Kathryn: I need to bring Natalie in.

[John sighs]

John: It's not a good time. Her mom is in I.C.U. They don't know if she's going to make it.

Kathryn: I'm not asking, John. I came to you first because you're close to her, but if I have to, I'll make the arrest myself.

John: You know, this is a local missing persons. What's the bureau doing getting involved?

Kathryn: Ever heard of the Santi family? Drugs mostly, works out of Puerto Rico?

John: Yeah. Yeah, the boss just died. So what? You think Cramer was working for them?

Kathryn: Yeah, it looks that way, although I can't say for sure if our little Paulie even knew. Still, he could be our ticket in, assuming we can find him.

John: Well, if he was working for the Santi family, he could be at the bottom of the river by now. What's any of this got to do with Natalie?

Kathryn: There was blood all over the hotel room. All the physical evidence points to her. I got to check that out. Now, are you going to bring her in, or am I?

Kelly: I don't know if we're going to make it home tonight, but it shouldn't be any problem. How long was he been awake? Ok, well --

David: Weíve got to talk.

Kelly: I'll call you right back. What? What's going on?

David: Have the police questioned you again about Paul?

Kelly: No, no. Come on.

David: Tell me the truth. Did you move Paulís body out of that motel room?

Kelly: Why would you ask me that? Do you think I killed him?

David: No, I don't, because I did.

[Phone rings]

Todd: What is it?

Man: I just talked to my contact at the L.P.D. The F.B.I.'s taking over the Paul Cramer investigation.

Todd: F.B.I.? Why?

Man: You won't believe it, boss.

Todd: I can't talk about this right now. Call me back.

Blair: Hey.

Todd: Hey.

Blair: You ok?

Todd: Yeah. I just needed to get out of Vikiís room for a while. I was making things worse, I think.

Kevin: Hey, mom wants to see everyone. She's got something to say.

Viki: Where's Natalie?

Natalie: I'm right here, mom.

Jessica: Joey's in the chapel with Asa and Renee. They're saying a prayer for Ben.

Dorian: Todd, maybe we shouldn't crowd her.

Kevin: The nurse said you wanted to see us.

Viki: Yes. I've made a decision about Benís heart.  I think this is what he wants. You know, I think this is what he's been trying to tell me in my dreams and at his bedside. Ever since I've been ill, you know, I've -- I've felt him with me, telling me not to give up. And I think that he knows that I'm in trouble now, without -- without a new heart, I'll die, so I think he decided to leave us so that I could stay with you. I know it's what he wants. I don't know how I feel about it, but I'll do it. I'll have the transplant --

Jessica: Oh, thank God.

Viki: Take Benís heart.

Jessica: Oh, thank God.

Todd: Ok, let's clear out. We got to get that heart into her quick.

Jessica: Todd --

Viki: It's all right, Jessica.

Kevin: How long do we have?

Dorian: The procedure has already been started. Viki's condition is stable, so it shouldn't be long.

Todd: Better not be.

Joey: Kevin paged me. Did something happen?

Dorian: Your mother's decided to have the transplant.

Joey: Oh. Oh, God, thank you.

Jessica: Mom, I'm so sorry about Ben. But I agree with you. I think this is what he would have wanted for you.

Viki: I just kept thinking, "what if he could have made it?" What if he could have come back to us for good someday?

Kevin: I think we all know that wasn't going to happen, mom.

Jessica: But he's going to live. He's going to be with you. Every heartbeat that you have will be his and yours together.

Viki: Joey.

Kevin: You heard?

Joey: Dorian told me.

Kevin: I guess we call this a miracle, huh? A pretty strange one.

Joey: Most miracles are. You mind if we change shifts for a while?

Kevin: Sure, you go ahead. Listen, you know where Kelly is, do you?

Kelly: Why did you kill Paul? How is that even possible?

David: I came to your motel room. The door was opened, so I walked in.

David: What the hell are you doing?

David: You were lying there on the bed. You were out cold. I thought he killed you.

Paul: Wait a minute. What the hell are you talking about? I would never hurt Kelly.

David: You hurt her every day! I've seen it!

Kelly: I had just taken too many sleeping pills.

David: Yeah, well, I thought he wanted to make sure that you never woke up again.

