Provided By Suzanne

Finn: Uh-huh?

Alexis: Are you still okay about us seeing each other in and outside of a meeting?

Finn: You mean, does it suddenly start bothering me when it never has before?

Alexis: Yeah.

Finn: No. Why? Does it bother you?

Alexis: No. No. I mean, well, you know, I was sharing my thing today, and you weren't listening to me. And you, typically, listen -- Well, to me.

Finn: I'm sorry. It has nothing to do with you and everything to do with me.

Jordan: How lucky am I? I get to have breakfast with two of the finest men in the world, which makes me the luckiest girl in the world.

Curtis: Lucky in many ways.

Jordan: Yeah. Oh, my goodness. Um, can we not wait for an eye-opening health scare to do this again, please?

TJ: Yes, but at least it was a false alarm, so cheers to that.

Jordan: Cheers to that.

Curtis: Cheers.

Jordan: Yes. Yes. Um... I have to go. I have to get going. Uh, do you want a ride back to campus?

Curtis: You know what? Actually, can I -- If it's cool with you? Can I give T the ride and we can catch up on some much-needed uncle-nephew bonding time?

Jordan: Okay. I love that. I love you both. Come here.

Curtis: Yeah. Mm.

Jordan: Mwah. Thanks, baby. Bye. Bye. Call me later.

Curtis: Yeah, yeah. Have a nice day.

Jordan: You, too.

TJ: Uncle-nephew bonding time?

Curtis: Oh, that was a smokescreen.

TJ: Yeah. And a really bad one.

Curtis: [Laughs]

TJ: What's up, man?

Curtis: Truth is, TJ, man, I need to ask you a question. It's about your mother.

Nelle: So, what inspires you to ask me to meet you?

Michael: Well, I wanted to thank you for saying or doing whatever you did to get through to Ava. She agreed to share custody of Avery.

Nelle: Oh, I mean, I don't really think I had much to do with it. I mean, who knows what goes on behind closed doors between Ava and Sonny?

Carly: Thank you.

Carly: I need you to believe me.

Sonny: I believe you believe these things happen.

Carly: But you don't.

Sonny: When this is over -- And God willing, Avery comes home -- I need you to make an appointment with Dr. Collins.

Carly: All right. Here we go.

Bobbie: Hey, Carly.

Carly: Hey, Mom.

Bobbie: Oh. What are those for?

Griffin: [Clears throat]

Ava: Hi.

Griffin: Hi.

Ava: Fancy meeting you here.

Griffin: Yeah, well, I could say the same. Kelly's isn't exactly your regular coffee place.

Ava: No, but it is close to Avery's school, and I just dropped her off, so...

Griffin: Avery spent the night again?

Ava: She did, indeed. As a matter of fact, Avery is gonna be spending a lot more time with her mama from here on out.

Griffin: Really?

Ava: Yeah. In case there's any confusion, Griffin, that's good news.

Griffin: [Sighs] I know. It's just... Listen, ple-- please tell me you didn't use Sonny's father's condition against him to get custody.

[Elevator bell dings]

Stella: Mr. Corinthos, I'm glad I ran into you. Did you get my message?

Sonny: Yeah, I'm sorry. Yeah, um, I just -- I've been meaning to call you back. I got a lot of things going on --

Stella: It's okay. It's okay. I know you've been dealing with a crisis.

Sonny: Well, my -- my father and Avery are back, safe and sound, thank God.

Stella: Oh, good. You know, I know you are not the "talk out your feelings" type, but you're gonna have more feelings than you know what to do with. And when you do...

Sonny: You'll be the first one I call, I promise.

Stella: Good. Until then, I'll be thinking of you and your family. And I'm glad your father and daughter were found before anything terrible happened.

Sonny: I'm not sure they were.

Finn: I ran into Robert Scorpio the other day.

Alexis: Oh. And we both know what that's about.

Finn: Yeah. Of course, he asked me about my relationship with Anna.

Alexis: Mm-hmm. Well, that's not out of the ordinary. I'm sure he had good intentions. He's a Scorpio. You know, Scorpios look out for each other. They're like hawks looking out for other hawks.

Finn: I'm sure that's it. You know, it's just -- Forgive me. It's not something I'm used to. I guess that's what happens when you don't have any family.

Alexis: Well, we both know that's not true.

Chase: All these perp shots are starting to blend together. It's giving me a wicked headache.

