 >> Previously on "One Life to Live" --

Nora: Bo and I work together, that's it.

Gabrielle: I know that you two are friends, and it doesn't bother me.

Jen: I want someone who loves me and who isn't afraid to admit it. I guess we can get married at City Hall.

Joey: Guess there's nothing stopping you.

Bo: Take this man into custody. Come on.

Jessica: Antonio, I knew you'd come.

Marcie: "The artist's world is limitless. It can be found anywhere -- in the air around him or in the darkness or in light or in the sound of the wind. It can be found anywhere, the artist's world. It may be far from where lives or maybe a few feet away -- a very few feet away. Because the artist's world is limitless and it is always on his doorstep."

Al: Amazing.

Marcie: I know. I'm really getting into this art history class this summer.

Al: No, not the book. You.

Al: Marcie, I want to make love to you.

Marcie: Oh, my God.

Natalie: Oh, my God.

[Music blares]

Natalie: Cristian! Cristian, you've got to see this! Cristian!

Cristian: What, what? What is it?

[Natalie turns volume down]

Natalie: It's your review. Look what it says -- "Bold, daring. We want so see this new artist more." It's great!

Cristian: Wow. Can't believe this.

Natalie: Well, believe it. Your dream's coming true.

Cristian: Our dream. I wouldn't be here if it weren't for you.

Natalie: You always had the gift.

Cristian: Not like this. Because of you, I'm trying something new; I'm feeling something new. I want to go somewhere where I've never been before.

Flash: I want to go somewhere I've never gone before.

Riley: Where's that

Flash: I don't know, but after we cut this C.D., no more Llanview.

Man: What's up with her, anyway?

Riley: The Rev dumped her.

Man: Good news for you.

Riley: What?

Man: She's free.

Riley: I just don't like seeing her like this.

Man: Give it up, dude. Everybody knows.

Riley: Everybody?

Man: But her. So go for it.

Riley: I don't want to screw things up.

Man: Your business. You don't go for what you want, no way you'll ever get it.

Jen: If you don't go after what you want, you'll never get it.

Rex: Well, yeah, but, I mean, following Dr. MacIver around, taping him when he doesn't know it -- that's like --

Jen: It's for my film class, okay? And itís for my dad, who would still be here if it weren't for Troy MacIver. And I've got some pretty interesting stuff so far.

Rex: Okay. So we'll agree to disagree. How's that sound?

Jen: Perfect.

Adriana: Perfect.

Adriana: "Aunt Carlotta, I am going on a walk." Y ahora para el proximo paso.

Matthew: Now for the next step.

Bo: He's a natural, just like his Ma.

Matthew: Is Daddy a good dancer, too?

Nora: Yes, Honey, your father was a wonderful dancer.

Matthew: Okay, it's one, two, cha-cha-cha. Are you ready?

Jessica: Oh, are you ready? If you're not, I'll come back.

Antonio: No, no. Come in.

Jessica: You didn't have to go through all this trouble.

Antonio: No, I didnít. I mean, I wanted to. Would you like some iced tea?

Jessica: Yeah, I'd love some. Thanks.

Mitch: Down the hatch.

Jessica: I'm not ready for this.

Marcie: I'm not ready for this. I'm sorry.

Al: No, Marcie, I'm sorry. Look, I -- I didn't mean to pressure you. I just can't really help myself. I -- I want you, Marcie.

Marcie: Really?

Al: Really. But if you're not ready, you know, you're not ready, and I'm not --

Marcie: No. No, I am. I mean, I know that I said I wasnít. I mean, I want to. You know, it's just -- well, I just --

Al: You just -- you just what?

Marcie: Look at me.

Al: Yeah?

Marcie: I can't even wear a bathing suit. It's summer and everybody goes to the quarry -- everybody but me. You know, I just don't want anybody to see how I look.

Al: Marcie, I like the way you look.

Marcie: That's because you've never seen how I look underneath.

Al: When are you going to stop worrying about this silly stuff?

Marcie: I canít. You know, l my life, Al, nobody has ever been attracted to me.

Al: Yeah, well, listen; those days are over, Marcie.

Marcie: Listen, I know -- I know you say that you want to, but --

Al: Oh, believe me, I know that I do.

Marcie: Al, look at me.

Al: I'm looking at you.

Marcie: Look at the last girl that you went out with. Jen's like a model. She's gorgeous and she's thin, and I am so not!

Al: You are the woman that I want, Marcie!

Marcie: I can't do this. I don't know if I ever can.

Al: Why?

Marcie: I don't want you to be disappointed.