Kelly: Oh, my God!

David: He said he just wanted to put the pillow under your head, but I saw you lying there. You were -- you seemed so helpless. I just -- I freaked out, ok? We got into it.

Paul: You go to hell, all right? Agh!

David: God!

Kelly: You did it. You killed him.

David: It was an accident, ok, but I freaked. I never said -- I never said I was the most standup guy, ok? I ran.

Kelly: Yeah, and you left me with the body!

David: It was a rotten thing to do, but I came back, I did come back, and I was going to get ride of it. I'm sorry I ran out on you. I just kind of -- but the body was gone, and so were you.

Kelly: I woke up and I just -- I panicked. I saw Paulís body on the floor. I thought that I had killed him in some blackout or something, and so I just got rid of him!

David: All by yourself? I find that hard to believe.

Kelly: I called someone.

David: Kevin?

Kelly: No! God, no!

David: Who? Who else knows about this?

Kelly: Todd! Todd! I called Todd.

David: You called Todd Manning? Are you suicidal?

Kelly: He can't tell anyone. He's just as guilty as we are.

David: Kelly, you and I are the only ones who know that. Todd is a snake. Never -- if you're in trouble, you come to me. Do not go to Todd Manning. And whatever you do, do not let him know that I am responsible.

Kelly: You killed my brother and then you let me think I did it!

David: Yeah, I know, but I feel really bad, ok? And I did come back. I was going to take responsibility -- or at least dump his body behind a casino -- but you beat me to it. Tell me what you and -- what did you guys do with the body?

Kelly: Oh, I -- I don't care. He's gone! Now -- oh, my God, I'm going crazy.

David: No! Listen -- listen to me, ok? Stop being so selfish. I killed a man. I have to make sure that the cops don't find that body and trace it back to me. You got to tell me where the body is. I've got a better idea. You're going to show me.

Kathryn: Hello, Natalie. Thank you for coming.

Natalie: I do not have time for this right now. My mother is about to have major surgery and I need to be with her.

Kathryn: I know, and I'm sorry. I'm going to get this over with just as quick as I can.

Natalie: I already told the cops everything I know about Paul.

Kathryn: Right, I've read your statement, but this is an F.B.I. matter now.

Natalie: Fine. Ahem. Let's make this quick, because if anything happens to my mother while I am here --

John: You don't have to say anything without a lawyer present, if that's what you want.

Kathryn: Finding an attorney at this hour is going to take time, time Natalie says she doesn't have.

John: Then we reschedule.

Natalie: Ok, I --

John: She has the right to an attorney.

Natalie: I don't need one, thank you. I didn't do anything.

John: As long as you know what you're doing.

Natalie: Am I under arrest?

Kathryn: No. This is just an information-gathering session.

Natalie: Fine. Go ahead then. I have nothing to hide.

Kathryn: All right. Give me your whereabouts the night that Paul Cramer vanished.

Natalie: As I told the police before, I met Paul at The Xanadu Casino in Atlantic City. We went up to his room. I was really drunk. Ahem. Paul decided to -- to get his own room, and I fell asleep. When I woke up, he was gone, and I found this piece of paper on the floor with a motel address on it, and I -- I just figured that's -- that's where he went. I went over there to clear the air.

Kathryn: Why? Did you two have a fight?

Natalie: I thought you said you read my statement. No, we didn't have a fight.

Kathryn: Ok, and you two had been to Atlantic City together before. Hadn't you?

Natalie: Yeah. So what? It's my hometown.

Kathryn: Right, but you don't usually fly there in a medevac chopper, do you?

Natalie: No. And I have never dated a medevac pilot, either. What do you want from me?

Kathryn: You know, every time Paul takes that chopper out, he's working, albeit often illegally. I assume you knew that.

Natalie: No, I did not. John tried to warn me, but --

Kathryn: But you didn't believe him?

Natalie: I thought that he was jealous. Which is what this is all about, right?

Kathryn: What's that supposed to mean?

Natalie: This is not some information-gathering session, Kathryn. You were going after me for your own reasons.

John: Hey, take it easy, Natalie. Don't do that.

Kathryn: You know, Paul Cramer vanished after spending the night with you. He left his blood behind, and it was all over your hands. So if I were you, Natalie, I'd check the attitude at the door.

