[Laughs] Get out of here.

Michael: I'm serious. Then he just hopped right out of the water. Buck naked? Yeah. In front of everybody? Yeah. [Laughs] Yeah, the thing is, he, uh, he walked. He didn't run. He -- he just slowly walked back to the car. [Sighs] How mad was he when he got a hold of you, huh? 'Cause I swear, you know, you stole my clothes and... [Laughs] No, no, no. The thing is, though, is he was actually, uh -- he wasn't mad. H-he found the whole thing hilarious. Grabbing life with both hands. Living. Yeah. That's how he was. Yeah. Sounds like your brother was a riot. [Chuckles] I'm sorry I didn't get more time with him. Yeah. Me, too. But, hey, if you're, uh, sticking around, I have plenty more stories I could tell you. Yeah, I want to -- I want to hear them all. But, uh, you better hurry 'cause I-I got a sweetheart waiting for me back home. Oh. Okay. So, I'm -- I'm assuming you've been given a clean bill of health? Well, no, he has a follow-up. Yeah, yeah, but I'll stock up on my vitamins and eat my veggies, and d-don't you worry. I'll be fine. You -- you do not have to worry about me. [Sighs] For me? Yeah. These are my favorites. Is there a note? No, 'cause they're from me. Oh. [Chuckles] That's so nice, Nelle. Well... thank you. Yeah. I thought you could use a little pick-me-up yeah. You mean being left alone on Valentine's Day. Well... thank you. That really is such a nice gesture, but I-I try not to eat my feelings. [Chuckles] You -- you -- you have it. You enjoy them.

[Cell phone ringing]

Okay. This is Ava Jerome. And this is her boyfriend. [Sighs] Hi, griffin. How's work? Swell. Well, I-I just got here, actually. I'm just settling in. All right. I, uh -- I won't keep you. I just, um -- I just wanted to hear your voice. I miss you, and -- look, I'm -- I'm sorry. I know important Valentine's Day is for you. It's not the day that's important to me, griffin. It's you. Right. Right. Th-that's what I meant. Yeah, you know, I'm gonna have a delivery soon, so I should, um -- I should go. We'll talk later, though. Uh, sure, sure. [Sighs] Give me those. [Chuckles] Which one's good? Oh, right there. [Both laugh] [Sighs] Nina, I am so sorry you had to find the office like this. The police wouldn't let housekeeping or maintenance in here during the investigation. It's okay. I just want to fix it. Valentin's gonna put in an order. Okay. You're my tenant. I'm going to change the carpet. I'll have it replaced. I promise you, okay? Okay, can you do it quickly? Because I just want all traces of blood gone from this office before Maxie can see it. Absolutely. If --

[Elevator doors open]

[Knock on door]

Come in. Hey. Hi. I went by Drew's office, but -- he's in a meeting. Yeah. Um, I'm sorry. Anything I can help you with? Yeah. I wanted to talk to you the Port Charles press. Hey, I have that spreadsheet for you. But if I'm interrupting, I can -- no, no, of course not. Actually, now is the perfect time. Peter, I don't know if you've met, but this is Jason Morgan. Yes. We've met. Nice to see you. Jason had some questions about Aurora, specifically Port Charles press. Okay. What do you think about running an article on Faison's will? It's all pop-culture trivia, but it gets pretty intense.