Dante: Oh, wow, you keep saying that word, we're gonna have even more problems.

Chase: What, "wicked"?

Dante: You seem really tired, Harrison. Why don't you go home, get some sleep, maybe some food? You can come back and hit this with some fresh eyes, yeah?

Chase: What are you talking about? I'm fine.

Dante: No, I'm serious.

Jordan: So am I. You should listen to your partner, Detective Chase. Go on. Get out of here. And that is an order.

Chase: All right. Don't have to tell me twice.

Dante: Wow, that's some great work ethic you got there.

Chase: What would a Yankees fan know about ethics?

Dante: He likes to get the, uh, last word, that one.

Jordan: Yeah. So, uh, where are we with all of this?

Dante: Uh, not as far as I'd like to be. The wife -- She knows something. But she's not willing to testify. She says she hates the guy, but we can't compel her to do so. Commissioner, you --

Jordan: Oh! Whoa! Oh, my God. Darn it.

Dante: Here.

Jordan: That's -- That's graceful.

Dante: It's cool. We have it, uh -- Oh, that's not enough. We got it all on digital.

Jordan: Really?

Dante: Yeah.

Jordan: That's good. Ugh.

Dante: [Clears throat] Is something, uh -- something on your mind?

Jordan: Yeah, you could say that.

Dante: What?

Jordan: Marriage.

Carly: Kevin Collins prescribed them for me.

Bobbie: For anxiety?

Carly: Well, Sonny suggested I go see him after all the incidents.

Bobbie: How did that go?

Carly: Great. In the end, instead of Kevin jumping to the conclusion that I'm crazy, he focused on how much stress I'm under because no one believes me. You don't believe me either, do you?

Bobbie: Look, honey, all I know is what I can see for myself. My daughter is stressed out and in a lot of pain. So... It's good that Kevin prescribed these.

Carly: I hear a "but" coming. Can you just jump right to it, please?

Bobbie: No "buts." It's just -- What you experienced at the house...

Carly: Let me guess. The lights are working and everything is just fine.

Bobbie: But that doesn't mean I don't believe you or that it didn't happen.

Carly: What if it didn't? What if it didn't? I went to see Kevin to put Sonny's mind at ease, but the truth is I'm starting to question myself, Mom. I am. I can explain the calls and the scarf as -- You know, as someone's idea of a cruel prank, but I can't explain the note and someone telling me to go to Morgan's grave.

Michael: So, yesterday morning, I asked you to convince Ava to compromise, right? So -- So you're telling me, that it's just a coincidence that she has a change of heart the exact same day?

Nelle: Well, I -- I may have said something.

Michael: I knew it.

Nelle: Look, things were getting so ugly between Ava and Sonny. And Avery was there just caught in the middle of it, and, you know, that got me -- that got me thinking about our baby and how important it is for parents to support one another, even if -- even if they aren't still together.

Ava: You'll be happy to know that Mike is a free man. I even spoke on his behalf at his hearing.

Griffin: You did?

Ava: Yeah. You were right, Griffin. The man has an illness, an illness that he's not even gonna recover from, and he didn't mean any harm, although significant harm could have been done.

Griffin: Well, but it -- but it wasn't.

Ava: Right. It wasn't. Because of that, because Avery is safe and sound, it was easy for me to see that Mike doesn't belong in prison.

Griffin: I'm proud of you.

Ava: Thanks. Although I did impress that because of Mike's illness, Sonny's might not be the most ideal place for Avery. And so, from now on, she's going to be with me.

Griffin: I have to say, I'm, uh, shocked. I never thought Sonny would sign over full custody willingly.

Ava: Well, I thought a lot about what you said about compassion and empathy.

Griffin: And?

Ava: It was a very effective speech.

Griffin: [Laughs]

Ava: It made me realize if I let Mike off the hook, then maybe Sonny would return the favor.

Griffin: And did he?

Ava: Yes, he did. We agreed to shared custody.

Stella: I'm sorry. Were Avery or Mike hurt during the ordeal?

Sonny: No, no, no. Nothing like that. It's just that my father took Avery and they wandered off without him thinking that maybe somebody was worried or waiting.

Stella: Mm.

Sonny: And he -- he thought that Avery was my sister Courtney. My sister's been dead for a long time.

Stella: First of all, I'm sorry you lost your sister.

Sonny: Thank you.

Stella: Can -- Can we sit?

Sonny: Yeah, yeah.

Stella: You know, as far as your father's concerned...

