Todd: Now, you're getting yourself worked up over nothing.
Viki: Nothing? Are you serious? You are the only one who knows where she is. You are the only one who knows what's going on with her, and you will not tell me!
Todd: I don't want to worry you.
Viki: Then talk to me.
Todd: Boy, if you keep this up, you're going to give yourself another heart attack.
Viki: Oh, that's a disgusting excuse. Don't use it. My condition wouldn't be half so bad if the rest of my family would just be honest with me. Now, if something terrible has happened to Jessica, I need to know.
Todd: Nothing terrible has happened to Jessica. Now, you're getting yourself worked up over nothing. I just talked to her. She's fine.
Viki: You're lying.
Tess: Talk to me, Jessie. We have a deal or what?
Jessica: I'm not making any deals with you.
Tess: Even though you want to know why? Why all of a sudden have I popped out? Don't you want to know the truth once and for all? Don't you want to know this big, deep, dark secret? Fine. Whatever. See you. Talk to you next time.
Jessica: No, wait. I want to know the truth. I want to know what happened. I want to know everything.
Michael: I just got your message. You ok?
Marcie: Yeah, yeah. Well, John just took some of his men and he took them down to the love center.
Michael: How did he know that the killer would take Evangeline and Natalie there? Did you guys get a tip?
Marcie: No. No, I told him.
Michael: You told him? I don't -- I don't understand.
Marcie: Well, see, the killer, he got -- somehow got ahold of one of the original "Killing Club" journals, and there was an idea in there about how to get rid of the two captains of the cheerleading squad and --
Michael: So, what was the idea?
Marcie: No, no, I -- I don't want to tell you. I don't want --
Michael: No, come on, you can tell me. You can tell me anything, Marcie.
Marcie: No, Michael, I can't tell you this.
Michael: Come on, it's ok. It's ok.
Marcie: Well, there was -- see, we were going to -- we were going to -- we were going to tie them. We were going to kidnap them and then we were going to tie them both up and we were going to bring them to the gym. And --
Michael: And then?
Marcie: And then we were going to burn them at the stake.
Officer: Doesn't look disturbed, lieutenant. Maybe they're not here.
John: No, they're here.
Kevin: My son's a hostage? You let Carlo Hesser's goons take Duke and Adriana prisoner?
Asa: I didn't let them do anything. Hesser must've figured out that he needed a bargaining chip.
Bo: Why, pa?
Kevin: I don't care what happened between you and Hesser, ok? I want to know how Duke go mixed up in all this.
Asa: Duke followed me down or tracked me down to Argentina. I sure as hell didn't invite him down there.
Bo: And Adriana?
Asa: I didn't even know she was there. Typical meddling Cramer woman.
Kevin: Ok, shut up!
Bo: Now, easy, Kev.
Kevin: No, I'm serious. Family or no family, Asa, I mean, if something happens to Duke, I swear --
Bo: That's enough, that's enough. Look, nobody's madder at him right now than I am, but yelling at him -- that's not going to bring back Duke and Adriana.
Kevin: That's all I want.
Bo: Well, that's what we all want. And what does Hesser want, pa?
Asa: You are not going to like it any more than I did, Bo.
Bo: What's he want?
Asa: If you don't drop all the charges against him, Duke and Adriana are dead.
Adriana: This is not good, Duke.
Duke: Not even close to good.
Adriana: We need to think of something really soon or those creeps out there are really going to kill us.
Duke: Maybe we can rig another booby trap or something.
Adriana: Sorry, I only have one bra to give to my country. What?
Duke: You, joking at a time like this.
Adriana: Well, what's the alternative?
Duke: You know, you are one brave woman, you know that? I'm sorry. I'm sorry for getting you into this.
Adriana: You didn't, ok? I followed you here. I'm not sorry that I did.
Duke: Even now?
Adriana: Duke, when you called me, I knew something was wrong. I knew something bad had happened. I had to come find you. That's what you do when someone you care about is in trouble. So if I absolutely have to be locked up in a cabana in South America, being held by two thugs that want to kill me, there's no one else I'd rather be locked up with. Wait a minute.
Duke: What, what?
Adriana: I just realized something.
Duke: What is it?
Adriana: This is your fault, Duke. It's all your fault!
Kevin: Carlo threatened to kill them?
Asa: I'm sorry, son.
