Todd: Hey. Are they asleep? Blair? Hello? Something wrong?

Blair: You tell me!

Todd: I can't -- I can't talk to you if you're under the covers.

Blair: You burned the invitations, Todd.

Todd: Yeah. So?

Blair: If you're trying to weasel out of the wedding, why don't you just say so?

Riley: Thank you, thank you. Ok, we're going to chill for a minute, but stick around. Keep the bartenders busy. Thanks.

Lindsay: Hey. Have you seen Jen?

Riley: No.

Lindsay: Didn't she know you were playing here tonight?

Riley: She knew. She just didn't show.

Lindsay: You two ok?

Riley: We were great. We were perfect, you know? I even found a place for us. And then she starts talking about how she's not good enough again, and, you know, at this point, what I take that as is kiss-off.

Bo: Either one of you two could've pulled the trigger. You had motive, opportunity, both hated Paul Cramerís guts. So why does it feel so wrong? And if you didn't do it, which one of you did? I'm talking to myself.

[Knock on door]

Bo: Hold on one second. One second, please. Yeah, come on in. Hey.

Evangeline: Commissioner.

Bo: Hi.

Evangeline: You wanted to see me?

Bo: Yes, please, come on in.

Evangeline: It sounded important.

Bo: It is. I wanted to see if you would help me catch a murderer.

Natalie: Cristian, you cannot leave. The doctor said you're not well enough.

Cristian: I don't care what the doctor said, Natalie. I'm leaving, ok?

Natalie: Cris, you have a concussion and cracked ribs!

Cristian: Look, the best way for me to get better is to be home.

Natalie: Ok, can you just wait till morning?

Cristian: No, I can't! I'm leaving now.

Antonio: So that's your angle now, huh? I shot him once, and then I came back to finish him off?

John: Oh well, that's one theory. You got a better one?

Antonio: He got what he deserved, John. You know that. A lot of people wanted him dead.

John: Jessica included?

Antonio: No way.

John: How about you?

Antonio: What do you want me to say?

John: I don't expect you to say anything, but Iím telling you, as a friend, we will find out who did this.

Antonio: Then Iím telling you, as a friend, leave me the hell alone.

Jessica: I -- I saw it. I saw who killed Tico.

Natalie: Cris, I don't understand you. You seemed fine earlier.

Cristian: I just need to get out.

Natalie: Ok, and I want that more than anything. But I want to make sure you're ok.

Cristian: I am fine!

Natalie: Ok. I just want to make sure you're all right. If anything happened to you again, I --

Cristian: I know. Look, forgive me. It's just that I can't stand it in here being cooped up like this.

Natalie: Being on the ship?

Cristian: Look, Natalie, the best medicine for me is to be with you, to start our life again, the life Tico took from us.

Natalie: I still can't believe he's gone. Someone pulled the plug on him.

Cristian: What goes around -- I'm going to go check out.

John: Relax. Why don't we talk this through, see if we can't clear a few things up. You find Jessica out here in the hallway --

Antonio: Are you telling me you honestly believe Jessica killed Tico?

John: Maybe she saw who did it.

Antonio: She didn't see anything, she didn't do anything, and neither did I. This interrogation is over.

John: Yeah? Well, why don't we take it down to the station and we can talk about this in front of the commissioner? Because unless you can account for your time tonight --

Antonio: I was at the hospital chapel.

John: Alone?

Antonio: With Adriana. The priest came in later.

John: What time?

Antonio: I'm not sure.

John: Take a guess. 8:00 to 9:00? 9:00 to 10:00? What?

Antonio: I don't know, and I doubt Adriana or the priest do, either.

John: All right, Iíll talk to them. Maybe one of them happened to glance at their watch.

Antonio: So you can nail me, friend?

John: No one's trying to nail you. And if it isnít me asking these questions, it'll be someone else, probably someone less sympathetic. Hey, you know, it's just a job, and we don't get to choose. You should know that.

Antonio: You going to make it easier on me if I confess?

