Natalie: Wait -- what are you doing?

Roxy: Hold still. Johnny McBain saved you from the hostage thing, so you're going to be famous.

Natalie: Uh-uh -- Roxanne! If you mention that man's name one more time, I am not only going to cancel this dinner, but the next time you will speak to me will be out of an old age home.

Roxy: Good. Just get me a room with a view.

Reporter: Lieutenant Governor, any truth to those rumors coming out of the D.A.'s office?

Second reporter: Are you romantically involved with Blair Manning, who's charged her husband with rape?

Third reporter: What about your wife and your unborn baby?

Kelly: Blair? Aunt Dorian? Is anyone home?

David: Hello, beautiful.

Kelly: You live here now?

David: What, you mean these?

Kelly: Yeah. Just how close have you and my aunt become?

David: Just how close would be a problem for you, and --

Kelly: I love Dorian. I don't want to see her getting hurt.

David: Yeah? Well, neither do I.

Kelly: Well, then why are you thinking about sleeping with me?

David: I am?

Kelly: Yeah. Yeah. Absolutely. And from the looks of things, you're thinking about it really, really hard.

Dorian: Bo, Starr is missing, and it's obvious that Todd has kidnapped her. Now, really, how could you let that animal slip through your fingers?

Bo: Todd's been transferred to county lockup, Dorian. He's long gone.

Dorian: Are you sure?

Bo: Blair, what is this about?

Blair: Starr ran away, and we can't find her, Bo.

Bo: You know, Matthew's not where he's supposed to be, either.

Dorian: Your Matthew?

Bo: Yeah.

John: Did you reach Nora?

Bo: No. No, I didn't want to scare her, not yet.

John: Did I overhear you right? Your daughter's missing?

Blair: Yeah.

John: And your son's missing? Is that just a coincidence?

Evangeline: "Nora Gannon was terrorized in her beach home by escaped convict Todd Manning. According to police, Manning, sentenced to eight years in Statesville Prison for his part in the gang rape of a Llanview University undergraduate, Margaret Saybrooke, allegedly attempted to sexually assault Ms. Gannon at knife point, presumably in retaliation for her part in his conviction""

Nora: Reading up on a little history of your friend Todd?

Evangeline: I knew he had priors.

Nora: Those are just the ones we know about.

Evangeline: I'm not intimidated.

Nora: Neither was I. It almost cost me my life.

Evangeline: What do you want, Nora?

Nora: I want to offer you a way out of this.

Evangeline: I'll take my chances.

Todd: Why the hell did we stop? Hey, what's going on!

Todd: What's with you, man? What, did they dope you up?

Officer: There's a real sick little boy out there. His friend says he's got bad heart trouble. He needs a doctor.

Troy: Where is he? Can you at least undo my legs?

Starr: Please, hurry! Please!

Officer: Remember, I got my eye on you.

Second officer: Hang on, buddy. Doctor's here.

Starr: Dad! Dad, come on. You've got to run. Hurry -- hurry before they get here.

Nora: I don't want you to be blindsided the way I was.

Evangeline: I can take care of myself.

Nora: Evangeline, these articles -- they don't tell the whole story. Marty Saybrooke wasn't the first girl that he raped, and he would have added me to the list. When I was blind -- I'd lost my sight because of a medical condition -- I was defenseless. He broke in, held a knife to my throat --

Evangeline: Ok, it looks as though to me that you really did throw his defense. Now, I'm not saying that you deserved what happened to you --

Nora: I certainly hope not.

Evangeline: I don't think that, ok? But you double-crossed your own client. Sometimes, a defense attorney has to help set guilty men free. It's part of the job.

Nora: I don't regret what I did.

Evangeline: Well, maybe that's why you became a prosecutor.

Nora: Just trying to help you.

Evangeline: Right now, my job is to give my client the best possible defense.

Nora: Yeah. You get him off, he could rape again.

Evangeline: You don't know that. We don't even know that he raped Blair in the first place.

