Dorian: And when I ring the bell, that's when you -- I'm sorry, I'm forgetting your name, dear.

Maid: Leela.

Dorian: Leela -- that's when you bring in the tea.

Leela: Yes, ma'am.

Dorian: Very good. It's so important that everything today be perfect for Aunt Betsy. Especially you, my dear girl. Oh, dear.

David: What?

Dorian: I should've taken you shopping. It's just too bare, David.

David: She looks great.

Dorian: Uh, yeah, too great. Um, that lipstick. Oh, no, no, no. David, your handkerchief, please. For today, a lot less gloss. Blot it down. Good, good, good. It's very important that you make an excellent first impression.

Adriana: It won't help. Aunt -- aunt whatever isn't going to give 30 million to someone who's married.

David: Uh, you and River are not married. We decidedly stopped you for your own good.

Adriana: Well, you stopped the ceremony. But in our hearts, we married ourselves on Valentineís.

Dorian: Whatever you feel in your hearts --

Blair: Whatever you feel in your heart has nothing to do with marriage. You can trust me on that.

###########################

Todd: Is the jury in?

Viki: Oh, no. No, no, no. I just thought you might want some company.

Todd: Ok. That trial was a disaster, wasn't it?

Viki: I wish you hadn't fired Evangeline Williamson and tried to represent yourself.

Todd: No, firing that broad was the smartest thing I ever did.

###########################

R.J.: So Jamieís spoon comes flying across the room and -- swoosh -- lands right in my pocket.

Evangeline: Hmm.

R.J.: So I figure, I don't know, maybe I've got an athlete scholar on my hands.

Evangeline: Hmm.

R.J.: And then she -- well, she drugged me, she took my keys, and went joyriding.

Evangeline: Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, R.J. I just can't stop wondering what the jury is doing.

R.J.: It's not your problem anymore. He is not your problem anymore. He fired you.

Evangeline: Yeah, I know.

###########################

Natalie: Hey. Ahem. Give me whatever it takes for a girl to get on with her life. Your call.

John: You want to run a tab?

Natalie: What?

Bartender: Do you want to run a tab?

Natalie: Uh -- no. No, I -- I'd better watch what I'm doing.

###########################

Nora: Hey, Marcie.

Marcie: Oh, hey! Is the jury still out?

Nora: Yeah, the jury's still out. Bo and John?

Marcie: They're in there.

Nora: Thanks.

Marcie: Mm-hmm.

Bo: Come in. Hey.

Nora: Hey.

Bo: The jury back?

Nora: No. Matthew's on an overnight and I'm quietly going nuts.

Bo: Well, you sure came to the right place.

Nora: Any word on Haver or Rae?

John: Taking our best shots, but nothing so far.

Nora: Well, mind if I pitch in so I can keep my mind occupied, instead of trying to figure out why the jury can't make up their mind?

Bo: Please do.

Nora: Thank you.

Bo: A fresh set of eyes can only help.

Nora: Oh. Jess-- what's going on? I don't believe this. Jessica Buchanan tipped off Stephen Haver that you were on to him?

John: I don't know what they're teaching at that college. This guy's killing women just like her.

###########################

Jessica: What are you doing here?

Stephen: I'm looking for a sympathetic ear, I'm afraid.

Jessica: Did you talk to the police? I know you didn't go the other day.

Stephen: Yes. Oh, yes. I'm afraid your suspicions were correct.

Jessica: They think that you're a suspect.

Stephen: I'm trying to look at it from the police's point of view, but I'm afraid that John -- John McBainís becoming unglued. I think he's trying to frame me.

Jessica: Wow. You told me he was going off the deep end, but I -- what can I do?

Stephen: Well, I think your uncle is a little more levelheaded about all this, so I was hoping you could help me get through to him. Could I come in?

Jessica: Of course. Sure, yeah.

###########################

Todd: I didn't mess up. Evangeline messed up, calling Marty to the stand. That was a dumb move.

