Kevin: Something happen? Dad, is mom ok?
Clint: Her body is rejecting Ben's heart. She's in trouble, Kevin. Big trouble.
Jessica: What is that?
Dr. Gardner: It's an antibiotic. Your mother has an acute infection and we're trying to contain it.
Jessica: Mom, you have to fight this.
Kevin: You let Ben help you through this, mom. He's with you. We all are.
Starr: Can we go visit Aunt Viki now?
Blair: Well, Bo and Nora are on their way over to get you right now.
Starr: What about dad? Is he there visiting Aunt Viki?
Blair: I don't know where your father is right now.
Starr: What'd he do?
Starr: Come on, you have to be mad at him, right? I mean, you were all calm when you came back from Bermuda. Now you're freaking out again.
Blair: I'm not freaking out.
Starr: What did he do now?
Blair: I'm afraid that he's up to his old tricks, sweetie.
David: Kelly, Blair knows we were talking to Todd last night and she's all over me about it. I had to lie because I couldn't very well say that we were looking for Paulís dead body in a New Jersey landfill. I can't get clean. I've taken so many showers my skin is starting to flake off, and I'm running out of Dorian's moisturizer. Call me! We got to get our story straight before the cops start nosing around.
Bo: Well, hello, Vickers. You mind?
Bo: Do you know what I heard? I heard that you were questioned about Paul Cramerís disappearance. What's your angle on all this?
Kelly: I cannot believe you did that!
Todd: I'm going down, too, you know. What do you think Blairís going to do when Kevin tells her we've been sleeping together?
Kelly: We're not sleeping together, Todd. That's the point. What the hell were you thinking?
Todd: A cover for you, because once again you're too stupid to come up with any answers on your own!
Kelly: Oh, great, great! So -- so smart guy here comes up with I'm cheating on Kevin with you?
Todd: Maybe -- maybe I should tell Kevin that Paul is blackmailing you because you stole a baby to pass off as your own. Would you like that?
Kelly: No. No, I wouldn't like that. But come on, I mean, we're having an affair? That -- that's the excuse you came up with?
Todd: It's the best I could -- yes; it's the best I could come up with! I'm -- I'm a little stressed out. You see this? We're dealing with someone's death here, Kelly. Try to remember that.
Kelly: I know. I remember.
Man: And whose death might that be? Agent Ted Scott, F.B.I.
Natalie: Paul! Oh, my God, you're alive!
Woman: Not for long. I thought you were dead, Cramer. If you don't get the hell out of here, you will be!
Marcie: "Despite an additional leg fracture, Dr. McBain was able to pull Miss Walsh to safety."
Marcie: You're my hero. That's so cool!
Michael: Oh, yeah -- "additional leg fracture" -- so cool.
Jen: Oh, Michael, you're so strong!
Jen: You're so strong!
Marcie: You're my hero!
Michael: Shut up, you guys.
Jen: My God, you look hammered.
Riley: Oh, I just pulled an all-night on my Comm. Theory paper, and it still reeks.
Jen: I wish I could help.
Riley: Oh, my extension didn't even help, and -- which means I'm going to tank the course. Which means not only will I not graduate, but I get to spend the whole summer with the rest of losers who didn't pass -- present company excluded.
Jen: Well, what could be more fun than taking summer classes in little small rooms with no air conditioning?
Riley: That is a hell of a point that I didn't think of. Thank you. Nice write-up, guys, in the paper, and I was sorry to hear about your leg, Michael. Did it hurt worse the second time around?
Michael: It pretty much sucked both times, yeah.
Marcie: Wouldn't it be cool if the Commissioner gave us some kind of good citizen's award?
Michael: Are you out of your mind, Marcie?
Michael: Yeah, you really are. Bo and John are going to rip into us for messing around police business.
David: I already explained. I just happened to be in Atlantic City when Paul Cramer just up and disappeared.
David: What's with the inquisition? Why are you working this case anyway?
Bo: I'm not. The F.B.I. is. I just came by to pick up Starr.
Bo: Somebody just mentioned to me that you had been questioned, and I didn't even know you're involved.
David: Just playing Blackjack. Lost a ton. Never split 6ís.
