[Glass breaks]

Cristian: Damn. Ow!

Natalie: Cristian?

Cristian: Nat, Iím sorry. I'm sorry. I didn't mean to scare you.

Kevin: You still haven't found Kelly? I thought you were a professional. She is one woman in one car going one direction. How can you not find her?

Kelly: I can't believe you came all the way here yourself.

Duke: Well, you said you needed someone you could trust, and i figured you weren't getting anywhere finding Ace on the ground, so you might have some better luck through the air.

Kelly: So you decided to bring Asaís plane to Florida? Wow. My god, Duke, thank you so much. I owe you so big for this.

Duke: Oh, don't mention it, but we better get going.

Kelly: Ok. Where's the pilot?

Duke: You're looking at him.

Kelly: You're going to fly the plane?

Duke: Yes, ma'am. Where do you want to start looking?

Kelly: Ok. Actually, I have a pretty good idea where Ace is.

Duke: Kelly, do you think it's about time we contact the police?

Evangeline: I cannot believe Todd. I mean, here is a guy who is totally committed to Blair. I mean, even after she had him thrown in jail, he would not stop loving her, and he pulls a no-show at his own wedding. What is that?

John: Don't know. Who knows with that guy? Maybe he just had second thoughts.

Evangeline: Yeah, well, people shouldn't ruin a good thing by getting married.

Starr: We should be out looking for dad.

Dorian: It's your mother you should be worried about right now.

Starr: Something had to happen.

Dorian: Right -- your father got cold feet.

Starr: I don't believe that, ok? He loves my mom. He just wouldn't do something like this.

Dorian: Please. He apparently just has.

Starr: Do you hate my dad that much that you wouldn't think that something was wrong?

Dorian: Please, stop it.

Starr: Something bad has happened.

Dorian: All right, that's enough of that. We don't want to upset your mother any more than she already is. Darling, how about I order some food for you, hmm?

Blair: I am not hungry, Dorian.

Dorian: Excuse me, have you eaten all day, hmm?

Blair: I don't care.

Dorian: You need to eat. You have to take care of yourself. It's important to you, to the children. They need you now, honey, especially now that their father has just disappeared. It's insane. It really is.

Blair: Dorian --

[knock on door]

Dorian: Get that, honey.

Viki: Oh, hi, sweetheart.

Starr: Aunt Viki.

Blair: Viki, please tell me that you've heard from Todd.

Viki: I'm sorry, no.

Dorian: Viki, there's absolutely no reason for you to be here.

Starr: Aunt Viki, please tell Dorian that she is wrong about my dad and that he just wouldn't leave like that.

Viki: Well, I don't want to believe that he did, honey, no.

Dorian: No, of course not. Well, you just believe whatever you want to believe, but keep it to yourself. Blair doesn't need to hear it, Starr doesn't -- nobody here, in fact, needs anything from you, so I suggest you leave right now.

Margaret: I'm sorry I shot you, Todd. But don't worry, Iím going to get those nasty bullets out.

Todd: Peggy? Peggy?

Margaret: Huh?

Todd: Put that knife down.

Margaret: I don't want you to get an infection. You need your strength.

Todd: Then take me to somebody who knows what they're doing.

Margaret: Don't worry. I'm going to take good care of you. Now, you're going to have to hold still so I don't miss.

Natalie: Are you ok?

Cristian: Yeah, yeah, it's just a nick. Nothing to worry about.

Natalie: I'm not talking about your hand.

Cristian: I thought you were upstairs asleep. I didn't know you followed me down here. I get a little jumpy sometimes. Just forget about it, ok?

Natalie: Cris, we need to talk about this.

Cristian: Natalie, Iím just getting used to being back, not locked up in that ship or hiding from Tico.

Natalie: Ok, and I understand that, but, I mean, everything that's been going on -- it just doesn't make any sense.

Cristian: It's just been a few days.

Natalie: Right, and you don't even want to tell your own mother that you're still alive.