Viki: Well, no, no, no. No, maybe not. I mean, the jury might very well see that as a very brave thing that she did. Come on, it was generous of her to come and speak up for the -- for the person who raped her. My concern is Blair. She gave very convincing testimony and it was very powerful, and I'm a little -- ahem -- I'm a little worried that, as upset as she is right now, she may no longer know what the truth really is.

###########################

Blair: Adriana, marriage is actually something you shouldn't rush into.

Adriana: I don't want to be rude, Blair, but River isn't like your husband.

Blair: Well, no one is. All I'm saying is that sometimes even true love isn't enough.

Adriana: Well, I'd rather risk my life on that than anything else.

Blair: What is that?

Dorian: A ring.

Blair: An engagement ring, huh?

Dorian: Oh, you two girls! You just have marriage on the brain. Now, would you excuse us? I have to finish talking to Adriana. Come, come. Come.

Blair: Dorian --

David: I'll tell you about the ring.

Blair: You -- you -- you stole that didn't you?

David: I did not steal that ring. We re talking about love and marriage here, Blair.

Blair: Oh, love and marriage? You actually expect me to believe that you'd love anyone other than yourself?

David: Dorian accepted my ring.

Blair: Dorian loves diamonds.

David: Look, I understand that you're all down on love and marriage this week, etc., Etc. --

Blair: Oh, shut up, David.

David: But I think you ought to know something.

Blair: What?

David: Dorian actually got under my skin all those years ago. It's -- it's kind of like malaria, the fever just keeps coming back --

Blair: Oh --

David: And you, of all people, ought to know -- are you ok?

Blair: I'm --

David: What?

Blair: Let go of me, I'm fine! I'm fine.

###########################

Adriana: You're engaged, and yet you're telling me that I can't be married?

Dorian: Look, my point is that you don't have to be either engaged or married in order to enjoy an admirer. And this simply proves that I'm the last person in the world to stand in the way of true love.

Adriana: Mine is true.

Dorian: It will still be true when you're 18 years old. And as your mother, I will be most happy then to give you my blessing.

Adriana: Even if Aunt Betsy dies and it means giving all that money back?

Dorian: Trust me, $30 million will buy you a very good lawyer. In the meantime, we have to make sure that we make Aunt Betsy very, very happy.

Adriana: What if she asks about my marriage plans? Hmm? I can't lie.

Dorian: You know, at your age, plans are merely dreams. You're under no obligation to mention River, especially since it will have the gravest of consequences for all of us.

###########################

Marcie: This is the kind of flower that Al --

Michael: Al used to get for you all the time. You told me.

Marcie: Oh. Right.

Michael: I know how much you like these.

Marcie: I do. And for the first time, I -- I don't feel weird about remembering Al and being happy that we're getting closer.

###########################

Nora: Wait, Troy was hypnotized by Haver?

John: Turned him into the perfect suspect. That's how he was able to get him to take hallucinogens day after day.

Nora: Oh, come on, Troy was just -- I mean, he was truly sick, and for the doctor who was supposed to be making him better to do that, I mean, that's just wrong.

John: Not as wrong as killing all those people.

Bo: Hey, hey. I think I got something here.

###########################

Jessica: I've never seen you this quiet before.

Stephen: I'm sorry. This is -- this is just so inappropriate. You're a student of mine, and I'm -- is Detective Vega going to be coming home anytime soon?

Jessica: No, I'm sorry, he's still away.

Stephen: He seems like a good man. I'm sure he could -- I just can't understand how Agent McBain could come up with this vast theory connecting my work to the actual murders.

Jessica: Must be horrible to be accused of crimes like those.

Stephen: More than you know. A smear like this could cost me my entire career.

Jessica: Oh, here, why don't you relax and take your coat off.

Stephen: I --

Jessica: I mean, look on the bright side, if the police were completely convinced, you'd be arrested, right?

Stephen: They don't have any evidence. That's the thing, they --

Jessica: No evidence? Well, then can't you prove that you're innocent?

Stephen: Proving a negative is next to impossible, especially in the court of public opinion. But there is no evidence, see?

Jessica: You dropped something. How -- how did you get Rae Cummings' I.D.?