Todd: Also, hold off on the Ben Davidson obit for now. I'll tell you when to run it. Ok, thanks.

Blair: Hey.

Todd: Hey.

Blair: How you holding up?

Todd: Frankly, I'm not doing so hot.

Blair: Todd, she's in a great hospital. She has the best heart. You have to have a little faith that she's going to get better.

Todd: Unless she rejects it.

Blair: Now, why would she do that, huh? Ben's heart. He would never let her down.

Todd: How was Bermuda?

Blair: Oh, now -- a little rough. At first, Starr was having, you know, nightmares about being kidnapped. Then she still couldn't decide whether she hated me or not. But we got past that after our little moped ride.

Todd: Moped ride?

Blair: Uh-huh.

Todd: She must have loved that.

Blair: Oh, well, she loved complaining about that I was going way too slow. She goes, "mom, mom, you're embarrassing me in front of the whole island!"

Todd: Oh.

Blair: I think our daughter is beginning to heal.

Todd: And what about us? Are we beginning to heal?

Antonio: Hey.

Jessica: Hey.

Antonio: You ok?

Jessica: Yeah. Do you know where Natalie is?

Antonio: No, no, I haven't -- I haven't seen her in a while.

Jessica: I just -- I don't know where she'd disappear at a time like this.

Antonio: Well, I'll give John and Roxy a call, see if I can track her down, ok?

Jessica: Thank you.

Antonio: Hang in there. .

Kevin: Kelly. I've been looking for you everywhere.

Kelly: I -- I was in the chapel saying a prayer for Viki.

Kevin: Oh. Thank you.

Kelly: So, is there any news?

Kevin: Yeah, well, your prayer must have worked because she's going ahead with the transplant.

Kelly: Good, good. Thank God.

Kevin: Listen, we need to talk about what happened before. I lied to the Atlantic City police for you. Where were you really when Paul disappeared?

Kelly: Well, it's -- it's complicated, really. I -- Paul was involved in a lot of really bad stuff, and I was, you know --

Kevin: You know what? This -- don't worry about it. We'll just wait until mom gets through with her operation and we can go home.

Kelly: That's a good idea, I think.

Kevin: Yeah.

Kelly: I'm going to go check on Ace. I want to give him a kiss good night.

Kevin: Do you want me to go with you?

Kelly: No, no, you stay.

Kevin: No, mom's resting --

Kelly: You stay here with your mother, ok? She might wake up.

Kevin: All right.

Blair: This isn't the best time to talk about us, Todd.

Todd: Will it ever be?

Blair: I promise you, I had a lot of time to think about us when I was in Bermuda, and I want to tell you about it. It's just I think we should wait till Vikiís better.

Todd: I'm going to hold you to that.

Blair: Ok. Well, I need to get home to our children. Starr is very anxious about Viki.

Todd: Did you tell her about the transplant?

Blair: No, but I think I should, don't you?

Todd: Yeah. She deserves to know.

Blair: Yeah.

Antonio: Hello, Roxy. This is Antonio Vega. Listen, Jess and I are looking for Natalie. It's an emergency. So if you see her, please have her call us right away. Thank you.

Kathryn: Ok, we need the names of everyone that Paul Cramer came into contact with when you were in Atlantic City.

Natalie: You said this would be quick. I need to get back to the hospital.

John: This isn't going anywhere.

Kathryn: As soon as she answers the question --

Natalie: Ok, fine, fine, fine. Let's see -- the only people that I saw Paul Cramer talk to were the cocktail waitresses and the card dealers. And, yes, he did make a few phone calls, but I'm sorry. I was unaware of the fact that I was supposed to write every word he said down!

Kathryn: You know this isn't a joke, Natalie. If there's anything you're not telling me about Paul Cramerís disappearance, you'll save yourself a lot of grief if you come clean now.

Natalie: For the last time, I went to that motel room, and there was no one there.

John: Ok, ok --

Natalie: I saw the spot on the rug, and I put my hand in it, which is where the blood on my hands come from.

John: Stop.

Natalie: So if you want to hang me, please, just get it over with now, ok?

John: Shh. Let's get you out of here.

[Phone rings]

John: Excuse me. Yeah, McBain.