Cristian: I told you, I want to tell her in person.

Natalie: Ok, let's fly there. We'll go see her.

Cristian: No! No. Not until I'm healed.

Natalie: Cristian, what is going on with you? And don't tell me nothing. The longer you hold it in, the worse it's going to be for the both of us.

Kelly: No, no, Duke, no police. Please don't start asking questions.

Duke: Kelly, I borrowed my great-grandpa's jet and flew it to Florida for you.

Kelly: Well, I didn't ask you to do that.

Duke: No, but you asked for my help. I mean, if you want it, you have got to be straight with me.

Kelly: Ok. The woman who took Ace -- her name is Babe Chandler, and she's going by the name of Kate Anderson.

Duke: Why haven't you told the feds?

Kelly: It's complicated.

Duke: Hey, Iím listening.

Kelly: No, I can't do anything or say anything until I talk to this woman.

Duke: But why? She kidnapped your son. It could be dangerous, Kelly.

Kelly: She's not dangerous.

Duke: How do you know?

Kelly: I can't tell you.

Duke: Kelly, what have you gotten yourself into?

Kelly: Duke, just let me say that if we go to the police and they find out about this, I will never see Ace again, ok? Just believe that and accept it. Can you do that?

Duke: All right, for now. We'll find Babe Chandler or Kate Anderson or whoever the heck she is, but then i am due some answers.

Kelly: Fine. Fair enough.

Viki: Do you seriously believe that you are helping matters right now?

Dorian: You are not wanted here.

Starr: I want her here, ok? Now leave aunt Viki alone!

Dorian: I am your aunt, too.

Starr: My great-aunt. If aunt Viki leaves, I leave with her.

Dorian: Oh, you would do that to your mother?

Blair: Just stop it! Stop it, please, all of you. I really can't stand any fighting right now.

Dorian: Well, everything's going to be fine as soon as Viki leaves.

Blair: Viki is not leaving, Dorian.

Dorian: But she --

Blair: She is family. She's Toddís family, and she's here because she cares.

Viki: I really wish I could give you some answers, Blair.

Blair: Viki, what did Todd say?

Viki: Well, nothing. He was excited about the wedding when i spoke to him.

Blair: But did he seem nervous?

Viki: Only about letting you down, you know?

Blair: Yeah, he said about the same thing to me. He was really worried that he was going to screw things up again.

Dorian: Oh, fathom that.

Blair: What else did he say?

Viki: Nothing much, really. I said to him, you know, he has to believe in himself and in the love that you two have for each other.

Blair: Yeah. Well, when was that?

Viki: I mean, half an hour ago. I truly cannot understand what could've happened to him after i left the room.

Blair: Oh, me, either.

Dorian: Oh, I can tell you what happened. Todd went back to being his selfish, narcissistic self, thinking only of his needs and no one else's, as usual. He has stabbed Blair in the heart, and I am not going to let you twist the knife in deeper.

Margaret: I'll have those bullets out in no time. Take some deep breaths.

Todd: You're going to kill me, Margaret.

Margaret: No, I'm trying not to. You're going to feel so much better.

Todd: No, no, sweetheart. You're going to hurt me.

Margaret: Well, if you have to scream, I won't think any less of you as a man. It's going to be better for you. Here, bite on this.

Todd: Please, no.

Margaret: Bite on this.

Cristian: Natalie, Iím not keeping anything from you.

Natalie: It's just these -- these headaches that you keep getting and -- I don't know, Cristian, you're not acting yourself.

Cristian: It's been a little crazy since I got back, in case you haven't noticed.

Natalie: Ok, so you have a lot to deal with, but, I don't know, why do I feel like that there's something that you're hiding from me?

Cristian: Ok, can't it just be enough that we're together?

Natalie: Before all this happened, you know, we were connected. I -- I always knew what was going on inside of you, and now I don't, Cristian.

Cristian: We'll get that back. And then we can leave all this other stuff behind us and make new memories.

