[Indistinct conversations]

Dante, we need to speak with you. I got nothing to say to you, Ava. Hey, it's important, detective. There are two men here that are potential threats. Mm. Okay, okay, okay. Stop it. Enough. Anna and Finn will be here any minute, and I don't want them to see my lipstick all smudged. Well, you know what? You are beautiful. Mwah! [Laughs] And I wouldn't worry about it because I bet they won't show. Well, of course they will. I told Anna that we needed to kick the tires of her new relationship. And you think that was incentive? Yeah. And I made it very clear that we were going to hold on to Finn's takeout order until he answered a few questions. [Chuckles] Wow, you really play dirty. [Chuckles] But you know what? I think it's a little too early to hold a man's food supply hostage. I don't think this thing with Finn is gonna last. Well -- well, why do you say that? Because Anna -- Anna is too much for him, okay? She's a committed agent. She's completely dedicated to her job. Well, I hear that Finn is equally committed to medicine and research. Yeah, well, Anna also likes to let it go, cut loose. Finn? [Scoffs] The guy is way too uptight. No, he'll never be able to keep up with her. Mm. [Giggles] Did you have to wear a tie? You don't like my tie now? Oh, the tie's fine. I was at work. Oh, I'm sorry. My usual "I'm going out to lie to somebody's friends" outfit was at the -- at the dry cleaner. They're more than my friends. You know, they're -- they're family. I don't like deceiving them anymore than you do. Anything in the name of justice, right? Just stick to the truth as much as possible. It's the best way to make a lie convincing. Even a lie that we're a couple? It's a stretch for me, too, you know. But we have to put on a show because Cassandra believes that we're in a relationship, so we're going to have to be in a relationship until such time as she drops her guard, and I can bust her for drug trafficking. [Sighs] Finally. Oh, I'm right on time. It's too cold near the water. We should have met somewhere indoors. Then let's get this over with. The cavalry has arrived. There was a kernel of truth in Betsy frank's lies. Jason's twin brother never made it to adulthood. He died when he was a child. That death certificate proves it. Why did you leave the Quartermaines all those years? Come on, you know why. Remind me. They thought I was damaged. They wanted to control me, make my decisions for me. Isn't that what you're doing to Sam? [Indistinct conversations] You sure these are the same guys? Completely. I spoke to both of them in St. Petersburg, Russia. They were looking for a man who may have ties to Jason Morgan. Okay, you two stay here. Don't do anything obvious. Turn your backs to them. Pretend like you're having a good time, okay? Ava: Okay. Hey.

Dante: Hey. So, uh, I think we have a problem. Griffin's ID'd the two bartenders as possible gunmen. He saw them in St. Petersburg, Russia, two weeks ago. They're going after someone associated with you. You know anything about that? Possibly. But we don't have time to get into that right now. It's a packed room. We don't want everyone panicking. You take the big guy with the beard, tell him he's doing a bad job tending drinks, and get him out of here. I'll take care of the ponytail. How do you want to do that? Well, flash my badge, ask for his license. Good work. Let's get it. All right. Greg! We're blown! Down! Everybody down!

[All screaming]

Police! Drop it! Drop it! Drop it!

[All screaming]

Drop the gun! Or someone dies.

[Gun clatters]

Kick it over.

[Gun slides on floor]

Down on the floor. You heard him! Everybody down on the floor now!

[All screaming]

[Woman crying]

I've got to go get help. What? Are you kidding? Don't. If you leave, they're going to shoot you. Oh, my god.

Nobody move!

[All screaming]

Everybody down! Right where you are! I'm at the Metro Court restaurant. There are two men here with guns --

Anderson: Bye now. Someone's dialed 911. Thank you. Phone time is over. While the cops figure out what the hell to do, we're all gonna settle in and wait. No, no, no. No, no, no! No, no, no, no. No. Mrs. Morgan! No, no. This is your party. Act like a hostess. Collect all the cell phones. No! Or I'll take your husband's -- no! Okay, okay! Okay. You got it. Okay. Cell phones, please. Okay. I got it. Cell phone. It's gonna shock her whenever it happens. [Sighs] Go to her tonight. She's at some -- some party for the media company. When it ends, she's gonna go home. You'll be waiting for her. It's -- it's gonna blow her life apart. I don't want to do that. Why would I want to hurt her? She deserves the truth, Jason. For that matter, so does he. The guy thinks he's Jason Morgan. Probably has a whole other life out there. [Cell phone beeps] Oh, god. It's Carly. She's in trouble. How bad? All she left was 911. Is she at the metro court? The launch party. Let's go. Get your gun. You went looking for Andréw's death certificate. Granted, inserting myself into a patient's life is ethically murky, but I felt the potential for reward outweighed the risk. I don't believe it. I mean, I -- I scoured the internet looking for this. And when I couldn't find it, I was convinced it was because Andréw wasn't even really dead. But no, you couldn't find it because you were looking for Andréw frank, but look. This was filed under Andréw and Jason's biological mother's surname. Susan Moore. Okay, so all I had to do to put this whole thing to rest was search for Andréw Moore? Look, I understand why you couldn't see the forest for the trees, given the depth of Betsy's lies. But now, you know the truth. And you can let it go. So tell me, I've been so curious to know how the two of you went from being acquaintances to friends to more than friends.

