Felicia: How much dirt did Lucy manage to stuff into her book?

Bobbie: [ Chuckles ] About you or me?

Felicia: All of us.

Bobbie: Well, at first glance? Wheelbarrows full. How fast can you read?

Curtis: Babe, how's everything at the station? Yeah. Well, I wish you were here, too, but somebody's got to look out for the whole city while the rest of us stake it out one party at a time, especially since our -- our neighborhood serial killer likes a night out. And his idea of a big event involves a body count.

Ryan: [ Sniffs ]

[ Lock clicking ]

[ Knock on door ]

Ryan: Good. They're early.

Sonny: We got to go. Lucy's expecting us at the book signing. Why did I give her money to write that book?

Carly: Honey.[ Chuckles ] I don't think we should go anywhere until we talk about what happened with Mike.

Sonny: Carly. Everything is under control. Can we just forget about what happened today?

Carly: I can't. I can't pretend that everything... what are you -- going to be okay when, clearly, it's not. That's why I made an appointment for us with Kevin.

Laura: Why isn't this door locked?

Lulu: I was just about to lock up before you came in.

Laura: Are you all alone in here?

Lulu: I guess I am.

Laura: Lulu, do I really need to remind you that there is a serial killer on the loose? So, what do you say? Are you ready to, uh, go to that book launch with me?

Lulu: I have to meet you there. I'm finishing up a story.

Laura: I thought the book launch was the story.

Lulu: I'm working something else, like an independent project.

Laura: Lulu, is it about the serial killer?

Lulu: No. Peter killed that. He doesn't want to publicize that the pcpd believes there may be a connection between today's killer and Ryan Chamberlain.

Laura: And that was a very good decision on Peter's part.

Chase: I am so sorry that I'm late.

Willow: No, don't apologize. I'm amazed you were able to make it at all with everything that's going on.

Chase: Oh, I just need some distance. Look at it with fresh eyes in the morning. I'm gonna put everything aside so I can enjoy every minute I have with you.

Nina: I referred to Charlotte as my stepdaughter out of force of habit.

Valentin: Ah. And are there any other habits you may want to fall back into?

Nina: Like marrying you again?

Valentin: Exactly like that. Nina Reeves, will you honor me and be my wife again?

Maxie: Nina! Could you please tell my parents that nobody is going to die here tonight?

Nina: Um...that's a hope.

Mac: It's not too late to cancel the book launch.

Nina: Oh, you talk to Lucy about that. She would not have it.

Maxie: In fact, Lucy is probably ready. So what do you say we get this un-canceled party started and introduce her?

Nina: Okay.

Maxie: Yoo-hoo.

Nina: Mm-hmm. Okay.

Maxie: Ladies and gentlemen, eyes up here, please.

Nina: I'm sure you are all aware of our guest of honor as the mistress of ceremonies at the Nurses' Ball.

Maxie: But tonight she is the center of attention.

Nina: [ Chuckles ] That's just the way she likes it.

Maxie: [ Clears throat ] Yes, she has written an incredible book. It's really a page-turner. It explores the many facets of Port Charles' varied history.

Nina: From Dr. Steve hardy to Sonny Corinthos.

Maxie: You'll find it all in this book -- "Travel Guide to Port Charles."

Nina: "When to go..."

Maxie: "Where to live..."

Nina: "Who to love..."

Maxie: "Who to never, ever cross..."

Nina: "In america's most dramatic city."

Maxie: Please, let's welcome the author...

Both: Lucy Coe!

[ Cheers and applause ]

Lucy: Ladies and gentlemen, I want to thank you all for coming, and I just want you to know that these two gorgeous, wonderful gentlemen behind me... [ Chuckles ] ...Are part of my security detail. And they are here just to assist the pcpd in keeping us all safe from perhaps the worst killer I think that Port Charles has ever seen, well, since my "best bosom buddy in push-up bras," Felicia Scorpio, inadvertently lured Ryan Chamberlain here to Port Charles. But enough of that for now because guess what -- it's all in my book, which I'm going to read from anon. And by the way, I have picked some tantalizing tidbits for your listening pleasure. But could you just, though, excuse me for one teeny, tiny moment? [ Chuckles ] Hey. Do you happen to know if doc is coming?

Felicia: No! I keep his schedule in my other push-up bra!

[ Crowd murmuring ]

Mac: Lucy, how about mentioning some of the, uh, specialty cocktails I created just for this event?

