Mysterio: A simple word like "jaguar" can compel you to fall in love with the first person you see.
Joey: You need to be dressed and gone by the time I get back.
Jen: Just a little something to remember me by.
Lindsay: Hello, Mitch. I've got your precious daughter.
[Captioning made possible by ABC, Inc.]
Flash: Uh -- I -- I knocked. Nobody answered, so --
Joey: I know. Why did you leave all of a sudden and just leave that note?
Flash: I am sorry. I just -- forget it.
Joey: No -- hey, wait, wait, wait, wait. Please. Whatever you're thinking, don't think it.
Flash: Hey, if you want to collect women's underwear, then that's -- it's ok. What you and Jen do, that's your business.
Jen: Hello? Is anybody here?
Jen: You scared me.
Antonio: Oh, gosh. I'm sorry. I was just looking for Jessica. . Is she around?
Jen: I guess not.
Antonio: Huh. I -- I left her just a little bit ago. She was working on Cris' new show.
Jen: Oh, yeah, I wouldn't know. I just live here.
Jen: I mean, she didn't -- doe she leave the doors unlocked at Llanfair?
Jen: It was wide open and there was trash on the floor. I mean, I guess she's just used to people picking up after her.
Antonio: It's chloroform.
Lindsay: I have your precious Jessica.
Mitch: What's the matter, Lindsay? Off your medication?
Lindsay: Do you want her to die?
Jessica: No! Help me! Help!
Mitch: I heard that. If you so much as harm one hair on her head --
Lindsay: You believe me. Good.
Mitch: Tell me where she is. If you don't, what I'm going to do, so help me, will be unspeakable.
Lindsay: You're scared, aren't you? He's scared.
Mitch: You listen to me.
Lindsay: I listened to you once, and you ruined my life. I will never listen to you. I lost everything. And now, it's time to pay you back. And I'm going to take your daughter away from you.
Lindsay: You can't stop me. Unless --
Mitch: Unless what?
Lindsay: Unless you come to the abandoned theater by the docks. You've been here before. Make it quick, Mitch. Otherwise, your beloved Jessica is going to die.
Mitch: Damn it, give the phone to Jessica now.
Lindsay: Get here soon, very soon, or else. Did I do ok?
Dorian: You were perfect. And you were perfect, too. I'm really sorry about all that tape, but I couldn't very well have you shouting to Mitch that I was here waiting for him. Please listen up! Stop this struggling. You're only going to hurt yourself. I don't want you hurt, Jessica.
Lindsay: Do you think this is really going to work?
Dorian: Of course it is. Hey, he believed you, didn't he?
Lindsay: Yeah, he was nervous and he was really scared, and I loved that part.
Dorian: Good. He's going to be here soon, so we have got to be ready. All right. Now, then -- Lindsay, I want you to hold this.
Dorian: What do you mean? You have nothing to be afraid of. Just hold it.
Lindsay: No! No! No! No! No!
Dorian: Ok, fine! You don't have to hold the gun, all right?
Lindsay: No killing!
Dorian: Nobody is going to get killed, but we are talking about Mitch here. Mitch -- Mitch, the one who was responsible for everything horrible that's happened to you in your life. Don't you remember that?
Lindsay: I can't do it! I can't do that!
Dorian: Wait a minute, Lindsay. Lindsay, don't leave. Lindsay!
Dorian: Ok. I guess it's just us now.
Johnson: You were right. Your wife did stash the diamond here. Unfortunately for her, that safe was pretty kindergarten.
Mitch: Give me the diamond.
Johnson: Do we wait for the Mrs. to come back? Show her what happens when she steals from us?
Mitch: That's the last thing I care about right now. Take me to the theater by the wharf. God help anyone who gets in our way.
Johnson: What's the big hurry?
Mitch: Lindsay Rappaport is not dead, which means that Blair Cramer was lying to me. I wouldn't be surprised if my wife set her up to it.
Johnson: You want me to teach her a lesson?
Mitch: No. I intend to reserve that pleasure for myself. I'm going to get quite a bit of enjoyment out of hearing their last gasps.