John: You're talking like a jerk, you know, and you look terrible. Why don't you go home and get some sleep, all right?

Antonio: I'm not leaving this hospital. Not until Jessica leaves with me.

John: That went well.

Jen: Hey. Look, I'm sorry that I ran out on you like that, but it's just you started talking about moving in --

Riley: It's not like we never talked about it before.

Jen: It's just you're a really great guy, and I'm --

Riley: Oh, will you stop with this "Iím not good enough," because I don't want to hear it! All right, if you want to dump me, then do it.

Jen: No, I don't want to. I just don't want to mess you up.

Riley: Do you know the one thing that would mess me up? Not being with you.

Evangeline: So this isn't about Tico Santiís murder?

Bo: No, no, this is about another case. It's Paul Cramerís murder. But first you got to level with me. Now, are you going to take Vickers' case?

Evangeline: No, I turned him down. He wasn't being frank with me, which isn't to say that I think he killed Paul.

Bo: No, I don't think he did, either. And, see, now, this is where you come in. Now, you're friends with that TV news producer, Denise Long, aren't you?

Evangeline: Oh, yeah. Yeah, we play tennis together. Why?

Bo: All right. Well, I can't go to my media contacts or I'm going to blow my cover.

Evangeline: So what's the plan?

Bo: The plan is that maybe we can just smoke out a killer.

[Margaret hums "bridal march"]

Margaret: I'm going to make such a beautiful bride.

[Margaret hums]

Margaret: So much more beautiful than Blair.

Todd: Why would I try to weasel out of the wedding?

Blair: I don't know, Todd. You burned the invitations. What am I supposed to think?

Todd: You're supposed to think that I love you. Yeah. I burned those invitations because this wedding is driving everyone bonkers, including the kids, including us. You're obsessed with everything. You're obsessed with the cake, you're obsessed with the dress, you're obsessed with the caterer.

Blair: I just want it to be perfect, that's all!

Todd: It's never going to be perfect, ever. Let's bag it.

Blair: You do want to call it off!

Todd: No, I don't! I want to move it up, as a matter of fact! Let's get married tomorrow!

Blair: You want to get married tomorrow? That's, like, in the day after right now!

Todd: That's very good.

Blair: What?

Todd: Yes. What do we have? We've got the -- we've got the license. We've got the blood tests. All we need is somebody to pronounce us man and wife, and then the kids don't have to stress out anymore. We don't have to stress out anymore. It's over and done with.

Blair: Oh. That's -- that's romantic.

Todd: Blair --

Blair: Is that all this wedding is to you, Todd, is just something to be over and done with, huh?

Todd: No. No. I'm thinking of the children.

Blair: You are not.

Todd: Ok, I -- I don't really get into it. I'm not all that big on cakes and dresses.

Blair: You know what it is? You're -- you're having second thoughts, is what it is.

Todd: No, I'm not.

Blair: No, it's not just second thoughts because you can't even talk about it.

Todd: Oh, god, I hate the way women argue. Jeez.

Blair: Ok, Todd, here's what I want to know. What is it that has got you so anxious that you can't even talk about it, huh? What is it that you just want to move the wedding up? Ok, fine. If you don't want to talk about it, I guess I don't want to get married.

Todd: Do you want to know the truth?

Blair: Yes.

Todd: I want to move the wedding up because Iím afraid Iím going to screw something up otherwise.

Natalie: Jess? You ok? What's the matter?

Jessica: I saw someone.

Natalie: Someone where? Here?

Jessica: In Ticoís room when he died -- I saw someone.

Natalie: Who?

Jessica: It's just that I don't know. It's -- it's a blur. Whenever I try to focus in on who it is, I can't make out their face.

Natalie: Ok, are you absolutely sure about this? You were on a lot of drugs.

Jessica: Natalie, Iím sure I saw something! I know I saw something! I don't know what it is, but I know who killed Tico! I know! In my head, I know!

Natalie: Ok, all right, all right. Try not to get upset.

Jessica: I don't know how I can't be upset.

