TV Announcer: If you've seen them, please call this number immediately. A statewide Amber Alert has been issued for Starr Manning, age 13, and Travis OíConnell, age 15.

Todd: Hi. Is this Mercy Hospital? Yes, I'm looking for my child. She's missing. Her name is Starr Manning. She's 4'8" she's got shoulder-length blond hair. Has anyone fitting that description been admitted in the last two days? There has? There has.

Blair: Oh, God.

Todd: All right.

Travis: Starr? Starr! Starr, where are you?

John: Hey. Good thing I finally caught up with you.

Natalie: Why? So you can trash Paul some more?

John: No, no. Don't you remember? You agreed to be my partner in the pool tournament today. You know, it's a good cause. The Widows' and Children's Fund.

Natalie: Hmm. I made that promise so long ago, I -- it's before --

John: Before what? Before Kathryn?

Natalie: I didn't say anything.

John: No, but you were thinking it. Ok, maybe I should have told you she was Caitlinís sister.

Natalie: No. John, don't be silly. I love being an idiot.

John: What do you want me to say, Natalie, you know? What do you want me to say? That's not how I am.

Natalie: Ok. How about you tell me what other secrets you're having or you're keeping from me, partner?

John: You know what, Natalie? Cut the crap. You want to know something? Why don't you just ask me?

Paul: Where's my 64,000, hmm? I mean I get it back at the end of the case, right? Technically, it's mine.

Kathryn: You stole it from the mob, remember?

Paul: No, no. That money's long gone. The money you took from me was new money to pay them back.

Kathryn: Congratulations. I think that's the most twisted rationalization I think I've ever heard. How did a rat like you come up with all that cash anyway?

Kevin: Kelly? What are you doing? I just told you to stay there.

Kelly: I -- I -- I thought I heard Ace crying. Why aren't you at the station with Asa?

Kevin: Because we need to talk.

Kelly: About what?

Kevin: About the transfer from B.E. to our personal account.

Kelly: That is not important right now. You need to go to the police station for your grandpa.

Kevin: No. I know, all right? I know you authorized the transfer. What I need to know is why.

Bo: I did talk to a friend of mine at the NYPD, and there's still no sign of Starr.

Nora: Oh, God. Poor Blair. I remember what it was like when Matthew was gone.

Bo: Yeah, but Matthew found his way back home, you know? He was fine.

Nora: I know. I still remember what it felt like. Blair must be in agony.

Bo: No, Toddís with her.

Nora: Is that supposed to make her feel better?

Bo: Hmm. You know, Starr -- she's a bright kid. She's resourceful, you know? I think she's going to be ok.

Nora: Not necessarily.

Bo: You know, she's really angry at her parents for breaking up, so maybe she's trying to get back at them.

Nora: Well, you know what? It would be just like Starr to hide out for a few days to make a point.

Bo: Hmm. Well, I got to show up for a little bit at that pool tournament. You want to come?

Nora: I canít. I have a date. I mean it's not a date date. I'm just, you know -- well, I'm having lunch with someone. I mean, we're just eating at the same time -- together.

Bo: Yeah.

Nora: I mean, let's just not make anything more of this than it is, ok? It's just -- it is just eating.

Daniel: Hey, ready?

Nora: Yeah, yeah. Let's go. That's -- that's good.

Daniel: Bo.

Asa: Why the hell can't you concentrate on real criminals, Bo, and leave your old man alone?

Evangeline: Your father just made bail.

Asa: She's pretty damn good.

Evangeline: Well, I'm going to have to be better than good to get you off on those charges.

Asa: What the hell am I paying you for, hmm?

Bo: You know, you're lucky you even made bail, that the judge granted you bail. You point a gun at a reporter -- not once -- twice.

Asa: If that bottom feeder ever comes near my company and my home again, I'm not going to be waving the damn gun. I'm going to pull the damn trigger, hmm?

