Antonio: Yeah. That's because you're here, Jess. She needs you.

Jessica: I need you. Listen, just move in here. I don't want to spend another night without you.


Nigel: Good evening, sir.

Roxy: So, Johnny Boy, who's the dame?

John: No names, Roxy. Anybody asks, we weren't even here.

Nigel: That was rather mysterious.

Roxy: Wake up and smell the garlic.

Nigel: I imagine they're engaged in some secret police operation.

Roxy: Oh, yeah. Secret police my keister. Somebody's going to hear about this.


John: Ok, talk to me. Why do you think you're going to be killed?

Kathryn: I got myself in a real bad position in an undercover sting, and I'm in over my head.

John: What do you need?

Kathryn: I think I can cover up and get out of this alive, but it depends whether I can find someone here in Llanview.

John: Who are you looking for?

Kathryn: You know a guy named Paul Cramer?


Natalie: Roxanne, you are not there to spy on him.

Roxy: I'm not spying. Johnny walks in with ms. Va-va-voom, so you better get here and stop it from starting.

Natalie: Look, I've already seen her. It's police business.

Roxy: Police business? Then what's she doing with an overnight bag over her shoulder?

Natalie: I don't know. John's private life is not my business, nor is it yours, so please butt out.

Paul: Hey.

Natalie: What do you want, Paul?

Paul: Well, I'd first like to apologize for yesterday. I mean I was way out of line for trying to get you back to my room. I'm sorry.

Natalie: And second?

Paul: Well, can I buy you a drink?


Michael: Riley. Man, I've been looking for you everywhere. You don't have a gig tonight, do you?

Riley: Yeah, a little later.

Michael: How much later?

Riley: About two hours.

Michael: Ok, listen -- I got to ask you the biggest favor in the world.

Riley: Well, dude, if you're coming for cash, I'm completely the wrong guy for that, but if you're coming for -- I don't know what you're coming to me for -- what am I good for?

Michael: I had this really special night planned for Marcie, and I was thinking that -- well, I was thinking that you could help me make it perfect.


Marcie: Ok, I know this is a really dumb question, but when a man promises you the most romantic evening of your life, what exactly does that mean? I have not been sitting in front of the mirror for an hour. It's been two. All right, all right, so I'm a little nervous. But, you know, it's a really -- it's a really good nervous. Why? Well, because -- for the first time since Al, I feel like this is the guy, you know? What do you mean, the guy for what? He's the guy for everything. Yeah. Yeah, I really do love him. And I think tonight's going to be the night.

[Marcie giggles]


Paul: Hmm. So, are you going to accept my apology or am I going to be drinking both of these, huh?

Natalie: Hmm.

Paul: Look, I am sorry. It's just, you know, when you kissed me, it felt right, and I guess I misread things.

Natalie: Ok, Paul, stop. Don't ruin the apology.

Paul: Ok, all right. I take it all back.

Natalie: Ok -- I'm not mad or anything. I -- I like hanging out with you like this.

Paul: Why do I feel a "but" coming?

Natalie: But hanging out is all I'm looking for right now with anyone.

Paul: Even John McBain?

Natalie: Ok, what is it that you have against John McBain, other than jealousy?

Paul: Jealousy? No. I just don't like cops.

Natalie: Why?

Paul: No reason.

Natalie: Feel a little guilty about something?

Paul: Cops make you feel guilty just by the way they look at you.

Natalie: Oh, come on now, fess up. I can always get a vibe when someone's ducking some trouble.

Paul: I just got back from Iraq. Now, that is trouble.

Natalie: Oh, Paul. You're not as squeaky clean as you say you are.

Paul: Jeez, you know, what'd they put in your drink?

Natalie: I don't see you denying it.


John: Yeah, I know this Cramer guy. What's he got to do with it?

Kathryn: I was working an undercover on a smuggling rig in San Diego. He was flying the stuff in for them from Mexico using a Navy chopper.

John: Ah. So military, that means what, no customs?

