Bo: Hey, Dick?

Dick: Yes, Sir.

Bo: Daniel Colson's being transferred today, and so far the media hasn't caught wind of it, so I'd like to keep it that way. All right? I don't want it to turn into another circus.

Dick: All right, it'll be good to clear out garbage, Sir.

Bo: Not soon enough for me.

Bo: Ahem. Surprised to see you back.

Nora: I work here.

Bo: Well, I know, but I thought that you'd want to take just a little bit more time off.

Nora: My new job couldn't wait.

Bo: What new job?

Nora: I've been appointed to replace Daniel. I'm the new District Attorney. So I guess that makes me more or less someone that you report to.

R.J.: I still don't see why this couldn't happen at Capricorn.

Man: Well, I thought we should meet on neutral ground. You don't want your employees to hear what I have to say.

R.J.: Why? What is the problem now? I mean, you just told me that I'm close to bankruptcy.

Man: Someone made an all-cash offer to buy Capricorn this morning.

R.J.: I own Capricorn.

Man: Well, now the bank does, and they are drawing papers to transfer ownership as we speak.

R.J.: Who the hell's trying to steal my club?

Rex: Hey. So did my tip about R.J.'s cash-flow problems pay off?

Antonio: Yeah, yeah, it helped, thanks.

Rex: So I get a bonus?

Antonio: Not now, Balsom. Natalie called me to meet here. Where is she?

Rex: In there with the rest of the clan. Been here all night.

Antonio: What's going on?

Rex: It's Viki.

Paige: We've taken your mother off the ventilator, but we do have her heavily sedated. It's a precautionary measure. We need to keep her as calm as possible.

Kevin: So where's her cardiologist?

Paige: Checking her labs. He asked me to fill you in on her condition.

Natalie: She had a heart attack, right?

Paige: Her heart did stop, but the paramedics were able to get it beating again. It's just that resuscitation, it takes a lot out of a patient.

Natalie: Does this have to do with the heart transplant?

Paige: Well, it's like I told you yesterday, Natalie. It's vasculopathy. She's not getting enough blood to the inner vein that was grafted. But, yes, it can be caused by transplant.

Kevin: So how do we treat it?

Paige: Well, first, we try drugs, and hopefully we can get her condition under control quickly that way.

Kevin: And if that doesn't work?

Paige: Then we're going to have to take more dramatic action.

Kelly: Hey.

Blair: Hey.

Kelly: Want some coffee?

Blair: No, I don't think I can drink that.

Kelly: I don't blame you. It looks like some kind of biological experiment.

Blair: God, I hate hospitals. Todd was here all night. I swear, I thought he was going to tear this place up, he was so upset.

Kelly: Where is he now?

Blair: He -- he's out looking for Jessica. Nobody seems to know where to find her.

Todd: Hey, wake up.

Jessica: Ow! Todd, what are you doing?

Todd: If Viki dies, it's your fault.

Spencer: Amanda, after you finish typing my notes, please be sure to get the slides I ordered from medical imaging. I would like to do some -- good morning, Davey.

David: What a dump. It's a little déclassé for you, isn't it?

Spencer: Well, I found the espresso machine. You know, I can live without just about anything else.

David: Including a soul.

Spencer: All right, well, look, it's only temporary. I mean, sooner or later, I will have to get back to my practice, right?

David: When are you leaving?

Spencer: When my work is finished.

David: Work or "work"?

Blair: David. What are you doing here?

Spencer: Mr. Vickers was just leaving. You looking for me?

Blair: Oh, no. I was actually hunting for an aspirin. You'd think they'd have one in this establishment somewhere.

David: Yeah, for 50 bucks.

Blair: Well, right now I would pay anything. Todd's sister is in intensive care.

David: Viki? What's wrong with Viki?

Blair: Yeah. She collapsed last night, her heart.

Spencer: I know. Dr. Miller consulted me on the case. It's a tough one.

Blair: Well, I hope you have another miracle up your sleeve.

