Robin: Well, don't you have the best timing?
Jason: Well, just lucky, I guess.
Robin: [Chuckles] Do you have time to sit?
Jason: Yeah, sure. I was actually supposed to meet Michael, but he's not here yet, so.
Robin: Oh, good. I was just on my way over to Sonny's to say hi before I flew back home. So... [Clears throat] I would like to personally thank you for killing Faison. Not something you ever thought I would say, right? [Chuckles]
Jason: No. But I get it.
Robin: I mean, never mind what he did to me or you or even his own son Nathan. He terrorized my mother for most of her life. You just set her free.
Carly: You're here.
Carly: [Laughs] You made great time. I wasn't expecting to see you till later.
Sonny: Well, I wasn't gonna leave you hanging on Valentine's Day.
Sonny: Did you get my message?
Carly: Yes, yes! So, how's our guest? I'm assuming the trip was uneventful?
Mike: How is it possible that you're even more beautiful?
Carly: Oh, get in here! [Laughs] So, are those for me?
Mike: Brooklyn's finest.
Carly: Oh, yeah.
Mike: Nothing too good for my favorite daughter-in-law.
Carly: Only daughter-in-law, right? Where are your bags?
Mike: They're in the car. I told my son that I would spend time with the family, but I was gonna check into a motel.
Sonny: And I told my dad that he's staying here. It's already decided.
Ava: We could have the cocktail station right over there. You know, signature cocktails are very in right now, and you could do that. You could have one for the bride, one for the groom?
Liz: Do you think people would be disappointed if we just passed champagne?
Ava: No. I mean, it's your wedding. Serve what you want. If you want hors d'oeuvres, I do happen to have a little kitchen in the back. Do you want to see it?
Franco: No, it's okay. I believe you.
Ava: Look, I know it's not really a traditional venue, but you're an artist, Franco, so it's very fitting. And I'd like to offer you the space for free. My gift to you.
Liz: Oh, Ava, that's really generous of you.
Franco: I think maybe we should think about it, though, right? I mean, the last time I showed my work here, somebody showed up from my past, tried to take revenge on the paintings.
Liz: Yeah, but that was just a minor glitch in an otherwise great night. And this is where you staged your return to the art world, and you freed yourself from the past and started over.
Ava: Franco. You are the luckiest man alive. So, how does it feel? To leave your past behind you once and for all?
Kim: I was starting to think you weren't gonna show up.
Drew: I just got your text. What's happening with Oscar?
Drew: Oh, that's a good one. What happened?
Kim: You happened. This is your fault.
Sonny: It doesn't make sense not to stay here. We have plenty of room.
Mike: I can take care of myself. I can make my own decisions, okay? The size of your house doesn't change the fact that I want to stay where I want to stay.
Carly: Have you guys been doing this all the way up I-81? Sonny, Mike's right. He can stay wherever he wants to stay. Including the Metro Court, not some old motel. And, Mike, I would be offended if you choose to stay anywhere but here. I already have your room ready for you.
Mike: Okay. You -- you win, Carly, okay? I can't offend my gracious, beautiful hostess, all right? Even if it means I'm under surveillance.
Sonny: Come on, Mike. "Under surveillance."
Carly: You know what, Mike? Come on, let's go upstairs, and you can get freshened up. Come on. And Sonny will have your bags brought up to you, and I got something for you, but you can't smoke them in the house.
Mike: I don't know if I can find my way in this palace.
Carly: I can show you.
Mike: No, no, kidding, kidding.
Carly: What's going on?
Sonny: Mike's in some kind of trouble, and I'm not gonna let him go back home until I figure out what it is.
Drew: Look, I realize that you're upset, but you're a doctor, you've seen your fair share of shiners.
Kim: Oh, I didn't realize you were a doctor now, too.
Drew: I'm just saying I've seen my share of black eyes, also.
Kim: Okay. Well, you are missing the point. If you teach your son to fight, guess what -- he's gonna fight. And he may even think that that is the best way to solve his problems.
Drew: I taught Oscar how to defend himself because he asked me to.