Nora: Oh, my God. Please don't tell me you're that naive.

Evangeline: Look, I don't particularly like the guy, and I don't have to. I signed on to defend him, and that's what I'm going to do, all the way to "not guilty."

Nora: Well, that's not going to happen.

Evangeline: Oh, we'll see.

Nora: No, you should know I want Todd Manning put away more than you can possibly imagine.

Evangeline: Well, I respect that, but I am not going to make it easy for you.

[Nora taps reports]

Nora: Ok, you've read these. You've read his record. As a woman, is this a man you can trust?

Evangeline: Look, 10 years ago, he was a frat boy football hero. He was a mixed-up kid with a big chip on his shoulder, ok? Somehow or another, he became the ringleader in a horrible gang rape. But that was a long time ago. That was before his marriage. That was before Starr and Jack.

Nora: And what about what he did to me, his defense attorney? You willing to ignore that?

Blair: Starr saw Todd being arrested. She asked me what rape was. I tried to explain it to her, but she was very upset.

Dorian: Her father's a criminal.

Blair: She loves her father, Dorian.

Dorian: Yeah, yeah, yeah. Well, the question is, where is she?

Blair: Would you let me tell the story?

[Dorian sighs]

Blair: Bo, she was extremely tired.

Dorian: Yes, which is unusual for her.

Blair: She's actually right about that. We have a very hard time getting her to go to sleep at night.

Bo: Ok, what time was that?

Blair: Around 7:30.

Bo: And then what?

Blair: Well, around 9:00, I went up to check on her, and that's when I found out she was gone.

Dorian: She stuffed her bed to make it look like she was sleeping.

John: She done anything like this before?

Dorian: Several times.

Bo: Do you think she could be with Matthew?

Blair: Matthew?

Bo: Yeah, Matthew. I mean, they're friends, ok? Starr has a way of talking Matthew into doing things that he normally would not do.

Dorian: Bo, Starr's no angel, but she's hardly some prepubescent temptress.

Blair: Would you stop! Our children are missing, Dorian.

[Phone rings]

Dorian: Yeah, and whose child are they going to look for first?

Blair: Stop, please!

Dorian: The commissioner's.

Officer: Commissioner --

Dorian: It's so obvious.

Officer: Line one.

Bo: Thank you.

Blair: Please, stop. Bo's under pressure.

Bo: Buchanan. Yeah, yeah, put him on. Where are you?

Officer: Just west of the Llantano Bridge. We have a real sick little boy out here. Paramedics are on the way.

Bo: One child?

Guard: A boy about 8. The girl that flagged us down was -- I don't know -- 10, 11.

Bo: All right, hold on. John? Prison van just stopped to help two kids -- a boy and a girl -- the ages are right. Did you get names on these kids? Hello? Officer? We lost him.

Blair: Bo, what's going on?

Todd: Shorty?

Starr: Come on! Let's go, Dad! We have to go now before ---

Todd: What are you --

Officer: Get away from the kid.

Starr: We have to go -- ow! Let go of me!

Officer: Ah! Damn it!

Starr: Dad! Dad, come on! Get up! You have to run! It's your last chance!

Troy: What's going on? What's going on, Matthew?

Officer: The ambulance is on the way.

Matthew: Starr, help! I don't want to go in an ambulance!

Officer: You're ok?

Matthew: Please just don't make me go to the hospital!

Officer: What's going on here, huh? Huh?

Matthew: Ow! Stop it! Dr. Troy, what are you doing?

Officer: Put the boy down now!

Reporter: Is it true that you'll be a witness in the Manning rape case?

Kevin: No comment.

Reporter: Is it true you're divorcing your wife to be with Blair Manning?

Kevin: My wife and I are making no statement at this time.

Reporter: What about your affair with Blair Manning?

Harrison: Ladies and gentlemen, please. The man is here just for a quiet dinner. If you don't mind, give us a break. This is the first opportunity I've had to congratulate you about your baby.

