One Life to Live Transcript Tuesday 5/7/04

Marcie: I wish it were time for me to go up to the roof.
Michael: Marcie --
Marcie: Maybe I should go up there now. What if the chopper is about to leave?
Michael: And what if you get arrested for trespassing?
Marcie: I work for the police. I'll just tell your brother, John, what I was doing. Oh, my gosh!
Michael: Marcie --
Marcie: I could actually help save people's lives!
Michael: You're not going anywhere.
Marcie: But, Michael --
Michael: You're not going anywhere. We're calling my brother, and we are going to give him everything that we have up to this point.
Viki: Starr is missing?
Natalie: Ok, mom, calm down.
Viki: Is this what you and Jessica were keeping from me?
Natalie: I'm sorry. Are you ok?
Viki: Yes, Iím fine. What happened?
Natalie: Maybe we should go sit down somewhere.
Viki: No, just tell me what happened.
Natalie: Starr ran away with some boy that she met on the Internet, and they found him --
Viki: But not Starr? Natalie.
Natalie: Mom, Iím sorry. Are you ok? Should I -- should I get a doctor?
Viki: No, darling, I don't need a doctor! I'm not an invalid. I'm the same as I was before.
Natalie: Well, I know that, but --
Viki: You know what? I've changed my mind. I'm not going home. I have some things to do here at the hospital. Don't wait for me, ok? I have somebody I need to talk to. I'll see you later. Goodbye.
John: The kidnapper freaked when he found out Bo was involved, so Manning tried to make the drop himself.
Nora: By himself, without backup?
John: No, Bo found out about it, and he organized a team to surround the drop site. Thanks.
Nora: You're a mess.
John: No respect.
Nora: What are you doing here?
Marianne: I found him in your room calling a taxi.
Matthew: Did you find Starr?
Nora: Where did you think you were going?
Matthew: Here. Marianne doesn't tell me anything.
Marianne: I'm sorry.
Nora: No, no.
Matthew: Where's Bo? Is he out saving Starr?
Bo: I've got a 20 on Manning. No sign of the kidnapper or the girl. Does anyone have a visual?
Laser: I didn't get a good look at your old man in the park. He here yet?
Starr: Right there.
Travis: I know Starrís here somewhere. The kidnapper said --
Todd: Shut up.
Travis: I just -- I care about Starr.
Todd: Get out of my sight.
Travis: I'm not going anywhere.
Todd: Do what you want. At least Blairís safe at home.
Rex: I'm good for it, man. Listen, you'll have your money as soon as my new place opens. What are you going to do, repossess my plumbing?
[Rock music plays]
Rex: What? How much? No, no, no, no, that's way too -- you know what? Never mind. I want those lights, ok?
[Rock music plays]
[Knock on door]
Rex: I'm not home!
Natalie: It's Nat. Bad day?
Rex: Something like that. Did you bring the money?
Natalie: You know, between you and Roxy, I feel like the neighborhood A.T.M.
Rex: I'm not like mom. Listen, she's playing the ponies. I'm building an empire.
Natalie: Oh, an empire, huh? Like Foxy Roxyís? You know, the two of you are messing up your lives.
Rex: Well, not everyone's life is as perfect as yours, sis.
John: Walking into a police station voluntarily -- this has got to be a first for you.
Paul: I gave my testimony to the grand jury in San Diego.
John: Yeah, I heard you sang like a little bird.
Paul: Well, that was the deal. And now it's over, so I'm here to tell your boss to tell you to back off.
John: Commissioner's busy, and I wouldn't count on him to help you, Cramer.
Paul: Stay out of my life, McBain.
John: I will. As soon as you come clean about what you're up to. Until then, just get used to it.
Nora: I never want you calling a taxi ever again, you understand?
Matthew: Why? Starr does that all the time.
Nora: Starr? If Starr jumped off a cliff, would you jump off after her? No, I don't think so. Do you remember what happened the last time you followed her example?
