Starr: I want to know why Dad can't come back here and move back in here.

Blair: Starr, it is not going to happen.

Jessica: Is that why you're moving? Are you just not happy being a part of this family anymore?

Todd: There's no way I would ever let you hurt my family.

Mitch: Watch me.

Victor: The future is in your hands. Don't let Mitch Laurence take your legacy.

Nora: You sure you want a rookie to handle this arraignment?

Hank: First-time jitters, huh? I like that.

Nora: Oh, I believe that Mitch Laurence should be chained to a wall for the rest of his life, but, still, I thought maybe you'd want to handle him. You sure?

Hank: No, no, no, I think it's time for you to get your feet wet again, Counselor.

Nora: Ha, ha.

Bo: Hey, Honey.

Jessica: Hi.

Bo: You think your mom's okay?

Jessica: Well, it's not easy, but she had to see him again. She had to face her father again.

Bo: Yeah. You know what -- I might just go over and check on her.

Jessica: No, no, no. She wanted to do it herself.

Bo: As long as she can.

Jessica: Well, she's scared, but I know she's strong enough to do it.

Bo: Mm-hmm. How about you, Jess? Are you strong enough to face your father today?

Jessica: Oh, there's Mom.

Viki: Hi, Babe.

Jessica: Hi. Did you talk to him?

Viki: Yeah.

Jessica: Are you okay?

Viki: Yeah.

Bo: You sure?

Viki: Yeah. We are here now to deal with Mitch.

Bo: Did Victor say anything about Laurence?

Viki: Not to me he didn't. Maybe to Todd, but Todd didn't say anything.

Bo: Todd saw him?

Viki: Oh, yes. Met his father for the first time.

Bo: Ooh. How'd that go?

Viki: One can only imagine. Where is he? Todd was supposed to be here.

Todd: Viki, yeah, it's me. Listen; when you get this message, you got to call me. You're not going to believe what Victor Lord and Mitch Laurence are up to. Call me right away. Got to get out of here.

Guard: Hey, you're not going anywhere.

Troy: You need something, Mr. Lord?

Victor: Am I -- am I --

Troy: Are you?

Victor: Am I dying?

Troy: I'm going to be straight with you, Mr. Lord. Your heart's failing. We've decided that it's going to be too long of a wait for a donor heart, so right now we're looking into getting you an artificial heart.

Victor: When?

Troy: As soon as we can.

Victor: I can't die.

Troy: Right now the best thing that you can do is to try not to stress yourself.

Victor: I must make things right.

Troy: We're doing everything that we possibly can.

Victor: Give me -- g-- give me --

Troy: Give you -- give you what? Give you what?

Cristian: You okay?

Natalie: Yeah. Yeah, I'm fine - really, I mean. You know, how about you? You're supposed to be at the doctor right now.

Cristian: Nah, don't worry about me.

Natalie: You got shot, Cristian.

Cristian: And I'm fine. Really, it's not even sore. Look, all I care about is making sure that you can handle this.

Natalie: You know, I wouldn't have been here right now if it weren't for you.

Antonio: Will he be checking his messages? Yes, let him know I need to speak to him right away. Thank you.

Cristian: What's up, man?

Antonio: Have you seen Sam Rappaport?

Cristian: No. Why?

Antonio: Forget it. Natalie, you don't have to be here at the arraignment. You don't need to testify. They're just going to charge Laurence and set bail.

Cristian: What? This guy almost killed her, Antonio.

Antonio: Yeah, yeah, I know. So does the judge.

Cristian: So, what, he gets to walk around free?

Antonio: Look; you're going to have to take it easy, Cristian.

Cristian: How am I supposed to do that, knowing everything this guy pulled?

Antonio: Look, if you lose your temper, you're going to screw everything up.

Cristian: All right. What's up with you?

Antonio: Forget it. Just don't lose it.

Cristian: Me?

Mitch: Couldn't stay away from me, Darling?

Cristian: You know what you are?

Natalie: Cristian, come on, don't, don't, don't. Please.

Cristian: You know, we just came here to make sure that you get what you deserve.

Mitch: Oh, don't worry. I will.

Girl: Where'd you get the big bucks?

Flash: Beat it. All right?

Joey: Thought I might find you here.

