(This still needs extensive editing)
Nelle: Hey. Is the car waiting? If so, I just need a few more minutes, and then we can leave, okay?
Michael: We're not going to the city tonight, Nelle. We're not going anywhere.
Nelle: What? What-- why not?
Molly: Wow! Sam and Jason really went all out.
Alexis: From what I hear, it was Carly and Olivia.
Molly: Oh. Well, it was worth it. This place looks amazing.
Alexis: Yeah. Uh, I'm sorry TJ couldn't be here.
Molly: No, that's okay. He's finalizing his medical application. Plus, now that Sam and Jason are media moguls, I'm sure there that we will have plenty more galas to attend.
Alexis: Yeah, I wouldn't count on that. A doctor's work is never done, you know. Case in point, David was supposed to be here. He got waylaid at the hospital.
Molly: I'm sure he will find some way to make it up to you.
Molly: Hey. I'm really glad you're seeing him.
Alexis: I'm not seeing him. We're friends.
Alexis: I enjoy the company, actually.
Molly: Well, I'm really glad you're ready to put Julian behind you. Mom. Hey. Julian is going to be in prison for a long time, okay?
Alexis: Okay. Okay, okay.
Molly: Just because his life is on hold doesn't mean yours has to be.
Alexis: I'm doing the best I can, all right? Right now, I am here for my daughter.
Molly: I know. I'm so excited for Sam!
Alexis: It's too bad Kristina couldn't be here 'cause she's all the way across the country. She would have really enjoyed Sam's big night. Mom. No drama tonight, okay? We're just gonna have fun. Mm-hmm.
Wow. Uh... you look beautiful. No surprise there. Not bad for a little locker-room hair and makeup. You sure I can't convince you to go with me? I'm pretty sure Jason and Sam are both gonna be really happy to not see me. Are you sure that's the real reason you don't want to go with me? Patient 6 was never supposed to make it back to Port Charles. I've been blamed for his escape, but in all fairness, our employer neglected to brief me about the extent of his skill set! The longer he's here, the more likely that someone will find out the truth... and my part in it. Don't worry, dr. Maddox. He's being taken care of as we speak. I met Patient 6 for five minutes. He was on the run from -- from two very menacing-looking guys that were trying to find him. That could be a problem for him. That could be a problem for anybody that gets in his way. Including Avery's dad. And why would I care about that? Because you're better than you know. Look, I-I think, for everybody's sake, we should call the police. [Clicks tongue] And tell them what? We don't have any proof of anything. We don't even know what's going on. What -- what would we say? We can tell them what we do know. That there is a man in Port Charles that looks like Jason Morgan before his accident, and some very dangerous people might be after him. [Sighs] Absolutely not.
[Camera shutters clicking]
Oh, well...pictures. Yeah. Yeah, don't worry. They're only gonna use the good ones. They'd better if they ever want to be published by us, right? Yeah. Wow. You okay? I'm just a little overwhelmed, that's all. Why? I don't know. It's...new. It's all starting to feel real to you? Yes, it is. Well, it should, because it is real. This is the first day of the rest of our lives. And nobody's gonna stop us.
Okay? What are you waiting for? The guests are wanting drinks. Hurry up! [Gasps] Oh. [Laughs]
Hi. My God, you look so beautiful. Thank you. You look so nice. And you clean up nice. So do you. The place looks great. Thank you. Yes. Yeah. When you told us this would be something to see, you weren't kidding. You really outdid yourself. It's so beautiful. Hey, it's a big night for both of you! Yeah. And I want it to go off without a hitch. Thank you for believing me. I was halfway there when I first saw you. And I wanted to believe, but nothing clouds your judgment more than... I-I get it. I get it. You had to detach, think it through because... I know a lot's riding on this. Yeah, there's a lot riding on this, Jason. My family, my business -- everything that matters to me. And I know that, uh... I trust you. 100%. You know that, right? Even more than Carly, 'cause her... her loyalty isn't questionable, but her judgment sucks. Not always. Now, there you go, defending her, 'cause that's what you always do. She defends me. [Laughs] I just can't believe it. You know what I mean? When she sees you... ...she's gonna lose her mind. Her Jason. Our Jason. Alive.