Jessica: Rae wouldn't go anywhere without her I.D., And especially not now. My mom's increased security on campus since the music box murders and you can't get anywhere on campus without one of these.

Stephen: That's why Rae called me from Boston.

Jessica: She's in Boston? John's been looking for her.

Stephen: I put him in touch with her there. She's helping a suicidal friend at a hospital. She realized that she was missing her I.D., She asked me to check her office, and she was very relieved that I found it. I'm airmailing it to her tomorrow.

Jessica: Oh. Well, that's -- that's nice of you.

Stephen: Um, you won't tell anybody about this? She'd be very embarrassed. Uh, may I?

Jessica: Yeah. Sure. Of course. You know, I'm really -- I'm glad that you came by, actually. I think between us, we can -- we could really convince my Uncle Bo that John is completely wrong with this.

###########################

Bo: Look at this. One of the suspects in the white rose killings in New Jersey was interviewed by a psychiatrist from Windham Clinic.

Nora: You think that was Haver?

John: MacIver mentioned something about Windham, but he was too spacey at the time to tell me what the name meant.

Nora: You got an address?

Bo: No, not here.

John: I'll go check it out.

###########################

Michael: You going to knock off soon?

Marcie: Shouldn't you be in the E.R. Saving lives?

Michael: Well, I'm on call, but it's been quiet so far.

Marcie: I'm sorry, I just -- I canít.

Michael: Ok, well, I got tomorrow off. So, uh -- I don't know, if I actually get some sleep tonight, maybe we could do something tomorrow?

Marcie: Uh, sorry.

Michael: Come on, Marcie. They got to give you a break here sometime.

Marcie: No, it's not that. I -- I have this test that I really have got to study for. It's --

Michael: Hmm, a test. Yes, that's so much more important than having a social life.

Marcie: I have to keep my scholarship. You should understand.

Michael: No, I know, I get it, I get it. It's just that with you working here all the time and me at the hospital all the time, I just don't know when we're going to get a chance to see each other, sweetie.

Marcie: In our dreams.

Michael: You're joking, right?

Marcie: I don't know, what do you think?

###########################

[Phone rings]

River: Hello?

Adriana: It's me. I had to hear your voice.

River: Hey. Some honeymoon, isn't it?

Adriana: Well, I still feel married to you.

River: Well, then come over, sneak out.

Adriana: I canít. I have to meet Aunt Betsy tonight. I'm not even supposed to mention you.

River: Dorian is a ridiculous moneygrubber, I know. I'm sorry.

Adriana: I just don't want anyone to get hurt. And I guess the fact is she's my mother.

River: You know you're too sweet for your own good, right?

Adriana: What if I tell Aunt Betsy the truth about us? Then she'll cross me off her list and Dorian won't care about us anymore.

River: Look, please don't get on Dorianís bad side right now, ok? She's pretty brutal, even without 30 million reasons to give us hell.

[Doorbell rings]

Adriana: Oh, I think Aunt Betsyís here. I may have to go.

Dorian: Aunt Betsy! Oh, you look wonderful! I think those doctors are all wrong.

Starr: What are you doing here?

Betsy: Nothing to do with you.

David: Starr, why don't -- why don't you go find your mom. She wasn't feeling well earlier.

Starr: No, thanks. I hate my mom. She's throwing my dad in jail.

Betsy: Good for her! It sounds like that's where he belongs.

Starr: Look, lady, if you want another kick in the shin --

Blair: Starr Manning, I think you should just stop it here.

Dorian: Blair, look who's here -- Aunt Betsy!

Blair: Hello.

Dorian: Let me take your wrap -- or David will --

David: Let me get that for you.

Betsy: This better be worth coming all the way from Ohio again.

David: Oh, yes, Ohio is so beautiful in February.

Dorian: Aunt Betsy, it is my great delight and pleasure to introduce you to my daughter Adriana.

Adriana: It's nice to meet you, Aunt Betsy.

Betsy: We'll see about that.

###########################

Babe: You know, being pregnant and driving from Pine Valley to Llanview isn't really my idea of a good time.