It was certainly unexpected. Oh, come on, honey, we're -- we're all friends here. I think they'd like a little bit of the history, you know? I mean, I, for one, was completely caught off guard when you told me you had your eye on me for a while. And the way she pursued me, like a -- like a tiger in the Serengeti, t that right, sweetheart? [Laughs] Yeah, yeah. I really did make the first move, didn't I? Mm-hmm. But who could refuse you? Isn't that right, Finn? I know I couldn't. [Laughs] I heard you were with someone else. I was. Things changed. Yeah, the timing wasn't great. In a way, Anna had to drag me, kicking and screaming, into this. But now he's come around. He can't get enough of me. [Laughs] That's -- that's right. Of course, everyone has their limits. May you never find them. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. [Glasses clinking] Mm-hmm. I'm glad you came to your senses. I will never leave you high and dry. What's this? It's all the assistance you're gonna require for your north American expansion. Those are good people. They're highly qualified, and I've vetted each and every one of them myself. They're available. I asked you to come onboard, not be my headhunter. You're not going to be disappointed. I have vetted each one of them myself. No finesse. Poor judgment. Washed up. Never heard of him. None of those people are up to the task. None of them have your expertise, your imagination, your drive, or skills. And none of them have committed so many breathtakingly lucrative, illegal acts and gotten away with them. I want the best, Valentin, and only you will do.

Uh, well, enough about us. How did you two meet? That's a long story, right? But it had a happy ending. As will yours. If you two can find time for each other. I mean, a doctor's schedule is hard to navigate, and a WSB agent's work is never done. We make do. And when you do make do, what do you do? What? Excuse me? Well, I know that Anna likes to see the world. Do you travel? Not if I can help it. Eli love fan? I -- I don't know what that is. You must dance. [Laughs] No. Not much in common, huh? Opposites often attract. Yes, I am fascinated by Finn's take on things. Yeah. But two people do need something they can share. I mean, if not a hobby, at least one common interest. We share a desire to end suffering. A belief that good people have a responsibility to act against injustice, and we think that the biggest crime is apathy. Finn cares, you know. He found the cure for Blackwood's syndrome. He makes sure that his serum is available around the world, and I think that makes him a hero. So what if he can't foxtrot, right? That's great. Right, Mac? How about another round of drinks? Yeah, sure. I -- I'll just have a club soda, thanks. Anna? Scotch.

Rocks. Comin' right up! How do you know how I like my scotch? You ordered it in the casino. Oh, you've been paying attention. So have you. [Sighs] I'm flattered by your assessment, but as I've explained before... yes, you can't. You're a family man. You're settled down. You won't risk tarnishing your pretty little life. I heard it all the first time. And yet, you persist. The fault is mine. I failed to adequately communicate your position. I shouldn't have presented this situation as an offer. You actually have no say in the matter. I cannot just let this go. Why not? Because I can't. I can't just drop this. My mother has lied to me over and over again. First she told me that Andréw was imaginary, then she told me that Andréw was dead, and then she told me that she had to send Andréw away to protect him because she thought that I was going to hurt him. And the last thing she told me was that she dropped Andréw off at a foundling hospital very much alive. Only now I'm supposed to believe that he died after all? You don't have to believe anything that Betsy told you. As you said, she's lied to you your entire life. But you can believe the physical evidence in your hands. My mother loves me, and if she... didn't want me to know that Andréw was dead, there has to be a reason. Maybe I caused it. Maybe me pushing him down the stairs is what killed him. Maybe that part is true. Check again. The cause of death is listed. Heart failure. You see, Franco, Andréw's not gone because of you. He's just gone.

[Police radio chatter]

There's no cops on the east corridor. I'm gonna use those stairs. Wait to hear from me. If I can. Hey, hey! You can't go up there. My wife's up there. There's an active shooter up there, now get back.