Flash: Yeah. Well, look, Rev, if this is about another sermon about not getting wasted, I got a really bad headache, all right?

Joey: Hey, it's not about that.

Flash: Then what is this one about?

Joey: There was a robbery at The Palace a couple doors down from where you were staying.

Flash: I did it. I confess.

Joey: I'm not blaming you. But the owners have already called the police. They may want to ask you a few questions.

Flash: You do think I did it.

Joey: Just giving you a heads-up.

Flash: Look for yourself if you don't believe me.

Joey: I'm not going through other people's stuff.

Natalie: You don't seriously think you're going to get away with what you did?

Cristian: You shouldn't even talk to him, Natalie.

Mitch: No, I have nothing but confidence in the fairness of our judicial system.

Natalie: Do you think you won't be convicted?

Mitch: Actually, today is about setting my bail, Darling.

Cristian: You mean denying bail.

Natalie: Yeah, there is no way they're going to let you out.

Mitch: I think the Lord will provide.

Natalie: Well, if the judge is that stupid, here's a news flash -- you won't be using my money for any bail. You're on your own.

Mitch: You may want to reconsider that since I'm quite certain you still want out of our marriage. I've decided to accept your mother's very generous offer.

Natalie: Oh. Well, you had your chance. You blew it and you're not getting a dime of my family's money.

Mitch: Hmm. Oh. Hi, Jennifer. Nice to see a friendly face.

Cristian: Listen, you leave her alone.

Mitch: Ooh, how gallant, defending your ex, hmm? I'd keep the dye job if I were you. The gentleman obviously prefers blondes.

Ms. Williamson: I'd like a word with my client, Gentlemen.

Mitch: Excuse us.

Jen: Thank you, Cristian. You didn't have to stick up for me like that.

Cristian: You came through for us, Jen. If you didn't tell me about the clinic, we never would have found Natalie.

Natalie: Yeah, Jen, I -- I owe you so much. Thank you.

Jen: No. It's okay.

Antonio: Jen, have you seen your Dad?

Jen: He's supposed to be here now. Why?

Antonio: You mind if I talk to you for a second?

Cristian: Ready to go in?

Viki: Natalie. Baby, are you okay?

Natalie: Fine. You?

Viki: I'm fine. You don't need to worry about me. I know that this is going to be incredibly hard for you.

Natalie: Well, you must be very concerned about Jessica, too, even more.

Viki: No. I'm equally concerned out both of you, and I want you both to know that I'm there for you.

Bo: Viki, could I talk to you for a second?

Viki: Yes. Sure. Excuse me.

Natalie: You didn't tell her, did you, that I'm moving out?

Jen: You told me not to, right?

Natalie: Yeah. She just seems really intense, like -- did something else happen?

Blair: Hedy, I want you you to bathe Jack as soon as he wakes up, and, yes, Starr can have some of your strudel, okay? Thanks. Oh, Starr! Honey, what are you doing home so soon?

Starr: Mom, school gets out the same time every day.

Blair: Gosh, I must be running late, then.

Starr: Where are you going?

Blair: I'm going to go to court.

Starr: Why? To see the guy who kidnapped you fry?

Blair: No. I want to make sure that he stays in jail.

Starr: Can I come?

Blair: No, you may not.

Starr: Why not?

Blair: Because I want to make sure that you never have to see that guy again.

Starr: It's not like I'm going to be traumatized or something. I'm a big girl. I can handle it.

Blair: Starr, sometimes I don't even think I can handle it.

Starr: Fine. Then hold your hands and stuff.

Blair: I appreciate that, but I think it's best if you stay home.

Starr: It's not fair. I have a right to be there.

Blair: Why?

Starr: Because!

Blair: Because you think you'll get a chance to see your daddy?

Starr: You can't keep me from him.

Blair: Hedy, make sure Starr stays here this afternoon.

Starr: What?

Blair: You heard me, Starr. And make sure she does her homework. I'll be home soon.

Starr: Mom!

Blair: Yes, you stay here. Love you.

Starr: Bye.

Blair: Bye.

Hedy: Do your homework.

Guard: What's going on here?

Todd: Yeah, well, I was -- I was walking by and I saw all this mess here, you know, and I -- I figured I had to come and check it out.

