Anna: Uh-huh. How did the meeting go with Cassandra?
Finn: Oh, very charming woman. Nice house, clean, almost no dust. Did I mention that all her glassware is crystal?
Anna: What did you talk about?
Finn: What did we talk about? Let's see. What did we talk about? Well, lots of things. We talked about skiing, sailing, illegally acquired conflict gems.
Anna: What, so it was just medical issues, yeah?
Finn: All disease, all the time. No diamonds. And, really, why would she? Why would she talk about her underworld crime syndicate with a doctor that she just met?
Anna: I know. It's just early days. The next time you go to see her --
Finn: There's not gonna be a next time.
Anna: Well, that's not your call to make.
Finn: Really? 'Cause it's not your call, either.
Nelle: I have something for you!
Michael: Oh, really? What is it?
Nelle: My first rent check to my new landlord.
Michael: Okay. And, look, I promise to address any and all concerns in a timely fashion -- three to five business days, tops.
Nelle: Okay. Well, you also promised to --
Michael: Yes, I'll cash it. I'll cash it. No special treatment. I'll even charge you a penalty if you're late.
Nelle: You don't have to go that far.
Michael: Look, you came around to the idea of letting me buy this place. The least I can do is charge you for it.
Nelle: Guess that's one way to look at it.
Michael: What's wrong? You having second thoughts?
Nelle: No. I'm just wondering if it's gonna be weird sleeping with my landlord.
Michael: Oh. Well, I guess there's only way to find out, isn't there?
Bobbie: Shouldn't you be at work?
Carly: The restaurant's hosting a "Ask Man Landers" event, and I'm gonna let Olivia handle that one, and I'm gonna stay here. [Chuckles] What brings you by?
Bobbie: I came by to order the cake... for my party.
Carly: Oh, that's right! Congratulations, although I think the hospital can give you something better than a pin after all the years that you've given them.
Bobbie: Oh, my years weren't consecutive. There was a huge gap. And, besides, it's a very nice pin.
Bobbie: So, all of the RSVPs are in except for one. I haven't heard from Michael!
Carly: Eh. I wonder why.
Bobbie: Well, I invited Nelle. Sure, I can't stand her, but what choice did I have?
Carly: All I can say is after today, I will know whether I can keep my promise to Michael and accept Nelle or I'll have to do everything in my power to get rid of that girl... permanently.
Quinn: Amy, this is going to be huge.
Amy: Hard to believe it's really happening!
Quinn: Oh, look, I'm sorry. I think you and Nathan were a bit put off by my firm's tiny deception.
Amy: You mean the fine print in Nathan's contract requiring him to reveal himself today, despite what it may cost him.
Quinn: Well, any "cost" to him will be overshadowed when the book sales skyrocket, and then the two of you will be thanking me for making you rich and famous!
Amy: Honestly, Quinn... I'm not crazy about how it happened, but... I truly am excited about today.
Quinn: Well, and so you should be. And --
Quinn: Oh. Well, I'm not excited about that display. Excuse me, darling. This is a book launch, not a Jenga tournament. Break up these books. Break them up.
Amy: You're so early!
Nina: Yeah, yeah. I just wanted to sure that my crew, all my camera guys, get the good spots for the exclusive that Crimson was promised.
Amy: That sounds like a Quinn problem. I'll go get her.
Nina: No, no! I wanted to talk to you. I haven't had a chance to talk to my brother. But let me ask you. Is he okay... with the whole world to knowing that he's Ask Man Landers?
Maxie: You need to put the rest of your tux on, or we're gonna be late for the book signing.
Nathan: Oh, I wish it was over already, or, better yet, not even happening.
Maxie: But it is, so you need to get dressed.
Nathan: I mean, this could jeopardize my career, Maxie. My credibility takes a hit if the truth ever gets out this is fraud.
Maxie: Which is why I've taken very clever steps to make sure that does not happen.
Nathan: And I love you so much for that, but I got to ask -- I mean, do you really think this is gonna work?
Maxie: It's basically foolproof. Trust me. When this is all over, everyone's going home a winner. And the best part of my brilliant plan is that nobody will ever know you were a part of this deception. And our lives can finally go back to normal.
Nathan: Oh, I can't wait.
Maxie: Then go get dressed.
Maxie: Andale, Andale. Text Amy Driscoll. "Will be there soon." Send.