Spencer: Actually, she's got the best cardiologist on staff, but I might be able to do something about that headache. Why don't you come on in here?

Kevin: What do you mean, "Take more dramatic action"?

Paige: There is a procedure. It's called T.L.R. It's still in the developmental stages, but --

Natalie: Oh, no, no, no, you're not turning our mother into a guinea pig.

Paige: I would never, never put your mother under any unnecessary dangers.

Kevin: Natalie's just upset.

Natalie: No, don't apologize for me.

Paige: It's okay. It's okay. I'm not offended. This is your mother's life we're talking about, and, yes, I do hope that the drugs do their job. But we're going to have to just wait and see.

Jessica: Why are you talking about Mom dying? What happened?

Todd: You really don't remember?

Jessica: No, I swear, I really don't remember. Please, can you tell me what happened? Is Mom okay?

Todd: No, she's not okay. She had a heart attack last night, collapsed. I took her to the hospital, but --

Jessica: Well, is she going to be all right?

Todd: They don't know.

Jessica: Okay, I have to go.

Todd: No.

Jessica: I have to go and see my mother, Todd.

Todd: You're going to make it worse.

Jessica: What? What are you talking about? Why are you saying that if mom dies it's my fault?

Todd: What'd you do last night?

Jessica: I don't -- I don't know. I -- I -- I -- I had an appointment with my doctor, my -- my therapist, Dr. Jamison. I had an appointment with him.

Todd: And then? You want me to fill in the blanks for you? Maybe we should ask Tess.

Jessica: How do you know -- how do you know about Tess?

Todd: I know everything. I know you have D.I.D.

Jessica: No, you're wrong, I don’t.

Todd: She's a slutty bitch, isn't she?

Jessica: I went to Dr. Jamison and he said he would hypnotize me and bring her out just to talk to her and then put her back. What did I do?

Todd: You went partying, Xanadu.

Jessica: You were there?

Todd: Yeah. I saw how you work. And I thought your mom should know about it.

Jessica: You told her?

Todd: Uh, no. Tess got to her first. Of course, Viki didn't know it was Tess. She thought it was you, who blamed her for everything that's ever gone wrong in your life.

Jessica: I said that?

Todd: Yeah. You tore her to shreds.

Jessica: I -- I have to get out of here before I do any more damage.

Todd: It's too late for that.

Jessica: God, at least she's still alive.

Todd: Right, but what's she going to do if she wakes up and finds you're missing? She's got a heart condition. She's not going to be able to survive that.

Jessica: What should I do?

Todd: I don't know. You should probably change. We don't want Viki to see you like this. So Tess won this round, but we can't let Viki know about it.

Lindsay: I need to see Commissioner Buchanan.

Officer: He's busy.

Lindsay: Daniel Colson's lawyers got him a change of venue.

Officer: Ma'am --

Lindsay: That monster killed my daughter. If the jury lets him off, I swear to God I'll kill him myself.

Bo: Last time I checked, I don't work for the District Attorney. I didn't realize that they'd offered you the job.

Nora: I ran against Daniel.

Bo: I know. I was in your camp.

Nora: But now you think my appointment was a mistake because of my relationship with Daniel?

Bo: I didn't say that.

Nora: I may have lousy taste in men, but I'm a damn fine prosecutor.

Bo: I know that, but I just think that you could take a little more time.

Nora: I'm fine.

Bo: Well, yeah, but it's okay if you're not. It's okay if you're still angry at me for the way Colson's arrest went down, but I don't think that's going to make for a good working relationship now that you're the D.A.

Nora: Now that I'm the D.A., we should actually set some ground rules.

Bo: Ground rules?

Nora: Yes. My personal life is not going to interfere with my work, and my personal feelings about you will not interfere with my working with you.

Bo: Okay. I'm just worried you're rushing back too soon.

Nora: Tell me, Bo, if I was anyone else, the new kid on the block, the new D.A., would you be this interested?

Bo: No. But you're not anyone else. You're Matthew’s mom.