Kathryn: Long story short -- I'm setting the sting, holding the payoff money for the smugglers.

John: Oh, Kathryn.

Kathryn: Hey, give me a little credit. I had it totally covered till the money disappeared.

John: And you think this guy Cramer, he took it.

Kathryn: I know he did. The trouble is, is that --?

John: Trouble is you were holding it, so the smugglers think you took it.

Kathryn: I'm chasing Cramer, and they're chasing me.

John: Well, the bureau -- can't they shake this out for you?

Kathryn: They're looking at me funny.

John: Yeah, you can always count on some guy at the bureau to turn his back on you. Scaletta's the only reason why I quit.

Kathryn: Actually, I don't want to drop out yet, anyway. I am this close to nailing the Koriakus brothers and their whole operation. But I got to find Paul Cramer and get the money back, and it's got to happen fast.

John: One question.

Kathryn: Ask it.

John: Before we do anything, there's one thing I got to clear up. Five years -- five years since I last saw you, at Caitlinís memorial. Are you ever even going to mention her name?


Roxy: Royal flush. Must be the moon, huh?

Nigel: Yes, there certainly is romance in the air. All set, sir.

Marcie: All set? Wait, Nigelís a part of this? Wait, what's going on? Are you two trying to set me up? What's going on?

Michael: No more hints.

Marcie: Oh, no! Michael, I did not have to get all dressed up to go to your hotel room

Michael: Who said anything about my room?

Marcie: Well -- but --

Michael: Come on, let's go.

Marcie: No, Michael -- Michael, please! Oh, come on!

Michael: Ok, now --

Marcie: Michael, where are you taking me?

Michael: Watch your step.

Marcie: No, come on!

Michael: Ok.

Marcie: No fair. Michael, it's beautiful.

Michael: Yeah, it is, isn't it?

Marcie: Well, what's the special occasion?

Michael: You're the special occasion.


Antonio: Her favorite. Where is she?

Jessica: I put her to bed.

Antonio: Oh. Thanks.

Jessica: You're welcome. And I also made some snacks, and I got some beer. So, how can I serve you?

Antonio: Hmm.

Jessica: Listen, I know that you're not thrilled about the living arrangements, and I promise I'm going to make it right, ok? And I know you're not happy about living in Llanfair, but --

Antonio: But -- I can't stand being away from you.

Jessica: So?

Antonio: Ok. I give up.

Jessica: You'll move in here? Oh, yes!

[Jamie cries]

Jessica: Oh, oh, the other woman.

Antonio: Hey, how is your mom going to feel about me pacing up and down the hallway with a screaming baby?

Jessica: We're going to do this together. We'll be fine. Come on.


Kathryn: John, I know how bad it was for you after Caitlin was murdered, and it wasn't easy for me, either, but, I don't know -- I -- I remembered the look in your eyes.

John: Why -- you thought maybe you'd just mention her name once and I'd -- I'd fall apart? We both survived.

Kathryn: I still miss her, bad.

John: Yeah.

Kathryn: Maybe I was afraid if I saw you and we started talking about Caitlin that I wouldn't be able to stop, you know. Two -- two sisters donít get much -- but, hey, like you said, we both survived.

John: Yeah. Life goes on, right? We should just -- we should focus on this thing you're involved with.

Kathryn: Ok, I got to admit I'm scared. The Koriakus brothers would kill you as soon as look at you.

John: Ok. Let's take a drive. We'll pick up this guy, Cramer.

Kathryn: No, I better not. They sent a tag team after me, and I think I spotted them at the airport. A man, woman, young -- I better not go wandering around.

John: Just how much money are we talking about here, Kathryn?

Kathryn: Remember the old $64,000 question?

John: That's how much Cramer stole?

Kathryn: Yeah. Could you bring him to me?

John: You know I'm not F.B.I. anymore, right?

Kathryn: I know. But, John, I need you on this one. We've helped each other before. Remember that sting in Newark? If I hadn't covered your back, you never would have met Caitlin. Just find Cramer for me.

