Dorian: David, for goodness sakes, will you calm down! You're going to disturb the entire hotel!

David: Thank goodness. I could have really hurt my shoulder. Hey, look -- grapes.

Dorian: What are you doing here in Puerto Rico?

David: Oh, my God. Black stockings and high heels in the Honeymoon Suite, in our Honeymoon Suite?

Dorian: Oh, really, why shouldn't I be staying here?

David: Oh, don't you play innocent with me. You're here with him, aren't you?

Dorian: Him who?

David: Where is Adriana’s father?


Adriana: Well, I did what you said, Roxy. I told River that I never want to see him again.

Roxy: Yeah? And?

Adriana: It's working. I mean, he hasn't stopped calling.

Roxy: See? Boys are just men. They just don't know it yet.

Adriana: Can I forgive him now? I really miss him.

Roxy: Well, you know, don't give in till I tell you, ok? Got to go.

[Doorbell rings]

River: Hey. Before you say anything right now, I want you to know that what happened with Shannon was a totally one-time thing. It didn't mean anything to me, all right?


Michael: Hey, sleeping beauty.

[Marcie snores]

Marcie: Oh -- oh -- hi! Hi. I -- I came by to wake Michael up early, and -- what are they doing here?

Michael: That's a good question. John?

John: Not a good question, Michael. Remember I called you? We're going to go over everything you know about Dr. Long.

Kathryn: Yeah, especially the stuff with Paul Cramer.


Natalie: Ok, you sounded urgent. I came as soon as you called. What's up?

Roxy: Me -- up a creek. Got any cash?

Natalie: How much do you owe?

Roxy: Hey, Nat, I knew I could count on you. Just a couple hundred dollars. Maybe make it 900, you know, just until my gravy train comes in for a landing.

Natalie: Roxanne, what -- what are you doing? Are you playing the ponies again, you know, looking over your shoulders for the loan sharks? What are you doing?

Paul: Hey -- I'm sorry, one second. Listen, you really need to get out of here.

Natalie: Excuse me? Says who?

Paul: Says you, if you're smart. Some stuff's about to go down in here and you don't want to get hurt.


Kevin: Is your brother coming back by today?

Kelly: I hope not.

Kevin: Yeah, I hate to say this, but he's the kind of guy that seems like he's always working off of secret information.

Kelly: Why do you say that?

Kevin: Oh, you know, all that talk about our son inheriting mental problems and comparing us to Dorian’s games with Adriana. I mean, what's that about?

Kelly: I don't know.

Asa: Well, here it is, Kevin. We got us a declaration of war.

Margaret: Hey.

Kevin: Hey.

Margaret: I'm sorry to bother you at home.

Kevin: Oh, no, it's ok. Come in.

Margaret: Thanks.

Kevin: So, any luck finding out who transferred the money?

Margaret: No, I just -- I didn't think this could wait, so -- Mrs. Buchanan. Hi.

Kevin: Oh, hi. You remember Margaret from Accounting?

Kelly: Sure. This must be important.

Margaret: I guess that's for your husband to decide, so --

Kelly: Ok, well, I'm going to go check on Ace.

Kevin: Ok.

Asa: I've made up my mind, Kevin. I'm going to hire a guy and throw Manning in the Llantano River.

Kevin: Grandpa, you got to stop -- sorry. So what do you have?

Margaret: You're not going to like this, but I know who transferred the money out of the corporate account, the $64,000, and it wasn't Todd Manning.

Kevin: Who was it?

Margaret: It was your wife.


Nora: Matthew, Starr hasn't turned up yet, but the police will find her, ok?

Matthew: I should have never said her parents wouldn't get back together.

Nora: Hey, those emails show that she was planning on doing this long before you ever said anything, ok? Now, are you going to have chocolate chip pancakes or what?

Matthew: Can I sit at the counter?

Nora: Sure. Go for it. Hi.

Antonio: How are you?

Nora: Ok.

Antonio: Seen this?

Nora: Oh, no. What is it about? Starr Manning missing?

Antonio: She's missing?

Nora: In New York, yes. I guess word hasn't gotten out here yet.

Antonio: I feel bad for even Todd, even when he is printing headlines like this.


Jessica: Mom? Mom, are you ok?

