Nelle: Yes. Yes.
Michael: [Scoffs] You know, for two people who supposedly trust each other, that is a hell of a lot for one of them to keep out.
Bobbie: Oh, Monica. Has there been a change?
Monica: [Breathes deeply] Bobbie, I don't... [Voice breaking] I don't know if my son is gonna come back to us.
Bobbie: Oh, honey.
Bobbie: I'm so sorry.
[Knock on door]
Anna: Finn? It's Anna. Can you open the door? I've got something really important to talk to you about.
[Knock on door]
Anna: Finn? Look, I know you're in there. I'm a trained spy.
Finn: All that training, you think you'd know when someone doesn't want to be disturbed!
Anna: [Sighs] Fair warning. I have broken into way more secure doors than this.
Finn: Go away, 'cause I'm not in the mood!
Anna: Yeah, I wouldn't be here if it wasn't really important.
Finn: I'm calling the cops!
Anna: I will be inside before they're even here. Ohh! Oh! Oh! Oh!
Sonny: All right, Milo. How serious was the break-in?
Milo: I'm not sure, boss. The kid claims Josslyn invited him, but that can't be right. Josslyn's too young to date!
Finn: Are you okay?
Anna: [Whimpers] No.
Finn: Okay. Okay, can you move your wrist?
Anna: No! I don't want to. It hurts.
Finn: [Chuckles] Okay. All right, easy. Come on up. Come on up. All right. Okay.
Anna: [Breathes sharply]
Finn: Sit. Sit. Elevate. Here. There you go. Put your arm down.
Anna: [Grunts] [Breathing heavily]
Finn: All right.
Anna: What? Are you just back from somewhere, or are you leaving?
Finn: I just got here.
Anna: Ow! The...
Finn: It appears you have a minor sprain. You can get an MRI if you like, but I recommend you just need a little rice. That's rest, ice --
Anna: I know what it is. I know. So, did you see Hayden? I thought Curtis located her, yeah?
Finn: Do this. False alarm.
Anna: Oh. What? You think she's vanished? Like her father said she would? [Groans]
Finn: I'll get you some ice.
Bobbie: Oh, honey. It never goes away, does it?
Bobbie: No matter how big or how old they get, you see your child lying in there helpless like that...
Monica: [Sniffles] I just think of all the times that, you know, we would kiss the boo-boo, make the pain go away. You know, or jolly them out of whatever was here, hurting them. [Breathes deeply] I just -- I look inside, and I still see that tiny little child that I loved and nurtured.
Bobbie: Yeah. The child that you would give your own life to protect. And you can't. This time, you just can't.
Monica: I know, and I am so angry! Why? Why is this happening again?
Bobbie: Honey, I don't know. It shouldn't be.
Monica: I mean, we -- we have both buried children. You just buried your grandchild not too long ago. I mean, there's something really wrong with that. That's not the -- the order of things.
Bobbie: No, it's not. And yet, somehow, here we are...carrying on.
Monica: Where is the justice in burying a child or a grandchild? Where is the sense of all that?
Nelle: Michael, I have considered telling you this. I-I was just -- I was afraid!
Michael: Afraid? Afraid of what? Afraid of me?
Nelle: Michael, I almost destroyed your parents! You know, it took you months to be able to trust me again. I was afraid if I had told you about Zach, the scandal that I had been running from, that I was a suspect in his death, that there would be no coming back from that! Carly was just getting to the point where she could tolerate me again, and now she probably thinks that I have hurt you... or worse.
Michael: Can you blame her for being concerned? I mean, these -- these are huge, life-altering secrets that you're keeping... I mean, again.
Carly: Milo, this is Oscar Nero. He is a friend of Josslyn's.
Milo: Then why'd he break in? When he saw no one was home, why not just leave, like a civilized person?
Sonny: Take it easy. What ha-- what happened? Tell me.
Milo: [Sighs] The kid -- uh, Oscar, is it? Yeah? Tried to get access by the front door. First, I thought he might be a delivery guy or something. But he did-- he didn't have any packages with him. He didn't knock, either. He just turned the doorknob a couple times. That didn't work. He went around back. That door was unlocked, and just let himself in.
Carly: I've told my mother and Josslyn to lock every door a million times.
Sonny: Okay, what -- what happened then?
Milo: I told him he was trespassing. Then he tried to feed me some story about Josslyn asking him over. She's not even here. That's when I called you.
Sonny: [Sighs] Okay, Oscar, uh, why don't you tell me why you think it's a good idea to break into my wife's house?
