>> Previously on "One Life to Live" --

Lindsay: I shot my former husband, Sam Rappaport.

Gabrielle: Being parents doesn't always mean that you become lovers again.

Max: And do you think this could happen with Bo and Nora?

Antonio: You think I'm running away?

Jessica: I think by not feeling anything, you're running as fast as you can.

Mitch: It's finally here, everything that we've worked for.

Antonio: No! No, no, no, don't -- don't touch that.

Woman: Oh, thanks very --

Antonio: What's the matter with you?

Woman: What?

Antonio: What kind of mother are you?

[Flash coughs]

Man: You shouldn't have done that.

Bo: Yeah, I've got those files with me because I'm -- I'm working at home today. What? Well, I just wanted to let you know what it was in case you needed me. And you can -- you can pass that along to Nora Buchanan if she asks, okay?

Sam's voice: He needs his father, too. That's you, Bo. I'm sorry I kept this from you, but you're Matthew’s biological father.

Bo: I'm sorry about that.

Gabrielle: Don't be sorry. You needed to check in.

Bo: You know, what I really need is to spend more time with you. I wish I hadn't had to run out of here last night.

Gabrielle: The station needed you and Nora needed you.

Bo: Yeah. We got a confession for Sam’s murder. Quite a night.

Gabrielle: Yeah.

Bo: But you know, it really bothered me. You know, you said that you'd done something horrible?

Gabrielle: Yes, well --

Bo: How do you think that you dumping that job at "The Banner" -- that would upset me?

Gabrielle: Because I didn't want you to think that I was being impulsive and throwing away a job when it took me so long to get a real job.

Bo: Are you kidding me? I'm impressed.

Gabrielle: You are?

Bo: Yeah.

Gabrielle: Oh --

Bo: I just hope that that letter doesn't come back to haunt you.

Gabrielle: What letter?

Bo: The one -- the one you wrote to Mitch Laurence.

Gabrielle: Oh --

Bo: I just hope it doesn't give him incentive.

Gabrielle: No. No, no, we aren't going to hear anything about that letter, I can assure you. This morning is not about letters anyway.

Bo: No?

Gabrielle: No. It's about you and me. You and me.

Nora: Hello, Lindsay.

Lindsay: Hi, Nora. Weren't you here before?

Nora: Yes, I was. What a clear mind you have. Do you know why I left?

Lindsay: To go see Sam?

Nora: Lindsay, you know that's not possible. Sam's dead. You killed him.

Lindsay: No! No, it's not true! Don't you say things like that. Don't you say mean things like that.

Nora: Okay. I won’t. Let me just tell you this -- I'm going to have another psychiatrist evaluate you, and he's going to prove that you're as sane as I am.

Will: Hey, hey, leave my mom alone.

Dorian: Mitch?

Mitch: Dorian.

Dorian: The invitations to our little gala are being delivered even as we speak.

Mitch: Well, that doesn't guarantee anyone will show up.

Dorian: Are you kidding? "Mitch Laurence cordially requests your presence at Llanfair as he welcomes a surprise guest and makes a special presentation that will affect the house of Lord and the many lives of Llanview." Who could resist that intriguing offer?

Mitch: Um -- Viki?

Dorian: I guarantee you that Victoria Lord, etc., etc., will grace us with her presence, and I cannot wait to see the look on her face.

Mitch: What about your lovely niece Blair? What look do you expect to find on her face?

Dorian: When Blair finds out the truth about our relationship, there could be a problem. A very big problem.

[Doorbell rings]

Mitch: Hmm. I thought the fashion was to arrive late, not 24 hours early.

Dorian: Hmm.

Mitch: Dominic? I'm not receiving guests.

Dominic: Mr. Laurence is not receiving guests.

Blair: Yeah? Well, Mr. Laurence is going to receive me whether he likes it or not.

Woman: Come on, Honey.

Carlotta: Antonio! Ma'am? Ma'am, ma'am, please. I'm so sorry.

Jessica: Antonio, what's going on?

Antonio: I don't know.

Jessica: It was an accident. She was --

Antonio: Yeah, well, there wouldn't be any accidents if people would just take responsibility --

Jessica: Antonio!

Antonio: She's a mother and she has a child! She doesn't even care! I got to go.

Jessica: Wait a minute!