Viki: Yeah, I'm -- have you seen this? Todd is still going after Kevin, and he promised me he wasn't going to do it.

Jessica: Yeah, and you don't have to read this, ok?

Viki: But the police are involved. Did you know about that?

Jessica: Antonio is doing an investigation. Apparently, there was said to be somebody at Buchanan Enterprises that bribed Nora to look the other way.

Viki: Well, that's ridiculous.

Jessica: I know, but he has to investigate it anyway.

Viki: Well, I'm going to call Todd.

Jessica: Mom --

Viki: And I'm going to find out what he thinks he has. If he has nothing, he's going to print a retraction.

Jessica: No, you're not going to do anything that upsets you.

Viki: Are you kidding? I'm already upset.

Jessica: I know. I came downstairs and you were holding your heart. That's why I'm going to handle this myself.

Viki: All right, ok -- ok, but you have to tell me everything.

Jessica: Ok.


Kevin: This has to be a mix-up. Kelly doesn't have access to corporate accounts.

Margaret: I wish I was wrong. I hate telling you this.

Kevin: Well, it's got to be somebody else.

Margaret: I wouldn't have come here if I didn't have proof.

Kevin: Ok, what proof?

Margaret: You don't believe me.

Kevin: Look, Margaret, I don't doubt your competence, but Manning has been pushing this story for the last few weeks. Couldn't he make it look like Kelly did it?

Margaret: Well, you tell me. This is the transfer for the entire amount, and this went into your personal account on April 15.

Kevin: Ok.

Margaret: This is the statement of the personal account. There's the deposit. If you look down here, there's the withdrawal for the same $64,000 the next day.

Kevin: Ok, that could have been a hacker or --

Margaret: This is a photo, ok? It's a hard copy. Now, isn't that your wife's signature?


David: Where is he, Dorian? Huh? Where is the guy you're sleeping with?

Dorian: He's right here in the suite with me, making a complete and utter fool of himself!

David: You expect me to believe that?

Dorian: I'm telling you for the last time, I am here absolutely alone.

David: Oh, no. First, you admit to me that you're still married, and then you duck out of town again. I know a rendezvous when I see one.

Dorian: I am not in love with Adriana’s father. I only went to Mendorra to check on my annulment.

David: And then you come to Puerto Rico to see him again. Why so secretive?

Dorian: Because I had to have some closure with him.

David: Oh, you did? And how did that go? Won't he sign off? Is he still in love with you?

Dorian: Not anymore.

David: Is he blackmailing -- oh, my God, is he forcing himself on you? If you are having sex with him, even to protect me, I swear to God I will kill him.

Dorian: David, you can't kill him because he's already dead.

David: What?

Dorian: Yes -- dead, as in not breathing, as in shot full of holes. I've just come from the funeral.

David: I have never been more in love with you than I am right now.

Dorian: Well, wonderful, but why?

David: You killed your husband so you could marry me, didn't you?


River: Look, this didn't feel like anything special, all right? It's not like it is with you.

Adriana: You kissed her?

River: Not really. I mean, she sort of kissed me, not that it was all her fault, but I thought I'd tell you.

Adriana: Oh, well, thank you for being honest.

River: I thought you knew -- I thought you knew about that. That's why you did what you did before.

Adriana: No. That was just some dumb trick to make you miss me. And instead, you were --

River: Yeah, I know, whatever. I was -- I went to Angel Square to the rooftop.

Adriana: Why? Was it because I wouldn't sleep with you? Or is Shannon somebody that --

River: No. No. No, no, no. No. Look, you're the only one that I want to do that with. It's just that I ran into her and she started joking around.

Adriana: No, I don't want to -- I don't want to hear. I want you to leave.

River: Look, Adriana, please.

Adriana: No, I can't look at you the same. Please, just go.


John: These are the pictures Shannon took on the rooftop.

Michael: Is -- is Paul Cramer kissing somebody?

Shannon: Natalie.

Marcie: Oh, cut it out.

Shannon: Yeah, and, I mean, they were going at it until Dr. Long came --

John: Shannon, would you do us all a favor and go get yourself a cup of coffee? Thank you. Ok, keep skipping through.

Michael: Ok.

John: There's your Dr. Long.

Kathryn: Hmm. And he doesn't look happy with Paul. What's that about?