Guard: Yeah, well, why didn't you just call security?

Todd: I -- I don't know. But that's a really great I-- you know what? I probably should have done that. But now that you're here, I'm sure you've everything under control, so I'll just get out of your way.

Guard: Not so fast. What are you doing with this?

Todd: Um -- well, I need to get that Ms. Williamson right away.

Guard: Oh, you work for her?

Todd: Yes, I do, and she's down at the courthouse now with this enormous case, and she said that if I don't get that to her right away that my butt's in a sling. I'm sure you know exactly what I mean. You -- you -- okay. How about I just -- just, you know, make it worth your while?

Guard: Oh, you're trying to bribe me, huh?

Todd: No. Just look at it more like a -- like a tip.

Guard: Well, I don't accept tips.

Todd: Are you independently wealthy?

Guard: No. I just got ethics.

Todd: Right, you're the one. You know what? You're going to love this, because -- because -- you got me. I don't really work for Ms. Williamson.

Guard: No kidding.

Todd: No. I run a newspaper called "The Sun" and I'm writing this huge expose about what a scuzzbucket of a sleazeball -- Ms. Williams is a sleazeball.

Guard: Wait a minute. I know who you are. You're Todd Manning.

Todd: Why, yes, I am. You know, you can just call me Todd. So you ready "The Sun," huh?

Guard: No. I read "The Banner." And I saw your picture. You just got busted.

Todd: No, I made bail.

Guard: You know, you can get a lot of time for committing a crime while you're out on bail.

Todd: Oh, great, so what are you now, a lawyer?

Guard: Well, I'm getting my law degree online. Yeah. I want to report a break-in.

Joey: You know, it's not too late to go back to school. We've got tutors that'll help you out at the community center. It's your best shot to get out of here.

Girl: Who says we want out?

Joey: You want to spend the rest of your life like this?

Boy: Hey, if we go back to school, can we grow up and be just like you?

[All laugh]

Flash: Hey, guys, come on, just give him a break, all right? He's just trying to preach his line. Back off.

Joey: Thanks.

Flash: No biggie.

Joey: Hey. Sorry your friends have such a cynical outlook.

Flash: This life does that to you, you know? And they're not my friends.

Joey: So how about you?

Flash: How about me what?

Joey: Well, going back to school?

Flash: I don't think so.

Joey: You know, it's not all homework and tests. They've got some great programs at Llanview High, like band, r --

Flash: Do I look like a choirgirl, Rev?

Joey: I left some registration papers over there. Just think about it.

Flash: Look, just because I told those guys to back off you, don't get the wrong idea, all right?

Joey: And what idea would that be?

Flash: That I'm interested in anything to do with you.

Joey: Why would I think that?

[Door closes]

Antonio: Are you sure your Dad's going to be here?

Jen: Here he is. Hello.

Sam: Hi, Sweetheart. How you doing? Antonio.

Antonio: Sam, I'm sorry to interrupt, but you got a second?

Sam: Sure. Would you excuse us? What's going on?

Antonio: I need a lawyer.

Sam: A lawyer? Okay. Well, sure. Why don't you call my office tomorrow, we'll make an appointment --

Antonio: Tomorrow may be too late.

Sam: Okay. Jen, why don't you wait for me inside, okay? So, let's -- let's hear it.

Antonio: Now, look, you might know, the baby Keri was carrying for her mother -- it's -- it's mine. I'm the -- I'm the father.

Sam: Yeah, I heard.

Antonio: Well, Liz wants to take my baby and leave town, and I want to stop her.

Sam: Well, you have certain rights as the father.

Antonio: Even if my name's not on the birth certificate?

Sam: That could complicate things.

Antonio: That's why I need you.

Sam: Well, Antonio, I don't know if I'm the right person for the job. Keri is a friend of mine.

Antonio: Look, Sam, I want the best. That's you. Look, Sam, you're a father, all right? I mean, what would you do if someone was trying to take away your children?

Sam: All right. All right, we'll talk about it after the arraignment.

Antonio: Great. You have no idea how much I appreciate this.

Sam: I think I do.

Officer: Det. Vega?

Antonio: Thank you. Yeah, what's going on?

Blair: Hey, Sam

Sam: Hey, hi. Are you ready for this?