Oh, there you are. Hi. Hey, Alexis. Good to see you. You, too. All right. Uh, thank you for meeting me. I'm sorry Lucas couldn't be here. He just got pulled into emergency surgery. Oh, all right. Well, if you'd like, we can reschedule. No, not necessary. Lucas and I agree we want to keep the forward momentum. All right. Let's do it. Let's adopt you two a baby. [Laughs] You know, I could use something like this, you know, a real statement piece. Mm-hmm. Yes, well, it would look great in that lean-to that Michael's selling out from under you. Oh, don't worry, Ava. A big upgrade is imminent. How big? Mansion big. You're talking about the Quartermaine residence. My, my. Well, you are making some progress with Michael, huh? Eh, baby steps. See what I did there? Yeah. That's really -- that's super clever, yep. [Chuckles] You know, Monica had us over the other night to celebrate the election returns, and afterwards, everyone was happy and hugging. Including you and Michael. Well, look at you. You're practically part of the family. Not yet. But I will be soon. Just be careful. Don't get over-confident, okay? [Sighs] Making friends with Monica is one thing. Luring Michael from the clutches of his mother is quite another. You'll see. When I'm finished, I'll be firmly back at Michael's side. And Carly? Nowhere to be found. Michael: Nelle? Sorry I'm late. Nina: Um, what are you doing here? Working, unless you hired a new executive fashion editor in my absence. Uh, no, of course not. I-I just didn't expect you back for another couple weeks. Oh, well, consider it a happy surprise. We are really behind, right? Yeah. Well, reinforcements have arrived. Honestly, Nina, can't stay cooped up in my apartment forever. So, as I see it, we're both winning. Maxie... I'm very sorry for your loss. If there's anything I can do, please let me know. Um, coffee would help -- a lot of it. We have tons to do. Decaf? Yeah. Okay. [Sighs] I'll take cold brew. Coming right up. So, um, I logged on last night and saw the proofs came in for the profile we're doing on san Juan's mayor. Should we start there? You need more time. [Elevator doors close] For what? [Sighs] To process what happened, to grieve. You lost Nathan, too, and you're still here. I know, but... oh. I'm more fragile because I'm pregnant. I didn't say that. Please don't be like everyone else and tell me what I need. I know what I need, okay? Okay. That's to work, to do anything I can to forget about this gaping hole in my life. I understand. All right. Okay? Okay. So, uh, well, the launch awaits. What's this? Um, oh, I-I dropped my breakfast this morning. That -- come on. What? I'm -- I'm just surprised, that's all. I mean, the idea of you wanting to publicize anything ever... I just think it's our best shot at finding Henrik. Okay, wait. L-let's go back a minute. Faison left a will? Yeah. It was read yesterday. Yeah. Um, Drew, Jason, and I were all there. Why? Drew and I are beneficiaries. But that makes no sense! Faison's the guy who tortured you both. He turned your worlds upside down. Yeah, well, apparently, he's not done yet. In order for Drew and Jason to claim their gift, the other one has to die. Well, that's diabolical. Right. What could he be possibly offering that would be worth -- killing your own brother? Right. Well, for Drew, he offered his memories back. Well, you don't believe him. I don't know what to believe. Could he possibly have that information? Yeah, I -- and you? What did Faison dangle in front of you? His son. [Sighs] Take a walk. What? You're dancing around like you got ants in your pants. Go. Get some air. I'm worried... a-about Michael. He's got his first childbirth class, and I'm afraid that his, you know, the mother of his child's gonna use that against him. Well, if she does, Michael will know, okay? I hope so. Your son can take care of himself, Sonny. And so can your father, okay? So, if being here is causing you agita, take off. No, I'm -- I'm good. I'm good. I'm good. Well...sit. This fidgeting is driving me nuts. Sorry to keep you guys waiting. How you feeling, Mike? Uh, like I'd like to get out of here, so can we make this quick? It's gonna take as long as it takes, Mike. I got a life to get back to. [Chuckles] I'll be as succinct as possible. How's that? Now, I have, uh, had the chance to look at your, uh, MRI and your pet scans, and we can rule out stroke, hemorrhage, and a number of degenerative conditions. [Chuckles] See? Told you. [Chuckles] All but one. [Sighs] Which one? Now, the, uh... the scans don't tell us the whole story. But when you couple that with your blood work and performance on the mmse... know, I'm sorry, Mr. Corbin, but you have Alzheimer's.

