Antonio: Yeah? That might actually work in your favor. I mean, if he saw it, it -- he might think that you don't really care that much about her. Cristian: And that hurting her might not be the best way to get back at me? Antonio: Exactly. In the meantime, why don't we have a seat and you try to I.D. this guy. . Cristian: What if I can't? Antonio: Then I'm going to have to question Jen. Cristian: No, no. No way. I don't want her in the middle of this. Antonio: She's already in the middle of this, Cris. Cristian: But she doesn't know that. And if she finds out what's going on, she could freak. Antonio: She got the longest look at the guy. Cristian: I got a good look at him when I ripped off his mask, ok? There's no way I could forget this guy. Antonio: I hope you're right. Cristian: Oh, man. Wait a minute. That's the guy. Antonio: Are you sure? Cristian: Positive. Antonio: Then we've got a problem. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Keith: Yeah, a local listing for Rappaport. I know it's not easy. But look, maybe it's for the best. You know, if you're really involved with this guy Seth, you should probably talk to him about it. Jessica: No. You're wrong. I'm sorry. Seth: You'll have to excuse Natalie. She's a little sensitive. Viki: Really? That's not the word I would use. Seth: When you were out of town, Mr. Davidson accused her of stealing. Things got a little ugly. Viki: Really? He didn't tell me anything about that. Seth: That's because it was a false alarm, just a big mistake, just like this is. Viki: Is that a fact? Seth: Absolutely. Viki: She doesn't seem quite as eager to share in excuses as you are. Seth: She's upset, scatterbrained. She doesn't -- Viki: In that case, why don't you just let me have a word with my assistant. You may leave. Seth: But, Mrs. Davidson -- Viki: Get out of my house, Seth. Now. Viki: Well, obviously, I didn't buy any of the nonsense that he was peddling. But I'll bet you're just dying to tell me the truth, aren't you? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Allison: Why are you so eager to know everything? Ben: I like secrets. And I like to hear how rich you're going to be when Viki Davidson gives you money. Allison: That doesn't bother you? You have no problem with that, do you? Ben: Problem? No. I'm curious. Allison: Hmm. I see. Ben: You know what, Allison? You don't have to tell me now. You can wait until we get outside. Allison: But you were in such a rush to know. Ben: I know, but I know how much you want to get out of here, and so do I. Allison: Well, actually, now that I'm going to be free, I'm not in such a hurry to leave. In fact, I think I’d like to stick around for a while. Ben: But why, Allison? Allison: Well, I'd like to thank Dr. Cummings again for being such a big help. Ben: She's a really busy lady, and I think she's going to be busy for a long time. Allison: No, she's going to be right back. In fact, I wonder what's keeping her. Ben: No, no, no! Wait, wait! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Sam: I want to talk to you. Troy: Sam, can we at least start this conversation off on a civil note? Sam: You ordered a new test for my son? Troy: Yes, I did. Sam: You decided to put him through God knows what procedures without my permission? Troy: Ok, look -- first of all, the tests were necessary. Sam: So you say. Troy: Second of all, I don't need your permission. I have permission from his mother. Sam: In case you've forgotten, Doctor, Matthew has two parents. Don't you ever attempt to exclude me from decisions regarding my son's well-being. [Phone rings] Sam: Hello? Blair: Oh, Sam, it's me, Blair. Look, I need your help. The baby's coming. Its two months early. And I don't -- there are no doctors. There's nobody. I'm alone. Sam: Ok, Blair, I'm on my way. Where are you? Blair: I'm in Mexico. Sam: Mexico? Blair: Yeah. I flew down here. I wanted to get away. Sam: You're down there all by yourself? Blair: Well, Todd was here, but -- but he left and I don't know that he's coming back. He still thinks that this baby is Max's. Sam: Why didn't you tell him, Blair? Blair: I was about to, and then the baby -- oh, God, he started coming and then he left. Oh, Sam, what am I going to do? Oh, God, Todd! Oh -- oh, God. Todd. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Al: Oh, it's pretty obvious you're in love with the guy. Just the mention of his name and you grin like you're in a toothpaste commercial. Jen: Maybe I shouldn't be talking to you about Cristian. Al: Hey, friends talk to each other about everything. Jen: I know. But this is just a bad idea. Al: Hey, look, you need to relax, ok? I'm a big boy. I've tasted defeat before. Jen: Thanks. Because I don't have that many friends here, and calls to Switzerland are expensive. But if I don't talk to somebody about how amazing everything is with me and Cristian, I think I'm just going to explode. Al: That's not really how it looked when I walked in. Jen: That jealousy thing, that was minor. I am so in love with him, Al. And he's in love with me, too. Al: The real deal, huh? Jen: After everything with the trial and my mom trying to break us up, I never thought anything would work out for us. But finally it did. It was -- Al: All right, all right, all right. I got the picture. Al: As long as you're happy. Jen: I am. For the first time in a really long time, I am really happy. Al: Good. I mean, I am happy for you. Jen: Cristian was so loving, so gentle, so protective. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cristian: What's wrong? Antonio: I was hoping it would be someone else. Cristian: Why? You know this guy? Antonio: Only by reputation. Cristian: He's a pro? Antonio: Wanted in at least six states. Cristian: What's he wanted for? Antonio: Murder. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starr: No, I don't want to give the letter to Daddy! Addie: Sweetheart, I really think it's a good idea. Starr: You gave it to me, and the letter is part of the collage. Addie: It's against -- Starr: And it's mine. Addie: It's against the law to read other people's mail. Starr: Fine. You don't want to read it to me? Then I’ll find someone else to read it to me! Addie: Stop! Stop that! Rae: Whoa, what's going on here? Addie: We need your help. We're having a little misunderstanding about -- Starr: It's not a misunderstanding! It's mine! Rae: I'm a little busy right now. Starr: Give it to me! Addie: No! Stop it! Rae: Instead of fighting over it, why don't you just cut it in half? What a good idea, don't you think? Good. Starr: No. Addie: Dr. Cummings always has the best ideas! Here. This is for you, and this half's for me. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Blair: Oh. Oh. Sam, Todd won't abandon me. I just know he won't because he loves me. Sam: Did he tell you that? Blair: Well, not in so many words, but in his own way. Sam: And what's that? Blair: Well, he -- he started to scream at me for abandoning Starr. And, you know, that's his own way because he knows that he's the one that has kept me from her. Sam: Blair, you're starting to sound better. Has the pain gone away? Blair: Oh, I -- I guess I'm in between contractions, I guess. I hope. Sam: You know maybe what you -- you have what you had before, you know, when you were here at the hospital. Blair: Yeah, but you know what? And maybe it's not what I had before -- those Braxton hicks. Maybe this is the real thing, Sam! Sam: Um -- listen, whatever you do, don't hang up the phone. Blair: Like I have someplace else to go. Sam: So, Blair, if you're sure that he loves you, why didn't you tell him about the baby? Blair: Because, Sam, I don't know if I can trust him with the truth. Sam: Blair, you have to tell him. First chance you get, you have to tell him. Blair: What if he thinks I'm just saying that because I'm afraid to have the baby alone? Sam: If he loves you, he'll know you're telling the truth. Blair: Oh. Oh! Ow! Sam: What's wrong? Blair: I feel a contraction coming! Ow. Sam: Ok, well just -- just keep breathing. Blair: Oh, God! What -- what if Todd doesn't come back? Sam, I’d be here all by myself! Please, help me! Get -- get Dr. Conklin or Larry to help, please. I don't know what to do. Tell them -- tell me -- tell me what to do. Please! Sam: Ok. Don't worry, don't worry. There's a doctor here. Just hold on. He'll help you out. Remember Blair Cramer? Thought she was going into early labor a few weeks ago? Troy: Right, right, right. Sam: Well, this is the real thing. But she's in Mexico, she's alone, and she's scared. Troy: Ok, let me talk to her. Blair? Blair, this is Dr. MacIver. Can you hear me? Blair: Yeah. Troy: Ok. Do you know if there's a hospital nearby? Blair: Yeah. Yeah. It's -- oh. It's about an hour away, but I can't drive, I can't get there. What am I going to do? Please -- Troy: Ok, now, Blair, the first thing you're going to do is stay calm. Now, if I remember correctly, you already have one child, right? Blair: Yeah. A little girl named Starr. Troy: Ok, good. So then you've been through this before. You remember your Lamaze classes? Do you know your breathing technique? Blair: Oh, yeah, I do, I do! Oh, God, the contractions are coming fast! Troy: Ok, ok. How -- just stay focused, Blair. How far apart are the contractions? Blair: Very quick, very fast! Troy: Ok, look, Blair, I want you to listen to me. Now, women all over the world have given birth on their own. Blair: Oh, thank you so much for the data, doctor. Well, not me! Troy: Blair, you can do this, ok? Now, are you sure there's no one else around? Blair: Todd, help me. Todd! Todd -- oh, God, help. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Allison: What's your problem now, Dave? Ben: Well…you can say good-bye to Dr. Cummings later. First, tell me your plan. Allison: One minute you want to know, then the next minute you want to wait till we're on the outside, and now you want to know. What's going on, Dave? Ben: Nothing. I just want to know. Allison: Is that all you care about, my plan? Ben: No. Allison: Are you only interested in me because you think I'm going to be rich? Ben: I don't care about money. Allison: Don't lie to me! I hate liars! Ben: I hate liars, too, Allison. Allison: I thought we had something special. Ben: We do! It's just -- it's just this place. We’ve got to get out of here. Allison: You're right, Dave. You stay here. I'll go to my room; I'll get my bag. Then we'll leave together. Ben: That's good. Allison: And then I’ll tell you everything about my plan. Ben: I like plans. Allison: I'll be right back. Ben: I'll be right here. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Viki: Any time, Natalie, Let's have your version of the truth. Natalie: Fine. But you're not going to like it. Viki: Why doesn't that surprise me? Natalie: You're right about one thing. I've been dying to tell you the truth. Excuses are Seth’s game because, you know, he was always waiting for that right moment because he's always so worried about poor Jessica. Viki: And you're not? Natalie: No. I am sick and tired of sneaking around and pretending and having to be nice to that stupid, simpering, trust fund brat. Viki: How dare you. She's been nothing but kind and decent to you, and this is how you repay her? Natalie: Get over yourself, will you? You said you wanted to hear the truth. So here it is. Seth and I are lovers, and we have been since way before we met Jessica. Natalie: Service with a smile! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Jessica: Why do you have Seth’s place as your address on this clinic form? What's going on? So, what do you guys think? I mean, you're -- you're going to get over this, right? Blair: Ugh! Troy: Blair! Sam: What's going on? Troy: I don't know. I hear voices. There's a guy talking to her, but I can barely hear her. We may have a bad connection. Maybe we should hang up and call her -- Sam: No! No, no, no! It's Mexico. We might never reconnect. Come out here where the signal is stronger. Todd: Ok, um -- the baby's -- baby's coming now? Blair: Yes. The baby's coming now, Todd. Todd: Ok, that's not so good because the midwife is nowhere to be found. And, well, everybody's gone, from -- from everywhere. I mean, there's nobody for miles. Blair: Yeah, well, what'd you do, run them off? Todd: No, I -- well, I -- I heard a car, so I ran down to the side of the road, but I was too late. Blair: Oh, where did they go? Todd: But there's good news. Blair: What? Todd: Oh, I don't know where they went. I did see a sign when I was coming in, though. There was some kind of All-Saints Festival or something. But then again, it could have been something about a chicken. I don't know, my Spanish is kind of shaky. Blair: Great. Todd: Anyway, the good news is that there was a map in the rental car and there's a hospital like 50 miles from here. Blair: Yeah, I know. Todd: Well, I'll drive you. Blair: You can't drive me, Todd. It's an hour on these roads, and I'm having the baby now! Todd: Why'd you come here to have a baby? Blair: Stop yelling at me! Todd: Well, it's a stupid thing to do! Blair: Don't you call me stupid, damn it! You're the stupid one! Todd: Hey, you watch the way you talk to me, ok? I'm the only person you got around here. Blair: Ok, ok, I'm sorry. Just shut up! Todd: Why? Blair: Because I've got something to tell you, that's why! Todd: I know, you're having a baby. Blah, blah, blah. Blair: No, I've got something to tell -- ow! Oh, Todd! Oh! Oh! Troy: Hello? Is there anybody there? Hello? Can you hear me? Is there anybody there? Hello? Todd: Who's this? Troy: This is Dr. Troy MacIver from Llanview hospital. Is Blair ok? [Blair moans] Todd: Well, no, she -- she's not looking so hot right now. Troy: Ok, whom am I speaking with? Todd: Todd. Troy: Todd, look, I was going to talk Blair through this, but now that you're here, I'm going to talk to you. Todd: About what? Troy: About how to deliver a baby. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Al: Hey, did you see this? Jen: Campus-wide modeling contest? Al: Jen, you should enter. You're the prettiest girl on campus. Jen: No. I could never be a model. Shawna: She can say that again. Al: What's your problem? Shawna: Nothing. I was just agreeing with her. Mollie: Yeah, it's good to know your limitations. Al: What the hell are with you two? Why don't you get out of here? Shawna: Just making an observation. Al: You don't think I've seen you two drooling over Cristian Vega? Mollie: Whatever. Shawna: Well, just forget him. He's a loser. Al: Bye. Look, I'm sorry. Those girls are pathetic. Jen: Not to mention nasty. Al: Just forget about them. Just -- better yet, let's show them how wrong they are. Jen: Why? Because I'm going to enter the contest and lose? Al: No, because you're going to win. Jen, if you win, you're at least going to win $500, ok? All you have to do is drop a picture off. You're going to get a photo shoot with a professional photographer. Jen: I don't even have any pictures of myself. Al: Yeah, you do. Remember that shot at the quarry I took? Just give me the word and I'll drop it off. Jen: It's really good? Al: No, it's horrible. Of course it's great. Jen: I really could use the $500. I want to buy this software program about architecture for Cristian. And I get an allowance from my dad, but I really wouldn't feel right asking him for more. Al: And you're definitely not going to ask Mommy dearest. Jen: You got that right. Al: So go for it. Jen: I won't win. Al: Somebody's got to win, Jen. Don't let it be Mollie and Shawna. Come on. Jen: I don't care about them. You're right. They're jealous of me. They're jealous because Cristian loves me. Ok. I'll do it. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Antonio: Guy's name is Keith Schaeffer. Total psycho. He's got four murder charges hanging over his head. He's got nothing to lose. Cristian: So, if he winds up killing Jen to get to me -- Antonio: Don't even go there. Cristian: I have to, Antonio. The guy has. Antonio: Look, did you get anything, anything at all when you met with R.J.? Cristian: He was nervous and definitely worried about me. My guess is he didn't know how lethal this Schaeffer guy was when he hired him. Antonio: What, now you're defending R.J.? Cristian: No, Antonio, I'm not. But I think he got a lot more than he bargained for. Whatever he is, R.J. is not a murderer. Antonio: Not yet. Cristian: Well, you can bet he doesn't want to go down as an accessory. That's why he was trying so hard to convince me to get out of town, to get away from this Schaeffer guy. Antonio: He's the one who hired this Schaeffer guy to come after you in the first place. Cristian: My take is that this Schaeffer guy was just supposed to scare me. When I got away, when I hit back, he flipped. Things got personal. Antonio: He's trying to get to you through Jen. Cristian: Which is why we've got make sure Jen is protected, Antonio. Antonio: I'll get her round-the-clock protection, 24/7. Cristian: For what, so she can live like a prisoner because of me? Antonio: What, you got a better idea? Cristian: Part of me wants to tell her what's going on so she can be on guard. But she'd be so scared. She might do something stupid. Antonio: But if you don't warn her? Cristian: She might put herself in danger without realizing it. Antonio: So, what do you want me to do? Cristian: Promise me nothing will happen to her. I need 100% guarantee that this Schaeffer guy can't come near her. Antonio, I need you to promise me as a cop and as my brother that Jen will be safe. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Addie: Dr. Cummings, we did what you said, and I'm making my half so pretty. Rae: Oh, well, you're very creative, Addie. Starr: Now, could you read this for me? Rae: I really don't have time right now, Starr. I'm sorry -- Starr: Please, please! It's -- it's only these two words. And, you know, I can't read script. Rae: Ok. Ok. Let's see. Where do you want? Starr: Right there. That's it. Rae: This is it, right here? Starr: Yeah, that's it. Rae: All right. It says "it's your --" all right, do you see that? This is an "i", this is a "t" -- Starr: Oh, I get it! Rae: You do? Starr: Yeah. It's just like printing, only all the letters run together. Rae: Basically, yes. You're a very smart little girl. She's a very smart little girl. Starr: I get it from my father. Rae: Now I really have to go. Starr: Give me your half, Grandma. I want to read more script. Addie: No! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Cristian: You can't promise me Jen will be safe, can you? Antonio: No. No one can. Cristian: Antonio, I love her so much. Antonio: I know. Cristian: As much as I want to, I can't protect her. Neither can you. Antonio: We'll do our best. Cristian: As long as that hit man knows I care about her, she's a target. If I stay here and try to protect her, he'll know how much she means to me. If I leave and she follows, he'll track us both down. Either way, her life is in danger. Antonio: Yeah. Cristian: There's only one thing I can do. If I want to protect her, I’ve got to break up with her. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Seth: How'd you get in here? Jessica: I used the key that you left at the hospital. Seth: Why? Are you all right? What's going on? Jessica: Well, there's something here that belongs to me. Seth: Well, maybe you left it here? Jessica: Really? Because I only came here once and I -- I don't remember leaving topless. Seth: Um, maybe -- Jessica: You know, I gave this to Natalie as a gift. So she left it here, didn't she? Didn't she? Seth: I -- I don't know what to say. Jessica: Why don't you start by telling me the truth? What's going on between you and Natalie? ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Viki: Natalie, if you think you're scoring points for honesty, you're not. Natalie: I really don't care. Viki: Jessica took you off the streets and got you a job, and you repay her by sleeping with her boyfriend? Natalie: Didn't you hear me? Seth and I are lovers. And we have been since way before he ever met Princess Jessica. He was never her boyfriend, and I was never out on the streets. That was all part of the plan. Viki: The plan? Never mind, I don't even want to hear it. You disgust me. Natalie: Welcome to the real world. Viki: You're fired! And you can get out of my carriage house now. I said get out. Natalie: No. I'm not going anywhere. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Rae: Ben. Finally. How dare you confront Allison, especially when I told you not to. Ben: What are you talking about? Rae: She's still recovering, Ben. You could've undone months of therapy. Ben: I didn't confront her. Rae: Come on! I saw you with her. I just hope I could convince her to ignore you and instead focus on Viki and that Viki forgave her. And I don't know what you said to her, but whatever it is -- Ben: Wait a minute, wait a minute! You told Allison that I'm Viki's husband? Rae: Yes, of course I did! Ben: What are you, a fool? Rae: What are you talking about? Ben: Do you have any idea what you have done? Rae: Ben. Ben: You don't know this woman, Rae. You don't know what she's capable of. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Starr: Watch how good I can read script, Grandma. Addie: I remember when I learned to read script. It was in Mrs. Krug's class. She was a very good teacher. She was so tall. I liked her. Starr: This is amazing! Addie: What? Starr: Your half says "baby, Todd." Addie: That is silly. Todd isn't a baby. Starr: No, but -- Grandma, if you put my half and you’re half together, it says, "It's your baby, Todd." Addie: That's right! You can read script, too. You know, I remember your mommy saying something like that to me once about the baby. Starr: Grandma, do you know what this means? Addie: No, what? Starr: Mommy is really having Daddy's baby. Only Daddy thinks that it's Max's! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ [Blair moans] Todd: Ok, I got that water and the towels. Troy: Ok, good. Now, how long since the last contraction? Todd: How long since the last contraction? Blair: I don't know -- two minutes, you jerk! Todd: Hey, she just called me a jerk! Blair: Oh! Troy: Ok, Todd, look, labor is extremely painful. Now, there comes a point when a patient will scream at whoever is nearby. Todd: Yeah, well, I think she reached that point. Blair: What point, Todd? What are you talking about? Oh! Troy: Todd? Todd, are you there? Todd: Yeah. Troy: Ok, look, the important thing is that you don't take anything personal, ok? Todd: Oh, that's easy for you to say. You're, like, 5,000 miles away. Troy: You're very right. But listen to me; I need you to do something for me now. I need you to check and tell me if you can see the baby's head. Todd: Yeah. How am I supposed to do that? Blair: What? What? Todd: You want me to look down there? Troy: That's what I need you to do. Just look down and tell me if the head is visible. Todd: Oh, no, no. I -- I don't think I can stomach that. Blair: Todd Manning, I swear to God, if you don't help me have this baby, I'm going to -- I'm going to kill you! Todd: Hey, just hold your water -- hey, that's funny. It's not like you can hold your water now. It's a little late for -- Blair: Shut up! Sam: What's happening? How is she? Troy: He's checking to see if the baby is crowning. Todd: Are -- are you still there? Troy: Yeah, Todd, I'm still here. Todd: Ok, I -- I saw the head. Troy: Ok, good. Todd: No, it's really not pretty. Troy: That's ok, never mind that. You just need to get ready. Todd: For what? Troy: This baby is about to be born. Blair: Oh, God! [Blair screams] Todd: Now, I don't know nothing about birthing no babies. Blair: Oh!