David: Sure, sleeping with you would be unbelievable --

Kelly: Oh --

David: No, hold on, hold on. Because a pregnancy could get you dead, Kelly.

Kelly: No, no, no, no, no. I -- I checked with another doctor. The first doctor was wrong. I had new tests. It's fine. It's totally fine. We can make a baby, and no one ever has to know about it.

David: Excuse me?

Kelly: What? What? This doesn't have to interfere with your relationship with Dorian or whomever you want to get together with. I mean, all I need from you is just, you know --

David: Just a little donation?

Kelly: Oh. No. Could be fun.

David: I --

Kelly: Oh, come on, come on. I promise you a night you'll never forget. What do you say, hmm?

Bo: Transport 22, this is Commissioner Buchanan. You copy? Do you copy? Over.

John: Get all available units to the west side of the Llantano Bridge. Have L.F.D. send a rescue vehicle. We want jennies, we want divers, we want auxiliary lighting -- whatever they got. We don't know what we're going to find at the scene. And, remember, we got kids out there. Any luck?

Bo: Dead air.

John: All right, I'm heading out there.

Bo: All right, I'm right behind you.

John: Got it.

Dorian: Bo, what is going on, and why were we left in here?

Bo: We don't know anything yet.

Blair: Well, is it Starr?

Bo: The van that was carrying Todd and Troy MacIver stopped to help two kids, a boy and a girl.

Blair: God, do you think it was them?

Bo: We don't know anything.

Blair: Well, what -- was Starr hurt? Do you know anything --

Bo: I'm on my way there right now.

Blair: Ok, I'm going to go with you, all right?

Bo: No, you're not.

Blair: That is my little girl, Bo! I want to go with you!

Dorian: We don't know that it is her. Hurry, Bo!

Blair: Dorian --

Bo: Exactly. I'll call you as soon as I know anything.

Blair: Just find them, please!

Bo: I'm on the radio if you need me.

Asa: Whoa, whoa -- where's the fire, son?

Bo: I'm in a hurry, Pa.

Asa: What's going on?

Bo: I got to go!

Asa: Wait a minute. Just give me a minute. You're a hard man reach.

Bo: Look, I've been busy.

Asa: Hey, I just wanted to tell you that I'm really very sorry about Gabrielle. You know, I know how much you cared for her.

Bo: Yes, I did. Now I got to go.

Asa: Wait -- she left some things at the mansion. I just thought you might want them.

Bo: I appreciate this, Pa. Thank you. I do. But I got to go, because I don't want to lose another person I love.

Matthew: Dr. Troy, the policeman said to put me down.

Troy: It's ok, Matthew. Drop the gun! Drop the gun!

Todd: What, are you crazy? Drop it!

Starr: What's going on?

Officer: Just don't try anything, Manning.

Todd: I'm not going anywhere.

Starr: Yes, you are.

Todd: Starr -- get down!

[Starr screams]

Officer: Get down!

Starr: Matthew!

Matthew: Dr. Troy, let me down!

Officer: Stay where you are! Don't move!

Troy: Drop the gun! Drop it. Drop the gun!

Officer: Put the gun down, MacIver!

Matthew: Dr. Troy, let me down!

Roxy: I'm not going to mention the person that you don't want me to mention, but I was standing there when that unmentionable person saved your life. So in my humble opinion --

Natalie: Oh, Roxy, you don't even know the meaning of the word.

Roxy: Well, maybe not. I just know that you were not grateful enough -- sorry.

Natalie: You are really making me crazy. You know that?

Roxy: Hey, baby, that's my job.

Natalie: Yeah, and saving lives is John's job. Solving crimes, chasing off the bad guys -- that's what he does.

Roxy: Thought you weren't going to mention his name.

Natalie: I'm not interested in John McBain.

Roxy: And why not?

Natalie: Now you're really starting to bug me.