Antonio: Now, I don't want you to be disappointed.

Jessica: How could I possibly be disappointed after all that you've done?

Antonio: Well, you haven't tasted my cooking yet.

Jessica: No, I'm not talking about just tonight. It's everything that you've done for me, for my family. Thank you.

Antonio: I'm just glad everyone's okay.

Jessica: Yeah. So, um, how are things with your daughter? I mean, how's that going with the baby and with Keri?

Antonio: Um -- well, I've come to see a little more of Jamie.

Jessica: And Keri?

Antonio: Um --

Jessica: How's that going? How do you feel about her?

Antonio: Besides angry?

Jessica: Besides angry, yeah.

Antonio: You know, when I -- when I thought that Keri had died -- I -- I loved Keri. I mean, she was the love of my -- but when I found out it was all a lie just to keep my baby away from me --

Jessica: I -- I can't believe that she did that.

Antonio: Yeah, well, the Keri I knew -- I guess I really didn't know her.

Jessica: It must be really hard for you to understand.

Antonio: Yeah, but she wants me to. And she wants me to forgive her.

Jessica: You did love her once. I mean, you have a baby together.

Antonio: Yeah. Yeah, I realize that. And I -- I know what it means. We'll always be connected.

Riley: We'll always be connected. Look. There it is. It's official -- a song written by you and me.

Flash: We make a great team.

Man: You need something?

Adriana: Uh, no.

Man: Haven't seen you around here.

Adriana: I'm new to town.

Man: Where from?

Adriana: Puerto Rico. I think I should go.

Man: Hey, I won't bite. My -- my group hangs here, Midnight Logic. I'm Sheyne.

Adriana: I'm Adriana.

Sheyne: Can I get you a beer, Adriana?

Adriana: A beer? No, no, I canít. I mean, not just yet.

Sheyne: You want to hang out for a while?

Adriana: Yes. I would like that.

Flash: Just to meet you all right, what do you think?

Riley: I want to do something with the chorus, but great.

Flash: So what do you call this?

Riley: Uh, I don't have a title.

Flash: I can't wait to meet her.

Riley: Who?

Flash: The girl. The girl that you wrote this for. Riley, is she the one?

Riley: It's all me.

Flash: Yeah. That bites, huh?

Riley: You okay?

Flash: Yeah, yeah. Let's get back to it. I need focus.

Jen: Focus. Better.

Rex: So, you got a lot of good stuff?

Jen: Oh, yeah.

Rex: Of Dr. MacIver?

Jen: Who else?

Rex: I got to go. I'll be back with the surprise for you.

Jen: Sure, go ahead.

Joey: What are you doing here?

Jen: I'm working on a project for my film class.

Joey: So you didn't go through with it?

Jen: Not yet.

Joey: You know, Rex isn't good enough for you.

Jen: Yeah? Then who is? Not you. You know, I thought you were this great guy. I thought that you would actually be good for me. But you're more screwed up than I am. You keep saying I need help? You need help.

Natalie: You need help.

Cristian: How much did you pay this guy again?

Natalie: Cristian, you are always getting on my case about getting down on myself. Listen to you.

Cristian: Come on, Natalie, it's only one review.

Natalie: Yeah, and once it is read, people are going to come here and buy everything off these walls and you can quit your hospital job.

Cristian: I haven't even started my hospital job.

Natalie: It's going to happen.

Cristian: Yeah, well, it's not that easy.

Natalie: Yeah, it is. I can paint, too, you know. Look. See, this is us at our wedding. And here is our apartment in Paris. And over here is our loft in Soho.

Cristian: Okay. So where are we now?

Natalie: We're in our Llanview studio and I'm your paint mixer.

Cristian: Oh. Good.

Natalie: I just -- I still don't know how you do this.

Cristian: What are you talking about? You just painted a beautiful painting.

Natalie: Yeah, in my head.

Cristian: Well, that's where it all starts. Try something. Close your eyes. Okay, what do you see?

Natalie: Nothing.

Cristian: You got to try harder, okay? Try from here, from the heart. See it?

Natalie: Yeah.

Cristian: What?

Natalie: Beautiful colors. A whole rainbow. Bright sun and blue sky.

Cristian: Sounds beautiful to me.

Natalie: It is. And that's the way it's going to be.

Nora: And that's the way it's going to be. Matthew's going to keep asking questions about his daddy.

Bo: Sam.

Nora: Well, until he knows it's you.

Bo: But do you think he's ready? I mean, would he really accept me as his dad?

Gabrielle: Hey, hey, hey.