John: You're never going to let me off the hook on that sting in Newark, are you? I'll do what I can do.

Kathryn: And then will you help me deal with them?

John: Let's see how this whole thing plays out.


[Woman rings bell]

Nigel: May I help you?

Man: Kyle. My name.

Woman: Kay. This woman -- she get a room here?

Nigel: No. Not at this hotel.

Kyle: The man -- he get a room?

Nigel: That's John McBain. He lives here, but I'm afraid he's not in at the moment.

Kyle: Why afraid?

Nigel: Well, I'm British. "I'm afraid" is an expression.

Kay: How do you know he's not in?

Nigel: Because he left just a few moments ago, but do you care to leave a message?

Kyle: Did McBain leave with the woman?

Roxy: He would never be interested in this broad. He's into redheads.

Nigel: May I ask why you're inquiring about him?

Kyle: S.I.B.

Nigel: Could I see that again?

Kay: Not really.

Roxy: What's S.I.B. stand for?

Kyle: Secret Investigation Bureau.

Nigel: Oh. I've never heard of it.

Kyle: Of course not.

Kay: That's the point.

Kyle: We're going to take a look around.

Nigel: Oh, no, beg pardon. Residents and their guests only, please.

Kay: You understand -- we're taking a look around. Don't try and stop us.

Nigel: Oh, you're joking?

Kay: We don't joke.


Natalie: Hmm. So did you really want to get us another drink, or are you just ducking my question?

Paul: You know, you keep making me out to be this interesting guy, but I'm afraid the truth is just going to bore you.

Natalie: Oh, really?

Paul: Hmm. Mm-hmm.

Natalie: Let's hear it.

Paul: All right. I'm a Navy pilot, honorably discharged. I came back here to forget about the war and get to know my Cramer relatives.

Natalie: Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Paul: End of story.

Natalie: Right! It's a little too simple for me. Everyone's got something to hide. Ooh, I know -- let's play Truth or Dare.

Paul: All right. All right, you go first.

Natalie: Ok. That means I get to choose, so I'm going to go with -- truth.

Paul: Ok. Do you still have a thing for John McBain?

Natalie: I meant to say, "dare."

Paul: All right. No problem, no problem. I dare you to dance with me.


Rex: Hey, tonight you card everybody, ok? I don't care if they're older than Mother Teresa.

Bartender: Who?

Rex: Just do what I said. Where the hell's Riley?

Sheyne: Beats me. He said he had something to take care of.

Rex: All right, well, listen -- the crowd's early, ok, so plug in and play.

Sheyne: You said in an hour. Riley's not going to be here till you wanted us.

Rex: Well, now I want you now, ok? You want to play this club, find your front man and crank this up fast.


Marcie: Want to know something?

Michael: I don't know. Am I going to like it?

Marcie: Yes. I didn't think I could ever be this happy again. People like me; we don't usually get second chances.

Michael: Sweetie, you deserve all the chances in the world.

Marcie: When Al died, it was like I died, and not just part of me, but everything. You know, for a while, it was like I was living more in the other world with him than here, by myself.

Michael: I get that.

Marcie: Sometimes I would wake up and I would, you know, try to convince myself that everything was going to be ok and that someday I would find someone to love me again.

Michael: It was tough.

Marcie: Yeah. It was impossible. I would cry myself to sleep. But then -- then you came along.

Michael: Yeah, and you hated my guts.

Marcie: Only for a couple of weeks. All right, a couple of months, but it really wasn't that long.

Michael: Tell you the truth -- I never really liked me very much, either.

Marcie: Yeah, but you grew on me, didn't you? You made this miraculous transformation somehow.

Michael: Because of you.

Marcie: I love you, Michael.

Michael: I love you, Marcie.

Michael: I got a surprise for you.

Marcie: What could be better than all of this?

Michael: Come here.

Michael: Here you go. I got it for when we're apart. Read, don't go out.

Marcie: "Uncivil Seasons."

