[Judge pounds gavel]
Judge: Order! I'll have order in this court!
[Judge pounds gavel]
Judge: Is that all, Miss Montgomery?
Bianca: Yes, Your Honor. Babe's son belongs with her. It's the only way to undo some of the damage that Paul Cramer did to everyone here.
Judge: You may step down.
Judge: We'll now hear the closing arguments.
Kelly: If that doesn't clinch it for Babe, I don't know what will.
Kevin: Well, there's nothing we can do about it anymore. It's up to the judge now.
John's voice: I'm going to keep your secret. Natalie won't find out from me that you're really Cristian Vega.
John: Hey. What's up?
Antonio: Looking for Jess. I thought she might be here.
John: No, I haven't seen her, man.
Antonio: Dodging me for some reason?
Antonio: Not too long ago, it felt like every time I looked up, you were there. Now all of a sudden, this Cristian impostor thing goes down, you're nowhere to be found.
John: I've been a little busy.
Antonio: Right. Not a lot to say, either.
John: I don't know what you're talking about.
Antonio: Uh-huh. All right, look; I've been cleared of this whole thing. You still can't look me in the eye. So what is it, John? What aren't you telling me this time?
Starr: Are my mom and dad in there?
Natalie: No, it's not them.
Jack: We can show everybody this.
Natalie: Oh, Honey, is that your mom and dad?
Jack: My friend Dustin put up pictures of his dog when he lost him, and he got him back.
Starr: Just like we're going to get Mom and Dad back, right?
Jack: Do you really think we'll find Mommy and Daddy?
Starr: When someone loves you as much as mom and dad loves us, they'll do anything to get back to us. Right, Natalie?
Hazel: Good Lord, what happened?
Bo: There was an explosion.
Viki: Listen, we have to go back. We have to find Todd!
Bo: Here, now, please, just sit down, okay? You're injured.
Viki: Bo --
Bo: No, what --
Viki: Come on, I'm fine!
Bo: You're bleeding.
Viki: Oh --
Bo: Dorian, you take care of this.
Bo: Yeah -- you're a doctor!
Dorian: It's true, but if Viki doesn't want me to --
Viki: Come on, this is nothing!
Dorian: She doesn't want me to.
Viki: Come on, we have to go back. Todd needs us, please.
Bo: Look, I will go back up there, but I want to be straight with both of you. I don't see how Todd could've survived that blast.
Blair: Oh, Mama. Mama.
Addie: That's right, Blair. It's me.
Blair: Mama, how'd you find me? Where -- where is everybody? Where's Dorian?
Addie: Dori couldn't come. It's just me, Blair.
Blair: But -- you know what? It doesn't matter. I'm out of that trunk! Oh, my God, come on. We've got to find Todd. Come on.
Addie: I can't leave.
Addie: Because I'm not really here. Neither are you, Blair.
Blair: Mama, what are you talking about?
Addie: You're still in there.
Blair: Oh, no, Mama. Oh, no, this is a dream, isn't it?
Addie: Something like that.
Blair: But, mama, where's Todd? Is he all right?
Addie: Oh, Blair, I'm so sorry. Todd's gone.
John: Look, not everything's a conspiracy, all right? There's nothing going on. Is that good enough for you?
John: Okay, why don't you tell me what's going on with Jess.
Antonio: I was supposed to meet her last night; she didn't show.
John: She's a busy girl; maybe something came up.
Antonio: I don't think so. I passed by her house; I didn't see her car.
John: Well, let's not panic. There's got to be an explanation in there somewhere.
Antonio: I don't think you're hearing me, John. She's still getting letters from that stalker.
John: Wait, I thought you told me that was Cris.
Antonio: No. No, it wasnít. This is different.
John: Different how? What is this?
Antonio: Look, forget it, all right?
John: No, I'm not going to forget it. I'll look into it for you, all right?
Antonio: Don't bother. I'll find Jess myself.
Evangeline: What happened?
John: I don't know. I guess Antonio was supposed to meet Jessica last night and she never showed up.
Evangeline: She still getting those threatening letters?
John: Yeah, yeah, that's what he said.
Evangeline: Well, are you concerned?
John: Bo's looking into it.
Evangeline: Oh, right, because normally when your friends get in trouble, you let other people handle it.
