Kelly: I'm going to go call Family Services, see if they found his family.

Asa: Kelly, maybe it's a good thing that stray is here.

Kelly: Asa, I am not using an innocent child to save my marriage.

Asa: Kelly, you're running out of time. You got to do anything you can.

Jen: You were invited to all kinds of parties, Mom.

Lindsay: I'm not leaving you alone on Christmas Eve.

Rex: She wouldn't have to be alone.

Jessica: Did you hear from Jen?

Joey: Yeah, Lindsay called. She's with her. I thought Christmas would be so different.

Jessica: Me, too.

Joey: Antonio's not coming?

Jessica: No, his plane's stuck in Puerto Rico. They have mechanical difficulties, so looks like we're all alone tonight.

Blair: No, I am not going to let him win. And stop -- stop right now trying to talk me out of it. You got it? I am going to stick it to him until he breaks.

[Door opens]

Blair: I got to go.

Todd: Who was that?

Blair: Dorian, actually. It was very sweet of her to watch the kids for our first Christmas together. I can't wait to give you your present.

Todd: Me, too. It's going to be a big surprise.

Blair: You, too.

Marcie: I thought I'd be bringing Al home to meet the family this Christmas.

Luna: You're not just going to stand there, are you?

Al: Oh, what difference does it make, Luna? I'm back in Michael's body, but you know what? She is a very long way off from being in love with me, and I don't know how to make her love me by Valentineís Day.

Luna: Darling, just remember who you are inside. Marcie will find you there.

Luna: Oh, for heaven's sake, is that -- I -- is that delphinium? I think it is. And -- oh, you know what they say -- if it grows in the wintertime, it's got some sort of magical powers.

Al: Magic? Really? Like what?

Luna: Well, some people say that if you smell it, you can recover some sort of feeling that you've lost.

Al: Like love?

Luna: Yeah, reckon so. Hey, hey, wait -- darling, there's something else you need to know!

Kelly: Hey, hey, did you go see Santa? Yeah? What store did you go?

Jesus: Uh-huh.

Kelly: Que tienda? Is that the word for "store?Ē

Kevin: I don't know. Was that right?

Kelly: What do you want for Christmas?

Jen: How'd you know I was going to be here?

Rex: Didn't. I came by to see your Mom.

Lindsay: Oh. You didn't have to do that. That's -- oh.

Rex: You told me Paris was your favorite city.

Lindsay: Ah, thank you. Thank you much. Hey, did you get a chance to open yours?

Rex: No, I always wait until Christmas night. I'm good at waiting. So how's your New Yearís Eve party coming?

Lindsay: Oh, it's coming along. It'll be good if anybody actually shows up.

Jen: I didn't know you were having a party.

Lindsay: Ah, why not? It's a new start. New year, a new life.

Rex: You going to be there, or are you stuck with your husband's family?

Daniel: Hi. Sorry for barging in --

Lindsay: Hey.

Daniel: But, you know, the door was open, and I just wanted to drop this by.

Lindsay: Oh, thank you. Hey, they're beautiful.

Daniel: Merry Christmas. Listen, I won't stay. I'm going to a concert -- the Christmas concert downtown. And, you know, this might sound crazy, but, you know, I have an extra ticket, and if there's any chance that you might --

Lindsay: Oh. Well, I canít. I'm --

Jen: Go. No, go. Have fun.

Lindsay: Really?

Jen: Yes, yes. Go have fun.

Lindsay: You sure?

Jen: Be safe. Yeah.

Lindsay: All right.

Daniel: What do you say?

Lindsay: I'd love to go with you. Let me get my coat.

Daniel: I'll -- I'll be here.

Lindsay: Bye, guys.

Jen: Bye.

Rex: I didn't just come by to give your Mom a gift. I wanted to see how you were doing, too. Guess not great if youíre not with Joe.

Jen: You care?

Rex: Okay. Where is this coming from?

Jen: I saw you with that girl.

Rex: What, you were at Ultraviolet?

Jen: She was all over you.

Rex: You're jealous.

[Phone rings]

Jessica: Hello. Yeah. Yeah, she's here. One second. Natalie, it's Rodiís.

Natalie: Thanks. Hello. This is Natalie. Yes. Yeah, no problem. I don't mind covering for him. He should be with his wife tonight. Okay, bye. I'm going into work.