Flash: Are you going to call the cops?

Man: No. We can settle this ourselves.

Flash: Come on. I just -- I just wanted a few bucks. I was really, really hungry.

Man: Oh. I bet you get away with that a lot. Don't you, pretty eyes? Well, guess what -- not this time.

Joey: Hey! Let her go.

Man: Why? Because you say so?

Joey: Yeah, because I say so.

Nora: Will. You're back in town. When did you get here?

Will: I -- I just came down. Jen called me.

Nora: I'm so glad you're here. I'm -- I know this has been a hard time for you and your sister.

Will: Yeah, so why are you trying to make it worse?

Lindsay: Lanie? Lanie?

Jen: Mom --

Lindsay: I am so glad you're here. You've got to tell her to leave me alone.

Jen: Mom, it's -- I'm not Lanie. It's me, Jen. Your daughter?

Lindsay: Oh, no. You're not my daughter. My daughter's 10 years old.

Nora: Will, I'm sorry. I -- we have reason to believe that your mother is faking this.

Will: Well, she's in here, so someone obviously thought that she should be.

Nora: Yes. Yes, they did, but I don't agree with them, and so I need to get a psychiatrist here -- another psychiatrist -- to reevaluate her. If you'll excuse me, I'll go check and see where he is.

Will: Hey, Mom. How are you?

Lindsay: Oh, Will.

Will: Hey.

Lindsay: It's so good to see you. Thank you for coming.

Will: I got here as soon as I could.

Lindsay: Oh.

Jen: Mom?

Lindsay: What?

Jen: You know who he is, but you don't know who I am?

Lindsay: Well, don't be ridiculous, Jen. Of course I know who you are. Why wouldn't I know who you are? But where's your father? I have to see him, too.

Blair: Mitch! Mitch!

Dominic: You can't go in there.

Blair: Let -- let go! Like you're going to stop me?

Mitch: You're being extremely rude, Blair.

Dominic: I'm sorry, Sir. I tried my best --

Mitch: Oh, it's quite all right. But please do stay nearby. Ms. Manning has an alarming tendency toward violence.

Blair: What the hell is this?

Mitch: Well, it appears to be an invitation. Obviously, you didn't read it too closely. The party's tomorrow night.

Blair: Who's the special guest? Is it Todd?

Mitch: Todd? Whatever made you think that?

Blair: You know where he is.

Mitch: I'm sorry. I was going to invite him, but I wasn't quite sure where to send the invitation.

Blair: Todd didn't leave town because he thought I shot Sam. Because if he did, he'd be back already because he would know that Lindsay confessed!

Mitch: Yes, I read that in both my local papers. But perhaps Todd doesn't follow Llanview news these days.

Blair: Todd just better be back soon.

Mitch: Yes, well, for your sake, I hope so.

Dorian: Blair? What are you doing here?

Blair: Well, I think the bigger question is what are you doing here?

Antonio: Leave me alone.

Jessica: Why? So you can go and yell at some other young woman? Yore trying to make the pain go away. I did the exact same thing when Megan died. I went after Dorian --

Antonio: This isn't the same thing!

Jessica: No, it's not. Because when my baby died, I didn't lose the father as well, so I don't know exactly what you're going through, but I've been there, okay?

Antonio: Fine, Jessica! Fine! So you know.

Jessica: Yeah, but you know what I don't know? When are you going to stop feeling sorry for yourself?

Antonio: What?

Jessica: When are you going to stop trying to self-destruct to make the pain go away? You're yelling at young mothers, you're picking fights in bars. When are you going to face your loss? Face yourself and get a grip? Nobody's life is sunshine all the time, okay? Do you think you're the only one that's ever lost a baby or somebody that they loved?

Antonio: You through?

Jessica: Yeah, you know, I'm through.

Antonio: Good.

Joey: I said let her go.

Man: She stole my wallet.

Joey: Yeah? Well, she stole mine, too. She still has it, so she probably doesn't need yours. You got your wallet back. Now let her go.

Man: What if I don't? What are you going to do about it?

Joey: Whatever it takes.

Man: All yours, Padre.

Joey: Are you okay?

Flash: Leave me alone! Why the hell are you here?

Will: Um, Mom --

Lindsay: What?

Will: Dad's --

Lindsay: What? What?

Will: Dad can't come.