Kelly: I can explain this. I -- I didn't mean to move that much money around. I -- I pressed the wrong button, and then I couldn't put it back.

Kevin: Well, how'd you get my password? I didn't give it to you.

Kelly: I know you pretty well. It wasn't that hard to figure out.

Kevin: Oh.

Kelly: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Please, are you angry?

Kevin: Am I angry? Am I angry? Yeah, I'm angry! I could go to jail, Kelly. I could lose my job, not to mention the embarrassment of having everyone work around the clock trying to figure out who the hacker is, when all the time it was you. And you know what the worst part is? You knew I was blaming Todd for it, and you insisted that he didn't do it. Oh, man, that was great! How many times did you lie to me, Kelly? Why did you lie to me?

Kelly: I'm sorry. Kevin, I'm sorry.

Kevin: Oh, you know what? I just want to know what the hell's going on, all right? Why don't you tell me the truth? I don't even know what to tell the company. What am I going to tell the company?

Kelly: I'll talk to them. I'll talk to them. I'll take full responsibility. I'll talk to the Accounting Department, and I'll admit what I did.

Kevin: Oh, really? What are you going to say, huh? Please, tell me -- why did you steal $64,000?

Kelly: It was a loan. I -- it wasn't for me. It was a loan.

Kevin: All right, then. Who was it for?

Paul: Doesn't matter where I got the money. If you had let me pay the bad boys back, I wouldn't be in this mess. But, no, no, no, McBain had to be the big hero.

Kathryn: I saved your butt.

Paul: I had an exit strategy. I'm not as dumb as you think.

Kathryn: If you say so. You did the smart thing taking the deal. Once you testify, you're free and clear.

Paul: And dead. What, did you think the Koriakus brothers can't put out a contract from behind bars, huh?

Kathryn: If we have to, we can make you disappear.

Paul: Not if I disappear first.

Todd: I'm calling all the hospitals.

Blair: I actually wanted it to be Starr at the hospital. I mean I didn't want her to be hurt. I --

Todd: I understand. You just wanted to know.

Blair: Our little girl is out there, Todd. She's all alone. She's just a little girl. She still sleeps with stuffed animals.

Todd: Blair, wherever she is, I'm sure she's not afraid.

[Knock on door]

Todd: Hi, Mrs. OíConnell.

Blair: Hi.

Mrs. OíConnell: I was going to call first, but --

Todd: Have you heard from them?

Mrs. OíConnell: No, but I found something that might help.

Starr: Hey.

Travis: Where were you? I was really scared.

Starr: I got my pictures taken, so you'd have something to remember me by.

Travis: Well, what do you mean, remember you?

Starr: I have to go.

Travis: What?

Mrs. OíConnell: I found these emails in Travis' closet. They've obviously been corresponding for a while.

Blair: Did you read them?

Mrs. OíConnell: I glanced through some of them. They're very personal.

Todd: "No one understands me, especially my parents."

Mrs. OíConnell: I've got to get to work. Excuse me. Here's my cell phone number. Please, call me if you find anything that can help.

Blair: All right.

Mrs. OíConnell: I want my boy back.

Blair: Thank you.

Todd: Hey, Blair, listen to this -- "escaping to another planet sounds like a good idea. If I come to New York, will you take me to that famous planetarium?" Hayden Planetarium?

Travis: Look, you can't go. We haven't gone to the planetarium yet. I told you I'd take you there, remember?

Starr: I don't know.

Travis: Do you want to go home? It's ok if you want to.

Starr: I don't know. I mean, I want my mom and dad back together, but it's never going to happen. So what's the point? I mean I'm just going to be mad for the rest of my life?

Travis: Look, you can't go off alone. You don't know the city.

Starr: I'm just slowing you down.

Travis: No, you're not. Look, we made a plan to travel across the country together. I really want you to come with me.

Starr: I never had a friend like you before.

Travis: Me, neither. So what do you say?

Starr: I'm ready when you are.

Travis: But there's something I want to show you first.