Sonny: Mm-hmm?

Stella: As the disease progresses, patients find ways to connect earlier memories with their present surroundings. That's why the party you threw in your father's honor last month was effective.

Sonny: Yeah. If I could reopen Luke's every night, I would if it would help my father, but I don't -- I don't think it's that simple.

Stella: You're right. It's not.

Sonny: And the -- the hard part is just trying to figure out what to do next.

Stella: You want me to be frank?

Sonny: Always.

Stella: There's only one outcome for a patient with Alzheimer's, and as your father's condition worsens, you're gonna be left with a choice. Hire professionals to care for him around the clock or send him away.

Finn: I assume you are referencing my half-sibling?

Alexis: Why, yes, I am.

Finn: I barely know Chase.

Alexis: And yet, he's your flesh and blood.

Finn: That makes him related. I'm not sure that makes him family. I think you of all people should understand that.

Alexis: Are you really comparing my half-brother to your half-brother? My half-brother's crazy. He's -- He's a kidnapper and a killer. He's diabolical. The most diabolical thing about your half-brother is that he wants to sit down and have a cup of coffee with you.

Finn: Listen, I, um -- I appreciate your concern, Alexis. I do. As far as Chase and I go, whatever happens will happen and whatever doesn't, won't.

Alexis: That's annoyingly zen of you.

Finn: I know. I can't believe I said it. Listen, if I can make up for that and for zoning out earlier in the meeting by taking you to breakfast this morning at the Metro Court.

Alexis: Okay. I can do that. I have some paperwork to do, but I'll meet you there. And it's over here. You have a consult. Don't be late.

Finn: Okay. I'll see you in an hour.

TJ: Yeah, whatever's going on between you and my mom, I'm gonna stay out of it.

Curtis: It's not like that, man. It's, uh --

TJ: No, really. I understand enough. I know how you two work. First things start up, then they shut down. It's great, then it's awkward. At the end of the day, I'm related to both of you. So from now on, Uncle Curtis, I'm Switzerland.

Curtis: Actually, me and your mom are in a real good place right now.

TJ: Okay. Then, uh, what's going on?

Curtis: I'm gonna ask her to marry me.

Ava: I get equal time with Avery, and a poor, sick man gets to go home. Everybody wins.

Griffin: Because you acted with compassion and generosity.

Ava: What can I say? What's right is right.

Lucy: Well, well, well, well, just the two people I wanted to see right at this very moment the most.

Ava: How I doubt that.

Griffin: Mnh-mnh.

Lucy: Your brother, Julian, just made an exceptionally generous donation this year to the Nurses' Ball.

Ava: Well, how nice for him that his offshore tax shelters offer him opportunities for such philanthropy.

Lucy: Well, he made it very clear that you wanted to do exactly the same thing.

Ava: Oh, did he?

Lucy: Mm-hmm.

Griffin: I need to get back to the hospital, so I will -- I'll see you later.

Lucy: Oh, well, okay. But please, Dr. Munro, tell me you're getting fit for your tux because I just know you're gonna wow everybody on our red carpet.

Griffin: For you, Lucy, anything.

Lucy: Thank you.

Griffin: I'll see you guys later.

Lucy: [Laughs]

Ava: Okay.

Lucy: Ava. So, tell me how many zeros I can expect from you.

Sonny: Send him away? Like, you mean, like, a nursing home?

Stella: To a facility that specializes in caring for people with your father's condition. Yes.

Sonny: Ab-- Absolutely not 'cause I'm not gonna abandon my father, just because things get tough.

Stella: Okay, well, right now?

Sonny: Yeah?

Stella: Mike is probably fine where he is. But, eventually and inevitably, he will not remember you, your wife, your family.

Sonny: I get the point.

Stella: Or himself. You're gonna look into your father's eyes one day and realize he not only no longer recognizes you, he no longer recognizes himself. And that's not gonna change.

Sonny: He can stay under my roof. I can -- I can hire people to do what needs to be done.

Stella: And, Mr. Corinthos, that's a very fortunate position for you to be in. But it's not just about money. Having an ailing family member living at home causes a great deal of stress on the family.

Sonny: We're tough. We can handle it.

Stella: But -- But please, understand. You all would need to be on call 24/7, just to drop everything and bring Mike to a hospital to treat emergencies. And there will be emergencies.

Sonny: Isn't it --

Stella: Now, now, look. A facility would have the necessary equipment on-site.

