(This still needs extensive editing)

Why don't you call me when your shift ends? I'll pick you up since your car's in the shop. You sure? My shifts are kind of weird, max. I mean, depending on what's happening, I could be here super late or super early. I can just catch a ride. No. I don't mind. Well, all right. I'm getting used to being next to you in the bed again. I might miss you. Miss you, too. Oh. Hey, man Landers. What do I do with all these women dying to meet you? Oh, come on. This isn't actually happening, is it? Man Landers, I baked these for you. Thank you for making men all over the world better lovers, partners, and husbands.

[Chuckles] You're God's gift to women. Mm. Mnh-mnh. Stop. Stop. Stop. You know I have to go. I said I was gonna get dinner like an hour ago. [Sighs] Yeah. Well, um... don't forget about dessert. [Laughs] No. I have to go. I have to go. Besides, your aunt Stella will be coming home soon. Yeah. No, she said she was gonna be gone for hours -- something about making life changes. Oh. Oh, did she say that she was maybe going back to Baltimore? Yeah? Um, either way, we got hours. I'll be quick. Mnh-mnh. You know you're never quick. All right, then. You're right. I'll be slow. [Giggles] As soon as I figured out that you'd gone to that clinic, I realized it was partly my fault. And you left hoping for some miracle treatment because of what happened between us. But I was reckless sending out mixed signals. And I should have never danced on the line like that. That's why I had to come find you. Mm. To apologize for rejecting me? I am so sorry, Ava. You sure do take that catholic guilt to a whole new level, don't you? Yes. I-I-I wanted to apologize, but that is not the only reason I came to find you. You got a minute? Uh, that depends on what you want to tell me. Uh... what if I tell you that I think you have the most beautiful face in the world? [Laughs] I would think that that's really sweet. It is. But also transparent. You're trying to charm me, which makes me nervous. So whatever it is you have to tell me... well, it could be nothing, could be a game-changer. Either way, we're about to find out.

So brick's coming by with an update on that call on my private line that I told you about. I thought you said that call came from Russia. Well, who the hell would be calling me from Russia? I don't know. Maybe it was a wrong number. Well, that's why I'm having brick do, you know, a follow-up and let me know, trace the call. Okay. Are you worried? Well, at best, it's a coincidence, but you know how much I love coincidences. Mm. Well, I'm happy to see brick. Could you not flirt with him? I don't flirt with him. He flirts with me. And I don't mind. [Chuckles] Yeah, but see, you distract him, and I need him focused on my business. I need him to focus on my business this time. Right, but he's a surveillance expert and a security guy. What would you need him for? [Gasps] Oh, Josslyn! Oscar -- hi. Hey. Good to see you, Oscar. How are you, buddy? -You, too. -So, what are you guys up to? Um, well, P.C. Is playing Greenfield. Yeah, you guys got a hell of a quarterback. His name is Martinez. Been recruited by a lot of schools. Yeah, it should be a great game. Yeah. Yeah. We'd really love to go, um... without a bodyguard. Ava, I needed to come find you because I care about you. As you do any member of your flock. I don't have a flock, but I do have you, and I don't want to lose this. This? What is this? Our friendship. That's what drove me to the clinic. I know it may not be enough for you. But it's... this is honestly all I can say right now. Sure, Griffin. It's enough. Nathan, this is getting out of control. I came back to be with you, to build the life that we hoped for together. Yeah, well, that's what I want, too, which is why I can't be worrying about tweets and gifts from fans and stuff. I'm more worried about bills and rent. I hope you enjoyed going out to dinner. It might be the last time we get to do that for a while. Well, then we'll prepare to starve. Is that why you were so distracted at dinner? What aren't you saying? I'm saying I... my days as a full-time detective might be over, max. Jordan texted to make sure I was gonna be here tonight. I think she's gonna fire me. Okay, um... I'm gonna get back to work. Don't rush off on my account. I have some news I'm sure you'll both find interesting. [Sighs] I hope it's good news. It concerns me being here. I know I've been in your way since I got out of the hospital. And you are a sweetheart for taking me in, and I love you for it. But now... I think it's time for me to think about leaving. I recovered from my stroke -- thank God. And my blood pressure is in the healthy range -- or it was until I walked in on the two of you. Sorry about that. You're a grown man, Curtis. And you need your space. And I need to be the independent woman I was in Baltimore. Auntie, I have really enjoyed you staying here. I have. And [Sighs] I hope it wasn't something I said or did that made you want to leave back to Baltimore. Oh, I'm not moving back. I just landed a great job right here. Port Charles is my new home.