Bobbie: Hey, Jason is still with us.
Bobbie: That means he has a chance. We've witnessed medical miracles! And the strength of the human spirit. And Jason is as strong as they come.
Monica: That he is. No question about that.
Bobbie: But to your other point... [Sighs] I don't know. I've wrestled with that, too. How can we ever possibly understand why our children and our grandchildren are taken before us? That's something we're just not privy to, but maybe we'll learn that...
Bobbie: ...When we pass from this life to the other.
Monica: I guess the only way that we really can honor them is -- is to keep on living. To do the best we can for those that they left behind.
Bobbie: That's what I tell myself, too.
Bobbie: And you have Jake and Scout and Danny. I have Josslyn. And we both have Michael.
Michael: I want to know what happened.
Nelle: Zach and I were engaged. We'd even set a date. We wanted to get away before the pre-wedding juggernaut started. So I planned us a trip to Maine. We'd done a lot of ocean kayaking in -- in Florida, but we wanted to go further up north. We brought our own kayaks. Great scenery. Or so we thought. We were wrong. Zach's kayak started to take on water. He was a strong swimmer, but the water was freezing, and it was -- it was too much. [Sighs]
Michael: So he was in the water? Did you -- did you go after him?
Nelle: I couldn't. [Sniffles] I'm not a strong swimmer, and the waves were way too strong. Neither of us were wearing life jackets, which was stupid, I know. And I panicked. I didn't -- I didn't know what to do.
Michael: Well, did you call 911?
Nelle: We didn't take our phones. [Sniffles] Which was also stupid. We left them on the shore. Zach started to flail around, doing everything he wasn't supposed to do. No one was around us. I... he couldn't stay afloat. He was hypothermic.
Michael: And you didn't -- you didn't try to save him?
Nelle: Of course, I did! I reached my oar out, but he couldn't get it. I tried to encourage him to swim to me, but he couldn't do it. I don't -- I did everything that I possibly could. He came up a few more times... till he finally just went under. And I've gone over and over it in my mind... [Breathes shakily] ...Wishing I had done something differently. [Voice breaking] You know -- anything. Just anything that could have saved him.
Michael: Right. Why -- why were his parents suspicious of you?
Nelle: [Sniffles] The plug from his kayak was missing. I don't know if it was an accident or -- or if -- if somebody took it out. But I didn't try and sabotage him. I -- it's not -- it's not like I wanted him to die.
Sonny: I'm sure this is all just a misunderstanding. I don't think you would violate Carly's privacy and -- and break into her home on purpose, would you?
Oscar: No. Absolutely not.
Sonny: Then how did you wind up here, Oscar?
Oscar: Uh, Joss. We made plans to meet after school.
Oscar: She texted me she might be practicing for French class and wearing her headset, so she said to come on in since she might not hear me. When the front door was locked, I figured I'd try around the back. That's when your guard -- I mean your associate -- grabbed me.
Oscar: I'm really sorry.
Sonny: Well, I'm not the one who deserves an apology, 'cause it's not my house. It's Carly's.
Oscar: Mrs. Corinthos, I am so, so sorry.
Carly: Apology accepted.
Sonny: And, uh, my associate, Mr. Giambetti, you -- you know, he has a lot of unnecessary concern over this.
Oscar: I'm sorry.
Milo: I'll forgive you when your story adds up.
Carly: Milo, I don't think Oscar meant any harm.
Milo: I don't mean to contradict you, Mrs. C. But if Josslyn was expecting Oscar, why isn't she here?
Josslyn: Oh, my God! What is happening?! Milo, what are you doing here?
Milo: Security. And it's a good thing, too. This guy is claiming you invited him over. Is that true?
Anna: Okay, I'm sorry I barged in on you.
Finn: Huh. You need ice on your wrist right away so it doesn't swell.
Anna: Okay. You're being very gracious, considering you don't want me here.
Finn: But here you are. So why don't you tell me what's so damn important you had to see me tonight? So, is this little visit about the diamond you found?
Anna: Yes. It's about the diamond. Yes. Um, so, after we went to see Raymond Berlin, I-I gathered some more intel from my WSB contacts. And they confirmed for me that, yes, that diamond was, indeed, stolen in a smash-and-grab robbery in Montenegro. And the Bureau, they believe that it was planned and executed by a group headed up by Valentin Cassadine. Uh, Theo Hart was his name back then.
Finn: Mm, mm. Then shouldn't you be breaking into his residence -- and not mine?