Bo: Hi.

Gabrielle: How was the prom?

Bo: Well -- Matthew was the man.

Gabrielle: Of course.

Nora: Well, Jani Aranow thought so.

Gabrielle: Oh, yeah? Oh, who's Jani?

Nora: Oh, well, she's the cutest girl in his class.

Matthew: Mom, the jukebox won't work.

Nora: It won't? All right, well, let's go get your quarters back and then we'll see if they'll turn the radio on. Excuse us.

Gabrielle: I'm so sorry that I wasn't here sooner.

Bo: Me, too. You know, I wish you could've seen Matthew. This kid is a natural on a dance floor.

Gabrielle: Well, that doesn't surprise me. I stopped by and brought us some things to look at.

Bo: Travel brochures?

Gabrielle: Mm-hmm. I was thinking since Mitch Laurence is now locked away in jail, perhaps you and I might be able to get away somewhere together.

Bo: Hmm. Well, this looks like there's some great fishing there.

Gabrielle: Mm-hmm.

Bo: Hey, did I tell you I got Matthew his own rod and reel?

Gabrielle: You did?

Bo: Mm-hmm.

Gabrielle: Well, also, we could take a cruise together.

Bo: That sounds inviting. A cruise. I got to take him deep-sea fishing, too, you know, hooking all the marlin there.

Gabrielle: So which do you think it should be?

Bo: I don't know. Where you want to go?

Gabrielle: I want to go anywhere where I can be with you -- just you. No phone calls, no interruptions. I want to get back what we used to have.

Joey: Can we get back to what we used to have?

Jen: Which was?

Joey: We were friends.

Jen: Right.

Joey: Well, I thought we were.

Jen: Come on, you were as hot for me as I was for you.

Joey: Okay. I'm human, you know? When a beautiful girl comes on to me and is all over me, I --

Jen: You think I'm beautiful?

Joey: Jen, don't start this. You know you're beautiful.

Jen: You started it. You just didn't want to finish it.

Joey: I didn't want to take advantage of you.

Jen: I know, I know. You don't want to have a relationship.

Joey: You didn't need a relationship, either. You were just -- you were hurting and you wanted somebody to make you feel better.

Jen: Well, what do you want? What are you looking for?

Joey: This isn't about me.

Jen: Well, what do you want? Why are you even talking to me right now?

Joey: Because I care about you.

Jen: Don't, okay? You know, next time you see me, just -- just walk away, just leave me alone, just let go.

Joey: I can't let go.

[Music plays]

Antonio: I -- I can't let go of Jamie.

Jessica: Oh, what about Keri?

Antonio: I don't know. I mean, she's -- she's Jamieís mother. And she's really, really good with Jamie. But those -- those months that she kept her away from me, I missed out on so much. You know, everybody -- everybody used to say to me that I had no rights to my baby, that I had no future. Except you.

Jessica: Well, she was your daughter -- or she is your daughter. You have a right to see her. I just said so.

Antonio: Yeah. That's when I knew.

Jessica: What?

Antonio: That you aren't a princess. There's -- there's a lot more to you than that.

[Music plays]

Antonio: Come.

Jessica: I'm sorry, I'm sorry. I can't do this.

[Music plays]

Al: I can't do this. I mean, what if she's not listening? What if it's not enough? I mean, it's definitely not enough. It's got to be special. Something really special. Aha. Marcie, I don't want you to be afraid of anything.

Antonio: I don't want you to be afraid. I'm sorry if I upset you.

Jessica: No, I'm sorry.

Antonio: No. No, please, you don't have to be, I mean, not after everything you've been through. I'm amazed at how steady you are.

Jessica: Well, I don't feel very steady.

Antonio: Look, Jessica, maybe -- maybe you should talk about this.

Jessica: I don't want to.

Antonio: All right. All right, we won't, okay, but I'm just giving you the same advice you gave me.

Jessica: And you didn't talk about it, either.

Antonio: No, no, I didn't, but ultimately I did and -- and it worked.

Jessica: I -- I can't, not right now. I should really go.

Antonio: No. No, no, no, donít. You'll miss my killer dessert.

Jessica: Well, you know, since you put it that way --

Antonio: And when you want to talk, I'm here.

Al: I'm here. Not my usual time, I know, but I have a special message for someone special out there.

Matthew: Mom, who's that guy talking to?

Gabrielle: Obviously, someone that he loves very much.

Al: You know who you are. I've talked to you this way before. I've told you how I feel about you, how beautiful you are, inside and out.

Marcie: You're talking toÖ.