I'm sorry, Nathan. I know how much being a detective means to you. And if Spinelli hadn't ruined everything, you'd still be anonymous. And I might even be working for Nina again. Maybe -- maybe we could go to Portland. Maybe my position there is still open. Max, it's not your problem, okay? And I don't expect you to fix it. Yeah, Spinelli kind of blew everything up when he thought I was cheating with Amy, but I'm the one who ran into the book launch and announced in grand fashion that I am Ask Man Landers. I just couldn't stand the thought of anybody, especially you, thinking that I was cheating. But none of that matters 'cause it's done. It's over. No matter what, I love you. I love you, too. Oh, we need to get all this stuff out of here before Jordan sees it. [Chuckles] What are we gonna do with all this? Could take it to the hospital. I'm sure the kids in Peds would love it. I went to my buddy Felix's church last Sunday and saw him there. And he told me that one of GH's social workers was retiring, so I applied for the position. Today was my second interview. After they checked out my references, they offered me the position. I am now officially part of the GH. Team. So all of this under my nose, huh? You know, you should have went into business with me. [Laughs] You're craftier than I am. Where do you think you get your skills from? [Both laugh] Anyway, now I can stay close to both my men. Maybe T.J. And I can make up for lost time. It's the best I can do at this point. Well, congratulations, auntie. GH. Is lucky to have you. [Chuckles] Thank you, darling. And rest assured, I will move in to my own place eventually. So you can carry on like Adam and eve all hours of the day and night.

Jordan: Yeah, okay. That's my cue. Um... congratulations, Stella. I'm sure that T.J. Will be thrilled. I hope so. It's an important game. You know, the stands are gonna be packed. Oscar and I want to sit with our friends. Not Devon. No offense. No problem. There's plenty of security. Joss will definitely be safe. I understand that you guys want to sit with your friends. So Devon can sit a few rows behind you. Ind you. Close enough to watch... mom! ...Far enough away to not intrude. What? So there's gonna be an entire stadium full of screaming P.C. High football fans and one guy in a suit staring at me the whole time. Gee. No one will notice that. Josslyn. Josslyn. I understand where you're coming from. It -- [Sighs] It sucks having bodyguards, but that's a fact of your life right now. Like seatbelts. You may never need them, but if you do get in an accident, it could save your life. Okay, well, nobody's coming after me. Probably not -- I'd say it's a million-to-one shot. But since I have protection, right? And I can take care of you, make sure nothing happens to you, I can eliminate that one-in-a-million chance. And I'm sure Oscar would appreciate that, right? He's right, joss. I would never want anything to happen to you. Was I right? Was I the reason you went to the clinic? Yeah. Yeah. You were -- at first. Ava, I'm so sorry. It's just that your interest in me, it gave me hope that -- that I could be the woman that I once was. And then when you rejected me, I became fixated on the idea of becoming that woman again. But even if my face had been completely restored at that clinic, I know now that I can never be the person that I once was. And maybe that's a good thing. Why do you say that? Because healing my face, it isn't the same as healing myself. I mean, sure, I want to be held. I want to be loved... but my insides were all mangled up. And I realized that I have to heal that part of myself, too. Ava, you risked your life to save a stranger. [Laughing] Yeah. I blew any chance I had of having my face fully restored, but that's okay, right? There's nothing I can do about it now. I just have to go for it. This is me. This is the new me, inside and out. Take it or leave it. Yeah, but what you did was truly selfless. But I have to ask, I have to know, did you put yourself in danger because you wanted to help somebody else, or because you just... you just gave up, you didn't care about what happened to you?