Lucy: Oh, yeah, Mac! That meant so much. Thank you. Hey, everybody.

Maxie: Okay, we introduced her. She's in the spotlight.

Lucy: I hope you will Avail yourselves of the complimentary cocktails...

Maxie: The peacock has landed. The hard part is over.

Nina: Valentin asked me to marry him again. ...

Lucy: By our ex-police commissioner...

Maxie: Really? What did you say?

Nina: I haven't given him an answer.

Lucy: Restaurant owner and expert mixologist, Mac Scorpio!

Nina: I want to ask you a question. I want you to be completely honest with me.

Maxie: Okay. But you need to remember you literally asked for it.

Nina: Okay. Uh, would you be mad if I said yes?

Peter: All right, ladies. Take your pick. We have the Spencer special, the pickle-lila-tini, and my personal favorite, Carbonic Snow. I'm sure there are stories behind all of these.

Maxie: Peter, this is awesome. Could you get two more?

Peter: You haven't even tried it.

Maxie: I need you to go away so I can tell Nina something.

Peter: Two more Carbonic Snows coming right up.

Maxie: Thanks. Okay, Nina, I-I can't tell you what to do. I never listen when people tell me what to do, so that would be hypocritical of me to tell you what to do, but what I can say is...

Nina: [ Sighs ]

Maxie: ...Follow your heart.

Nina: Follow my heart?

Maxie: What?

Nina: My heart's an idiot. If you opened up my chest, my heart would be wearing a dunce cap.

Maxie: I'm not sure what to say to that, but I do want you to know that whatever your answer is to Valentin, you and I, we're always, always gonna be family.

Lucy: I wanted to start the evening off by dedicating it to my top investor, but apparently, uh, that person hasn't arrived yet, so who cares? We're just gonna keep on going because I think it's very important that I-I do the first passage about one of Port Charles' most iconic citizens. [ Clears throat, chuckles ] [ Sighs ] "...Sonny. Since I've known him, he's always been attracted to headstrong women. But there's only so much stubbornness a proud man can take before he expects his lady to yield."

Sonny: I don't need a shrink. Not for -- n-not for this.

Carly: It's not a therapy session. I'm just looking for some professional advice.

Sonny: That's why I hired caregivers for my dad. And so we know when the bad days are coming and then we can do something about it, right?

Carly: It wasn't just a bad day, sonny. Your father punched you in the face.

Sonny: I'm a boxer. I know how to handle it.

Carly: He punched you in the face because he thought you were a stranger who was trying to steal his things. Mike still has good days, but the good days are becoming less and less.

Sonny: I-I went upstairs, and I-I sat with him for a couple minutes and he seemed calm and lucid.

Carly: A couple minutes.

Sonny: Okay, well, um, how long do you think it's gonna last?

Carly: Mike's getting worse, and he's gonna continue to get worse, and -- [Scoffs] Till there's gonna be no good days at all.

Sonny: Okay, stop. Stop right there. I just... can you just see things from my point of view?

Carly: I know how badly you want to repair the damage between you. I know you want to make peace out of all the hurt and the anger. I get that. I really get that. But ignoring what's going on with Mike doesn't help any of us, least of all Mike. Look, I'm not saying I know what to do. But you don't, either. That's why I want to talk to Kevin.

Ryan: Ava? I thought I told you I had appointments tonight.

Ava: Well, y-you did. But I thought I'd check in, see if you have spoken to Sonny and Carly yet about allowing me to take Avery out of the country.

Ryan: [ Chuckles ] Well... as a matter of fact, I'm meeting with them in a few minutes.

Ava: Oh! Well, that's -- that's perfect. I'll join.

Ryan: Actually, um.

Ava: Kevin. I'm not going anywhere.

Lulu: You must be cursing this fate. You're finally the mayor, and this is the mess you walk into. On day one.

Laura: I'm cursing this serial killer. The idea that he might actually be copying Kevin's brother... [ Sighs ] ...It terrifies me. I mean, three people -- three innocent people are already dead. Is he planning on six more?

Lulu: Six?

Laura: Well, yes, to reach Ryan's final count. Every time I close my eyes, I see that list with all the names on it -- all nine names.

Lulu: Wait, wait, mom, where did you see nine names?

Laura: What is this? On Kevin's desk.

Lulu: He made a list.

Ryan: Ava, I-I don't want you to take this the wrong way, but I'm afraid your presence might be counterproductive.