Blair: Yeah. I'll be fine. I'm not too late, am I?

Sam: No, no, no, they're -- they're just about to start.

Antonio: Manning did what?

Officer: She's Mitch Laurence's attorney. Manning broke in. He got caught lifting some sort of file.

Sam: You want me to find out what's going on?

Blair: No, Sam. I do not want to get involved.

Sam: Me, neither. Let's go. Come on.

Blair: Okay.

Officer: I thought the commissioner ought to know.

Antonio: Yeah. Well, the commissioner needs to be here for his sister-in-law's -- I'll handle Manning.

Officer: Okay.

Todd: Okay, you see that name right there?

Guard: Victor Lord.

Todd: Oh, good. Yeah -- that -- that's my father.

Guard: Your last name's Manning.

Todd: Yeah, I know that. It's a long story. The thing is that my father -- he's in a hospital right now and he's not doing so well, and -- look you can -- you can call the hospital and find out for yourself.

Guard: I'll let the police handle that.

[Phone rings]

Todd: Ay! Chances of -- what?

Starr: Dad?

Todd: Hey, Starr. How you doing?

Starr: I miss you so much.

Todd: I miss you, too. More than you know.

Starr: I came up with an idea of how to see you.

Todd: You did, huh? Well, that's my girl. See, the -- what? That's my kid. I was talking to my kid!

Guard: You should have thought about her before you broke in here!

Todd: You know what? You're an idiot! She's the whole reason I'm doing any of this!

Starr: Why would he hang up on me?

Starr: Hmm. Hedy! Hedy! Hedy, help! Help me!

Hedy: What is going on?

Starr: Oh, it's my stomach!

Hedy: Oh. What did you eat?

Starr: Only the stuff that you packed in my lunch box.

Hedy: Ach, du lieber!

[Starr groans]

Hedy: Oh! Your mommy doesn't answer.

Starr: Then take me to Dr. Troy!

Hedy: No, Mrs. Manning doesn't want me to take you anywhere.

Starr: I could die because of you! Ooh!

Hedy: Oh, you really are sick.

Starr: Of course I am! Hurry! Just find someone take care of Jack! You've got to bring me to Dr. Tr-- Troy! He's the only one who can help!

Victor: Pen.

Troy: Pen? You want my pen? Okay.

Victor: Paper.

Troy: Paper? You want paper. Uh -- I don't see any paper. Okay, I'll have the nurse bring you in some paper. And try to relax.

[Victor wheezes]

Nora: It's the last chance for your client to cop a plea.

Hank: I suggest you take it, considering the charges against him.

Ms. Williamson: My client isn't interested in a plea bargain, now or ever.

Bailiff: All rise. Superior court of Llantano County is now in session, the Honorable Judge Howard Lee presiding.

Judge: Be seated.

Bailiff: Case number 35278, the Commonwealth vs. Mitchell Laurence.

Judge: Quite a laundry list here. Two counts of kidnapping, conspiracy to commit attempted murder, conspir-- okay. How do you plead?

Mitch: Not guilty, Your Honor, to all charges.

Judge: Bail?

Nora: Your Honor, the defendant, Mitch Laurence, claims to be a man of God. He kidnapped two women -- one in exchange for the life of her very young daughter, the other woman was his own wife, whom he drugged, took to a makeshift operating room, where a surgeon was preparing to cut out her heart to extend the life of a rich and powerful old man. This is not the first time that the defendant has committed such heinous acts. He has eluded police in the past, staged his own death, only to reappear after the statute of limitations was up.

Ms. Williamson: Objection. This has no bearing on the current case.

Judge: This isn't a trial. We're doing bail here.

Nora: Thank you, Your Honor. I only bring up the prior bad acts to show that Mitch Laurence is most definitely a flight risk. Given that and the severity of his numerous acts, the Commonwealth recommends no bail be set.

Ms. Williamson: Your Honor, my client has ties to the community, he has a daughter here, and he is determined to see his name cleared of these false accusations.

Judge: All right. The counts stand. The defendant is bound over for trial.

Nora: Thank you.

Judge: Mr. Laurence, when you surrender your passport, bail is set at $500,000.