Michael: It can't be anything good. Oh, why is it that they're meeting up there and not in the office now? And how come Paul Cramer’s getting paid in cash from the Chief of Staff's bottom drawer?

Kathryn: Well, Cramer’s never been shy about illegal cargo, but what's he carrying? I mean, is it drugs? The hospital's full of them.

Michael: Yeah, it's a possibility, but to be honest with you, I get a really bad feeling about organ donation, and I know I'm not the only one.

John: Did you tell somebody else?

Michael: No. No, no, no. I just listened. Now, a patient's widow was questioning Dr. Long about the fact that her husband was included on a donor list when she swore up and down that he refused to be included on that list. Now, I checked the patient's file. Dr. Long was lying.

Kathryn: Who would know what Paul Cramer is ferrying out of here at night?

Michael: I hate to say it, but I'd start with the girl that he was kissing up on the roof.


Natalie: All right. Paul, come on. I mean, what's going down here that's going to hurt me?

Paul: Natalie, it's better if you just trust me.

Natalie: Oh, all right. So does it affect me or everyone else? Is it bigger than a breadbox?

Paul: No, no -- I'm meeting this woman, and I don't want you to get the wrong idea.

Natalie: Ok. Sounds to me like you're the one who's worried about getting hurt.

Paul: No. It's just -- I care about what you think. I'm trying to be straight here.

Natalie: All right. So who is she, besides someone who makes you feel guilty?

Paul: Well, she's just -- she's not anybody I'm interested in.

Natalie: Ok.

Paul: Fine. She's this girl that I used to date a long time ago, it's ancient history, and she's just passing through and dropping some stuff off to me.

Natalie: And then moving on?

Paul: Yeah. I mean, you know, I'm the one with the competition here, and -- I know, with your cop friend always barking at me like a dog, and I know you're not going to forget about your husband.

Natalie: Probably not.

Paul: And that's all right to me, ok? I just hope that, you know, when you're with me, maybe I can get your mind off of him once in a while.

Natalie: You already do that. Thank you.


Kevin: Ok, it looks like Kelly’s signature, but it can't be.

Margaret: Well, do you want to ask her?

Kevin: No, I don't want to ask her. Ok, this is crazy. It's a setup, obviously.

Margaret: Look, I'm really, really sorry, but everything points to your wife.

Kevin: Well, that's because Manning wants it to. The guy forges signatures for breakfast, for crying out loud.

Margaret: Well, how do we prove that?

Kevin: Well, to pull this off, he had to go to a bank. Did you talk to a teller?

Margaret: It's not my account, so --

Kevin: Ok, there you go. You know, I'll clear it with the manager. Somebody has got to remember a withdrawal of this size.

Margaret: All right. I'll get everything I can, but --

Kevin: What? What? Just say it.

Margaret: I don't know. I mean, maybe Mrs. Buchanan has reasonable explanation.

Kevin: Oh, that she kept from me?

Margaret: May-- I don't know. I guess I'm just hoping.

Kevin: Ok. Come on.

Kevin: Listen to me. I want this cleared up before it goes any further. You understand me?

Margaret: Yeah, ok.

Kevin: Yeah, Ms. Pope, it's Kevin Buchanan. Fine, thanks. Listen, I got one of my people coming down to look at my private account. Just give them everything they need. Thanks.

Kelly: Oh, hey. Business meeting over?

Kevin: Yeah.

Kelly: Is something wrong?

Kevin: Yeah, something's wrong. Something's seriously wrong. And you're the only one that can straighten it out.


Nora: Daniel, thank you so much for calling. No, I really appreciate it. Ok. Thanks. Huh. Whatever Buchanan Enterprises' financial problems are, the District Attorney just called to tell me that there's no evidence that I took a bribe, so he'll be calling you to advise you to drop my case.

Antonio: That's good news. Jess will be happy to hear that.

Nora: Wow. I was married to a Buchanan once. I certainly remember what it was like. It can't be easy for you and Jess right now.

Antonio: It's been the worst.


Kevin: Margaret told me something very disturbing.

Kelly: Well, I -- I'm sure I know what this is about. It's about the whole bribing the D.A. nonsense, and I want to tell you that I'm really proud of you for letting all of Todd’s accusations just roll off your back.

