Episode #14026 ~ Anna is all worked up; Jason looks for an ally in Lulu; Curtis stumbles upon an interesting piece of information; Nina is not convinced; Peter is unphased.
Provided By Suzanne
Ava: Good. Brought your lawyer.
Sonny: Baldwin better not make us wait.
Ava: Oh, no, no. Scotty's not coming. I gave him the night off. I realized this is one I can handle all on my own.
Lulu: Thank you so much for coming.
Jason: No problem. Can I ask what happened?
Lulu: A parenting injury. I now know to not chase Rocco while wearing heels. [Sighs]
Jason: So, why'd you need to see me?
Lulu: I need your advice on Henrik Faison.
Drew: You're back, huh?
Sam: Yeah. I-I just got back a little bit ago.
Drew: I'm glad you're safe.
Sam: Thank you.
Drew: I was, um, stopping by to see Peter. Is he in his office?
Curtis: Hmm. Jackpot.
Valentin: I wasn't expecting you.
Nina: Yeah, well, you know, Drew was a no-show. Peter called off the meeting.
Valentin: This bothers you because...?
Nina: Because, you know, how are we gonna find dirt on Peter if Curtis has no time to dig?
Valentin: Where is he digging?
Nina: Peter's office. What are you looking at?
Anna: I'm thinking.
Anna: Oh, you can guess, Robert.
Robert: Uh, I assume that's Valentin's file.
Anna: Correct. Yeah. All right, so, his known haunts -- Uh, Zurich, Amsterdam, Berlin, Prague. Bern. During the years that, uh... [Scoffs] Well, they kind of -- they overlap perfectly with the time that Henrik was there, schooling.
Robert: I told you. Valentin delivered your son to Faison personally, and there is your proof.
Anna: No, that doesn't prove anything.
Sam: Peter isn't -- Uh, he's -- he's not here. I saw on the schedule that he had a meeting. You can check the conference room if you're looking for him.
Drew: No, it's okay. It can wait.
Sam: Could I buy you a cup of coffee? There's just a lot I need to tell you.
Lulu: I spoke to Spinelli, and he told me about Switzerland. I mean, just that you went. Nothing else. I did try to get more information out of him, but he wouldn't budge. He said that it was up to you if you wanted to share anything with me. So, if you feel like sharing... Oh, come on, Jason. Did you find anything on Henrik?
Jason: [Sighs] Not much. The letters I've been looking for -- They're gone.
Lulu: Wait, the letters that Faison left for you and Drew in his will? Well, gone where? Weren't they locked up in some safe deposit box?
Lulu: You got access? Now, see, that would be an interesting story.
Jason: After Faison died, Henrik paid somebody at the bank to remove the letters and then drop them off at a site.
Lulu: So, for all we know, they've been destroyed.
Jason: Could be. But the good news is, Henrik's out there still, circling around.
Lulu: He may be closer than you think.
Jason: What makes you say that?
Lulu: I've been in contact with him.
Nina: That is a box.
Valentin: Yep, found among Faison's possessions.
Nina: Why do you have a picture of it?
Valentin: Because Robert Scorpio gave it to me.
Nina: Anna's ex-husband?
Valentin: Yep. He thought maybe I might know something about it, since it has the Cassadine crest emblazoned on it.
Nina: Well, what, your -- your evil stepmother, didn't she work with Faison?
Valentin: Trust me, nobody's worked harder for the title of "evil stepmother" than Helena Cassadine. And, yes, she and Faison were very close associates.
Nina: So, why -- why would Robert think that the box was for you? You never even met Faison.
Anna: No, this evidence -- this is just -- It's paper-thin.
Robert: No, it's not. Valentin positioned himself in Brussels, where you had the child.
Anna: Yes, just long enough to witness the hand-off. Oh, God, he hated me. Always hated me. "Deep in the depths of his soul" hated me. Man, played right into his hands, didn't I? Compromising myself with a high-ranking DVX officer and getting pregnant and giving the child over. [Sighs] All he had to do was bide his time, wait for a chance to use the child against me. It's perfect, actually. Strategically brilliant. Valentin's nothing if not a master strategist.