Paul: Hey, you were the one that told me I couldn't show my face around Pine Valley. So, what's up?

Babe: I called the lab up in Canada, and the paternity test results on my baby; they're going to be ready tomorrow.

Paul: Had to come someday. How about we just go somewhere and get a nice room and we could figure out the answer to your problem?

Babe: I would, but you won't be around. I need you to fly up there tonight and steal a look at those tests.

Paul: And if it isn't J.R. Chandler's kid?

Babe: You make it J.R. Chandler's kid.

Paul: My idea, then yours.

[Babe chuckles]

Babe: Mine first. Honey, you do this for me and I'll make you so incredibly rich. And then after the baby's born, we'll have more fun than we can stand.

Paul: I can stand a lot.

Babe: That's how I remember it. So, here's the address.

[Phone rings]

Babe: Don't let me down.

[Ring]

Paul: Yeah?

Leela: Mr. Cramer, you wanted me to let you know when Aunt Betsy comes to visit.

Paul: Ok, when?

Leela: She's here right now meeting the young girl.

Paul: I'll -- I'll be right there. Damn it.

###########################

Todd: If I lose, I can appeal.

Viki: If you lose, you have to hire a professional like Evangeline Williamson to handle your appeal.

Todd: Yeah, she did a great job with my case.

Viki: Fine, then get another lawyer, but please, first, stop and think about what she had to deal with.  You are not an easy client.

Todd: I'm not an easy brother, either, am I?

Viki: No, you're a very trying brother. But you've come through for me a whole bunch of times, and I don't want to lose you to prison. Please call Evangeline.

Dorian: More tea, Aunt Betsy?

Betsy: Leave us, please.

David: Maybe you should, Dorian.

Betsy: You, too.

David: Oh. Right. Ahem.

Betsy: And shut the door.

Dorian: Right.

[David chuckles]

[Door closes]

Betsy: I must say, I have been puzzled by your sudden appearance in Dorianís life.

Adriana: I was adopted by a very nice family in Puerto Rico. My adoptive parents made sure I got a very good education with the sisters at my convent school. Dorian only told me I was her daughter a little while ago.

Betsy: I suppose you have a father?

Adriana: All I know is he wasn't a very good man.

Betsy: There's no such thing as a good man.

Adriana: I disagree. I think there are many good men. My father just wasn't one of them. He's the reason why Dorian kept me a secret.

Betsy: Your mother changed her mind because she wants my money. Hmm?

Adriana: I know it's very important to her. Not so much to me.

Betsy: Hmm. I was once innocent, beautiful like you.

Adriana: You're still beautiful.

Betsy: Not so innocent, huh? Tell me about your life in Puerto Rico.

###########################

Dorian: Things are going very well. Aunt Betsy just laughed.

Paul: You tried to pull another fast one on me, huh? Where is she?

###########################

Todd: You know, if you really want to help me, talk to Starr. I'm sure she's taking this rough.

Viki: I know she is. I'm her guardian. Of course I will talk to Starr.

Todd: But if I'm out of the picture for a decade or more, I just have to know that my kids aren't growing up thinking I'm some sort of creep.

Viki: So why don't you take some steps to protect your children and make sure that you actually are a part of their future? Hire a lawyer.

Todd: I'll think on it. Thank you.

Officer: Time to go, ma'am.

Todd: See you.

Viki: Call Evangeline. Todd Ė

###########################

Evangeline: Whoo!

R.J.: There you are.

Evangeline: R.J.?

R.J.: Hmm?

Evangeline: Are you plying me with liquor?

R.J.: "Plying"? "Plying"? Oh, I don't know. If it's working, we can go.

Evangeline: And abandon your club?

R.J.: Oh, Capricorn doesn't need me. That is what I have a staff for.

Evangeline: Well, if you've taken care of everything -- and I think you've taken care of everything -- so let's go.

[Phone rings]

Evangeline: Mmm.

R.J.: No, no, I didn't hear anything. You didn't hear anything.

Evangeline: I didn't hear anything, actually.

[Ring]

Evangeline: I have to get it. It could be a client.

R.J.: No, no, no.