Johnson: And Rappaport?
Mitch: Her, too. But first, I've got to get my daughter.
Blair: All right, Dorian, where are you? Come on, answer.
Roxy: You son of a two-timing rat. You're cheating on me with her?
Nigel: I couldn't help myself. Ms. Divine is just too divine.
Asa: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Hold it. What the hell is this? This is a damn joke, right?
Renee: It isn't a joke. I'm in love with Nigel.
Nigel: And I'm in love with Ms. Renee.
Roxy: You're in love with her? What about me?
Asa: Wait. Hold it. The word "love," Nigel -- it doesn't make sense, girls.
Nigel: Love doesn't have to make sense, sir.
Renee: No, it doesn't, does it? The heart wants what it wants.
Joey: The way that got in here -- it's just a long story.
Flash: You don't owe me any explanation.
Joey: I know, but I want to give you one, anyway.
Flash: I really don't want to hear about your sex life.
Joey: That's -- that's kind of the point. See, it isn't about my sex life.
Flash: Please, please, don't -- don't.
Joey: Ok. How are you feeling? Any better?
Flash: I'm -- I'm taking my meds, since that was your next question.
Joey: You're right.
Flash: I just need to get better. I need to be able to sing.
Joey: And you will. Just take it easy, ok? Why'd you come back by?
Flash: I thought that I left something here.
Flash: Doesn't matter. I was wrong.
Jen: Chloroform? That's what they use to knock people out, right?
Antonio: It smells like it. It's kind of faint. Maybe not. Look, you said the door was open when you got here.
Jen: Yeah, I found that by the door.
Antonio: Jessica would never leave this place unattended like that.
Jen: Do you think somebody came here and used that on Jessica?
Antonio: Well, let's not jump to conclusions yet.
Jen: Mom, what are you doing here?
Lindsay: I'm so sorry.
Jen: How did you get out of St. Ann's?
Antonio: I was told she left with a female doctor, supposedly for tests.
Lindsay: I'm under a doctor's care.
Antonio: The nurse said she didn't get the doctor's credentials. Do you know who it was, Lindsay? Was it Dorian Lord?
Jen: What are you talking about?
Antonio: Was it Dorian Lord who took you from St. Ann's? And if it was, where is she now?
Lindsay: You get out. This is my home, and I did not invite you here.
Jen: Mom, it's ok. I asked him to come. Ok, when was the last time you took your medicine? You were so much better last time at St. Ann's.
Lindsay: Oh, you're so pretty.
Antonio: Lindsay, do you know where Jessica is? Is she in some kind of danger?
Lindsay: You have to understand that I didn't mean to hurt your father. It was an accident.
Antonio: Look -- look, Jen found this on the floor. Do you recognize it? How did it get here, Lindsay?
Lindsay: That's Mitch.
Antonio: What about Mitch?
Lindsay: I was trying to get away from him. I was in my car. I was trying to get away, but he kept putting something over my face and it smelled like that.
Jen: Mom? Mom?
Lindsay: It smelled like that. I didn't want to die. I didn't want to die, but I should've just sat in the car and died.
Antonio: Maybe I should take her to St. Ann's.
Jen: She's talking about when she was in the car, and we thought she was going to kill herself. Dr. MacIver, he smelled chloroform, and we thought that Mitch Lawrence was the one that did it.
Antonio: Was the police informed of this?
Jen: I don't think so. I mean, she just wasn't making any sense. I don't know.
Antonio: Ok. Look, Lindsay, it's ok. Listen, I think you might know something about what happened to Jessica. Please tell me. It's important. Did Dorian take Jessica or was it Mitch?
Dorian: Oh, I'm so, so sorry that that hurt. Really, I am. I -- I'm sorry.
Jessica: What are you going to do to me?
Dorian: This isn't about you, Jessica. This is about your father.
Jessica: What are -- are you going to kill Mitch?
Dorian: No, I'm going to take something away from him that is very, very precious.
Asa: What did you say?