Al: I'm talking to you. It's the only way I knew to get you to listen to me, to get you to believe me. I know what I see when I look at you, and if I knew how to say it better, well, then I would. But I'll leave it to the music.

[Knock on door]

Marcie: I heard you.

Al: Yeah? You believe me now?

Marcie: Yeah. I believe you.

Sheyne: I believe you, you're 21 -- in how many years?

Adriana: I will be soon.

Sheyne: Sure, chill. I'm not carding you. Ah, here's a brew.

Adriana: Hmm.

Sheyne: A lot of people come here to jam. You play?

Adriana: Um, "play"?

Sheyne: Music.

Adriana: Oh, si. I play the cello.

Sheyne: Cool, like Rasputina.

Adriana: Sure.

Flash: In the moment I surrender how'd that sound?

Riley: Great. I like it like this. In the moment

Flash: So lower. Okay, I can do that. In

[Flash coughs]

Riley: Hey, hey, hey, take it easy. Drink this. Are you okay?

Flash: I'm fine. Don't -- don't worry about me, okay?

Riley: I worry.

Flash: We're going to cut this C.D. I'm not going to let you guys down.

Riley: Look, I don't care about the C.D., okay? I care about you. I don't want anything to happen to you.

Joey: I don't want anything bad to happen to you.

Jen: To me? Okay, well, if Flash -- or Sarah -- is really your cousin, then that's sick.

Joey: Whoa. How do you know about that?

Jen: Well, I can see why you wouldn't want anyone to know that you're dating your own cousin.

Joey: I'm not.

Jen: What do you call it, then?

Joey: Have you been going through Flash's things again?

Jen: Oh, right, I'm the bad one here.

Joey: Wait. How --

Jen: Just leave me alone! I mean it!

Joey: Jen --

Jen: Leave me alone.

Rex: Jen!

Jen: Hi.

Rex: Get what you want?

Jen: What?

Rex: On tape. Dr. MacIver doing anything worth filming?

Jen: Wasn't what I had in mind.

Gabrielle: Not what I had in mind, but a dude ranch could be fun. I --

Bo: Honey, come on, it's a joke!

Gabrielle: Oh. Oh, you didn't --

Bo: Listen, if I have a chance to get you alone, we're not going to be riding any horses.

Gabrielle: Oh. What would we be doing, cowboy?

Bo: I want to take you to a place where you can just be waited on hand and foot, you can be pampered, you know, morning, noon, night.

Gabrielle: I don't need all that. I just need you.

Bo: Okay. Great. We'll do it, okay, right after I drive Matthew up to his camp. I offered.

Gabrielle: Yeah. Sure.

[Swing music plays]

Matthew: Mom said this song's just like the one that you guys won a trophy for.

Bo: Yeah. It is pretty darn close.

Matthew: Can you show me?

Nora: You want us to dance?

Matthew: Yeah.

Nora: I don't think Boís up to it.

Bo: Why don't you speak for yourself.

Nora: What are you -- Gabrielle, a little help here, please?

Gabrielle: I'd -- I'd love to see it.

Bo: There you go. Come on, let's give it a whirl for old times. Come on, we'll show them.

Woman: Whoo!

Nora: It's funny how you remember!

Bo: It's just like riding a bike!

Nora: Yeah, good, go ride a bike with him, Gabrielle. Oh. He's all yours.

Bo: What do you say, Honey? You want to dance?

[Slow music plays]

Gabrielle: Dance, eat, sleep. I want to do everything with you.

Marcie: You know, I want to do everything with you, Al. I'm just -- I'm just not ready to.

Al: It's okay, Marcie.

Marcie: I just -- I've never -- you know?

Al: Well, when we "you know," it's going to be perfect.

Marcie: It will be, because it'll be with you.

Al: Oh, I made you something.

Marcie: You did?

Al: Yeah.

Marcie: "Marcie's mix"?

Al: Yeah. It's all the things that I want to say to you, but I just -- I don't know, the music seemed to say it better. Hold on, let me just put this on for you.

[Slow music plays]

Marcie: I'm glad you're not mad at me.

Al: Mad at you? Marcie, I love you.

Marcie: For real?

Al: Oh, it's definitely real.

Marcie: I love you.

[Music blares]

Natalie: I love you!

Cristian: What's that?

Natalie: I said I love you!

Cristian: You're going to have to say it a little louder because I can't hear you.

[Natalie turns volume down]

Natalie: You just want me to keep saying that.

Cristian: Well, that's because I like hearing it.

Natalie: Oh, yeah? Then hear this -- I love you.