Jen: So it's only a rough cut, but it is going to be great.

Riley: Couldn't you get, like, Brad Pitt to play me or something?

Jen: No, too old.

Rex: Oh, for a guy whose girlfriend was the heart and soul of the band, you sure enjoy being front and center.

Riley: Would you mind your own business?

Jen: Riley --

Rex: Is that any way to talk to your boss?

Jen: For your information, I had to work really hard to convince Riley to sing lead.

Rex: Yes, I know how persuasive you can be.

Lindsay: Why don't we get a table?

Rex: So how many times have you watched that? You must really enjoy watching yourself.

Jen: It's not his. It's mine. It's a project for my film class.

Lindsay: Well, I'm just glad you could find something that you enjoy.

Jen: Yeah, I wish I could say the same for you.

Rex: I'm starving. You?

Natalie: Ok, what goes on between you and Kathryn is none of my business.

John: Very true, but it seems to bother you.

Natalie: It's no big deal. I can get used to it. Fine. Talk.

John: Kathryn and I worked together.

Natalie: "Worked"?

John: The F.B.I. We were partners on some big cases. We both loved Caitlin. When she was killed, we went through that together. We don't talk about it. It's just -- it's there. It's a history.

Natalie: I'm sorry. I know that -- I know that I've been demanding lately.

John: Forget about it. Forget about it. Look, are we cool?

Natalie: If you hand over that ball.

John: Well, if you don't want to be my partner in this thing today --

Natalie: Oh, stop. If I'm not your partner, you're only going to humiliate yourself. Hand it over.

John: Oh, quickly for the round, all right? Let's do this thing.

Kelly: I took the money for a friend. He was in trouble, and he didn't want anyone to know about it. And by the time I had the cash, he had worked his problem out on his own, so I put the money back into our personal account, and then you put it back into B.E., and now everything's fine.

Kevin: Well, it's not that simple. B.E.'s been under investigation for months now. You know what happened to the guy at Tyco.

Kelly: I will go public. I will admit to the public that I did this.

Kevin: No, you won't! I'll handle it! First, I need to know who the friend is. Is it Todd?

Kelly: Todd?

Kevin: Well, you used to hate him. Now you're his biggest friend.

Kelly: Oh, please. Come on.

Kevin: Listen to me, you tell me the truth. I want to know right now.

Kelly: I'm being blackmailed. I needed the money to pay someone off.

Kevin: What kind of secret do you have that's worth $64,000? You tell me right now. Who the hell's blackmailing you?

Kelly: Nick Carson.

Kevin: The guy you had an affair with in Texas?

Kelly: He -- he still had a copy of that tape, and he was going to sell it to the highest bidder, so I went to Todd because I thought that he had the only copy and that he had destroyed it, and he offered to help me.

Kevin: Why?

Kelly: I don't know, Kevin. I don't know. I -- it doesn't matter anyway, because I told Nick to go to hell, and I put the money back. I'm sorry. I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I'm ashamed of myself. I'm sorry.

Kevin: Ok. Ok. Listen, I'm glad you didn't give in to him, all right? Because if you do, it never stops. Listen, why didn't you come to me?

Paul: Hey. Look, I'm sorry to interrupt. The maid let me in.

Kevin: Yeah, Paul. Now's not really a good time.

Paul: I just wanted to say I'm leaving and goodbye.

Natalie: Yeah!

Lindsay: Those are my favorite, but they're more expensive.

Rex: Oh, I don't care how much it costs. I want the best.

Lindsay: You know you've been wearing a lot of designer suits lately and buying the best bottles of wine. A girl might think that you're trying to impress her.

Rex: I hope it's working.

Lindsay: Ugh, what are those two doing together all the time?

Rex: That's a good question.

Nora: Thank you. I'm worried about Starr.

Daniel: You know, the NYPD's on it. They'll find her. Besides, you have something to celebrate.