Carly: Where's Mike?
Dante: He's down in holding. I'm gonna go get him soon.
Carly: Okay, is he getting out?
Diane: Unknown. He has to go to court to see about bail.
Ava: I imagine that if all parties speak in his favor, the judge will go easy on him.
Carly: If all parties don't speak in his favor, what then?
Ava: Well, that'd be a bit trickier, wouldn't it?
Sonny: Diane, can we talk? Can we...?
Ava: Hmm? What? Oh. [Chuckles] It's just -- It's just a very good day, that's all. Well, for me. I suppose not so much for you.
Ava: It's thanks to your negligence that I'm about to get my daughter back. And now Avery will be raised in a safe and loving home, like she should have been all along.
Carly: [Scoffs] You're amazing. You know that? You are, when you stand here and you claim that you're doing this all for Avery's sake with no regard for the fact that she doesn't even know you.
Ava: And whose fault is that?
Carly: Yours! And now you're gonna take her away from our home -- A home that she knows, and where she's happy, by the way and drag her back and forth like she's some kind of trophy? Please tell me again how you're a great mother.
Sonny: What are we looking at?
Diane: Your father...
Diane: … Is an aging, sick man who had no idea what he was doing when he walked away with Avery. He certainly had no intention of hurting her.
Diane: But given his criminal record and your alleged connection to organized crime, I'd be lying if I said there wasn't a chance he could go to prison.
Sonny: Okay, so, is this one of those important things where you say it's impossible, and at the end, you pull it off? I need -- I need to know the risk.
Diane: Well, it's -- The odds are certainly in Mike's favor, but that's not a slam dunk. Especially since Judge Lasser likes to think he's tough on crime.
Sonny: What does that mean?
Diane: You want numbers?
Sonny: Yeah. I want numbers.
Diane: 30%. That's my best guess.
Sonny: You're -- So, you're telling me that there's a 30% chance that my father is gonna be convicted?
Diane: And there's a 70% chance that he won't be.
Sonny: I'm not comfortable with those odds.
Diane: Those are the only odds we've got, Sonny.
Carly: You're living in a fantasy world if you think you're gonna get custody of Avery.
Ava: We'll see.
Carly: Do you think that even if, and that's a really big "if," you get her from Sonny that she's gonna forget about him or us? No. And nothing you say to that little girl is gonna prevent the day that she finds out that you're responsible for her brother's death.
Ava: Oh, God, here we go.
Carly: Yeah, here we go. Because some messes are too big to clean up. Some crimes you commit don't go away. And while you managed to avoid jail time for murdering Connie and destroying Morgan, there are other kinds of justice, Ava. One day, that little girl is gonna look you dead in the eye, and she's gonna see you for who you really are.
Ava: Her mother -- Who loves her.
Carly: We'll see.
Sonny: Can I have -- Can I talk to you a second?
Ava: It'd be my pleasure.
Nelle: I hope they can reach some sort of compromise.
Carly: Who are you fooling? You love to see my family suffer.
Dante: Okay, I'm gonna go check on my grandfather.
Diane: Oh, no, you're not. You're not gonna leave me alone here with these two.
Ava: Let's just get to the point, shall we? I get full custody or your father goes to prison.
Jason: You really think this -- this is actually Henrik?
Lulu: It's the same e-mail address that PK Sinclair was using.
Jason: Yeah, just because it's the same e-mail address doesn't mean it's the same person. Anybody could have access to that e-mail.
Lulu: It's true, and -- and someone could have hacked it.
Jason: That's right. So, what'd he say?
Lulu: He says that he would like to have the chance to tell his side of the story.
Jason: Isn't that what he's doing with the book?
Lulu: This would be face-to-face.
Jason: Face-to-face? Faison was killed when he was drawn out into the open. I don't think Henrik's gonna take the same chance.
Lulu: No, but I've got this feeling. I can't describe it.