S aren't gonna betray our trust and try and ditch Devon. Right? You wouldn't do that? Mom! No, ma'am. Mom. Okay. All right. You can leave after I get a picture. Let me see your phone. No, you don't need a picture. Yes, I do. Mom, no. No! Uncle Sonny... it's fine. You can go over here. Please make her stop?! You can't stop her when she gets like this. You're right. You can't. Okay. Get together and smile! Aww. [Chuckles] Oh, my God. That's so good! Oh, did you see that? Okay, okay. Oscar, do you want me to send this to your mom? Thanks. That's so nice. But if we don't leave now, we'll miss the kickoff. Yeah. Yeah. We really need to go. Okay. Okay. Go, go, go. Bye, bye, bye. All right. I got to tell you, that was kind of smooth. Yeah. Like, send it to... I know. We're going to have to meet her eventually, though, you know. Yeah, but he's going to want to do it later. I know, I just... you know why. We've talked about this. I think that Oscar's afraid that his mom is gonna find out that he's dating the stepdaughter of the local crime lord, and maybe not be too happy about it. And if she does, what? Well, then I'm gonna do cartwheels and backflips and do everything I can to reassure her. I thought you weren't into Josslyn dating. I'm not into Josslyn dating -- at all. She's too young. She doesn't think so. No, she doesn't. So if she's going to date, I'd like her to date Oscar. Yeah, I guess he's an all right kind of guy. Yes. And look, look, look. Aww! Look how cute they are. [Laughs] Yeah. Yeah? I was not being intentionally reckless with my life. I was just sort of curious. I mean, here was this man with these dark glasses on and this safety restraint on his face. And then he started showing signs of life. And I was intrigued. And then I saw that they were pumping him with enough drugs to fell a rhino. And that's when I decided that I would help him if I could. Why? I mean, like, what inside, like -- what made you want to do it? Please don't be impressed. Because, really, I didn't do much. All I did was manage to get him to write down a phone number. Oh, and I left the pen with him, which was a big mistake because he used it to try to escape. And it took three orderlies and a syringe full of special k to stop him. And Klein was furious, of course, and he threatened to throw me out. So I gave him the number. A moment of weakness. I mean, you more than made up for it by helping him escape. Oh, I'm not at all as noble as you're making me sound. Really. Patient 6 was handcuffed to a bed and he was using a paperclip to pick the lock. And he dropped the clip, and I gave it back to him. And that's it. That's all. That is the extent of my heroics. So you're not only courageous, you also modest, too. [Laughs] You're really laying it on thick. You saved a man's life. And by doing so, it sounds like you've saved yourself. Karma, huh? More like divine intervention. After all, Patient 6 led me to the clinic. He told me how to find it. And as I said before, I met him in a church. Well, St. Petersburg is a very big city. How did you even know where to start looking? Sonny helped me. Oh! [Laughs] Can I get you a drink? Poured by your own lovely hands? Of course! Bourbon, straight? You remembered. Always. Brick, Brick. Stop flirting with my wife. Perks of the job, man. Perks of the job. By the way, did you get any progress on the call from Russia?

Ava: Sonny helped you? I needed his resources, so I appealed to his better nature. I wasn't aware that he had a better nature. Listen, Sonny was already dealing with some mysterious phone call on his private line from Russia. He was able to narrow the location to somewhere near your clinic. Hold on. That's crazy. The number that Patient 6 gave me -- it had a Port Charles area code, so I knew there was a connection. Why would he have Sonny's number? Who was Patient 6 to Sonny?

Nathan: Last one. You okay? Yeah. I will be. These women are just so out of control. No matter what, I'm proud of you for helping Amy and her brother. And I've never been this close to an internet sensation before, so... at least one of us likes the attention. [Chuckles] I hate it. Especially for something I'm not even doing. A million women can't be wrong. You are sexy and wise. Let's face it -- you're basically the perfect man. [Chuckles] Don't forget to call me when your shift ends. Yeah. Hopefully sooner rather than later. Bye. Commissioner.

Jordan: Detective. I need to speak with you. Privately. Now.