Nora: Yes, I do. I want to thank you very much for dropping the ridiculous investigation about the bribery against me.

Daniel: Well, there was no evidence. Besides, Nora, you know, even though I like you a lot, the law comes first with me.

Nora: I know. Me, too.

Daniel: We have to shake on it.

Man: Thousands of kids pass the planetarium every day. Another two could easily go unnoticed.

Todd: Not Starr. She leaves a very strong impression.

Blair: Yeah.

Man: I understand that, Mr. Manning.

Todd: Don't you talk down to me.

Blair: Look; he's just trying to do his job, Todd. Come on.

Todd: How can he do his job when he doesn't know what he's looking for?

Blair: Todd, stop. See, this is --

Todd: She's a lot smarter than you and more clever than you.

Blair: Todd, please.

Todd: She likes reptiles, she likes iguanas, she likes snakes. I think you should check the zoo. I think you should check the --

Blair: She's very, very smart.

Man: I'll follow these up.

Todd: I think you should check the Natural History Museum. I think you should check the aquarium. She likes sharks.

Man: I'll follow these up.

Todd: Ok. I want to come with you.

Blair: No. Look, we have to be here in case Starr calls. What if she comes back and we're not here?

Man: I'll let you know what we turn up.

Blair: Thank you.

Man: Someone from the department will get into contact with you.

Blair: Thank you.

Todd: I think maybe you should get some sleep.

Blair: I can't sleep, all right? I canít. I'm worried about Starr. Why don't you -- why don't you take a nap or something?

Todd: Yeah, ok.

[Phone rings]

Blair: It's Dorian.

Todd: Oh, maybe she's home.

Blair: Hey, what's up? No. No. I thought maybe you were calling to tell me that you'd heard from her. What? Ok, well, I'll tell Todd. Sorry. Bye.

Todd: What happened?

Blair: $2,500 are missing from Dorianís safe, and she thinks Starr took it.

Todd: If that's true, then Starr has money.

Blair: Well, do you know how far she can go on $2,500, huh?

Todd: That means she's not going to starve. She's a smart kid. She'll use it wisely. She'll stay safe.

Starr: The buildings look really pretty from here.

Travis: Yeah. But you don't want to be here at night. Look here.

Starr: What is it?

Travis: Just put it on.

Starr: Why?

Travis: Just do it. Look, it's said that if two people stand here and pledge to be true to each other and then drop their rings in the water, they'll be bonded forever.

Starr: Really?

Travis: Yeah, sure.

Starr: That's really cool, but do you really think that anybody could be bonded forever?

Travis: We can try, right?

Starr: Ok. Now what?

Travis: Here, give me your pack.

Travis: Ready?

Starr: Is that it?

Travis: Well, we're supposed to seal it with a kiss, but, you know --

Starr: Ok.

Travis: Are you sure?

Starr: I want to do this right. I guess that seals it.

Travis: Yeah, I guess so.

Starr: Oh, gosh.

Travis: What?

Starr: I forgot my backpack. Oh, my gosh, Travis --

Travis: Wait here, wait here.

Bo: It's not the old west, pa. You don't just run around threatening people with guns.

Evangeline: Excuse me. But I just managed to convince the D.A.'s office to grant you a speedy trial, which means we have to start preparing your defense. I'll call you later.

Asa: Self-defense, pure and simple.

Evangeline: The reporter's weapon was a pen. That's not very effective against the kind of firepower you were packing.

Bo: This isn't a joke. This is serious, pa. You're in serious trouble.

Evangeline: No more threats, verbal or otherwise. I'll call you later.

Bo: I can't get you out of this one. If all those stories that have been in the paper recently about money being moved all around, you better get ready to be investigated by the Feds.

Kelly: All right.

Paul: Kelly, I'm going on a trip, and I need some more money.

Kelly: I am not an A.T.M. machine.

Paul: Well, you're rich.

Kelly: No, Paul. I used to be rich. I inherited a chunk of change once upon a time, and I gave most of it to charities. I lost the rest of it in the stock market. I'm pretty much broke.