Michael: It's an autographed first edition.

Marcie: Get out of here. Wow. So you know Michael Malone?

Michael: Yeah, yeah, I know Michael Malone. No, I don't know him. I bought this from a collector.

Marcie: I love it. It's great.

Michael: It's set in a little town in North Carolina.

Marcie: I can't wait to read it. I -- thanks.

Michael: I thought that might help inspire you with creating that little town -- you know, that little town you're creating for "The Killing Club"?

Marcie: Oh. Well --

Michael: What is the problem?

Marcie: It's just that I -- I really think that I'm going to have to forget about writing that book for a while, Michael. At least for now.

Michael: Why?

Marcie: Well, because my grades are slipping, and I have to work double shifts at the police station to make extra money --

Michael: Marcie, you can't stop writing this book, ok? You're just --

Marcie: Michael --

Michael: You're just too good at it. That's it. What, did I say something to -- I mean, did I --

Marcie: No. It's just that nobody's had this much faith in me since Al.

Michael: I'm going to have more faith in you than Al. Faith and love.


Kathryn: Back so soon. What's wrong?

John: Those people looking for you at the airport, goofballs in black?

Kathryn: Yeah.

John: They're down in the lobby.

Roxy: They're on their way up right now.

Kathryn: Oh, damn it.

Roxy: Oh, God!

Kathryn: This is the last thing I need.

John: Ok, ok. Put it away. No guns, all right? Listen to me, Roxy, I need you to stash her somewhere for me, ok?

Roxy: Maybe. Under one condition.

John: Oh, no conditions. See, I don't have time for this right now. Come on.

Roxy: All right, then you make me a promise -- that there's nothing romantic going on between you and this gun moll.

John: Ah, give this a rest, all right, Rox? This is important, all right? Listen, I will call you on your cell phone as soon as I find what you're looking for. Got it?

Kathryn: Thanks, John.

John: Do this for me. Take her, will you?

Roxy: Ok. I got the perfect spot. Come on. Oops. Sorry for interrupting.


Kyle: Register said room number four.


Natalie: Ok, it's your turn.

Paul: Well, all right.

Natalie: Truth or dare?

Paul: Dare.

Natalie: Hmm! This should be exciting. I've never dared a man with a helicopter before.

Paul: Oh, ok. Hold on a second here. Maybe I should stick with truth.

Natalie: Ok, ok. Let's see. What was the worst thing that you ever did before?

Paul: Um --

Natalie: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm waiting.

Paul: I'm thinking, I'm thinking.

Natalie: Yeah, so little time, so much to confess. Cops involved?

Paul: Here and there.

Natalie: Mm-hmm!

Paul: All right, all right, all right. So I haven't led a perfect life, all right?

Natalie: What'd you do?

Paul: Anything I can to stay afloat. You know, life's tough. I'm sure you can relate.

Natalie: Hmm. Sure can.

Paul: You know, I don't think you're as mad at me for hitting on you as you make out to be. In fact, I think you kind of liked it.

Natalie: Don't flatter yourself.

Paul: Oh. Ok, I wonít.

John: Ahem -- excuse me. We need to talk.

Natalie: Now? What's this about?

John: I'm not here for you; I'm here for him. Come on, we need to go.

Paul: Nice try, man. No, thank you.

John: "No, thank you"? What does that mean? What is "no, thank you,Ē supposed to mean?

Paul: Well, I mean, obviously, this isn't a business call, or you'd be taking me down to the station, right?

John: You'd probably like that, right? If I dragged you out of here?

Paul: You know what? Why don't you just go away, all right?

John: Man, that was not a request. Let's go.

Natalie: What -- what are you doing?

John: Sock hop's over, sweetheart, all right?

Rex: That -- that -- that -- that -- that's far enough.

Natalie: He just took away my drinking buddy!

Rex: Uh-huh. I saw the whole thing. It sure sounds like trouble. Stay out of it.


Roxy: Hey, listen, don't mind us. My friend and I were just trying to get away from everything.