Roxy: Hey, I told you, that's my job. See, if it was just left to you, you'd be at school and you'd be at work, and that's about 18 hours worth of -- so that leaves you about, what -- about eight hours for you to feel sorry for yourself.

Natalie: I am not feeling sorry for myself, Roxanne. I am grieving.

Roxy: Hey, honeybunch, I understand that. That's why I thought you-know-who could distract you a little bit. I mean, is it a crime for me to want you to feel better?

Natalie: No. You're right.

Roxy: I am?

Natalie: John's a good guy, and he -- he doesn't try to make me feel better, and he doesn't give me the "move on" speech. And he listens. He listens to me talk about Cristian.

Roxy: Well, honey, Cristian's gone, and you're young, and John's young, and --

Natalie: Ok, stop!

Roxy: Stop what?

Natalie: Roxanne, this -- just -- ok, we're friends. Ok, we're friends. He makes me feel a little less pathetic.

Roxy: Right. Isn't that good?

Natalie: Pretty much, yeah.

Roxy: There you go.

Natalie: And, yes, yes, I appreciate the fact that he's looking out for me.

Roxy: Well, great. Groovy. There you go. So I think that you should plump up that kisser of yours, and I think you should go over there and give Johnny McBain a proper thank-you.

Natalie: No!

Evangeline: I know who Todd Manning is and who he was. But I'm looking at this from an attorney's point of view, and that's something you might want to consider trying.

Nora: Really? Oh, thank you so much for the advice. I've been looking at this for a long, long time, Evangeline.

Evangeline: I've never lost a case.

Nora: Not until now. I'm going to win this one on its merits. Oh, and make no mistake that this is personal.

Evangeline: Your whole case is he said, she said. It's a husband's word against a wife's.

Nora: He's a pathological liar with two prior rape cases on record.

Evangeline: An unstable woman who shot one of her many former husbands in the back. Todd lied to Blair. He married her under a false identity, Walker Laurence, and she was furious. And who wouldn't be? Ok, who wouldn't be? She did anything she could possibly do to get him kicked out of her life, and what better way than to bring up a prior act and cry rape?

Nora: He lost control. He raped her.

Evangeline: That's debatable. What's irrefutable is the fact that she had sex with two men on the same evening.

Nora: I don't think that's a crime.

Evangeline: Depends on the jury, and the "she's a tramp" argument works pretty well.

Nora: Oh, do use that. Please try it. Absolutely.

Evangeline: Listen --

Nora: It'll backfire.

Evangeline: Nora, listen to me. Todd is innocent.

Nora: I thought so, too, 10 years ago.

Blair: Excuse me. Have you heard from Bo yet?

Officer: No, they're still en route.

Blair: Dorian, all this is my fault. First, I get Todd arrested, and now Starr's in danger.

Dorian: Nonsense. You were trying to protect your children, and with good reason.

Blair: What if she gets hurt?

Dorian: You're jumping ahead of yourself. We don't know anything.

Blair: Am I ever going to learn?

Dorian: Stop that. Ok, if anybody is to blame, it's Todd. He blew into town, ingratiated himself with you as Walker, totally confused Starr. If anything happens to her, it's his fault.

Blair: I'm not so sure about that.

Starr: Dad -- Dad, let go. You got to go. You've got to run, Dad.

Officer: You're not getting out of this, MacIver.

Matthew: I'm scared.

Troy: It's ok Matthew. It's ok. I'm not going to let the bad man hurt you.

Officer: It's ok, son.

Troy: See? See, Matthew? Everything's going to be ok.

Officer: You don't want this to go wrong, MacIver. Give us the kid.

Troy: Nothing's going to go wrong. Matthew and I -- we're old friends, right, Matthew?

Matthew: Am I in trouble?

Troy: No. No, Matthew, you're not in trouble. I just don't -- I'm going to make sure you don't get hurt, that's all.

Officer: We're on the same side, MacIver. Nothing happens to the boy.

Matthew: Please, put me down!

Troy: It's ok, Matthew. Just relax. It's just a little bit longer, Matthew, please.