Anna: Okay, well, they've never been -- aah! Don't do that. They've never really been able to find any evidence that linked him to the robberies. Um, they do know how he disposed of the jewels, though -- through a third party, a -- a fence. Uh, her name was Cassandra Pierce.
Finn: Right. I...don't see why I need to know any of this. But, okay. Fine.
Anna: Well, um, Pierce, she managed to find buyers for all those stolen jewels, right?
Anna: And she sold them at a profit. And then she invested her returns in highly illegal commodities available for purchase on the dark web.
Finn: Okay, but was Cassadine involved?
Anna: That's difficult to say, you know, 'cause these people, they're very -- they're very shadowy, they're hard to find. And even harder to charge them with any kind of crime. I'm gonna change that, though.
Finn: Good luck with all that. I still don't know what any of this has to do with me. Look, I... I'm just trying to pick up the shards of my life and try to get back to treating sick people.
Anna: Precisely. And that's why I need you.
Josslyn: I don't know why the message didn't send. Um, I am so sorry. I texted Oscar that I was waiting for him at school, not here, but he never got the text, because the stupid message never got sent. And that's why he came, and I wasn't here.
Milo: So you actually invited him?
Josslyn: Yes, Milo! I actually did! W-why didn't you tell him?
Oscar: I tried.
Milo: I didn't believe him.
Josslyn: Why not?
Milo: Because I caught him breaking into the house! It's my duty to make sure stuff like that doesn't happen!
Carly: And we really appreciate everything you do to keep us safe, Milo. We do. And, Oscar, in the future, you know, you probably shouldn't be breaking into people's house -- especially ours.
Milo: She means this house. 'Cause there's no way you're gonna let yourself into Mr. C's house. It's super-secure.
Oscar: Yeah, I've seen the guards.
Oscar: And the big, high wall.
Oscar: [Sighs] Mr. Corinthos, you said I didn't owe you an apology, but I do. No, not just for tonight, but for that day we met in the park. I should have known who you were before I started acting like a jerk.
Sonny: Oscar, like I told you at the park, you were doing that to protect Josslyn, and I appreciate that. Mm, can I give you a little word of advice? You seem like a smart kid. Use that intelligence. Think before you act.
Oscar: I'll definitely work on that.
Josslyn: Um, I'm sorry. I still don't understand why Milo is all of a sudden patrolling our house. [Gasps] Oh, wait. Does all this extra security have to do with Jason? Did he...
Carly: No. Everything's still the same. Everything's still the same.
Josslyn: Oh. I'm so sorry.
Josslyn: Um, Jason is my godfather. The one in the hospital I told you about.
Sonny: Can I have a word with Josslyn just for -- I need to talk to her for a second.
Carly: Yeah. And I should have a conversation with Oscar. Come on.
Sonny: Check the grounds, will you?
Milo: Sure thing, boss.
Sonny: Hi, Josslyn. How are you? Um, we've done really well lately, haven't we?
Sonny: But I'm gonna level with you. Even if it means that you'll -- you'll hate me again.
Michael: Well, the fact that the plug was missing from the kayak raises questions. You said that the water was icy and rough. That's a matter of public record. You can verify that with the weather service. And you also said that you and Zach, you weren't familiar with the area. All that points to an accident. So why were the police investigating you?
Nelle: Uh, because his family never liked me.
Michael: You need a lot more than "dislike" to get the police involved.
Nelle: A few weeks before Zach died, he made me the beneficiary of his will.
Michael: [Scoffs] That changes things.
Nelle: I didn't want his money! I-it was his idea. I mean, yeah, sure, it was -- it was exciting, being around a rich family, you know, spending time in a mansion, you know, with rooms they didn't even need, a personal chef, a housekeeper. I mean, it was all -- it was all new to me.
Michael: Please. Just like our trip to Morocco, those luxury accommodations -- that was all "new to you," was it?
Nelle: The biggest trip Zach and I ever took was the one we took to Maine. You know, we were -- we were planning on traveling after the wedding.
Michael: How soon after Zach died did his parents accuse you of killing him?
Nelle: Almost immediately. They never cared for me. Never thought I was good enough for their son, so they came after me. Hard. Because of the will. And because they had all the clout, the police came after me, too. And you want to know the worst part? I wasn't even allowed to go to his funeral.
Michael: Did you love Zach?
Nelle: [Sniffles] I-I thought I did. Zach made me happier than I'd ever been -- up until that point. He was good to me, and I-I thought that was enough. I didn't know what I didn't know about...love.