Michael: Yeah -- do you think maybe you could find someplace else to get away from everything?

Roxy: No, I don't think so because it's a little late. Could I have a drink? You don't mind, do you?

Michael: Well, actually, Roxy, if you hadn't noticed, we are kind of in the middle of something here.

Riley: Hey, well, guys, I got to get going anyway.

Marcie: Oh, no! Not yet.

Riley: Yeah. Sheyne's texting me. Apparently, Rex is on some kind of whining binge. I got a gig.

Michael: Man, this was really huge. I appreciate it. Hold on.

Riley: Hey, come on, quit.

Michael: Are you serious?

Riley: Yes. Listen, hey, you two are what it is all about.

Marcie: Thanks, Riley.

Riley: Yeah.

Kathryn: Hey. If anyone down there asks, I'm not up here, and neither is John McBain.

Michael: See you, Riley. Listen, Roxy, please, could you just help me out here?

Roxy: Don't worry, we're going to scoot as soon as the danger's done and Johnny comes back.

Michael: Danger? Is my brother in some sort of trouble?

Roxy: Oh, this is Johnnyís brother, Dr. Michael McBain, so if you have stomach cramps or chest pains or anything like that --

Marcie: I haven't seen you at the police station. Are you a detective?

Michael: Is my brother in trouble or not?

Kathryn: It's no big deal. I'm just here on an assignment. I'm an old friend of John's, and I asked him to do me a favor. That's all.


John: Nigel, it's John. Yeah, hey, are those two goofballs still hanging around? All right, do me a favor. Tell them to come on down to Ultra Violet, ok? Yeah, tell them I'll meet them here. Thanks.

Paul: You know what? I'm not meeting anybody. What's going on here, huh?

John: You know a woman named Kathryn Fitzgerald?

Paul: No, I have no idea who that is.

John: That's the wrong answer, junior. Come on.

Paul: Oh, come --

Natalie: Hold it! Hold it -- you're just going arrest a guy for kissing me? Come on.

John: Natalie, how much have you had to drink?

Natalie: Answer my question, John.

John: Look; a friend of mine is in a situation, and Paul here, he's part of that situation.

Paul: Yeah, but what's -- what's this all about?

Natalie: Really? "Friend"? Is that the friend that went up to your -- your room? That woman friend?

John: Leave it alone, Natalie. I don't have time for this.

Natalie: Are you ok, Paul?

Paul: Yeah, you know what? I'm fine, all right? Just hang tight and I'll be back in no time.

John: Just hang tight.


Antonio: You know, maybe I should stay in a guest room.

Jessica: Yeah, right.

Antonio: You know, honey, R.J.'s not going to like this. I'm supposed to let him know about any changes in Jamieís living situation.

Jessica: Yeah, I know. He's not -- he's not a big fan of mine. But, you know, you'd think that he'd realize by now there's really nothing that he can do to keep me out of your lives.

Antonio: Well, yeah, but that doesn't mean he's not going to try.

Jessica: Yeah, well, I know how much I love Jamie. And I know I'm going to give this little girl everything that's in my heart. Hi, sweetie.


Marcie: Thanks.

Roxy: Give me a refill, will you, honey?

Michael: Yeah, no problem.

Kathryn: Sorry about this.

Marcie: No. It's ok. So, you used to work with John. I guess that means you're F.B.I., huh?

Kathryn: Yeah, I can't really talk about it.

Marcie: Oh, yeah. No, I completely understand. I mean, I work for the police station, so I know how these things work. You know, you really can't keep office hours. The work -- it chases you, right?

Kathryn: Huh. Sometimes it hunts you down and kills you.

Marcie: So, what is the big difference between being a fed and working for the police?

Kathryn: Interstate jurisdiction, less tangled up in local politics, zero personal life.

Marcie: Which one allows you to bend the rules a little bit more?

Kathryn: What, are you Internal Affairs?

Marcie: Oh, no, no, no. I'm writing a mystery novel. And I just want to make sure that I have all the details completely accurate.