Is this about Jason's party? 'Cause, if so, we can just go there instead. I'm sure Nina will let me borrow a dress, and we can resell the tickets online. I know the truth about the tickets, Nelle. Nina didn't pull strings to get them for you. She didn't even know about them. What are you talking about? You haven't had those tickets for weeks. You just got them. Because you wanted me to choose between going to Jason's launch party or going to the theater with you. You really think I would buy those tickets just to manipulate you, Michael? Are you serious? [Scoffs] I bought the tickets because I heard "dear Evan Hanson" is an amazing play. The lead actor's leaving, and this is the only night I could get tickets. You know what? Forget about... the tickets for a second here. Why did you tell my mom that we're moving in together? You didn't have to go to all this trouble. Of course, I did! You guys are so important to me. And I'm so happy for the both of you. But if you really want to express your gratitude, you could tell me the new name of your company.
Oh. No way. Oh, come on! We're not saying anything until the official announcement. Hm. You heard the boss. All right, all right. Under any other circumstances, I would hold a grudge, but not tonight. Tonight, I'm just gonna say congratulations and wish you luck. Thank you. Let my team handle Patient 6. Now, you stick to your own area of expertise. It's not that simple. Jake Webber saw him. Now, I'm doing what I can to convince him it was a delusion, but Franco won't be so easily convinced. He's getting closer to the truth about Andréw! Then we'll have to give him something... to throw him off the scent. Aren't you the one who's always saying that Jason just needs to get used to the fact that we're together? Usually. Ordinarily, yeah. Then why, all of the sudden, are you so concerned with his feelings? It's his night. It's... look, if it was the art therapists of the world convention, then that would be different, but... look, even if Jason did learn to tolerate being in the same room with me, he really doesn't want me around when he's launching a big media company. Well, I realize you and Jason are never gonna be friends, but I really appreciate you guys putting aside your differences for Jake's sake. He's still a little confused when it comes to his father. I love you. I won't be out late. I promise. Okay. Then I'll wait up. Look, I-I know you have somewhat of a strained relationship with the police. [Laughs] That's a tactful way to put it. My point is, they're the people best equipped to deal with this. Although, since it started in Russia, maybe I should call Anna. No. No, you shouldn't. And let me tell you why -- think of what little we know about Patient 6. He was held in captive in that clinic in Russia. He managed to escape the clinic, right? With your help. And the last time he was seen, he -- he was barefoot, he had no ID, he had no money. No. I gave him 100 bucks. Okay, so, he was barefoot with 100 bucks. It's not enough for airfare to the US or for a fake passport. So, how did he get here? I mean, he may not even be in this country legally. And I think if we call the police, we could make trouble for this man, and he's already got trouble enough. There's so much to catch up on. I don't even know where to start. I do. So, when I was on my way to meet you at the bridge, I went through the park, and I saw Elizabeth with, uh... a little boy... about -- about 10 years old. Uh-huh. She referred to him as -- as cam's brother, but... he was too old to be... to be Aiden, you know? And I was shocked, so... so I said his name. And he said, "who's there?" That -- that was Jake... wasn't it? Yeah. [Breathes sharply] My son. My son is -- he's alive? [Breathes sharply] How? I was there. I saw -- Jake was brain-dead! No, it was staged by Helena Cassadine. What? Why?! It's a long story. Can... [Sighs] Let me get you a drink. Hell, I need a drink. [Sighs] To Jason. No matter what happens next, no matter how messy it gets... [Breathes sharply] ...Welcome home, buddy.