Natalie: I don't want to forget our past. I don't want to forget that we had our first kiss, the first time that we made love, the first time that I realized that I wanted to spend the rest of my life with you.

Cristian: We'll have more first times. Like the first time we'll go sledding when it starts to snow, or the first ornament we hang on our first Christmas tree as husband and wife. Natalie, I want to remember all that, all the things Tico and McBain almost took away from us.

Evangeline: You seem surprised.

John: I am, I guess. I thought maybe you liked strings.

Evangeline: Well, strings and rings are totally different.

John: It's still a commitment.

Evangeline: Commitment is wonderful. It's the paper that can get you in trouble.

John: Ah. And here I thought it was the argument with caterers about bad chicken or bad fish.

Evangeline: No. No, it's the pre-nups and asset splits and children whose lives are torn apart. I mean, my god, John, I just lost Kellyís custody battle. Have you ever been in divorce court?

John: No. But it makes sense, if you assume that marriage automatically ends in divorce.

Evangeline: Well, more than half of them do. I mean, it's scary. I guess if you never get married, you never get divorced, so you save the heartache.

John: Hmm. The things you learn about some people.

Evangeline: My fear of marriage -- is that going to be an issue for us?

Kevin: Yeah, it's me again. Listen, I have some ideas of how you can find Kelly. I can't speak up. I don't want people to know who I'm talking to. Just -- important phone call?

Duke: Uh -- no. It's just an old friend from Texas who needed a favor.

Kevin: Hey, never mind. I'll call you later. I mean, would Kelly ask Duke to help her? No, she wouldn't do that, would she?

Dorian: I'm only trying to help.

Blair: Well, you're not.

Viki: Blair, it's ok. I have to go anyway.

Blair: Viki --

Viki: Look, if there's anything at all that I can do for you, please --

Blair: I know, and just call me if you hear from Todd, would you?

Viki: Of course I will.

Blair: All right. Thank you for everything.

Viki: Oh, baby.

Blair: I'll be all right.

Starr: Aunt Viki?

Viki: What, sweetheart?

Starr: I knew that my dad would never do that. That's why Iím so worried about him. We should really tell the police.

Viki: I've already done that, sweetheart. The police know, ok? I don't want you to lose faith in your dad. Do you understand me? He loves you very, very much.

Starr: I know. I'm just really scared.

Viki: I know you are. I am, too. You know what? We have to try to be a little strong for your mom, ok, and for your brother.

Starr: And for dad, too.

Viki: Yeah, and for your dad. I love you, darling.

Starr: I love you, too.

Dorian: And you can say whatever you want, but Viki's place was not here.

Starr: Don't blame her, and would you stop blaming my dad?

Dorian: No, let's blame the man in the moon.

Starr: Ok, tell me this -- why would he get you out of jail and then bail his own wedding?

Blair: That's right, Dorian. Todd didn't want you at the wedding. I told you that, and we had a big fight about it. Now, why in the world would he get you out of jail and then run out on his own wedding, huh?

David: He didnít. Blair, Todd had nothing to do with Dorian, nor myself being sprung.

Margaret: It's all done. Now, that didn't hurt half as much as you thought it was going to, did it? Todd?

Margaret: That's right. You sleep now, my love. You are such -- such a brave soldier.

Margaret: I couldn't have done it if you hadn't been so strong. We -- we're a team, you and I. Partners, linked to be together forever.

Margaret: I'd better clean up. I want to look my best for Todd when he wakes up.

Kelly: Where'd you learn to fly this thing, anyway?

Duke: Crop-dusting back at the ranch.

Kelly: So how did you get from flying a crop-duster to flying this jet?

Duke: Well, I started with crop-dusting, then sort of went from there. Grandpa put me in all those flight schools and I got my license. Besides, you know, it's pretty much the same thing, just a little bigger.

Kelly: It seems to me that there would be a big difference between --

Duke: Hey, hey, I got her in here ok, didn't I?

Kelly: Yeah.