Kim: It puts him at risk. You know, you don't understand the challenges of raising a teen.
Drew: I do understand it's our job to teach them responsibility, yes, but you also have to teach your children to defend themselves.
Kim: Well, Oscar and I were doing just fine before you came and decided to teach us some lessons.
Drew: Okay, then tell me why he came to me for help.
Kim: Because he obviously didn't know any better.
Drew: He's not a little kid anymore.
Kim: Okay, who -- who are you to tell me that he's growing up and he's not a little kid anymore --
Oscar: Guys! Stop! Drew, please stop. And, Mom, you couldn't be more wrong.
Ava: I asked you here to talk about hors d'oeuvres and a party and drinks and dancing. I know a great deejay, and I can make space for dancing if you'd like that, so what do you think? Should I book the gallery for your reception?
Liz: Thank you so much, but I think we're gonna have to -- we're gonna have to think about it.
Franco: Oh, yeah, we're gonna think about it.
Liz: We'll think about it.
Liz: And we have to go 'cause it's half-day at the school, and Jake has an art contest.
Ava: Oh, nice. That's great. Okay, well, just keep in touch with me then, okay? And let me know.
Liz: Thank you.
Ava: You're welcome.
Franco: Thanks, Ava.
Elizabeth: Excuse us.
Nelle: Ava, these were delivered for you.
Ava: Ooh, let me see. "Yours today, tonight, and tomorrow. Griffin."
Robin: Nathan's funeral was heartbreaking. I mean, I barely know Nina, but her speech was beautiful. You know, she could barely hold it together. And Maxie, I think she's still in shock. But there were a lot of people there for her -- Amy and Spinelli. [Chuckles] Sam and Drew.
Robin: heard they got married.
Robin: I'm surprised. I really hoped that Sam would take a step back and evaluate her feelings. You know, it's a very complicated situation, but it's also simple. [Chuckles]
Jason: [Sighs] Sam wants a life with Drew. It's that simple.
Robin: That's what Sam thinks she should want. Because if she were to abandon Drew just because you came back, she would feel -- I don't know -- disloyal. As if every time she said she loved him, it was a lie. I know because I watched Patrick go through it with Sabrina, and yes, he did love her, but -- [Chuckles] He loved me more. And I am telling you, I would bet everything that I own, including Emma and Noah's college funds, that Sam loves you more.
Jason: [Scoffs] Now you're starting to sound like Carly.
Robin: [Laughs] Well, that should tell you something, then, right? After all these years of pulling you in opposite directions, we actually agree on something. All right, well, I should go.
Robin: So, you know it's Valentine's Day, right?
Jason: Yeah. Yeah, I know.
Robin: I got these for Emma, but I'm sure she wouldn't mind sharing them with you.
Jason: Mm, okay.
Robin: Here you go. Happy Valentine's Day.
Jason: Thank you. Thank you very much. Happy Valentine's Day.
Robin: No, no, wait, you have to read it first.
Michael: Hey. Sorry to keep you waiting.
Jason: No problem. Actually, Robin was here, so I got to visit with her a little while.
Michael: Oh, really? Sorry I missed her. She's always been so nice to me.
Jason: Well, she's -- she's loved you since you were a baby, man. Yeah. But the way you tower over her now, it's hard to believe that she used to hold you in her arms.
Michael: Mom made things pretty hard for you and Robin, didn't she?
Jason: Yeah, that was -- it was a long time ago. But it all worked out.
Michael: I'll take that as a yes.
Michael: I have one more question.
Michael: [Sighs] Did my mom ever use me to get closer to you? Because that's what I think Nelle is trying to do with our baby.
Ava: You know, Nelle, a year ago, I would never have dreamed that I'd be getting a big, beautiful bouquet of roses from a wonderful man, so just goes to show you. A lot can change in a year.
Nelle: You know, a year ago, I never expected that I'd be having a baby with Michael. We were just starting to fall in love. And for the first time in my life, I thought, "here's a guy who sees more in me than anyone's ever seen before." He made me feel like I could be a better person. And I wanted to, and I was really gonna try, but then, you know, of course, everything just blew up in my face, so you're right. What a difference a year can make.