Kevin: Yeah. Actually, it's about the money that was transferred from the company to our private account. I really need to know who put it there.

[Doorbell rings]

Jessica: Have you seen these charges in "The Banner-Sun"?

Kevin: Yeah. They're total bull.

Jessica: Yeah, well, they have mom really, really upset, so, Kevin, just tell me, does Todd have something on you or not?


Viki: Hello, Asa.

Asa: Viki. How you feeling?

Viki: I've been better.

Asa: I have had more heart attack scares than you can shake a stick at. You, my friend, are going to be fine.

Viki: Ok. I'll remember that. You didn't come here to pay a sick call, though, did you?

Asa: Nope. I came over to find out when you're going to fire that lunatic brother of yours you made editor of "The Banner."

Viki: I'm not going to do anything until I talk to Todd and find out what this is all about.

Asa: You're going to let him print those lies about your own son?

Viki: He is reporting other people's allegations.

Asa: Allegations he made up himself.

Viki: Asa, come on, I know that Kevin didn't bribe anyone, but the police are investigating, aren't they?

Asa: Damn it, Viki, this is nothing but a smear campaign, and you know it.

Viki: Well, perhaps. But you know what? It's not life or death. Frankly, I'm a lot more worried about the other story -- the missing money.

Asa: That's lies, too.

Viki: Well, then, you have absolutely nothing to worry about. It'll all be cleared up and you'll be back to business as usual.

Asa: You know something, Viki? I regret the day that you let your brother back in your life. You're too good for him.

Viki: Oh. Asa --

Asa: You take care.


Jessica: Kevin, mom was clutching her heart when she was reading that, ok?

Kevin: And Todd says he loves her and he pulls stuff like this? Man, I'm going to kick his butt.

Jessica: Yeah, this is really helping things, Kevin. Listen, listen, ok, I came. I need the real story, so I came to the man on top.

Kevin: Ok, I'm looking into it.

Jessica: Kevin, mom wants to know.

Kevin: All right, you tell mom this, all right? Todd's got it all wrong. It looks a lot worse than it is. And do yourself a favor, and mom -- drop it, now.


Reporter: Mr. Buchanan? Last chance to respond to our story in "The Banner-Sun."

Asa: First, you come by the office, and you got to see my gun for all your trouble. And now you show up in my home -- my home -- where my family is. This time, my friend, you are going to get a real look at the gun.

Reporter: Oh, God, please. Don't shoot, please!

Kevin: Grandpa, what the hell are you doing?

Asa: Oh, I was just going to zing one by his damn --

Jessica: Are you all right?

Reporter: This is the second time you tried to shoot me. I thought I was dead.

Kevin: Uh --

Asa: Third time you are dead.

Kevin: Yeah, he's just blowing off steam, trust me, it's --

Asa: "Blowing off steam"? Like hell I am! I'm protecting my family, my business, and you.

Reporter: First time I let it go. No more.

Kevin: Oh, that's -- that's just great, grandpa. That is the exact reaction that Todd wants -- you flinging a gun around? What are you doing?

Asa: Fine. You want to play dead every time Todd messes around, you do it. Good luck.

[Phone rings]

Kelly: Oh -- I'll take this in the other room. Hello?

Jessica: What is going on here? You're nervous, Kelly’s nervous, grandpa's waving guns at reporters. What are we hiding?

Kevin: I have to talk to Kelly first.

Jessica: Why? Why Kelly? What does she have to do with Buchanan Enterprises? Is it because of her involvement with Todd?

Kelly: That was Blair. She's calling from New York. Starr's disappeared.

Kevin: What?


[David chuckles]

Dorian: Oh, David, David, listen to me. I did not kill Adriana’s father.

David: Oh, right, right. We'll play it that way until you're safely out of the country.

Dorian: No, no, no. I really mean it.

David: Yes, and I should probably provide you with an excellent alibi, and if you go to trial, I will be right there. And if you go to jail for murder, I promise you, I will be there the day that you get released.

Dorian: Oh, that is so sweet.

David: I know why you did this. You did this so that you and I could finally be husband and wife. They understand crimes of passion down here. Oh, my God, I love you.

Dorian: David --

David: What?

Dorian: I -- I did not kill Manuel Santi.

David: Manuel Santi?

Dorian: Mm-hmm.