Lindsay: Why not? Why can't he come? I wanted us to be together. We haven't done anything as a family together in a really long time.

Will: Right, well -- well, I'm here now, so -- so we're together. Huh?

Lindsay: You're such a good boy.

Will: And you -- you just worry about getting better, okay? That's all you have to do is you get better. All right? Jen?

Jen: What?

Will: Can you stay here with Mom? I'll be right back.

Jen: Mom? Mom?

Lindsay: What?

Jen: If you're faking this, I need you to tell me.

Lindsay: Faking what?

Jen: I won't tell anybody. I swear, I promise. You just really need to tell me because I can't do this anymore.

Lindsay: Oh, your hair is so pretty. It's like baby-fine hair. You're my baby, aren't you?

Will: Nora, Nora?

Nora: Will --

Will: Excuse me.

Nora: I'm sorry. I have to apologize again. I don't mean to be so overwhelming. I just -- I have to have her reevaluated by a psychiatrist that I greatly respect, okay?

Will: Good, great. Whatever you think is best.

Nora: I'm so sorry about what you and your sister are going through.

Will: Right.

Nora: I mean, your father was a very special man. And he was so proud of you, Will, especially when you graduated from law school. The way he went -- if there's anything that I can do for you --

Will: Yeah, there is.

Nora: What is it?

Will: Stay away from my mom, please. Just let someone else handle the case. I -- look, even if she is faking, which I don't think she is, just -- you will never be objective, Nora.

Evangeline: Excuse me. Excuse me; I'm here to see Lindsay Rappaport. I'm her attorney, Evangeline Williamson.

Nora: Ms. Williamson?

Evangeline: Ms. Buchanan.

Nora: Ms. Williamson, I'd like you to meet Lindsay Rappaport’s son, Will. Will Rappaport.

Evangeline: Hmm.

Will: My mom hired you?

Evangeline: No, actually, I was hired by a third party.

Nora: Oh. Do you mind my asking who?

Evangeline: Now, that would be none of your business, would it?

Dorian: I am so sorry, but I could use a moment alone with my niece.

Mitch: Hmm. Perhaps you could teach her some manners. Dominic, I'll be in the library.

Dorian: What on earth are you doing here?

Blair: This! What if Todd is the special guest?

Dorian: Oh, please. Why would Todd be Mitch’s special guest?

Blair: Why? Because it's a sick joke that he's playing, and he knows where Todd is, Dorian.

Dorian: Oh, it could be anybody.

Blair: Oh, come on. Who's going to show up here for Mitch that anyone would care about, and who's missing? Todd, that's who.

Dorian: You are making too much of this.

Blair: You know, I'm going to ask you for the second time -- why are you here?

Dorian: I was just curious, that's all, only I was intending to be a bit more subtle.

Blair: You got an invitation, too, from Mitch?

Dorian: Of course I did. He invited you. Now, I want you to go home and stay home.

Blair: Fine, fine, but I want you to find out if Todd is the special guest, okay? Can you do that?

Dorian: Mm-hmm.

[Knock on door]

Bo: What the --

Bo: Oh, give me a break.

Gabrielle: What is it?

Bo: What is he up to now? It's -- it's an invitation to spend the evening with Mitch Laurence.

Mitch: Your niece is getting very tiresome.

Dorian: Don't you worry about Blair. I can handle her. She is not going to testify against you.

Mitch: Oh, there's no telling what that woman will do.

Dorian: She won’t. Now, aren't you going to thank me?

Mitch: For what?

Dorian: For slipping out the terrace door and then showing up at the front door. She didn't suspect a thing.

Mitch: You should've seen the look on your face when you thought she was going to find us together.

Dorian: Well, I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Mitch: We are quite a team.

Dorian: Yes. Quite a team.

Carlotta: I don't know how Antonio could do that.

Jessica: I don't know, either.

Carlotta: You know, he just hasn't been himself since Keri’s death.

Jessica: I know. I'm so sorry I went off on him.

Carlotta: Oh, don't apologize. I just hope it does him some good.

[Phone rings]

R.J.: Well, why aren't you out saving the world this morning? Oh -- that's right. You're not a cop anymore.

Antonio: I'm not going to do this, R.J.