Ava: You know, the most surprising thing I learned this year is that your life can really turn around if you have somebody who believes in you. Oh.
Ava: Somebody who believes in you enough. I know they say you're supposed to believe in yourself, and that's true, and you should, but it sure helps a lot to have somebody look at you like you matter.
Nelle: I'm really happy for you, Ava.
Ava: Thank you, Nelle. Would you mind taking those and adding a little water for me?
Ava: Hey, Nelle. A year from now, you're gonna have your beautiful baby. And if everything goes according to your plan, you're gonna have your man, and you're gonna have a big, beautiful bouquet of flowers of your own.
Nelle: From your lips to Michael's ears.
Sonny: I didn't want to say this over the phone, but Mike was a runner. And there was a problem with some money he misplaced.
Carly: What kind of problem?
Sonny: $10,000 worth.
Carly: Whoa. So he's gambling again?
Sonny: No, he says he isn't, and Rita backs him on that.
Carly: Who's Rita?
Sonny: Oh, yeah, you don't know. She's like his lady friend that he has, like a girlfriend, and probably the best thing that's ever happened to Mike.
Carly: Oh, wow, so you like her?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, she's good people.
Carly: Okay, well, that's great for Mike. What about the missing money?
Sonny: Well, um, that's why Caruso called me 'cause it was his money that Mike lost. Now, I took care of everything, settled the debt, but here's the strange thing. We found the money in Mike's apartment in the cigar box, $10,000 worth. And he says he doesn't know anything about it.
Carly: That doesn't make any sense.
Sonny: That's why Mike's here because I want to keep an eye on him, figure out what's going on. I mean, he is my dad.
Carly: Of course, and he can stay here as long as he wants to stay here.
Mike: You don't have to talk in hushed voices. I know Sonny's got his eyes on me. You won't have to count the silverware.
Carly: Oh, gosh. [Laughs] [Doorbell rings]
Sonny: Oh, look who's here.
Robin: I hope you don't mind. Max let me up. I wanted to say hello before my flight out.
Sonny: Max knows that you're always welcome here. I have a surprise for you.
Sonny: Yeah, now.
Robin: Oh, my gosh, stranger. You're in town, too?
Mike: Yeah, well, come on over here.
Mike: Oh, my gosh.
Robin: Oh, it's so good to see you. [Laughs]
Kim: Go back to your room. You may have a day off from school, but your Social Studies project is due on Friday.
Drew: Oscar, I apologize. Your mom's just a little upset about that shiner you've got.
Oscar: Oh, but it's not right for her to blame you for what happened.
Drew: Well, I wanted to teach you to defend yourself, but I should have followed up to make sure that problem we discussed could have been -- I don't know -- sorted out some other way than throwing your fists. I got stuck with work and things at home. It's not an excuse. I'm sorry. I'll do better.
Kim: And to be fair, I could have handled it better myself.
Drew: Looks like we're learning as we go. So, it's a good one. This black eye, is it in connection to what you told me at the gym? That kid getting bullied?
Oscar: Yeah. Kind of.
Kim: It's okay, Oscar. You can tell your father what's going on.
Michael: Nelle keeps saying that she's clear that we're not together. But she never misses a chance to lean on me, to hold my hand, to talk about our future. She's counting on the baby to bring me back to her.
Jason: You think that could work?
Michael: I'd like to say no. I don't love Nelle. I don't even really know her. She's got something broken inside, and she lies to the point that I think it's compulsive. She tells people, she tells me what she thinks will get her what she wants, and honestly, I don't have faith in her to be a good mother. But I don't want to [Sighs] Have this custody fight, either. So what's -- what's the alternative? What's the best solution for my child? What would you do?
Jason: Well, I wouldn't try to make a family with somebody you don't trust. Because you're just setting yourself up for failure, and that's only gonna hurt the child. I mean, you had a lot of chaos in your life, there's no doubt about it, but you had people around you who loved you consistently, especially your mom. I mean, if you can do for your child what Carly did for you, love them, be there day in, day out, then regardless of what Nelle does, your baby's gonna be okay.