Duke: Anyway, she's all gassed up, ready to go. We're just waiting on word from our friend.

Kelly: Yeah, I think that's a bad idea. I think we should call him and tell him to forget it.

Duke: No, hey, Kelly, listen, it's ok.

Kelly: He's probably called the feds by now.

Duke: Kelly, he doesn't even know your name. He thinks it's just a custody thing. I got your back, Kelly, come on.

Kelly: Well, then why hasn't he called? Every minute that goes by, Ace is further and further away.

Duke: Well, you know, if this doesn't pan out, then we'll move to plan B.

Kelly: Whatever that is.

Duke: If we have to come up with one, we will. I mean, hell, we'll go right down the alphabet until we find a plan that works.

Kelly: Why are you doing this?

Duke: Besides the fact that you're my friend and ace is my little brother?

Kelly: It's because of your father, isn't it?

Kevin: Ahem. Hey. How's Blair holding up?

Adriana: How do you think?

Kevin: Well, you know, I tried to warn her about Todd. I was hoping i was wrong this time.

Adriana: Really? I mean, from what I hear, you guys aren't really friends, you and Blair.

Kevin: That doesn't mean I don't care.

Adriana: Why should you? You don't even care about your own son. Excuse me.

Evangeline: I'm sorry. I didn't know I was bringing up such a loaded subject.

John: I think I get it, why you have this aversion to marriage.

Evangeline: You do?

John: Mm-hmm. Because of the strong commitment to your work. You're either afraid of failure or, I don't know, maybe you just think it's too inconvenient.

Evangeline: "Inconvenient"? Take that back.

John: What'd I say?

Evangeline: If you have to ask, we have nothing to talk about.

Natalie: How's your hand?

Cristian: It's fine.

Natalie: You know, maybe you should go see a doctor.

Cristian: No more doctors.

Natalie: Ok, at least let me look at it. Come here.

Cristian: Maybe you should kiss it.

Natalie: Is that better?

Cristian: Mm-hmm. I think I hurt myself up here, too. Let's go upstairs.

Natalie: I thought you wanted a snack.

Cristian: I do.

Natalie: I meant food, as in the sandwich that's about to burn.

[Phone rings]

Cristian: Why don't you get that. I'll take care of the sandwich.

Natalie: Ok.

Natalie: Hello? Hey, Roxy! How's your cruise? Oh, Nigel won a limbo contest? No way. Uh-huh. Yeah, Jessicaís doing a lot better. Oh, yeah, she'd love flowers. Hang on one second. Let me go get the address. Honey, Iíll be right back. It's Roxy. She's out to sea, literally.

David: I stopped by the police station to pick up my things. You can't just trust anyone with 24 karats, you know.

Dorian: Darling, what did they say about Todd?

David: Well, Nora said they didn't have enough to put a case against us. Todd had nothing to do with it.

Blair: Yeah, but mama said that Todd --

David: Mama said what, that Todd said that he was the big hero? Blair, you know how much I love Addie, but she still sends her Christmas list to the North Pole.

Starr: I don't believe that, ok? My dad did, too, help you guys.

Dorian: No, he didnít. You'd better face it. And you also better face the fact that your father has run out on his family yet again.

Starr: That is not true, ok? Tell them, mom.

Blair: All I know is what I heard Todd say to Viki, and this note that he wrote me.

David: Let me see that. That's his handwriting, all right.

Dorian: How would you know that?

David: I've been forging his signature since 1994.

Blair: Starr, sweetie, it looks like dad just got scared.

Starr: You really think dad left us for good?

Todd: Ow!

Margaret: This is what I get? After everything Iíve done for you? No, this won't do. This won't do at all!

Viki: Are you all right?

Cristian: Yeah, yeah, I just burned my hand.

Viki: You seem to have cut it, too.

Cristian: That happened earlier. Not my night, I guess. I'm going to go run some cold water on it.

Viki: Cristian? There's a sink right here.