David: El Toro Santi? Wait a minute -- wh-- this El Toro Santi?

Dorian: Yeah, that's him. That was him.

David: You were married to the most notorious drug lord this side of --

Dorian: Briefly, but I didn't kill him.

David: Well, as long as somebody did. Did he ever happen to know my name? Not that it matters now, but --

Dorian: He was killed by hit men during a drug war.

David: So nothing to do with me -- or us?

Dorian: Nothing.

David: No wonder you kept Adriana under wraps. And thank you; thank you for not marrying me.

Dorian: Oh, David --

[Knock on door]

Carlotta: Dorian, my luggage is downstairs, and -- what is he doing here?

David: What is she doing here?

Dorian: Oh -- we'll explain it to each other on the way back home. Come on, David, the luggage --

David: That's a very good idea. We don't want your husband's friends paying their respects.

Carlotta: You don't know about --

David: Oh, yeah, El Toro es no more-o.

Dorian: Now, you cannot breathe a word of this. Adriana must never know who her real father is -- was.

David: All right. Are you going to keep your mouth shut? Let's go. Let's go.


Adriana: And I thought River was different, that only other men are pigs, like you said.

Roxy: No, a guy like him -- he doesn't know when he's messing up till its way over.

Adriana: Yeah, well, that's us now. Over. I told him we were finished forever.

Roxy: And, you know, if you're serious about this virgin stuff, you better skip the boys altogether.

Adriana: Or give up being a virgin.


Paul: Babe, where the hell have you been? I've been wait-- oh. Oh, so now you're not coming? Yeah, I got the annulment papers. I can't believe you filed them already. Oh, I guess it's legal this time, huh? We never have to see each other again. Well, you just remember one thing, Babe -- Adam Chandler offered me a lot of money to rat you out, so don't give me any trouble. I might just have to take him up on it.


John: What exactly does this Dr. Long do in here? And leave any hanky-panky out of it.

Michael: You know, I wasn't exactly sure what he was doing, because I was trying to pretend to be asleep, but I did hear him close the blinds. He pretended to be leaving a get-well card.

John: He pretended to?

Michael: Yeah. You see, while he was snooping around, one of the nurses came in to check on me. He had to have a reason to be in here, so --

John: Ok, Michael, I want you to just leave all of this alone, all right? And I'm not just saying it because you're my brother, ok? Just -- if there is something going on here, its just going to jeopardize everything with you snooping around and freelancing, ok?

Kathryn: If Dr. Long isn't sure about you, let's keep it that way.

John: I'm on this now, Michael, ok? Your job is to watch your back, watch Marcie’s back, all right? You got it?

Michael: I got it.

John: You got it?

Michael: I got it, Johnny.

John: Ok.

Michael: Hey, thanks for listening to me, man. I'm not a nut.

John: Oh, I still think you're a nut, but I'll listen to you. All right, erase all the photos on that camera.

Michael: Ok.

John: I'll see you later.

Marcie: Bye.

Michael: See ya. See, I told you I was right. John doesn't waste any time.

Marcie: I know. Your brother cares a lot about you. We all care a lot about you. So, how do you delete these pictures?

Michael: Uh -- we'll worry about that later.

Marcie: Michael.

Michael: Maybe. Hand me my binoculars.

Marcie: Didn't you just promise your brother? All right, listen to me. I'm going to make a deal with you, ok? Because I want to keep you out of this, and to prove to you that Dr. Long is not doing anything, I'm going to go look around for you, but then you're going to stop snooping. Do we have a deal?

Michael: Ok. You're going to be careful, right? It's in and out.

Marcie: Hello! Look who you're talking to!

Michael: You're not going to do anything risky?

Marcie: I'm not going to do anything risky.

Michael: Ok. Deal.

Marcie: Deal.


Kelly: Apparently, Starr met someone on the Internet, and she's gone. Blair is hysterical. Todd is there.

Kevin: Oh, well, that'll help.

Kelly: Well, she says that he's being good about everything.

Kevin: Well, listen, we should probably tell mom about this.

Jessica: Well, normally, we would, but, Kevin, you didn't see her when she was reading that newspaper this morning, ok? How much bad news can she take in one day?

Kevin: All right, all right. You should probably -- you know, the less we talk about her.