Kevin: You're sorry? You're sorry? Is that supposed to make me feel better?
Asa: You think I wanted that to happen?
Kevin: I don't know what you want, grandpa! Everything that's going on, you set in motion!
Asa: I said I was sorry!
Kevin: Oh, good!
Bo: Can I trust you two to be alone without killing each other?
Kevin: No! I'm not -- where you going?
Bo: I'm going to go catch a rat. Get Carlo Hesser up here, please.
Michael: You were going to burn cheerleaders at the stake? Marcie, that's sick.
Marcie: You mean I'm sick. That's what you mean.
Bo: Where's John?
Marcie: I figured out what the killer's clue meant, "B.B." It means "basketball," and John thinks that Evangeline and Natalie might be at the love center court, the basketball court.
Bo: Did he take backup?
Marcie: Yes, he did.
Bo: Good. Look, Marcie, you remember the drill here?
Bo: I want you to take any calls for me, ok? I want to know if anything's going down.
Marcie: Absolutely, commissioner.
Bo: Thank you.
Michael: Marcie, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to come down on you so hard. I just --
Marcie: It's ok.
Michael: You know, you were just a kid and these people were picking on you.
Marcie: Well, it really wasn't anything that we were ever going to do, Michael, but now someone somehow is taking everything and they're making it real.
Michael: Yeah, yeah, and that someone -- he's sick, not you. Look, John is on this, ok? He'll take care of it. He'll come through.
John: Let's get some bolt cutters down here.
Officer: Yes, sir.
John: Two of you get inside from around back. You can use the fire escape to get to the second floor. Maybe there's a way in from there. How we doing on those bolt cutters?
Officer: No good, sir.
John: All right, go try the other car.
Officer: Yes, sir.
John: We got to get inside now.
Todd: That's pretty cold, Viki, accusing me of lying about something like this.
Viki: Oh, what, are you hurt?
Todd: As a matter of fact.
Viki: Todd, please. I don't have time for games, all right? Jessie is my daughter. She's my flesh and blood. And if she's hurting, I'm hurting. That's what it means to be a parent. You know that better than anyone.
Todd: You're asking me to go back on my word.
Viki: No, I'm just asking you to level with me. Come on, if Starr or Jack were in any kind of trouble, wouldn't you move heaven and earth to get to them? Haven't you done that in the past?
Todd: I made Jessica a promise. And I'm trying to respect her wishes here.
Viki: When Starr was missing, if somebody had said, "you have to respect my wishes and go away," would you have done it?
Viki: No. So why do you expect me to do it?
Todd: I don't want to lose you.
Viki: I'm a lot stronger than you think, ok?
Todd: Yeah, Viki, you're not as strong as you think. That's why you wound back up in the hospital.
Viki: I don't care about that now, all right?
Todd: Well, I do.
Viki: Todd, I would die for my children. Don't you get that? Please. Please don't shut me out now. Look, if you don't tell me, I'm just going to hound you 24 hours a day, seven days a week, until you tell me the truth!
Todd: Whew. You're serious, aren't you?
Viki: Yes, I am as serious as my heart attack!
Todd: Stop. Where'd you learn this?
Viki: Learn what?
Todd: Fighting dirty like this.
Viki: Oh, come on. I have picked up a few things along the way. Come on, tell me.
Todd: Ok, sis, you win. I'll tell you everything you want to know about Jess.
Tess: So come on, cupcake. Do we have a deal, or am I going to go and take a siesta?
Jessica: All right, all right. You tell me the secret and I'll stop fighting you. I'll let you out.
Nun: Poor thing.
Jessica: So, what is it?
Tess: Well, you have to say please.
Jessica: Damn you.
Tess: Tsk, tsk, tsk, tsk. Temper, temper.
Jessica: Ok, ok. Please, tell me what happened.
Tess: Ok, but prepare yourself because this story is a doozy. Sit down, Jessica. Close your eyes.
Tess: Now try to remember what it was like to be a little girl. Don't fight me, Jessica, or you're never going to find out.
Jessica: I'm not fighting you. I'm just --
Tess: Scared? Relax. It'll all be ok. You know what they say about the truth -- sets you free. Think back, Jessie. Clint and Viki were your parents, Joey and Kevin were your brothers. Perfect family. Or were you? Underneath it all, things weren't so perfect, now, were they? That big, beautiful house you lived in was nothing but a house of secrets. It was a house of lies. But you were just a little girl. How could you be expected to handle all the things you saw, all the things that happened?