[Police radio chatter]

Yeah. My squad's prepared to go in. Sir, you gotta get out! I'm at the hotel. There's police everywhere. Something's gone wrong.

Dr. Klein: You're my failsafe. Get the woman and get out. Done.

Nina: I'm telling you right now, if you pass out, I have no idea what to do. Okay. Just, uh -- just keep pressure on it.

[All gasp]

[Both grunting]

Back off or she dies!

[Man grunting]

[Siren wails in distance]

Greg: Freeze.

[All screaming, whimpering]

On the ground and stay there! Anybody moves, and she dies.

Dante: Just take it easy. Shut up! Man -- come on, Blondie, we're leaving! No, you're not!

Carly: Sonny. That's my wife! You hurt her, I'm gonna kill you. Today, in a month, in a day, it doesn't really matter. I have a long reach, and I'll find you. So what are you gonna do? You want to be dead? Or are you gonna put that gun down, get on your knees, and ask for a lawyer? Now!

[Gun clatters]

He's all yours.

Dante: On your stomach. [Grunts] [Exhales sharply] God, where the hell have you been? You're not gonna believe me when I tell you. [Siren wails in distance] [Pool balls clack] So, Mac. How'd you get into the pig business? Is that some kind of a joke? You do know that I used to be a cop, right? Oh, no, I didn't. I didn't know that. It's an old joke what did one farmer say to the other farmer? I meant no offense. Do you know how much Anna means to me? That I am honor bound to step in if I even think she's being played? I'm not doing that. I'm not doing that. Technically, she's my ex-sister-in-law. But she may as well be my sister. I raised her daughter. I-I -- Anna told me. I -- she thinks the world of you. Oh, really? You two have a lot of conversations about me? She's English. She's discreet. Nonetheless, she's made it pretty clear. You're her hero. Well, one of 'em, anyway. We'll do a full debrief when Finn isn't floating around, but for the time being, I'm going to give him a solid B. B? That's all? Well, he's a bit of a fixer-upper. [Laughs] You can't date somebody who doesn't dance. He's gonna have to take dance lessons. Well, you know, I mean... it's probably not gonna last long enough to matter. What kind of attitude is that? Just being realistic, you know. Men come and go, right? I know your world-weary veneer masks the heart of full-blown romantic. No. I'm just managing my expectations. You know, um... I haven't had all that much luck with men lately, right? Well, that's because you've been so fixated on Valentin. But now that he's out of your sights, you can get back on track. Put your misfires behind you and open up your heart again. Give this chance with Finn everything you've got. I've politely welcomed you to my city. Oh, how the mighty have fallen. I've patiently explained why I cannot join your operation, and I've been generous enough to find you several people who can. I've been a friend to you. Oh, and I have been a friend to you. You're threatening me. If I wasn't your friend, I might have already acted. On what? On this.

Dante: Put them in separate interrogation rooms, notify the commissioner, get some more police officers up here to take some statements. You can take this garbage out of here.

Griffin: It doesn't appear to be serious, but we need you to get to the ER to make sure. You know what? I'm gonna take her myself. Do you mind? Is that okay? No, no, please. I'm gonna check on your mom. You sure? Yes, go. Okay, I'm taking her. No, no, it's okay. Let him take you. Jake would never forgive me if I let you sit here, bleeding. You ready? Yeah, yeah. One, two, three. Aah! Come on, come on. I got you. Ohh. Hey, are you okay? Oh. [Laughs] Well, it was a little more excitement than I bargained for. But I'm fine. I'm so sorry. Why? Why are you apologizing? You didn't invite those lunatics to terrorize the party. I'm gonna stay and do some damage control. I don't think the night's over yet. All right, well, you hang in there. Okay. All right. Thank you. Greg and Anderson were arrested. The woman is still here. I'll be in touch. Nice of you to show up. What do you know about these gunmen? Next to nothing. We brought on extra staff for the event. We used the same temp agency we always use. They came with reference, recommendations. Well, they obviously forged all this information, right? Who are they? What the hell do they want? Griffin said he recognized them from St. Petersburg, Russia, and that they were chasing someone associated with Jason. Do you have any idea what he's talking about? No, none whatsoever. Okay. Hey, do you need a water? Don't struggle. No sudden movements. [Breathing shallowly]

We're leaving.

[Bottle drops]

[Glass shatters]

[All screaming]

Oh, my god!

[Glass shattering]

[All screaming]

[All screaming]

Woman: [Screams]

[All murmuring]

Where did you get this?