[Knock on door]
Maxie: Spinelli! Hey.
Spinelli: Sorry to come over unannounced, but I-I had to see you.
Maxie: Why? Is something wrong with Georgie?
Spinelli: Oh, no, no, no, no. Our offspring continues to flourish in our absence, which fills me with both joy and guilt. No, no, no. I'm here because of Ask Man Landers.
Bobbie: So, what big game-changer is happening today?
Carly: Well, you can't tell anybody. This has to stay between us. You can't even tell Felicia.
Bobbie: No problem, but why?
Carly: Because I don't know if what I'm about to do is the right thing to do.
Bobbie: Oh. Huh. Anything that brings Nelle down is the right thing in my book.
Carly: Well, except I kind of told Michael that I would accept his decision about Nelle.
Carly: Until I got a text from Sharon Grant.
Bobbie: As in Zachary Grant, Nelle's late fiancÚ?
Carly: As in his sister. And she agreed to meet me here in Port Charles to tell me all about Nelle.
Bobbie: And all of this happened just out of the blue?
Carly: I know. It's weird timing, isn't it, don't you think?
Bobbie: Yeah. Well, you know, maybe Felicia's investigation stirred things up, or maybe somebody who knows Nelle saw the pictures that Michael posted of them on Instagram and it got back to Sharon.
Carly: I'm less concerned about why Sharon reached out than what she has to say about Nelle. I mean, who knows? Maybe she's some bitter, rich snob that just hates Nelle for being poor. And if that's the case, I can finally let all of this go.
Bobbie: Well, look at it this way. The worst thing that can happen is... you clear Nelle.
Carly: That's the best thing that can happen.
Bobbie: Mm. Best for you, but the worst for me.
Carly: [Laughing] Oh, God.
Bobbie: Ohh. That girl could rescue kittens from the rain, and I'd still hate her.
Carly: Sonny thinks it's all gonna blow up in my face -- it's gonna push Michael away.
Bobbie: Michael is your son. He's my grandson. This is for his own good. Don't back down.
Carly: Well, I think it's officially too late for that.
Finn: Cassandra talked to me about her medical history, and she talked, and she talked, and she talked. And over the course of that very detailed conversation, she told me about a litany of doctors -- many of whose names that I knew and respected their work -- had failed to determine what was ailing her.
Anna: That's exactly what we want!
Finn: No. No, no, no. That's not what we want, 'cause what's ailing Cassandra is actually quite simple to diagnose. She suffers from very common allergies, and she also happens to be a full-blown hypochondriac.
Anna: I know. I told you that! It's perfect.
Finn: The perfectness of this situation has failed to overtake me.
Anna: Well, she's just being dramatic, or she doesn't want to seem too needy or eager. Or she could be playing you, hoping that you're gonna come back, demanding to see her, telling her that you're the only person who can help her.
Finn: How many French movies did you watch while I was gone?
Anna: Oh, everything you're telling me sounds exactly the way I planned it. It's all hunky-dory.
Finn: You're wrong. It's over. Cassandra told me she doubted if we'd ever see each other again.
Quinn: Oh, Nina, darling!
Nina: Hello, Quinn!
Quinn: Oh, mwah, mwah! Isn't this all just so wonderful?
Nina: Who can believe it?
Quinn: Well, believe it. I'm about to make sexy-dorable Nathan West the next big thing! All the women want him, and all the men want to be him. There are no limits.
Nina: And apparently no boundaries.
Quinn: Exactly. Oh, he's just a little slice of heaven on earth for all of us.
Quinn: Oh, got to run.
Nina: [Sighs] If this is slightly as big as Quinn thinks, you know what's gonna happen next?
Amy: We'll sell lots and lots of books?
Nina: No. People are gonna be more interested. They're gonna dig even deeper.
Amy: That won't happen!
Nina: Why not?
Amy: [Sighs] Because the only people who know the truth are you, me, Nathan, and Maxie.
Spinelli: You asked me to uncover Ask Man Landers' true identity.
Maxie: That's right. I did. Um, just forget it. [Chuckles] I did. I mean, I forgot that I asked you to find out his identity.
Spinelli: But you did ask, and you didn't rescind that request, which...makes what I have to tell you all that -- all that more urgent. Maxie...
Spinelli: ...I'm sorry.
Maxie: For what?