David: I had nothing to do with Paul Cramer.
Bo: The way you're acting, I think it'd be a good idea if the feds had another look at you.
Agent Scott: You were saying something about a death?
Todd: My sister just had a heart transplant. We're a little worried she might not make it. It's none of your business.
Agent Scott: Well, I hope your sister has a very speedy recovery, Mr. Manning. And you're Kelly Buchanan, Paul Cramerís sister, correct?
Kelly: What -- what can I do for you?
Agent Scott: We're looking for Natalie Vega.
Todd: Probably with her mother.
Agent Scott: No, she's not. I just came from Mrs. Davidson's room.
Todd: Then she's not. We happen to be talking, so if you don't mind?
Agent Scott: You're going to be hearing from me, or from my partner, Agent Fitzgerald.
Todd: Why would I have that honor?
Agent Scott: The F.B.I. is now involved in the investigation of Mr. Cramer's disappearance. It's possible that your brother is involved in criminal activity with a major mob family. His life could be in danger. We've got to find him, if he's still alive.
Natalie: Tell me what happened.
Paul: I don't even know where to begin.
Natalie: Ok. Let's start with we were in the motel room, I was really, really drunk. You said that I could keep the room, and then you were going to get another one. When I woke up, there was an address for, I guess, the other hotel, and I went there.
Paul: Yeah, that was Kellyís room.
Natalie: Well, I don't know. Whoever's it was, there was blood all over the floor, and I was standing there. The cops walked in.
Paul: They thought you killed me?
Natalie: Paul, I had your blood all over my hands.
Paul: Natalie, I'm so sorry, all right? I didn't mean to get you involved in this.
Natalie: Ok, come on. Why don't we go talk to John?
Paul: Yeah, right. Right. I mean he would never use an innocent person to get a big bust. Just like he didn't get your husband killed in Vegas when he put him on the frontline, right?
Natalie: You leave Cristian out of this. Just finish. Where did you go?
Kevin: We better get Natalie back here.
Clint: Come on, Natalie. Pick up, honey, pick up.
Paul: The next thing I remember is smelling garbage, waking up wrapped up in a blanket they got from the hotel.
Paul: They threw me in a landfill, Natalie. I woke up to see Kelly and Todd Manning taking off in their cars.
Natalie: Kelly and Todd? Why would your sister do that to you?
Paul: Natalie, I'm telling you the truth. I swear. That's why I called you. You're the only one I can trust. I mean you've got to believe me.
Natalie: All right, come on. Come on. I'm going to take you to John.
Paul: Oh, no. No, no, no, no. He just wants to --
Natalie: Ok, stop, all right? I'll have my Uncle Bo there, too, ok, but you're going to wind up dead if you don't go to the police.
Paul: Natalie, that's exactly what I want you to do -- I want you to go to the police.
Marcie: Commissioner, hey!
Nora: Marcie. Come on in, sweetie.
Marcie: Hey, Matthew. Come on in, guys.
Matthew: We're going to see Starrís Aunt Viki in the hospital.
Bo: Yeah, we can't stay too long.
Marcie: Sorry about your brother, Commissioner.
Bo: We're all going to miss him.
Jen: Hey, everybody.
Nora: Hey, Jen!
Riley: Yo, Matthew.
Matthew: Hey, Starr, this is my friend Riley.
Nora: Why don't you two go and chat with Jen and Riley and give us a chance to talk to Michael and Marcie.
Riley: You know I was actually going to go outside and play some new stuff. You want to hear it?
Riley: Come on.
Michael: Why do I get the impression that you guys aren't here to give us a commendation?
Bo: I hear that John told you two a couple of times to back off and let us handle Dr. Long.
Nora: Marcie, I've -- I've even heard you on the phone, telling people who call in to leave things in the hands of the police and the District Attorney's office. You, more than anyone, should know what happens when they don't do that.
Bo: And if you two ever try something like this again, John can't bail you out. I'll have to book you.
Michael: Well, you know, John kept on telling us that you guys didn't have enough evidence --
Bo: Well, I'll tell you something, Michael. The next time you break your leg, why don't you come and see me? Let me set it for you, ok, because I watch all those medical programs on TV.