Antonio: Hey, man, you seen Natalie, by any chance?

John: Yeah. She's right here.

Natalie: Is it about mom?

John: What's up, Antonio?

Antonio: Viki's going into surgery as soon as they stabilize her. She needs to get over here.

John: Yeah, ok, we're on our way.

David: Hey!

Dorian: "Hey" yourself! What are you doing here?

David: Well, I didn't want to take off until I made sure you were ok.

Dorian: I'm fine, but Vikiís going ahead with the transplant, so I've got a million things to do. Why don't you go home and get some rest.

David: Ok. I'll call you later.

Dorian: All right, darling. Bye.

Kelly: Hey. Kevin wants to see you in the sunroom.

Dorian: The sunroom? Why can't everyone just stay in the same place?

David: You ready to go?

Kelly: I can't go anywhere! Kevin is suspicious enough. I can't take off right before his mother goes into surgery!

David: Yeah, well, how is Kevin going to feel when the cops cart you away?

Kelly: David, look, I don't even remember where this place is, really. I was following Todd. It was dark.

David: You are stalling.

Kelly: It's too risky.

David: Look, my neck is on the line here, ok? I'm the killer.

Kelly: Yeah, I know. You killed my brother.

David: Yeah, and I sort of feel bad about that, but that's not going to bring him back. You -- Kelly, you and I have very happy, healthy, productive lives ahead of us, potentially. You can't back out on me now.

Kevin: Kelly, what's going on? Oh hey, hi.

Todd: Hey, Larry --

Larry: Yeah.

Todd: How long before they take her up for surgery?

Larry: As soon as we get her stabilized.

Todd: Couldn't that be too late?

Larry: Todd, look, I know you're anxious about here, and I love her, too. I'm going to promise you this -- she's going to get the very best personal care, because I am taking this one very personally.

Todd: Thank you.

Larry: It's going to be a couple more hours, so why don't you get some rest?

Todd: I rest when I'm dead.

Bo: Hey, Clint, Joey.

Clint: Oh, Bo. Glad you made it.

Bo: Joey.

Joey: Hey, Uncle Bo.

Bo: I'm sorry I didn't get here sooner. I was camping with Matthew. I didn't get the news till I got home. How's Viki? Pa, what is it?

Asa: It's about Ben. He's gone.

Bo: When? What -- what happened?

Renee: He knew -- he gave his life so that Viki could have a heart.

Clint: Viki needs a heart transplant, Bo, and apparently Benís heart is a perfect match.

Bo: Hey, pa, that was no kind of a life for a man like Ben. You know, he's going to be in a better place now.

Renee: This way a part of him will always be with us.

Joey: Yeah -- ahem -- we just got to pray that the operation goes ok and that her body doesn't reject Benís heart.

Viki: Ben --

Benís voice: I'm here, Blondie. I love you, and I'm looking out for you. You'll be ok. I'll make sure of it.

John: Your mom's about to go into surgery. Your family would like you over there.

Natalie: If I am not under arrest, I'm not staying here another second.

Kathryn: No, we're through here, but don't leave town.

John: Hey, wait. Wait. Give me one minute; I'll drive you over, ok? I'm sorry if that got a little rough.

Natalie: She's just showing off for you. I can handle it.

John: I know.

Natalie: You believe me, don't you, that I had nothing to do with this Paul thing, right?

John: Yeah. Just the evidence doesn't look so good.

Natalie: Then you're going to have to prove me innocent. I'm going to wait outside.

Kevin: Why are you upset?

Kelly: I --

David: It's a tough time for everybody.

Kevin: Yeah, I know that.

David: Yeah.

Kelly: Yeah, I -- I'm just upset about your mother.

David: She just needed a shoulder, so --

Kevin: Are you ok?

Kelly: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I think I'm going to go home and tuck Ace in, ok?

Kevin: All right. Give him a kiss for me. I'll be with my mom, all right?

Kelly: All right.

Kevin: Bye.

Kelly: You see? I can't! I can't do anything! We cannot go to the landfill. We just have to forget about this and just move on.

David: Kelly, I cannot take this chance. If you won't go with me, I will go by myself, but I've got to be sure!

Kelly: You're just going to mess everything up.