Michael, I honestly don't know what this is about. All right? I never told your mom we were moving in together. She's obviously just trying to start trouble with us. Mm, right, and then the fact that when you were at my office this morning, you were talking about moving in together -- that's just a coincidence, then, right? I'm sorry. I... she kept going on and on about how you bought my apartment for me, and I just didn't want to deal with it. So I said the first thing that came to my mind, you know? I-I didn't mean anything by it. Just stop. Lying. Okay. You're right. I should've been honest with you about the tickets. I did buy them so we wouldn't have to go to Jason's party. I just -- I didn't want to face your mom, Michael. You know, she's always going on and on about how I'm never gonna be good enough for you. And, you know, that's -- that is why I let her believe that we were moving in together. I didn't mean anything by it. I-I mean, I know it was wrong, but, I mean, there's no real harm done. We'll go to the party tonight, and I'll come clean. No. It's too late. The party's barely begun, Michael. Nelle, you don't have to play these games with me anymore. They don't work. Hi. Hey. Oh, kids, right? I forgot to tell Cameron to double-check his math homework. Oh. [Laughs] Well, lucky for me, Josslyn's very responsible. Sonny, on the other hand... is everything okay? Yeah. I mean, he's fine. I'm not worried about him. It's just, he's late, you know. And if he doesn't hurry, he's gonna miss the big announcement, and I know he really wanted to be here to support Sam and Jason. As far as we can tell, Helena Cassadine staged the accident to screw with Luke. She needed Jake...to "die," so she sent him to Cassadine island. Yeah, but -- but Patrick and robin were in the OR. Yeah. I don't... Jake must have been drugged, or she messed with the -- with the monitors. Jake didn't die that night. He wasn't even harmed. What -- what about Josslyn? Jax bought her a kidney and didn't tell anybody, but that's a -- that's a disaster for another time. Why don't we talk about good things? Your son is alive and well. So is Josslyn. And Helena had Jake on Cassadine island? Yeah. Sam's husband... has a connection to Helena. She had him in a clinic. Yeah. And robin helped him escape. Wait. What do you... robin Scorpio? Oh, that's right. You don't know. Why don't you take another sip? Because this -- this [Sighs] This day -- this crazy day is about to get even better. Robin is alive, too. Jason tells me that you're working together. I cannot... believe me -- cannot wait to collaborate with you guys. Good! Yeah. 'Cause we cannot wait to collaborate with you, too. Great. Like I already explained, I plan on honoring your autonomy agreement that you had with Julian. Yeah, well, creativity is one thing, but, you know, budget's another. It certainly is. Yeah, yeah. And we'll discuss that at a different time. Okay. Tonight, I am gonna celebrate with my wife. So, if you'll excuse us... mm-hmm. ...We're going this way. -Good to see you. -You, too. Do you remember how we made plans to go out? And then, after you showed up, you suggested that we order in, and it really hurt my feelings? Yes, I do. And I regret my clumsiness. I have a way you can make it up to me. You can take me to Jason and Sam's launch party. Um... I-I would gladly take you anywhere. Why there? Well, originally, I had absolutely no interest in going... mostly because it really sets my teeth on edge that my brother signed over everything he built to Sam and her husband. But it's a very important night for Jason Morgan. And since Patient 6 seems to have his old face, there's a good chance he'll be there. And even if he's not, Sonny will be. And I really want to find out what happened with that note that I gave him. So, what do you say? Are you in? Well, we survived the Russian clinic of doom, so how hard can this be? Let's go. Yeah.
Thanks for being here. Yeah, of course. Lulu wanted to be here, but she had a family thing. Yeah, it's okay. Listen, man. I just want to say, what you're doing here, this is impressive. I know the hold Sonny had on you. And I think I got a pretty good idea of what it cost you to break free of that. Put your family first. Keep them safe. That's a choice that Sonny's never made, but I'm glad that you did. Well, it wasn't much of a choice. My wife, my kids... most important thing in my life. Look at her. Oh! We're so happy for you! Thank you. Do I look like a nervous wreck? You look like a self-possessed media mogul. Ooh. I do? Because I keep smiling and mingling, and I have no idea who I'm talking to. So when Jason and I make our big announcement, I'm gonna look out in the crowd, and I'm just gonna look at your faces, okay? And we're gonna be beaming with pride. Okay. Okay, wait. Oh. I'm gonna text this to Kristina. Selfie time. Yeah. Hey, I'm sure parker will really enjoy that from her home in Eugene, Oregon. Mom. All right. And I'm happy to be celebrating with you tonight. I'm happy you're here. You know, I have to say, I am kind of surprised. I-I had no idea Jason paid attention to media or pop culture. You know what? I didn't either. But we're both learning as we go. I can't tell you how proud I am of you... both. The fact that Jason is giving up his former life. I know what that's like. And I think it's admirable. You put your family first. And I know everything is just gonna be great for you. Robin and Patrick live in Berkeley now. They had a baby last summer. Little -- little boy named Noah Robert. That's, uh -- that's good. Yeah, it's great. Listen. All that turmoil and pain and loss. And she not only survived -- she's happy. That's good for her, Sonny. She deserves to be happy. But I got to tell you. Coming back wasn't easy for her, Jason. It's not gonna be easy for you, either. You're wearing the cuff links. Yeah, my father's cuff links. Mm-hmm. I thought if I wore them tonight, they may be something like him giving me his blessing. Oh. I know Alan is smiling down on it. So, what about you? I know it's the not same as being a doctor, but maybe you could brag to your friends about your son owning a media company?