Jessica: Natalie, it's Christmas Eve.

Natalie: Look, I don't mind, seriously.

Singer: Peace on the earth goodwill to men

Todd: Why can't we just wait till Viki gets home?

Blair: Viki? Well, it's not exactly like she is our family. No, she needs to celebrate with her family, right? And we're not part of that. Are we?

Viki: Oh, you're still here.

Blair: Are you all right, Viki?

Viki: Couldn't be better.

John: Hey, Michael. What time do you want to head out tomorrow to see Mom?

Al: Ah, listen, I -- I really can't talk right now.

John: I should have known -- you're going to bail.

Al: Listen, I just -- I can't talk right now, okay?

Luna: Hey! Just because you're back in Michael's body doesn't mean you can ignore his life or his feelings. And what about all those good deeds you worked on?

Al: Where did Marcie go?

Luna: You listen to me. That whole business about that flower -- that's just an old wives' tale. And even if it did have some sort of magical powers, it wears off. And when it does, things are even worse than before.

Al: Worse?

Luna: Yes, worse.

Al: I don't think they could get any worse, Luna. You know, I know where Marcie is.

Luna: If Al gets Marcie to fall in love with him for a second time, it would kill him to lose it again. Oh, goddess.

Todd: I tried to tell Blair, but it was like she knew where I was going with it and she didn't want to listen.

Viki: You're blowing it by not telling her.

Todd: She's trying to take my kids away from me.

Viki: Well, the longer you play this game, the worse it's going to get.

Todd: I don't know how to make it right, okay?

Viki: Okay, all right. You know what? Go back to the beginning when you guys were first falling in love. Try and remember how that felt.

Blair: So, are you ready to go?

Todd: Yeah.

Blair: That is a beautiful flower.

Viki: Do you know, I was coming back from the shelter -- I took some food over -- and I was walking through Angel Square. I found it growing at the base of the statue.

Blair: In the middle of winter? That's --

Viki: It's remarkable.

Blair: That's weird is what it is.

Viki: Yeah. Incredibly, it has a fabulous fragrance.

Blair: Wow, they should bottle that.

Viki: Yeah. Something that rare should be preserved.

Todd: Let's go.

Blair: Merry Christmas.

Viki: Merry Christmas.

Viki: Get home safe. Merry Christmas.

Natalie's voice: "For Natalie on our first Christmas as husband and wife. I know we'll spend more Christmases together, but our first one's special. I love you more every day, and some day soon we'll be celebrating Christmases with our kids. Ready for that? Merry Christmas, Natalie. You are my world."

John: Hey, you open?

Natalie: What's it look like?

John: Yeah. Yeah, forgive me. Look, I've been working this case so long, all I hear are these damn music boxes in my head. Needed a change of scenery. Thanks.

Natalie: Yeah. I needed a change of scenery, too.

John: Well, then I'm glad you're open.

Ron: Marcie -- hey, Marcie -- you really don't think I'm going to leave you here alone, do you?

Marcie: Gordo's here. He'll make sure I get home okay. Don't worry about me.

Ron: Hey, hey -- this is something you need to do?

Marcie: It is.

Ron: Okay. Merry Christmas, Sis.

Marcie: You, too. I'll see you tomorrow morning?

Ron: Yeah.

Marcie: Don't go opening any Christmas presents without me.

Marcie: Are you following me again?

Al: Well, it's late, and there is a serial killer on the loose.

Marcie: The Music Box Killer is looking for a very specific kind of a girl.

Al: Yeah. Beautiful.

Marcie: In the Madison Kensington way.

Al: Listen, I'm sorry I went out with her. I wish I never had. Is there any way we could just not talk about that tonight?

Marcie: Oh, we don't have to talk about anything.

Al: What are you doing here?

Marcie: Came to be with Al.

Al: What?

Marcie: Well, Gordo, the station manager -- he gave the Spirit of the Night some time off, so, you know, they're just playing old Christmas music, and -- well, Al -- he would have came in, and he would have talked to everybody who was alone and didn't have anywhere to go. He would have spent his Christmas with them.

Al: That would have been cool.