Traced a call to a cell phone. Could you get into the account? Yeah, for all the good it did. Bills are paid through a Swiss bank. Someone's going through a lot of trouble to cover their tracks. I don't think so. Traced other calls from the same phone. Most were in or around St. Petersburg. Any international calls? Yeah. London, Paris, Tokyo. Even a couple to Manhattan. All private lines. All really rich people. Nobody associated with your line of work. That doesn't make any sense. Yeah, it does if Griffin was right -- and the call came from Ava. I can only assume that Klein called the number that Patient 6 gave me, and it turned out to be Sonny's. [Sighing] I don't know. I mean, I think tying Patient 6 to Sonny is a big leap. Well, I mean, the whole thing's pretty improbable, don't you think? Starting out with you being there at all. When did you go and see Sonny? Uh...I don't know. I'm mixed up with all the travel. But I would say just over 24 hours ago. Well, that was about when I gave Klein the number. Why else would Sonny get a call from Russia? I don't know. I-I-I-I don't know. But when I told Sonny you were in St. Petersburg, he assumed you were working with his enemies. Well, that stands to reason. Why would he help you find me? Oh, it was a happy accident. I-I went to Sonny to ask for help in finding you. He was in the process of turning me down when he referenced a call from St. Petersburg. I thought it was you reaching out for help. No. No, it's Patient 6 that was trying to reach out for help. And I got the feeling that he knew the person -- person turns out to be Sonny -- would come and get him. No matter what. Like I came and got you. Sorry, um, to drag you away from the game. I guess I wasn't really into football all that much. Don't be sorry. I feel the same way. You do? I don't really get football. Guys plowing into each other. Getting concussions. I know, right? On purpose. It's insane. Yeah. You, uh, think Devon will tell your mom and Sonny we left the game early? I mean, it shouldn't matter. Right? It's not like we went off on our own. Devon's still here -- watching every move we make. God, I wish my parents wouldn't stress all the time. You know, the one, single solitary thing that my dad and Sonny actually agree on is making sure I'm constantly protected. So your dad is in favor of the whole "bodyguard" thing? Oh, yeah. He calls it a "necessary evil." He checks in on me everyday no matter where he is. Sounds sweet. Do you miss having a dad? Uh, you can't really miss something you've never had. I don't even know my father's name or anything about him. And my mom, she just -- she gets so tight when I ask about him. I don't anymore. I don't know. She works so hard, I don't want to make her feel bad. Well, yeah, but -- but what about you? Aren't you curious? Wouldn't you like to know who your father is? Wow. That's a fancy bottle. You sure you should be drinking? I checked, and it's okay every now and then. Which is fine with me, since I only drink on special occasions. Well, this certainly qualifies. Yes. [Laughs] Yeah, I think it's real cool that you're working at GH. You know, you've got the built-in community at the hospital. Hell, you're already making friends. I'm gonna go get glasses for this. Okay. So what you're saying is, you hope I'll be busy enough to stop interfering with you and Jordan. Well, I mean, there's that. Mm-hmm. But I think it's -- I think it's perfectly healthy that you're going on with your life. You are a beautiful, vibrant woman. [Chuckles] All right, let me get this. Ah. There we go. So what you're saying is, you hope I find me a boyfriend or a group of friends that'll keep me so busy I'll stop meddling in your and Jordan's life. Well, yeah, now that you mentioned it. [Laughs] No, but seriously. What's wrong with finding a nice guy who will appreciate you for the phenomenal woman that you are? So, here's to you, phenomenal woman. Oh! [Chuckles] Ooh! [Laughs] [Sighs] That's nice, Curtis. It's nice, but it's not gonna happen. I already had the great love of my life. Marcus? He was it. And there'll never be another one. Not for me. Hmm. Okay, first, let me apologize for not being upfront about the blog. Okay? I didn't know that it was gonna blow up the way that it did, and I can assure you that I will continue to protect and serve the people of Port Charles as my first priority. Are you done? Yeah. Okay. I was surprised to learn that you are Ask Man Landers. I wish you would have come to me before this whole thing became a pr event. I know. I know. And I should have made a full disclosure. With that said, you are one of my best detectives. And as long as you can assure me that your activities as Ask Man Landers won't interfere with your work... they won't. You have my word. That's all I need to hear. You can relax. I am not gonna fire you. Really? Really? Oh! Thank you. Okay, so why'd you call me in here like this? Because I need your advice. I have a situation with my boyfriend's aunt. And... I need you to help me fix it. [Chuckles] Sorry to keep you waiting. We were passing out all those goodies you dropped off. [Chuckles] The kids in Peds are thrilled. Great. It was Nathan's idea to send that stuff over. He'll be happy to know all of the Ask Man Landers swag went to a worthy cause. Speaking of Ask Man Landers, how are you and Nathan dealing with all of the publicity? It's...an adjustment. [Cell phone chiming] [Scoffs] Are you seeing these tweets? [Laughs] Yeah. Just ignore that one with you as a gorilla. It's a grizzly bear. Uh, nope. There's a new one with a gorilla [Laughing] And it's... the point is Nathan's reaching superstar status online for work that you're doing. How are you handling that? Doesn't it bother you in the least?