Ava: On the contrary, once you get into it with Sonny and Carly about Avery, things are gonna get heated. There'll be a lot of shrillness and volume from Carly, a lot of Macho posturing from sonny, and you won't be able to get a word in edgewise.

Ryan: I am a professional.

Ava: Well, that's my point exactly.

Ryan: You're calm, measured. You don't know how to fight fire with fire. And that's why you need your own dragon in the room.

Ava: [ Chuckles and growls ] I'd rather you save that fire for when we celebrate our victory over them.

Ryan: Why, Dr. Collins, are you trying to seduce me into leaving?

Ava: I can do this. But then, for you, I can and will do anything. You just wait and see. I'll meet you at the book party later, okay?

Ryan: Okay. I-if you're sure.

Ava: I think I can hold my own. There's a side to me you've never seen.

Sonny: I thought you were pissed at Kevin.

Carly: I was. He yelled at me at the hospital. But then he called and apologized.

Sonny: Oh, I guess I missed that.

Carly: Look, despite how weird Kevin has been acting lately, he was a huge help for me at Ferncliff. And I think with everything this family is going through, we could use one session. You know, Kevin can help us gain a little perspective on everything.

Sonny: Oh, no, no. I have all the perspective I need.

Carly: No, you don'T. You -- you really don'T. We need to talk this through rationally, Sonny, with someone who understands all the complicated feelings surrounding it. And Kevin's a neutral party.

Sonny: [ Sighs ] Oh, so you think he's gonna agree with you.

Carly: Why are you being so resistant?

Sonny: I'm -- I'm...

Carly: You talked to a psychiatrist.

Sonny: For my medication.

Carly: Okay, well, you went and you spoke to a psychiatrist when Kristina went through everything she was going through with Kiefer.

Sonny: This is different, Carly.

Carly: Okay. Kind of, but not really. That was a crisis. And so is this. It's still a crisis, Sonny. And I'm not gonna let it tear us apart, okay? We need to deal with this. Please. Do this for me.

Lucy: "It was down there that the woman who puts the 'b' in 'bitch,' one Bobbie Spencer, revenged herself upon the one who did her wrong -- preppy mobster wannabe Damian Smith."

Bobbie: Lucy, does your book include your affair with my then-husband, Jake? And didn't you lose your beloved doc when he caught you canoodling with Scott Baldwin in your underwear, onstage, in front of the whole town?

Lucy: Yes, it did. Okay, so, your point is...?

Bobbie: Nothing. I just can't wait for you to find out who Kevin is with now. Talk about payback.

Lucy: Who? Who is he with?

Nina: Okay! Everybody, who wants to hear more?

[ Applause ]

[ Clears throat ]

Valentin: Well, I think your book is amazing, Lucy Coe. You really revealed many of us to be flawed and deeply complicated individuals, some of us more than others.

Lucy: Hmm! Indeed, that is very true, Mr. Cassadine. Oh, you know what? In fact, I just happen to have a passage especially for you. Let me see. [ Clears throat ] "Proving that evil is genetic, the brooding Valentin Cassadine reared his closely coifed head and extorted Nikolas into signing over the entire Cassadine Estate. Not content with swindling all of his nephew's earthly possessions, Valentin shot Nikolas on Cassadine Island. The tragic prince stumbled off his balcony and fell to his death."

Nina: That's not how it happened.

[ Clears throat ]

Maxie: Okay, Lucy, how about, uh, we hear a happier story?

Lucy: Oh! Well, you know, history is history, but okay. Uh, oh, I-I have something. I did this wonderful, uh, one-on-one interview with Robin Scorpio-Drake. [ Chuckles ] Ah, okay. "That was Faison's mo -- seizing control of people by hurting those they love."

Peter: Could we go back to the Cassadines? Just maybe a-a-a different Cassadine?

Lucy: Now, Mr. August, didn't your mommy ever teach you it's really not polite to interrupt a lady when she is speaking? So... "while Faison was dropping poison all over Port Charles, he was also deploying hypnotism and mind-control techniques to sow confusion and mistrust between my parents and my uncle, Mac."

Maxie: Okay, Lucy. [ Laughs ] Okay. Uh, for more stories on the evil Cesar Faison... [ Chuckles ] ...Buy the book. And maybe you have something else for the audience?

