Allison: Ah! Hey, you.

Antonio: I have a very special lunch planned for us.

Jen: Al and I aren't getting married and it has nothing to do with Cristian.

Al: I am tired of doing what you tell me to do, Natalie.

Lindsay: That tape isn't at the hospital. It's at the gallery.

Nora: What in the world is this?

Troyís voice: And you were the one that gave Nora the drug that wiped out her memory.

Lindsay's voice: Yes, and I let Colin take the blame for that, too.

[Nora stops tape player]

Nora: You did it. I knew you did it, Lindsay. I knew it. And now, thanks to Troy, I have the proof.

Lindsay: Nora, what are you doing in my gallery?

Keri: Antonio --

Antonio: Come on.

Keri: Are you sure this is a good idea?

Antonio: What, are you kidding? This diner's a perfect place for lunch.

Keri: Not when the owner hates me.

Antonio: Nah, Mami doesn't hate you.

Keri: Did you see the sign outside that said "No shoes, no shirt, no Keri Reynolds"?

Antonio: I think it said "No service."

Keri: Which is exactly what Iíll get.

Antonio: Come on, we're going to have a terrific meal.

Keri: Believe me, your mother is not going to be happy to see me.

Cristian: I've got to know, Jen. Are you marrying Al or not, yes or no? Forget it.

Jen: Wait.

Cristian: Know what -- it's none of my business.

Jen: It's not --

Cristian: We're finished, and it's cool. You want to marry Al, go ahead, marry Al. What do I care?

Natalie: You should sit back down in your chair, don't you think?

Al: I, uh -- I'm sorry, ok? I -- I shouldn't have grabbed you like that.

Natalie: All right. No problem.

Seth: Hey, there was traffic. Took a little longer than I thought.

Max: Everything go ok at the bank?

Seth: Yeah, sure. I just put it in the box and left.

Max: Any problems?

Seth: Nope.

Max: Gee, that's strange. You know, the bank just called and said the deposit was $992 short.

Seth: What?

Max: Yeah, there's almost $1,000 missing. What happened to the money?

Troy: Help! Somebody! Anybody help! Help!

[Sam coughs]

Troy: Help! Somebody! Anybody!

Sam: Troy?

Lindsay: I asked you a question, Nora.

Nora: I came looking for Troy.

Lindsay: He's not here. How'd you get in?

Nora: Door was open.

Lindsay: No, it wasnít. You broke in.

Nora: No, actually, the door was open.

Lindsay: Well, I hope you realize that you're going to have to pay for that.

Nora: Well, then why don't we call the police, shall we? Let's do that. Let's call the police right now and tell them I was trespassing, breaking and entering? What would you like? I figured as much. More empty threats. I'm going now.

Lindsay: You're not going anywhere.

Nora: Excuse me?

Lindsay: Where is it, Nora?

Nora: Where is what, Lindsay?

[R.J. Sighs]

R.J.: Lindsay, why carry the cell if you're not going to answer it? Come -- you stay away from my daughter.

Lindsay: How do you think that she would feel coming to visit you in prison?

R.J.: Ok, Lindsay. I'll do what I can. Where do you want me to start looking for this tape? Lindsay, it's me. Listen, no luck finding that item you're so interested in, but I will continue the search soon, right after I make sure you haven't been anywhere near my daughter. I'll call the gallery. Excuse me. Have either of you seen Professor Reynolds around?

Mollie: Yeah, she just left.

R.J.: Ah. Thanks.

Shawna: Ah, she left with her Latino lover boy.

Mollie: Sounds like somebody's still upset about getting an F.

Shawna: I get an F on my paper and Cristian gets an A?

Mollie: At least she's letting you rewrite it.

Shawna: Look, if that woman thinks that I'm going to roll over and let her do this to me, she's delusional.

Mollie: Come on, Shawna, she's giving you a second chance.

Shawna: A second chance at what, getting another F? I'm not going to waste my time writing another paper for that class. But I do know what I am going to do.

Mollie: What, download one off the internet?

Shawna: I'm going to make Professor Reynolds sorry she ever messed with me.

Mollie: How's that?

Shawna: Watch and learn, girlfriend. Watch and learn.

Keri: Hello, Mrs. Vega.