Sonny: Isn't it true, sometimes, after, you know, a month, even years, of not responding, somebody in my dad's condition could -- can have a good day?

Stella: Sometimes. But not everybody is so lucky. And, you know, those good days are really just a few good hours or even a few good minutes. Then they're gone like they never happened.

Sonny: But it does happen. When he was a boy, my son Michael, I had to send him to a long-term care facility. And when he woke up, I wasn't there. And I'll regret that for the rest of my life. So, if I can have a day, an hour, five minutes, if I can have my dad back, I want him to know that, uh...

Stella: Okay.

Sonny: I'm there for him.

Stella: Okay. How about this? I'll put together a list of -- of the nurses here on staff who are looking for additional home-care work. Okay?

Sonny: Yeah, I appreciate that.

Stella: I'm keeping your family in my prayers.

Carly: I held the scarf in my hands. I know it was there. The fire alarm went off, I left the scarf in my office. When I came back, it was gone. Whoever pulled the fire alarm put the scarf in my office and then took it back out.

Bobbie: That's one explanation.

Carly: Okay. Then Dante, Jason, and I -- We traced the calls to a pay phone near where Morgan died. So they really happened. I know they did. But the note -- I read it. I read it so many times just to make sure. And by the time I showed it to the detective at the cemetery, it was a blank page.

Nelle: Sorry, I did not mean for it to come out like that.

Michael: No, no, wait. It's fine. It's okay. I know what you meant. Like I keep saying, just because we're not together, doesn't mean we can't get along, right?

Nelle: Right. I mean, at our worst, we're nothing like Ava and Sonny.

Michael: No. [Scoffs] No. What you did to my family, how-- however wrong, pales in comparison to what Ava did. She undermined my brother's sanity. She put into motion the events that led to his death, and what makes it all worse are the cover-ups and the lies.

Nelle: Michael?

Michael: Hm?

Nelle: There's something that I need to tell you.

Lucy: Thank you so very much for being so willing to donate. I mean, because with your help, we are going to be able to fund the venue.

Ava: Carly's not donating it?

Lucy: Yes, of course she's donating it, but we need a lot more than that. We need music rights, props, costumes, curtains, more costumes --

Ava: Lucy, Lucy. I have to tell you. I'm really -- I'm -- I'm more than happy to contribute. I really am. The Nurses' Ball is a wonderful evening for the community. It does so much good. But, from the bottom of my heart, really, truly I hope that once I write this check, you will be on your merry way.

Lucy: As soon as I get the check, I will be nothing but merry. Oh my. Look at those rhinos. They're so interesting.

Ava: Okay. Take a look around.

Lucy: Thank you.

Ava: Never a pen around when you need one. [Sighs]

Dante: I'm not exactly an expert on marriage, as you saw first-hand when mine imploded, but...

Jordan: But, you know, I noticed that you and Lulu, you -- you managed to work things out, you know. And you guys went through a pretty rough patch.

Dante: Yeah, that's an understatement.

Jordan: Now look at you. You -- You came out of it. You're stronger than ever.

Dante: Eventually, we got to be.

Jordan: And that is because you guys -- you guys have a strong foundation, right?

Dante: Why don't you just tell me where all this is coming from?

TJ: Wait, so, are you gonna propose or did you propose already?

Curtis: Eh, kind of both. When we thought that she might be sick, I asked her to marry me.

TJ: Because you thought she was dying?

Curtis: Because I love her. And I don't want to waste any more time, man.

TJ: No, that's -- that's -- that's a good save.

Curtis: [Chuckles] Then we found out she was gonna be okay.

TJ: And she turned you down?

Curtis: Well, she -- she calls it, uh, what -- Letting me off the hook? Truth be told, man, I don't want to be off the hook. Your mother is it for me, man, and I don't want to lose this opportunity to prove my commitment to her.

TJ: Okay then.

Curtis: And you know your mom like I do. She don't need permission from nobody. She's her own woman, but I know it would mean a great deal to her. And, frankly, to me, too, if we got your blessing on this.

TJ: What, are you kidding me, man? I just want the both of you to be happy. So, of course, you have my blessing, all right?

Curtis: My man.

Stella: Blessings for what?

Griffin: Sonny, hey, my, uh, assistant said you were trying to make an appointment with me. Something I could help you with?

Sonny: Yeah, I need you to release my father's records, uh, to Dr. Delano at Mercy. He's a colleague of Patrick Drake. 'Cause I -- He's gonna be running the show from now on.