[Gallery murmurs]

Ms. Williamson: Your Honor, the passport is here, and bail is being posted as we speak.

Judge: Very well, your client is free to go. All rise.

[Gallery murmurs]

Natalie: He got out? He's going to be free now?

Cristian: Come on; let's get out of here.

[Loud talking]

Nora: What hell just happened here?

Hank: I would like to know that myself.

Bo: Something just happened. I'm going to find out what.

Viki: He cannot be allowed to go free. Doesn't the judge realize that he's simply going to go on doing what he's been doing -- victimizing people? I can't believe this!

Nora: I'd like to know where he got the money for bail.

Bo: I'll find that out, too. There's got to be some kind of catch.

Hank: Yeah, we can only hope, Bo. Evangeline Williamson -- she covers all her bases. Did you see how fast she pulled out that passport?

Viki: I don't understand this. Now, how in God's name could something like this happen?

Mitch: Well, the Lord works in mysterious ways, Victoria.

[Victor wheezes]

Troy: Mr. Lord's asking for some paper, when you get a chance. He seems a little agitated, so I went ahead and increased his sedative.

Nurse: Okay.

Troy: Thank you.

[Starr groans]

Hedy: Oh, Dr. MacIver!

Troy: Starr, Hedy, what's wrong?

Hedy: Oh Starr says it is because of a sandwich I gave her for lunch.

Troy: Ah, sounds like food poisoning. Starr, let me see --

Hedy: Oh, and it's my fault!

Starr: Oh --

Troy: That's okay. We'll take care of it.

Hedy: I'll go and get Mrs. Manning on the phone. I'll try again.

Troy: Okay. That's okay, Sweetheart. I'm going to take good care of you. Let me see.

[Starr groans]

Troy: Come here.

Starr: Finally. I thought she'd never leave. I need to talk to you, Dr. Troy.

Troy: Were you just faking being sick?

Starr: Yeah. It's the only way I could get Hedy to bring me here.

Troy: Starr, don't do that to people.

Starr: But this is important.

Troy: Well -- what's so important?

Starr: I need you to help me see my dad.

Troy: Why not just ask your mom?

Starr: Are you kidding? She won't let me anywhere near him. Dr. Troy, please help me. I need to see my dad.

Antonio: Que fue lo que paso aqui?

Guard: Yo pase y vi el vidrio rotro y entre, y este estaba aqui.

Antonio: Okay. Okay, gracias. Yo me hago responsable.

Guard: Okay.

Antonio: What the hell's the matter with you, Manning?

Todd: You know, you would have done the same thing if you were me.

Antonio: No, Todd, I'm a cop, all right? I don't mess with the law.

Todd: Your brother broke all kinds of laws for Natalie. Why don't you go arrest him?

Antonio: It's not the same thing.

Todd: No, it is the same thing because we're both dealing with Mitch Laurence. You know what? I don't even have time for this. I got to get to Viki.

Antonio: What's it about?

Todd: It's about my family! And -- Mitch Laurence hasn't hurt my family, not yet. But you haul me in there, you'll give him time to do that. This isn't about me. This isn't even about Viki. This is about -- this is about our kids. This is -- Mitch Laurence is gunning for our children! You know what? If you had a kid, you might get that.

Antonio: I'm getting it, okay? But you still can't go breaking into people's offices, even if it is Laurence's attorney.

Todd: Okay, you know, I don't even think that's it. I think that you're trying to nail me for shooting your brother. Okay, listen, I shot the wrong guy. Sometimes bullets don't go where they're supposed to go. You, of all people, should know that.

Antonio: I I know none of this would have happened if you would have called us instead of trying to do it yourself!

Todd: Look, I'm not the bad guy here, Vega, not -- not this time. We're on the same side here. You going to help me nail Mitch Laurence or not?

Flash: “Here in this room with my reflection and I know I'm far from alone again always my thoughts go with misdirection something conspires to take me down and I know this time I was mistaken and the words I said I should have taken back oh, I wish I could take them back oh yeah, I wish I could take them back yeah yeah, I know I should take them back…”

[Starr groans]

Blair: Starr! Hey. Hey, hey, hey. You know, listen, I'm right here.

Starr: Oh.

Blair: Is she going to be all right?

Troy: Would you like to tell your mom or do you want me to?