Oh, well... of course I will. But that's not important. All I've ever wanted for you is to be happy, Jason. I'm just sorry that it took me so long to learn to not control you. It's in the past. I guess... I just wanted that little boy that I remember raising. But in the last few years, you have kind of let me back into your life, and... I really treasure that. And I'm never, ever gonna let you go again. Well, good, because I wouldn't let you if you tried. [Chuckles] Thanks for coming. Oh, you're welcome.
[Camera shutters clicking]
Oh. Why don't we find a quiet corner, huh? Hey. You okay? Yeah. I think so. It's just been awhile, you know? Hey. You're beautiful. What the hell are you doing here? How did you manage to produce this? Does it matter? Once you show this to Franco Baldwin, it should end his questions. Yeah, don't be so sure. He's fixated on the subject. Borderline obsessive. And if he pursues it much further, he could find out everything.
Franco: Doc! You and I, we need to talk. Who are you?
Because, Nelle, you can't help yourself. You can't have one honest moment. Everything is calculated. Everything is for effect. Look, Michael, I should've handled this situation better, but...you have to understand why I did what I did. Carly and Bobbie want to make my life hell, okay? They want everyone to think the worst of me! You do that all by yourself! Don't say that. Look. I don't want to live my life like this. I don't think I can do this anymore. Are you breaking up with me? Franco, I'm with a patient. It's like 47 minutes after the hour. Maybe you could just tack three minutes on the next time he comes by. That's not how this works. It's quite all right, dr. Maddox. I think we had a real breakthrough today. I'll see you soon. We need to talk about Jake and this man that he says he saw at the park. I'm afraid I can neither confirm nor deny anything Jake said in his session. Elizabeth said that Jake saw a man in the park who had his father's old face. You know what that means. Andréw's still alive. You're not welcome here. It is my brother's company that's been sold. Sam and Jason are the new owners, and they have no use for you. Is Sonny here? No, he's not, okay? And don't even think about appealing to him on Ava's behalf. He respects you, father, and he will defer to you on a lot of things. But not about the woman who is responsible for Morgan's death! See yourselves out. No backing out now. [Breathes deeply] Just promise me one thing. Mm. Anything. Whether we succeed beyond our wildest dreams or fall flat on our faces, we're gonna do it together. You've got a deal. Good. I love you, too. Excuse me. It's show time. Okay. Here we go. Ladies and gentlemen, can I have your attention, please? Thank you. It is the metro court's honor to present the new owners of Derek wells media... Jason and Sam Morgan.
[Cheers and applause]
Man: Whoo! Thank you, Carly. I see a lot of friends here tonight. I'm sure you wouldn't consider public speaking my forte. [Clears throat] But sometimes life gives you an opportunity to evolve... which is why my wife and I are in front of you this evening. I also see quite a few members of the press, investors here. And I want to assure you that even though Derek wells media has changed hands, its goals remain the same -- to connect the people of the world. However, since Sam and I have taken over the company, we do want to give it a new vision. And since this is the dawn of a new day for Derek Wells Media, I'd like to announce its new name. From this day forward, the company will be known as... aurora media.