John: You know, I don't know what the hell that's supposed to mean, but when it comes to those two, Antonio and Jessica, who the hell knows what's going on with them?
Mr. Lasko: This case is not about Babe Chandler kidnapping a baby or even Kelly Cramer doing the same. No, this is about two women who were the victims of a sick individual, an individual who took one woman's baby and gave him to another.
Kelly: I don't believe this. He's the most beautiful thing I've ever seen. Is he mine? Here you go. Be good.
Mr. Lasko: I therefore can see no other logical conclusion than to bestow custody of the child to his mother, Babe Chandler.
Ms. Pace: My client, J.R. Chandler, has been lied to time and time again, first by his soon-to-be-ex-wife, Babe Chandler, who knowingly led him to believe that someone else's child was his, then by others here in this court who kept him from his son. In fact, J.R. Chandler is the only one in this whole sad situation who has done no wrong. All he is asking of this court is to right the wrongs done to him and his son by granting him custody of his child.
Judge: This concludes closing arguments. We'll take a recess and be back here in 45 minutes for a decision.
Bailiff: All rise.
Bo: Do you mind if I use your phone?
Hazel: Oh, sure, it's right around the corner on the table.
Bo: Thank you.
Hazel: Now, is there anything else I can do to help?
Dorian: No, just give me those bandages, please.
Viki: Thank you very, very much.
Hazel: All right. Now, I'm going to go fix some tea.
Viki: Thank you.
Bo: It's Commissioner Buchanan again. I need a forensics team sent up here and an ambulance.
Viki: No, I don't need an ambulance!
Dorian: Viki, will you please cooperate so that I can fix this for you and then leave and go find Blair?
Viki: Blair? Just Blair? I mean, is that really all you care about?
Dorian: I never made a secret of the fact that she is my primary concern.
Bo: We got a team on the way. I'm going to go back up to the cabin, and I'll let you know if there's any news.
Viki: Thank you.
Viki: You know perfectly well "what."
Dorian: Am I being insensitive to the loss of your brother? Please accept my sincerest condolences.
Viki: You really are awful.
Dorian: Though, there are a great many people who would feel that Todd got what he justly deserved.
Dorian: Karma, anyone?
Viki: Oh, for God's sakes, you are talking about my brother!
Evangeline: So, are you going to help Antonio with Jessica?
John: You heard him. He doesn't want my help.
Evangeline: That doesn't mean he doesn't need your help.
John: You can't help people who don't want to help themselves.
Evangeline: Antonio's your friend.
John: Sometimes. Look, you can't just help everybody, even when they're your friends. And you know something? I got to work on not getting so personally involved in these cases.
Evangeline: I would call Bo "personally involved." Jessica is his niece.
John: Well, maybe Bo is better at handling it than me. How's that? Don't -- hey, I'm -- I'm sorry. I -- I'm sorry.
Evangeline: Look, something is bothering you, and it's more than Antonio.
John: I'm handling it.
Evangeline: Are you?
John: Not very well. But I sure as hell didn't mean to take it out on you.
Evangeline: When you're ready to talk, I'm ready to listen.
John: You know, I don't deserve you.
Evangeline: What -- what?
John: I don't deserve you.
Evangeline: I'm sorry, can you just --
John: I don't deserve you!
Evangeline: No, you're right, you're right, you donít. You don't deserve me. But you're stuck with me. Get to it.
John: "Get to it."
Evangeline: But be careful, John. That's a lot of weight on your shoulders.
Jack: Do you think my mommy and daddy are coming back, Natalie?
Starr: Oh, my gosh, Jack, would you just stop? I already told you that they were! Stop acting like such a dork!
Natalie: Jack, why don't you draw a picture for your mom and dad for when they come home, okay?
Starr: Here it comes -- another lecture.
Natalie: When have I ever lectured you?
Starr: I don't know, you try and sneak it in. You always try and tell me how much you were like me when you were my age.
Natalie: Well, I was. Well, I mean, except for when Roxy was around, I couldn't mouth off as much as you do. Look, Starr, you really hurt your brother's feelings.
Starr: If you were so much like me, then you would know that sometimes you have to be tough.
Natalie: Sometimes. But right now, Jack needs you to be strong, not tough, and there's a difference.
Starr: Yeah, well, it's not so easy to be strong, okay?