Michael: I hear you.
Bo: You two are two of the good guys. A lot of people would've been upset if we'd lost you up on that hospital roof.
Nora: Yeah, especially us.
Bo: Ok. We got to be going.
Nora: Bye, guys.
Michael: See you, guys. Uh-huh.
Marcie: So, when's our next case, Sherlock Holmes?
Michael: Why don't you just stick to writing your novel? I'm running out of legs.
Dr. Gardner: Her temperature is down. Her body is fighting the infection. She's over the hurdle. How you feeling?
Dr. Gardner: Well, I can't imagine why.
Jessica: She's in the clear?
Dr. Gardner: Well, the fact that her body has been fighting off this infection so quickly does indicate that she is accepting the heart.
Kevin: So, what do we do no
Dr. Gardner: We just let her heal. You'll always be on a regimen of antibiotics, and some of those are going to be more effective than others. Your mom's going to be just fine.
Kevin: Nice work, champ.
Jessica: Well, we'd better go and tell dad before he gets a hold of Natalie and -- and scares her.
Kevin: All right.
Viki: I am so glad that you were here because they needed your strength.
Joey: I'm not the strong one.
Viki: Oh. I heard you pray. You know, Joey, I heard Ben, too. He was talking to me. He was telling me to fight. And I think I need you to do something for me now. Ok, I know that there's a mountain of work for you and dad back in London and I would like you both to go back, all right? Well, I seem to be out of the woods, and there's really nothing at all that you can do here now.
Joey: You won't let us take care of you for more than 10 minutes, will you?
Viki: I don't want you all just waiting around while I recuperate, ok? The doctor just said it's going to take a lot of time.
Joey: Ok. If that's what you really want.
Viki: It is. Joey, I -- I think I have -- I have what I need right here.
Clint: Well that was a close one, son. Hey, you ok? Did the doctor say something about --?
Kevin: No, it's not about mom. It's about Kelly. I'm starting to wonder if I can trust my wife.
Clint: Well, I know how much the two of you love Ace, and, well, you love each other. Of course, I'm living over there in London. Maybe I don't know as much as I think I do.
Kevin: Yeah, well, I got to tell you, dad -- every day what I see I like less and less.
Kelly: Why is the F.B.I. investigating Paulís disappearance? All right, what are we going to do?
Todd: Will you shut up?
Kelly: Kevin is already suspicious.
Todd: Kevin is the least of your concerns now.
Kelly: He's my husband. He covered for me when I took that money from B.E. He covered for me again with the police about Paulís disappearance. Now the F.B.I. is involved. He could lose his job. He could go to jail, too!
Todd: You're not going to go to jail. No one's going to jail.
Kelly: I think we've got to talk to Bo. We got to tell Bo everything
Todd: You don't tell Bo a thing. If Blair finds out I've been helping you, she's going to think I haven't changed. She's going to think that I'm the same lying bastard that I always have been.
Kelly: You are the same lying bastard you always have been.
Todd: No. No, I'm not. You have no idea what it's like to not be able to see your kids without an appointment. And what about you? Don't you want Ace?
Kelly: I'm not going to lose Ace. I wasn't suggesting telling Bo about that.
Todd: You tell Bo one word; I tell the rest. You lose Kevin; you lose Ace. No telling Bo.
Bo: Tell Bo what?
Paul: Go to the police. Tell them I'm all right. Tell them you didn't kill me. But I need to hide out.
Natalie: Oh, my God! Paul, do you think that the police are going to believe me if I walk in and just say that you're alive?
Paul: I don't want to get you into any more trouble. I just need some time to figure this out or I am a dead man!
Natalie: Ok, listen to me. The police are not going to let anyone hurt you, all right? But I need to know -- why do these people want to kill you, and who is this Sara woman? What did -- how does she know you? What are you doing in here?
Paul: I have done some really stupid things in my life. All right, I can admit that. But it wasn't up until McBain put the screws on me and forced me to testify out in San Diego that I had a target on my back. He used me just like he used Cristian.
Natalie: Oh, God, stop it!