Cristian: Hmm. I like that, too.

Natalie: Yeah? How about this -- I love you.

Cristian: Oh. Sorry about that.

Natalie: Let's make it always be like this. I want it to last forever.

Cristian: Well, we've got forever. We've got all the time in the world.

[Slow music plays]

Al: There's all the time in the world.

Marcie: I don't know how I got so lucky.

Al: You didnít. I did.

Marcie: Oh, you didn't used to think so.

Al: Well, you didn't really like me very much when we first met, either.

Marcie: Oh, no. Till I saw what you were really like.

Al: Well, there's still a lot that we have to learn about each other.

Marcie: We have the whole summer to do it.

Al: Let's take longer than that.

[Slow music plays]

Gabrielle: Let's take longer. A week barely seems enough time.

Bo: Honey, I'm sorry. You know what, a week's about all I can really manage.

Gabrielle: As long as I have you.

Bo: Sir?

Matthew: Mom said we have to go now.

Bo: Oh. Hey, you know what? Thanks for letting me be a chaperone at your school dance.

Matthew: Can we go fishing before camp starts?

Nora: Matthew? Honey, Boís a busy guy.

Bo: Yeah, but, you know, I always got time to go fishing. Why don't I give you a call, we'll set something up, all right?

Nora: We should probably talk, too.

Bo: Yeah. Yeah, soon. Soon.

Nora: So, well --

Bo: I'll see you, Bud.

Nora: Thanks for letting the school borrow Bo, and now we'll get out of your hair. Good night.

Bo: Night.

Gabrielle: Good night. Is there a problem, hmm?

Bo: No. About what?

Gabrielle: Nora talking about needing to talk, you two?

Bo: No, see, we're talking about when is the best time to let Matthew know that I'm his dad.

Gabrielle: Oh. I thought -- but you're not going to wait on that?

Bo: No, you know what -- we want to do what's best for him. So we figure it might be better sooner than to wait till later.

Gabrielle: Well, you'll make the right decision. You always do.

Bo: I got to take care of this check.

Gabrielle: It isn't going to be easy. Hmm.

Adriana: But this isn't going to be easy. The lady I live with, my godmother, doesn't want me to go out.

Sheyne: Be there tomorrow night and I'll play something just for you.

Adriana: All right, then. I will.

Flash: Take a look into my eyes see my world so many things I've gone and done just to meet you

Riley: You got it.

Flash: No, no, I'm off. I'm off somewhere. Let me see the music.

Riley: No, really, Flash, you sound great, really.

Flash: No, no, there's got to be something better in there. Just -- "Flash of light"?

Riley: That's what I call it.

Flash: You said that you didn't have a title for this.

[Riley sighs]

Riley: I lied.

Flash: Why?

Riley: I wrote it for you.

Flash: Me?

Riley: I wanted you to know how I feel.

Rex: Listen; I wanted you to know how I feel, so --

Jen: Is this for real?

Rex: It's not zirconium. I got it all set up. We can stay for the "I dos," stay for the honeymoon. It'll be a blast. What do you say?

Jen: Sure. Why not?

Rex: Well, it'll be a laugh to see the look on people's faces, huh?

Jen: Yeah, wait till everyone finds out.

[Slow music plays]

Jessica: Wait until everybody finds out. Antonio Vega, super cop, is also a gourmet chef.

Antonio: Oh, no, no, no. No, no, no, wait a second, that stays here between us, you know, considering that I got stuck with that teddy bear?

Jessica: Yeah. Thank you so much, for everything. This was fantastic.

Antonio: Well, I got a confession. I had help.

Jessica: Your mom?

Antonio: Your mom. I asked her to make me a list of your favorite foods.

Mitch: Tell me your favorite foods and I'll have them prepared for you.

Antonio: What's wrong?

Jessica: Nothing.

Antonio: Let me help, Jessica.

Jessica: You canít. It's fine. I should really just --

Antonio: No, Jessica, come back.

Jessica: I'll call you. Uh, I was just leaving.

Antonio: Jessica --

Keri: Can we talk?

Antonio: Uh, now's not a good time.

Keri: Can see that. But it never seems to be a good time. Look, Antonio, I meant what I said before -- I love you and I want us to try again. Just hope it's not too late.

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life to Live"

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Gabrielle: Wow, the three of you together again here at Rodiís!

Antonio: I can't talk about this right now, Keri.

Keri: Why, because of Jessica Buchanan?

Cristian: Jess, Antonio understands what you're going through.

Dorian: You have got to accept the fact that Todd isn't coming back.