Lucy: Of course I do. Oh -- yeah, okay, wait, let me see. Ooh! I have exactly the right thing for this moment. Okay, here we go. [ Clears throat ] "In May of 1994, that sweet girl, the beloved daughter of Tony and Bobbie Jones, was left brain-dead after her school van was hit by a drunk driver. Tony made the unbearable decision to donate B.J.'S heart to his niece Maxie, then slowly wasting away of Kawasaki syndrome, as she awaited the only thing that would save her life -- a compatible heart for transplant. After the surgery, Dr. Jones lay his head on Maxie's chest and listened to the beat of his daughter's heart."

[ Crowd murmuring ]

Lulu: Why did Kevin have a list of Ryan's victims?

Laura: Because Ryan was getting an awful lot of publicity, and Kevin didn't want his brother to be glorified in any way. And he did want the dead to be remembered. So he made a list so that he wouldn't forget them himself. Actually, Felicia was on it, too, as number 10, but that's because Kevin sees her as Ryan's victim, even though, obviously, she survived.

Lulu: Makes sense, I guess. I hate to do this to you. You've stalled long enough. Lucy's book launch awaits, mom.

Laura: Oh, I know, I know, I know.

Lulu: If you see Kevin and Ava there, just ignore them.

Laura: That really is easier said than done. I-I mean it. I could use a little moral support.

Lulu: I'll be there as soon as I finish up.

Laura: Okay. I'm counting on you. And lock this door.

[ Lock engages ]

Carly: Thank you. Thank you, Kevin, for agreeing to see us tonight.

Sonny: Yeah, before we start, can I just say that, uh, I know y-you're going out of town with Ava.

Ryan: Yes, I thought you might have heard that.

Sonny: Now, what you do in your life is your business, but I'm not gonna allow Ava to take Avery out of the country 'cause I'm not sure she -- she won't disappear.

Ryan: I take it you don't trust her.

Sonny: Oh, no, I don't trust her. I don't trust her at all. You shouldn't trust her.

Ryan: Is that why you're here -- to talk about Avery and Ava?

Carly: No. No, we are here to talk about Sonny's father.

Ryan: Oh. Very good.

[ Lock engages ]

Ryan: Oh, sorry, it's a force of habit, so no one interrupts a session. So, what seems to be the problem?

Carly: Um, well, we need help deciding how to go forward with a man whose personality is drastically changing right before our eyes. I mean, it's as if he's becoming a different person.

Ryan: Well [Sighs] First thing, let me say you've come to the right place.

Nina: Hey! You never struck me as the designer-cocktail type.

Curtis: Well, you know what they say, when in Rome...

Nina: [ Chuckles ]

Curtis: Hey, since now we're chatting...

Nina: Let me guess. You want to congratulate me for moving back in with Valentin and want to tell me how happy you are that we managed to find our way back to each other against all odds?

Curtis: Let me ask you something. Is this a permanent move, or do you have a backup wardrobe downstairs in your suite?

Nina: I don't have a backup wardrobe. I have a lot of stuff.

Curtis: Mm-hmm.

Nina: I'm gonna tell you what I told Maxie -- that hopefully, you'll be happy for me regarding any decision I want to make.

Curtis: I make no promises.

Willow: Wow. Port Charles is a lot steamier than I thought. Clearly, I've been running with the wrong people.

Chase: Yeah, me, too. If it wasn't for double jeopardy, this book could put people away forever.

Willow: So, if you're not hanging with the, uh, colorful criminal element of Port Charles, who do you run with?

Chase: Oh, I'm actually quite wild.

Willow: Are you, now?

Chase: Yeah. When my brother and I get together, we raise all types of hell.

Willow: Such as...?

Chase: We get coffee. Sometimes two cups. Sometimes I don't even finish the first cup. Oh, gosh, I've shocked you, haven't I?

Willow: I'm scandalized.

[ Both chuckle ]

Willow: I can't wait to read about it in volume two of this book.

Chase: What about you? Who do you run with?

Willow: Well, I-I don't really run with anyone. I'm more of a lone wolf.

Chase: I can see that.

Willow: You can?

Chase: Oh, yeah. From the first moment I laid eyes on you, I thought, "wolf." [ Chuckles ] But I have an idea. How about -- how about we -- we run together, metaphorically, unless you like jogging?

Willow: I don't, but I do it anyway. And as for running together, not a bad idea.

Peter: You know, just hearing about Maxie's heart transplant earlier really made me all the more aware of just how precious she is to you and her mother. To all of us.