Jason: You really believe it's him?
Lulu: I do.
Jason: [Sighs] Have you brought it to Dante?
Lulu: Uh, no.
Lulu: Not yet. I-I-I -- Not until I have more to give him.
Jason: Not -- So you think you're gonna get that by -- by meeting with this person?
Lulu: Yeah, that's the idea.
Jason: That's a bad idea.
Nina: What's his deal?
Valentin: "What's his deal?"
Nina: Yeah, I mean, what's Robert Scorpio like?
Valentin: I don't know, a typical WSB agent. Ill-mannered, overly confident. But I answered his questions, and he went on his way. Our business here is complete.
Nina: Yeah, where have I heard that before?
Valentin: What, you don't believe me?
Nina: No. I believe you. I think it's complete on your end, definitely. But that has never stopped Anna. And if Robert is anything like Anna, I wonder if he'll follow suit.
Valentin: Well, even if he is, it's not gonna matter. 'Cause he's not gonna find what he's looking for here.
Ava: Take the current arrangement and flip it. Avery will move in with me full-time. I will see her off in the morning. I will pick her up from school. I will hear how her day went. I will serve her dinner before I put my daughter to bed.
Sonny: You think you're doing right by Avery, keeping her from her father?
Ava: Well, you can see her on the weekends, provided we make arrangements ahead of time. Please, no drop-ins.
Sonny: Do you remember how you lost custody in the first place?
Ava: You mean when you blackmailed me with that tape that Carly stole of Paul and me?
Sonny: Which we still have in possession.
Ava: Well, nobody cares about that, Sonny. [Scoffs] Paul's in prison. All the court will see is that the DA coerced a suspect into sex.
Sonny: If you believe that, why -- why haven't you sued me for custody until now? 'Cause you felt the judge was gonna think you were unfit?
Ava: More or less unfit than you are for letting your deteriorating father disappear with Avery for over 24 hours.
Sonny: You know what?! Forget it! No!
Ava: "No," what?
Sonny: I'm not negotiating with you! That's it. I'm just not doing it.
Nelle: I thought you might like some tea.
Carly: Are you serious? What I'd like is your smarmy head on a silver platter.
Diane: Carly, now is neither the time nor the place.
Carly: Then keep her out of my face.
Dante: Okay, now I really am gonna go check on my grandfather.
Nelle: Diane, hey, since we're both here, I was wondering if I could get some legal advice.
Diane: [Chuckles] Pertaining to...?
Nelle: The baby. Specifically custody.
Carly: I told you this was gonna happen. She's laying the groundwork to keep that baby from me.
Nelle: H-H-Hold on. You've been talking to Diane about my child's custody?
Diane: She was merely asking to be advised of her rights as a grandparent.
Nelle: I don't know whether to be scared or encouraged. You see, Diane, I wanted to talk to you about giving Carly custody of my baby.
Ava: Don't pretend you're not scared.
Sonny: Are you kidding me? I'm terrified. I hate seeing my father like this. And -- And -- And the fact that he's -- he could go to prison and rot in there --
Ava: That is a situation that can easily be avoided.
Sonny: Right, but I don't like to operate by fear. Now, I-I have the best lawyer in the state, medical evidence provided by your boyfriend that says Mike is sick and what happened with him and Avery was not in his control.
Ava: It was, however, in yours.
Sonny: It's an accident! Things happen. Life happens. There was no malicious intent on Mike's part to hurt Avery. Which is why I know that the chances of my father going to prison are very slim.
Ava: Are you willing to take that gamble?
Sonny: Well, my -- my family has a lot of experience testifying in court. Carly, Josslyn, Dante, Michael, even Griffin will get on the stand and sing my dad's praises, and they'll say that they love him and he wouldn't hurt a fly. He's just a sick person who got up one afternoon and was confused. But if you want to still fight me in court and let the judge decide my father's fate... Let the cards fall where they may, Ava.
Ava: And if I end up with Avery that'll be just fine with you?