Antonio: Keri and I decided we'd have lunch here today, Mami.

Keri: Hope that was a good idea.

Carlotta: Wonderful. Have a seat. I'll get some menus.

Antonio: Hope you remember what I told you?

Carlotta: Seguro que si? Antonio, I know that you said that this is the woman that your life revolves around now, the daughter of a criminal --

Antonio: Mami --

Carlotta: Antonio, maybe you can allow R.J. Gannon into your life, but I will never. Es tu vida. It's your life.

Keri: So has it been busy today for you?

Carlotta: Off and on.

Antonio: So what's the special?

Carlotta: Arroz con pollo. Arroz is rice and pollo is chicken.

Antonio: Mami, Keri knows. She made that sopa de pollo the other night.

Carlotta: Yes, I remember.

Keri: What is carne guisada?

Carlotta: We're out of that.

Keri: Oh. Ok. I guess I'll have the habichuelas guisadas.

Carlotta: Oh, you won't like that. It's too spicy.

Keri: Actually, I really like spicy foods.

Carlotta: Not this spicy.

Antonio: Mami, why don't you let Keri order what she likes.

Carlotta: Fine.

Antonio: I'll take the special.

Carlotta: Wonderful.

Antonio: She doesn't hate you. All right, I don't hate you. Any consolation?

Keri: No. Just kidding. I don't hate you, either.

Nora: What are you looking for, Lindsay? What is it?

Lindsay: You broke in here to steal something.

Nora: Now what makes you say that?

Lindsay: Give it to me.

Nora: Oh, aren't we being a little greedy grabby. Who's grabbing for things that we shouldn't have?

Lindsay: It belongs to me.

Nora: What does, Lindsay? What is it? What is "it"? Can't you say the word? I'll help you. "T-- t-- tape." Something along the lines of that, perhaps?

Lindsay: It's mine. Give it to me.

Nora: Give it to you? I don't think so. You know what I'll give you? How about I give you a little listen? How about that, huh? A little preview of coming attractions in court.

Troy's voice: And you were the one that gave Nora the drug that wiped out her memory.

Lindsay's voice: Yes, and I let Colin take the blame for that, too.

Lindsay: It's not true. I was lying to Troy.

Nora: Well, you should tell that to a jury because I think they'd want to know that.

Lindsay: You can't keep that. What is that idiotic grin on your face?

Nora: I'm sorry. I don't mean for it to be idiotic. It's just I've waited such a long time for this particular moment that I just want to savor it. Do you mind? I just -- little savor?

Lindsay: You don't have anything on me.

Nora: I don't? I got this. You did it to me. I knew it. And now I have got the proof, and you are going to pay.

[Telephone rings]

Nora: Hello? Troy? Say something, Troy, for God's -- where are you? Troy?

Nora: Where is he? What have you done to him?

Troy: Help! Somebody!

Sam: Troy! Troy, I'm right outside! It's Sam!

Troy: Sam? Sam!

Sam: I hear you! I'm trying to find a way in!

Troy: Sam, Iím in here! I'm trapped! I'm chained up!

Sam: Hang on! I'll be there!

Jessica: What's going on?

Max: I'm about a grand short, that's what's going on.

Seth: Max, come on, no way. I mean, I counted the money myself. It was 3,030 exactly.

Max: Well, the bank came up 992 short, whatever that comes out to.

Seth: No, it's impossible. I mean, I put the money in there myself.

Jessica: Maybe the bank made a mistake.

Max: It's a bank. Counting money, it's what they do.

Seth: Max, I swear, I didn't take the money. I didn't.

Jessica: I know you didnít. Of course.

Max: Then where is it?

Seth: I don't know.

Max: Someone has it. And you were the one that had it last.

Seth: I know I had it, but I -- I didn't take it.

Jessica: Ok, let's -- let's slow down and let's try and think of a logical explanation here.

Max: I'm listening.

Jessica: Hello? Think. Come on, think. Who was with you when you were counting the money? Who did you see last?

Seth: There's not much to think about. I mean, I counted the money, like, four times, I filled out the deposit slip, and then I put it in the bag, and then I -- I know who did it. I know who took the money.

Al: I can't just shrug it off, Natalie. What I did, it was wrong.