Todd: Starr, I'm going to let you go, and I want you to run and hide behind the van. You got that?

Starr: No!

Todd: You have to.

Officer: Put the gun down, MacIver! Hey, freeze!

Second officer: Freeze, Manning!

Troy: What are you doing, Manning? What are you doing, trying to be a hero?

Todd: Matthew, it's all right. Just hang on. You're going to be ok.

Troy: Back off. Put the gun in the van! How old are you, Matthew, huh? How old are you now?

Matthew: 8.

Troy: 8 years old. Wow. You're going to be a big boy, huh? You're going to --

Todd: Leave him alone, MacIver.

Troy: What do you want to be when you grow up, Matthew, huh?

Matthew: A policeman.

Troy: A policeman. Look at that. How nice. Because policemen, they take orders, right, Matthew? Like if I ask these two nice policemen to put the guns in the van!

Officer: All right, all right. All right. Putting them in the van.

Troy: Do it. All of them! And close the door! Good. Now, lie on the ground, face down. Do it! You, too, Manning! Good. That's a good boy. All right, Matthew, ready to go for a ride?

Matthew: Where are we going?

Troy: Don't you worry. Don't you worry. You and me, we're going to have a little fun, that's all. Open the door. Yeah, get inside.

Officer: Don't do it --

Troy: Don't move! Get in, Matthew.

[Tires squeal]

Officer: This is prison transfer 22. We've got a fugitive on the run. He's in our van.

Starr: No, please, don't hurt him!

Todd: It's ok, Starr.

Starr: No, it's not, because Dr. Troy took Matthew and you didn't run! Why didn't you run when you had the chance?

Harrison: The leaks out of the D.A.'s office have you in a hotel room with Blair the same night her husband raped her. Now, if that's the case, these reporters are just the tip of the iceberg.

Kevin: I'll handle it.

Harrison: You'll do more than that.

Kevin: Are you asking me to resign?

Harrison: I'm going to ask you to keep your voice down.

Kevin: Well, do you want me to quit?

Harrison: That's not what I want. You're valuable to me in a number of ways.

Kevin: "Valuable."

Harrison: Kevin, you don't think I appointed you just to be nice, do you? I happen to like you, but that's just not enough to keep you around. I like what you bring to the table in Harrisburg.

Kevin: Well, what would you like me to do?

Harrison: Get rid of this mess. You've done a lot since your short term in office. You know, it'd be a shame just to put it to waste.

Roxy: You know, I hate it when you yell at me. I got so hungry, I feel like I could eat a whole cow. I'm going to turn into Mount Rush Llimbaugh or worse.

Natalie: I didn't yell at you. I should have yelled at you.

Roxy: Oh, no, you yelled at me.

Natalie: Roxanne, I said no, all right? Why can't you hear me? Why is it that you never listen?

Roxy: Honey, I heard you just fine.

Natalie: You just live in your little wacko world where love conquers all, a kiss makes it better, and you win the lottery and you're a billionaire.

Roxy: Yeah, well, sometimes it goes down like that.

Natalie: No. No, not in the real world. Ok? In my real world, my husband risked his life for me, to save my life. Ok, and for all that, for all that goodness, he was murdered. We were married for, like, what, a day? I have to -- I have to live with that every single day and dream about that every single night. So I'm not going to just forget it and move on, all right?

Roxy: Honey, I just said maybe you should give Johnny a proper thank-you, that's all.

Natalie: Right, and doll myself up so he might ask me out on a date.

Roxy: Hey, wait a second. No, I didn't say that. I just said, you know, maybe you're looking a little pale and, you know, washed out.

Natalie: That's my goal.

Roxy: You know, because, honey, you're gorgeous, and so am I. And I like lipstick, and so should you. So maybe you should just go over and see Johnny McBain and give him a proper thank-you. I mean, it's not like he's some Moe Schmo who just happened to open up a door for you.

Natalie: Ok.