Cassandra: Well, it just fell into my lap. Whose lap it falls into next depends on you. Cassandra, why would I care about this? Denial doesn't look very good on you, darling. But don't worry. I will make sure that no one sees that photo. All I ask in return is that you put your talents to work in an enterprise that will turn a healthy profit for the both of us.

[Cell phone rings]

Ignore that.

[Cell phone rings]

It's my wife. Nina. Valentin. My god, what's going on? Hey, can you pick me up? Um, I'm at the metro court. The -- the police might not let you up, and they may make you wait in the lobby. The police? What's happening? J--just come, please. You should come by next week. We'll watch a game together. Yeah, I'd like that.

[Cell phone beeps]

Oh, excuse me. Oh, I'm -- I'm sorry. I need to go. There's something going on at the hospital. Seriously.

Felicia: That's too bad. We were having such a good time. That's okay, uh, you know. You can't escape us, now that Finn's dating Anna.

Felicia: [Laughs] Right. Well, thank you again for the club soda, and, um, I guess I'll see you later. Yeah. Text me, uh, when you're done. That's right. What? No kiss good-bye? Oh, come on, Felicia. They're not trained seals.

Felicia: Well, I mean, I just didn't want them to feel, you know, like they were holding back on our account. Enjoy the rest of your evening.

Anna: Mm-hmm.

[Elevator bell dings]

Let's make another appointment, continue talking about this. There's a lot left to process. Andréw's death, your mother's behavior, your relationship with her moving forward. I always thought that I understood my mom. I always thought that, no matter what she did, she was doing it to protect me. And now, I don't know. Why does she keep changing her story? Is she crazy? That isn't a term that I like to use. And I'm not comfortable making a diagnosis for someone I've never met. She's crazy. She's loved you since birth. But due to circumstances, she couldn't legally adopt you. Part of her must have always feared that you'd be taken away from her. Yeah, she did say that. And the psychic damage is clearly still reverberating. Unfortunately, the effects aren't limited to her. You're feeling them, too. Which is why I must advise you to stay away from Betsy for now. No, I need to talk to her about this. She'll only spin a new story. Regardless of her intentions, Betsy's done you no favors. Better to cease contact, stop her planting doubts about what's real and what isn't. You've got enough anxiety as it is, Franco. Yeah. [Laughs]

Griffin: Deanna, I got a gunshot wound. I need two lines in her and a bag of o-negative stat. Yes, doctor. We gotta get her to an exam room.

Man: Where, where, where?! So, you did see the man come through the skylight, right? It all just happened so fast. I barely -- I barely got a glimpse of him. I mean, when he burst in, I could -- could you identify the man? No. No. [Laughs] It's just impossible. Excuse me.

Dante: [Speaking indistinctly] What the hell's going on? That man -- Sonny. We're gonna get into that later. Our first priority is to find Sam.

Dante: [Sighs] What do you got? Well, we're gonna check the building. I think he took off with Sam. He's not here anymore, but I need to check your security footage. Okay. All right. What's going on? Can someone tell me what's going on? What -- who is the guy who came through the skylight?

Monica: Ask Sonny.

That man that burst through the skylight, he looks like -- you know him, don't you? We all saw the same thing, Monica. I got the same questions you do. No, that's not good enough, Sonny. You're hiding something. What -- Dante. The security people have the footage ready in my office. You can watch it there. Great, thank you. You're with me. Let's go. Okay.

No, you have to go.

Carly, come on.

Dante: Okay, it can wait. I'm gonna tell you all about it, I promise you, okay? Let's go. Sonny knows something. He usually does, but right now, we have more important things to deal with. Well, like what? Like Jason took Elizabeth to the hospital before Sam was taken. Someone has to tell him. -How is she? -Is she okay? Elizabeth is gonna be fine. Once I was able to do a complete examination, I discovered that her injury looked worse than it was. She lost a lot of blood. Transfusions will get her numbers back up, but ultimately, it's just a flesh wound. She's gonna be okay? She's gonna make a full recovery. Good. She shouldn't have to. How does somebody get a flesh wound at a corporate party, Jason? Does this have something to do with you? Two gunmen crashed the party. They were dressed as bartenders. One got off a shot, and unfortunately, it hit Elizabeth. So she was shot because of you? Yeah, it wasn't like that, Franco. To hell with both of you. It's okay. It's okay. Thank you for taking care of her. It's a good thing you were there. Yeah. Why were you there? Why was Ava? I'm at the hospital. I just heard that Elizabeth Webber was shot at the party Jason Morgan and his wife were throwing at the metro court. So what? Does this have anything to do with Patient 6? Look, you want him handled, he's being handled. [Sighs]