Sonny: Even if you succeed in sending my helpless, ailing father to prison, you're still gonna have to sue me with everything you've got in family court, and I'm still gonna have Carly, Josslyn, whoever I need. Oh! I almost forgot. Your daughter Kiki. She testified for me once before. She'll do it again. You know why? Because she knows that you're unfit. You're an unfit mother.
Ava: Well, there is one alternate solution.
Sonny: Yeah? What is that?
Ava: I drop the kidnapping charges against Mike if you agree to joint custody.
Curtis: Your -- Your guy let me in.
Nina: Uh, how'd it go?
Curtis: Uh, we cool here?
Nina: Yeah, we don't have any secrets. Yeah.
Nina: Um, did you get my text?
Curtis: Hell, yeah, I got your text, and I got my ass out of there before he came back.
Nina: Okay. Did you find anything?
Curtis: About Mr. Peter August? Not a damn thing.
Jason: Lulu, this guy is dangerous. Even if you weren't on crutches, it's just too big of a risk.
Lulu: Faison was the psycho. You've read the book. Henrik was forced. He hated his father. He didn't want to have anything to do with him.
Jason: I lost five years of my life. I woke up in that clinic. I was being drugged, restrained, and treated like an animal. There was nothing wrong with me. I wasn't receiving medical treatment. I was being held prisoner. And it wasn't by Faison. It was Henrik's orders. And the two guys who followed me to Port Charles, shot up the Metro Court, drugged and kidnapped Sam -- Henrik's guys, Henrik's orders. I'm pretty good at what I do. I could barely stay alive long enough to even get home.
Lulu: I'm glad you did.
Jason: Thank you. Let's -- Let's just say... That you're gonna meet this person and he brings a couple guys and there you are, on your crutches, what -- what are you -- what are you gonna do?
Lulu: I don't know.
Jason: Okay, why are you thinking on any level that this guy is harmless? All the evidence says he's not.
Sam: I'm not sure how much my mom told you after she brought the kids back from Switzerland, but... Jason and Spinelli were there looking for Henrik. And Spinelli got arrested. So I asked my mom to bring the kids home, and I stayed to help get him released. And then I did. And I also helped infiltrate the bank where Faison's safe-deposit box is.
Drew: Did you find it?
Sam: Yeah. But the letters from Faison to you and Jason were gone.
Drew: Henrik, right?
Sam: Henrik, yes. He paid the bank manager to take the letters out of the safe-deposit box and leave them in a drop. Look, I'm -- I'm sorry.
Drew: I'm sorry, too. [Chuckles]
Sam: There is something I would like to talk to you about, though. Aurora. And what happens next.
Ava: Equal custody. Four days on, three days off, switch. We'll make a schedule for holidays and vacations. And all decisions regarding Avery's future will be made jointly.
Sonny: So if I agree to this, are you gonna drop everything with my father?
Ava: Well, yeah. I mean, I'll need it in writing, of course, but sure. I will even speak on his behalf in front of the judge. Sonny, you'd have the best of both worlds. You'd have your daughter and your father.
Sonny: Half my daughter.
Ava: Half is better than none. Plus Mike stays safe. So...
Ava: … Have we got a deal?
Carly: I was under the impression that Michael asked Jason to be a legal guardian.
Nelle: He did, um, but I'm -- I'm having second thoughts. Jason's life's so up in the air right now, you know? Plus, he's single. I want my baby to have two parents.
Carly: Even if they're me and Sonny.
Nelle: Carly, you may hate me... But there's no way that you won't love Michael's baby the same way that you love Avery. Okay, so if you're gonna love and fight for our baby the same way that you love and fight for Avery, I'm confident he or she will be in good hands. So will you just -- just think about it? O-Okay?
Carly: Yeah, okay.
Nelle: If you'll excuse me, I have to use the restroom for about the millionth time today.
Carly: [Scoffs] [Sighs]
Diane: If I were you, I'd batten down the hatches.
Carly: Yeah. I'm way ahead of you.
Dante: All right, come here. You can take a breather over here before we head out, okay?