Nora: Yes, and we're doing fine there. Let's do fine here, too.

Bo: Fine? How could you be doing fine?

Nora: Because that's what I am. That's what I have to be.

R.J.: Who's trying to buy my club out from under me?

Man: The bank won't divulge the name of the buyer, but I'm already afraid it's a fait accompli.

R.J.: I don't hear a plan here, hmm? Aren't you going to do anything to try to stop this?

Man: You got more serious problems, R.J.

R.J.: Get me the name. And then I want this mystery person's offer withdrawn, hmm, and I will use whatever persuasion necessary.

Man: Ooh. That kind of talk will get you into trouble.

R.J.: I want that name.

Man: All right. I'll need to move some things around so that you don't lose ultra violet, too. But I'm warning you, R.J., you're going to need a new source of income, very soon.

[Phone rings]

Rex: Yeah.

R.J.: Meet me at The Palace.

Rex: R.J. -- R.J. wants to see me. Is it about what you did to him?

Antonio: Well, there's only one way to find out. Go see him.

Rex: On my way. Hey, you okay, Nattie?

Natalie: They threw us out.

Antonio: How's she doing?

Natalie: Well, they won't tell us much.

Rex: Listen, I've got to run out for a while. You going to be okay here?

Natalie: I'm fine. Thanks for coming over. I just wish I knew where Jessica was.

Jessica: Wait, wait, what am I going to tell people when they ask where I've been? I can't tell them the truth.

Todd: Why not?

Jessica: Why not? Todd, Mom is going to know that they're hiding something. I don't want to upset her even more.

Todd: I don't think that's possible at this point.

Jessica: Shut -- listen, she's been asking me questions, okay? She knows that there's something up with me.

Todd: This -- this cat you've been seeing, he's a run-of-the-mill shrink. I think you need to see an expert. See this Susannah Hanen woman, the one that fixed Viki. I'm sure she could fix you, too.

Jessica: Okay, fine, I'll see her, but just don't tell anybody.

Antonio: Jess. Where have you been? We've left messages everywhere.

Todd: She's on assignment with "The Banner."

Jessica: How's my mother?

Antonio: She's in with the doctor. Jess, wait.

Todd: Hey, hey, hey. She's worried sick about her mother. She doesn't need the third degree from you.

Antonio: I know what she needs.

Todd: Then leave her alone.

Kevin: So mom's stable. They're giving her some kind of drugs to keep her condition under control.

Jessica: What condition? What's wrong with her?

Dr. Gardner: Hey. Welcome back.

Viki: What happened?

Dr. Gardner: You are in Llanview hospital. You had a coronary episode.

Viki: Cor-- it was a heart attack?

Dr. Gardner: Yes. And we are running some tests right now because we're trying to figure out what brought it on.

Viki: Jessica.

Lindsay: My daughter will never see another sunrise. She will never have another dream, another hope. She will never fall in love or have a family. You stole her life away from her. Bo, I want you to promise me that he is going to pay for what he did to my baby.

Bo: The only thing that I can promise you is to hand over enough evidence to the D.A. to make sure that he's put away forever.

Nora: Bo? May I have a word with the accused?

Bo: Decker?

Nora: I can't prosecute you, for obvious reasons. I can testify against you. But I don't want to go through that hell, that humiliation. I don't want to sit there in a court of law, tell everyone that the man I married has lied to me with every word, breath, touch. So I'm not going to. The way I see it, you owe me, and you're going to pay me back. And this is how. You'll stop the lying. You will confess. You will admit what you have done, and you'll do it for Riley and you'll do it for Jen so that she can rest in peace. And at the very least, you will say it to me, here, now, so that I can have a little peace of mind.

Daniel: What do you want me to say?

Nora: The words "I'm guilty." Even if you don't say it in court, I need you to say it to me, right here, right now. I'm not wearing a wire. I'm not recording it. I just need you to say it to me right now.