Nigel: She said love wants what it wants.
Roxy: Oh, yeah? You better cool it, you --.
Renee: Oh! How dare you!
Roxy: How dare me? You're locking lips with my fiancÚ. We're supposed to be married tonight.
Renee: Obviously he changed his mind! And if you ever think of assaulting my man again --
Roxy: What did you say?
Renee: My man. My man.
Roxy: The hell he is.
Renee: The hell he isn't.
Asa: Mysterio, I think we're going to need some help.
Roxy: You better step aside, sister.
Renee: Yeah? If you want to get to him, sweetheart, you're going to have to go through me.
[Renee and Roxy scream]
Roxy: I'm going to get you!
Guard: Easy, ladies, easy!
Roxy: Let me go!
Asa: Stop! Stop your yelling! And you -- what is with you? What the hell have you got?
Nigel: As a youth, I was something a chick magnet, sir. I tried to hide my light under a bushel, but apparently, over the years, my basic animal magnetism continued to throb and grow.
Asa: Stop, stop, I beg you. Please. It gets worse by the minute.
Roxy: What did you just say just a couple of hours ago? I was the woman of your dreams. What the hell happened?
Renee: Well, the nightmare is over, so get on your broomstick and fly away.
Nigel: If you harm a single hair on that glorious woman's head --
Roxy: You can take Miss Divine hoo-ha and stuff her.
Renee: Don't listen to her, my sweet sweetheart.
Asa: For Pete's sake, it's Nigel.
Renee: Nigel, Nigel. It sounds like a bell in my heart.
Roxy: Oh, baby, I've had enough of this.
Nigel: No, ladies, please.
Roxy: Listen, Mrs. Hotsy-totsy over there, "the heart wants what the heart wants" bull --
Renee: Indeed it does.
Roxy: Well, let's just ask Nigel. You and me both know what your big, juicy, strawberries and cream puff daddy heart really wants, but for the sake of this walnut gallery, who really lights your pipes? Is it your red-hot mamalicious or that who-dragged-in-the-crap ex-madam over there?
Jessica: Can you please stop playing with that thing and let me go?
Dorian: I can't let you go, but I promise you I'm not going to hurt you.
Jessica: Well, then how about an explanation?
Dorian: Ok. Lindsay was supposed to be holding this gun on you when Mitch got here.
Jessica: And then what? What if he got one of his followers to go after you?
Dorian: Oh, he'd never risk your life. I mean, you seem to be the only thing in this world he genuinely cares about.
Jessica: So -- so when you said that you were going to take something precious away from him, then --
Dorian: His freedom. You see, we were going to get him to confess on tape. Lindsay was going to hold this gun and threaten to kill you unless Mitch admitted every vile thing he's ever done.
Jessica: So, I'm just --
Dorian: Leverage? Yes. Leverage. But, now, I can't do this thing all by myself. I mean, I can't be the one holding the gun on you because then the confession just might not hold because Mitch would just say that he had been coerced.
Jessica: So what difference does it make if Lindsay had held the gun?
Dorian: Because Lindsay is insane and nobody would believe his story.
Jessica: Well, I'm here. I'm a witness. So I guess you were lying when you said you weren't going to torture me.
Dorian: You know, you have been very hostile to me ever since I came back to Llanview.
Jessica: No. No, I -- I --
Dorian: Oh, yes, yes, yes. Don't deny it. It's been really obvious. But I think way down deep inside, you want Mitch stopped, punished as much as I do.
Jessica: That's a pretty big gamble. Mitch is my father.
Dorian: In the really big picture, what does that matter? We can do it. We can. We can put Mitch in prison for the rest of his life.
Jessica: No. No. My mom said that she found evidence that he coerced my grandfather into writing the will and he bribed a judge, so --
Dorian: Mm-hmm. The judge is dead. Case closed.
Jessica: No. No, no. Antonio said that there was enough evidence to arrest him and to make it stick.