Natalie: It's what we did, Al. Stop beating yourself up, ok? We're not going to let Seth go to jail.

Al: People are going to think he's a thief.

Natalie: All I care about is what Jessica thinks.

Al: Come on, Natalie. This could ruin his life.

Natalie: No, it won't. Anyway, it's done.

Al: Well, let's undo it.

Natalie: We had a deal, Al -- you help break up Seth and Jessica, I keep Jen from knowing you can walk again. Unless you want her to know you've been lying.

Al: Maybe I do.

Jen: Al and I are not getting married.

Cristian: Jen --

Jen: It's just some rumor that Mollie and Shawna made up.

Cristian: Look, Jen, they didn't just pick this up out of the air, ok? There's got to be something to it.

Jen: But it's not true.

Cristian: You're living with the guy.

Jen: I know.

Cristian: Ok. Ok. All right, so you're not getting married right now, but you will someday, right?

Jen: Yes, but I am not marrying Al.

Cristian: Oh, yeah? Then what's going on between the two of you? Where are you taking this?

Jen: I don't know. I don't know.

Cristian: But you do care, right?

Jen: Yes, I care about him. He's a good guy, and it's my fault that he's in a wheelchair.

Cristian: No, it's not. It's my fault.

Jen: I don't want to marry him because I don't love him, not like I Ė

Natalie: What's up with you, Al?

Al: Maybe I should get up right now, walk out there, and tell Jen the truth.

Natalie: Why would you want to do that when you've already been making all this progress?

Al: Progress? What progress, Natalie?

Natalie: Hello? She broke up with Cris; she's going to move in with you.

Al: I am total idiot, Natalie. The girl is not in love with me, ok? She doesn't love me.

Natalie: Ok, maybe not the way you want her to just yet, but she's just got to get used to the new man in her life, that's all.

Al: Have you checked out the way she looks at Cristian? The way her expression changes even when she's just talking about him?

Natalie: Look, that -- that'll pass.

Al: And now they're doing this assignment together, this school assignment. They're going to be spending all this time together. Natalie, I don't stand a chance.

Natalie: Ok, don't say that.

Al: Maybe I should've said it a long time ago. I'm tired, Natalie. I'm tired of slamming my head against the wall over and over again, thinking it's going to happen, because it's not, Natalie. It's never going to happen, ok?

Natalie: Ok, please, Al, you just got to listen to me --

Al: And you know what? I am getting sick of doing all your dirty work.

Natalie: Come on, Al.

Al: No. As long as Cristian is around, Jen is never going to fall in love with me. So I should stand up on my own two feet, walk out there, and put an end to this. Right now. Yes.

Troy: Sam, can you hear me?

[Sam coughs]

Troy: Sam!

Sam: I can't find a way inside!

Troy: Where are you?

Sam: I don't know! Some kind of a tunnel! It doesn't go anywhere!

Troy: Oh, no, no, you're in the maze! You're never going to make it!

Sam: Just keep calling me! I'll follow your voice!

Troy: I'm in here! I'm in the main room!

Troy: Sam! Sam, can you hear me? Sam! Sam.

Sam: What the hell --

Troy: Oh, God.

Sam: Why are you chained up?

Troy: Lindsay.

Sam: Lindsay? She did that to you?

Troy: Yeah. Thank God you're here.

Nora: I love you, Sam.

Sam: What about Troy?

Nora: What about him?

Sam: The New Yearís Eve kiss was one-way. I buy that. But the kiss at the cemetery -- was that one-way, too?

Troy: Sam. Sam, what is it? What are you doing? What are you waiting for? Sam!

Lindsay: I didn't do anything to Troy. I'm the one that got hurt in all this, remember, Nora?

Nora: Oh, please.

Lindsay: Troy lied to me. And he tricked me into my so-called confession and then he disappeared.

Nora: And you expect me to believe that?

Lindsay: It's true!

Nora: No, Lindsay, he called me. He called me and gave me a clue about looking behind the Ramali photograph.

Lindsay: So you admit that you broke in here.

Nora: Why would he have to sneak a clue to me? If he'd just made this huge triumph, why wouldn't he just tell me straight out, or, better yet, why wouldn't he come and get the tape himself?

Lindsay: Well, who knows what goes on in his mind.