Daniel: What do you want to hear, Nora? The truth? That I've done unspeakable things?

Daniel: And I murdered an innocent young girl, lied to you, to Mark? Destroyed my son's life, along with my own?

Daniel: I'm guilty.

Bo: Is everything okay?

Nora: He's all yours.

Bo: Colson.

Kelly: Hey.

Kevin: Hey.

Kelly: The doctors wanted someone to go by Llanfair and pick up all of Viki's medications just to see if she's been taking too much of one thing and not enough of another. So I said I would do it so you can stay here.

Kevin: Oh. Thanks.

Kelly: How you holding up?

Kevin: I'm okay. I wish Duke was here, you know, to be with the family. I have to cancel a few meetings at B.E.

Kelly: I can sit in for you, if you think it would help.

Kevin: No, you know what? I don't want to ask you to do that. You've been busy enough lately, you know, with all the work you've been doing with Spencer Truman.

Kelly: Are you upset about that?

Kevin: No, of course not. I know it's just business.

Kelly: Yeah, it's -- what if it wasn't just business?

Kevin: Well, we're not married anymore. I mean, we can both date whoever we want. Right?

Kelly: Right. So are you seeing anyone?

Kevin: Kelly, right now all I can think about is if my mother is going to make it through the next few hours.

Kelly: Yeah, you're right. I'm -- I'm sorry. I know how worried you are about her. I am, too.

Kelly: I'm surprised to see you praying.

Kevin: Yeah, well, maybe you don't know me as well as you think you do.

David: If you're here to tell Spencer to get the hell out of dodge, you can take a number.

Paige: Have you figured out what he's doing in Llanview?

David: Not yet, but Spencer has always got an agenda, sometimes up to six.

Paige: Look, David, maybe it's just a stupid coincidence.

David: This is not a coincidence. You know that. You know --

Paige: Shh. Ahem.

David: Spencer is here because he wants something in Llanview. Whatever Spencer wants Spencer gets.

Spencer: All right, just take a deep breath, relax. Just hold it for a second. Now release.

Blair: Hmm.

Spencer: Very good. That should be better now. You should really try to repeat this every time you feel one of these headaches coming on.

Blair: You know, I think I can take it from here, thanks.

Spencer: You know, I could prescribe you something, but you're better off just going home, getting a good night's sleep, and try to stay away from anything or anyone who might be causing you so much anxiety.

Natalie: Thank you.

Antonio: Sure.

Natalie: This is awful.

Antonio: Your phone was off all night.

Jessica: Um -- yeah, I was working all night on a story. I'm going to go get some water.

Antonio: Does she seem okay to you?

Natalie: You know, I don't know. I've had so many dramas going on in my own life, I wasn't even paying attention. She's getting help, right?

Antonio: Yeah, yeah. I just hope it's the kind of help she needs.

Jessica: I have to be honest with Antonio.

Todd: No way. The guy's a powder keg. He can't even see his children by himself.

Jessica: Oh, that's not his fault, Todd.

Todd: Yeah, well, Tess told me he's the reason that you're having problems to begin with.

Jessica: She did?

Dr. Gardner: Jessica?

Jessica: Yes.

Dr. Gardner: Your mother's asking for you.

Viki: Jess. Jess? We need to talk about what happened.

Rex: I was summoned?

R.J.: I need a favor.

Rex: Ugh. Again? What do I get out of it?

R.J.: Every breath you've taken since you double-crossed me you've taken at my sufferance. I think that entitles me to a lifetime of favors.

Rex: What do you want?

R.J.: You know a lot of the club owners from U.V.?

Rex: So do you.

R.J.: Yeah, but this can't come from me. See, I need to know who wants Capricorn badly enough to pay cash for it.

Rex: You're selling Capricorn?

R.J.: Not after I convince this mystery buyer to reconsider.

Blair: All right, between Jack's virus and my headache, I am expecting quite a bill, Doctor.

Spencer: Seeing you smile's more than enough payment.

Blair: I'm going to go find Todd.