Matthew: I got kidnapped by Dr. Troy.
Matthew: But that's why it's so scary.
Nora: You mean, about Starr?
Matthew: I know what it's like. When I got kidnapped by Dr. Troy, he was my friend. I knew he wouldn't hurt me, but the guy who kidnapped Starr -- he might not be nice. What if he hurts her?
Laser: What did you just see?
Starr: My mom. She's here. She's the pretty lady with the blond hair. She's right there.
Laser: Who's that man with your mother?
Starr: Ouch! That really hurts!
Laser: It isn't your father. Who the hell is he?
Blair: Where's Starr?
Bo: Man, you shouldn't be here, Blair.
Blair: Ok, where's Todd? Where's the money?
Bo: It's right over there by that vending machine. What are you doing?
Blair: I came for my daughter. You would have done the same thing, Bo.
Bo: Manning just made the drop. All units stand by. I've got undercover cops all over this train station right now, but we don't know what the kidnapper looks like.
Blair: You think he's here?
Bo: Yeah, he's maybe watching us right now. Listen, I want you to walk away from me. Go over to Todd and that kid, and you get them out of here. This guy wants the money; we're going to wait him out.
Blair: What if he doesn't bring Starr?
Bo: I'll find Starr. Just get Todd out of here before he screws this whole thing up.
Laser: Who's your mom talking to?
Starr: How should I know?
Laser: Wrong answer.
Starr: I don't know who he is, I swear. You're paranoid! Get --
Laser: I've seen that guy before at your aunt's house. He's a cop.
Starr: No! No way. He's just some dope waiting for a train, ok? Why don't you go get it? Your money is right over there, $1 million. Why won't you go get it?
Todd: I'm here.
Laser: Yeah, but is the money with you?
Todd: Where's my daughter?
Laser: So close and yet so far.
Todd: All right, you got your money. What more do you want?
Laser: Leave right now.
Todd: I'm not leaving without her.
Laser: I'll call and tell you where to find her.
Todd: Starr, where are you?
Laser: Shorty's still alive for now.
Todd: You hurt my kid; I'm going to kill you.
Paul: Shouldn't you be out looking for Todd Manningís kid?
John: My point is Bo's not going to tell me to back off investigating someone we know is dirty.
Paul: Hmm. No, this is about Natalie.
John: No, this is about the chopper runs you're making from the hospital.
Paul: Well, that's what I do. That's why they hired me. I mean, it may look a little weird if I didn't make any runs, wouldn't it? I mean, face it McBain, you got nothing on me.
John: Wrong, again.
Marcie: It's like John said, ok? We don't have enough evidence to warrant a police investigation, Michael.
Michael: Isn't that what an investigation is for? To find evidence?
Marcie: Your brother already said no, ok? And if we want to find out what unspecified cargo is going on that chopper, then I have to do this.
Michael: The thing is -- before, you were trying to convince me to stop snooping because you didn't want me to get into any trouble.
Marcie: All right --
Michael: You didn't want anything to happen to me.
Marcie: Fine, Michael. What's your point?
Michael: Yeah, what about you? What if something was to happen to you, ok? I get a real bad feeling from this thing.
Marcie: Michael, listen to me --
Dorian: You will never guess what's happened.
Michael: What's wrong?
Dorian: Someone has stolen a donor heart.
Viki: Todd? Oh -- hi, Todd, it's Viki. Look, I just learned that Starr is missing, and I don't really know exactly what's going on. I just want you to know I hope you find her very quickly, and if there's anything at all I can do, please use that beeper that you gave me, ok, because I never go anywhere without it, ok? And take care, I guess. Bye. Hi. So how's he doing, huh?
Nurse: No change, but we're always hopeful.