Natalie: I know. Trust me, I know.
Starr: I just hate it when he keeps saying things like he's not sure whether my mom and dad are coming back.
Natalie: Because it might be true?
Ms. Pace: Listen, I know we were dealt some serious blows, but we haven't lost this one yet.
Adam: I would have liked it if you'd been a little more aggressive when Kelly Cramer took the stand.
J.R.: She lied. She and Babe cooked up the whole phony story. Neither one of them deserve to have a baby.
Adam: Well, the cavalry has arrived, finally. You're just in time, Counselor.
Daniel: For what?
Adam: To arrest Kelly Cramer. She helped her brother, Paul, kidnap my grandson.
Daniel: Okay, I can do that, but you have to do something for me first.
Adam: What might that be?
Daniel: Go to hell.
Dorian: David, thank goodness. I've got bad news.
David: You all right?
Dorian: I'm going to be fine, but Toddís probably dead.
David: Uh-huh? What's the bad news?
Dorian: Think about it, David. Todd probably knew where Blair is. If he did, he's taken that information to the grave with him.
Blair: No, Mama, he -- Todd can't be gone, not after everything that we've been through. He's the one that kept me going. He's -- oh, if -- if he is not here --
Addie: Shh. Don't say it, Blair.
Blair: No, he can't, Mama, he can't! I'm stuck in this trunk! I can't get out! I can't breathe! Margaret's the only person that knows that I'm in here and she's gone, and -- oh, Mama. It's over, isn't it?
Addie: It doesn't have to be, Blair.
Blair: What am I going to do? I can't do anything.
Addie: Let me show you something.
Blair: Hey! Hey, Jack! Starr, it's me!
Addie: They can't hear you, Blair.
Jessica: Hey, Jack. You okay?
Viki: Starr, are you all right, Honey?
Starr: No! She promised she'd come back! She promised.
Viki: I know. I know.
David: Where's Addie?
Dorian: She couldn't come. She's too upset.
Addie: That's right. I would be.
Blair: Then it's true. Todd must be gone.
Addie: But that's not why everybody's here, Blair.
Blair: Why, mama?
Addie: Look for yourself.
Starr: That's not how you spell "love," dum-- unless you want to. Mom and Dad are going to "l-u-v" it.
Jack: When are they coming back?
Natalie: Well, when Uncle Bo and my mom and your Aunt Dorian find them.
Antonio: Natalie, where's Jess?
Natalie: I still don't know.
Antonio: Her car's in the garage.
Natalie: Oh, it is? I must've not heard her come in. You can check upstairs.
Bartender: This is from the gentleman over there.
Jessica: Antonio, what are you doing here?
Antonio: I'm looking for you. You all right? Where have you been?
David: Todd dead? No way. He wouldn't give any of us the satisfaction.
Dorian: David, come on, I was there. There's no way Todd could've survived an explosion like that.
David: Well, I don't know. Todd's always looked to me as sort of a mentor. You know, he's become quite a survivor type by watching me.
Dorian: And what a spectacular can-do survivor you are. David, I need you to do me a favor.
David: You know, flattery will get you my undivided attention. What do you need?
Dorian: I need you -- to just stay on the phone with me.
Babe: Can you wait here just a minute for me? There's something I need to go do.
Babe: Okay. Thanks.
Krystal: Is everything okay?
Babe: It will be.
David: We're here if you need us.
Adam: I don't think you fully realize who you're talking to.
Daniel: Oh, yes, I do.
Adam: Well, then I suggest you realign your thinking.
Daniel: Okay, then let me put it to you this way. I'm not going to be your yes man.
Adam: Well, then you can kiss your political future goodbye. You do what I say, or I withdraw all of my financial support.
Daniel: You go right ahead and do that, but I'm not going to pull any more strings for you. It's the judge's decision whether or not your kid gets to keep his son. And even the great Adam Chandler can't do anything about that.
Kelly: We are doing the right thing.
Kevin: It sure doesn't feel right.
Babe: I'd like to do something about that, if you'll let me.
Kevin: What could you possibly do?
Babe: For starters, I can give you what you want. I'm talking about Ace.
Jessica: I can't believe they're both gone.
Blair: Mama, please -- please tell me that Jessica is not talking about Todd, too.
Addie: I wish I could.