David: Psst. Blair.

Blair: What?

David: Just out of curiosity, did he put water and herbs on your forehead and tell you to breathe? That's his oldest trick. How many times do I have to tell you to stay away from Spencer?

Blair: David, what's it to you who I'm friends with? You haven't given me one reason, anyway.

David: What do I have to do to prove it to you?

Blair: There's nothing that you can do. You can bale on as much hair goop you need to keep your Jerry Lewis style and I still won't believe you.

[Phone rings]

Kelly: God -- hello!

Spencer: Kelly, Spencer Truman here. I hope it's not a bad time.

Kelly: No, no. Hang on one second. All right, sorry about that.

Spencer: Listen, I was going over some of the paperwork here for my E.R. project, and, well, you're obviously very good at what you do.

Kelly: Well, we're interested in funding your project because you are obviously very good at what you do.

Spencer: Well, there are a couple of things I'd like to discuss with you. Would you happen to be free for lunch?

Kelly: Oh, today is not a good day. My mother-in-law is in the hospital.

Spencer: Yes, I'm aware of that. I'm really sorry, but I really would like to get the ball rolling on this as soon as possible.

Kelly: Well, your project is really good for B.E. I just need to swing by the hospital first.

Spencer: Well, why don't you come by my office, at your convenience?

Kelly: Sounds great.

Spencer: Until then.

Viki: I -- I don't remember very much.

Jessica: I'm so sorry.

Viki: No, don't, don't be. I know that you and Todd, you were fighting and you were very angry.

Jessica: I'm so sorry. Mom, I really messed up. If it wasn't for me, none of this would have happened.

Viki: No, no, no, no, don't blame yourself. Jessica, I've been very ill, okay? Anything could have brought this on. Honey, it's not your fault. But what were you and Todd fighting about?

Bo: The van to transport the prisoner's waiting downstairs. These are his personal effects.

Daniel: Nora. Why don't you take them?

Nora: I don't want anything from you.

Daniel: There's a watch in there that belonged to my father. Give it to my son? Please? And there's also something in there for you.

Bo: Let's go, Colson.

Nora: For what it's worth, Lindsay, he told me the truth. I thought it would help hearing it come from his lips, but it didn’t.

Lindsay: Does that mean that he'll plead guilty?

Nora: I don't know. But I do know that he will go to prison. I promise you.

Lindsay: I believe you.

Lindsay: Everything in my life has changed. I can't even hate you the way I used to.

Todd: Where were you?

Blair: I was looking for an aspirin. Did you find Jessica?

Todd: She's in with Viki.

Jessica: Todd and I are fine. I just -- I just feel really terrible about you and me fighting.

Viki: Why? Mothers and daughters, they fight.

Jessica: Not us, not like that.

Viki: Honey, you children are my whole life. If there's something wrong, you have to tell --

Jessica: I can handle it. And if I can't handle it, it gives me no right to lash out at you like that. Mom, I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry. I'm so sorry.

Nurse: I'm sorry, but your mother needs her rest.

Antonio: Yeah?

Rex: R.J. thinks I'm talking to some underworld money guy, so just listen up. He's hellbent on trying to smoke out whoever's trying to buy Capricorn. I assume you're the guilty party.

Antonio: Where are you?

Rex: The Palace.

Antonio: Stay there. I'm on my way. How is she?

Jessica: Uh -- well, she's talking. I guess that's good.

Antonio: Listen, I need to go take care of some business. Are you going to be okay? Yeah? Okay. Call me if you need anything, okay?

Jessica: I will.

Kevin: What are you doing?

Spencer: Oh, hello, Kevin. I didn't see you standing there. They've asked me to consult on your mother's case.

Kevin: Are you a heart surgeon?

Spencer: Well, I have some experience in the field. Listen, I've got some information in my office -- you might find it interesting -- regarding your mother's condition. You want to take a look at it?

Kevin: Yeah, actually, I'd appreciate that.

Spencer: All right.