Anna: So, Cassandra Pierce, she lives in Monaco. She's very wealthy, and -- and she's a virtual recluse. Uh, she doesn't socialize. She's gonna be very difficult to approach.
Finn: Hmm. You have your work cut out for you.
Finn: Maybe take a refresher course at the college or something. But I still don't see how this relates to me.
Anna: Look, I have to make contact with Ms. Pierce, okay? I have to. But my sources tell me that I have zero to no chance of getting to her on my own. However, she's a hypochondriac. She's in constant contact with doctors.
Finn: Ah. No!
Anna: Oh, she would most likely respond. She'd be so welcoming to someone of your renowned stature.
Finn: Oh, you're just getting condescending with me now. And -- and, what, you'd come along as a -- a...what? A nurse? Or my personal assistant?
Finn: You're asking me to be a spy.
Anna: No. I'm asking you to be a doctor.
Monica: You know, I'd like to think I'm doing my part with the grandchildren. 'Cause I love spending time with Jake, Danny, Scout. I'm very blessed to have them in my life. Jason, on the other hand, I've -- I've had to learn to live and let live in order to keep a relationship open.
Bobbie: Well, I've had to bite my tongue for years. For the same reason you worry about Jason -- his ties to Sonny.
Monica: [Breathes deeply] Sometimes, I think maybe -- maybe if I'd taken a chance and I'd pushed -- pushed harder with Jason, maybe... well, maybe he'd be safe today.
Bobbie: No, Monica. You can't take that on. We have to stand by our choices. And besides, we're both pretty smart cookies.
Monica: We are, aren't we? Always were...still are.
Bobbie: Not to say we haven't made our share of past mistakes.
Monica: Yes, but we -- we have managed to stay friends. Even though I did accuse you of sleeping with Alan.
Bobbie: Yeah, well, you and Tony did find me in a hotel room, dressed in lingerie, sipping champagne with him. That wasn't too far of a leap.
Monica: [Chuckles] Well, I was partially responsible for that, because I pushed Alan away.
Bobbie: You had breast cancer!
Monica: I know.
Bobbie: You had to focus on yourself.
Monica: So much has happened, Bobbie.
Bobbie: Hey, we're still standing.
Nelle: Do you believe I killed Zach?
Michael: You know, it's, um -- it's getting late. I should get to the hospital if I'm gonna see Jason.
Nelle: Right. Yeah, I know. I know he's important to you.
Michael: Do you want to come with me?
Nelle: Yes, of course. Of course.
Michael: [Breathes deeply] I know he might not hear me, but I just want him to know how much he means to me. How much his life influenced mine. He took risks. With life... and love. I've always been able to count on him to give me some hard advice.
Nelle: Like now?
Michael: I know he might not wake up and talk to me, but I know exactly what he'd tell me. He'd tell me to do what I think is right and trust my instincts. [Breathes deeply] So, to answer your question, Nelle... ...no. I don't think you killed your fiancé. Okay? I believe you. And I believe in you.
Nelle: [Voice breaking] Oh, Michael, thank you. I was so afraid I had lost you for good this time.
Michael: But you won't. You didn't.
Carly: Sorry about the misunderstanding. You know, tensions have been running pretty high lately.
Oscar: No problem.
Oscar: Like the, uh, associate said -- I should have thought it through before I "broke and entered."
Oscar: My mom would be really upset that I almost committed a felony.
Carly: I can call her and explain everything to her, if you want me to.
Oscar: No. No, no, no. That's okay. She's busy with work right now. You know, it's not like anything really happened here.
Carly: Does your mom know that you're spending time with Josslyn?
Oscar: She knows I have a friend who's a girl.
Carly: Does she know Josslyn's last name? Does she know that her stepfather is Sonny?
Sonny: Okay, um, you're not a kid anymore, so I'm not gonna treat you like one. I put something in motion that kind of got out of control.
Josslyn: Is that why Jason got hurt?
Sonny: Yeah. Somebody was after me, and he -- he saved my life.
Josslyn: Is -- is he gonna be all right?
Sonny: I honestly don't know.
Josslyn: Yeah, I-I just feel so bad for Jason. And everyone who loves him. Including you.
Sonny: I'm doing everything I can to resolve this, but that's why I've added extra security. And I'm sorry Oscar had to get caught in the middle of this, but, uh... and you're gonna have to deal with Milo keeping an eye on you.
Sonny: Well, it's not gonna be forever. But that's why, uh, you know, I... I feel it's my job to protect the people that I love.