Jessica: No! Stop it! I don't want to hear any more!
Tess: That was almost too easy. Wow. Jessica, you fell right into my trap. You see, honey, the truth doesn't set you free. It just buries you deep inside so I can come out and play. And now that it's play time, how do I get out of this loony bin?
Kevin: Maybe I should call Dorian, tell her about Adriana.
Asa: Oh, yeah. She'll be a big help. By the time that harpy flies in here on her broomstick, Duke and Adriana will be fine.
Kevin: Oh, really can you promise me that?
Asa: Yes. Every time I've tangled with the Hesser character, I have beat him.
Kevin: Well, there's always a first time, isn't there, Asa? And you'd better hope that this one doesn't cost Duke his life.
Kevin: Where's my son, huh, you son of a bitch? Where is he?
Carlo: I have every intention of letting him and the girl go just as soon as I'm granted full immunity from prosecution and a one-way ticket out of the United States.
Bo: We don't make deals with lowlifes like you, Hesser.
Carlo: It's your call. But the kids die.
Kevin: The kids -- if the kids die --
Carlo: Easy, easy --
Kevin: Listen to me! If those kids die, I swear to God I will kill you with my own hands! You understand me?
Michael: He should've called by now, Marcie.
Marcie: John will call as soon as he knows something, Michael, ok?
Michael: No, I'm going down there.
Marcie: No. No, you have got to let John handle this, ok? You said yourself that he's not going to let us down, Michael.
Michael: Ok. You're right. I just -- I can't stop thinking about what they're going through. You know, Natalie and Evangeline --
Marcie: They're both really strong women, Michael. I know they can get through this.
Michael: Yeah, well, Evangeline maybe, but to tell you the truth, I -- Natalie likes people to think that she's a lot tougher than she actually is.
Marcie: So you've gotten to know Natalie pretty well.
Michael: Well, you know, Natalie Vega's a real piece of work. She likes to talk and act like a real tough case, but underneath all of that, she's really just a frightened little girl.
John: It's going down at the love center right now. Good.
John: Here you go.
John: Go around that way.
Duke: Oh, wait a minute. You're now blaming me for all this?
Adriana: Do you see anybody else in this ugly room?
Duke: Oh, great, thanks. That's just what I need right now.
Adriana: Oh, are you feeling sorry for yourself, hero boy? Nice job, by the way.
Duke: Oh, and I suppose you could've done better, huh?
Adriana: I wouldn't have gotten us stuck here in the first place!
Duke: You know, you are a pain in the ass, you know that?
Adriana: And you're an idiot! My mother was right about you all along.
Duke: Yeah, well, Asa was right about you. You're just another whining, conniving Cramer woman!
Adriana: I can't take this anymore. Let me out of here!
Man: What the hell's going on in here?
Adriana: You have to let me out of here! I can't stand another minute with this fool!
Man: I'm sorry, sweetheart. My orders are to hold both of you until Asa Buchanan comes through.
Adriana: Why? You already have his great-grandson. You don't need me.
Duke: Thanks a lot for the loyalty.
Adriana: You think I want to die for you, you pompous jerk?
Man: Keep it down, all right?
Duke: Oh, does the spoiled little princess want to go home to mommy, huh?
Adriana: Bite me!
Duke: You know what, if you weren't a woman, I swear I'd --
Adriana: Oh, my God, are you going to stand there and let him hit me?
Man: Step back.
Bo: All right, that's enough.
Kevin: Where is my son?
Bo: Now, come on.
Kevin: Where is he?
Bo: Come on. Come on.
Carlo: I want to file assault charges against this maniac!
Bo: Hey. For what? I didn't see anything. Did you see anything, pa?
Asa: I didn't see anything.
Carlo: Very amusing. But the clock is ticking, gentlemen. Duke and Adriana will die unless I get immunity. Ooh, yes, yes, yes, yes, I almost forgot -- I want his full confession for everything that happened to Blair Cramer.
Bo: I don't think you hear too well, Carlo. I said we don't make deals.
Carlo: Oh, you --
Asa: I'll sign it. Whatever he wants.
Carlo: An excellent choice, Asa.