Mac: Good. Then I'm hoping you did as I asked and kept the link between the serial killer and Ryan Chamberlain out of your paper.

Peter: You have my word. Which, I'm happy to say, actually means something these days.

Mac: And why should I believe that?

Peter: Because there's nothing more important to me in this entire world than keeping Maxie and everyone she cares about safe.

Maxie: Let me guess. You guys are talking about baseball?

[ Chuckles ]

Mac: No, we were just, uh, talking about how important you and your mother are to both of us.

Peter: I'm happy you understand that, Mr. Scorpio.

Mac: Please. Just call me Mac.

Lucy: Hey, uh, pardon me. Could I just grab you for a teeny minute? Excuse us. Come on. Tiny, tiny --

Felicia: Stop dragging me!

Lucy: I will stop dragging you when you just tell me, please, where's Laura?

Felicia: I'm sure she has every intention of being here. She'll be here very soon.

Lucy: Great! Okay, what about doc?

Felicia: You mean Kevin.

Lucy: I-I do. I just mean, you know, he's probably not coming far, maybe. So, who, uh, would he be coming with? I mean, is he flying solo? Would he be coming alone?

Felicia: You know what? I am really dying for another pickle-lila-tini. Excuse me. Bobbie.

Laura: Hey. Are you okay?

Bobbie: Yeah, I'm fine. Lucy read a passage from her book about B.J., And it brought back a lot of memories.

Laura: Oh, I am so sorry. Ugh. Our Lucy is no tower of tact.

Bobbie: Yeah, well, she may be your Lucy, but she certainly isn't mine. Oh, honey, I'm so sorry. I know you didn't mean it like that.

Bobbie: It's okay. It's really okay. Can I get you something, maybe? A glass of water? How about a cup of tea?

Laura: No. Thank you. But I really do appreciate you being so gracious, especially given our past.

Bobbie: Oh. Do you mean our complicated history?

Laura: Yes.

[ Chuckles ]

Bobbie: Which is concisely and thoroughly explained in Lucy's book.

Laura: You're kidding. Ah. I thought that this was just about the town.

Bobbie: Oh, yes, and the people who inhabit it. Here. Take a look.

Lulu: You caught me hard at work. Valentin has Charlotte, and Rocco is having a sleepover at the Quartermaine'. I'm fine. I just -- we just wish you were home. What do you mean "I might not be able to reach you for a while"? For how long? Yeah, it's -- it's good that you're closing in on Raj. You have to do what you need to do. So do I. I love you, too. I miss you. I love you. [ Sighs ]

Laura: I see that list -- all the names on it, all nine names. He made a list. Nine names.

Carly: Sonny's relationship with Mike was troubled, to say the least. Do you want to share -- tell him?

Sonny: No, you go ahead.

Carly: Mike walked out on Sonny and his mother years ago when Sonny was a little boy. And they've patched things up over the years, more or less. Um, when Mike was diagnosed, sonny bent over backwards to make sure that Mike could stay home with us.

Sonny: Like any good son would.

Carly: Well, except sometimes Mike doesn't even know where he is or who Sonny is.

Sonny: Okay, you know, any bad blood that I -- that me and my father had happened a long time ago -- I'm his only son. I'm responsible for him. He has nobody. So I'm gonna make sure that he -- you know, he's close, he's cared for, and that he knows he's loved.

Carly: Even at the expense of his own well-being?

Ryan: Uh, if I may?

Sonny: Well, that's why we're here.

Ryan: I think I know where this is coming from. This is about Morgan. This is about the son you couldn't save.

Lucy: "Felicia fought Ryan off, stabbing him no more times than required -- but she still got sent to the loony bin. Only after concerted effort of Felicia's friends and family, led by Mac Scorpio, did the truth finally come out. Now, thanks to Mac, both her head and her heart are healed."

Mac: Oh! You know, I think it's time for a break. Lucy, how about another one of my signature cocktails?

Lucy: Oh! Well, thank you, Mr. Scorpio. Delicious, but -- [ Gasps ] Wait a minute, Mac. I just had a great idea for a drink. What if we call it the Tracy Quartermaine? Half bitters and half sours.

Maxie: [ Laughs ] That's actually pretty funny.

Felicia: I'll have a victor and a Lucy. It's a narrow glass of bourbon with a necklace stuck in it.

Maxie: Mom.