R.J.: Well, you know, I suppose it's about time Bo Buchanan started to worry just who it'll be that you'll kill next. Well, I suppose he might give you one of those endless second chances, just as long as he can find a part of town without any women or children for you to endanger.

Antonio: I never meant for anything to happen to Keri or the baby.

R.J.: And Elizabeth. Don't you forget Elizabeth.

Antonio: I'm not forgetting anyone. But I didn't kill them.

R.J.: Right. They were just on vacation, out doing a little sightseeing. It's not like they were trying to get away from you and your restraining order.

Antonio: I'm not going to fight you, R.J.

R.J.: Fine. Fine, you go right ahead and drink the day away. Life goes on, right? For you, anyway.

Jessica's voice: When are you going to stop feeling sorry for yourself?

Antonio's voice: What?

Jessica's voice: When are you going to stop trying to self-destruct to make the pain go away? And when are you going to stop picking on young mothers and picking fights in bars? When are you going to face your loss? Face yourself and get a grip?

Bo: "As he welcomes a surprise guest and makes a special presentation that will affect the house of Lord and the many lives of Llanview."

Gabrielle: What on earth do you suppose that means?

Bo: "The house of Lord." I mean, his arrogance -- son of a --

Gabrielle: Yes, but --

Bo: But what?

Gabrielle: Well, not that I would want to spend any quality time with him -- not that I would go, not that I was even invited --

Bo: Oh, no, no, no, no, you're definitely not going. I'm going.

Gabrielle: What do you mean, you're going? I wouldn't have thought you'd give him the satisfaction of going.

Bo: I don't care who's satisfied. But if me showing up at his little shindig here -- if I can figure out what his next move is, then, yeah, I'm going.

[Knock on door]

Gabrielle: Oh, let me get that.

Gabrielle: Nora, hello.

Nora: I'm really sorry to be bugging you again. I'm sorry.

Gabrielle: It's okay.

Bo: Hey, what's up?

Nora: Hi, they said you'd be working at home, so I --

Bo: Yeah, not for much longer, though. Come on in.

Nora: Well, first of all, I brought you the Norton file. I did a little revision on the warrant.

Bo: Oh, great. Thanks.

Nora: And then, second of all, I just saw Lindsay at St. Ann's.

Bo: I bet that was a treat.

Nora: Ho-ho, better than you think. Guess who her attorney is. Evangeline Williamson.

Bo: Laurence put his attorney on Lindsay’s case?

Nora: Well, actually, she was very coy, that Ms. Williamson. She said she'd been hired by a third party.

Bo: Yeah. It's the same third party that's delivering -- hand-delivering his invitations.

Nora: What?

Bo: Take a look at this.

Nora: Oh, my God, I'm surprised you didn't burn it the instant you got it.

Bo: Oh, no, no, they may be checking those things at the door.

Nora: You're going?

Bo: Yeah, I'm going. You ought to go, too.

Nora: Oh, gee, I'd love to. I wasn't invited, didn't get the nod.

Bo: I'll bet you were. Yeah. Check your mail.

Nora: Well, that's a lot easier said than done. You should see the pile of letters I have on my desk. No, I'm sure it dates back to Mesozoic Period, but -- actually, I do have to go through it because I've got some letters from Sam’s estate.

Gabrielle: Oh, I'm sure there's not a rush on -- on that.

Nora: Excuse me?

Gabrielle: Well, no, what I mean is, I'm sure they don't expect you to rush through all of the estate things. Well, you've had a terrible loss.

Nora: I know, but I kind of have to, you know? For Matthew’s sake. I'm all he's got, and just got to make sure he's okay.

Will: God, I don't even know where to start.

Jen: With what?

Will: Everything. Like trying to figure out all this stuff. Dad's house. You don't want to live there, do you?

Jen: No, I don’t.

Will: Hey, you okay?

Jen: Yeah, I'm fine.

Will: Okay. It's just because you've been sort of quiet since we saw Mom.

Jen: Mom's crazy. She killed our dad. Why do you think I'm quiet?

Jessica: Hey. Sorry, I didn't mean to interrupt. I just -- the lights were on. I didn't know the gallery was open.

Will: No, no, you're fine. It's not, actually. We're just trying to figure out what to do with it.

Jessica: I really am so sorry. I didn't know that you came back.