Spinelli: I got so preoccupied with Jason going into long-term care and working long-distance for my paying clients that I -- I neglected my promise to you. And now his identity's going to be revealed anytime anyhow!
Maxie: Oh. So, you don't -- no worries. Just -- just forget it.
Spinelli: Really? Because I take pride in not letting my clients down, especially when those clients are friends, especially when that friend is... you.
Maxie: Did I pay you for this?
Maxie: Then I got my money's worth! No harm, no foul. And, like you said, they're about to announce it anyway, so let's just forget the investigation!
Spinelli: You seem unusually... okay about this.
Maxie: Because it's fine. Let's just forget about it -- all of it, okay?
Nathan: Ready or not, here's... Spinelli.
Spinelli: Detective West! Why are you -- why are you in a tux?
Sharon: Carly Corinthos?
Carly: Yes, yes. Hi. This is my mom, Bobbie Spencer. This is Sharon Grant, Zachary's sister.
Bobbie: We're so sorry for your loss.
Sharon: Thank you.
Bobbie: Well, I'll leave you to it.
Bobbie: It was good to meet you, Sharon.
Carly: Why don't we sit down? Do you want some coffee or breakfast? I mean, you did come all this way.
Sharon: No, thank you. I'm fine.
Carly: I have to tell you, I am surprised that you reached out to me.
Sharon: My brother was a wonderful person. My family and I, we've done our very best to put this loss behind us and move on.
Carly: I understand. I, um, lost my son almost a year ago.
Sharon: So you do know. Not too long ago, an investigator contacted us about Nelle. They wanted information but weren't forthcoming as to why. So I hired my own PI to find out. That's how I learned that Janelle Benson was now Nelle Hayes, living here in Port Charles, and working for you.
Carly: Oh, she doesn't work for me. She used to, but she hasn't for months.
Sharon: She did something to you, didn't she -- something awful? So, before I tell you how Janelle destroyed my family, tell me -- what has she done to yours?
Nelle: Wow! We couldn't even make it to the bed!
Michael: Yeah. It makes me wonder what you're hiding.
Nelle: Who, me?
Michael: You don't got pets, do you? Because that's strictly against the terms of your new lease.
Nelle: No. No animals here.
Nelle: Now I have to focus. Nina gave me the day off to move in, even though I technically never moved out.
Michael: Well, as your new landlord, I am giving you a special bonus. Ta-da.
Nelle: I get a hug?
Michael: No. Yeah, you can have a hug if you want to have a hug, but, uh, no. You get me. I took the day off so I could help you unpack.
Nelle: Michael, you did not have to do that.
Michael: Nah, it's too late. According to the fine print in your new lease, I am obligated to help you. So, sorry.
Nelle: You know what you are?
Michael: Presumptuous? Impulsive? What?
Nelle: You're perfect. I wish we could just stay like this all the time -- just you and me, no one else to bother us.
Michael: Yeah. Well, I think if it was just you and me, you'd get pretty bored pretty fast.
Nelle: I don't know. I can say right now, this is the happiest I've been in my life.
Michael: Well, that's sweet of you to say.
Nelle: It's true.
Michael: Look, Nelle, you don't need to make it sound like I'm the only guy you ever cared about. What happened to Zach was terrible, but you were engaged to the guy.
Nelle: I was. A-and I did care about him, but... Michael, it was nothing like this.
Michael: No, of course not. When we fall in love with someone new, it's always different.
Nelle: It's not just that. It's -- look, after Zach died, I think I took it for granted that I would never be that happy again. And now look. Like, here we are.
Michael: Well, I'm glad I could help.
Nelle: You know, I just want to put all the bad stuff behind me and... all the mistakes I made with your mom and your family, Zach and his family, and just move forward, because...our future is all that matters.
Michael: That sounds like a plan.
Nelle: You know what the first part of that plan is?
Michael: Unpacking these boxes.
Nelle: It's unsettling how well you can read my mind.
Michael: Well, I run a conglomerate. It's my job to anticipate things.
Nina: I hope you're right about this. I mean, my brother is risking everything today. When the world knows that he's Ask Man Landers, [Sighs] Anything can happen.
Amy: Well, I didn't want it to go this way, either, but what's done is done. And your brother is fine, so you need to chill!
Nina: Oh, you need to calm down, missy. Let me tell you something. I appreciate all the service that your brother has given to this country, and I think what you're doing for him is admirable and noble.
Amy: Thank you.