Hey. I'm sorry. Uh, Lucas just texted me. He said you guys were meeting to talk about the adoption. I don't want to bother you. I just want to say good luck, okay? Thanks. Oh, Carly, wait. Um, would you -- would you mind joining us? I could really use your input. Uh, really? I mean... I don't know. The subject of kids is a really, really personal thing, and I don't know if I should be involved. You'd be doing me a favor. Please? Uh, okay. All right. [Chuckles] Okay, so, I was just giving brad the good news that an expectant mother has reviewed the profiles of Lucas and brad and is seriously considering selecting them to adopt her baby. [Laughing] Oh, my god, I'm so happy for you! Oh, just wait. Uh-oh. It's not necessarily a... is there a problem? Well, the mother is insisting on a semi-open adoption. Translation -- she would like to remain anonymous. You were saying something about my mom? Uh, just that I hope she's nowhere near our childbirth class today. [Scoffs] Uh, you don't have to worry about that. That's right. I forgot that you asked for the afternoon off. Is that a problem? No, no, of course not. You know, I am so thrilled for you and Michael. I really want to do anything I can to support you. It's only for a couple of hours, Ava. Yes, but they're very important hours, hours that are not to be missed. Okay. We should go. Okay. [Whispering] Thank you. You're welcome. Have fun. Enjoy the chocolates. [Chuckles] Mike, did you hear what the doctor just told you? Yeah. I'm not deaf. He said I have, um... what's it called again? [Laughs] I'm joking. It's not funny. It's not funny at all, Mike. [Chuckles] Hey... I don't have Alzheimer's, just like my son has no sense of humor. He just told you that your scan showed that you did, Mike. Yeah. He just told you, okay? Yeah. So what, okay? I mean, you go to 10 different doctors, you get 10 different opinions. Now, where'd you dig this guy up? He's the best neurosurgeon in the country, Mike. Then he should know you can't tell if you got Alzheimer's until you're dead and they cut up your brain. Wait, that's -- that's technically true, but the protocol for diagnosis is sound. It's been honed for decades. You just keep on honing. I'm out of here. Mike... you're not going anywhere. You don't actually believe him, do you? Yes, I do. Maxie: You know... what's that? ...I feel like this layout needs...something.

[Cell phone dings]

Maxie? Yeah. Sorry. Um, so, this layout with Margo -- she's gorgeous, obviously. That goes without saying. But she has this real soulful quality, and I'm not sure we're conveying that --

[Cell phone dings]

Oh, god. Do you know how to turn off the notifications on your phone? This is so annoying. Um, yeah. You know what? I went crazy after the new update. Um, I-is there some place you need to be? Just, uh, an appointment that I made months before. [Cell phone dings] Oh, please, just shut up, damn it! [Sighs] Sorry. Oh, listen, don't be sorry. Don't ever be sorry, okay? It's not okay. What are you talking about? Of course it's okay. It's a phone. Big deal. Look at this. A phone. Here. There! [Laughs] I cannot believe you just did that. We'll go shopping together. Big deal. What was the appointment? Childbirth class. It starts today. Anything Faison did is set up to mess with us, right? Yeah. It's a double cross waiting to happen. Okay. So we don't play his game. Instead, we find Henrik. Faison said Henrik was involved in the memory mapping. Well, Henrik could have his own copy. He could be key. I assume that's where the will comes in? Yeah. Faison left everything to his son. We assumed it was Nathan because there was no other name specified. It just said "his son"? If you run the story on the will, it could draw him out of hiding. Well, and then you'd finally get your answers. I-I don't need answers. What are you talking about? Look, whatever Henrik's reasons for keeping me alive... am I curious? Yes. But what happened happened. It's not gonna give me back those five years. It's not gonna change anything, but... it could change everything for Drew.