Michael: Yeah. Thank you.
Michael: That helps. A lot. I got to get going.
Michael: I'll see you.
Jason: See you, buddy.
Jake: Come on, Mom, before all the chocolate cupcakes are gone.
Ava: Hmm. Beautiful. I would shine a spotlight on it if I could.
Nelle: Do you and Griffin have plans tonight?
Ava: Yeah, yeah, we do. Oh, that reminds me. I was gonna stop by my favorite boutique and get something special to wear. You want to come with? You know, I'm gonna just check on the thing in the back?
Ava: Hello, Michael. How are you? How's Avery?
Michael: Hello, Ava. Avery is great. I'll be picking her up from preschool shortly.
Ava: Okay. Well, please wish my little angel a happy Valentine's Day from her mama.
Nelle: You know, Michael, she really does miss her daughter. Some bonds can't be broken. I'm starting to understand that more and more these days. So, what brings you by? I got the e-mail confirmation that we're all signed up for Lamaze, so thank you.
Michael: No, my pleasure.
Nelle: Did you want to get together and, like, study or anything?
Michael: No, actually, I wanted to talk about the apartment.
Nelle: Okay, um, actually, I was going to buy some stamps and send this to you in the mail, but since you're already here. Here is next month's rent early so you know I'm serious about sharing my part of the expenses.
Michael: That's great. It is, but I'd rather you hold onto that. Um...I think for both our sakes, I should stick to my original plan. I'm putting the building up for sale.
Drew: You told me the kid was different, but not this different.
Oscar: Would it have mattered?
Drew: Yes. Because it makes me admire you even more. It's a cool thing you two did, standing up to bullies.
Oscar: Oh. Do you think that organizing a dance that's open to all kids is asking for more trouble?
Drew: Probably, but some of the best things in life are worth trouble. So, we'll be ready for it this time.
Oscar: How about you, Mom? You onboard, too?
Kim: Well, I would rather you concentrate on finishing your Social Studies report [Laughs] Before tackling a party.
Oscar: You know, the two of you guys need to work on your co-parenting skills 'cause I'm getting a lot of mixed messages here.
Drew: Do your homework.
Drew: He's got a point, though.
Kim: Yeah. Whose fault is that?
Drew: Who said anything about fault? Maybe it's nobody's fault. Maybe, actually, we did something pretty incredible.
Kim: Yeah? Like what?
Drew: Making Oscar.
Mike: Your daughter's beautiful, Robin.
Mike: Oh, and who's this little man?
Robin: That's my son, Noah. What, Sonny didn't tell you that Patrick and I had a baby boy?
Mike: Uh, sure he did. It's just that there's so many nam-- names to remember. I couldn't remember his name.
Robin: Oh. [Chuckles]
Mike: I'll have to put him in my system.
Robin: Your system?
Mike: Yeah. Yeah, you know what my system is for remembering little ones' names?
Sonny: He associates his family members with his favorite horses.
Mike: Old habits die hard. Okay? You know, for instance, you Robin, Red Robin won at Saratoga, okay? Emma? Emissary won at Pimlico. And now I have to come up with one for Noah, and I just did. Noah's Ark won at Churchill Downs.
Mike: Oh, here we go.
Robin: Mike, are you okay?
Mike: I'm fine. I get a little wobbly sometimes when I stand up too fast, you know? Maybe it's low blood sugar, which is why I want one of those cookies.
Robin: Do you have the same issue when you try and sit down?
Mike: No, I don't have issues. I mean, I had a long ride up here, and I got a favorite chair that I'm missing in Brooklyn, but --
Robin: I'm sorry, just occupational hazard of being a doctor, which is also why I have to ask when your last checkup was, which is?
Mike: This is your doing, okay, all right? Everybody's taking my temperature and waiting for me to screw up.
Robin: No, no, no. Mike, no, no, no. Sonny didn't say anything to me.
Carly: Yeah, no one thinks you're a screw-up. Sonny's just worried about you.