Nina: But... if this ends up hurting my brother, you'll regret it. Am I clear?
Quinn: Well, everything is in place and ready to go, except for one tiny little thing. Where is Nathan?
Amy: I just got a text. He'll be here soon.
Quinn: No, he should be here now! What is the hold-up?
Maxie: I'm going to the Ask Man Landers book signing today, and since Nathan wasn't working, I decided to take him with.
Spinelli: Oh! I didn't realize the event was black tie.
Maxie: Well, uh, it's not for everybody else, but when you're escorting Maxie Jones... it's black tie!
Spinelli: Of course. It's good to see some things never change.
Maxie: Yeah, like me being fashionably late.
Nathan: You know, if we don't leave soon, we're gonna unfashionably tardy, so we should probably get going.
Spinelli: Well, by my calculations, if you were to leave now, you'd arrive a few minutes early, if not just on time.
Maxie: Well, I-I know, but I want to get there early, so I can talk to Ask Man Landers himself.
Spinelli: Well, couldn't you do that when he signs your book?
Maxie: I need more time than it would take for him to sign that stupid book. I want to scoop Nina by getting an interview with him right underneath her nose, so she takes me seriously and considers giving me my job back.
Spinelli: You know, I'm actually kind of a fan myself.
Maxie: Spinelli, we got to go!
Spinelli: Well, no! But maybe we could all go together! I'd love to see him in the flesh!
Maxie: Absolutely not. The guest list is locked, and you're not on it.
Spinelli: But that's easy to --
Maxie: Great seeing you! Love you! We'll talk later. [Sighs] Thank God I took care of that.
Anna: Cassandra loves the attention, doesn't she? So she's gonna change her mind, and she's gonna ask you to come back to see her.
Finn: Or maybe [Blows] She's on to us.
Anna: Did it seem like she was on to us?
Finn: How would I know? Look, she looked me in the eye and said, "We're not gonna see each other anymore." What more to do you need?
Anna: Right. I think that we should --
Finn: You know what? I don't even care what you think. And don't pretend this is about diamonds or being some sort of monument to justice. This is about that guy Valentin Cassadine and your fixation on him.
Anna: I don't have a fixation on him.
Finn: Oh, whatever! He's the object of your obsession, so do it on your own time. I'm out.
Anna: No. That's not possible.
Finn: Yeah, it is. I'm leaving tonight. And if you want to make good on your blackmail threat, go right ahead.
Maxie: So, back before I knew you were pretending to be Ask Man Landers, I asked Spinelli to do some digging for me and find out his real identity. Fortunately, Spinelli has not had time for that investigation.
Nathan: Oh. So, Spinelli still doesn't know?
Maxie: No, and as long we keep him away from the book signing, he never will, although if we had told him the truth, it probably wouldn't have been the worst thing in the world.
Nathan: I know we can trust the guy, but, you know, the more people that know...
Maxie: You're right. We don't need to involve him. But if we want my plan to work, we got to go now.
Spinelli: Uh, Nurse Driscoll, what are you -- what are -- what are you doing here?
Amy: Why are you here [Chuckles] Before the event has even started? No one's been let in yet.
Spinelli: I, uh...have my ways.
Amy: Are you on the guest list?
Spinelli: Oh, yes, indeed I am. "D. Spinelli." "D" is for "Damian."
Amy: Yep. That's you.
Spinelli: Hey, you know, when we were at the hospital and we discussed Ask Man Landers, you never indicated that you were somehow professionally involved, and yet, clearly, you are.
Amy: I'm just helping out.
Spinelli: Yeah. May I ask in what capacity?
Amy: We're not ready to start yet, so you'll have to wait in the lobby with the rest of the guests.
Spinelli: Um, but w--
Amy: Maybe we can talk later.
Spinelli: What? Oh.
Michael: Oh. Oh, damn it.
Nelle: What is it?
Michael: My grandmother is being honored at the hospital for her many years of service. They're throwing this little party to celebrate. It's family only.
Nelle: Oh. Okay. Well, have a good time.
Michael: You're invited.
Nelle: You mean she told you you could bring a plus-one?
Michael: Well, she actually mentioned you by name. We don't have to stay long.
Nelle: Oh, I'm not going. I mean, you know I would do anything for you, but, invitation or not, putting me in the same room as Bobbie Spencer feels like a really bad idea. Doesn't it?