Lucy: Hey, um, ex-- excuse me. Um, Felicia, I-I don't know -- tell me if I'm reading the room wrong, but are you mad at me?

Felicia: Maxie, could you give us a moment?

Maxie: Mm-hmm.

Felicia: You asked if I was mad. Really? Why would I be? Just because you dredged up the most painful chapters of my past and read them to a room full of people at my expense?

Lucy: Okay, okay, but I-I can't believe you're really gonna be surprised by that. You know, Ryan's been getting a lot of -- of attention. It is the 25th anniversary of the murders. So I would be remiss if I didn't mention him in my book. Come on.

Felicia: I can see your perspective. It's just that with everything that's been going on lately, I really just didn't want to relive these ugly memories tonight!

Lucy: Okay, I -- sorry! [ Stammers ] Okay, I-I-I-I'm being insensitive. So please -- I'm sorry. Sorry. Will you accept my apology?

Felicia: Apology accepted.

Lucy: Yes! So, we're good?

Felicia: We're good.

Lucy: [ Laughs ] Okay. Great. So, can you answer a question for me, right? You -- you know, Bobbie mentioned perhaps, um, Kevin is seeing somebody. So you wouldn't happen to know who that somebody is? Could you tell me? No way in hell! There is no way doc is seeing that sleaze, Ava Jerome!

Ryan: Grief never really dies. It manifests itself in any number of ways instead. Sonny, I think that grief has reared its head because of the way you're dealing with your father. You couldn't save Morgan from that explosion. You were helpless. You were unable to keep him safe.

Sonny: Your point, doc?

Ryan: Your father's declining, and you want to keep him close in a way that you couldn't with Morgan. Your response is -- is very human. Frankly, it's admirable, honorable. I think it's particularly poignant.

Sonny: Well, how do I make it easier?

Ryan: Well, first of all, I would visit Morgan's grave.

Carly: Well -- well, we -- we visit Morgan's grave at least once a week.

Ryan: Good. Good. You want to keep those lines of communication open. Talk to him. Tell Morgan the things that you would tell him if he were still here.

Sonny: Forgive me, but what -- what does talking to my son have to do with helping my dad?

Ryan: Talking to Morgan will give you a tool for talking to your father, who isn't really here, either, is he?

Carly: Uh...we could go tomorrow.

Ryan: Why wait? Why not start healing tonight?

Sonny: You know what... [ Sighs ] I know we're supposed to be at Lucy's party, but I-I'm feeling like I'd rather talk to Morgan.

Carly: Me, too.

Sonny: Well... okay, wow.

Carly: Um, thank you. Thank you, Kevin.

Sonny: Yeah. Thanks, doc. That's -- that helped.

Ryan: It's my pleasure. And, uh, just call my assistant if you'd like to book a follow-up.

[ Door closes ]

Ryan: Something tells me you won't need it.

Valentin: I feel like you've been avoiding me.

Nina: Oh. A little.

[ Clears throat ]

Valentin: I asked you to marry me, you know?

Nina: Yeah. I-I needed time to consider it.

Valentin: What did you decide?

Peter: Hey.

Maxie: Hi. Look, I'm sorry.

Peter: What are you apologizing for?

Well, I basically arm-twisted you into being here tonight.

Peter: This is a publishing event.

Maxie: For a rival publisher. And then you had to stand there and listen to Lucy dredge up your demented father.

Peter: Well, nothing she said was untrue.

Maxie: That probably made it even worse.

Peter: Yes and no. It's always painful to hear about my father, but the fact that you didn't run away from me screaming makes it, uh, a good thing that I came here.

[ Chuckles ]

Mac: How would you like to try my favorite concoction? A Carbonic Snow.

Felicia: I'd love your concoction.

[ Chuckles ]

[ Cellphone ringing ]

Peter: Besides, compared to Valentin, I got off easy. [ Chuckles ] It's Lulu. Hey. Where are you? You're supposed to be covering this party.

Lulu: Peter, I beg you to reconsider.

Peter: Lulu.

Lulu: I-I have new information. If it checks out, you'll see the connection between the current killer and Ryan Chamberlain.

Peter: Lulu, I said no, and that's final. Now, get over here and cover this party like I assigned you.

Maxie: But... remind me never to work for you.

Peter: I just want to keep everyone safe, especially you.

Maxie: Wow...

Peter: What?

Maxie: That's exactly what Nathan would have said.

Bobbie: Well, I am heading out because I have had all of Lucy and her book that I can stand.