Nora: Because you were there, weren't you? You were there when he made that phone call and that's why he couldn't be open with me. What did you do to him? What did you do? What did you do, lock him up the way you had Colin lock me up for months?

Lindsay: Nora, I am so done with this conversation.

Nora: Oh, I am, too, because I've got the tape, I've got your confession, and you're going to prison. I just want to know what you did to Troy. Where is he? Where is he!

Antonio: What?

Keri: That feels really good.

Antonio: Really?

Keri: Too good.

Antonio: Yeah? Well, I live right around the corner. We could always take a walk.

Keri: We can't do that.

Antonio: Why not?

Keri: Because your mother's about to serve us lunch.

Antonio: Hmm. Well, then I at least get a kiss.

Carlotta: Ahem.

Antonio: Ah.

Keri: Thank you, Mrs. Vega.

Antonio: Gracias, Mami.

Carlotta: Enjoy.

Antonio: Thank you. Looks delicious. How is it?

Keri: Mmm, very good.

Antonio: Yeah? Not too spicy?

Keri: Ahem. You know, it's a little on the spicy --

[Keri coughs]

Antonio: You ok?

Keri: No! Hot!

Antonio: No. No, no, no. Honey, no, the water just makes it worse.

Keri: Let me have that!

Antonio: No, no, no, no, have some bread.

Keri: Oh! Oh, that's the hottest thing Iíve ever tasted.

Carlotta: How is everything?

[Keri coughs]

Shawna: See, it's kind of delicate. But, you know, I thought since everybody likes you --

Rae: You can speak freely with me, Shawna.

Shawna: Thanks. Is it against school policy for a professor to get involved with a student?

Rae: Depends on what you mean by "involved."

Shawna: Oh, like, you know, dating and -- even more than that.

Rae: Yes, it is against school policy. In fact, it could be grounds for an instructor being dismissed.

Shawna: Right. I thought so.

Rae: Shawna, you're not involved with one of your professors, are you?

Shawna: Oh, no. No, no. I'm here to learn, Dr. Cummings. I would never fool around like that.

Rae: Uh-huh.

Shawna: But I do know of this professor who started seeing one of her students and gave him top grades and now his brother's getting them, too.

Rae: You're sure of that?

Shawna: Oh, yes.

Rae: Absolutely sure?

Shawna: Uh-huh. Look, you can check it out if you want. See, it's -- it's Professor Reynolds. And her student was Antonio Vega.

Troy: Sam!

Sam: All right, weíve got to get out of here.

Troy: Oh, God, Iím glad you're here.

Sam: Here. When did the fire start?

Troy: Oh, not too long ago.

Sam: It's moving fast.

Troy: I know. I know. Any luck?

Sam: I'm trying! Oh!

Troy: Oh, God! Oh, my arms. Oh, I haven't been able to move in days.

Sam: Ok. Ok. All right. There we go.

Troy: Oh. Sam -- Sam, the cuffs. The cuffs.

Sam: Where's the keys?

Troy: Lindsay has them. She's not coming back. Try and break them. Can you break them?

Sam: Yeah, I hope so. I hope so. How could Lindsay do this?

Troy: Oh, God, it's a long story. Come on.

Sam: What the hell did you do to Lindsay, anyway? I know you didn't love her. I know you weren't going to marry her, but --

Troy: God. Sam, Sam, Sam, you can't stay.

Sam: What?

Troy: You got to get out of here. Come on, you got to get out of here!

Sam: No, I'm going to find a way to break this!

Troy: Sam, listen to me, this whole building's going up!

Sam: Ah!

Troy: I'm not going to make it! Go! Get out! Go!

Lindsay: Give -- ow!

Lindsay: Give --

Nora: No! No! No!

Lindsay: Give me that tape!

Nora: Oh, no, you donít.

Nora: Where is he? Where's Troy?

Lindsay: Get off me!

Nora: Where is he? Tell me now!

Lindsay: Get off!

Nora: No! Tell me now where he is, or I swear, I'll break every bone in your body, and I will love doing it!

Natalie: Al, please, don't -- don't.

Al: Why not?

Natalie: I need you. Look, if you go out there, this is over. I don't have another chance with Seth, and you don't have a chance with Jen.

Al: That's just it -- I don't know if I ever did.