Michael: Well, I mean, my grandmother wouldn't want to ruin her own party.
Nelle: Maybe not, but if anything went wrong, I would be the one that would be blamed, no matter whose fault it was, and I don't want to put you the awkward position of having to defend me to your grandmother and to your mother, because, of course, she'll take Bobbie's side. So I'd rather just stop the problem before it starts and just avoid them both, you know?
Carly: Nelle did cause trouble for my family.
Sharon: By any chance, was she involved with your son before he died?
Carly: No. They barely knew each other. What happened with Nelle and my family -- well, actually, it was a misunderstanding.
Sharon: I'm sure that's exactly what she wanted you to think.
Carly: The misunderstanding was legitimately not her fault. Now, how she handled it -- well, that's a different story.
Sharon: I just hope Nelle never takes anything precious from you or from the people you love the way she did from me and my mine.
Bobbie: So, sweetheart, I will call you later.
Carly: Yes, okay.
Bobbie: All right. Sharon, it was very good to meet you. Take care.
Sharon: You, too.
Carly: I want to get back to why you contacted me. I know some of the details that surround your brother's passing. I know that your parents and the police suspect Nelle.
Sharon: We do, for good reason.
Carly: Okay, you know, Nelle is not my favorite person, or, otherwise, I wouldn't have agreed to meet with you. But she never took anything from me -- I mean, not a post-it, not a paper clip. And she had every opportunity.
Sharon: Did she lie to you?
Carly: Like a rug. Every word our of her mouth to my family was a lie from the second she came to town until... we discovered why.
Sharon: That "legitimate" misunderstanding you mentioned? Don't underestimate her, Ms. Corinthos. The most important thing you need to know about Janelle, the place that she is most dangerous, is her talent for deceit -- not just the lies but the way she used little tricks to worm her way in before striking. You need to know what led up to my brother's death and how Janelle was ultimately able to get away with murder.
Quinn: We can't hold the guests in the lobby forever. We have to start! Where is Nathan?
Nathan: Right here.
Quinn: Oh, thank heaven.
Maxie: Hi, you must be --
Quinn: Now, look, when the crowd comes in, you're going to be hidden right over there. And then we're going to cue you when it's time for your entrance. And then -- excuse me. What on earth do you think you're doing?
Maxie: I'm introducing Ask Man Landers.
Amy: Maxie, no!
Quinn: Look, I don't know who you think you are, but this is not the plan.
Maxie: Actually, it is now. And I would like to introduce you to all the Ask Man Landers! Fellas?
Quinn: What? [Scoffs]
[Amy: Chuckles softly]
Anna: Okay, you're right. You're right.
Finn: Oh, I know. Wait. About what?
Anna: That this is personal, about Valentin, because... we have a past. But this case -- it's not about the past. This is about the present.
Finn: I'm not a spy, Anna. I'm a doctor, and I'm a recovering addict, and the last couple of weeks have been... pretty -- pretty bad. And it's important for me to be honest with myself right now.
Anna: I should be honest with you, too. I didn't -- I don't want to make you do this, because you helped me, you know? You diagnosed my PV... and everything. I guess blackmailing you into helping me take a criminal down isn't the best way to say, "Thank you."
Finn: It's terrible. You're very bad at this.
Anna: I know. There's a lot of people who would agree with you.
Finn: Listen. [Sighs] You need to get a professional in here, you know? You got to bring in a pro, 'cause I blew it. I blew it, and, you know, maybe I'm a little edgy right now because, as much as I didn't want to be here, and I didn't want to help you... I didn't want to let you down, either.
Anna: You haven't. 'Cause Cassandra, she's -- you know, she's all dramatic, and I-I think that she'll reach out to you again.
Finn: What would make you say something like that?
Anna: Well, because, unlike you, I don't underestimate your charm.
Finn: My charm? Have you even met me? I'm the opposite of charming!
Anna: Oh, and the fact that you believe that's true makes you even more appealing.
Nina: Absolutely fascinating.
Quinn: I don't understand. Who are you, and why are you trying to hijack my event?
Maxie: I am a friend of Amy and Nathan's, and, as you can see, PR is my life. When my BFF Amy confided in me about the unveiling of Ask Man Landers --
Quinn: Which she was not supposed to do!
Maxie: Um, I think the words you're looking for are, "Thank you, Amy! Thank you so much for convincing your genius friend to rescue my event."