Viki: Yeah, me, too. Thank you. Hi, darling. Oh, I'm sorry I'm visiting my troubles on you again. But you know what? At this point you're the only person I can talk to without having to censor myself. Ben, little Starr is missing somewhere in New York, and no one would tell me because of this damned heart condition of mine. They think Iím too frail to deal with my own feelings, for heaven's sakes. Honey, this is no life. My children won't tell me anything at all that they think might upset me because they think it's going to kill me. Frankly, Iíd rather battle my own heart than not be able to feel anything. I'm so scared for Starr, you know? I mean she's totally Toddís child. She's tough and she's fierce and she's funny. But she's got to be so scared. I mean I'm sure she's pretending not to be, you know, but -- sort of like me. Because that's what I keep doing.
Laser: Get out of here, or the deal is off.
Todd: Not until I see her.
Laser: Tell your daddy you're ok, but no funny stuff.
Todd: Starr, where are you? Tell me!
Starr: I'm with Laser.
Todd: Come on, honey. Just tell me, give me a clue.
Starr: I'd listen to Laser, ok? Just go back to Aunt Dorian's house.
Todd: I'm not leaving you until I know you're safe.
Laser: 10 seconds.
Starr: Ok, dad, don't worry about it, ok? Someone will come and follow him, and then they'll catch him, ok? Don't worry about it -- and then Iíll come home!
Laser: Who's going to catch me?
Starr: What are you --?
Starr: I didn't mean anything by it, I swear! Please don't hurt me!
Laser: He's a cop, isn't he? Isn't he?
Blair: Come on; let's get out of here. Come on.
Todd: What are you doing here?
Blair: Come on, just leave the money and let's go! Bo will get Starr.
Todd: Bo? You brought the cops?
Blair: He found out about it. Please, just do what the kidnapper said. We've got to get out of here!
Todd: I'm not leaving her!
Blair: Come on, Todd!
Todd: Wait a minute.
Todd: She said somebody's going to follow this guy and get him. She must have meant Bo. She must have seen him, which means the kidnapper might have seen him, too.
Blair: Well, if she saw him that means she's here!
Todd: That's right.
Blair: Well, come on!
Laser: He's a cop, isn't he?
Starr: No, no. I was just trying to talk the way kidnapped kids talk on TV! I meant nothing by it, I swear!
Laser: You were trying to tell him something.
Starr: No -- tell him what you told him to do. What's the matter with you? The money's right over there. Why don't you just wait till they leave and go get it?
Laser: Because it's a setup, and I don't like when people try to set me up.
Rex: You sure you don't want something stronger?
Natalie: Ha! No, it's a little too early -- not that it's not tempting. My life is crazy right now. Mom is sick. Oh, yeah, and Paul Cramer wants to take me on a tropical spree.
Rex: You going?
Natalie: I don't know. I mean, he's fun, but --
Rex: He's not the guy.
Natalie: Cristian was the guy.
Rex: Maybe there's more than one.
Natalie: Anyway, my point is that I -- I got too much on my plate right now to be worrying about you having some bill collector come and break your legs.
Rex: I'm handling it.
Natalie: With my money.
Rex: Uh, this was just a loan, all right? This restaurant's costing me three times as much as I planned. I wanted to be up and running by now, but this lousy contractor is dragging his heels. And on top of it all, Roxy needed money.
Natalie: How much?
Rex: More than I could afford. Well, she was so freaked out; I gave it to her anyway.
Natalie: Rex, next time just please send her to me, ok?
Rex: I'll have to. The well is dry. Listen, you sure you don't want some? It's the best.
Natalie: Hmm, let me guess -- Lindsay Rappaport is a wine expert.
Rex: You know, so am I.
Natalie: I just never figured you for the hot-mama type.
Rex: Look, Lindsayís great. We have a good time.
Rex: She's not Jen.
Natalie: Oh, my God, you have totally lost it! You realize those two are a mother-daughter disaster area.
Rex: Maybe Lindsay is, a little.
Rex: I am not going there with you, Nattie. You can't be objective about Jen.
Natalie: Well, at least I am thinking above my waist.
Rex: But you don't know Jen, ok? She was kind of lost for a while.
Natalie: A while?