Cristian: That's -- that's ok. I'll use the one upstairs.

Natalie: Hey. Where you going?

Cristian: Nothing for you to worry about.

Natalie: What happened?

Viki: I'm not entirely sure. I came in, and he went to pick up the griddle, and it was hot and he burned himself. But then he deliberately picked it up and threw it on the ground. Is something wrong?

John: Ok, what did you think I was talking about?

Evangeline: I just confessed my fear of divorce to you and you made me sound like someone who just can't be bothered with marriage because it doesn't fit into my work schedule.

John: I think you're reading into it a little too much.

Evangeline: So then you'd like to be?

John: Married? I don't know. There was a time. My parents made it look good.

Evangeline: And you would be now if --

John: Yeah, if. But things change. I've changed.

Kevin: Look, Adriana, I don't know what duke's been telling you --

Adriana: He doesn't have to say anything, ok? I can see for myself how you treat him.

Kevin: You really like him.

Adriana: Even if I didn't, I'd still hang around just because I know you hate it so much.

Kevin: Well, you've definitely got spunk, that's for sure. Where is he, anyway? I haven't seen him around.

Adriana: I don't know.

Kevin: Really?

Adriana: We're not joined at the hip.

Kevin: You know what I think? I think that phone call he got at the wedding from his buddy in Texas -- I think that was Kelly. How about you?

Adriana: I really couldn't tell you.

Kevin: Well, couldn't or wouldn't? Wow. I guess you like him as more than a friend if you're going to go to the mat for him like that. You know what, maybe I was wrong about you. Maybe you're better for my son than I thought.

Adriana: What are you doing?

Kevin: I'm sorry?

Adriana: What is this? What are you doing?

Kevin: Well, you obviously care about Duke. I'm worried about Duke. I mean, if he gets involved with Kelly, he's going to get hurt.

Adriana: Even if I knew where he was, why would I tell you?

Kevin: Well, I think you'd rather have me as a friend than an enemy.

Adriana: Why, so maybe you'd put in a good word to Duke for me?

Kevin: Well, it couldn't hurt.

Adriana: So let me understand you. If I tell you what you want, you'll pimp your son out to me?

Duke: Every kid wants his dad to think he's something special, right?

Kelly: Well, Kevinís just playing some big power game with me right now.

Duke: See, that's what i don't understand. I don't get it. I mean, why isn't he working with you instead of working against you?

Kelly: I don't know. I stopped trying to figure him out. I am so glad you're here. You shouldn't ever let anyone make you feel like you're not special.

[Phone rings]

Duke: Hello? Hey, Tommy. What you got for me? Ok. Yes. Ok. Ok, hey, we're even, man.

Kelly: What? What?

Duke: I know where Ace is.

Kelly: Tell me, tell me, tell me where my son is.

Duke: My buddy did a little research on Babe Chandler and the Kate Anderson name she's using, too, and they came up with some plates at a gas station outside Tallahassee.

Kelly: Oh! They're still in Florida!

Duke: Yeah, yeah, and we're not that far. So strap yourself in, sit down. We got an E.T.A. Of about 20 minutes.

Kelly: Ok. Ok.

Kevin: All right, look, I don't think you understand what I mean.

Adriana: No, I understand, ok? You think if you kiss up to me that Iíll tell you what you want.

Kevin: I could make things very difficult for you, you know. I could turn my son against you.

Adriana: What kind of pull do you think you have when your own son goes behind your back to help your ex-wife?

Kevin: So duke is with Kelly.

Adriana: Even if he is, I'm not going to help you find him.

Kevin: You know, you're more and more like your mom every day.

Adriana: Thank you. I consider that a compliment.

Kevin: Bye.

John: After Caitlin, I think I knew how my mom felt with my dad. You plan a whole life with somebody, and then one bullet and it's over.

Evangeline: My god. I can't even imagine.

John: I remember the -- the day after the funeral, this package arrives. Wedding invitations - You like irony? I think I hate it.