Quinn: My event does not need rescuing!
Maxie: But it does need improvement. Watch and learn. Having five Ask Man Landers work the room, handing out pre-signed copies of the book while mingling with the customers -- that will compounded the mystery of his identity instead of reveal it.
Quinn: Well, that's really interesting, but I think I'd rather have --
Nina: No, no, no, no, no! Wait, wait, wait, wait. Um, young -- young lady, tell us more.
Maxie: Well, everyone will think his or her man of mystery is the real Ask Man Landers, and they'll be guessing which one is which all over social media.
Amy: That's not what was agreed on!
Maxie: Well, your pal Nathan thought it was a good idea. Didn't you?
Nathan: Afraid I did.
Nina: So do I.
Amy: [Chuckles] Okay, then. I will leave you to it.
Nathan: Amy, wait.
Quinn: Hold it right there! I have got 30 seconds to make a decision before the barbarians storm the gates. And as much as I find this young woman's methods unorthodox and extremely annoying, this idea that Trixie --
Quinn: Maxie has... is quite brilliant, and I think we're going to go with it! [Chuckles] Um, you.
Man: Yes, ma'am?
Quinn: What do you know about, uh... car repair, plumbing, and the human heart?
Man: I know that if you have patience, and you really listen, that all three of those things can turn out good as new.
Quinn: [Laughing] Wow. I hope they're all this good.
Maxie: See?! It's working!
Nathan: Yeah, thanks to you.
Maxie: Okay. I'd better mingle, make sure all the other Ask Man Landers are pulling their weight.
Nathan: Hey. You should go back inside. Maxie's plan's working.
Amy: [Sniffles] Great. Just great. [Sniffles]
Nathan: Well, I thought you'd be pleased.
Amy: I wish you would have clued me in on the plan, or that there even was a plan. Now Quinn thinks I blew off our non-disclosure agreement, and I didn't!
Nathan: Hey, hey, hey, hey. It's all right. Everything's gonna be okay, all right?
Sharon: My brother's death was a shock. I mean, how could it be anything else? But looking back... how Janelle -- I'm sorry -- how Nelle pulled it off was a sick sort of genius.
Carly: How do you mean?
Sharon: In the beginning, she was so sweet -- unassuming and self-deprecating.
Carly: I can only imagine.
Sharon: Then she did something so insidious, none of us even realized it was happening. Nelle would always have some reason why she and Zach couldn't make family events. It started with family dinners. They'd miss one here and there, and then the absences became more frequent. Of course, they were two young people in love.
Carly: So why wouldn't they want to spend more time alone?
Sharon: Exactly. After a while, Zach started missing family functions, which was unusual, and then family trips, which was unheard of. Before we knew it, we weren't seeing him at all. And when they would call or stop by, Zach was cool, even defensive. We stopped hearing that great laugh of his.
Sharon: Nelle had begun to convince him that we thought she wasn't good enough for him -- that we called her "trash" behind his back. Of course, none of it was true, but, by then, what could we do? Zach announced that they were getting married, and we could either accept Nelle or -- or he'd cut us out of his life. We didn't know it at the time, but Zach had already changed his will, left everything to her. And what do you know? No sooner was the will signed than she dragged him off to vacation, in Maine, of all places!
Carly: Lots of people vacation in Maine.
Sharon: No, not -- not Zach. He was a southern boy through and through. Hated cold. Wasn't all that fond of roughing it, either. His favorite part of any outdoor excursion was the wind-down afterward, sitting around with his feet up. [Voice breaking] Nelle had arranged it so that they would be all alone. And -- and he went along... because he trusted her. [Crying] Got in that kayak in that icy water and...
Carly: Hey. You know... here. There. We don't have to go through every detail right now. We don't, you know? Maybe we can talk about this later. When are you leaving?
Sharon: Um...I hadn't planned on leaving until tomorrow, at the earliest. But I would be -- "happy" isn't the right word. I would be willing to meet with you again, to tell you the rest and to answer any questions.
Carly: I appreciate that.
Sharon: As painful as it is to stare all this in the face again, I'm very glad we met. You obviously think that Nelle might be up to something. Whatever it is, don't let her get away with it.
Michael: Want some coffee?
Michael: All right. I'll go.
Nelle: Hey, Michael... about the party -- you know, if you -- if you really want me to go...