Kathryn:  I guess you're in the right job, then.

Marcie: Yeah, well, I was going to give it up, but Michael won't let me.

Kathryn: Well, it's good to have a partner like that. I never met John's brother before.

Marcie: Well, Michael wasn't really close to his family for that many years, so --

[Phone rings]

Kathryn: I'm here. Go.

John: I'm down in the lobby. Those idiots are gone.

Kathryn: Have any luck?

John: Cramer's with me. He says he doesn't remember you.

Kathryn: Can't wait to remind him.

John: I'll meet you in the room. How long have those people been gone for, Nigel?

Nigel: Oh, they left just five minutes ago -- Kyle and Kay.

John: Kyle and Kay? Dear God.

Nigel: I have the distinct feeling they weren't any more federal agents than I am. Have you ever heard of the S.I.B.?

John: Let's go, Cramer.

Nigel: Oh. Much excitement.


Roxy: We made it. Ok, what do we do now? Maybe we'll hide you under the bed.

Kathryn: You know, I think I'll just lock up after you.

Roxy: I'm not going anyplace. I want to stick around here and play.

Kathryn: You know, I don't think that we play by the same rules.

Roxy: See? I got her back here safe and sound. Hey, Paul. What the hell are you doing here?

John: Yeah, Roxy, you and Nigel both did real good. Thank you.

Roxy: Well, good. Well, why don't you call him up and tell him that? He'll come upstairs.

John: You know what? Actually, I think this is going to be a private party. But thanks for coming.

Roxy: What's going on tonight? You know, I feel like a wallflower at an orgy.

John: You know what? Next time, I promise.

Roxy: Hmm.

John: Thanks again.

Roxy: Yeah, no problem.

John: Yeah. So, Paul, you remember this lady now?

Kathryn: Hello, Paul.

[Paul groans]


Rex: Where the hell have you been?

Riley: Spreading peace and love.

Rex: You should have been doing that here an hour ago.

Riley: I'm right on time, o master.

Rex: You're on time when I say you're on time.

Riley: Ok, Rex. Now, I am sorry your little club almost got shut down, and I almost want it to be open just as much as you do. But I'm not some little puppy that you can kick when you feel a little tantrum coming on.

Rex: Do you want to work this club, or should I find somebody else?

Riley: You want to play mind games, Rex? Go find a crappy little band that needs a gig. Otherwise, shut up.


Jessica: Wow. Jamie's out for the night. How are you?

Antonio: It's going to take some getting used to.

Jessica: Well, we won't be here for long. My mom just needs a little time to get her strength back.

Antonio: Right. You know, honey, it's going to take a while. I mean, it -- it doesn't happen overnight.

Jessica: Well -- yeah -- I mean that's why I'm here. I'm just going to make sure that that's -- doesn't happen. It's a long way off, and -- just going to think the best thoughts that I can.

Antonio: Good. Good.


Roxy: Two cards. You should have seen when Paul and that babe were looking at each other. It was like -- there was like electrocution going on.

Nigel: Well, I can understand why she was trying to avoid those very rude people. I need one of those recordings of a guard dog. See your pair, and call.

Roxy: Hey, you know, maybe they're long-lost lovers. And those two goons wearing pleather -- maybe they were sent in by the husband to drag her out of here.

Nigel: I don't see Detective McBain as a matchmaker, do you? Aces over eights.

Roxy: Five of a kind.

Nigel: No, Roxanne, that's only sixes over threes.

Roxy: Yeah, but I was playing sixes are wild.

Nigel: Uh-huh. All right. Now, you owe me --

Roxy: Hey, hey -- hey, Natalie, come here for a nightcap?

Natalie: No.

Roxy: You know he's trying to cheat me.

Nigel: Oh --

Natalie: I think I've had enough. Is Paul still up there with John?

Roxy: Oh, yeah, but something secret is going on. So, you know, they don't even want me to stay.

Natalie: Any idea what it's about?