Will: Kind of had to. A lot of decisions to make, you know? Like this place. I mean, what do we do? Do we sell it? Do we keep it? It means a lot to my mom, so --

Jessica: Well, can't you just hold on to it till she gets better?

Will: I'd like to, but, you know -- we -- we at least need someone to run the place till she does, so --

Jessica: Yeah.

Will: You don't happen to know anyone that'd be interested in doing that, do you?

Jessica: You know, I don’t. But I'll think about it, okay?

Will: Thanks.

Jessica: Well, I'm going to give you your space.

Will: It -- it's really good to see you.

Jessica: It was good to see you, too. Bye, Jen.

Jen: Bye.

Will: Well, I guess we'd better get started, huh?

Jen: Yeah.

Will: Ready to do this?

Jen: Mm-hmm, sure. Yeah.

Joey: We are taking you to a doctor.

Flash: No money.

Joey: We'll go to the free clinic.

Flash: All they're going to tell me is that I have a cold, and I already know that.

Joey: Well, you know what they say -- "Better safe than sorry."

Flash: Who says that?

Joey: I don't know. People.

Flash: Look, Rev, I'm sorry. I've got to go find C.J. in Hawaii. And, yes -- yes, okay, I took your wallet. Look, I took some cash out of it. I'm good for it.

Joey: I know.

Flash: I also charged a ticket.

Joey: To San Francisco?

Flash: How did you know that?

Joey: How do you think I found you?

Flash: Well, I'm going to pay you back for that, too. I just don't know when.

Joey: Well, you know, you could probably pay me back quicker if you had a job.

Flash: Yeah. Tell me something that I don't know.

Joey: Why don't you want one, then?

Flash: You mean mopping the floor at the community center? Doing all that feel-good thing doesn't really pay the rent.

Joey: No, I'm talking about your singing.

Flash: Nobody wants to pay to hear me sing.

Joey: R.J. Gannon already wants to reschedule your audition.

Flash: You talked to him?

Joey: Duh.

Flash: It -- no, it would never work.

Joey: How do you know that? At least give it a chance.

Flash: No, I have got to go find C.J.

Joey: Okay. Hawaii's a big place -- if he's even there when you get there.

Flash: I'm just going to have to look around.

Joey: Would it help if I told you I had an address?

Will: This is all his income from the firm. Stock portfolios, retirement fund, insurance policy, the deed to the house, the title to the car. That's it. Now we just -- we need to get, like, his bills, and his personal things. You know, clothes and -- I can't do this anymore.

Jen: So don't.

Will: We have to, Jen.

Jen: We don't have to do it right now.

Will: Yeah, well, it's sure not going to get any easier.

Jen: I know that.

Will: Look, I need you on this. I need you to help me because I cannot do this by myself.

Jen: I'm going to Mom's room.

Will: Wait, wait, wait. Are you okay?

Jen: I just need to take a nap.

Dorian: All right, which one do you think?

Blair: They're fine.

Dorian: Oh, I don't know. I don't think either one is right.

Blair: Since when do you care what you wear to Mitch Laurence’s party?

Dorian: Mitch may have a few secrets, but I have a few of my own.

Dominic: The equipment you ordered has arrived.

Mitch: Yes. Now I can get to work.

Nora: I think I'd better go down and see what files have been motioned, see if our friend Evangeline has filed any motions in regards to Lindsay.

Bo: Okay. Let me know.

Nora: I will. Oh, hey, Bo -- I want to apologize for interrupting you and Gabrielle.

Bo: Don't worry about it.

Nora: Oh, no, she's got to want to strangle me by now.

Bo: Believe me, Gabrielle does not have a problem with us working together.

Nora: Okay.

Bo: Okay.

Gabrielle: There can't be another letter. She couldn't have gotten one just like that. The one they delivered here was to Bo Buchanan and Nora Buchanan, so why would there be another letter? Okay, she -- maybe she did get one. The cover letter. The cover letter. Thank God I didn't burn everything. Oh, my God. "This letter is also being sent to Nora Buchanan."

Bo: Call me if you hear anything about Lindsay, okay?

Nora: I will.

Antonio: Commissioner --

Bo: Antonio.

Antonio: Bad time?

Bo: No -- well, that depends. Come on in. What's up?

Antonio: Commissioner, I -- I'd like my job back.