Natalie: Listen to me. If you really saw someone, it's going to come back to you. Just let it go for right now.

Jessica: I canít. I can't.

Natalie: Try. Come on, Jess, between you and Cris right now, I feel like I have hit myself against a wall. You know, Cristianís checking himself out tonight.

Jessica: Is he ok?

Natalie: He says that he is. I'm not taking my eyes off of him. We're going back to Llanfair. Do you want me to have mom come back here?

Jessica: No, no. God, don't. She's been through enough already.

Natalie: I know. She's been dragging.

Jessica: You take care of her, please?

Natalie: Hey, don't you worry about a thing. I'm not going to let anything happen to you or to mom, Cristian -- anyone.

Jessica: You sound just like mom.

Natalie: Well, I guess maybe we're the only two daughters around here who aren't worrying about turning into their mother.

Antonio: Hey. Everything all right?

Natalie: Um -- Jess, I'm going to go. Try not to worry about remembering anything, ok?

Jessica: I will.

Antonio: You feeling any better?

Jessica: Some.

Antonio: So what was -- what was Natalie talking about? Remember what?

Jessica: I think -- I think I saw who killed Tico.

John: Hey. Didn't think you'd still be here.

Natalie: You, too.

John: Is Cris all right?

Natalie: I'm taking him home.

John: Kind of soon, isn't it?

Natalie: He won't stay.

John: Oh. Well, I can't say that I blame him. You two need some time together.

Natalie: Yeah. So, what, are you still here working?

John: Yeah, I got the C.S.U. Boys checking things out.

Natalie: All to figure out who killed a killer?

John: Sometimes the job stinks, but it's still a job.

Natalie: I guess I can be happy. Usually when there's a murder, I'm your number one suspect.

John: Yeah, well, if you hadn't been sitting next to me when it happened --

Natalie: Right. I would've been on the top of your list.

John: Hmm. Well, look -- uh -- say hi to Cris for me. I'm just on my way to talk to Jessica.

Natalie: Why?

John: It's kind of obvious, don't you think?

Natalie: So you heard?

John: Heard what?

Natalie: Nothing.

John: Natalie.

Natalie: Can you just wait to talk to Jessica until the morning?

John: She knows something, doesn't she?

Natalie: Look, she thinks that she saw somebody. But she doesn't remember, ok, and I think it's the drugs talking.

John: Maybe.

Natalie: Just give it a rest, just for tonight, ok? She's really upset.

John: Doesn't make a difference, Natalie. You know i have to talk to her sooner or later.

Natalie: I know. But just not tonight, ok? Please?

Cristian: Giving you a hard time?

Natalie: No. No. Actually, john was just telling me that he's going to wait until morning to talk to Jessica, right?

John: You have my word.

Cristian: Yeah, yeah, that's worth something. Let's go home.

Evangeline: This could work.

Bo: Yeah, yeah. See, sometimes when you're stuck on a case it helps to just rattle a few cages.

Evangeline: Well, I know what I have to do.

Bo: Oh, Evangeline, thank you, thank you. I owe you one.

Evangeline: You do. See you.

Bo: See you.

Bo: Well, it's Showtime.

Blair: Now, why do you think that you are going to screw things up, huh?

Todd: It's what I do.

Blair: It's what you used to do.

Todd: You really think Iíve changed that much?

Blair: Yes, I do. Don't you?

Todd: More like a work in progress, i think.

Blair: Ok. Well, then, what's it going to take?

Todd: I don't know. I've changed everything. I've -- I tried changing my name, my face.

Blair: But you know what, Todd?

Todd: Hmm?

Blair: I loved you, not walker Laurence, not anybody else. Just you.

Todd: Yeah, I bet it was a real walk in the park being with me all these years, huh? Huh?

Blair: Well, there have been times that i definitely wanted to strangle you. And there have been times that you've made me so miserable. But all those bad times are so outweighed by how much I love you, Todd. Truth is I was the most miserable when I was without you. I love you so much. And that's not going to change, whether we get married today or Christmas.