Michael: Oh, no. Look, you're right. We'd just be asking for trouble if we go. I'll, um -- I'll take my grandmother out for a special dinner, and we'll celebrate one-on-one. Cool.
Nelle: I never meant to suggest that you shouldn't go.
Michael: If I show up, it'll look like I'm giving in. You know, I want them to think we're out somewhere having a good time with each other.
Nelle: [Sighs] I don't know, Michael. That just feels like one more thing they're gonna be able to use against me.
Michael: Maybe. Maybe they will. But, look, at least they'll know we're serious about each other, right?
Nelle: If you're sure.
Michael: I'm sure. Look, it'll all work out, all right? Trust me. Okay. I'll be back.
Nelle: All right. [Exhales sharply]
Finn: Listen, I've been called a lot of things in my day -- "aloof," "abrasive" -- but no one's ever called me "charming." Even Hayden never -- no one thinks I'm charming.
Anna: Well, I disagree.
Finn: Listen, I've done everything you asked here, all right? And you have my word. No matter what --
[Cell phone beeps]
Finn: What happens, I'll keep all this on the down-low.
Anna: What is it?
Finn: It's, uh -- it's from Cassandra. She changed her mind. She wants to see me again.
Quinn: This is really brilliant, and I am furious I didn't think about it myself. [Chuckles] And I know exactly when we are going to reveal the true identity of Ask Man Landers. Never!
Nina: Ah! [Laughs]
Quinn: This is brilliant.
Nina: Congratulations. You pulled that off.
Maxie: I'm a woman of many talents. But I did not do this to impress my ex-boss. I did it for the man that we both love. Speaking of, I need to go check on him. Excuse me. This is going perfectly! I can't wait to have our own celebration later.
Man: Sorry, boss. I've got plans already.
Maxie: Oh! Uh, sorry! Continue mingling. Man, I am good at casting. Where is Nathan?
Amy: Everything was fine! We had it all under control until Maxie came back!
Nathan: Hey, hey, hey, hey, we still have it under control, all right? We're gonna be fine. You'll see.
Amy: But if anyone finds out the truth, we'll be exposed, and... I'm afraid we're gonna lose everything.
Nathan: That's not going to happen. Nobody's gonna find out anything.
Amy: You know, when you say it, I actually believe it. I feel like I can trust you with anything.
Nathan: That's 'cause you can. You should get back in there.
Amy: Yeah. You're not coming?
Nathan: In a second. All things considered, maybe we shouldn't be seen together that much.
Spinelli: How could you?
Nathan: Spi-- Spinelli? What are you doing here?
Spinelli: The real question is, what were you doing out here? But never fear. The Jackal has figured it out.
Anna: Now the real work begins.
Finn: There's just one little problem. Aside from those allergies, Cassandra appears to be perfectly healthy. There is no reason for me to be treating her.
Anna: You don't have to tell her that! She doesn't want to hear it anyway. She wants to believe that she's ill. So this is what you're gonna do. You're gonna run a bunch of tests, and then you're gonna go with the least likely thing that's the most difficult to rule out, and you're gonna run with it. Or you're gonna make something up. You're gonna be brilliant at it.
Carly: How's it going?
Michael: Uh, it's good.
Michael: I just, uh, came to grab some coffee.
Carly: Oh, yeah.
Carly: I was hanging out and talking to your grandmother. She's super excited about getting that pin from the hospital. She said you're the only one who hasn't RSVP'd to the party.
Michael: Yeah. Uh, Nelle and I, uh, discussed it. We're not going.
Sharon: Janelle. Long time no see. Oh, except it's "Nelle" now, right? Nelle Hayes?
Sharon: Is that right? Benson, huh? Well, you can change your name all you want, but you can't change what you've done.
Nelle: I didn't do anything, Sharon. Now tell me what are you doing here and what do you want.
Nathan: Spinelli, you can't tell anybody.
Spinelli: Not tell anyone?! Are you out of your mind?! Maxie's my dearest friend, my former love, the mother of my child! I have to tell her!
Nathan: Aah! Spinelli, I don't know what you think is going on --
Spinelli: I know exactly what's going on here, and I have seen you with Nurse Driscoll before.
Nathan: We're just friends!
Spinelli: I overheard what you told her! You are a philanderer, a rake, a skirt-chasing cad!
Nathan: Damn it, Spinelli, I'm not cheating! I'm Ask Man Landers.