Rex: Yeah, and she got over it. Now I'm the one who's lost.
Natalie: Yeah. Yeah, you're a total idiot whenever she comes around. You know, I've never seen you act that way before. In fact, I never thought Iíd ever see you beg for anything or anyone.
Rex: Wait, wait, wait -- I'm done groveling, all right? She doesn't want to be with me -- fine, Iíll leave her alone. Which makes me feel even worse.
Natalie: I am proud of you, you know? I mean, look at everything you've accomplished since you came to Llanview. You got the club, this apartment --
Rex: And I'd give it all up if I could be with Jen again.
Natalie: God, she is not worth it.
Rex: Yes, she is, ok? And don't tell me that Iím crazy, all right, because you're the one that's kissing Paul Cramer when you're really in love with John McBain.
Paul: You just want me out of the picture so you can keep Natalie on a string, right?
John: Unfortunately, Paul, I don't have time for this outpouring.
Paul: John, I'm in love with Natalie.
John: Congratulations. But we all know what you're really in love with is her inheritance, and if you knew her better, you'd realize she doesn't care about that.
Paul: This whole "cop" thing is an act, right? Something you can hide behind so you don't have to show your real feelings? Well, this time it's not going to work -- if you want to win, anyway.
Matthew: Bo's going to find Starr, isn't he?
Daniel: Hey. Oh, hey, kiddo. How's it going?
Matthew: Starr's missing.
Daniel: Yeah, yeah, I know. You know, and the L.P.D. really appreciates you being here to help out.
Daniel: But you know what? You got to keep your strength up. Now, this is what all the cops eat.
Matthew: Can I?
Nora: What do you say?
Matthew: Thanks, Mr. Colson.
Daniel: You're welcome. Any word? You know, you must be really worried about your friend, huh? Don't be. I've heard all about how smart Starr Manning is.
Matthew: Smarter than me, even.
Daniel: Oh, well, I don't know about that. Remember when Troy MacIver had you? You were incredibly smart and incredibly brave. You got away and you got back home all by yourself.
Matthew: Well, Starrís not scared of anything.
Daniel: Well, that's good. That means she'll be able to take care of herself just like you.
Matthew: Do you think he's right?
Nora: He's the District Attorney.
Daniel: I think Starr is going to be just fine.
Matthew: I'm hungry. Can I have another one?
Nora: Come on, Iíll help you open it.
Laser: I've seen that guy before. He's got to be a cop. Why hasn't he gotten on the train yet?
Starr: I'm telling you there are no cops here. Now, are you keeping an eye on the money?
Laser: Why'd you tell your dad "someone" would catch me?
Starr: Because someone will. You're not important, but I am. And if you don't let me go soon, my dad's going to hunt you down and squeeze you like a python until your guts come out of your mouth!
Blair: Starr! Starr!
Laser: Quiet. We're getting out of here. But if you do anything to get me caught, I'll kill you and your parents. Understand?
Laser: Let's go.
P.A. Announcer: Wilmington, Baltimore, Washington, Alexandria, Manassas, Culpepper, Charlottesville, Salisbury, Charlotte, and all points --
Starr: Dad! Dad, help me!
Dorian: An accident victim was brought into the emergency room. He died on the operating table. His driver's license said he was a donor, so the usual procedures took place. He was put on life support, and the team came in to harvest the organs.
Marcie: Harvest? That sounds a little --
Michael: No, it's a very respectful process, truly.
Dorian: Only in this case, a heart had already been taken out.
Marcie: You're kidding me. Someone came in, cut out the heart, and then just walked out with it.
Michael: It's Long, I know it.
Dorian: He has been very protective of those donor files.
Michael: Yeah, he's guilty as sin.
Dorian: Yeah. But we need proof.
Marcie: Well, I'll get it. I mean, I don't know how Iíll get it, but I'll find it.
Michael: Well, let's think about this, ok? Now, a heart can't stay alive outside the body for very long. It's got to be kept cool, and it's got to be kept in a special solution.