Roxy: There you go. Go to the police station. The night is young. No time like the present.

Natalie: Goodbye. See you later.

[David mumbles]

Kelly: What? Come on, don't you want me?

David: No -- what, are you kidding? I've spent a lot of nights in bed alone sleeping with you.

Kelly: Well, then, what's the problem?

David: I can't believe I'm turning you down.

Kelly: Then don't! Why? Come on. David --

David: Because I'll tell you why -- because you want to have my kid and pass him or her off as Kevin's.

Kelly: Would it really be such a chore, David?

David: No, it wouldn't. It would not be a chore. It -- it would be a joy, but I can't -- I can't do it, Kelly.

Kelly: I don't understand. Why?

David: I can't stand watching you chase after some guy who doesn't even love you.

Kelly: He does love me. He does. Kevin and I are really none of your business. Come on, David, admit it. You care about me. I know you do.

David: You're right, I do. I care way too much. And I can't stand seeing you miserable.

Kelly: I'm not miserable. Just help me do this.

David: I can't, ok? I can't because I care about you and Dorian. And your whole fam-damnily.

Officer: We get around the bend, and suddenly we see this kid.

Bo: Matthew.

Officer: Yes, sir, the boy. He was lying in the road. And the girl, Manning's daughter, was standing next to him, waving her arms. We had to stop.

Todd: I couldn't run away with you, Shorty. You know how frantic your mom would get.

Starr: She doesn't want me to ever see you again.

Todd: I know she's mad, but I want you to know something. I didn't do what she said I did.

Starr: You mean rape?

Todd: Do you know what that is?

Starr: Sort of. So if you didn't do it, then Mom's lying?

Todd: Well, I think she's just misunderstood. You know how people get when they get mad, and then they cool down and they realize they made a mistake.

Starr: So you're saying Mom will do that?

Todd: I'm counting on it. I want her back, and I know you want her back. That's what you want, right?

Starr: More than anything.

Todd: Then you have to stop running away. What you did tonight was really dangerous.

Starr: Is Matthew going to be ok?

Todd: Absolutely. You have to start obeying your mother. All right? Can you promise me that?

Starr: No, I can't.

Bo: Starr? Did you talk Matthew into stopping that truck?

Starr: I had to. I had to get my dad free. I didn't know that Dr. Troy was going to take Matthew away. And even when my dad had a chance to run, he didn't.

Bo: This doesn't change anything, Manning.

Starr: You're not going to take him away again, are you?

John: Come on, Manning. Get on your feet. Let's go.

Starr: No, don't take him away! No, don't take him away from me, please!

Todd: It's ok, Shorty.

Starr: No, don't! Don't take him away from me! No!

Reporter: I'm with the Harrisburg Sentinel. We're doing a follow-up story on your upcoming new addition. When, exactly, are you due?

Kelly: Ah, that's between my husband and me.

Reporter: You had a press conference.

Kelly: Right, and as I said, we are deliriously happy about this new child. But it is a family affair, so if you'll excuse me --

Kelly: Hi. My name is Laura Jones, and I wanted to make an appointment to see a doctor about artificial insemination.

Asa: Hello, Governor.

Harrison: Asa, will you join us?

Asa: No, no. You two get along with your business.

Kevin: Is something wrong?

Asa: Yes. I'm -- I'm worried about my son, Bo. Hell, I'm worried about all of you.

Harrison: Well, we were just discussing his problem.

Asa: I was hoping that I'd live long enough to see a Buchanan in charge of this -- you know, this great nation. That might have been you, Kevin. What the hell's the point? He doesn't -- sure as hell doesn't look like he wants it.

Harrison: What do you say, Kevin?

Asa: Do whatever the hell you want. Governor, I tried.

Kevin: I don't want to quit, you know. I sure don't want to disappoint him.

Harrison: You know, once these reporters confirm your affair with Manning, they're going to be crawling all over you and all over me for keeping you on.

Kevin: Well, you just said you didn't want me to resign. What do you want me to do?