Paul: You listen to me. Listen to me -- have I ever lied to you? Hmm? Have I? Have I always told you the truth when you asked for it? How many times has McBain put you in the dark, huh?
Natalie: If you've never lied to me, then why do Todd and Kelly want you dead?
Blair: Well, well. You seem mighty nervous about something. I wonder if it has anything to do with you sneaking around with Todd and Kelly.
David: I already told you -- they're just trying to make you jealous.
Blair: Yeah, and I'm telling you right now I don't believe it. What's going on? Tell me the truth.
David: You know what's going on? You are trying to reconcile with a man who ruined your life, period.
Blair: I am not, period!
David: Yes, you are.
Blair: No, I'm not!
David: Yes, you are.
Blair: No, I'm not.
David: Blair, you need me to save you from yourself.
Blair: Oh, please.
David: You know what? I'm going to share something with you. I learned something from my relationship with Dorian, and that is sometimes you got to take a leap of faith. I did that, and it worked. I think you want to do that, too, but I'm not sure -- I'm not sure that you got the guts to do it on your own, and that's something I can't help you with. Now, if you'll excuse me, I got to go take a shower.
Blair: Uh-oh. What's wrong?
Kevin: Kelly and Todd.
Bo: I don't want to interrupt, but I heard my name.
Todd: You are interrupting.
Kelly: No, no, you're not. I want to talk to you about something.
Bo: What's on your mind, Kelly?
Todd: Hey, Shorty!
Starr: Oh, my gosh, I have so much to tell you! We went snorkeling, and then mom rented a moped.
Bo: Why don't you take Matthew on in to see Viki and then I'll meet you in there, ok? Kelly wants to talk to me about something.
Nora: All right.
Kelly: Actually, I -- I just wanted to tell you how sorry I am about Ben. I wish I had known him better.
Bo: Uh-huh. We'll all miss him. That's what you wanted to talk to me about?
Kelly: Yeah. I'm just really sorry.
Bo: Well, you know where I am if something else comes up.
Blair: Well, how do you know about Todd and Kelly?
Kevin: You know?
Blair: Well, know that they're trying to make us jealous.
Kevin: Well, I have found them together a couple of times -- his arm around her, her hugging him. Have you seen anything like that?
Blair: Well, not anything romantic. I mean -- come on, Kevin, they don't even like each other.
Kevin: Well, they're spending a lot of time together. You know, either he's manipulating her so he can get back at me or --
Blair: Well, the manipulation sounds like Todd -- revenge, all that kind of stuff -- but casual sex? No, that's not him, and not with Kelly.
Kevin: He says he loves you -- what a joke.
Blair: Well, she says she loves you.
Kevin: They just told me they had slept together.
Marcie: So the way I figure it, a few more cases like that Dr. Long investigation and my novel is going to write itself.
Michael: Marcie, no.
Riley: Look, how can anyone write for fun? I'm trying to write this Comm. Theory paper and it's killing me.
Jen: Uh-oh, Marcie. We both got something from L.U.
Jen: Come on, on three.
Jen: One --
Marcie: One --
Jen and Marcie: Two, three.
Riley: I know that look.
Michael: Yeah. What's it say, Marcie?
Marcie: I -- I got two incompletes to go along with my C in chemistry. So make that three for summer school. I'm going to go work on my novel.
Michael: Marcie? Marcie?
Riley: How did you do?
Jen: I flunked three classes. I only knew about two. God, I'm so stupid.
Riley: No, you're not. It's just -- you know.
Jen: Sometimes I just think, "What's the point?" You know? I mean, now I'm going to have to take three classes this summer.
Riley: Like me.
Clint: So, Joey tells me we're getting the boot.
Viki: That's not exactly what I said.
Jessica: I just don't think she likes all these worried faces looking down on her.
Viki: That, too.
Clint: So, ma, what do you think of -- think of this one here? Hmm? A graduate student in journalism. Now, where do you think she got an idea like that?
Jessica: I wonder. Well, I'm going to go track down Natalie.
Jessica: Ok? I'll see you later.
Jessica: Bye, dad.
Clint: Bye. You know, I envy her. Just starting out, chasing the big stories.