Griffin: Okay. Uh, may -- may I ask what brought about the change?

Sonny: Yeah, it -- You know what? It's just best for everybody, and you're on team Ava.

Griffin: Well, Sonny, when it comes to your father's care, I'm on his team, okay?

Sonny: No, no. You're kind of in the middle.

Griffin: Wait, I don't understand. Sonny, hey. I -- I thought -- you and Ava started seeing eye to eye last night? I mean -- I mean, you agreed to compromise regarding Avery's custody.

Sonny: Is that what she told you? Compromise?

Ava: All right, Lucy, here you go. And you didn't even have to blackmail me to get it. Maybe it's true what they say. You catch more flies with honey.

Lucy: Well, then, that would make you a fly, Miss Jerome.

Ava: To think, you could have been my stepmother.

Lucy: Okay. You know what? Despite what we feel about each other, I thank you. And I -- I'm being sincere. I really do appreciate this donation. I do.

Ava: You're welcome. And I mean that sincerely.

Lucy: Wow. Look at you. It does seem like you're kind of turning over a new leaf. This hunky doctor must be working some kind of number on you.

Ava: Yeah, well, he's definitely, uh, working wonders.

Lucy: Oh, you know what? Got to think back to last year, don't you, kinda? I mean, because you were spiraling. Remember all the lies you had to keep telling to make sure no one found out that you switched Morgan's pills and then you literally caught yourself on fire? How did you -- I mean, you didn't do it on purpose, but you were on fire, you were burning.

Ava: You know, Lucy, I do remember it. I remember it all, thank you very much.

Lucy: I'm just saying, from one ex-schemer to another, isn't this a little bit better? I mean, isn't kind of, sort of honestly living that way just better, because you don't have to wait around for some of your lies to come back and bite you in the behind?

Ava: You know what, Lucy? It's always a pleasure.

Lucy: I thought we were gonna try and be honest with each other.

Ava: Okay, you want honest? Honestly, you better get out of here before I cancel that check.

Lucy: Okay, there she is. Dr. Munro hasn't really had that much influence on you, after all. Ta!

[Door closes]

Griffin: Look, I -- I was under the impression after -- after considering Avery's best interest, you and Ava agreed to a compromise?

Sonny: You want to know what happened, Doc? Ava threatened to press kidnapping charges against my father unless I gave her full custody. I refused, and I told her she's gonna have to -- she's gonna have to come at me in family court and sue me. And she's gonna lose. So then, she made a counter-offer -- Joint custody. She don't want -- want my father to have, you know, public humiliation in court and the whole thing. It's a bunch of -- It wasn't a compromise. It was extortion. Plain and simple.

Griffin: I appreciate you telling me your side of the story.

Sonny: You know what? Let's forget about sending the -- the records to Mercy. You're the best at what you do. And I can see in your eyes that you're starting to see Ava... for who she is.

Alexis: Well, Detective Chase. Good morning.

Chase: Miss Davis, are you visiting a client?

Alexis: No, just doing some paperwork. How about you?

Chase: I'm off duty.

Alexis: Ah.

Chase: How about I walk you out?

Alexis: Thank you. It would be nice.

Chase: So, I take it you're keeping my brother out of trouble?

Alexis: So far, so good.

Chase: Yeah, well, good for him.

Alexis: Yeah. How about you? You getting acclimated here?

Chase: Still finding my way around, sticking to what I know. I eat most of my meals at Kelly's or Charlie's Pub. Actually, I'm headed to Kelly's. Care to join me?

Alexis: Aw, well, that's ni-- Hey. Yes. But how about we get you out of this rut and try something else?

Chase: I don't know. I think at this point, the good people at Kelly's would miss me.

Alexis: Nah. Live a little. Let's go to the Metro Court. You're gonna like it there. They have caviar omelettes and small-batch maple syrup you can put on your pancakes.

Chase: Seems a bit rich for my blood.

Alexis: Oh, no, no, no. It's my treat.

Dante: Well, I mean, obviously, I'm happy the, uh, doctor gave you the all-clear.

Jordan: Me, too.

Dante: But that doesn't make Curtis', uh, proposal null and void, right?

Jordan: No, I know. I know. I... Listen, if -- if I ever get married to Curtis, I -- I don't want the proposal to go down like that.

Dante: It's a pretty big "if" I heard in there.