Laura: Oh.

Bobbie: You?

Laura: Believe me, I would love to join you, but as mayor, I sort of have to put in an appearance.

Bobbie: Okay, well, I admire your sense of duty, but if you should forget the dignity of your office and decide to rip Lucy's hair out, go, girl.

Laura: [ Chuckles ] Well, considering the fact that I am meeting my daughter here, I don't think I want her to catch me in a cat fight.

Bobbie: Oh, please. Lulu would be the first one to cheer you on.

Laura: So true.

[ Both laugh ]

Laura: Bye-bye, Bobbie.

Bobbie: Bye, sweetie.

Chase: Okay, that's enough of that.

Willow: Hey, I'll have you know my students love it when I read to them.

Chase: So do I, but being here on a date -- this is a date, right?

Willow: It is.

Chase: Surrounded by all these cops, I kind of feel like a slacker, like I can't really enjoy myself.

Willow: Then come on. Let's make like wolves and make a run for it if that's something wolves do.

Felicia: Congratulations to a successful party.

Maxie: Oh, thanks, Mom. And I'm sorry. I should have paid more attention to the actual contents of the book.

Felicia: Oh, I'm over it. On to more important things.

Maxie: Ooh! Like...?

Felicia: You and Peter.

Maxie: Peter is amazing. But I-I don't think I should be feeling this way today. It's Nathan and my anniversary.

Felicia: It's okay if you're not ready to move on. And it's okay if you are.

Maxie: Sometimes I think I am ready. And then sometimes I think I'm not. It's really frustrating.

Felicia: Just focus on what it is that you want. Whatever happens next, Maxie is entirely up to you.

Maxie: Excuse me, Mom. I have somewhere I need to be.

Felicia: Where are you going?

Maxie: What...?

Nina: I love you. I love being with you again. I love my life right now. It's perfect.

Valentin: Then why don't we make it more perfect?

Nina: That's the problem. See, all our problems, at least the big ones, happened when we were married. Why do that again? Why don't we just be together?

Valentin: Well, if that's what you want, that's what I want.

Nina: Well, I want to go home.

Lulu: Kevin, it's Lulu. My mother told me that you had a list of your brother's victims that totaled nine, instead of seven.I'd love to go over those names with you. Please get back to me.

Laura: Have you heard from Jordan tonight?

Curtis: Yeah. I just spoke with her about an hour ago. She's still hard at work.

Laura: She briefed me about the serial-killer investigation. She also made me aware that you are the one who found the possible link to the Ryan chamberlain murders. That's really good work.

Curtis: Let's just, uh -- let's just hope that link doesn't get publicized. Look, I don't know how much influence you have on your daughter, but it would --

Laura: We've already talked about it, and, uh, it's actually out of her hands. Peter August has already killed the story.

Ava: Hey, Lucy. Congratulations on the big event here.

Lucy: [ Clears throat ] It's so funny. I-I simply cannot remember inviting you.

Ava: And yet here I am. Is there something that you'd like to say to me?

Lucy: Yep. There certainly is. Stop it. Stop spreading lies. There is no way on earth that doc is involved with you.

Ava: Doc? Oh, Kevin. Yes, well, Kevin is a very wonderful man, and he and I share a deep and meaningful connection.

Lucy: Really? So, if you are involved with...doc... then you listen to me and listen very, very good. There's a thing or two you need to know about him.

Sonny: [ Sighs ] Now that I'm here, I-I don't know what to say.

Carly: You just take as much time as you need.

[ Leaves rustling ]

Lulu: Who's there?

Ryan: It's Kevin.

Lulu: [ Scoffs ] One sec. Kevin. You scared me.

Ryan: I'm sorry.

Lulu: [ Sighs ]

Ryan: I got your message.

Lulu: Yeah, I'm glad you came by. I thought you'd be at the party.

Ryan: Well, unfortunately, my plans changed.

On the next "General Hospital"

Anna [to Finn]: Why did I go blind now?

Willow [to Chase]: I've been letting you believe something that isn't true.

Michael [to Lucs]: I wanted to talk to you about Wiley's future.

Kim [to Elizabeth]: Oscar's late checking in.

Josslyn [to Oscar]: I'm sure there's a way in here.

Laura [to Curtis]: I will take her over Ava any day of the week.

Lulu [to Ryan]: Kevin, what are you doing?

Carly [to Sonny]: He deserves what he gets