Blair: Tell me what?

Troy: Starr?

Blair: What?

Starr: I'm not sick.

Blair: Starr, Hedy call-- why would you do this?

Starr: So that Dr. Troy can help me see Dad.

Blair: I am so sorry.

Troy: No, it's -- it's fine, Blair.

Blair: Starr, we have been over this. You know why I don't want you to see your father and you know you're not supposed to lie.

Starr: What about you? You lied. You lied to that Mitch Laurence creep. You said that me and Jack -- we're both adopted.

Blair: I had a very -- I had a very good reason for that. It was a good reason.

Starr: So is this. I want to see Dad and I want to see him now.

Blair: Well, you can't. No.

Starr: Fine. Then I'm moving in with Dr. Troy.

[Victor wheezes]

Victor: Get back in here --

Nurse: Here I am, Mr. Lord.

Victor: Give it to me.

Nurse: In just a minute.

Victor: What are you doing?

Nurse: Dr. MacIver says you need your rest.

Victor: No. No!

[Victor wheezes]

Bo: The judge made sure you can't leave the country. Now, I'm telling you, don't leave town. Are we clear?

Evangeline: I'm afraid you're going to need a court order to enforce that, Commissioner.

Mitch: No, it's quite all right. I have no intention of going anywhere. I'm no more worried about my trial than I was about this bail hearing. And besides, who would want to leave? My daughter is here.

Viki: You leave her alone.

Mitch: I'm still hoping we can get to know each other, Sweetheart.

Viki: I am not going to let you anywhere near Jessica, or Natalie, either.

Mitch: Viki, have we learned nothing from today? You and your minions cannot give nothing from today? I am free to go anywhere and do as I please.

Cristian: Nat, are you okay?

Natalie: I still can't believe this.

Cristian: Natalie, I'm not going to let this guy hurt you.

Natalie: How could the judge do this? I mean, after everything he did. He tried to kill me!

Cristian: Well, that's why I'm glad you're moving in with me. And I'm not going to let you out of my sight. You believe me, don't you?

Natalie: I know that you want to protect me.

Cristian: And I'm going to.

Natalie: He almost killed you, too.

Cristian: Look, Natalie, this guy's not going to touch us, no matter how hard he tries, okay? Trust me on that.

Natalie: So, I guess all I have to worry about then is your mom.

Cristian: No, my mom -- she's just going to have to get to know you better.

Natalie: Have you even talked to her about me moving in?

Cristian: Yeah, yeah, and she's totally cool with it.

Natalie: Right.

Cristian: No, she is, really. I mean, we can go over to the house whenever you're ready.

Carlotta: Cristian, Natalie. How did it go in court today?

Cristian: Well, Mitch Laurence got out on bail.

Carlotta: What? No! That's horrible!

Cristian: Yeah. Yeah, it is. But Natalie's going to be okay, now that she's staying with us.

Carlotta: Oh, yeah. I'd better get back to the house and make up my room for her.

Natalie: No, no, Mrs. Vega. I'm not going to put you out of your room.

Carlotta: Oh, I won't have you sleeping on the couch.

Cristian: Natalie's not going to sleep on the couch, Mom.

Carlotta: Well, if you want to stay on the couch, that's fine.

Cristian: Nobody's going to be staying on the couch.

Carlotta: What? Oh. I see. You'll be staying together.

Cristian: I hope you're okay with that.

Carlotta: I don't know what --

Natalie: You know what? Because if you're not --

Carlotta: No, it's fine. These are your decisions.

Cristian: Mami, listen, Natalie and I love each other, and she really needs me right now.

Carlotta: I know that, Mijo, and I won't stand in your way. I'd better get back home and clean out some of your drawers. I'm not going to have Natalie living out of a suitcase.

Natalie: Oh, come on, you don't have to do that.

Carlotta: No, it's no problem, no problem at all.

Natalie: This is a mistake.

Cristian: No, Natalie, this isn't a mistake. I want you with me.

Natalie: Yeah, but your mom doesn't, not at her house.

Cristian: Well, she's trying.

Natalie: Yeah, but that doesn't mean she likes it.

Cristian: So, she's a little old-fashioned.

Natalie: Besides the fact that she hates me.