Jordan: Yeah, well. I don't know. I don't know if I'm -- if I'm... ready for marriage again. You know, I was so young when it happened the first time.

Dante: He died, right? That wasn't your fault.

Jordan: Kind of depends on who you ask. I -- I wasn't mature enough to handle that kind of commitment before, you know? And I ended up hurting Thomas and then making his whole family suffer for it.

Curtis: Hey, Aunt Stella.

Stella: Hi, baby.

Curtis: What a surprise. Are you here for breakfast? Have a seat.

Stella: You know I always eat first thing in the morning before going to work, but I decided to come have some decent coffee, and I'm glad I did, because apparently I walked in on some good news.

Curtis: I -- I guess it's, uh, best that you probably hear it from me, anyway. Um... I'm gonna ask Jordan to marry me.

Stella: I see.

Curtis: [Sighs] I know you and Jordan haven't been the biggest fans of each other.

Stella: That's an understatement.

Curtis: But I've seen you two learn to be civil to each other. I even watched you two work together when things got rough, you know? And plus I love you both so very much. So can you find it in your heart to support me on my decision?

Stella: [Sighs] I'm sorry, Curtis. But I don't think I can.

Finn: Oh! Good, you're here. I was just about to worry about... you.

Chase: What's going on here?

Finn: I was just about to ask the same thing.

Alexis: Clearly I meddled.

Chase: You know what? I should... go.

Finn: Yeah, you know, if you got some place to be, you should...

Alexis: You know what I'm thinking? I'm thinking as long as you both are here, it might be a good time for you to unpack whatever baggage there is between you.

Curtis: Auntie, I already know you don't care much for Jordan.

Stella: Believe it or not, Curtis, this has nothing to do with my... personal distaste for Jordan. First and foremost, she is your brother's wife!

TJ: Listen, Aunt Stella. I know it's awkward, but I think my father would be grateful that my mother and Uncle Curtis found happiness with each other.

Stella: [Sighs] TJ, baby, I'll always be grateful to Jordan for bringing you into this world. But she cheated on your father. It's her fault that we lost him!

Curtis: It's a little more complicated than that, Auntie.

Stella: Not to me.

Curtis: I'm not sitting up here asking you to forgive her.

Stella: Don't you understand? I've forgiven her! I believe in forgiveness! But you're asking me to welcome this woman back into my family, the family she destroyed! I'm sorry, but I'm not a big enough person to do that.

Curtis: Okay. I'm really sorry you feel that way.

Stella: Yeah, me too. But you're an adult, and I'm sure this won't stop you. Just don't ask me to be a part of it.

Jordan: I don't have it in me to screw up another marriage, to hurt TJ, obviously Curtis, and Stella, even, one more time. I don't have it.

Dante: I'm not gonna lie to you. Marriage is, uh -- It is tough work. But if it's right for you, for both of you, and you're willing to put in the work, then, uh, it's worth it.

Jordan: Thanks.

Nelle: I know you said you want Jason to be our baby's primary guardian.

Michael: Yeah? That's -- That's right. It's very important to me that Jason is a part of our baby's life.

Nelle: And I would never try and get in the way of that. But I have been thinking about... who would take care of our baby if something were to happen to the both of us.

Michael: Yeah, I -- I don't want to think about that, but I know that -- that Jason is more than capable of stepping up.

Nelle: Oh, I am sure. But he lives a very dangerous life, Michael. I mean, he was shot and disappeared for five years. Who's to say something like that's not gonna happen again?

Michael: I know, I know. Look, Jason -- Jason is pretty good at taking care of himself. He is. And I -- I know he'll do an excellent job taking care of our baby.

Nelle: Even so... [Sighs] I can't help feel that you chose Jason as some sort of a compromise because of the tension between me and your parents, especially your mom. But, you know, I -- I have seen Carly with you and Josslyn and Avery, and despite our differences, she is a wonderful mother. I mean, look how well you turned out.

Michael: Yeah, I'm -- I'm pretty wonderful.

Nelle: I think we would be lucky if our baby ended up half as strong and as kind as you.

Michael: All right, now you're flattering me.

Nelle: No, I'm just telling you like I see it. So if it's okay with you, I would like to name Carly as our baby's primary guardian, just in case something were to happen to us.

Bobbie: Even if none of these things were happening, how much stress have you been under lately?

Carly: [Scoffs]

Bobbie: Exactly. When was the last time you got a full eight-hours' sleep?