Paul: Well, you married wealthy.

Kelly: That's Kevinís money. I've already stolen from him once. I am not doing it again.

Paul: Kelly, then get it from Dorian, all right? I don't care. But if you don't help me out, Kevin and I are going to have a little heart-to-heart about Ace's paternity.

Kelly: You swore you would never use that against me again.

Paul: Well, things change. If you don't help me out, I'm dead, Kelly.

Kelly: Here, take it. You said you could sell it for maybe 10,000.

Paul: I thought this meant so much to you.

Kelly: My son means more, ok?

Paul: I haven't sunk that low yet. I'll find the money somewhere else.

Kevin: Everything all right? For a minute there, I thought that maybe Paul was the friend you were talking about giving the stolen money to.

Kelly: What?

Kevin: Yeah, that would explain why you've been acting so weird around him.

Kelly: No, I -- I'm sorry I lied to you. Can you forgive me?

Kevin: Oh, of course, sweetie, of course. You see here's the problem that I'm having. Why do you think that Nick Carson would ask you for money now?

Kelly: Maybe he didn't need it until now.

Kevin: Or maybe someone put him up to it, say, Todd Manning, maybe?

Kelly: Kevin --

Kevin: No, no, think about this. See, I'm just trying to turn it around in my head here, because Toddís the one who published article after article about the financial misdeeds of B.E., and he probably was hoping you'd do exactly what you did.

Kelly: He was trying to help me.

Kevin: Well, then, there was something in it for him.

Kelly: Like what?

Kevin: I don't know. I'll tell you what, sweetie, I'm sure as hell going to find out.

Todd: All right, I must have hit every lamppost -- We'll get her back, Blair. I promise you. Someone's bound to see her picture.

Man: Score. Double score. Triple score.

Travis: Starr, where are you? I told you to wait right here. My room, right.

Officer: Hey. Are you Travis OíConnell?

Travis: Um -- no, no. I'm Dave Smith.

Officer: We need to see some I.D. Do you hear me? Empty your pockets, kid.

Officer: Ok. Where's the girl, kid?

Starr: Please, Travis. Come back soon.

Bo: Who's winning?

Kathryn: Hey. John and Natalie. They make quite a team.

Man: Yeah.

[Phone rings]

Daniel: Daniel colson. All right, ok. I'm on my way.

Nora: Uh-oh.

Daniel: The Lansdowne case. I got to go.

Nora: All right, I'll go with you.

Daniel: No, no, no, no. No reason for you to suffer. But you know what? We should do this again. Maybe over dinner?

Nora: Ok. That sounds good.

Daniel: See ya.

Nora: All right.

Daniel: Hey, guys. Enjoying yourself?

Riley: Well, you're in a good mood.

Daniel: Yeah. You bet I am. See you later, ok?

Riley: Yeah.

Daniel: Um --

Nora: I got it.

Daniel: You got it?

Jen: What was that about?

Riley: Well, I think he and Nora were having more than a power lunch.

Jen: Well, Noraís amazing. He'd be lucky to go out with her.

Riley: Well, she was good to Flash.

Jen: I wish your dad was still going out with my mom.

Riley: Well, if you felt that way, why did you tell him that your mom was sleeping with Rex?

Jen: You know what? Actually, I did him a favor. I just wish that my mom would stop making a fool of herself.

John: You brought me luck.

[Phone rings]

Natalie: Oh, us Atlantic City kids got to stick together, you know?

John: Apparently.

Bo: Nice work, you two. But you cost me a hundred bucks.

John: Bo, it's going to a good cause, right?

Natalie: And don't tell me you bet against us?

Bo: No, come on. I know better than that. It's just that the Commissioner is required to make a contribution. Thanks, kid.

Natalie: Thank you.

Bo: I'll take a contribution.

Nora: I think we deserve a beer.

John: Yeah.