Evangeline: I had no idea the wedding was that close. I'm so sorry.

John: That was then. This is now.

Evangeline: So where does that leave us?

John: Well, according to this little exchange, it looks like neither one of us are looking for a walk down the aisle.

Evangeline: Then we are lucky that we found each other, because that wouldn't be enough for some people.

John: Is it enough for you?

Evangeline: Me? Don't worry about me. What about you, john? Is that enough for you?

Natalie: I don't know, Cristianís just -- he says he's uptight because of everything that's been going on, but I don't know, mom.

Viki: Well, darling, I mean, that would make perfect sense, wouldn't it? He's been through a terrible, terrible ordeal, and that can change a person.

Natalie: Do you think that Cristianís changed?

Viki: I don't really know, you know. But, honey, even if he has, his love for you has not changed. That's what kept him alive. It's what brought him back to you. So don't ever forget that, even if you have, you know, bumps along the way, especially if you have bumps along the way. It's not everyone who has the opportunity for a second chance.

Natalie: Hey.

Cristian: Hey.

Natalie: Hey, you ok?

Cristian: Yeah, yeah, it's not a big deal, minor.

Viki: Well, I'm going to go and make some calls.

Natalie: About Todd?

Viki: Yeah. Good night.

Cristian: Good night.

Natalie: Good night, mom.

Cristian: Sorry about the sandwich. I -- i don't know what happened.

Natalie: Hey. I don't care about that. I love you.

Cristian: I love you, too.

Natalie: And I can't wait to have our first times together, just like we talked about.

Dorian: Girls, why don't you gather your things together? You're going to come home with us.

Blair: No, Dorian. I made a reservation for this room tonight, and I'm going to stay here.

Dorian: No, you can't stay here all alone.

Starr: What am I, invisible?

Blair: Just go.

Dorian: No, David will go, and I'll phone downstairs, have them bring a rollaway bed.

Starr: Oh, no way are you staying here all night and criticizing my dad.

Blair: Look, we appreciate what you're trying to do, but you and David just got out of jail. Just go and be with David.

David: I'll get the car from the valet.

Dorian: All right. Sweetheart, if you change your mind, remember, you always have a home at la Boulaie.

Starr: Don't worry about it, mom, ok? Dad will come back. He loves you and he loves us. I don't know what happened, but I know that he didn't leave us -- not if he could help it.

Margaret: I really didn't want to have to do this, but you left me no choice. Can't have you running back to Blair. You can't exactly run anyway, can you?

Todd: I've gotten out of worse than this.

Margaret: Oh, yes. You've beaten death twice. That just goes to show you you were meant to be with me. This calls for a celebration. To our honeymoon.

Margaret: Now, you shouldn't have done that!

Todd: Ah!

Margaret: You aren't going to ruin our wedding night, are you? Hmm?

[Todd whimpers]

Evangeline: Oh, my gosh. Is that beautiful or what?

John: Yeah. It is.

John: You ready?

Evangeline: Yeah.

Singer: The Sunday after there was laughter in the air everybody had a kite they were flying everywhere and all the trouble went away and it wasn't just a dream all the trouble went away and it wasn't just a dream in the middle of the night we try and try with all our might to light a little light down here in the middle of the night we dream of a million kites flying high above the sadness and the fear little sister just remember as you wander through the blue the little kite that you sent flying on a Sunday afternoon made of something light as nothing made of joy that matters, too how the little dreams we dream are all we can really do in the middle of the night the world turns with all its might a little diamond colored blue in the middle of the night we keep sending little kites

Todd: Don't give up on me, Blair.

Singer: Until a little light get through

Todd: Don't give up on me.

>> On the next "One Life To Live" --

Duke: You said before that if we went to the police, you'd never see ace again. Why?

Cristian: Nothing is wrong with me, ok? It's just a couple of headaches.

John: I just want you to know if you need a friend, you got one.

Daniel: You're holding onto the hope somewhere deep down inside that you and Bo will get back together again.