Marcie: Yeah. Yeah, he was real cool, even if he didn't know it. I didn't even know he was the Voice of the Night for a long time. It was kind of a night like this. It was cold and it was snowy. And I heard this voice. He came on the radio, and he started talking to me, saying all these things that I needed to hear. I think that's when I first fell in love with him. Can I be alone?

Al: Yeah. Sure. I just wanted to give you something. I know how much you like Gerber daisies, but I found this.

Marcie: Thank you.

Al: It's a delphinium. They smell really good. Go ahead. Try it.

Marcie: You're right. It's beautiful.

Rex: Merry Christmas.

Jen: I don't want it.

Rex: Still mad at me?

Jen: I am not jealous. Okay, we're not even married anymore, so you can be with whoever you want to be with.

Rex: But I'm not seeing anybody.

Jen: What about that girl? And don't tell me that it was just her.

Rex: Look, you were spending Christmas with Joe, okay, so I thought that I could get something started with somebody else, but I couldn't. Jen, I just want you. And I don't know what happened with Joe tonight, okay, but if you're hurting, I want to make you feel better.

Jen: I am not going to get drunk and sleep with you.

Rex: You -- oh, okay, you think that that's all that I want?

Jen: Well, that's what always happens.

Rex: I want more than that, okay? And I think that you do, too. That's why you keep coming back. But if I'm wrong, then I'm out that door and out of your life for good.

John: You know, as bartenders go, you're all right.

Natalie: Yeah? Well, you don't speak.

John: You don't ask any questions.

Natalie: I guess I'm not so perfect.

[Door opens]

Natalie: Can I get you guys something?

Todd: Yeah. Champagne. Best on tap.

Blair: So, why did you bring me here?

Todd: I like it here.

Blair: So did Todd.

Todd: I know. I also know that you sang to him here. I bet he loved that.

Blair: He did. And I loved him -- then -- before everything went bad.

Todd: I bet that if he were still alive, I'd bet he'd want to come back here. I'd bet he'd want to be where it all started and start all over again and make it right this time.

Blair: I used to wish that.

Todd: Not now?

Blair: He's dead, remember?

Todd: But if he weren't, if he was able to come back somehow, would you give him the second chance?

Blair: No. Because I am married to you now.

Todd: You loved him.

Blair: Completely.

Todd: He loved you.

Blair: Mm-hmm. I know he did. I felt it every time I looked into his eyes, from the first time we met. Kind of like how I feel about you.

Natalie: Hope this is good enough.

Todd: It's fine. What do we toast to?

Blair: To the Wild Hearts Losers Club. That's what Todd and I called ourselves. We were the founding members of the Wild Hearts Losers Club.

Todd: Well, maybe that's the problem. Maybe you called yourself losers. Maybe if you'd thought of yourselves as winners, things would have turned out different.

Daniel: Oh, look, once again, I apologize. I thought it was going to be a classical concert, not a rock concert.

Lindsay: It's okay. It wasn't that bad, actually. You know, sometimes you just have to give things a chance.

Daniel: You know, my son Riley says the same thing. And would you look at this. The dead of winter.

Lindsay: Ah. Oh, that's the most beautiful thing I've ever smelled.

Al: Are you okay?

Marcie: I -- I don't know. I -- I feel kind of strange.

Al: Hold on. Let me see if you have a fever.

Marcie: I changed my mind. I don't want you to go.

Al: Then I won't go.

Marcie: I think there is something different about you.

Al: There's nothing different. I'm the same guy that loved you yesterday. I'm the same guy that'll love you for the rest of your life.

Marcie: I -- I can't believe this.

Al: Marcie, that's all you have to do -- believe.

Marcie: God, why didn't I see this before? You were there all the time.

Al: You know?

Marcie: How could I not?.

Al: You know who I am?

Marcie: Of course I know who you are. You're sweet. You're sensitive. You admit when you're wrong. You apologize for your mistakes. You know, you saved that kid, and you even made peace with your brother.

Al: You think I'm --

Marcie: You're Michael McBain. You're the man I love.

Al: Yeah. Yeah. But -- I mean, what about Al Holden?

Marcie: I'll always love Al. You're not so different deep down.

Al: No, I guess -- I guess you're right. I'm not.

Marcie: But I want to know you. I want to know everything about you.

Al: Well, there's not really much to tell.

Marcie: Come on, there has to be. Like -- well, why did you become a doctor?