Evangeline: It's very important, my life is important.

R.J.: They are all bad, bad people or they wouldn't need you.

[Ring]

Evangeline: No, I'm going to get it. Hello?

Todd: Hey, it's Todd, the difficult one.

Evangeline: Oh. Right.

Todd: Can I see you now?

###########################

Michael: No. No. Wednesday, no. Thursday. What about Thursday?

Marcie: Thursday? No, I have classes.

Michael: Ok, all right. Uh -- Sunday night is my next all-nighter. We could get together -- we could get together Monday, 5:00 A.M., for coffee.

Marcie: A.M.?

Michael: Yes.

Marcie: You call that a date?

Michael: No. No, I donít.

[Marcie chuckles]

Michael: This is impossible.

###########################

Bo: Thank you, John. Ready for this?

Nora: Hit me.

Bo: There was a huge fire at that clinic tonight.

Nora: Oh I heard about it on the news. Yeah, some of the storage tanks blew.

Bo: The fire started at the clinic and then it spread to the tanks, burnt the whole place down.

Nora: Arson?

Bo: Clinic's been closed for a couple of years. Local police and fire figure vagrants or vandals.

Nora: What do we figure?

Bo: As far as John can tell, there's no connection between Haver and the clinic.

Nora: So there's no reason to believe that Haver had Rae there.

Bo: No. Just another possibility that we have to fool around and check out just because MacIver mentioned it. What?

Nora: I'm sorry, I'm just -- I'm so frightened for her.

Bo: Let's get out of here, huh?

Nora: Hmm?

Bo: Let's just go and take a break. We'll get something to eat.

Nora: Sounds good. That sounds great. Hey, Michael. How are you?

Marcie and Michael: Hi.

Bo: We're going to -- we're going to go out for a while, so if John comes back, just tell him we're not going to be too long, all right?

Marcie: Can I do anything?

Nora: No, thanks.

Marcie: Ok. Bye.

Michael: Wow. Oh. What's up with them?

Marcie: Oh, they're frustrated that the music box killer's still on the loose and they have absolutely no clue who the next victim's going to be.

###########################

Natalie: Hey, Jess? Jess? I smell coffee in there. Jess, open up!

Natalie: Jessica! Jess, is that you? If that's you, answer, because I'm going to call in a burglary if that's -- Jess! I heard something in there. Hey.

Jessica: Hi. Sorry.

Natalie: Hi. Are we interrupting? I mean -- oh. Oh, Antonio came home and --

Jessica: No, no, it's not that. It's not that at all. I'm just interviewing somebody for "The Banner."

Natalie: Oh.

Jessica: Yeah.

Natalie: Not sexual harassment again, right?

Jessica: No, it's not sexual harassment. It's a kind of harassment, though, and my, um, subject is a little bit publicity-shy, so I can't invite you in. Sorry.

Natalie: That's all right. No, no big deal. Listen, I heard something spill, though. Are you ok?

Jessica: Yeah, yeah, we're fine. It's just kind of a heavy subject.

Natalie: Ok.

Jessica: Ok.

Natalie: All right.

Jessica: Sorry about that. It's just when she heard us --

Stephen: No, no, I'm sorry. I just -- I've just faced all the questions I can handle for one day.

Jessica: And Natalieís John's friend. I know you must feel bombarded wherever you go.

Stephen: I can't believe it has come to this. You didn't tell her I was here, did you?

Jessica: No, no. Of course not, no.

Stephen: Thank you. I just want to be the one to find the time when to tell people about this mess. This is --

Jessica: I understand.

Stephen: It's going to hit my colleagues and students like a bombshell.

Jessica: I understand. Of course.

Stephen: Thank you. I knew I could count on you.

###########################

Michael: Hey, John. Boy, you look terrible.

John: Thank you.

Marcie: Oh, the Commissioner and Mrs. Buchanan said that they would be right -- back. Oh.

Michael: What's up with him?

Marcie: Oh, I wouldn't worry about it. He gets like that when he's working. He's chasing a killer around three states.

Michael: Yeah, like I'm chasing you around two date books.