Josslyn: Yeah, well, you be careful, too. Deal?
Anna: We should really look on this as -- as a good opportunity, right, for both of us.
Finn: That's what you said when you talked me into taking you to see Raymond Berlin, and we ended up with a big fat nothing.
Anna: But this time you're gonna be using your considerable talents as a doctor.
Finn: To treat a hypochondriac. Look, Anna, you don't know me, but this whole year has been one heartache after another. I'm barely standing at this point. The last thing I want to do is put myself in a situation where something else is gonna blow up in my face.
Anna: It won't! I'll be standing right next to you.
Finn: I appreciate your professional dedication. I do. At this point, I recommend that you ice your wrist for 15 minutes every two hours. I would keep that bandage on for at least two days.
Anna: I know how to deal with a sprain. I've had them before. But thank you. I am very grateful for all of this.
Finn: Are you?
Finn: Well, if you are grateful, then you'll do me a favor and just leave me in my solitude. As in now.
Anna: If -- if you change your mind about --
Finn: I won't. Good night, Anna.
Anna: Good night.
Oscar: The fireflies must have gone to wherever they go for the rest of the year.
Josslyn: Where do they go?
Oscar: That's a good question. We could Google it and find out.
Josslyn: Or we can talk about what happened at my mom's house. And why I suddenly feel like Sasha or Malia.
Oscar: I've never felt so safe. [Chuckles]
Josslyn: [Sighs] Seriously, uh, this is -- this is a lot to handle. I mean, I've always known what Sonny's done, ever since I was old enough to figure it out. Oh, I'm so sorry you got caught up in all of this.
Oscar: I'm okay. Hey, Milo! See? Me and Milo -- we're good.
Josslyn: You sure? [Chuckles] I'm so sorry. That -- that must have been pretty scary.
Oscar: No kidding. I-I mean, it's one thing to know Sonny Corinthos firsthand. I mean, I was a jerk to him before I knew who he was in the park, and he was cool about it. But, as I learned tonight, when it comes down to protecting his family... you don't want to be on his bad side, at all.
Josslyn: Look, if -- if you want to call things off, I -- I'd totally understand.
Sonny: Did everything go good with Oscar?
Sonny: Is he okay?
Carly: Yeah. He's fine. Although I don't think he's given his mother the pertinent details of Josslyn's life, you know -- specifically who her stepfather is.
Should we contact her? Introduce ourselves?
Carly: No. I don't think we need to do that yet. I mean, if Josslyn and Oscar keep spending time together, we're gonna have to make that call. I mean, I know I would be furious. If the roles were reversed, and Josslyn was dating some crime lord's kid, I would be furious.
Sonny: Did you -- you just call me a "crime lord"?
Carly: [Laughs] I did. Well, I mean, I'm just afraid that's how Oscar's mom is gonna see it, you know?
Sonny: So am I.
Carly: Mm-hmm. Well, one problem at a time, right? So, how's Josslyn?
Sonny: Uh, well, we had a good talk. She seems to understand, and it was like she was being her old self with me.
Carly: Oh, I love that.
Sonny: I mean, she -- you know, she's concerned about Jason, which I don't blame her. It's like Michael. You know, he's calm on the outside, but it's taking its toll on the inside, right?
Carly: Yeah, and I'm afraid I made it worse by telling him everything we found out about Nelle.
.Are you still worried about that?
Carly: Absolutely. Some things are too important not to tell, Sonny.
Michael: Okay. You don't mind waiting out here?
Nelle: No. Not at all. I'm glad you want me here.
Michael: Of course. I'll be back.
Nelle: Right. [Sighs]
Bobbie: Well, this is just perfect, isn't it? The grieving family. Michael's more vulnerable than ever. Fits right in with your MO, doesn't it?
Bobbie: We know all about you, Nelle. All about Zachary Grant's suspicious death.
Bobbie: And Michael will find out about it. Even if I have to be the one to tell him. So you can keep skating on thin ice, or you can take this opportunity to leave this town and our lives forever.
Nelle: You must be a bitter, lonely, miserable woman to want to destroy your own grandson's happiness. Why don't you find what's missing in your own life instead of meddling in ours?
Bobbie: I'm protecting my grandson from the likes of you, you trailer-trash gold-digger!
Nelle: [Scoffs] You know what? Believe what you want to believe. I don't care anymore.
Bobbie: Michael. I am so sorry to have to be the one to tell you this, but...