Carly: Uh, before Michael was born. [Chuckles]

Bobbie: Mm-hmm. How about six hours or even five? No wonder your mind is playing tricks on you. You are not crazy, honey. You're exhausted.

Carly: Okay, even if I agreed this was all in my head, Sonny still blames me for Mike wandering off with Avery because I was chasing ghosts. And he's right. I should have been there.

Bobbie: Well, you know, Sonny could have been there, too. The business could wait for an afternoon.

Carly: The point is, Mom, I was supposed to be there and I wasn't. And whether he's right or not, it still hurts because, all of a sudden, it feels like Sonny's love has conditions, you know?

Bobbie: Sonny may have his shortcomings, but his love for you is not one of them. You haven't reached his limit, nowhere near.

Carly: Yeah.

Bobbie: So take these pills as directed.

Carly: I will. I read the paper that came in the bag.

Bobbie: And as for Sonny, I'm sure once he calms down, he's going to apologize for putting all of the blame on you.

Carly: I hope you're right.

Bobbie: I am. [Laughs] Oh, well, if you don't believe me and you're not sure, ask him for yourself.

Finn: This is not a good idea.

Alexis: Well, it's not like I planned it.

Finn: What, you brought him here by accident?

Alexis: I ran into Detective Chase at the police station.

Finn: And you thought, "I'll buy him breakfast" where you knew I'd be. That sounds a lot like a plan.

Chase: Okay, I am just as blindsided by this as you are, but she's not wrong. You and I need to talk this out once and for all.

Finn: I don't know how that's gonna work. I really got nothing to say to you.

Chase: Man, what did I ever do to you? Hey, what the hell is your problem with me?

Finn: My problem is not with you!

TJ: You're not gonna let this stop you, right?

Curtis: Hell n--

[Cellphone rings]

Curtis: Oh. It's your mom. Hey, babe, we were just talking about you.

Jordan: Hmm, all good things, I hope.

Curtis: Uh, well, we kind of have this thing that, uh, we only talk trash about you to your face. [Chuckles] No. Really, I'm just playing. What's good, babe?

Jordan: Well, Lucy Coe is swinging by the PCPD today to sell us tickets to the Nurses' Ball. And, as I recall, um, that was a very special night for the two of us last year.

Curtis: Hmm, yes, it was.

Jordan: So should I put us down for two?

Curtis: That's a great idea.

Michael: I really appreciate you trying to mend fences with my mother, I do. But you really don't have to do this.

Nelle: Look, I -- I -- I do get why Carly hates me. I betrayed her trust. I did terrible things to your family. And I know that I'm never going to have a nice, cozy relationship with my baby's grandmother and that's fine. I -- I -- I just want what's best for the baby. So if something were to happen to us, I think Carly should be the primary guardian.

Michael: Wow. I, uh -- I don't -- I -- I don't know what to say.

Nelle: Well, "yes" will do.

Michael: Okay. Yes. Yes, thank you. Thank you so much.

Nelle: I'm just trying to do the right thing.

Carly: Hey. Uh, what are you doing here?

Sonny: I'm supposed to meet Lucy here to give her a donation for the Nurses' Ball. Am I -- Am I interrupting?

Bobbie: No, actually, you're not. I have to get to work, so you can tag in for me. Good luck.

Carly: Yeah. You want to join me?

Sonny: I'd -- I'd love to, but I -- I got to get home 'cause, uh, I got to coordinate with Ava, what time to pick up...

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: Avery, yeah.

Carly: Well, good luck with that.

Sonny: Yeah, I -- but -- but I'll see you at home?

Carly: Yeah. Sonny?

Sonny: Yeah?

Carly: How long are you gonna blame me for what happened to Avery?

Ava: Oh, hey. Griffin, I'm so glad you came by. There's something I need --

Griffin: You lied to me.

Ava: I beg your pardon?

Griffin: Why didn't you tell me the truth about the deal you made with Sonny?

On the next "General Hospital" --

Finn (to Chase): This is none of your business.

David (to Kiki): Im gonna request that you do another tour with me.

Ava (to Griffin): I dropped the charges against Mike!

Griffin (to Ava): Hes innocent!

Anna (to Robert): I have to stay one step ahead of Jason.

Sam (to Jason): Drew and I are getting a divorce.

Sonny (to Jason): The bigger problem is Carly.

Carly (to Lucy): I feel like Im losing my mind.