David: You tell me where that damn body is!

Kelly: I -- I don't even remember. It was -- it's a landfill. It's off the Atlantic City Expressway.

David: Which direction? West or east?

Kelly: West, west. And it's -- it's Middleton --

David: Middletown?

Kelly: Middletown. And the exit is Cherry --

David: Cherry Hill!

Kelly: Yes, yes. It's five miles down on the right.

David: Great, great.

Todd: What was that about, Kelly?

Blair: Hey, beautiful.

Starr: Hey.

Blair: You doing your homework? Where's Jack?

Starr: Sleeping. It's late.

Blair: Yeah, it is. It's probably time for you to head up to bed, too, isn't it?

Starr: Were you at the hospital today with dad? Is Aunt Viki ok?

Blair: Oh, baby, I'm not going to lie to you. She's very, very, very sick. But the doctors say they're really confident that she's going to be ok and is going to pull through this.

Starr: Dad must be so upset. I mean he loves her almost as much as he loves you.

Blair: Well, we just got to pray for her.

Starr: I want to pray for her.

Blair: Ok. That'd be lovely.

Starr: Dear God, help Aunt Viki be better. She's so nice to me. She never treated me like a kid. I love her so much, and my dad -- I don't know what he'd do without her. And I want my dad to be happy. I want both my parents to be happy. So, God, if you're listening, please help my mom and dad and my Aunt Viki. Amen.

Todd: What did he say? Does he know anything?

Kelly: I -- he's worried about Dorian and Viki, that's all.

Todd: You're a lousy liar.

Kelly: Stop it.

Todd: Do you want to go to prison? He's on to us, isn't he? What did you tell him?

Kelly: I didn't have to tell him anything. He already knows. He's the one who killed Paul.

Todd: So where was he going just now?

Kelly: He's going to the landfill. He wants to see where we hid the body.

Todd: You idiot!

Kelly: What?

Todd: Are you just stupid, or are you also crazy?

Kelly: What is the big deal? My God, I didn't do it! He's the guilty one!

Todd: The police don't know that! Vickers can manipulate evidence to make me look guilty.

Kelly: Well, what do you want me to do?

Todd: I don't want you to do anything. Just shut up, stay here, let me know if there's any news about Viki.

Kathryn: Are you going to take her to the hospital?

John: Yeah. You know, I got a couple of questions. I was wondering if we could hook up later.

Kathryn: Yeah, you know, it's not like it was when you were F.B.I., right? I can't tell you everything.

John: All right, so I'll keep it off the record, you know. I want to find out the truth as much as you do.

Kathryn: Don't make this personal.

Dorian: Mm-hmm.

Kelly: Oh, hi. I didn't know there was anyone in here.

Larry: Uh --

Dorian: Kelly, what is it? What's wrong?

Kelly: I -- I can't talk about it.

Dorian: That's nonsense. There's been something wrong for weeks, for months, really, and from the look of things, it's pretty serious.

Kelly: I can't handle it!

Dorian: No. Hey, you can tell me, whatever it is. I mean, if you can't trust your Aunt Dorian, who can you trust?

Kelly: I can't trust anyone.

Dorian: Kelly, come here. Tell me what it is. I promise you I'll help.

David: Ugh -- Ugh. Ok, Paul, where the hell are you?

Kelly: You're right. I've gotten myself in a mess that could destroy my marriage. It could destroy my life.

Dorian: Honey, tell me what it is.

Kelly: I can't --

Dorian: Yes!

Kelly: I can't tell anyone, it's too awful!

Dorian: You have to tell me! I mean, you know the family motto -- "we Cramer women always stick together." We can handle this. What is it?

Clint: Dorian, any word?

Dorian: Um -- I'll be right in, Clint. We're not finished. They're ready to go ahead as soon as they're given the ok.

Asa: What the hell are they waiting for?

Clint: Pa, calm down.

Bo: You're going to end up in a room right next to Vikiís.

Dorian: They need the latest blood work on Viki to come back from the lab. Pardon me. Kelly, wait!

Natalie: I didn't miss her, did I?

Jessica: Hey, no, no, no, no. It's all right. It's going to be a little while. But what happened? Antonio said you were at the police station.

John: Just some more questions for Paul Cramer. Nothing to worry about.