Marcie: Yeah, which means it's probably inside of that helicopter that's about to take off right now, Michael.
Michael: It's possible, but I think that we should really think this through.
Marcie: Michael, come on.
Dorian: And we have to proceed very, very carefully, because if Dr. Long is so depraved that he's stealing organs, who knows what he's going to do if somebody finds out.
Michael: You think maybe we should call the cops?
Dorian: You know, sometimes, if you want something done fast, you just have to do it yourself.
Nora: Hey. Any word from Bo?
John: No, nothing yet. That drop was supposed to go down over an hour ago.
Nora: Who's doing this?
John: I don't know. I know the guy's street name -- Laser. Yeah, Laser. I guess when you get turned down by the American Gladiators, you're forced to turn to a life of petty crime. But he's never pulled anything this big before.
Nora: That's a good thing, right?
John: Maybe. But with some of these guys, if something goes wrong, they don't know how to handle it.
Nora: We need to talk to you a little bit about Starr.
Matthew: Is she ok?
Nora: Well, yeah, I mean, you know, her parents are -- they're quarreling a little bit here, you know? And it's really hard on Starr. I know you like her.
Bo: And, Matthew, you know, we need you to be strong about this, ok? Are you strong? Let's see. All right, look -- seriously, you can't do anything that Starr asks you to do that you know is wrong.
Nora: That's Starr or anyone else for that matter, ok?
Matthew: Do you know my dad?
Daniel: Sure, sure, we work together.
Matthew: You know that he and my mom used to be married?
Daniel: So Iíve heard.
Matthew: Are you married?
Daniel: No. No. Not anymore. Why?
Matthew: Just wondering.
Daniel: I have a son. He's a lot older than you. His name's Riley.
Matthew: Oh, yeah, I know Riley from when Flash lived with us. He's a good guy.
Daniel: Yeah, he's not so bad.
Matthew: Are you as nice to him as Bo is to me?
Daniel: Well, when he was your age, I wasn't that nice of a dad, but I'm trying to do better.
Man: What the hell? That's my beer!
Blair: Oh, Todd! Oh! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Stop it! Get away! Get off! Todd!
Officer: Hey, what's going on? Break this up! Hey, break it up!
Bo: They're headed -- South Entrance. Girl, red hat, white male, 5'10", early 20s.
Roxy: Wow. This is better than the entertainment in Atlantic City. Man, I hope I have enough cash for a cab.
Starr: You're hurting me!
Roxy: Oh, good! All right!
Officer: Get up!
Man: Get off me, man!
Officer: All right!
Man: Get her off me!
Blair: Todd? Todd? Todd?
Viki: You know, my children -- they treat me as if I'm going to die at any minute. I mean I know they're afraid. I'm afraid, too. I pretend not to be and I try really hard not to be, but I am really scared. You know, I just came back from a conference in Chicago, and no one there knew I was sick. So they treated me as if, you know, as if I was still the same as I always was -- a leader, powerful and interesting and strong. Not somebody whose heart is falling apart. But I was terrified the whole time. I was so afraid to -- to laugh too loudly or debate a point, get upset, or -- or even stay out late. I hate it. I hate it. I hate having to think before I can feel. And I keep thinking I wouldn't be so afraid if you were here. I need you, Ben, I need you. I have to tell you, sometimes, sitting here with you; I think it would be just so easy to just let go. I feel like I could just let my heart fill up with all the love that I feel for you until it just explodes, takes me away from here.
Dorian: No, Viki. You can't leave us.
Marcie: I found this in the room down the hall.
Michael: Marcie, I really don't want you doing this. You know what? Why don't we call my brother, you know? That heart's got to be around here somewhere. You know, it's got to be kept cool; it's got to be kept in a special solution.
Marcie: Yes, yes, I know, and we'll call your brother John when we find out the proof, ok? Come on, you're a doctor. You get to save lives every day.
Michael: Not lately.