Mike: Well, you know, you can stop worrying, okay? I kept my nose clean, and I had things under control until you showed up.
Sonny: Your business is my business, Mike. We're family.
Mike: God, some families just do better apart. You know, and I -- I'm gonna grab my -- my bag and take the next bus to Brooklyn.
Sonny: No, you're not, Mike! You're not going anywhere!
Liz: We just came from the school. Jake won first prize in the art contest, so we're here to celebrate.
Jason: That's a great trophy. Congratulations, Jake.
Jake: I couldn't have done it without Franco's help.
Franco: No way, dude. That was all you.
Jason: It sounds like you earned at least two cupcakes. Enjoy your celebration.
Jake: Are you coming to the wedding?
Mike: Well, what are you gonna do to stop me, huh? Flex your muscles? Or get one of your guys to do it for you?
Robin: Wow, all this because I asked about a dizzy spell?
Carly: Good to see things never change. Mike and Sonny can still push each other's buttons.
Robin: Well, I am sorry that I got you guys going. But look, I think you look great, Mike. It's just sometimes I'm overprotective about the people I care about.
Mike: Oh, honey, I -- [Stammers] It's just -- just that there's nothing wrong with me, you know? Nothing but some aches and pains to go along with collecting a social security check. [Cellphone rings]
Mike: Oh! [Sighs] Hey. Hey, doll. Yeah, no, no, we're here. We -- we made good time. I'm fine. Every-- everything's fine. Yeah, it would be good for me to stay for a few days. But I'll be back on Saturday, okay? Maybe we'll go dancing. Yeah, okay, all right. Love you.
Nelle: You never told me you bought the building.
Michael: It seemed like a good investment.
Nelle: And now what? Now it doesn't?
Michael: Look, I think it'll be good for the child if we set some clear boundaries.
Nelle: Message received. I hope you don't end up taking a loss on your investment.
Michael: Look, I don't mean to make things harder for you, especially with the baby.
Nelle: No, you know, Michael, I get it. You bailed me out before when I was gonna lose my lease. I had nowhere else to go. I appreciated it then, and I appreciate it now. So we are all good. No worries.
Michael: Thank you.
Michael: I just want you to know I'm not gonna sell the building to anyone who wants to turn it into condos or hike up the rent prices.
Nelle: I'm sure you'll do the right thing. Thank you for coming by and telling me in person. Uh, do you still want to do the childbirth classes, or shall I find another partner?
Michael: Of course I want to take those classes with you, Nelle. I wouldn't miss it. Okay? I got to go. Bye, Nelle.
Ava: Nicely handled.
Nelle: At least I still have a place to live, right? [Sniffles]
Ava: And Michael and his family still get to be with Avery, and I don't. I guess we're supposed to be happy with crumbs.
Nelle: No, no, no, I'm done with crumbs. All right? I grew up with them. I'm done. This is just a momentary setback. It's not over, okay? My goals are still on track.
Kim: I'd like to take the credit for how well Oscar's turned out. But a lot of the credit belongs to Oscar himself. He's just a great kid. He always has been. He is --
Drew: Thank you.
Kim: You're welcome. He's thoughtful, you know, and he's perceptive.
Drew: Well, clearly, he got your brains and heart. Outside of DNA [Chuckles] I can't take much credit. But I do appreciate what you did earlier, calling me his father.
Kim: That's what you are.
Kim: Hmm. And It's gonna take a little getting used to. You know, my sharing him with you and allowing the two of you to have your own relationship. You know It's just been the two of us for all of these years. But you're here now, and that's good... for Oscar.
Drew: I'll do my best for him.
Kim: I know you will. I just sometimes still think of him as this little baby boy I'm raising.
Drew: I think you should be proud because that little boy is growing up to be a fine young man. And he stood up for his friend against a bunch of bullies. That takes guts. And, yeah, I might have spent an afternoon teaching him how to punch/counterpunch, but you spent his entire life teaching him to stand up for what's right, so.
Kim: Thank you. But you know that willingness to jump in and confront the bully? That he gets from you, 100%. It reminds me, oh, my God, this time back wh--
Kim: No, no.