Bo: Hey, you sure you know what you're doing?
Asa: Yep. I am saving my great-grandson's life.
Bo: Gary? Keep an eye on him.
Kevin: He came through, didn't he?
Bo: Yeah. Yeah, pa usually does when it comes to family, so I'll send somebody in there to get his statement. Look, John may know where Natalie and Evangeline were taken, so I got to get over there.
Kevin: Yeah, sure, ok.
Bo: You think I should let Viki know that we might have a lead?
Kevin: Uh, my first instinct is to say no, but I promised her I'd keep her informed and she'll want to know. Good or bad, she'll want to know, so --
Viki: Ok, I'm waiting.
Todd: This thing with Jessica is complicated to explain.
Viki: Ok, so just explain it.
Todd: Ok. You know about the sleepwalking and the headaches?
Todd: She started to see this shrink.
Todd: You know how I feel about them usually, but this guy put her under.
Viki: He hypnotized her?
Viki: Ok, and what happened? Will you please tell me what happened?
Todd: Better get it.
Viki: No. The machine can pick it up.
Todd: Might be Jessica.
Viki: Hello? Bo. Oh, my God.
Todd: What is it?
Viki: It's Natalie.
Todd: You ok?
Viki: No, I don't know what I am. I don't know how I feel.
Todd: Sit back down.
Viki: No, I can't. No, I really can't sit down.
Todd: What did Bo say?
Viki: That lead that they thought they had earlier -- that didn't pan out, and now it looks like they have Natalie and Evangeline, and this man is -- he's holding them hostage at the Love Center. Please, can we go there?
Todd: No, no, no. No way.
Todd: No, no. Just stay here. You let Bo and the cops do their jobs.
Viki: When did common sense come into your life?
Todd: I'm trying to learn a little self-control here, a little trust. I think you should do the same. I think you should trust me about Jessica. I think you should trust Bo and the cops to handle this -- this situation with Natalie, which I'm sure is a -- a misunderstanding, like with that waitress at the diner the other day. Natalie's fine, I'm sure. You need to worry about yourself.
Viki: You're right, you're right. I know, I know. I could get sick or something worse could happen, and that would be terrible. You're right. Ok, I will stay here, and I'll just wait for them to call.
Todd: Good. I know it's terrible to have to wait, but you're making the right choice.
Viki: It's not easy. No, it isn't easy. I hate to ask you this, but do you think you could make me a cup of tea or something? Thank you.
Todd: At your service, madam.
Viki: Thank you so much. So I lied. It was in a good cause.
Marcie: I've known Natalie a lot longer than you, and I think that when she has to be, she can be really determined. She knows how to take care of herself, Michael. Trust me on that one.
Michael: I hope you're right. You know, if there was nothing wrong, my brother would have called by now.
Marcie: Look, I'm worried, too, ok? But we shouldn't go jumping to any conclusions.
Michael: No, I'm just not real good at waiting around, ok?
Michael: It's the hospital. I got to go.
Marcie: Go. I'll be fine.
Michael: Ok, just do me a favor. You find out anything, you hear anything at all about Natalie, you give me a call, ok?
Marcie: And what about Evangeline?
Michael: Right. Both of them.
Tess: Sister, I am so sorry.
Nun: It's all right, Jessica.
Nun: No real harm done.
Tess: Here you go. Let me help you.
Nun: Thank you, Jessica.
Tess: You're welcome. Now it's time to bust out of this penguin hotel.
Addie: Excuse me. Where are you going with the sister's keys?
Tess: So the keys --
Addie: Sister, you dropped something.
Nun: Thank you, Addie.
Tess: Yeah, thanks.
Addie: You're welcome. Wait a minute. I know who you are. You're Todd's niece.
Tess: Yeah, yeah, I am. And you're Eddie or --
Addie: Not Eddie, Addie. Silly.
Tess: Yeah, Addie, that's what I meant. Whatever. How are you?
Addie: I'm very well. I'm -- I'm working on my scrapbook. Would you like to see it?
Tess: Maybe some other time.
Addie: I have it right here. I'll show you. I'm making this so that I can paste in all my special memories.
Tess: Oh, sounds like tons of fun.
Addie: Oh, it is. This is Blair. She's my daughter.
Addie: Of course, you already know that, don't you? Isn't she beautiful?
Tess: Yeah, yeah, she's a real babe.