Al: I went to med school because my dad died on an operating table at the hands of a drunken, incompetent surgeon, and I promised myself that I would never let that happen to another person. At least not on my watch.

Marcie: I'm sorry. I had no idea.

Al: Neither did I. I mean I never realized it until today, till just now. See, that's what you do for me, Marcie. You make me realize things about myself that I -- I never did.

Marcie: I can see it. It's in there.

Al: Then you can see how much I really love you.

Kelly: It wasn't so long ago that we wanted to save every kid like this. We wanted to save the world.

Kevin: I don't want to give up on that.

Kelly: It's just so much harder than we thought. All the politics and politicians --

Kevin: Oh, if we knew then what we know now.

Kelly: Well, maybe it's better that we didnít. Hey, you know what I was thinking about?

Kevin: Hmm?

Kelly: Do you remember what I gave you last year for Christmas?

Kevin: Of course I remember. How could I forget? You in a big cardboard box.

Kelly: Only the delivery guy got the address wrong.

Kevin: That's right.

Kelly: I will never forget the look on --

Kelly and Kevin: Mr. Clemens' face.

Kelly: My God.

Kevin: Especially when he saw you in what you were barely wearing. I mean, that --

Kelly: So you do remember. I was worried.

Kevin: Yeah, I remember.

Kelly: They're not all bad memories, Kevin.

Kevin: No. We just made a lot of mistakes, you know? Man, I wish I could take mine back, but I can't, and neither can you.

Kelly: We can make up for them.

Kevin: It's too late. You know what? I have to get back to my mom's.

Kelly: Hey, hey. It's Christmas Eve. You're not going to leave me?

Kevin: You deserve to be happy. I can't give you that.

John: This is you --

Natalie: It's none of your business.

John: Just saying it was a nice painting.

Natalie: You had no right to touch it.

Jessica: You know, it's -- it's going to take Natalie a really long time to get over Cristian, if ever.

John: Just trying to help her feel better.

Jessica: I don't think that she wants to feel better right now.

John: We going to let her get away with that?

Jessica: You don't know my sister. She's -- she's really stubborn.

John: Jessica, so am I.

Jessica: Yeah, but sometimes if you push Natalie too hard, you push her away. And if you really want to help her, you know, you should lighten up.

Blair: I smelled -- I thought I smelled that flower. That's the flower from Vikiís.

Todd: I love you, Blair.

Blair: I know you do.

Todd: I don't think you know how much. I'd do anything for you.

Blair: Todd said that.

Todd: Yeah. I know why. Because when you love someone this much, it keeps you going, you know? It keeps you alive. You know what I mean?

Blair: Once.

Todd: I think you still do. When you love someone that much, you can forgive them.

Blair: Are you talking about you, or are you talking about Todd?

Todd: Both.

Blair: I can't forgive Todd.

Todd: Why?

Blair: He's dead, right?

Todd: Then let all the bad things be buried with him.

Rex: To prove to you that I'm not trying to get you drunk.

Jen: Why don't you just go?

Rex: Tell me how you really feel.

Jen: I don't know what's going to happen now.

Rex: I am in no hurry, okay?

Jen: I mean, there's always a bunch of girls always just throwing themselves at you. Why -- why would you want me?

Rex: They all want something, something they can get out of me, and I was starting to think that you did, too.

Jen: Well, yeah, I used to think that about you.

Rex: I don't want to take stuff from you, Jen. Okay, I want to give you things. Whatever you need.

Jen: I need -- you.

Joey: Are you thinking about Ben?

Viki: Yeah. It's two Christmases now. I know the doctors told me there was no hope, right from the beginning, but, oh, Joey, I really thought by now --

Joey: We all did.

Viki: Then poor Natalie had to deal with it, you know -- what should have been her first Christmas with Cristian.

Joey: She's going to do it, though. She'll be okay. It's kind of like that flower you gave her. You know, something so beautiful made it through the harsh winter. It's a small miracle, but it's a miracle, nonetheless, and Natalie's going to make it, too.

Viki: How did you get so wise?

Joey: I had a lot of inspiration.

Viki: Oh. Asa, Merry Christmas.

Asa: Same to you.

Viki: Kevin, Sweetheart, how's the little boy?

Kevin: Oh, he's just fine.

Viki: Jesus?

Kevin: Yes.