Cristian: No, no, she does not hate you.

Natalie: Oh, no?

Cristian: Look, my mom just wants me to be happy, and I am happy, because I'm with you.

Natalie: Me, too. I'm just -- I'm so not comfortable with this whole thing, Cristian.

Cristian: Look, it's just until we find a place of our own. It'll be okay.

Natalie: You know, she is being very sweet about this.

Cristian: And she's going to see how great you are, too.

Natalie: Hope so.

Cristian: And I'm not about to let you stay anywhere else, not with Mitch Laurence on the loose.

Natalie: Okay. I'll agree to stay at you mom's house. But on the couch.

Cristian: No way.

Natalie: Cristian, that is the only way I'm doing this, and you're not talking me out of it.

Cristian: You're really stubborn. You know that?

Natalie: Yeah, but that's one of the things you love about me, right?

Cristian: I love everything about you.

Blair: Starr, you can't live with Dr. Troy.

Starr: I won't live with you, not unless you let me see Dad.

Troy: Starr, Sweetheart, your mom's right. Now, you and I -- we're friends. But you'd hurt your mom an awful lot if you moved out on her.

Starr: But what about what she's doing to me?

Troy: Well, you may not like the things that your mom does, but she's only doing them because she loves you.

Blair: I do, Baby. I love you so much.

Troy: And you love her, too. I know you do. And I don't think you really want to be away from her, now, do you?

Blair: Ooh, I know that this is hard for you. It's hard for both of us. But you know what, Sweetie? Let's go home and -- and we'll talk about it, okay? Hedy's waiting down the hall for you. I'll be right there. Just a minute.

Starr: Okay. Goodbye, Dr. Troy.

Troy: Bye, Starr.

Blair: Okay, I -- I owe you one. Oh, I owe you two. Actually, there is a long list of things --

Troy: Ooh, yeah.

Blair: That I owe you for --

Troy: There sure is.

Blair: Yes, and --

Troy: Yeah.

Blair: I don't think anybody else could have made Starr understand.

Troy: Well, Starr and I are friends.

Blair: You've been a really great friend to her, and, actually, a great friend to me, and I appreciate it.

Nurse: Excuse me, Doctor. The patient refused the sedative you ordered.

Troy: Okay. I'll handle it.

Nurse: Okay.

Troy: Excuse me.

Blair: Thank you. Thank you so much.

[Monitor beeps]

Troy: Mr. Lord, what's this about you refusing the tranquilizer? Now, you need to try and stay calm.

Victor: I can't.

[Victor wheezes]

Troy: Stressing yourself out like this is not good for your heart.

Victor: Not now.

Troy: Just relax.

[Victor wheezes]

Troy: You need to keep the mask on. You need to get your oxygen.

[Victor stops breathing]

[Monitor alarms, then flat lines]

Troy: We're losing him! Get the crash cart! Code blue!

Todd: Where is everybody?

Bo: You missed it.

Todd: Well, at least the guy's in jail. That gives us some time, right?

Hank: Guess again, Manning.

Todd: What is that supposed to mean?

Nora: The judge granted bail and he made it.

Todd: You got to be kidding me! How the hell did that happen?

Nora: My sentiments exactly.

Todd: Well, we got to go now. We don't have a whole lot of time.

Bo: What's going on, Manning?

Todd: Mitch Laurence is going to off the old man.

Bo: Victor?

Todd: Yeah, Victor. Who else?

Bo: Why?

Todd: Well, I -- I took a -- a peak at Pop's new will, and Mitch Laurence gets everything.

Hank: All right, how did you get your hands on that?

Todd: You don't need to know, but I did, and -- well, we got to go. We got to stop him, because if Victor Lord dies right now, Laurence gets everything -- all our money, all l our kids' money, "The Banner," "The Sun," even Llanfair. Laurence is going to take it all away from us!

[Monitor flatlines]

Troy: Come on. One, two, three, four, five!

Natalie: It's not going to be for long, Mrs. Vega.

Carlotta: Don't be rushed.

Joey: You have a lot of potential, and I don't want to see you toss it all away.

Todd: I want to see the original copy of Victor Lord's will.

Evangeline: Not a chance.

Viki: Where's my father?

Mitch: Oh, you're too late.