Mike: Where's Sonny?
Dante: He's, uh -- He's in there talking to Ava.
Mike: He hates that woman. Why -- Why would he...?
Dante: They just got some stuff they got to sort out.
Mike: No, no, no, no, no, no, no. You -- You -- You got to get him in there and stop him, whatever he's doing. He can't make any sacrifices for me.
Sonny: You feel real good about yourself, taking advantage of my father's illness, like you did Morgan?
Ava: I am simply doing what's best for Avery.
Sonny: Right. See, Griffin may not see through your reconstructed face. [Chuckles] But I see right through you, and I'm not gonna forget this.
Ava: Oh, Sonny. If your father is any indication, you very well might.
Sam: I understand we're in -- in a pretty strange place personally. But professionally, we still have this company. And I think there's a lot to do with Aurora. I mean, it -- it -- it's just the beginning. And I'd really like to stay on if... I mean, do you see a problem with that?
Lulu: What if you are mistaken about Henrik? He wasn't at that Russian clinic, right?
Jason: Not that I would have known. I don't think so.
Lulu: And the -- the person that was holding you captive -- That was Dr. --
Jason: Dr. Klein.
Lulu: Right, right. Dr. Klein. What if he did all of those things to you without Henrik ordering him to? Or maybe it was Henrik. But maybe he made those choices because he was scared. His father was still alive. He knew what Faison would do to him. But now Faison is dead, and that could really have changed things for Henrik.
Jason: I-I don't know. I don't know.
Lulu: I don't -- I don't, either. The only thing I do know is that Henrik wants a chance to tell his side of the story. He will have his guard up with you. He won't with me.
Jason: Exactly. He's not gonna have his guard up with you, and that's gonna make you more vulnerable.
Lulu: I'll be careful.
Jason: This guy is in a league of his own, Lulu. Look, I'm just afraid that if -- if you want to play his game, whatever that game is, that you're the one who's gonna get hurt.
Curtis: Dude is careful.
Curtis: He's too careful to keep something he don't want found where people come and go all day.
Nina: Yeah, yeah, I guess it was a long shot thinking we were gonna find some deep, dark secret just hanging around Peter's office.
Valentin: Um, I'm sorry. I have a meeting in town.
Valentin: I'll be back just as soon as I can.
Nina: Well, thanks for trying. Sorry it was for nothing.
Curtis: Well, I wouldn't say nothing.
Nina: You wouldn't?
Curtis: I may not have found Peter's deep, dark secret, but I did find something a little off.
Anna: Valentin must have acquired the child somehow and delivered him right to Faison. And bringing about the exact scenario that I-I was so desperate to avoid.
Robert: He's a monster all right.
Anna: No, he's not. Not anymore, I guess. I mean, that was all just before -- before he had his surgery, before he felt that he was normal and worthwhile. Before he had a kid of his own and knew what it was to love. He was just young, angry, and he felt rejected. I was young, angry, and ambitious, and Faison hadn't even turned the corner yet.
Robert: What corner?
Anna: I mean, no, he was... egotistical and duplicitous. He was a rising star in the DVX, for crying out loud. But he hadn't turned into this depraved sociopath. What I'm trying to say is, we were just all young and different.
Robert: It sounds like you're about to give Valentin a pass on this.
Nina: Why would Peter have a file on my brother?
Curtis: I can't call it, Nina, but that file was thick.
Nina: Was it his service record?
Curtis: That was in there, too, along with, uh, things that go way back, like school records, class photos
Nina: Show me. Show me.
Curtis: I didn't swipe it, Nina. What if the man went looking for it and it was gone?
Nina: My God, this is so weird. This is so weird. What would he want with all that stuff? I don't even have it.
Curtis: Wait, wasn't Peter August there when your brother got shot? Maybe, just maybe, he's suffering from some kind of survivor's guilt.
Nina: Or maybe it has absolutely nothing to do with J and everything to do with Maxie. Maybe he needs all that stuff to figure out how to get close to Maxie, the sad, grieving widow.