Blair: No. No.
Kevin: Can't say I'm sorry to see him go, but what about those kids? What's going to happen to Jack and Starr?
Jessica: I think they're going to go live with Dorian.
Starr: No! I don't want to live with anybody else but my mom and dad!
Dorian: It's going to be all right, Sweetheart.
Starr: It's not.
Dorian: David and I and Kelly -- we'll take care of you.
Starr: No, it's not going to be all right! Nothing will be all right without my mom and dad!
Viki: I'll go.
Dorian: Jack, come with me.
David: Come on, Jack.
Blair: No. This -- this can't be happening!
Addie: It isn't happening yet, Blair. But it's going to.
Blair: No. No, I don't want to see! I don't want to see!
Addie: I know, but you have to see. There's so much more to see.
Dorian: I don't know how on earth we're going to find Blair.
David: Do Starr and Jack know about any of this?
Dorian: They're still at Llanfair with Natalie. Viki and I agree on one thing, at least, and that is the children shouldn't be told anything until we're quite certain --
Viki: Did -- did you find anything?
Bo: All I found was this.
Viki: Oh, my God. It says, "Our love, never-ending." This is Toddís wedding ring.
Bo: I'm sorry, Viki.
Dorian: David, it isn't -- it isn't good, okay? Please, as soon as you can, when you're finished at court, meet me at Llanfair, okay, because we're going to need all the help we can get to do what has to be done.
Dorian: Viki, I'm very sorry.
Viki: You know what, Dorian? Save it, because I know what your "sorry" means. And I will not let you dance on Toddís grave!
Addie's voice: Blair? Blair, open your eyes.
Blair: No, Mama, I don't want to.
Addie: Don't you want to see how it all comes out?
Blair: Who's that girl?
Girl: I miss you and Dad so much.
Blair: That's Starr?
Addie: She just turned 18.
Starr: I thought I had found someone to take care of me. He was like you, Dad, at first. But then --
Blair: Oh -- what happened to her?
Addie: He wasn't such a nice boy. We all tried to tell her, but she got mad at everybody and ran away with him.
Blair: Mama, what's going to happen to her?
Starr: I've never felt so alone, and the two people I need most are gone!
Blair: No, baby, no. No, you're great, you're strong! You're the O Great One! That's what your daddy always called you. Starr! It's not just the end of our lives. It's the end of Starrís, too.
Jessica: I'm all right, Antonio.
Antonio: What happened to you last night?
Jessica: Uh, I guess I must've fallen asleep.
Antonio: Hmm. Your car wasn't here last night. Natalie is downstairs with Jack and Starr. She didn't even know you were here.
Jessica: Well, I don't know why. I -- I must've gone out last night and just come home and dozed off, I --
Antonio: Right. You're just now getting up?
Jessica: I don't feel good, okay?
Antonio: Well, you're a little warm. Doesn't feel like a fever, but it looks like you've been sweating.
Jessica: I feel hung-over. But I don't know how that's possible. I wasn't drinking last night. I must be coming down with a cold or something.
Antonio: Yeah. Well, let me see if I can find something to help make you feel better, okay?
Kevin: Wait a minute; you haven't even gotten custody yet.
Babe: But if I do get custody, I want you and Kelly to be a part of his life.
Babe: Yeah. You took the rap for me, you risked prison, and, Kevin, I can see how much you love my little boy and how much he loves you. Both of you.
Kelly: We're all victims of Paul, James more than anyone else.
Babe: But I do want my little boy to know the people who helped raise him, so I want both of you to be a big part of his life.
J.R.: No way in hell.
Evangeline: You almost done? Should I stick around more?
John: I have done one minute. I have 29 more minutes to do. You want to meet me later?
Evangeline: I can't, actually. I'm meeting a client for dinner.
John: One of your clients? Want to borrow a gun?
Evangeline: He's innocent. It's just white-collar stuff.
John: A likely story.
Evangeline: Now, where are those papers I had?
John: What papers?
Evangeline: Papers I had overnighted to your place. I think I left them at your place!
John: Oh, well --
Evangeline: I did! I left them at your place.
John: Don't worry, just go by and get it. Here you go. It's yours.
Evangeline: What, you're giving me a key to your place?
John: How else you going to come and go?
Blair: What's going to happen to Starr? What is she going to have to face? And Jack? Mama, what about Jack?