Natalie: Yeah, you don't know. You guys haven't spent a whole lot of time together, you know? She could think of you differently tomorrow or maybe the next day, and I can help her with that.

Al: Well, how, Natalie? What, are you going to -- you going to do some nasty stuff to her, like you got me doing to -- to Seth?

Natalie: No, no. Look, that was a one-time thing. I would never hurt Jen, but I can get Cris out of the picture.

Al: You going to hop back into bed with him?

Natalie: I told you, nothing happened. Is that what you really think of me? That -- that I have no morals?

Al: What you had me do to Seth -- that was moral?

Natalie: I told you, that was a one-time thing.

Al: Right.

Natalie: You got to give me a break here, Al. I just love him so much.

Al: Why? I mean, you're so beautiful, Natalie. And you're smart. And you're funny. And you could probably have any guy you wanted, any guy in the world. Why Seth?

Natalie: Just try and understand, Al, ok? You know, my whole life growing up -- my mother and -- I mean, Roxy -- she used to tell me how worthless I am. "Nobody's ever going to love you. And then soon as I get rid of you, you're going to be alone the rest of your sorry life."

Al: Your mom said that?

Natalie: Well, she's not my mother, thank goodness, but, yeah, that's exactly what she said.

Al: Wow, that's harsh.

Natalie: And then Seth came into my life, and he was quiet, kind. He was nice to me. He said I was beautiful. That he loved me. I've got to get him back.

Al: So why are you trying to hurt him?

Natalie: I got to do what I got to do. And you should, too. I can help you.

Al: Yeah, right.

Natalie: I can. I mean, for starters, there's a rumor around campus going that you two are getting married.

Al: Get out of town.

Natalie: Well, why not make it happen? That would get Cris out of the picture. And I've seen the way Jen looks at you when you're not looking. She's got feelings for you, Al.

Al: Guilt.

Natalie: No. It's much more than that.

Al: Yeah, it's not what she feels when she looks at Cristian, ok?

Natalie: Yeah, maybe not right now, but look -- who's to say those feelings aren't going to change? I mean, she slept with you. I mean, she's had to have feelings for you then, right?

[Al sighs]

Al: Turn this around for me.

Natalie: You're not going to regret this, Al. We just got to do exactly what I say, and we'll both get what we want.

Al: Right.

Natalie: I'll call you.

Natalie: Am I interrupting something?

Cristian: No. No, I was just leaving.

Natalie: Al's in there all alone. You'd better get back to him.

Natalie: Damn, I'm good.

Jessica: So who stole the money?

Seth: Allison Perkins.

Max: Who?

Seth: Just as I was heading out the door, she walks in. We slam into each other and the money goes flying.

Jessica: All the money?

Seth: Yeah. It was all over the place.

Jessica: Every time that woman shows up, something goes wrong.

Max: Allison Perkins?

Chad: Yeah, she was here. I saw her. She's this little woman. She was acting really weird.

Jessica: Yep, that's her. See? She's the one you have to go after, Max.

Max: Assuming this weird, little woman did take the money -- which Iím not necessarily doing -- that still doesn't let you off the hook, Seth.

Jessica: She's -- look, Seth is not a thief, ok?

Max: You were in charge of the money, and now I'm out almost a grand.

Seth: I know, but I didn't --

Max: Yes. Did it ever occur to you that maybe you should count the money after spilling it all over the floor?

Seth: I -- I just didn't --

Max: No wonder you're in debt. You have absolutely no idea how to handle money.

Seth: I'll get you your money back, Mr. Holden, I swear.

Max: Of course you will, because I'll be taking it out of your paycheck until you do.

Antonio: Excuse me. I can't believe you just did that.

Carlotta: Que hice?

Antonio: Mami, tu sabes lo que tu hiciste. Now, apologize.

Keri: Antonio, please. I think I should handle this.

Keri: Mrs. Vega, I know that you don't like the fact that I'm involved with your son's life because of who my father is --

Carlotta: Well, actually --

Keri: And I can accept that, but what I cannot accept is all these constant attempts to make me feel like I have no right to be with Antonio, because I do. I have every right. I know that, and he knows that.

[Keri coughs]

Keri: And no amount of red pepper is going to change that. And as far as I'm concerned, nothing will. If you don't mind, please take this back to the kitchen and throw it out. It was a cheap trick and it's not going to work.