Oh, my. No. I have no problem with Nathan being famous. It was never about that for me. In fact, Nathan coming out as Ask Man Landers has worked out better than I could have ever dreamed. The book is already on backorder. We've sold so many copies. [Sighs] And I can get Chet the best care and the quality of life that I didn't think was possible. All because of your wonderful, generous husband. Yeah, well, like I told him, I'm really proud. What's it like being married to someone everyone adores? Oh, it's a blast. Mm-hmm. Must be a change for you to watch Nathan shine. When we were in high school, you were the one in the spotlight. What are you talking about? I was an outcast because of my heart. [Laughs] Give it up! You were the queen of the corridor between classes. I struggled a lot. You have no idea what it's like to pick out a great outfit everyday. [Scoffs] To be polished and upbeat, to get every cheer and dance move right on the first run through, to know people are gossiping behind your back just waiting for you to blow it. To make sure your makeup's perfect. I literally dreaded every pimple and bad hair day. But you succeeded. Brilliantly. Maxie Jones -- cheer captain, head of the popular group. [Chuckles] Now that Nathan's getting all of the attention, you can't stand it. So Curtis has made it clear that we're in love and we love each other and we're gonna stay together. But Stella, she will not back off. Hmm. You know if she's had a partner or somebody she loves? Yeah. I think she was engaged at one time. But, you know, she ended the relationship so that she could raise Curtis and his brother. I don't know. That was a long time ago. I-I-I don't... I'm pretty sure she hasn't had anyone since. Maybe she's -- maybe she's grieving her sacrifice, you know, now that everybody's grown and gone. Or I don't know, maybe she's afraid to love again. Maybe her heart's broken. It's actually kind of sad. I don't even know the woman. I feel really sorry for her. I know you sacrificed a lot to raise Tommy and me. And I just want you to know that I am eternally grateful. Oh, honey. I'm not looking for your gratitude. You and Tommy were my family. There's nothing I wouldn't do for you. I only told you about Marcus so you'd know why I'm not interested in anyone else. No man could measure up. Wow. So have you seen him or talked to him? No. See. That's where the game gets tricky. See, oftentimes, when we're not around our loved ones, we elevate them to hero status. And we only remember the good stuff about them. [Scoffs] Believe me, Marcus had his faults, but that doesn't change the way I feel about him, though. All right. Well, uh, just promise me you'll stay open to the idea of possibly dating again. So I can stop meddling in your scandalous love life. [Chuckles] No, Aunt Stella. [Laughs] So you can get your groove back. Oh! [Laughs] Boy. [Both laugh] It's kind of weird. Knowing someone is out there that made me and I don't know him. But I'm walking around with his genetic code. Maybe he gave me a gene that likes hanging out with you. So don't you want to know who gave you such great taste? [Chuckles] Absolutely. But I can't without upsetting my mom. And I won't do that. So it's impossible. Oscar, nothing's impossible. Griffin said that Ava was in St. Petersburg, um, at some clinic to restore her face. Is that even possible? I don't know. Now the other calls, what do you think? Could be from a high-end plastic surgery clinic. You think she borrowed the doctor's phone? Why? Why though? Why call your business line? How did she even get that number? Morgan. He probably gave it to her. Well, she was probably checking in on Avery. She knew I wasn't going to answer the house or the cell phone. So she calls your business line, knowing you won't recognize the number, hoping you'd pick up. And I did. And Ava didn't say anything. Huh. She probably figured that I would hang up if I heard her voice. Yeah. So mystery solved. Okay. Great. Thanks, brick. Hold on, uh, brick. I have a job that requires your expertise. Just tell me what you need. You should be proud of yourself for standing up to Sonny as a man. Don't you ever think of yourself like that, not as a priest, just as a man? You're exhausted. You should get some rest. I'll text Kiki when we land. Griffin, thank you. I don't trust Michael's girlfriend, and I had her investigated in the past, but many things were missed. And you want me to find them? I want a deep background check with full surveillance. Electronic surveillance, phone taps -- the whole nine yards? Yes. No. We need to do this, Sonny. We have to let Michael handle it. Oh, my God. Yes, this girl is bad news. But we have to let Michael figure it out. If we keep pushing him, he's gonna get close to her. That's why we're going to use brick. [Sighs] He's perfect. Okay? Nelle will never know that he's watching her. Sonny, she won't. I appreciate the offer, but we're not gonna do that, at least not for now. Carly? Sonny's right. You know, we'll wait. For now. Okay? But you know what, if we need you... I'm always here -- guaranteed. You know that. Thank you. Thank you. Anything for a lovely lady. [Chuckles] For the last time, stop flirting with my wife. You know you like it.