Jessica: Oh. Ok.

Natalie: How is she?

Jessica: Why don't you ask her yourself? Come on, she wants you.

Natalie: Ok.

Antonio: I got some more info on the Santi investigation. The bracelet in the picture your boys at the F.B.I. sent us?

John: Yeah?

Antonio: It's my motherís. She claims she was at the funeral to support Dorian. And I think there's more to it.

John: Kathryn's back in town. She's asking questions about the Cramer case.

Antonio: I thought they were done with that after San Diego.

John: Apparently, they think the Santi family's somehow involved in his disappearance.

Antonio: What? How?

John: I don't know all the details. I'm meeting her later to find out.

Antonio: Well, I'm going with you. It looks like Natalieís gotten herself into a real mess.

John: Yeah.

Natalie: Mom.

Viki: Hi.

Natalie: Hey.

Viki: Where did you go?

Natalie: It doesn't matter. I'm back now, and I am not leaving until you've had your surgery and I know you're ok.

Viki: You're my beautiful girls.

Renee: I can't bear the way this is affecting Asa.

Kevin: Hey --

[Renee sobs]

Larry: Excuse me, everybody. We're taking Viki up to be prepped. I thought you'd might like to be there.

Kevin: Yeah, it's Kevin. Is Kelly there? Really? Well, have her call me as soon as she walks in the door, all right? It's very important.

Todd: This makes sense -- Vickers, filth. What are you doing here?

David: What I'm doing here is none of your business, just like Kelly is none of your business. If you'll excuse me, I got work to do.

Todd: I think you're trying to find a way to mess up my life.

David: You know what? You don't need me to help you do that, Todd.

Todd: I'm not going to let you screw things up for me, Vickers, ok?

David: Back off!

Todd: Ah.

Kelly: Hey, hey, hey, hey, hey! Stop it. Stop it.

David: Hey --

Kelly: My new shoes!

Todd: Hey, Kelly --

Kelly: Oh, oh -- he's not here! This is a pillowcase! Where -- where's the blanket? Where's the body?

Todd: Wherever bozo the clown hid it.

David: I never even found Paulís body.

Todd: Well, I sure as hell didn't take it.

Kelly: Well, neither did I!

David: Then what the hell happened to it?

John: Hey. Thanks for coming down.

Antonio: Kathryn.

Kathryn: Hey. Can you excuse us? What's he doing here? This is supposed to be off the record.

John: I trust him. I thought we could all compare notes.

Kathryn: Don't make me regret this.

John: Ok. All right, so, what's the deal with Cramer now?

Kathryn: Ok, the F.B.I. couldn't care less about Cramer. What we're interested in is his connection to the Santi operation. The Koriakus brothers were the west coast distributors for the Santi family.

John: So who's running the east coast now that Santi's gone?

Kathryn: Well, apparently, there's a power struggle going on, but Santi stashed at least $100 million somewhere in Puerto Rico along with God knows what else -- jewelry, bank records, cocaine -- you name it.

John: So whoever gets that can buy a hell of a lot of influence.

Kathryn: Exactly. Also, Santi has a son. Now, we don't know for sure if he was involved in his father's drug-trafficking business, but now that Manny's dead, the agency thinks he could surface.

Antonio: I didn't even know Santi had a son.

Kathryn: Well, he goes by his father's real name -- Espinoza.

Antonio: Espinoza? That's my mother's maiden name.

Starr: Mom?

Blair: Yeah.

Starr: I love you.

Blair: Oh. I love you, too, baby.

[Doorbell rings]

Starr: Travis, what are you doing here?

Travis: I came to see you. I couldn't stay away.

Jessica: Hey, I love you mom.

Natalie: We'll see you soon, ok?

Kevin: I'm right here.

Joey: You'll be fine, mom.

Asa: Take care of her, Ben.

Ben's voice: I love you, Blondie. I'll be here when you wake up. You'll feel me with you. You'll feel my heart.

Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life To Live."

On the next "One Life To Live" --

Antonio: Tell me we're not related to one of the most notorious crime families in the world.

Jen: I miss you. Don't you ever think about me?

Kelly: I don't know what I would do without you.

Larry: Good job, Viki. You're almost home.