Jessica: Please, please don't let my mom die. It's just not fair. I mean, after everything that she's been through -- everything that she does is for her family. Please don't let her die because of something that Tess did, something that I did. I mean, we are the same person, right? I never meant for any of this to happen. I'm so, so, so, so sorry.

Natalie: Jess? What are you sorry about? What did you do?

David: Can I buy you a drink? Looks like you could use one.

Paige: No, no. I've got to get back to the hospital. I just came in to grab some lunch.

David: Oh. Will you be seeing your beau?

Paige: No. I just needed a break, okay?

David: You mean from Spencer?

Paige: It is so strange seeing somebody that you were so close to after all this time.

David: Tell me about it. I mean, not that he and I were close or anything, but he is my brother.

Paige: You know, I really wonder if Spencer and I ever had anything in common at all, just -- you know, I know that there was something there that bound us together.

David: Well, maybe it was the fact that you were husband and wife.

R.J.: Yeah, Lindsay, it's me. I was hoping we could get together later. I -- I need to talk. Someone bought Capricorn right out from under me. When I find out who it is, I swear I'm --

Antonio: You'll what?

R.J.: Call me when you get this, all right?

Antonio: You'll do what to me, R.J.?

R.J.: Vega?

Antonio: Yeah, that's right. I'm the new owner of Capricorn.

Spencer: You have any questions at all, just give me a call.

Kevin: Well, listen, thanks for taking an interest in my mother's case. I appreciate it.

Spencer: It's my pleasure. I was hoping to make a difference while I was here in Llanview.

[Knock on door]

Spencer: Come in.

Kelly: Oh. Hey, Kevin. Um -- are you ready for lunch, Spencer?

Spencer: Just keep the books as long as you like, all right? You know where to find me.

Jessica: Just I should have been with Mom. I should have checked my messages. I'm just so stupid.

Natalie: Oh, honey, no, no, you're not stupid. But you haven't been acting like yourself lately. Okay, look, maybe this is none of my business, but I think you should get back with Antonio. I think you should move in with him, get engaged. For God's sake, marry the man. He loves you, and you know you love him, and he's not afraid to say it.

Jessica: Natalie, love isn't always the answer for everything.

Natalie: Yes, it is. Cristian's love saved my life. Hey, and I see the way Antonio looks at you, and if -- if I had someone who loved me like that, I could build a life on that.

Jessica: Oh, it's not that simple, Nat.

Natalie: Hey. You know how mom's always talking to us about the power of love? How if you have true love that you can overcome anything? It makes you stronger. And you can heal, just like Ben’s love healed -- it healed her. I mean, they never gave up on each other. So, Jess, I think that we should love mom as much as we can, and we're going to make her better. Are you with me?

Kevin: Hey.

Bo: Hey, Kev. How's Viki?

Kevin: There's no change.

Bo: All right, I just got off the phone with Clint. He and Joey are ready to get on the first flight here. But I'm afraid if Viki saw them right now, it might really scare her, you know?

Kevin: Yeah, you're probably right.

Bo: Yeah. Okay, I got to get back to the station, check on something. Keep me posted, will you?

Kevin: All right.

Natalie: Can we see her?

Nurse: Sure, but immediate family only.

Natalie: Okay.

Tess: You want to know the truth? These past couple months, all of my "problems," the meds -- everything -- every bit of it is your fault. My life is a mess because of you!

[Monitor alarm]

Natalie: What's happening? What's -- what's going on?

Nurse: We got a code blue! We need a doctor in here!

Natalie: God, Mom.

Jessica: Oh, my God.

[Monitor flatlines]

Nurse: No pulse. Starting C.P.R.

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Nora: I couldn't help but overhear you and David.

Paige: Overhear what?

Michael: Get rid of the baggage. Tell her everything.

Evangeline: You push R.J., you could end up losing more than Jamie.

Jessica: Please tell me my mom's going to be all right.

Dr. Gardner: I'm sorry, but I think we're out of options.