Todd: So why not today? Why not tomorrow?

Blair: Because we're not going to let anything bad happen, Todd. This is our time. This is our time. It's what we deserve.

Margaret: "Blair Cramer and Todd manning request the honor of your presence at a Christmas wedding." Well, of course I'll be there. I wouldn't miss it for anything.

R.J.: Ah, commissioner. What are you going to do, bust some of my friends or just try to revoke my liquor license?

Bo: No, I'm here to listen to some music, R.J.

R.J.: Right. Right, I forgot you're a big alt rock fan.

[Phone rings]

Bo: Excuse me.

R.J.: Oh, yeah, listen, if it's Audioslave, tell them to hop a greyhound, come on over.

Bo: Oh.

R.J.: Yeah.

bo: What the hell is alt rock? What's going on?

Evangeline: It's all set. Check out the news at 11:00.

Bo: That's nice work, Evangeline. Listen, hey, if you ever want to come over to the other side --

Evangeline: I'll get back to you on that. I'll see you soon, commissioner.

Lindsay: She's with someone else now.

Rex: For now.

Lindsay: Even if they broke up, it wouldn't be over you.

Rex: And here I thought you were a friend.

Lindsay: Not quite.

Rex: You know, you -- you have no idea what I've done for your daughter. None, ok?

Jen: You don't know what you're getting yourself into.

Riley: Surprise me.

Bo: What? How the hell did that get out? All right, never mind, damn it! R.J., Turn on the TV.

R.J.: Oh, we got enough entertainment.

Bo: Will you just turn it on, please? WVL!

TV announcer: And now, breaking news in the Paul Cramer murder case. Sources within the L. P.D. Report that a new piece of evidence has been found -- a shovel, police believe, that was used to bury the victim's body. Now, our sources say that police have sent the shovel to G.R.T. Labs to be tested for fingerprints. And even though the police have suspects in custody, our sources tell us that they are considering widening the investigation. More later.

Bo: All right, turn the damn thing off. I got to find out who leaked this.

Natalie: It's definitely not our room at the cottage.

Cristian: Well, it's not the attic, either. Not that it was so bad hiding out there with you.

Natalie: That's all in the past now. No more worries. Tico's dead and he can't hurt us ever again.

Cristian: I don't want to talk about Tico anymore.

Natalie: You know, we never really did talk about it, Cristian. You must be feeling so much after everything you've been through.

Cristian: What Iím feeling is that it's over. He's gone. Look, I just -- I just want to pick up where we were. And I think that was, what, the honeymoon?

Natalie: No. Cristian, I don't think we should.

Antonio: You saw Ticoís killer?

Jessica: I think so.

Antonio: But you don't know for sure?

Jessica: I saw someone in the room. I saw them pull the plug. But when I -- I think I can, I can't make out their face.

Antonio: So you don't even know if it's a man or a woman?

Jessica: I know that if i concentrate and focus, I can remember. I just --

Antonio: Donít. Don't even try to remember.

Jessica: Why not?

Jen: Did you hear that on the news?

Riley: Yeah, but you know how the media likes to drag out a story. They'll probably end up finding Dorian Lord and David Vickers' prints all over the shovel anyway.

Jen: They think that somebody else might've done it.

Riley: Then they'll find out who and bust them.

Riley: I've been looking for the heart to keep on pushing through this life

R.J.: Looks like you could use a little more wine.

Lindsay: You heard the news report?

R.J.: Yes, I heard the news.

Lindsay: Isn't there something you can do?

R.J.: Consider it done. Oh, counselor. You know, there's no jazz on the bill tonight, so I don't think you'll find your boyfriend here.

Evangeline: I came to hear midnight logic. What? I'm a fan.

R.J.: Ah. Well, they're drawing a very strange crowd tonight.

Cristian: What's the matter?

Natalie: You're hurting.

Cristian: I told you Iím ok.

Natalie: Cristian, we're kissing, and you -- you winced. I should've never let you leave the hospital.

Cristian: I'm not going back to the hospital.