Viki: I remember a certain very handsome maverick cowboy riding into town, chased down his share of big stories.
Clint: And then he met this incredible lady. And together they raised a family, a family that meant more and means more to him than anything else in the whole world.
Viki: You know, Clint, I was really worried that if I got Benís heart -- or anyone else's heart -- I would feel differently. But everyone who was in my heart before is still there, including you.
Joey: So you graduate in August, that's all.
Jen: Next January. Or 2010. You know, sometimes I think maybe I should just come looking for you in about 10 years. Maybe by then I'll be healthy enough to be the kind of wife you deserve.
Joey: Jen, don't do that to yourself.
Jen: Well, I screwed up.
Joey: And I didn't? I mean I tried to make you something that you werenít. Sometimes I really feel the weight of this collar.
Jen: I thought that sometimes, but then I just kind of put it all back on me.
Joey: Well, who knows? Maybe we're both due for a change. But I don't think it's going to take 10 years. I do know that I wouldn't have gotten this far without you. Goodbye, Jen.
Riley: You ok?
Jen: Well, I've gone through two divorces in the past 12 months, I'm not speaking to my mother, and I just flunked three classes.
Riley: So then why are you smiling?
Jen: Because I -- I just said goodbye to somebody without screaming or throwing something through a window. It was the right thing, and I -- I feel ok.
Todd: So tell me about Travis.
Starr: We got you a present.
Todd: Don't want to talk about Travis, huh? Ok. You got me a present? Was that your idea or your mom's?
Starr: Both of us. Did mom call you? I think she wanted to because she sounded really stressed.
Todd: What about?
Starr: I'm not going to get in the middle of it. I have my own life now.
Todd: I would like to hear about that life.
Starr: I'm going to go visit Aunt Viki now.
Todd: Thank you for not spilling anything to Bo.
Kelly: I couldn't, not after everything you've done for me.
Todd: Sure -- a little blackmail, a little helping you steal a baby.
Kelly: Well, I didn't exactly say they were smart things.
Todd: You know, I think it was the minute I realized I was waist deep in filth searching for a dead body that I said to myself, "What am I doing? I'm not too keen on this."
Kelly: You deserve to have your family back.
Todd: You deserve to have Ace. How are we going to get this done?
Todd: I got to go see Viki.
David: Hey, I wanted to give you a heads-up.
Kelly: Hi, David.
David: I told Blair that you and Todd were pretending to have an affair to make her jealous.
Kelly: Oh, this just keeps getting better and better.
David: Yeah? Well, then you're going to love this. Kevin's here. They're behind closed doors, and they're all abuzz about that very subject.
Blair: Look, I am telling you that Kelly and Todd are just trying to make us jealous.
Kevin: It doesn't make sense for Kelly to go along with this lie. Then again, nothing Kellyís been doing lately makes sense.
Blair: Well, I can tell you Todd wants to come home. That's all he tells me. He wants us all to be a family again.
Kevin: Ok, if they're not having an affair, then how is Paul blackmailing her?
Blair: Are you sure he was?
Kevin: I am sure.
Blair: I don't know. If they want us to be confused and full of doubt, well, I think they've succeeded.
Kevin: You know what? We're not getting any answers here.
David: I've got a new column for the magazine -- "Eavesdropping Craze." No-tech is the way to go.
Kevin: That's the best you can do?
David: Yeah. Dorian's all out of moisturizer. I'm going to go up to your room and get some, ok?
Todd: Hey, I just checked my messages. You wanted to see me?
Blair: Yeah, I need to see you.
Todd: What about?
Blair: I -- ahem -- just need to see you face to face.
Todd: But why?
Blair: I need to know if we can pull our family back together.
Matthew: It started raining, and we went back to my mom's and had pizza, and we had movie night. My -- my mom and dad are so getting back together.
Starr: Grow up, Matthew. Parents don't get back together for their kids.
Nora: How is she?
Clint: Well, she gave us one hell of a scare, but she's going to pull through.
Nora: Oh, thank God. Ok, I'll sneak right in.
Clint: So, what's with the two of you?
Clint: Well, pa tells me that you're going to be getting back together.