Drew: What? What?
Kim: It just reminds me of a time, you know, one night a long time ago when we were together.
Jason: I'm sorry, Jake. I can't make it to the wedding.
Jake: Did I say something wrong?
Liz: No, oh, no, not at all. It was really nice of you to include Jason.
Jason: I can't make it to the wedding, but I found a new place to live. Maybe you could visit sometime.
Liz: Yeah, maybe sometime. It is Valentine's Day, I bet you those cupcakes are gonna go fast.
Jake: Yeah, let's get over there.
Franco: You know, when Elizabeth and I are married, I will be his stepfather, and you can hate me all you like, but please don't put Jake in the middle.
Jason: Jake's too young to understand what you are.
Franco: You're right. He doesn't understand that I had a brain tumor. He does not understand what caused my behavior. You don't seem to understand, either. How about you? Do you have brain damage? Is that why you're a stone-cold killer? And how about all those years you were doped up? What surprises are gonna pop up about that time you spent in a Russian clinic? If you ask me, Sam should be way more afraid of you than she is of me.
Jason: You did what you did. And you never paid. But you will.
Nelle: Carly wants to keep me out of Michael's life, and I don't put it past her to try to take my baby away from me just like she and Sonny took Avery away from you.
Ava: Well, I'm sorry to tell you, she's probably already working on that.
Nelle: Okay, then I need to protect myself. I got to think of the long game here.
Ava: That could be tough, though. You know, I mean, being pregnant, it can be very emotional, make you very vulnerable.
Nelle: If Michael wants to put distance between us, that's fine. That's fine. I'll give him his space, let him think we're going our separate ways, and then Carly will be thrilled, I'm sure.
Ava: [Laughs] You got that right. So then what? I mean, you lull them both into a false sense of security, and then what's next?
Nelle: I let Michael come to me.
Ava: Well, you had me up until now. But, no, I think -- I think you're gonna need a different plan.
Nelle: Michael's gonna need a friend soon, someone to lean on.
Ava: And it's your shoulder you're gonna offer him to cry on?
Nelle: Yeah, well, my shoulder is sympathetic, and it's attached to the mother of his child.
Carly: Thank you so much for picking her up. Turns out, I was needed here more than I realized.
Michael: Why, what's going on? Come see for yourself.
Michael: Hey! Jason said I missed you at Kelly's. I'm glad I ran into you.
Robin: Likewise. I still can't get over how tall you are.
Michael: Oh, yeah, Jason was saying the same thing. Talking about how you used to hold me as a baby and all that.
Michael: Hey, Grandpa.
Mike: Hey. Get over here and give me a hug. Unless you're too old for that.
Michael: Oh, no, never.
Mike: [Laughs] Hey.
Michael: Dad said that he was going to Brooklyn. He didn't tell me he was bringing you back.
Mike: Well, yeah, it was a surprise to me, too. [Laughs] Listen, you look great. You know, a CEO, huh, with an expense account and a plane?
Michael: Yeah, and a large tax bill and a lot of stress. Don't believe all the hype.
Mike: Oh, well, let me try it out, and then I'll let you know.
Carly and Mike: [Laughs]
Mike: And who is this sweetie?
Mike: Is this yours?
Sonny: Mike, I told you that Michael is the one expecting a child.
Mike: Oh, right, right, I knew that. [Chuckles] So, who do you belong to, sweetie?
Carly: Sonny. This is Avery. She's your granddaughter.
Mike: Yes, I knew that, too. Hi, Avery. I'm your grandpa. Nice to meet you.
Liz: Why don't you boys take these to the car? Um, I'll -- just give me a minute. What just happened between you and Franco?
Jason: That's between us.
Liz: [Scoffs] Jason, we're getting married. What concerns him concerns me. He's my family. Didn't you hear Jake? He's excited about the wedding. He even wanted to include you. Doesn't that mean something?
Jason: Of course. It means a lot to me that Jake wanted me there, but I just -- I can't.
Liz: You can't... watch me marry Franco?