Michael: I already know: Nelle had a fiancé who died in a boating accident, and they accused Nelle of killing him, but she didn't.
Bobbie: Is that what Nelle told you?
Michael: I believe her.
Bobbie: Well, then you're making a big mistake. If Nelle says she didn't kill Zachary Grant, then assume she did, and she's lying to cover it up, just like she's lied about everything since she hit Port Charles.
Nelle: Look. Hey, I don't pretend to be perfect -- not even close. And I know that I have done some stupid and destructive things, but I never killed Zach.
Bobbie: Oh, listen to you, all put upon. Playing the victim -- right on schedule.
Michael: Okay, look, Grandma, w-- we have no idea what's in store for any of us. Right? At any moment, we can end up like Jason. Or Morgan.
Bobbie: I'm trying to make sure you don't end up like them.
Michael: Okay, I-I-I chose to believe in Nelle. I-I understand that you don't agree with that. But I cannot stand here and let you attack her.
Bobbie: So, what are you saying?
Michael: I'm saying that we're all very emotional right now, and I think we just need to take a step back.
Michael: And I know that's hard for you, and I know you are very determined to protect me, but, grandma, I am asking you to trust me to make my own decisions.
Bobbie: Okay. Okay. I'll back off. For your sake, I pray I don't regret it.
Nelle: Michael? Are you okay?
Oscar: There's no way I'm gonna stop seeing you -- just because I was dumb enough to break into your house and piss off your stepfather's "associate."
Josslyn: You can just call him a bodyguard.
Oscar: He seems really protective of you.
Josslyn: Well, he is. Max and Milo have been guarding Sonny ever since I was born. So, I mean, they've known me since I was a baby.
Oscar: Yeah, that's not intimidating at all. Knowing they'll break my kneecaps if I mess thing up with you.
Josslyn: They won't! I wouldn't let them. Besides, you're not gonna mess anything up.
Oscar: I hope not. I like being with you, Josslyn.
Josslyn: I like being with you, too.
Finn: I'm sorry, Roxy. I know I promised you we were gonna move into that big house, and you were gonna get that new terrarium... but, you know, all those plans just got...put on hold. We're gonna have to figure out a way to rebuild our lives a little, you know? Get by without Hayden. And it sure as hell -- it... [Sniffles] It's not gonna happen by going to treat some hypochondriac criminal in Monaco. Anna must be out of her mind if she thinks I'd go for something like that. [Sighs]
Anna: No, Robert. I-I have no intention of giving up on Hamilton Finn. [Sighs] I will get him to cooperate. One way or the other. I promise.
Monica: I am so sorry I had to flake on us going for coffee. But at least this came from my own coffee machine in my own office.
Bobbie: Oh, thank you.
Monica: There you go. I just was going over Jason's charts, and, uh, all of a sudden, I just couldn't leave him.
Bobbie: I understand.
Monica: Now, you are looking upset. Did something happen while I was the office?
Bobbie: I had a run-in with our mutual grandson, but that is another story for another day. I just don't understand how we're supposed to watch out for our children when they don't want our help.
Monica: Ha! Well, if you find out the answer to that, would you please give me a call?
Nelle: Sorry. I know the last thing you needed to do was to defend me to your grandmother.
Michael: No, hey, look, you don't have to apologize. Like, I-I believe you. And I know you've had your fair share of hard times in the past. But, as long as you're straight with me, I will always believe you.
Nelle: Okay. Okay. Then I need to be straight with you about something else.
Nelle: Earlier, when I said that I thought I loved Zach... it's because I didn't know what love was. I-it took you to show me what -- what real love is supposed to be. I want to prove to you that you can trust me again, and -- and I won't let you down. [Breathes deeply] [Voice breaking] I love you, Michael.
Michael: I love you, Nelle.
Carly: How much do you want to bet that Nelle's working overtime to convince Michael that she is an innocent victim, a target of unfair accusations? And Michael, he's so fair and forgiving... almost to a fault.
Sonny: Michael's gonna make his own decisions about Nelle, Carly.
Carly: [Scoffs] What if he makes the wrong decision?
Sonny: Well, it's not like nelle's a murderer. She's a piece of work, but I don't think she's a cold-blooded killer.
Carly: Okay, I hear you, all right? But my mom -- my mom thinks that with everything going on with Jason, that Nelle's gonna use this time to strike, just like she did when Morgan died.
Sonny: We're not losing Michael. Just like we're not losing Jason.
Carly: What about you? You are the target. You know? Has the situation... "stabilized"?