Dorian: Oh, Antonio said, Antonio said, Antonio -- oh, please. The police have been saying that they were going to catch Mitch, punish Mitch, do all that. Did it ever happen? No. The man has been avoiding the law for years. And no, no, no, no, no. The only way to stop Mitch is to have a confession from him in his very own words on tape.
Jessica: It won't work. We could get hurt -- or worse.
Dorian: Mitch is a rapist. He tried to rape my daughter, Cassie. He raped your mother. He stole her -- her daughter away from her. It took you years to finally find your sister, and then what does he do but try to get her heart cut out. For what? For money? That's the kind of man he is.
Jessica: You married him. You brought him back here so he could hurt us all over again.
Dorian: I married him so I could stop him. I never loved him. He certainly doesn't love me. But, honey, he loves you. Oh, yes. You're his weakness, and that is why you are the only one who can stop him. He trusts you. Jessica, please. You can stop him from hurting anybody else. Do this. Do it for your family. Come on. Have you got it in you? Have you got it in you to stop this man from ever hurting anybody else again?
Antonio: Lindsay, I know you don't want Jessica to be hurt.
Lindsay: Make him go away!
Antonio: Tell me anything -- anything that might have happened with Jessica. Did you see her? Is she in some kind of trouble?
Lindsay: You have to stop Mitch. You have to stop Mitch.
Johnson: There's nobody here.
Johnson: Mr. Lawrence --
Mitch: Jessica! Jessica?
Nigel: What I'm trying to say is I've chosen her.
Roxy: Oh, my God. Why?
Nigel: I can't explain it. I just feel this mysterious pull towards her here and here and --
Asa: Hey, wait. I get you off cigarettes, and now what are you on, loco weed?
Renee: You spoke from the heart, my love.
[Classical music plays]
Renee: That's all we can ever do in this life.
Nigel: Oh, my little turtledove, my buttercup. Let's go and see if the honeymoon suite is available.
Renee: Do you think they have one of those little heart-shaped tubs? I've always wanted to experience a little heart-shaped tub.
Asa: Renee, look at me. Are you out of your cotton-picking mind?
Renee: No. I've found it. I've found everything that I've ever wanted.
Nigel: My lady.
Asa: You can't do that.
Renee: Why not?
Antonio: Lindsay, did you see Mitch Lawrence today? Did he do something?
Lindsay: He ruined everything.
Jen: I don't think she understands.
Lindsay: I do understand, but I need you to understand what I did. I didn't mean to hurt your father. It was supposed to be Troy.
Antonio: Maybe I can take you back to St. Ann's. You can talk on the way. Maybe you'll remember something else.
Lindsay: Don't want t to go back to St. Ann's. I like it here.
Jen: No, mom, he's right. You don't want to get in any more trouble.
Lindsay: I'm already in trouble.
Jen: I know. I know, but you've got to go back, ok? Come on, I'll come visit you.
Lindsay: No! I don't want you to come. I want you to stay away from me!
Antonio: Look, do you want to ride along?
Jen: No. No, I'll just wait here in case Jessica comes back.
Jen: It's probably past visiting hours anyway.
Antonio: The car's just down here. Look, if Jessica comes back or calls, call me on my cell, will you?
Antonio: All right. This way.
Lindsay: Find Mitch.
Flash: I want to know what you're up to with Joe.
Renee: Asa, give me one good reason why I shouldn't go off with Nigel.
Asa: How about 20? It's so obvious. It doesn't make one ounce of sense. It's crazy, and so are you.
Nigel: Show the lady some respect.
Asa: Whoa, whoa, whoa. What happened? First you warn me about these two. The next thing, you want him for yourself.
Roxy: Oh, I get it. You're the kind of broad who wants what you can't have. You saw Nigel and I together. You traipsed into the hair haven, dragging your attitude, you saw us together, and you wanted to take him away from me. Is that right?
Nigel: Ms. Balsom, you're becoming quite tiresome, as usual.
Roxy: Hey, you -- you don't come running back to mama when she kicks you to the curb, bucko.
Asa: Renee, what Roxy said -- she right?
Renee: What do you take me for?