Marcie: Well, you will again. Oh, come on, listen; Iím just a silly little college kid. I have no direction in life, and it doesn't matter if I mess my life up.
Michael: Stop that right now, ok? You're smart, you're funny, and you're beautiful, and you turned my life around.
Marcie: Michael, please.
Michael: Listen, before I met you, saving lives to me was just sort of a -- it was a job, you know? It was a challenge. Sort of a competition with God. None of the patients that I was treating meant anything to me at the time. You taught me to see those people.
Marcie: I know, and that's what Iím going to do this for. It's for those people. You know that you would do this if you weren't stuck here. Come on. Have a little faith in me? I'm not going to let anything happen to me, I promise.
Michael: Well, what if something does happen to you?
Marcie: Nothing's going to happen. I won't let it. I promise, ok?
Natalie: So what exactly happens when Lindsay finds out that you're not in love with her?
Rex: Lindsay's cool.
Natalie: Yeah, right.
Rex: It's a sex thing. The sex is unbelievable.
Natalie: Oh, gross.
Rex: She's -- she's a great lady, and she bailed me out when I couldn't make my first loan payment to R.J.
Natalie: You couldn't make your first payment?
Rex: I've got the money.
Natalie: Hold on, Rex, what are you doing borrowing money from R.J., anyway?
Rex: Look, it's fine. As soon as my new place opens, I'll pay him off.
Natalie: My God. Ok, R.J. and Lindsay are in business together. How do you know that you can even trust either one of them?
Rex: Ahem. Well, did it ever occur to you to not trust some skeeve flyboy who blows into your life and then wants to run off with you?
[Knock on door]
Roxy: I'm so glad you're not at your sugar mama's. Got any available cash?
Rex: Welcome home.
Roxy: Yeah. Yeah, thanks.
Natalie: You need more money?
Roxy: I was just joking about that. Because I just did the makeup for this hot show in Atlantic City. You know, the full Monty and the glitter in all the right places.
Natalie: Spare me.
Roxy: You know, by the way, you could use a little glitz, too. How about a makeover? I'll give you insider price.
Natalie: No. No. I'm not in the mood for it.
Roxy: Oh, come on! Honey! Every girl needs a little ha-cha-cha. Oh, my God! What is this?
Todd: You heard from Bo, yet?
Officer: There's been nothing on the radio.
Blair: All right.
Todd: I'm going to find that son of a bitch myself.
Blair: Here --
Officer: No, I'm sorry. I've been ordered to keep the three of you here.
Blair: Would you let the cops do their job, Todd? Here, put this on your face right there. Just hold it right there. We were so close.
Todd: She looked ok.
Blair: Yeah. Hold it right there.
Todd: You really screwed up this time, didn't you?
Bo: There's more than one reason that exchange went bad. Right now we have to concentrate on Starr.
Blair: I think she looked afraid.
Todd: So what do we do?
Bo: The guy didn't get the money. He'll call back, so you keep your cell phone on, have everything ready. Starr's going to be ok.
Blair: Let me see your face. It's got blood all over it, Todd.
Blair: That's makeup!
Todd: Where's the money?
Laser: I didn't even get the money. You're not worth the trouble anymore, kid.
Starr: What's that supposed to mean?
Laser: You're a smart girl. Figure it out.
Michael: Be careful, Marcie. Please.
Paul: What are you doing on the helicopter pad?
Roxy: I found it. I found a million dollars. I've been waiting my whole life for something like this to happen! Yeah!
Rex: I won't be needing this anymore.
Natalie: Ok, the both of you stop. You cannot keep this money. All right, you're going to have to take it to the cops.
Roxy: Oh, no. Over my dead body.
Natalie: That's exactly what Iím talking about, Roxanne. Ok, nobody leaves this kind of money just lying around. They're going to send someone after you.
Roxy: How? I didn't even know that I took it.
Natalie: Ok, ok, keep it. Keep it.