Of course I don't resent the attention Nathan is getting. Are you sure? Don't be ridiculous. I'm thrilled with his success. I get why you might be uncomfortable. But for this to work, you're gonna have to find a way to deal with it. Here's my advice. Go back to work. Raise your own self-esteem and let this crazy 15 minutes of fame ride itself out. But above all, please don't do anything impulsive. Okay? Because it will defeat everything Nathan has done and is trying to do. You're good. You just made me feel compassion for a woman who hates me. Well, if I had to give up Maxie for whatever reason, I'd regret it for the rest of my life. So let's hope that Curtis' aunt can find love again, or at least start believing in yours. Yeah. That would be a real gift. The gift is letting me stay on. Thanks, boss. You kidding me? I'm not getting rid of you. Clearly all of your services are valuable. Thank you. I'm really glad you'll be sticking around. Of course, you are. Give me some sugar. Ohh. How mad are you? Mad, huh? Because you shut me down in front of brick? I'd be a hell of a lot madder if I didn't know in my heart that you were right. Michael has to discover for himself that Nelle is bad. And he will, 'cause, you know, he's a caring, forgiving kid, but he's not a pushover. No, but it would be nice to have a complete dossier on that little wench. You see? Do you hear yourself? You're so obsessed with this. What are you talking about? Over-monitoring your kids. What are you gonna do next? Ask brick to do surveillance on Oscar? What if I go looking for my dad and he doesn't want to be found? What if he's pissed that my mom got pregnant with me? Or what if he has another family and I'm an embarrassment? What if we meet and he just doesn't like me? I don't believe that could ever happen. Your dad -- whoever he is -- he's lucky to have a son like you. I can't find him. So I guess we'll never know. Well, what if we could... find your dad? Would you want to? You're right. Again. You're right. I'm holding on too tight and it's embarrassing, Sonny, because I always used to pride myself in being the mom that encourages her kids to be independent and let them make mistakes and make their own choices. If they fall on their face, they fall on their face, and... [Sighs] Never mind. You don't have to say anything. I understand. After losing Morgan, you want to take the rest of your kids, you want to just hold them. Do everything you can to keep them safe. I feel the same way. [Sighs] I can't believe Ava called you. I can. She's using Avery as her way in, you know. She is. She's thinking with enough time that passes that we'll all reach some kind of an acceptance, that we may forget about what she did to Morgan. She's wrong. I was dreaming about my girls. I can't wait to see them. They'll be so proud of their mom, the way you helped that patient. Well, it seems, father Munro, that some of your goodness has rubbed off on me.