Asa: You tell me.
Renee: Maybe I've always loved Nigel. We've lived in such close quarters over the years.
Nigel: Sweet pain.
Renee: And he really knows how to treat a woman. He anticipates her every need.
Roxy: Oh, yeah.
Renee: He knows when she wants to be alone, and he makes himself scarce. And then he make his presence felt when she needs him.
Asa: Renee! This is a damn butler.
Renee: Yes. Yes, he is, isn't he? He is a butler. But he's my butler now. Words just don't describe it. I'm going to take you upstairs and show you exactly what you mean to me. Are you ready, my darling?
Asa: I don't get it. What the hell makes him so irresistible?
Roxy: I don't know. I can't figure it out myself. But I haven't felt this bad since I divorced Max.
Asa: I need a bourbon.
[Tango music plays]
Asa: Where's the bartender?
Mysterio: There's a real bar in the lobby.
Asa: Great. Thank you.
Mysterio: Hey, twinkle toes, don't worry. I think I may be able to help you set things right.
Mitch: Damn it, Lindsay, where are you? Jessica?
Johnson: The place is empty, Mr. Lawrence.
Mitch: It can't be. Search it. Now! Johnson, what happened?
Blair: I happened.
Mitch: Who's there?
Blair: Don't you recognize my voice, Mitch? It's Blair.
Blair: And I will kill you if you dare hurt my family.
Mitch: Jessica? Lindsay, let her go! Let her go, or I'll kill you!
Blair: And how are you going to do that, blind man?
Mitch: Take me upstairs. Take me to my daughter.
Blair: Ok. Ok. Just put the knife away. Put the knife away, Mitch.
Mitch: All right.
Blair: I'll take you. Just -- all right. Big step right here. Two steps. Another two steps and then you take --
Mysterio: What if I told you that you weren't really in love with this butler?
Roxy: Nigel. His name is Nigel, and I'm crazy about him. Oh, don't you have anything softer? If I wasn't crazy about him, why would I be having these waterworks?
Mysterio: You're hypnotized.
Roxy: Yeah, right, butch.
Roxy: Yeah, well, whatever. You know I'm a lousy vessel. You can't hypnotize me with a brick.
Mysterio: Where's your boyfriend? Nigel?
Roxy: Nigel? Nigel's not my boyfriend. I can't stand the guy.
Roxy: Oh, I want to live with him so bad.
Roxy: He's such a prissy, uptight, conceited --
Roxy: Sweet, hot, sexy --
Roxy: The guy gives me hives.
Mysterio: Now do you believe me?
Roxy: Everything's spinning.
Mysterio: Put your head down.
Roxy: What's going on?
Mysterio: Well, I guess your vessel isn't as lousy as you thought.
Roxy: Hey, you watch it, buster.
Mysterio: The point is I hypnotized the butler and that other woman, too.
Roxy: Renee and nigel?
Roxy: Well, it serves her right. You know that Renee wouldn't even hire me to be a lousy hostess at The Palace? I told her I am a life-sized poster girl for the open-door policy.
Mysterio: Some things never change.
Roxy: So you're saying I'm still under the influence?
Roxy: Oh, great. So I got to get the bends every time some bozo says bour-- says the b drink?
Mysterio: No problem. First I'll fix you. Then, if we can untangle them, I'll nix the spell on your friends.
Roxy: Maybe we shouldn't do anything too hasty.
Flash: You bust in the rev's bedroom. You give me this big lecture on how I need to stay away from him because it would ruin --
Jen: Do you have any idea what kind of trouble he'd get in if they found you in his bed?
Flash: I do. That's why I cleared away. But what I don't get is why you felt the need to jump into bed with him.
Jen: What gave you that idea?
Flash: Your underwear. You don't really care about his reputation at all, do you? You just have the hots for him, or at least you want him to think that you do.
Jen: I don't think that's any of your business.
Flash: You know what? Kind of it is because I really care about Joe. And I think you're just stringing him along here. So what is it? Fess up, Jen. What's the game?