So, this woman gets all the information she wants about brad and Lucas, but they are totally in the dark about her? Correct. A-and she has the right to show up one day, any day, and make herself known to the child? That's the open part. The other part being the "semi." Huh. All right, I'm gonna give you some time to mull this over, but I-I want you to be aware that the mother has asked her lawyers to square this away as quickly as possible, so... so we can't take forever. The sooner you decide, the better. I'll be back. [Chuckling] Yeah. No pressure, huh? Well, what do you think? If I were you, I would have serious reservations about this. Maxie: Nathan actually signed us up. You should have seen him. He was so giddy about being my coach, said he was gonna learn everything there was to know and ace all the tests and become magma cum doula. [Laughs] He said that? Yeah, he did. He's a dork. I can't believe I have to do this alone. What? You're not gonna do this alone. What time is the class? It starts in 20 minutes. In 20 minutes? All right, well, then we have to go. Wait, I can't ask you to do that. Well, y-you're not asking me. What about the issue? [Scoffs] The issue is already late. I mean, who cares? Besides, more important things are at play here, like my niece or nephew's birth. And I want to do this. I want to see you through this, okay? I could call my mom. No! No, no, no. It's aunt Nina or bust. Listen, let me coach you, okay? Let me do this for you 'cause, honestly, I need something to do. So, it would kind of be like I'm helping you as much as you're helping me. More, even. Okay. All right. All right. So, let's get a move on. Oh, I don't need this. Nina. Yeah? Thank you. The bottom line is, Henrik's the only person still alive that may have a solid lead. For that reason alone, it's worth drawing him out. Yeah, I know. I get that. I-I hear a "but" coming. Yes, there is a "but." But what if publicizing the will has the opposite effect? What if it makes this guy run? Yeah, I mean, that's possible. It is, but -- okay. So, my advice is to sit back and wait. And -- and just do nothing? He kept you alive, Jason, for five years, and now you're here. That fact alone -- I mean, if that doesn't bring him out in the open, I don't know what will, especially now that Faison's dead.

[Cell phone ringing]

Peter: Excuse me. I have to take this. Uh, this is Peter August. Go ahead.

[Door closes]

Okay, so -- so, you don't -- you don't really want to run the article? No. I don't. Why? You can't be serious. I'm not an expert on what's going on here, but I trust Dr. Munro 100%. More than your own father? You want a second -- we're gonna get a second opinion. Please get a second opinion. Listen, something's off. It just makes sense. You misplacing Caruso's money, walking around not knowing where you're going, what happened at Kelly's. I'm getting older. I forget stuff. Well -- it's normal! It's -- this is beyond forgetting things. You want me to be sick. Is that it? No. Uh-huh. M-maybe you paid this guy for a fake diagnosis. Why would I do that, Mike? To get rid of me for good. You're getting this all backwards, is what you're doing. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Yeah, yeah, that's what you're doing. Uh-huh. Okay, here we go. Come on. Get it all out, huh? I messed up really bad when he was a kid. Th-there's never enough "sorrys." That has nothing to do with it. The hell it doesn't! This is confidential, right? What -- what happens here stays in this office. Not a word to anyone. Understood? Where you going, Mike?

[Door opens]

Where you going, Mike?! To find some better company. [Voice breaking] Someone who actually gives a damn.