Curtis: Whoa, whoa, ain't no proof of that.
Nina: No, I know I'm right. Peter has an agenda. We got to turn up the heat.
Peter: What's your problem? I thought you said you were handling your wife.
Valentin: I am.
Peter: Yeah, well, her PI was just rooting through my office.
Valentin: Yeah, I heard about that. I also heard he came up empty-handed.
Peter: Because there's nothing to find, at least nothing that can't be explained. But if he keeps digging --
Valentin: Yeah, we got bigger problems. I was visited by Robert Scorpio. He asked me about this.
Peter: What does this have to do with either one of us?
Valentin: It's got the Cassadine crest on it. It was found in your father's safe-deposit box. What the hell? You didn't think to empty the contents?
Peter: I didn't know there was anything else in there. The will only spoke of the letters. I paid the bank manager to discreetly remove them from the safety deposit box and take them to an undisclosed drop, where I promptly had them destroyed. So we're in the clear. Nothing to connect my father to you or you to me.
Valentin: Except there is. Scorpio knows you went to school in Bern, Switzerland, the same time I was based there.
Anna: From Valentin's perspective, he had every right to hate me and -- and want revenge. And I-I kind of understand that. But what I don't understand is that he would use an innocent child to do that. You know, I mean, take Henrik out of a loving home and put him with that man, who -- who may not have been the devil at that point but was still cold and unfeeling. And that leaves a mark. That leaves deep scars.
Robert: No question.
Anna: So, why would he do that to my child?! Why would he give my child that kind of life?! He had no right to do that.
Robert: Okay. What do you want to do about it?
Anna: What do you mean? We can't do anything about it.
Robert: Yeah, let's go to Wyndemere.
Anna: No, no, we can't confront him.
Robert: Why not?
Anna: Because... He's been planning this for decades. He's not gonna allow it to unravel that easily. He's not.
Robert: Look, for all you know, he could be about to sic Henrik on you.
Anna: No, no, no, no. There's too many unanswered questions, and we just have to -- we have to sit on this. The most important thing at this moment is the fact that Jason is going to go after Henrik, and he's going to treat him as a threat. He doesn't care about any of this other stuff.
Robert: You leave Jason to me.
Lulu: I am so sorry for what Henrik put you through and that you didn't get the answers you were looking for in Switzerland.
Jason: At least it wasn't a complete waste of time.
Lulu: What does that mean? Did you find something else?
Jason: Well, you know, Faison had a safe-deposit box, and there was a container in there with some of his things. One that can only be opened safely by the person Faison left it for.
Lulu: Opened safely?
Jason: It self-destructs if anybody else tries to unlock it.
Lulu: Do you think that Faison left that for Henrik?
Jason: I mean, if he did, Henrik doesn't know about it.
Lulu: Yeah, well, obviously, right? He would have taken it along with the letters.
Jason. Right. And there was a Cassadine crest on the container.
Lulu: Do you think that Valentin is involved?
Jason: I don't know. Maybe. But my money would be on Helena. You know, Helena and Faison have -- have a history of working together.
Lulu: The twisted partnership that just keeps on giving.
Jason: So, what are you gonna do?
Lulu: I-I don't know.
Jason: Well, can I say one more thing before you decide?
Jason: I left Sam and Danny one night, knowing the risks, and I didn't come back for five years. But I came back. Nathan never will. Maxie will grieve every day. Their child will grow up without ever knowing their father.
Lulu: It's unimaginable.
Jason: It's because we underestimated Faison. He did, and I did. Is that a gamble that you want to take and cause your family that kind of pain?
Lulu: Well, you've obviously given me a lot to think about.
Drew: I thought you'd want to cut ties with Aurora.
Sam: I don't -- I don't really want to rush into anything.
Drew: Okay. Well -- Well... [Chuckles] You know what? This company's half yours. Hell, I think it's more than half yours. If... If you're gonna be a part of it, be a part of it.
Sam: So that's a yes?
Drew: You want to give it a shot?