Marcie: I'm really not avoiding you, I promise.

[Pager beeps]

Michael: Oh, that's the hospital. I'll see you.

Marcie: Oh, ok. Um, thanks for the daisy.

###########################

Dorian: How dare you barge in like this? Have you been drinking?

Paul: You're pitching that girl to Aunt Betsy behind my back.

David: Paul, Aunt Betsy wants an unmarried female Cramer heir.

Paul: Is she in there?

David: Hey, hey --

Paul: Get out of my way!

Dorian: You get out of here or, so help me, we'll call the police and --

Betsy: What is going on out here?

Paul: Aunt Betsy. These two are keeping you from hearing things that you need to know.

Betsy: Such as?

Dorian: A pack of lies.

David: This guy cannot be trusted!

Paul: Such as Adriana here eloped last week to get married.

###########################

Stephen: Well, I guess I'm lucky that my face hasn't been splashed all over the newspapers yet.

Jessica: Oh, Dr. Haver, by the time that happens, it's too late.

Stephen: I know. What am I going to do? John McBain is so frustrated because he's two steps behind this serial killer, he will do anything he can to close this case.

Jessica: It's ok; we're going to get to my uncle before that happens.

Stephen: I'm not even sure if I'm ready to do that now.

Jessica: I'll come with you.

Stephen: Jessica, I can't tell you what your faith means to me. I, uh -- I don't have my car, it's in the shop, so I had to take a cab. Would it be all right if we drove up there together?

Jessica: Of course.  I'll even let you drive.

Stephen: All right. All right.

###########################

Caitlin: I love you, John.

Caitlin: Ah! John, I'm hit!

[Gunfire echoes]

[Knock on door]

John: Come in. Hey.

Natalie: Hey.

John: I'm sorry, trouble?

Natalie: Well, it's not with me, and I'm not sure that I'm doing the right thing by coming here, but I'm really -- I'm just having this really bad feeling that Jessicaís in trouble.

###########################

Dorian: You can't believe a word out of his mouth.

###########################

Viki: Sweetheart. You ok?

Starr: Hey.

David: You're a disgrace! A disgrace!

Starr: Oh, I hope we're going back to Llanfair. I don't want to stay here.

Viki: Honey, what is that all about?

Starr: Aunt Dorianís having a huge fight about money.

Viki: Oh.

Starr: Have you seen my dad?

Viki: Darling, yes, I did see him. That's why I came. He's fine. His only worry is you.

Starr: Yeah, well, I'm doing lousy.

Viki: Oh, Starr.

###########################

David: I can clear this up.

Dorian: Absolutely.

[All talking]

Betsy: Silence! One at a time! Adriana, are you married?

Adriana: No, I'm not.

Paul: She would be, except these two stopped her so she could qualify for your money.

Dorian: Aunt Betsy, may I please explain?

Betsy: Good god! Is that what I think it is?

Dorian: Yes, it is an engagement ring, because David and I are engaged. But we did everything that we could to stop Adriana from getting -- Adriana from getting married, um, because she's 16 years old, because she's so young, so sweet, so virginal, and she was being led astray by a wicked man.

Adriana: Wicked? River?

Dorian: No, Paul!

David: Aunt Betsy, why don't you ask Paul here, who was with them, trying to encourage Adriana here to get married so he could keep a shot at the big bucks?

Paul: I was only trying to help out two kids in love.

Betsy: Oh, I am appalled. I -- I thought you abhorred marriage as much as I do. Oh, you --

Paul: Aunt Betsy, just because --

Betsy: Enough! Adriana, are you still planning to marry?

###########################

Todd: Ok, I -- well, first of all, I was not wrong to fire you. You went after Blair. I commanded you not to. Secondly, it was a dumb idea to put Marty Saybrooke on that stand. We -- where you going?

Evangeline: I can't believe I interrupted a perfectly good -- you know what, Todd -- you're fired!

Todd: Wait a minute! I was about to say I was even dumber for representing myself! I dug my own grave. And now I'm facing prison.

Evangeline: The jury's still out.