Harrison: You convince Blair to drop the charges.

Evangeline: I believe Todd.

Nora: That's too bad. I thought we could negotiate something here.

Evangeline: A plea bargain?

Nora: It's your best chance. I'm going to win this on rape one. Todd will go away for 20 years.

Evangeline: Then why plead him out?

Nora: Because it's going to get ugly -- really, really ugly -- for everyone.

Evangeline: No deal.

Nora: You sure?

Evangeline: Worried about your case?

Nora: Cut the act, Evangeline.

Evangeline: Ok, I suppose I owe it to my client to at least listen to your offer.

Nora: Ok. He pleads guilty to sexual assault. He does five to 10 years.

Evangeline: That's a second-degree felony.

Nora: He deserves worse.

Evangeline: Pennsylvania law is slippery on rape, marital rape in particular.

Nora: Technically, they weren't married.

Evangeline: Reduce the charge to aggravated indecent assault. Maximum sentence, five years.

Nora: A first-degree misdemeanor for rape? No way!

Evangeline: Todd would end up doing the same amount of time, and the odds are greater that he'll take the misdemeanor charge.

Nora: He's a repeat offender! The offer is felony two, or I tear him apart in court. You'll lose your first case and he'll go away for 20 years. What's it going to be, counselor? I told you this one was personal.

Bo: Nora, it's Bo. Call me as soon as you get this. It's important.

Blair: Oh, sweetie! Oh, my God, I was so worried about you!

Starr: Get off me!

Blair: What?

Dorian: Hey, do not talk that way to your mother or behave that way in public.

Starr: What?

Blair: Starr --

Dorian: It's a disgrace.

John: Nora?

Bo: She doesn't answer her cell phone. I got to find her.

John: Yeah.

Bo: On the radio.

Blair: I know that you we scared, sweetie. We all were.

Starr: I just want Dad back.

Dorian: There's nothing your mother can do about that.

Starr: Yes, there is. You could tell the truth. You could tell them that Dad didn't rape you.

Blair: Sweetie, I'm sorry, but that is between your father and me.

Starr: No! Tell the truth!

Blair: Starr --

Starr: Tell them that Dad didn't do it.

Blair: Starr, please? Hi, guys. Hey.

John: Ok, unit 13, there's a vacant office park near your location. Why don't you to check that out before moving on down to route 42. Yeah, what is it?

Officer: Highway patrol called. Appears MacIver slipped the roadblock.

Natalie: What's going on?

John: It's not good. What are you doing here? Is everything all right? What's the matter?

Natalie: No, I'm -- I'm fine. I just -- I came by to thank you for rescuing me at the gallery.

John: Well, that was mostly Antonio.

Natalie: Ok, well, thank you for letting me be mad. I know it sounds kind of weird, but you're the only one who will just let me get it all out. Everybody else wants me to be a hero or a widow or a basket case, and you just accept me for whatever comes out.

John: It's no big deal.

Natalie: It is. I'm tough.

John: I know. I get it.

Natalie: Anyway, you -- you got through to me. Thank you.

John: You're welcome.

Roxy: You know, I was hoping I'd run into you. How you doing, big guy?

Asa: You got something to say, Roxy, it better be good news.

Roxy: Oh, it's good, depending on your S.U.V.

Asa: What -- what planet are you from?

Roxy: Planet of Foxy Roxy, of course. You know, it was always my dream. And I think that's where Nigel got the idea.

Asa: What idea?

Roxy: To be an entremanure. Nigel bought a hotel in Angel Square.

Asa: Why am I just hearing about this?

Roxy: Because he was afraid that you were going to kill him.

Asa: Well, hell. It's all right. As long as it does not interfere with his work.

Roxy: Yeah, but, you know, the thing is -- are you armed?

Asa: Spit it out, Roxy.

Roxy: Nigel's quitting you.

Kevin: I can't ask her to drop the charges. She was raped.

Man: Kevin Buchanan?