Natalie: Ok, and I don't want that, either, but I want to make sure you're well enough.

Cristian: To make love? Well, do you think Iím well enough to touch you?

Natalie: Cristian.

Cristian: Or maybe Iím well enough to just --

Cristian: Oh, no. Wait -- oh.

Natalie: This is exactly what Iím talking about. Maybe waiting is not such a bad idea.

Cristian: Natalie, come on.

Natalie: No. It could be like our first time to make love.

Cristian: That might just be worth waiting for.

John: In your opinion, could Jessica have turned off Ticoís life support?

Michael: I doubt it. I'm surprised she even made it out of her hospital bed.

John: No chance she had a burst of energy or something?

Michael: No way. The amount of drugs she was on, she never could've done it. John, don't touch the machine.

John: Oh. So you're pretty sure about this?

Michael: You want a second opinion?

John: No. I'm just covering my bases, Michael.

Michael: Listen, john, I know that you're going to want to question Jessica. Could you wait till tomorrow?

John: Mikey, a guy is dead, and she might have seen who did it. Sooner or later, Iím going to have to talk to her.

Jessica: Why don't you want me to remember who killed Tico?

Antonio: It's not that I don't want you to remember. It's if you actually saw something.

Jessica: Antonio, I did actually see something, ok? I did. I'm not just imagining this.

Antonio: Ok. Ok, who else have you told that you think you saw the murderer?

Jessica: I don't know -- you and Natalie and maybe my mom. I don't remember.

Antonio: Ok. Well, maybe you shouldn't tell anyone else until you actually know what it is you saw.

Jessica: But you think I'll remember, right? I just -- this is driving me crazy.

Antonio: Well, that's because you're trying too hard. What you need to do right now is get some rest. When you wake up, things will be more clear.

Jessica: Will you stay with me?

R.J.: Now, it shouldn't be too hard to find a shovel in here.

Lindsay: It's getting late. Why don't you let me drive you home?

Jen: I want to hear the rest of Rileyís set.

Lindsay: You sure?

Jen: Why?

Lindsay: Because you seem a little edgy, that's all.

Jen: I have no reason to be.

Lindsay: So everything's good with Riley?

Jen: Yes, it is now.

Riley: Telling me if it's real

Lindsay: So it was the police report, wasn't it? Was it the report or just that they found the shovel that they buried Paul with?

Jen: Look, maybe you're right. Maybe I should go home.

R.J.: What the hell are you doing here?

Rex: What about you? If I didn't know better, I'd think you came to jack a shovel.

R.J.: That brought you here?

Rex: Let's just grab it and go.

R.J.: Which one?

Rex: You don't know which is the one that buried Paul?

R.J.: Do you?

Michael: Did Jessica say that she had seen somebody kill Tico?

John: I'll know more when I talk to her, Michael.

Michael: But you think she did. Or somebody told you that she did.

John: Hey, do me a favor. Tell me about these drugs she had in her system. I mean, are these the kind of meds that could cause her to hallucinate?

Michael: Well, everybody reacts differently, so, yeah, it's a definite possibility.

John: Or she could've really witnessed Ticoís murder.

Michael: Man. How do you solve that?

John: I don't know. We're waiting for the reports to come back from C.S.U. Right now, but until then, Jessicaís all we got.

Natalie: Hey.

Cristian: Hey.

Natalie: This is all I could find. Didn't have any of your favorite snacks downstairs.

Cristian: This works.

Natalie: But I bet I know what you're craving.

Cristian: Besides you?

Natalie: How about tomorrow -- I'm going to the grocery store and Iím going to get you the biggest bag of pork rinds I can find.

Cristian: Good, because I love those almost as much as I love you.

Natalie: Since when? I mean, you never liked them before. God, what did they feed you on that ship? I'm sorry, I never should've brought it up.

Cristian: No, it's -- it's ok. It's going to come up.

Natalie: Yeah, but I don't have to throw it in your face.

Cristian: We can't change it. We just have to learn to live with it. I was only teasing you -- about the food.