Hey. I didn't know if you were gonna make it. Well, I almost didn't. Yeah. She has a pushy sister-in-law. Aha. Well, okay. Just so you know, if you feel like you just can't do this or you're not ready, you can always jump into a later class. Um, we're -- we're gonna jump in now. Okay. Well, welcome to childbirth class. [Chuckles] Thanks, Epiphany. We're gonna have a full house today. Good. [Sighs] Oh, you have got to be kidding me. I mean, this mother wants to know everything about you and Lucas, but she refuses to share anything about herself. That's a person who's hiding for a reason. And consider what that reason might be. Fair enough. Yeah. With that being said, there's nothing I want more than for you and my brother to be parents, so I really hope this works out. I do, with all my heart, okay? Thank you, Carly. You're welcome. [Sighs] [Inhales deeply] [Sighs] Hey, Amy, it's brad. Uh, can you check if Lucas is out of surgery? It's important. I'm so sorry. I didn't realize anyone was here. Is there something I can help you with? What is this place? Well... it's an art gallery. No, no, this isn't right. Well, I-it's true art is not for everybody. You don't work here. Excuse me. I do. This is my place of business. [Chuckles] No, it isn't. This is Luke's. Sonny: If Mike shows up there, make sure that he -- he doesn't go anywhere. Thank you, Max. I'm sorry about my father. He doesn't --I don't know. Don't apologize, please. H-he doesn't usually lash out like that and be that angry. Look, anger and denial are both, uh, very common reactions to an Alzheimer's diagnosis. And you're positive this is what it is? Sonny, please, um, I'd like you to get a second opinion. But in all honesty, I knew what I was dealing with before I saw the scans. I have treated several people in the exact same boat as Mike. How bad's it gonna get? All Alzheimer's cases end the same. It's just a matter of how you get there and how fast. I already told you why I think it's a risk. Yeah. Because you're worried it could scare Henrik off, and I get that, but -- but why else? But that's not what you're thinking. Okay. What -- what am I thinking? You're -- you're thinking that I'm afraid for Drew to remember and that it's gonna change things for us, but that's not it. I'm not thinking that. Okay. I believe you. I'm -- I'm actually desperate for Drew to remember. I want him to, for -- for himself, for the kids, for me. [Sighs] But there are so many elements that make Drew different from you, and maybe that's just him. Or that was him, or it's the real him? Are we really having this conversation right now? I guess -- I guess we are. Oh, my gosh. It's just I-I think that we're trying too hard. I think that we're acting like this is a race for him to reclaim his memories, and -- and it's not really. And I'm not explaining this right, am I? No, you're doing great. We've got to change our mind-set. The flash drive is a flash drive, and if it's there and we find it, that's great. It's -- it's the goal. But if we don't, then -- then life goes on, right? [Sighs] It's sort of like couples when they're trying to get pregnant. What? You know, you try and try and try, and it could take months, up to years and never happen, so you finally wind up adopting, and then -- bam! -- It happens. What -- what happens? You get pregnant. You -- you stop... right. ...Stressing so much, and you relax. It just happens, and I think that that could apply here. [Chuckles] Okay. [Chuckles] Why are you laughing? [Chuckles] I just wasn't really clear where you were going with this -- the whole pregnant thing. Well, then keep up, will you? Yeah. I'm... I'm -- I'm trying. Okay.

[Chuckles] No, I'm good. [Chuckles] You are? Not talking about that. Are you sure? I'm positive. I have a lot of information I --

[Knock on door]

I'm good. Sorry about that. Hey. So, where do we stand on this article? Scratch it. Really? Yeah. I understand your concerns. I'll keep looking into it on my own. Thank you. Good luck. You, too. [Sighs] I'm sorry about that. Why? 'Cause I-I told you to stick around, and it wound up being for nothing. I wouldn't say nothing. This whole Faison situation. It's messed up. And eerily fascinating. To the outside observer, I mean. I realize for you and Drew, it's obviously a nightmare. And for Jason. Of course. You know, it's funny. For two people that thought they were the same person for a while, those two brothers are really nothing alike, are they? Look, I know an Alzheimer's diagnosis carries a lot of dread. [Sighs] It's important to understand that all patients respond differently. Respond to what? What -- what are our options? Well, there are, uh, medications that can slow the disease's progression, as well as mitigate symptoms. There are also therapies to help our patients, uh, manage their lives, preserve as much independence as possible. For how long? The, um... the average life expectancy after diagnosis for a man Mike's age is, uh, is about 4 to 8 years. That's determined by time of onset. We don't have a clear picture as to when his symptoms started. We would have if I'd have checked on him. Sonny, this is not your fault. Yeah, it is. I manage this place. I do all the hiring. You are not one of my people, okay? Did -- did Luke bring you in? Luke. Luke Spencer. Yeah, Luke Spencer, the owner. This is his club. Blues club. Yeah, that's right. Look, I don't know how you got here, you know, if you're a friend of Luke's or whatever, but we are not open. And I'm expecting a liquor guy, and you're just gonna have to, uh, you know, come back another time. I'm so sorry. There has been a misunderstanding. Yeah, I'll say. Luke -- he did own a club on this site, but it's gone. What are you talking about? It burned to the ground years ago. Okay, everybody, grab your partner and a spot on the floor. We're gonna get started. [Door closes] Nina: Okay. Oh, sorry. Mm-hmm. [Clears throat] Excuse me. Would you mind switching with... okay. During these weekly classes, we will be covering a lot of topics, including but not limited to the signs of labor, the natural progression of labor and birth, techniques on how to cope with pain. Do you want to go? Nope. I just wish they weren't taking up so much room. And, no, drugs are not the only option. Shh. I'm trying to listen. [Laughter] Could you maybe move back a little bit? How your partner can help you during labor... if I move back any more, I'll be in the hallway. ...And when to call your doctor. Perfect. Ladies, there will be time for chatting later. I'd rather not. Thank you. All right. Now for the ultimate question -- how do you know when you're in labor? What is she doing here anyway? She's my coach. [Sighs] I see you couldn't find anybody sane. And I see you still can't find someone to love you.