Addie: You're funny. And this is a copy of my granddaughter's report card.
Tess: Wow. Really? That's great.
Addie: She's the smartest one in the whole class. But her teachers say that she has a problem with authority.
Tess: Really? Sounds like my kind of chick. Oh, this place gives me the creeps.
Addie: Excuse me?
Tess: Nothing, nothing. Go on.
Addie: Here's the place where Blair and Todd had to sign Starr's report card. Here is Blair's name, here is Todd.
Nun: We understand. Only Todd Manning can sign you out.
Tess: Show me that report card again.
Adriana: I'm getting pretty good at this.
Duke: Uh, yeah, but let's not make a habit of it, ok? We were lucky this time.
Adriana: I can't believe they fell for that phony argument.
Duke: Yeah. Well, you had me going for a minute.
Duke: "Bite me"?
Adriana: I had to sound mad. But just so you know -- I don't think you're a pompous jerk.
Duke: Well, and I don't think you're a spoiled princess, either.
Adriana: Or a whining, conniving Cramer woman? I really liked that one.
Man: You two lovebirds, laugh it up while you can. My boss isn't going to be very happy about this.
Duke: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Put a sock in it.
Asa: This what you want?
Carlo: I'll let you know in a minute.
Kevin: Thank you.
Asa: Ah, hell, Kevin. I would do anything for Duke.
Kevin: It might mean prison time for you, you know that.
Asa: Yep. Well, your grandfather's had a damn good run. Maybe it's time for you boys to handle things.
Kevin: I love you, grandpa.
Asa: And you, too, son.
Carlo: How touching. All we need is your signature and my immunity agreement.
Kevin: The A.D.A. is on his way.
Asa: You will get your damn signature.
Asa: Oh. Whoever the hell this is, I cannot talk. I am in the act of giving in to the worst piece of trash I could name. Carlo Hesser.
Duke: I wouldn't do that if I were you.
Bo: What's going on?
Officer: We're conducting a search, commissioner.
Bo: All right, did you find anything?
Officer: Nothing yet, but lieutenant Mc Bain is inside, sir. I was calling for backup. Want me to go get him?
Bo: No, no, no, you carry on with what you're doing.
Officer: Yes, sir.
Viki: Bo, did you find Natalie? Is she here?
Bo: We don't know, ok, Viki? John's in there with our people right now, searching.
Viki: Is that the fire alarm?
Bo: Get the fire department and paramedics here now!
John: Hey, hang in there.
Bo: You got the fire extinguishers? Let's go! No, no, bad idea. You wait here.
Viki: Bo, that might be my daughter in there!
Bo: We'll find Natalie. You wait here.
Viki: Oh, God, please -- please, please, please keep Natalie safe. Keep them both safe, please.
Asa: Well. Well. What -- what a surprise.
Duke: Don't make any deals with Hesser. Adriana and I are ok.
Asa: You sure about that now?
Duke: Yeah. We took care of Hesser's men. We're fine.
Asa: Well, I sure knew that you would be.
Carlo: Your calls can wait, Asa. I want that signature, now.
Asa: Kevin, there's somebody on this phone that would like to talk to you.
Duke: Yeah, it's me.
Kevin: Are you all right?
Duke: We are now.
Kevin: Thank God.
Asa: Ooh. What is the matter, Carlo? You're not smiling. Ooh, and again, and again. There isn't a damn day in this whole world that you, or the likes of you could ever whip a Buchanan. Die.
Todd: Tea is served.
Nun: Mr. Manning, this is Sister Roberta at St. Ann's.
Sister Roberta: I'm just going over the paperwork, and I'm a little surprised you arranged for Jessica's release.
Todd: Excuse me? Release?
Sister Roberta: Well, yes, she was signed out a while ago.
Todd: I never signed her out.
Sister Roberta: It's your signature I'm looking at, Mr. Manning.
John: Hey. You ok? Are you ok?
Evangeline: I think so.
Bo: Get those fires out now!
John: Bo, help Natalie!
Bo: Where is she?
John: What do you mean? She's right --
>> On the next "One Life to Live" --
Dorian: What is it that you're hiding about Spencer from me?
Kevin: You're the love of my life. I'm not going to run away anymore.
Lisa: Did you just say John rescued Natalie first?
Viki: John, where is my daughter?