Kevin: Yeah?

Man: Consider yourself served.

Harrison: Is that what I think it is?

Kevin: A subpoena for my D.N.A. sample.

David: Hey, you ok?

Kelly: No, thanks to you.

David: Look -- have you considered getting pregnant the old-fashioned way?

Kelly: Meaning what?

David: You could sleep with your own husband.

Kelly: All he can think about is Blair.

David: And you still want to stay with him?

Kelly: We belong together. We may be going through a rough touch right now, but we belong together.

David: Obviously, Kelly, he doesn't think so.

Kelly: Blair's stuck on Todd. She always will be.

David: Oh, ok. So you'll just take Blair's rejects?

Kelly: That's not what this is about. If Kevin would just give us another chance, we could make it work. We could be happy.

David: Absolutely, as long as you give up your pride and your dignity and your self-respect.

Kelly: That's not what I'm doing. Haven't you ever loved someone so much that you would do anything to hold on to them?

David: No.

Kelly: Well, that's too bad, David. It's really kind of sad. Relationships are about work. They're about sacrifice. And at the end of it all, it's all worth it. Kevin and I can get things back on track. You trust me.

Dorian: Don't let him fool you.

Starr: Can I have some orange juice? I've been through a horrible ordeal.

Dorian: Join the club. Say please.

Starr: Please?

Todd: Would it be ok if I had a moment alone? Thank you.

Blair: What happened?

Todd: Starr convinced Matthew to pretend to be sick, and she waved down the police van. There were guns. Troy really lost it. He got a hold of a pistol. Starr could have been taken, too.

Blair: You think Troy could hurt Matthew?

Todd: I think he's out of his mind. It scared the hell out of me.

Blair: Yeah. It scared me, too.

Todd: Then, please, Blair, end this, for our daughter's sake.

Evangeline: I will go talk to the judge about getting the hearing postponed. And I will take the offer to Todd, see if he takes it.

Nora: Make him see the light, ok, because the trial will devastate his kids. Good luck.

Evangeline: I'll be in touch.

Bo: Nora?

Nora: Hi. What's up? What's wrong?

Bo: Matthew's been kidnapped --by MacIver.

Nora: Is he all right?

Bo: We don't know.

Nora: What? He's got our son? He's got our son?

Bo: We're going to get him back. I promise you that.

Matthew: What are we doing here, anyway?

Troy: What do you mean, what are we doing here? We're hanging out. I miss you, bud. Remember when we used to hang out?

Matthew: Yeah, but my mom was with us.

Troy: I know. I know, Matthew. But listen -- just because your mom and I aren't friends anymore doesn't mean that we can't still be friends, right?

Matthew: She's going to be worried. Can I call her?

Troy: No, you can't call her yet.

Matthew: Why?

Troy: I don't know, Matthew. I just -- please, you got to give me time. I got to think, ok?

Matthew: About what?

Troy: Matthew, please, I just need to think!

Blair: I don't know what to do anymore.

Todd: Starr could have been killed because of us.

Blair: It doesn't change what you did. You raped me.

Todd: Do you really believe that? If I believed that for a second, I'd destroy myself. Tell me the truth. You tell me that you didn't want to have sex with me. You tell me I really hurt you.

Blair: You hurt me badly.

Todd: No. I know I lied to you. I know you feel angry for making love with me.

Blair: You took me, Todd.

Todd: No, no.

Blair: Yes.

Todd: I know why you're doing this. And maybe I do deserve it. You're killing Starr. Drop the charges -- not for me -- for her, for us. I think we're worth saving.

Blair: Come on, let's go. Come on. Come on, Starr.

Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life to Live."

On the next "One Life to Live" --

Nora: Why hasn't he called?

John: He will. Matthew's his bargaining chip.

Matthew: Can I call my mom?

Troy: No.

Blair: You have been subpoenaed to appear in court.

Starr: Why? What'd I do wrong?

Viki: What are you going to do about the rape charge?