Roxy: Well, it's about that mysterious lady. You know, the hot one I was telling you about.

Natalie: Well, what's her story?

Roxy: I don't know, but I think Johnny wants to help her. You know, why don't you go up there and ask her?

Natalie: No. He says it's business, then it's his business.

Roxy: Well, as long as he's not giving her the business. Right?


Kathryn: Remember me now, Paul?

Paul: You keep her away from me! I mean, you're a cop!

Kathryn: Where's the money, Paul?

Paul: What -- what -- what money are you talking about? She is crazy!

Kathryn: The money you stole from the Koriakus brothers in San Diego? You remember San Diego, don't you, flyboy? You wanted to make some quick cash flying stuff through customs? And then there was a big -- brown, leather, and full of cash. What did you do with it?

Paul: Get your hands off me, all right? I don't know what you are talking about.

Kathryn: There were two people right behind me, and they want their money, Paul. They're morons this time. Just recon scouts. But when they send in the heavy artillery, it's going to be too late. And the only way they're going to get to me is over your dead body.

Paul: Wait a minute. Wait a minute. What -- what are you going to do?

Kathryn: I don't need a sledgehammer to break bones. I'm going to use this.

Paul: What are you -- I mean, what are you -- we're in a hotel here, all right?

Kathryn: Who's going to report it?

Paul: Ok, ok. All right, all right. Just put the gun away, all right?

Kathryn: I can't hear you!

Paul: All right! Ok, I took the money, all right? God, I mean, it was there! It was illegal! I mean I figured it was there for the taking! But you know, I -- I had no idea it was going to land on you, honest! I'm --

Kathryn: You think I care about that?

Kathryn: Don't count on that to save you. Where's the money?

Paul: Look, I -- I told -- it's gone, ok? It's gone. I spent it on -- on partying and traveling and the racetracks, all right? I didn't keep count.

Kathryn: Don't lie to me!

Paul: No, all right! I don't have it, ok? I swear to God, I don't have it! All right, I may have, like, $6,000, but that's it!

John: He's too scared not to be on the level. You done with him yet?

Kathryn: All right. Get out of here. But don't go far. We're going to take a trip together.

[Door closes]

Kathryn: What am I going to do now? I'm dead.


Natalie: Paul?

Paul: Hey.

Natalie: Hey.

Paul: What are you doing here?

Natalie: I came here to check up on you. What's going on?

Paul: No -- it's no big deal. You know, it's just a misunderstanding, like I said.

Natalie: Yeah? About what?

Paul: Oh, this -- this woman -- she had me confused with someone else, so --

Natalie: Really? Someone else, or some secret side of someone I actually already know?

Paul: What?

Natalie: You're looking kind of desperate there, Paul.

Paul: Me? No, no, I -- no, you were -- you were right before. McBain was just sticking it to me for kissing you, so -- you know, come on. Let's -- let's get out of here, huh?

Natalie: Well, hold on. Is that woman still up there with John?

Paul: Yeah, she sure as hell is, and they deserve each other.

Natalie: Why?

Paul: Well -- I don't think she's going anywhere. I mean, not anytime soon. I mean, if you ask me, she's going to be kicking it with him tonight.


[Music plays]

Michael: Are we finally alone yet?

Marcie: Except for that moonlight up there.

Michael: That's good. Because this is a little more what I had in mind -- music, dancing. It's a shame Riley had to flake on us.

Marcie: Yeah. You mean you didn't plan for Roxy and her cop friend to come around?

Michael: No. It was a hell of a floorshow, though, huh?

Marcie: Yes, it was.

Michael: Oh, I really hope my brother isn't getting involved with something stupid.

Marcie: John just needs to give himself a rest, you know? Michael, do you remember when you said that we would know?

Michael: Know what?

Marcie: You know.

Michael: Oh. Yeah.

Singer: All the times wonderful holding on with the way

Marcie: Michael, I want to make love to you, and I want to do it now.

Singer: I will follow