Kathryn: Hey, we need to talk.

John: Ok. Would you order me a draft? I'll be right over.

Natalie: Yeah.

John: All right.

Paul: Hey. You look good.

Natalie: Yeah, well, pool's my thing.

Paul: I wasn't talking about your game.

John: Hey, look, forgive me. Something came up. I got to go.

Natalie: Ok.

John: All right? All right.

Kathryn: Work comes first for John, Natalie. It always has.

Natalie: I understand. It's cool.

Kathryn: Ok.

Paul: Hey, looks like you need one of those.

Natalie: Thank you.

Paul: Oh, better yet, it looks like you need one of these.

Lindsay: I have a meeting with a client at the gallery. Why don't you stop by later?

Rex: Looking forward to it.

Lindsay: Picking at my leftovers?

Nora: The way I heard it, Daniel left you.

Lindsay: Oh, he must have told you that over a few stiff drinks.

Nora: Lindsay, I would worry about my own addictions if I were you.

Rex: Oh, waitress, waitress. Charge, please.

Jen: Let's get out of here.

Bo: How was your date?

Nora: Lunch. It was lunch.

Bo: Does Colson know that?

Nora: You know, on a one-to-one, he's actually very pleasant.

Bo: Sounds like a date to me.

Nora: And you spend so much time with Eve McBain because you like music?

Waitress: I'm sorry, sir. Your card won't go through.

Rex: Well, it must be a mistake.

Waitress: I ran it twice.

Rex: Yeah, I made a few big purchases today. Why don't you try -- you know what? Actually, I'll write you a check.

Waitress: We don't take checks.

Rex: I'm the owner of Ultra Violet. My credit's good here.

Waitress: I'll have to check with the manager.

Paul: You don't wait around for things to happen, and neither do I. I'm better for you than McBain is. And don't tell me you still don't have feelings for him.

Natalie: Does that matter?

Paul: No. He must be an idiot, because he doesn't want you.

Natalie: Thanks.

Paul: Natalie, listen, you got to figure out what you want. I mean, excitement and fun. I think you like living on the edge.

Natalie: I haven't been living for a very long time.

Paul: Well, life's short. What are you waiting for?

Natalie: Opportunity.

Paul: Natalie, look, run away with me.

Natalie: What?

Paul: I don't care where we go. I just want to be together.

Kelly: Listen, forget about Todd. He had nothing to do with me taking that money. Besides, Starr is missing, and even he deserves a break.

Asa: What the hell did Manning do now?

Kelly: Oh, Asa. Hi. Oh, I'm so glad you're back.

Asa: Mmm.

Kelly: Why don't we go see your great-grandson, huh?

Asa: Good idea. And to be frank with you, Kelly, I think little Ace understands me better than anyone in this damn family.

Kelly: Thank you.

Kevin: What happened at the police station?

Asa: Why? You didn't show up. I handled everything myself.

Kevin: Yeah, Houston, please. A Nicholas Carson. All right, put him through. Yeah, Nick Carson! Hey, Kevin Buchanan, the man whose wife you slept with. Hey, listen to me, you son of a bitch. What kind of a deal you have going with Todd Manning?

Starr: I need you, Travis. Where are you? I need my mom and dad.

Todd: It's ok.

Blair: Oh. I was having a dream. I was trying to get to Starr, but I couldn't get to her.

Todd: Ok, we're going to get to her. I promise.

[Phone rings]

Todd: It's her! Starr, where are you?

Blair: Starr?

Todd: Starr, I promise you're not going to be in trouble. Just tell us where you are, honey. Starr?

Blair: What?

Todd: Starr?

Blair: What -- what happened?

Todd: Starr!

Michael: Did you have any luck finding those files?

Dorian: When you ask me to get something done, I get it done.

Natalie: Well, hey, Lieutenant. Do you want to run off with me?

Travis: I never wanted to do anything wrong or have anything bad happen.

Man: You care about him; you need to come with me.