Todd: Oh, come on.

Evangeline: You're not guilty yet.

Todd: I'm going down. And I need to prepare.

Evangeline: For what, prison?

Todd: For my appeal. I can't just go off to prison knowing I still have another chance.

Evangeline: Then you'd better find yourself a good lawyer.

Todd: Well, I want you. You don't lose, right? You can tell me to go to hell, but I'm asking you, please, find a way to help me. Please help me.

###########################

Betsy: Adriana?

Adriana: Right now, I have no plans of getting married.

Betsy: You realize if I make you my heir, you must never marry, ever?

Adriana: I understand.

Betsy: I am changing my will! I am making Adriana my beneficiary!

###########################

Viki: Honey, I do want you to stay just overnight, ok? Your dad would like you to smooth things over with your mother.

Starr: Promise to call when the jury decides?

Viki: Yes.

Blair: Viki, what are you doing here?

Viki: I just came to check on Starr.

Blair: You said that I could keep Starr overnight.

Viki: Yes --

Blair: Now, please -- please, I'm asking you -- you to leave now.

Starr: No, you can't!

Viki: Shh, shh. I'm leaving, I'm leaving. I hope you two get what you want, and I will pick Starr up in the morning, ok?

Blair: Thank you.

Blair: Starr, would you Ė

###########################

Dorian: Time's up.

Paul: This isn't over!

Dorian: Oh, come, darling. And, David, would you help Adriana freshen up the tea?

David: Adriana, you want to grab that?

Dorian: Thank you, sweetheart.

David: That looks heavy. Let me get the door.

Adriana: Thanks.

David: No problem.

Dorian: Oh, good. Goodbye.

[Door closes]

Dorian: Aunt Betsy, I can tell you you're never going to regret this.

Betsy: Oh, shut up! Anybody who would marry a man as venal as that Vickers is an idiot.

Dorian: Well, I'm sorry. David does have his faults, but he has some very splendid qualities, as well.

Betsy: Name one.

Dorian: Well, he's a magnificent, fantastic, superb lover. All right, he's sublime and -- of course, I shouldn't be discussing this with you since you've never enjoyed the pleasures of sex.

Betsy: Well, I thank the Lord that I am not a slave to animal appetites.

Dorian: You know, Aunt Betsy, I don't think you'd be thanking the Lord if you ever had experienced it because I am telling you; you don't need to be an animal to enjoy David intensely. You just feel like one.

###########################

Evangeline: If I accept, I get a free hand in your appeal.

Todd: Well, I still don't want Blair hurt --

Evangeline: Oh, my god.

Todd: So -- come on.

Evangeline: Look, the trial is over, so Blairís part is done. If you want me, no conditions.

Todd: All right. Handle it the way you want to handle it carte blanche.

[Phone rings]

Evangeline: Hello? Thank you. Your jury has reached a verdict. They took the evening off, but court will reconvene in the morning.

Todd: Will you be there?

Evangeline: 10:00 A.M.

###########################

Bo: Well, at least the jury made up its collective mind.

Nora: Yeah, but then we have to wait all night until we find out what the verdict is!

Marcie: John's back.

Bo: Is he in there?

Marcie: Well, he was, but then Natalie came in and they both rushed out.

Bo: I don't like the sound of that.

Nora: Where'd they go?

Marcie: I don't know. They ran out too fast to tell me.

###########################

Natalie: Jess? I'll get the spare key.

John: That's good security.

Natalie: Jess?

John: Hey -- slow up. You find anything, don't touch it, all right?

Natalie: Ok.  Jess?  What's that?

John: Caitlin's driver's license.

Natalie: He was here. The serial killer -- he was here.

John: Haver left it on purpose. He wanted me to know.

Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life To Live."

On the next "One Life To Live" --

Natalie: He actually thinks that these murders may be connected to the death of his fiancťe.

###########################

John: Caitlin's driver's license at the loft -- that was Haverís message he's got Jessica.

###########################

Jessica: We have to go back to the police station and deal with this.

###########################

Judge: Has the jury reached a unanimous verdict?

Woman: We have, your honor.