[Footsteps in distance]

Dr. Klein: What the hell happened? 6. He's better than I thought. Do I have to look at the security footage? Or can you just tell me what's going on? You heard what I told Monica, right? Okay, my guy tells me you came in the lobby with someone else, but then you got in the elevator by yourself. So, is he gonna tell me that the guy who came through the skylight was your friend from the lobby? I don't know what your guy's gonna say. Why are you playing games with me? Why? [Laughs] Why? When the guy came in through the skylight, you're the only one who wasn't shocked to see him. I mean, who the hell was he? I know who he looked like to me. You're wasting your time. It sure looked like the guy that you -- you're wasting your time questioning me. We should find Sam. I was halfway through the exit when 6 broke through the skylight. If there hadn't been a dozen people blocking his way, he would have caught me. This is what I wanted. We got the leverage, and already flushed 6 out of hiding. But Greg and Anderson are both in police custody. Okay, they're contractors, not true believers. Now, they'll hold out for a deal, and then they'll tell them everything they know. We'll be gone before police pick up our trail. 6 will come for her, and when he does, my client will get their asset back.

Patient 6: Let her go! You have one chance to live. You let her go and walk away.

[Needle buzzing]

Oh, sorry that the evening had to end so abruptly. No. It doesn't have to end right now. Finn's early exit means we can do the post mortem right now. [Chuckles] Yes. I think I already know your assessment. Well, he seemed like a nice enough guy. Excuse me? Excuse me? Seriously? Seriously? What? Well, you were just so kind of rough on him. I don't know what the word is. Hostile. Yeah. I do set a very high bar when it comes to anyone interested in you. And he cleared it in an hour? He's not the kind of guy I would expect for you. I mean, he doesn't have that devil-may-care, derring-do kind of thing. But tonight, I saw he was a good guy, and he cares about you. You could do worse. You hear that, Anna? We think he's a keeper. My god. [Exhales sharply] Oh, my god. What happened? Uh, uh -- Elizabeth was shot, and Sam was kidnapped. My god, are you hurt? No, I just -- this is -- this is -- this is Elizabeth's blood. I was trying to stop the bleeding. Where's Elizabeth now? She's -- she's at the hospital. Jason took her to the hospital, and griffin said she'd be okay. [Crying] But I was trying to stop the bleeding. I was trying to help her. Oh, thank god you're not hurt. I just want to go home. Okay. I'm sorry. I'm sorry it took me so long. [Normal voice] What kept you? I've made a new acquaintance. A very talkative one. Nothing. It's all taken care of.

Finn: This is good, Elizabeth. Once we replace the blood that you've lost, you're gonna be just fine. She's gonna be fine? Yes. No vital organs were affected. She just needs to rest. So, please, make it brief. [Monitor beeping] You know I hate parties, right? I'm really sorry. I should have sucked it up. I should have gone to the party. Oh, please, there will be other parties. Promise? Yes. I'll go check on your boys, make sure your grandma's okay. Thank you. And then come back. You and Ava burst in just after all hell broke loose. Oh, Jason? Can I talk to you? Yeah, sure. Thank you. So what did you tell Jason? About Patient 6? Nothing. I mean, what -- what could I say? I had other things on my mind. Like what? Like the moment the shooting started, how I had to make sure you were safe. What I'd do if you weren't. Look, I realized I don't want to find out. Well, you got the footage to look at, so why don't you go ahead? You know, and we'll find Sam. You know what? This is police business, anyway, so... why don't you stay out of it?

[Police radio chatter]

Carly: We're alone now. What the hell's going on? Who was that man? How is Elizabeth? She's gonna be okay. What's going on? Well, when you and griffin left the hotel with Elizabeth... okay, what? Something else happened. Those men that shot Elizabeth, they weren't alone. Whatever is going on, Jason, it isn't over. I don't -- I don't care what happens to you. Just let her go and walk away. I'm out of this. I don't want any trouble.

Last chance. Let her go. Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. You can't shoot me. You'll hit her. No, I won't. You can kill me or save her. Not both! Sam!

On the next "General Hospital" --

Ava (to Griffin): Our friend from Russia comes crashing through the skylight...

Josslyn (to Oscar): Why don't you want me to meet your mom?

André (on phone): Why are you calling me?

Monica (to Elizabeth): Some lunatic abducted Sam.

Jordan (to Jason - Billy Miller): Where are you going?

Jason: I'm going to find my wife!

Carly (to Sonny): Whoever this guy is, he's not Jason!

(Jason - Steve Burton - jumps into the harbor)