[Dramatic music plays]
Whoo! So, what do you know about Sam's husband? Turns out, not that much. No, I mean... why did you think he was me? Aside from the DNA test. Let me think. Uh, he turns up fall of 2014. He was hit by a car. He had no memory. They had to reconstruct his face. Right. He called himself Jake doe when he first came. And I got to be honest with you. I didn't like him. Carly did. And he got involved with Elizabeth. And he was with Elizabeth when Jake came home. Yeah, I overheard Jake call him "dad." Mm, yeah. They're... they're close. Very close. Anyway, listen, Carly was fixated on wanting to know who he really was. Spinelli Drew up this program to show us his face before the accident. He looked just like you. We did a DNA test. And robin confirmed that she helped "you" escape from the clinic. So then we said, "this is Jason Morgan." What? Is there any chance that, you know, he was in on it with Helena? That he's been lying this whole time?
No, I think it's best if we, um... we spent some time apart. Oh, my god. You are breaking up with me. After everything that we've been through, you're gonna end this over theater tickets?! What we have is known as "irreconcilable differences." This -- this ticket thing is just the latest example. Michael, why are you doing this? Because every single time I turn around, I-I catch you in another lie. A lie of omission. A lie of manipulation. A lie to cover yourself. You know what? But in the end, it doesn't matter, because... Nelle, there's nothing real between us! There's nothing that I can trust. Michael, I-I know that I have done some terrible things, but I didn't know I was gonna fall in love with you when I went after your parents. You've got to believe me. Nelle, Nelle, Nelle. This has nothing to do with my parents. It has everything to do with the lies you told me since the day you arrived in Port Charles... and all the lies you told me about your life before. [Sighs] Have you always been like this? I mean, how many lies did you tell the Grants? That's probably why they were suspicious of you! Wait. You don't actually think I killed my fiancé, do you?
[Cheers and applause]
So, some of you may be wondering what the new name means. I'm going to defer to its inspiration and my better half -- Sam Morgan. Yeah, yeah.
[Cheers and applause]
Thank you, honey. Mm. Um... wow. I don't know where to start. I guess... I guess it was about a year ago. Jason and I were considering leaving port Charles to find a home of our own. And along the way, we found this little town that we fell in love with, and its name was aurora. And it was no coincidence that its name meant "a new dawn." So, little did we know, we did not have to leave port Charles to find a new home... because our home was right here, with all of our friends and family and people that we cared about. So, with that said, I hope that we can have our own "aurora" every day. And I also hope that, with this new name, will not only bring a new dawn to both of us, of course, our...our company, but for all of you, as well. Thank you.
Hey. Hmm? I know that man. Wait. Who? Wait. The other one, too. They came into the church in St. Petersburg. They were looking for Patient 6. I understand why you want Andréw to be alive. But you're consumed with the idea that you're latching onto the imagination of a 10-year-old boy. Okay. Well, what am I supposed to think? I can't find a death certificate for Andréw frank. And Jake claims to see a man who looks just like his father used to look. There has to be a connection. There is. I have two people working the crowd at Jason Morgan's event, waiting for Patient 6. But we need a contingency plan. Which is why I contacted you. Sam's husband -- Jake doe, whatever you want to call him, he's not involved in Helena's plan. He didn't want to be you. He kept insisting on that. And when he finally gave in and accepted it, he did everything he could to distance himself from the life that you made. Now, I got to tell you, he did save my life a couple years ago, but he didn't want anything to do with the business. And what he wants is just to be with Sam. He wants to put her first. That's why they bought this media company -- so they can build something legitimate together. But he keeps thinking that I want to pull him back into the business. I don't want that. I don't want to fight him on that. Then he doesn't know you. No. Not like you do.
I don't believe that you killed Zach. [Sniffles] No, that's not the problem between us. The problem is, we can't have anything real without trust. I don't trust you. I can't. Uh, the super has a spare to your apartment, so... if you have any problems, just, um... call him. I can't believe you're doing this. You said you loved me. I said I-I loved the person you told me you were. I'm -- I'm not sure that person ever existed. You two have to work the room. You don't need to spend time with your family, so...