Bo: He what? No, no, we're -- Nora and me? No way. No. Now, pa -- Clint, he's really been acting a little loco lately.
Clint: How would you know?
Bo: That's a good question. You know, this is different.
Clint: Well, maybe it is. Anyway, keep me posted, will you? Oh, and would you keep an eye on Viki? And let me know if anything --
Bo: You'll know the second I know, all right? Have a safe trip back.
Bo: I think I'll get in there and say hello.
Matthew: Uncle Clint, are you leaving?
Clint: Yeah, yeah, but I'll -- I'll be back someday.
Matthew: For the wedding?
Clint: Who's getting hitched?
Matthew: My mom and dad, but they don't know it yet.
Nora: The rest of the ant bites are in places that I'm not going to show you and, believe me, you certainly don't want to see.
Viki: Sounds like you had fun.
Bo: Well, tell her about the tent that you pitched. It looked a little like somebody tried to frame a hot-air balloon but without the hot air in it, so --
Nora: Oh, Bo. Come on.
Marcie: Michael, I'm busy.
Michael: Marcie --
Michael: I know you're bummed out about that letter from L.U., but throwing yourself into your novel isn't going to make it go away.
Marcie: Michael, my father is going to freak out. I'm going to lose my scholarship. And now I'm going to have to work extra hours just to pay the tuition!
Michael: Sweetie --
Michael: Everything is going to be ok.
Marcie: How do you know what I always need?
Michael: Bedside manner. They teach it in medical school.
Marcie: Oh, yeah? What else do they teach in medical school?
Michael: Let me show you.
Marcie: Yeah, I'm going to change my major.
Jen: What are you doing?
Viki: That is so lovely. Thank you so much.
Starr: You're welcome. I prayed for you, too.
Viki: I know you did. And believe me, that helped more than all the medicine in the world. Hey, how are you feeling these days, huh?
Starr: Great. I have a boyfriend.
Starr: I'll tell you about him later.
Viki: I can't wait. Bye, darling
Todd: I heard -- I heard we almost lost you. Sorry, I should have been here.
Viki: You know it makes me so nervous when people just worry over me. Are you smiling?
Todd: That surprise you?
Viki: Uh-huh. Well, between the surgery and the medication, everything is a little surreal right now, so I don't even know when I'm dreaming.
Todd: Viki, I know that before the surgery you asked me to become the man you know me to be, the man that you see, and I swear I'm really close -- especially after almost losing you and Starr. I am so tired of being angry. Revenge doesn't seem that important to me anymore.
Viki: Those are good things.
Todd: Yeah, it's just Blair. If I could just get her to see what you see. If I could just make her believe that -- that the good person that you see isn't going to disappear or be replaced by some monster, I think I could really change.
Viki: You just have to decide to be that man, and that's when Blair will see him, too.
Kevin: We need to talk.
Kelly: I just want you to know that I love you and I don't want to lose you.
Kevin: What did you do?
Kathryn: Mr. Buchanan. Agent Fitzgerald, F.B.I. We're investigating the disappearance of Paul Cramer.
Kevin: Yeah, I already told the police that we didn't see Paul. I brought my wife home early that night.
Kathryn: Then how did your wife's car end up outside a landfill in Cherry Hill, New Jersey?
Kevin: A landfill?
Kathryn: Her car was seen leaving a landfill where we believe Paul Cramerís body was dumped.
Paul: They're not answering.
Natalie: Who were you calling?
Paul: Some people I know that could hide me.
Sara: Paul, you got to get out of here now! Move it!
Natalie: What's going on? What's going on?
Sara: They're coming in the back way! I mean it; I can't help you anymore, Paul!
Man: You Sara?
Man: I'm looking for this kid --
Paul: We got to use your car. If you don't help me out, I'm a dead man!
Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life To Live."
On the next "One Life To Live" --
Kathryn: A lot of people know a lot more than what they're saying.
David: So the truth is worse than sleeping with her husband's worst enemy. What did Paul have on Kelly?
Kevin: Did Todd kill Paul for you?
Paul: You either help me a lot or the next time you see me is going to be in a morgue