Natalie: I almost forgot. Guess who has a new exhibit going on in Philly.

Cristian: Who?

Natalie: Only your favorite artist of all time.

Cristian: Cool. Great. So when do we go?

Natalie: You don't seem too excited.

Cristian: Well, I'm excited. I am, really.

Natalie: Cristian, you do know who Iím talking about, don't you?

Cristian: Favorite artist -- let's see. Who's my favorite artist? Well, the medium would have to be acrylic on black velvet.

Natalie: You scared me there. Ahem. I thought you forgot who David Hockney was.

Cristian: How could I forget who David Hockney is? His work has been like -- well, the biggest influence on my work.

Natalie: Yeah, besides Diego Rivera.

Cristian: Right, right, Rivera. I'm just glad you remember.

Natalie: Yeah. And I do remember, Cristian. I remember everything you ever said to me, everything we ever did together. I never forgot you while you were gone. I never forgot you. I mean, you do believe me, right?

Cristian: Why wouldn't I?

Natalie: No reason. No reason at all. Oh -- I just remembered, we do have one of your favorite snacks down in the pantry. I'll be right back.

Cristian: "Favorite artists -- David Hockney, Diego Rivera."

Todd: Look, I know things have been really great with us lately, but --

Blair: Great? They're better than ever.

Todd: Yeah, I agree. But I'm just thinking --

Blair: But what? Have you done something?

Todd: Do you see what I mean?

Blair: Have you?

Todd: No!

Blair: Well, then what are we talking about here? Because you usually act and then worry.

Todd: Yeah, that's --

Blair: You're acting like there's something bad's going to happen, you're waiting for something to happen.

Todd: It's because Iíve screwed up so many times before.

Blair: Well, I tell you what -- I am willing to take my chances, ok? I guess I have maybe made too much out of all this, and I know you worked really hard and you've been working really hard, and the kids are a little stressed out.

Todd: What are you trying to say?

Blair: What the hey? Let's get married tomorrow.

[Blair laughs]

Todd: All right, now --

Blair: What?

Todd: There's one caveat here. Are you going to come back at me anytime in the future all upset because I rushed us into this?

Blair: Ok, why don't you just shut up and kiss me.

Margaret: A Christmas wedding. What a wonderful idea! Only not so wonderful for you.

Riley: Thank you. Thank you very much. You've been a great audience. Please try to catch us next week at Ultra Violet. Good night.

Sheyne: Hey. What's up with Jen taking off in the middle of the set?

J.K.: Yeah, that was cold.

Riley: We're fine, thank you. Excuse me. Where's R.J.?

Bartender: He left a little while ago.

Riley: We were supposed to get paid right after the set.

Bartender: Sorry, can't help you.

Riley: Where in the hell did everyone go?

Rex: How would I know which is the shovel that buried Cramer? I didn't do it.

R.J.: Neither did I, or I'd be long gone with it.

Rex: What are you doing here anyway? Protecting somebody? Like maybe Lindsay?

R.J.: And who are you protecting? As if I had to ask.

Rex: What's going on with you and Lindsay anyway?

R.J.: We can share later, ok? Let's do what we came to do. Tell you what -- you take the other two.

John: Hey, hold up.

Michael: He was released to the morgue, John. I got to take him down.

John: Just give me a minute.

John: It's a crap job sometimes, Mikey. This guy -- he hurt a lot of people, and now I have to be the jerk that goes and tries to find out who did this to him. In these cases, sometimes I wonder who the hell's going to care.

John: Couple more night classes, I could've been a dentist.

[Monitor beeps]

[monitor stops]

Tico: You know who killed me, my beautiful bride. You know. You know. You know.

Antonio: Jessica?

Jessica: Oh!

Antonio: Hey, what -- what is it?

>> On the next "one life to live" --

Blair: We got a problem, Todd. We got a big problem.

Natalie: We just can't go back to being the way we were, can we?

John: Antonio is not going anywhere as long as Jessicaís in the hospital.

Viki: Do you know who killed Tico?