Boy: What's up?
Second boy: Nothing.
Blair: Hey, don't do that!
Dorian: Jack Manning? Is that you?
Addie: Dori got a lot older after she lost you.
Dorian: I have been driving around for hours looking for you. What do you think you're doing?
Jack: I don't have to tell you nothing.
Dorian: You do as long as you are living under my roof. Now, you come with me. I am taking you home.
Jack: You're not my mom! She and my dad are dead, so back off, you old bitch!
Blair: No. Mama, this can't be happening. No, I -- I can't die. My children need me, Mama. I can't die!
Natalie: All right, Jackety-Jack, do you have the crab?
Jack: Go fish.
Natalie: Oh, man.
Jack: Aunt Viki, Dorian, where's Mom and Dad?
Natalie: Starr, honey, why don't you take Jack upstairs and get him washed up for dinner?
Starr: I want to know what's going on. I need to, Natalie.
Natalie: Okay. Jack, why don't you come with me?
Jack: Are Mommy and Daddy going to be home for dinner?
Natalie: We'll see.
Viki: Hey, you. See you later.
Starr: Where are they?
Dorian: Starr --
Starr: You found them, didn't you?
Viki: Starr, honey, we found the cabin where -- where your dad was, yes.
Starr: Did you drop him back off at home?
Viki: Honey, when we got there, there -- there was a big explosion.
Starr: Is he hurt? Is he at the hospital? He's okay, isn't he?
Dorian: I'm afraid we didn't get there in time. The entire cabin went up in flames.
Starr: Are you saying that my dad is dead?
J.R.: No Buchanans will be coming near my son.
Kevin: Well, it's not your call.
J.R.: Really? Well, we're just going to have to see about that.
Kevin: Unless, of course, you pay off the judge.
J.R.: No, that's your M.O. and no way am I lying down for some dirty politician and his lying ex-wife.
Kevin: All right, you know what? Watch your mouth, pal.
Kelly: Okay, okay, Kevin, it's -- it's all right.
Babe: I am so sorry. I don't even know what I was thinking when I married a jerk like that.
Kelly: You loved him once.
Krystal: Babe, it's time.
David: The judge is coming back.
Babe: Okay. This is where I find out if I can keep my son.
Kelly: Good luck.
Evangeline: What's going on with you?
John: I'm fine. Well, that chicken salad I had for lunch is killing me, but --
Evangeline: I'm talking about the key. What's --
John: No big deal. Just give it back to me when I catch up with you.
Evangeline: Oh. You mean you're not --
Evangeline: Nothing, nothing. I will return your key to you when I catch up to you.
Antonio: This ought to make you feel better. What's wrong?
Judge: As everyone here knows, this has been a highly unusual custody hearing. Despite Mr. Buchanan's withdrawal from the proceedings, all three sides have made strong arguments as to why they believe the child should be placed with them. Suffice it to say, I have never found myself in a more difficult position to make a judgment. But after careful consideration, I've come to a decision as to whom I feel is best to raise the child.
Blair: Mama, how can I stop it? How can I stop myself from dying?
Addie: Remember when I was almost killed by that bad man?
Blair: Mitch Laurence?
Addie: You know why I didn't die? Because of you. Because I didn't want you to be sad, the way Starr and Jack are going to be.
Blair: Oh, Mama, I don't want that either. But what am I going to do? If Todd is gone, who's going to find me, Mama?
Addie: Don't give up, Blair.
Addie: Never give up.
Blair: No, don't -- don't leave! Mama, Mama, don't leave me, please!
Addie: You're on your own now, Blair. It's up to you.
Blair: Mama, wait! Mama! Mama.
Blair's voice: No, I'm not dying. Not today or any day soon. Nothing's going to keep me from my kids.
Starr: My dad is not dead, okay? He's not. He escaped from that cabin.
Dorian: Starr --
Starr: No, he did! He's alive! I know he is!
Viki: Honey -- hey, that is what I'm praying for, okay? We all are.
>> On the next "One Life to Live" --
Antonio: The stalker was in your room.
Kelly: Kevin could have fought them. I made him back off. Now he'll never forgive me for it.
J.R.: Hand over my son. I'm taking him home.
Todd: Hello? Is anybody there? Margaret?