Jason: It's your life, Elizabeth. It's your choice. But if I went -- [Sighs] It's just the same as lying to Jake, letting him know that it's okay when... it's not.
Liz: You know Jake loves him. That art prize he won? That's because Franco inspired him. He's teaching him how to be an artist. He's done so much more. He has been there for him time and time again.
Jason: And that all may be true, but Jake doesn't know Franco like I do. And hopefully, he never will.
Drew: So, Oscar standing up to this bully, this reminded you of something that happened with me? What was it?
Kim: Okay, so we had made plans to meet at, oh, just a bar near the base, and I showed up early before you, and there was this guy there. And he was hitting on me. He wouldn't take no for an answer. And so he put his hand on my shoulder, and when I pulled away, he just -- he tore the strap on my dress.
Drew: Wow. Uh... bar? No, come on, what happened? Tell me.
Ava: All I can say is that I hope your confidence is backed up by one hell of a plan. You know, I've tried to kick Carly to the curb a few times myself.
Nelle: My approach is going to be much more subtle. She's not gonna see it coming. But that's all I'm gonna say about it right now.
Ava: Oh. That's fine. I'm all for plausible deniability. Just don't forget that I have a stake in this, too. Or was your plan to help me get Avery back just talk?
Nelle: I told you. I got you, Ava. Carly's going to get a very special valentine today. One she's not gonna forget.[Cellphone rings]
Ava: It's Griffin. I'll be right back. Hey!
Sonny: Thanks for stopping by. Always great to see you.
Robin: Of course. You know I couldn't come to Port Charles without seeing you, and I got to see Mike, too.
Sonny: You were -- you were great with him.
Robin: Well, I have a little bit of experience with strong-willed parents. But in all seriousness, you may want to take him in to get a check-up. You know, just to be on the safe side.
Sonny: Yeah, yeah, I know.
Robin: Yeah, and what about you? When's the last time you had a check-up?
Sonny: Probably the last time I got shot.
Robin: Okay, well, next time you're due for one, just omit the first part, all right?
Sonny: All right. Safe travels.
Robin: Good to see you.
Sonny: Good to see you. [Sighs]
Carly: Is this the Valentines you made at school for your daddy?
Carly: Can you give it to him now? Go ahead.
Avery: Here, Daddy.
Sonny: Is that for me?
Sonny: What is -- aww!
Sonny: This has to be the most beautiful Valentine's gift. I'm a lucky man. Can you give me a kiss? Thank you, baby. Wow.
Kim: You know, I feel strange telling you this. I shouldn't have mentioned it.
Drew: Wait, why do you feel strange? Did something happen? Did I kill somebody or something?
Kim: No! No, no, no, no. Drew, it's nothing like that. It's just that -- the guy, he tore my strap on my dress, and then, boom, it was like you were there immediately. It was actually kind of funny. You gently pushed me aside, and you turned on him like an avenging angel.
Drew: So that's it? I just squared off with a guy at a bar?
Kim: Yeah, yeah, that's it.
Drew: Did I win?
Kim: [Laughs] Yes. You always won.
Liz: I keep telling you this, but he's changed. Everyone knows this. They don't have to like him, but yet we've all learned how to co-exist together, and that includes Michael and Sam. They've moved on. Maybe you should do the same.
Jake: Mom, come on, we're waiting.
Franco: Hold on one second. I'm really sorry. I thought you guys were done.
Liz: We are in a minute. I'll be there in a minute, okay?
Liz: My family's waiting for me. My future. Maybe you should think about starting a future of your own. Jason, things change. People change. And I say this with love. Just let it all go. Happy Valentine's Day.
On the next "General Hospital" --
Curtis (to Jordan): You really don't know what today is?
Amy (to Griffin): Who's the lucky lady? Please say someone besides Ava Jerome.
Kiki (to Damian): Everything is great, now that you're here.
Ava (to Nelle): You're not giving up already, are you?
Sam (to Drew): Did you remember something?
Danny (to Jason): I want Mommy.
Carly (to Sonny): I'm choosing to leave him, so should you.