Jason: Uh-huh. We already support you 100%, and you know that. Mm-hmm.
Goodbye. Have a good evening.
I love you.
Work that room.
Get home safe.
Work that room.
Okay. [Clears throat] [Sighs] Well? Divide and conquer? Yeah, I guess so. Okay. Let's get 'em. That way, yeah. Go ahead.
[Camera shutters clicking]
Dante. We need to speak with you. I got nothing to say to you, Ava. Hey, it's important. Detective, there are two men here that are potential threats. Are you clear on the operation? Crystal. Good. Get it done. Children hear a lot more than we think they do. If Jake overheard you and Elizabeth discussing Jason's twin brother, it might've fueled his imagination. Well... I guess. But you didn't tell Elizabeth your theory about Andréw still being alive? No. Are you kidding? No! No, you told me not to! I'm following your advice. No, I -- look. I'm not gonna tell Elizabeth anything until I have proof, one way or another. What's this? The proof you're looking for. Congratulations. Thank you. Where's your date? No date. Flying solo tonight. Okay. Franco thought it was best for everyone if he just stayed away. Smart man. I really appreciate you both being civil, for Jake's sake. Look, I'm doing this for my kids. I want aurora media to be a legacy for him, too. Hey. Um, excuse me. Do you mind if I talk to him for a second? Oh, no. I'll catch up with you guys later. Okay. Okay. What's wrong? I just wanted you to know that Ava is here. What is she doing here? Um... I'm guessing that she knows that we bought Julian's company, and she's gonna want to talk to reporters so she can give a comment. Okay. Well, the last thing that we need is a public argument with Julian's sister. So let's just pretend that she's not here. Okay. You sure these are the same guys?
Griffin: Yeah, completely. I spoke to both of them in St. Petersburg, Russia. They were looking for a man who may have ties to Jason Morgan. Okay, you two stay here. Don't do anything obvious. Turn your backs to them. Pretend like you're having a good time. Okay? Okay. Hey. Hey. So, uh, I think we have a problem here. I'm gonna go tell Carly. Whoa, whoa, whoa! No, no, no! What... I got to tell her. I can't keep this from her 'cause she won't forgive me, and I don't blame her. Sonny, I-I want to see Carly. I do. But she's gonna want me to walk in and just take it all back. Then do it! It's your life! I can protect Sam without her knowing I'm here. What do-- what does that -- what are you talking about? I told you that I have people that are after me! We'll take care of the people. You go to Sam tonight, and you tell her. No, I can't just dump that on her, okay? She's married to the guy. I saw them together. She's -- she's happy. She thinks he's you! [Sighs] She's probably going through the same thing that Carly and I are going through with him. It's like she wants to connect with him, which -- which she does on a certain level, because he is a good guy and he has good intentions, but he's not you. You understand? He's not you. All the thousands of times that you've come through for us, without thinking, without questioning -- he can't do that. Not for -- not for me. Not for Carly. Not for Sam. So what you need to do is, you need to go to Sam, and you tell her that you're alive. Hey, griffin's ID'd the two bartenders as possible gunmen. He saw them in St. Petersburg, Russia, two weeks ago. They're here going after someone associated with you. You know anything about that? Possibly, but we don't have time to get into that right now. It's a packed room. We don't want everyone panicking. You take the big guy with the beard. Tell him he's doing a bad job tending drinks and get him out of here. I'll take care of the ponytail. How do you want to do that? Well...flash my badge, ask for his license. I'll tell you what. Let's get it. All right. Greg, we're blown!
Down! Everybody down!
Police! Drop it! Drop it.
On the next "General Hospital" --
Griffin (to Dante): There are two men here that are potential threats.
André (to Franco): Now you know the truth, and you can let it go.
Man: Down! Everybody down!
Mac (to Finn): I heard you were with someone else.
Cassandra (to Valentin): I want the best, and only you will do.
(Jason - Billy Miller - tackles a gunman)
Sonny (to Jason - Steve Burton): Let's go. Get your gun.