Carlotta: Tu vas a permitir que me hable de esa manera?

Antonio: I don't object to anything she said. It's all true.

Nora: No, no. No, you donít. You don't --

Lindsay: Oh!

Nora: You're not going to get away with this. Come back here!

Keri: I can't believe I just said all that stuff. It's like I just got on a roll, and everything Iíve been feeling for so long just came out.

Antonio: I liked what you said.

Keri: But your mother was so offended.

Antonio: Well, after everything she did, why shouldn't she be? It was all true.

Keri: Well, I certainly meant what I said, especially about us.

Antonio: That's the part I liked the best.

Keri: But, still --

Antonio: Hey, listen, my mother will come around -- or not. Either way, you and I will still be together. Ooh, spicy.

Keri: Stop it.

[Antonio laughs]

Antonio: Come on. Let's -- if my mother's our biggest problem, believe me, we're going to be ok.

Rae: Shawna, before you jump to conclusions, I think we should clarify one thing. Antonio Vega is no longer a student of Professor Reynolds.

Shawna: But he was.

Rae: Yes, but he's not now.

Shawna: So? And he was. Look, it's either against the rules or it isnít.

Rae: Now, if you have proof of a timetable when they started to see each other, then maybe -- just maybe -- you might be able to make that accusation. But before you go down that road, I want you to keep something in mind. Professor Reynolds is a very well respected member of this faculty, and her reputation is impeccable.

Shawna: Right, and Iím just some clueless undergraduate.

Rae: What Iím trying to say to you is this -- if you accuse her of giving an award-winning student good grades -- and even to his brother -- you may be getting into something that could put you in an awful lot of hot water.

Shawna: Look, I know what I know.

Rae: It's what you say, do you understand that? What you say that could put you into a courtroom defending a slander suit. You should try to remember that. Now, I really have to go. I have to teach a class. Ok? You will excuse me? Ok. I'll see you later.

Shawna: Mm-hmm.

R.J.: Excuse me. Sorry to interrupt again, but I couldn't help overhearing your conversation with Dr. Cummings. Can I buy you a cup of coffee?

Jen: Hey.

Al: Hey.

Jen: Ready to go?

Al: Yeah, I'm ready when you're ready.

Jen: Yeah, we should hit the road. You got your books?

Al: Yep. Hey, did you -- did you hear that crazy rumor?

Jen: What?

Al: The one about you and me -- getting hitched?

Jen: Oh, yeah. That's Mollie and Shawna for you. What are you going to do?

Al: I don't know. Throw them off a bridge.

Jen: Yeah.

Al: Although -- I mean, I was -- I was thinking -- it's almost like they -- well, like they read my mind.

Jen: What?

Al: Oh, nothing. It's just -- well, I mean, I was thinking, you know, if we wanted to give those two something to really gossip about, I was thinking we could -- well, we could get married. You know, for real.

Jessica: Where are you going?

Seth: To find Allison.

Jessica: All right. I'll go with you.

Seth: I'm going to wring her neck.

Jessica: No, you're just going to make her give us the money back, that's it.

Seth: Excuse me!

Natalie: Whoa! What's up with the two of you?

Seth: Your friend Allison stole 1,000 bucks, and Iím getting blamed.

Natalie: What? Allison -- how did that happen? Now what am I going to do?

Troy: Sam -- Sam, I mean it, go, just get out!

Sam: No!

Troy: Oh, God! Sam, listen to me, this whole building's going down! Just leave me here and go! Go!

Sam: No. No, no, no. We're both getting out of here! Now, just hang on. I'm going to try and break these. Brace yourself!

Troy: All right, go, go, go, go, go! Ah! Look out! Sam!

Nora: No, you donít. You're not getting away with this. You are not getting away with this!

Lindsay: Oh! Ow! Get your hands off me!

Nora: Game over, Lindsay. You lose.

>> Stay tuned for scenes from the next "One Life to Live."

>> On the next "One Life to Live" --

Bo: You were following me. What's going on?

Nora: Yes, I need comm. Buchanan, please.

Ben: Well, is there any possibility that she was telling the truth?

Troy: Sam, wake up!

Al: Marry me.