Jessica: Ok, well, I'm going to get home before somebody calls her with this news. Give Ace a kiss for me.

Kelly: Ok. I don't know what I would do if Ace just disappeared. You know what? I'm going to go check on him.

[Doorbell rings]

Margaret: Hey.

Kevin: Hey. Any luck?

Margaret: Your bank manager was very cooperative. Surveillance tape, showing the withdrawal from the account.

Kevin: And?

Margaret: See for yourself.


David: Oh.

Dorian: Oh.

David: Thank God we escaped San Juan. El Toro es muerto.

Dorian: David --

David: What?

Dorian: Keep your voice down.

David: Why? I'm excited to be alive, and now you and I can finally get married.

Dorian: Yes, darling -- eventually.

Adriana: Did you just say you're getting married? What made you change your mind?

Dorian: Actually, it's because someone died.

Adriana: Oh. I'm so sorry. Who was it?

Dorian: Honey, I hate to have to tell you this, but it was your father.

Adriana: What happened?

David: For him? It was natural causes.

Dorian: I would have taken you to the funeral, but I didn't want you to be upset. You see people have very complicated feelings about him.

Adriana: Wow. I don't even know how I feel. I mean he's a complete stranger and not even a name. I guess I always thought that I'd get to meet him and know him someday.

Dorian: It may be harsh to say this, but I think it's a good thing that you didn’t.

Adriana: What was his name?

David: He used an alias, but he changed it a lot, so --

Adriana: Couldn't I know more about him? I mean, now that he's gone?

Dorian: I've told you that he was a very dangerous man, so the less said and known about him, the better.

Adriana: Why does his death mean that you can marry David now?

Dorian: It made me think that every day of life is very, very precious and that I shouldn't waste it, especially not playing games with someone that I love. Oh, dear. Did I say something?

David: I wasn't talking.


Shannon: Hey, you look like you can use some cheering up.

River: Adriana just broke up with me. Over you.

Shannon: Why?

River: I told her what happened on the roof that time.

Shannon: Oh, my God, why would you do that?

River: I can't lie to her, all right?

Shannon: It's a drag when you lose your first big love. It sure messed me up. Just like you are now.

River: I thought you said love sucked and you'd never touch it.

Shannon: I guess I lied.


Antonio: You look like you've been to a funeral.

Carlotta: I have.

Antonio: Whose?

Carlotta: Adriana's father.

Antonio: Really? You look like you've been crying. Why? Because you're Adriana’s mother and not Dorian?

Carlotta: Oh, stop this! I swear on Cristian’s soul I am not Adriana’s mother.

[Phone rings]

Antonio: Vega. I thought -- no, ok, fine. I'll bring him in right away. Yeah.


Jessica: Hey. Is mom home?

Natalie: She's resting.

Jessica: Ok. Did you hear about Starr? She's missing in New York.

Natalie: What?

Jessica: Yeah.

Natalie: Oh, my God, that's going to completely shake her up.

Jessica: Yeah, and I say that we don't tell her. Ok?

Natalie: You don't want to tell mom?

Jessica: No.

Viki: Don't want to tell who what?

Jessica: Nothing. It's nothing to worry about. It can wait.

Natalie: Yeah.

Viki: Is it Ben?

Jessica: Oh --

Natalie: No, no. No, no, it's fine. I mean -- well -- I mean, as far as we know, he's fine.

Viki: Ok. Well, something is not fine.


Marcie: Hey. Hi. I'm Marcie Walsh. I don't know if you remember me or not, but I used to work for Dr. Conklin.

Nurse: Can I help you?

Marcie: Well, I'm researching a mystery novel, and I was wondering if maybe you could tell me how someone would illegally transport something out of a hospital.

Nurse: Well, don't ever say this came from me, but --

Dr. Long: Thank you.

Paul: Dr. Long?

Dr. Long: You have no right to be here. I fired you.

Paul: Yeah, well, maybe you should return my messages --

Dr. Long: Shh --

Paul: Unless you want me to tell the police what's going on around here, huh?

Dr. Long: You can't do that without implicating yourself.

Paul: Oh, sure, I can. I can go state evidence.

Dr. Long: Saying what? You had no idea what those trips were for. Those containers were sealed. All right, what do you want?

Paul: My job back.