Look, we already agreed on some version of an open adoption, right? I agree. I-I'd prefer if our kid had the option to know their birth mother, too, but... Lucas, we can offer this child a loving, stable home, with two committed fathers. I mean... isn't that more important? [Chuckles] Actually, you're the one who said that to me first. Yeah, you did. Oh, uh, Alexis is here. Yeah. I'll tell her. All right. Love you, babe. I just, uh, talked it over with Lucas, and we want to move forward. So tell the mother's attorney we are good with a semi-open adoption. Okay. I'll get the ball rolling. [Exhales sharply] Man. I can't believe it. In a couple months, we're gonna have a baby. If all goes well. Um... why -- why wouldn't it? You -- you said she likes us, right? Yes, she does, but she's also asked, uh, to, uh, get some more information on both of your backgrounds, which means an in-depth history of your lives and families. [Sighs] Which means she's gonna find out about Julian. Epiphany: We're going to be covering a lot in this class, but the most important thing to take away is how to be a team in the delivery room. Your baby is counting on you to be cool, calm, and collected to bring them into this world. So, you're going to be focused on learning ho and how to read each other's signals. Nina: Okay. Magma cum doula right here. [Sighs] Michael: Hey. Look, Maxie's grieving, okay? I'm sure she's lashing out at everyone right now. Yeah. It still hurts to be told you're alone. You're not alone. Look, now, when it comes to this baby, you and I -- we're a team. You got it? I got it. Okay. What do you say we go back in there?

[Cell phone chimes]

You got a message? No, uh, just a reminder. A little project I have set up is off and running.

[Cell phone ringing]

Hello? Look, whoever this is, I am so over these ca-- look, now is not the time to assign blame, Sonny. You need to prioritize. [Sighs] Okay. What, uh -- what do we do first? Well, we need to get your father in here so he can accept his diagnosis. Okay. Then what? Formulate a plan of action. Mm-hmm. It's better for your father to decide now how he wants this to go rather than leave you to make the decisions later... when he no longer can. [Sighs] Is there someone I can call for you? Luke. Well, I'm so sorry. But Luke doesn't live here anymore. He moved away some time ago. No, don't -- don't -- don't try to pull one over on me. Who are you? Are you one of Luke's enemies, hmm? You -- you work for Helena, is that it? Why don't you just sit down, okay? Please. I'll get you something to drink, and we -- we can see about contacting your family, okay? Hey! Hey! All right, now, I'm gonna call the police now. Wait! Where do you think you're going?! [Exhales sharply]

[Door closes]

Hello. This is Ava Jerome. Someone has just vandalized my gallery. [Indistinct conversations] What's wrong? Uh, I... I got a call just now. I-I don't know from who. It -- I didn't hear a voice. There was just this sound. What kind of sound? An explosion. I'm sorry, Sam. I didn't mean to get personal. No, I-it's okay. It's fine, actually. You know what? You're right. Jason and Drew are two completely different people, especially the way they handle things. Jason -- he knows how to cut his losses and move on, and Drew is still... searching for a resolution. And who can blame him? The guy doesn't know who he is. I mean, I can't imagine putting myself in that position. Yeah. Me either. But it doesn't change how we lived the past five years. What's done is done. It sounds like Jason understands that. Well, Jason lives in the here and now, and Drew -- he's still struggling with what happened and why. It's complicated all around. Yes, it is. Sorry. I wish there was more I could do to help. Nope, unless you know the whereabouts of a disco-ball ornament with a flash drive in it that disappeared around -- I don't know -- December. [Chuckles] Sorry. Can't help there. I didn't think so.

[Ornament thuds]