Natalie: Yeah. Actually, here, here. Take this. Why don't you go buy us a nice, pretty bottle of champagne and we'll celebrate.
Roxy: Oh, man. Ok, cold duck for everybody. I'll be right back.
Rex: What are you doing?
Natalie: I'm packing this money up, and we're taking it to the cops.
Rex: Natalie, this was found money. It was meant to happen.
Natalie: You really are desperate, aren't you? Look, Rex, look at me, ok? If you need money, you've got it. I'll give you more.
Rex: It's not like that, ok? I made a huge investment.
Natalie: Save it. I am your sister. I will not let you crash and burn. I promise.
Roxy: Hey, hey, no, in my excitement, I left my purse here. You know, they card me sometimes. Where's the money? Rex, where is that money?
Rex: Natalie took it.
John: Hey, how'd it go?
Bo: Not good. Todd and Blair -- they spotted Starr, but the kidnapper -- he spotted them, panicked, and he dragged Starr out of there. We lost her.
John: Did you get a look at the guy?
Bo: Yeah. Yeah, I'm going to call the NYPD, see if it's the guy they think he is. But Starr did seem ok, you know? That little girl knows how to put up a fight.
John: Yeah. I'm not sure that's such a good thing in this case.
Bo: Well, if it were Matthew, I'd hope that he would fight like hell.
Matthew: Got any queens?
Daniel: Go fish.
Matthew: I thought you were going to let me win.
Daniel: Oh, is that the way we play at your house?
Nora: No, it's not the way we -- don't let him fool you. That's not it.
Bo: Does this mean you're going to be an astronaut?
Matthew: No, not an astronaut. I'm going to be a cop like you.
Matthew: Do they have bad guys in outer space?
Bo: Oh, sure. In outer space you can hear them coming. It's like --
[Bo makes breathing sounds]
Matthew: So you can be the Commissioner in Llanview and I'll be the Commissioner in the Universe.
John: What's wrong?
Natalie: Roxy just found a million dollars. She said she found it at the train station.
John: This is the ransom for Starr Manning.
Natalie: Oh, my God. If this is here, the money's here -- then where's Starr? John, what happened? Why didn't the kidnapper take the money?
John: It's ok. It's going to be ok.
Viki: Any news on Starr?
Viki: I feel very powerless, you know.
Dorian: Well, certainly you shouldn't lose hope. You're supposed to be the strong one.
Viki: Dorian, she's a little girl.
Dorian: A very extraordinary little girl.
Viki: You know you were eavesdropping on a very private moment.
Dorian: Good thing.
Viki: Maybe. So you really have heard nothing at all?
Dorian: I just got a phone call from Blair. Apparently, there's been some sort of foul-up with the ransom drop.
Viki: Ransom? You mean Starr was kidnapped?
Dorian: Some monster is holding her in New York, wants a million dollars. I put up half of the ransom, but -- oh --
Dorian: Oh, I'm so sorry. I should not have said anything. Just hold on. Keep -- just breathe deeply.
Dorian: Hold on, hold on. Nurse, quickly. We need a doctor! Stat! Get that in here.
Dorian: Doctor! Damn. Here you go.
Todd: I'll get more money. When the kidnapper calls, we'll be ready.
Blair: What if he took the money, Todd?
Todd: He didn't take the money. He had a hold of Starr. He was nowhere near it.
Blair: What if he took it with him when we weren't looking? He could kill her. He could kill her anyway, Todd.
Laser: Your parents are hell bent on bringing in the cops. Can't call them again. Lines will be tapped. And you can identify me. I'm screwed either way. Unless --
Starr: Unless what?
Laser: Sorry, kid. I'm going to have to get rid of you.
On the next "One Life To Live" --
Dorian: I wish I had not told you all those things about Starr.
Natalie: Do you think that Starr actually has a chance?
John: All I know is the exchange at the train station didn't go too well.
Travis: Starr's ok. She has to be. I love her!
Laser: Hi, mom. Still want your kid back?