Asa: Viki, you should see Kelly with that little guy. I can't wait till she has a baby of her own.

Kevin: Actually, that little boy helped me with a very important decision, and I wanted you to know what it was first.

John: Ho, ho, ho.

Natalie: What are you, Santa Claus?

John: Yeah, I'm Santa Claus, and I bought you a present.

Natalie: Fruitcake. Gee, just what I always wanted.

John: Yeah? You always wanted fruitcake? Good because I brought you a whole bunch.

Natalie: Where in the world did you get all of those?

John: Down at the station. Every cop gets at least three he doesn't really want. I don't know. All this time, I thought there was just this one fruitcake in the world that everybody was passing around. What the hell are you looking at? You're the one who told me to lighten up.

Jessica: I did. Well, enjoy your fruitcake.

John: Take one.

Jessica: Great.

[Natalie giggles]

Al: I just want help people heal, you know, and sometimes I get so caught up in it that I kind of forget my bedside manner.

Marcie: Well, you were fine with Ron. Well, most of the time.

Al: That's because of you, Marcie. You see, you make me a better person.

Marcie: What are you doing?

Al: What do you mean?

Marcie: I need to get out of here.

Luna: Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa -- let her go.

Al: What just happened here?

Luna: What did I tell you? I told you the magic wouldn't last, but do you listen to me?

Al: She loves me, though. She just said so.

Luna: Honey, she's not going to remember a thing. Oh, darling, I'm sorry. I'm just as sorry as I can be, but I told you.

Al: Oh, no, I'm not giving up now. Not when I'm so close. What's going to happen next?

Kelly: Please, God, keep this child safe. Keep him warm and fed and happy and loved. Help us to remember the spirit of Christmas so that we might be able to find some peace in this world and in our own hearts.

Kelly: And if you have time, I could really use some help. I just feel so lost. Help me find my way.

Kevin: I'm making good on my promises in Saranac, starting with more funding for more shelters for homeless women and children.

Viki: Asa.

Asa: Thank you. That's a very good notion, Kevin, but it does not win elections.

Kevin: I got into this game to do what I believe was right. I'm not backing down now.

Viki: Well, I, for one, am very proud of you.

Joey: That makes two of us.

Asa: Joey. I tell you, I just can't believe that that wild filly you married is causing you to leave town.

Kevin: It's just a leave of absence. I'm going to go visit Dad and Cord.

Jessica: Grandpa, you're here. Hello.

Asa: Hi.

Jessica: So, I saw Natalie, and, actually, she was having a good time. She was laughing with one of her customers and seemed very happy.

Viki: That's good. Now all we have to do is get Antonio home to you.

[Phone rings]

Jessica: Hello? Antonio, hi. Yeah, of course I'll wait up. Great. Okay, I'll see you soon. So, that was Antonio.

[Viki and Kevin laugh]

Jessica: And his flight's taking off. He's going to be home tonight.

Blair: Okay, I left my purse here. And where did I leave it? Not in here.

Viki: And?

Todd: You're right. I think she still loves me.

Viki: Did you tell her?

Todd: Shh. No.

Viki: Oh.

Todd: I will. I need to work on her a little bit more, and then I think maybe she'll forgive me.

Blair: Well, found it.

Viki: Okay.

Todd: Merry Christmas.

Viki: Merry Christmas.

Blair: Merry Christmas.

Viki: Oh, my, thank you. Thank you so very much for giving me what I most wanted for Christmas.

Al: Marcie, are you sure you're okay?

Marcie: Yeah, yeah, Gordo just came back from a break, and he said that a loop just broke and that there's going to be dead air if I don't find that tape. I know there was a tape of Al's that I wanted to play. I can't find it. So why did you become a doctor, again?

Al: You don't remember?

Marcie: No, you never told me. Where's that tape?

Al: You know, what do you need a tape for?

Marcie: Because I --

Al: You have a great voice. Why don't you just sing?

Marcie: Oh.

Al: Sing.

Marcie: Okay.

Marcie: Silent night holy night all is calm all is bright round yon virgin mother and child holy infant so tender and mild sleep in heavenly peace sleep in heavenly peace silent night holy night shepherds quake; at the sight glories stream from heaven above heavenly hosts sing alleluia Christ the savior is born Christ the Savior is born