[Knock on door]
Joey: Jen? Flash, what are you doing here?
Flash: I -- I thought that I'd take up some art collecting. I needed to get something off my chest, so to speak.
Joey: Wait a minute, Flash. Hold on.
Flash: I've got things to do. And from the looks of it so do you.
Joey: Flash, wait!
Joey: Do you mind telling me how this ended up in my bed?
Jen: Sure. Why don't we just go back into the bedroom?
Joey: Jen, don't do this. What did I do now?
Jen: Not everything's about you, ok?
Joey: I know that.
Jen: My mom was just here. And she was fine before. She was fine. And now she's not making any sense. And I know she does horrible things, but she's still my mother.
Mitch: Where are you, Lindsay? Where's Jessica?
Jessica: I'm over here.
Mitch: Let her go. She's never done anything to you. Dorian.
Dorian: Yes, that's right. It's Dorian. And I have a gun pointed directly at Jessica's heart.
Mitch: I told you what would happen if you betrayed me. You should have listened.
Dorian: You just stop. You just stop right there, or Jessica is dead.
Mitch: No, you don't have it in you to kill, Dorian.
Dorian: Think again. Remember, you've underestimated me in the past.
Mitch: Jessica's innocent. She's never done anything to harm you.
Dorian: Yes, but this isn't about Jessica. It's about you and me. You want Jessica alive, and I don't give a damn.
Jessica: No. Please don't.
Mitch: Jessica -- Jessica, are you all right?
Roxy: That's it?
Mysterio: I hereby pronounce you un-hypnotized.
Roxy: Remember that kid you had talking like a parrot for six months? She ever press charges?
Mysterio: I've improved since those days.
Roxy: Oh, yeah, well, haven't we all?
Mysterio: So, shall we sojourn up to the honeymoon suite?
Roxy: Listen, Butch -- Mysterio -- you know, maybe we could have them stay under the influence. You know, just for old times' sake.
Mysterio: Those were good times, weren't they?
Roxy: Yeah, well what were the triggers?
Mysterio: The triggers? Well, to turn them on, you say --
Roxy: "Jaguar." And to turn them off? Well, that sounds simple enough.
Mysterio: Oh, it is. So now --
Roxy: Hey, Asa --
Asa: What the hell are you grinning about?
Roxy: Well, it must be Atlantic City. I feel like I'm holding all the cards.
Jen: I'm sorry, I'm sorry.
Joey: Feeling better?
Jen: I shouldn't have done that.
Joey: You ok?
Jen: Yeah, just peachy.
Joey: You could have fooled me.
Jen: You just got me at a really bad time.
Joey: You know, you can be honest with me, Jen. You don't have to pretend.
Jen: I'm not one of your angel square charity cases. Look, Antonio came by. He was looking for Jessica. He thinks something might have happened to her. So you might want to call him.
Antonio: Blair? Jessica?
Antonio: Sergeant, I need a forensics team at 202 Lincoln, ASAP. Yeah, I think I got a break-in. Thanks.
Antonio: Hello, Viki? This is Antonio. Is Jessica with you? I'm a little worried. I was at Llanfair earlier, and I'm at Blair Cramer's house right now, and the place is trashed. My gut is telling me that this is all somehow connected to Mitch.
Mitch: What's going on? Where's Jessica?
Dorian: Jessica can't help you now.
Mitch: I'll kill you, Dorian.
Dorian: I doubt it.
Blair: If we'd known a couple of women would have been too much for you, we would have left you for dead a long time ago, Mitch.
Dorian: Now, I suggest you pay attention because you are suspended, oh, at least 100 feet over the Llantano river. And you've got two choices here. Either you confess to all of your crimes or --
Mitch: Or what?
Dorian: Or die.
Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life to Live."
On the next "One Life to Live" --
Cristian: Look, I got to go, ok?
Natalie: To meet them?
Joey: Dorian would want to strike back.
Viki: And her very first target would be Jessica.
Jessica: Mitch, please, do what they say. If you love me at all, you'll confess.