Bo: I'd like to give you your job back. But you're going to have to tell me why I should.

Antonio: Since Keri died, I -- I've screwed up. I've screwed up a lot, and I take responsibility for all of that. But that's not going to happen anymore.

Bo: Why not?

Antonio: Because something -- something happened today. I wasn't expecting it, but it kind of turned things around for me.

Bo: What happened?

Antonio: It was -- it was something somebody said. It made me kind of feel better. Not at the time. In fact, I almost did one of my usual numbers. But the more I thought about what she said and why she said it, I became a police officer to make a difference.

Bo: Don't make me sorry I'm doing this.

Antonio: I won’t. I won't, Commissioner. Thank you.

Bo: All right. Let's go down to the arms room, and you can draw your weapon again.

Antonio: Commissioner -- I'm serious. You won't regret this.

Bo: I'd better not.

Jessica: Hi. I'm sorry to interrupt, guys. I just -- I really need to speak to Antonio for a second, if he'll listen.

Flash: You have an address for C.J.? Where?

Joey: First, promise me that you'll go to the audition with R.J.

Flash: Yeah, sure, whatever. Are you kidding me?

Joey: How were you planning on paying to get to Hawaii?

Flash: I'll figure out a way.

Joey: Oh, yeah, like your last try really worked out.

Flash: I'll try harder this time.

Joey: How do you know C.J. even wants to see you?

Flash: I don't care. I want to see him.

Joey: What if the address isn't real? All I'm saying is, maybe we should check it out before you book yourself that ticket.

Flash: Yeah. And I guess I need to stock up on some sunscreen anyway.

Joey: And go to your audition with R.J.?

Flash: Look, just because I audition doesn't mean that I'm going to get the job.

Joey: I think it does. Besides, we have to stay and get that cough checked out.

Flash: Why are you doing this all for me, anyway?

Joey: Don't you know? I want my money back.

Flash: All right. You win. I'll stay. Now give me that address.

Joey: Okay. But I should tell you -- it's a naval base.

Jen: Will?

Sam's voice: As long as I'm alive, you'll never be alone.

Lindsay's voice: I want to confess to my friend Comm. Buchanan.

Sam's voice: I'm very proud of you, Sweetheart.

Lindsay's voice: Sam, why were you there? You shouldn't have been there.

Sam's voice: As long as I'm alive, you'll never be alone.

Lindsay's voice: Why were you there?

Sam's voice: As long as I'm alive, you'll never be alone.

Bo: Why don't you use my office?

Antonio: Thanks, Commissioner.

Jessica: I just wanted to apologize about what I said before. I'm sorry.

Antonio: You shouldn't be.

Jessica: What?

Antonio: Yeah -- no, I mean, it's not like I -- well, I didn't like hearing it when you said it, but, you know, it helped.

Jessica: It did?

Antonio: Yeah. Yeah, it did. I -- I should be thanking you. I got back something I really wanted.

Jessica: What?

Man: You Mrs. Vega?

Carlotta: Yes. Can I help you?

Man: Yeah. Tell your son -- the cop?

Carlotta: Antonio?

Man: Yeah. Tell him that Cole's looking for him.

Carlotta: Cole who?

Cole: Just Cole. He'll remember me. We're old friends.

Dorian: No. No. That's it. I'm going shopping.

Blair: What? Wait. No, no, no, no, no, you have to tell me what -- what are you doing? What aren't you -- what aren't you saying?

Dorian: Oh, for goodness' sakes! You told me that you were going to trust me. What happened?

Blair: Well, you know what? I don’t. I don't trust you, and even if I did, I don't trust Mitch Laurence. Now, tell me what you're planning, Dorian.

Dorian: I will tell you -- at the proper time. In the meanwhile, for the 100th time, trust me, will you? Now, go upstairs, take a nice, long, hot bath. And leave Mitch Laurence to me.

Blair: Oh, Dorian -- your stuff --

Blair: Hey. It's Blair. You need to get over here. Dorian's acting really weird.

Mitch: Come on, Baby, pop for old Mitch. Come on.

Mitch: Come on! Yes, yes, yes! That's not it.

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Viki: "Mitch Laurence cordially requests your presence at Llanfair as he welcomes a surprise guest"?

Dorian: Nobody wants to be left out, even by people they despise.

Mitch: I do like the way you think.