Carly: Nelle's only doing this to look good for Michael.
Diane: Oh, 100%.
Carly: She doesn't want me or Sonny anywhere near her kid, let alone raising it.
Diane: So, how would you like me to respond to her overtures?
Dante: No, Mike, Mike, look, he's got it -- he's got it handled.
Mike: Just let me go in and talk to him, all right?
Carly: What's -- What's going on?
Mike: Well, he's making a terrible mistake.
Carly: Okay, Sonny knows what he's doing.
Mike: No! No, if he [Chuckles] If he loses his daughter because of me...
Diane: Dare we ask?
Ava: We have come to an agreement.
Sonny: Uh, I'm giving Ava joint custody. Make everything equal. Coordinate it with Baldwin. Thank you.
Mike: Don't do this, Michael. Please.
Sonny: Dad, it's already done.
Drew: If we want to work together, I guess, uh [Chuckles] We have to somehow separate our professional and personal lives. You know what I mean? I guess we have to get a divorce.
Sam: Okay. I agree.
Curtis: Sam caught me in Peter's office.
Nina: She's supposed to be on a trip.
Curtis: I guess she came back early.
Nina: What happened?
Curtis: Well, she threatened to call the cops. So I came clean.
Nina: You told her everything?
Curtis: Uh, not everything. Just that I'm looking into Peter's background, but not who hired me to do it. But she said that she'd keep it to herself as long as I shared any information that I got.
Nina: I believe her. And two heads are better than one in this case. The faster we smoke out Peter, the better.
Valentin: There's too many parties making too many discoveries from too many angles.
Peter: You really think Robert Scorpio is that close?
Valentin: I do.
Peter: Then it's time to shut him down.
Jason: So, where are you at with Henrik? It's time to shut this guy down.
Robert: What's got you in such a rush?
Jason: Let's just say I want to find him and neutralize him before anybody gets hurt.
Robert: Well, I had a conversation with, uh, Valentin.
Robert: Don't know anything about the box.
Jason: You believe him?
Robert: No. But I can' t take this anywhere unless I can open that thing.
Jason: You know what? I may have a way to draw Henrik out into the open. We dangle the one thing that he wants.
Robert: What's that?
Jason: His mother.
Valentin: All this time, I only had the word of the midwife. But now I know she was telling the truth, wasn't she? You gave birth in that lonely room to Faison's child.
Anna: No child should have that monster for a father.
Valentin: I agree.
Anna: [Breathes deeply] [Sniffles] [Sighs]
Sonny: What time we -- we due in court?
Mike: There's got to be some way around this.
Sonny: I know what I'm doing, Dad.
Diane: When we all get there, remember I do the talking.
Sonny: Not all.
Ava: Oh, right, because I would like to make a statement.
Diane: Not wise.
Ava: Could be. I would like to tell the judge that it was a simple breakdown in communication between Carly and myself. And in the time that I've gotten to know Mike, I have found him to be an utterly decent human being who would never knowingly cause harm to his granddaughter.
Diane: Anything else?
Ava: Well, Avery came home safe and sound, and I would like the same for Mike so that he can get the care he needs to ensure that something like this does not happen again.
Diane: That'll do.
Sonny: Let's go over here.
Nelle: Carly, I'm really glad everything worked out.
Mike: This is wrong, Sonny. You know it's wrong.
Sonny: It's not a big deal, Dad.
Mike: How can you say that?
Sonny: Well, I-I couldn't keep Avery indefinitely from her mother, anyway. And now everything's gonna be okay.
Mike: [Sighs] Isn't now... the time you should stop telling yourself that?
On the next "General Hospital" --
Dante (to Jordan): Something on your mind?
Curtis (to TJ): I need to ask you a question.
Ava (to Griffin): Avery is gonna be spending a lot more time with her mama from here on out.
Nelle (to Michael): There’s something that I need to tell you.
Stella (to Sonny): There’s only one outcome for a patient with Alzheimer’s.
Carly (to Bobbie): The truth is I’m starting to question myself, Mom.
