Nina: So, I had everybody go away. We're alone, so you guys could feel comfortable. "Ask Man Landers" is not just, you know, and advice columnist with a book. "Ask Man Landers" is a labor of love. It's really lovely what you're doing for your brother, Amy.
Amy: Well, it wouldn't be possible without your brother.
Nina: Right. That's why I'm gonna protect my brother and make sure that no one will ever find out that you are the face of "Ask Man Landers."
[Knock on door]
Nelle: Hey, Nina? It's Nelle. It's really urgent. Can I -- can I come in?
Ned: Could I ask all of you for a huge favor?
Dante: Don't worry about it. We already all know, right? No one says anything about the headline to my mother, right?
Charlotte: Why don't you want Nonna to know that she got her picture in the paper?
Lulu: Well, because today is a very special day for her, and we want her to focus on the wedding.
Dillon: And not on this...
Olivia: Okay, okay. Getting arrested in your underwear the night before your wedding... that's not a bad sign. It's not a bad sign.
[Knock on door]
Laura: Olivia, are you decent?
Olivia: Hey! About what happened last night, I can totally explain all of that.
Monica: What do you mean? What happened?
Laura: Did something happen last night?
Olivia: Yeah. Well, you know, after I had couple too many martinis, you got me a room here.
Laura: Yeah, and I put you to bed.
Olivia: Well, after that, there was a knock on the door. And I opened the door, and there was a fireman standing there.
Olivia: And, apparently, there had been a fire in one of the other rooms, and he was just checking around to make sure that the fire hadn't spread. But -- but in my inebriated state, I assumed that he was the stripper that you guys hired for my bachelorette party.
Monica: Oh, no.
Kiki: Oh, no.
Kiki: You didn't!
Olivia: So -- so I may have gotten a little bit, uh, "aggressive" with his physical person.
Olivia: And he got offended, and he had me arrested!
Monica: Oh, you're kidding.
Laura: Oh, for goodness' sake. Are you serious?
Olivia: You guys didn't hear anything about this?
Laura: News to me.
Monica: No, and Cook is all over social media, and she didn't mention a thing.
Olivia: Okay. Okay, good, good. Okay, okay. So then maybe no one else has even heard about it either!
Olivia: [Laughs] Okay. All right.
Carly: Josslyn, are you sure you don't want to go to Olivia's wedding with me?
Carly: Oh, come on. Olivia adores you. It'll mean the world to her if you come.
Josslyn: This isn't about Olivia. I don't want to go with you and him.
Carly: Okay, you know what? We've been over this. Sonny and I are together. Now, you don't have to like it...
Josslyn: I don't like it.
Carly: ...But you can't be disrespectful. Look at me. Sonny and I are going to Ned and Olivia's wedding. He's coming here to pick me up. So I at least expect you to be civil, okay?
Josslyn: Okay. But just because I'm being polite doesn't mean I approve. At all.
Josslyn: You're missing an earring, by the way.
Carly: What? Oh, gosh. That's what I get for waiting till the last minute to get ready.
[Cell phone beeps]
Laura: You were at your bachelorette party and had a little too much to drink, and you made an honest mistake with a fireman. [Sighs] Unfortunately, he had no sense of humor.
Olivia: Exactly. Yeah, it's just I didn't want the whole wide world to hear about it, right, the day before my wedding, you know?
Monica: Well, no one's gonna hear anything from me.
Kiki: Me either.
Laura: Or me.
Kiki: Hey, Olivia, I cannot wait to see your dress.
Olivia: Yeah, that makes two of us. It should have been here by now.
Ned: Are you absolutely sure Olivia hasn't seen the news?
Lulu: It wasn't easy. My mom and I moved heaven and earth to keep it out of her hands. And all electronic devices, too.
Dante: Yeah. When I find out who took that picture and leaked it to the press, there is gonna be hell to pay.
Charlotte: I don't understand what happened. Is Nonna in trouble?
Dante: No. I'm sorry, Charlotte. No. There was a mix-up, and it's all been straightened out.
Lulu: We just need to keep it a secret so that Nonna and Ned can have a happy wedding.
Ned: Thank you, everyone. I really appreciate it.
Michael: Here. I just hope it's the only potential crisis tonight.
Dillon: Yeah, did you warn your parents that Nelle is coming?
Michael: [Chuckles] I don't -- I don't run my dates past my parents.
Charlotte: Nelle's coming?!
Michael: Yes. Yes, she is. It's our first family outing.
Lulu: You finally got together. I'm happy for you.
Charlotte: Me, too. Who wouldn't be?
Nina: I told you to go home early so you could get ready for the wedding.
Nelle: I did. But I forgot about the September ad for the Cartullo agreement, so you need to sign it 'cause it's due tonight.
Nina: Oh, gosh. Okay, I forgot all about it.
Nelle: Mm-hmm. Yeah, me, too.
Nina: Yeah. I guess we're both distracted. Are you excited about the wedding?
Nelle: Eh, I guess.
Nina: Oh, you guess? Go home! Put on your best dress. If you look good, you feel good.
Nelle: Yeah, I did. This is my best dress.
Nina: Oh. Hmm.
Nelle: But was it not -- is it not good enough?
Nina: Oh, it's fine. It's fine, it's fine. But you know what? Say goodbye to good enough and say hello to designer samples. You're gonna walk into that wedding, and you're gonna blow Michael's mind.
Sonny: How are you?
Josslyn: I'm grounded, and I can't move to Australia, because my dad's spending the next six months in Abu Dhabi, because he can't work in America. But other than that, life's perfect.
Sonny: You're unhappy, right? And I'm the reason? You don't want me to be with your mother?
Josslyn: And watch her get hurt again? No, I don't.
Sonny: That stunt I pulled on your dad -- you have every right to be angry. As a matter of fact, that's the reason I did it -- 'cause I was angry. I was trying to come to terms, you know, with losing Morgan and, on top of that, losing your mother. And I lashed out, because I was hurt. And I know it doesn't excuse my actions, but it's the truth. And I feel real bad for hurting you. I just hope that, one day, you'll be able to forgive me.
Josslyn: Okay. Thank you for your apology.
Sonny: I know you need more than words, and I'm gonna do everything I can to make it better for you. The only thing I can promise you right now is that I'm gonna be good to you and your mother.
Josslyn: Isn't that what you always say?
Sonny: Yeah, I know, I know. [Stammers] You don't have to believe me. I'm just gonna keep proving it until you do. [Sighs] And I just hope that you'll come around and accept that your mom and I are getting back together.
Josslyn: Got it.
Carly: Hey. You're here. Everything okay?
Sonny: Yeah. You know, I'm doing what I can.
Carly: Yeah, I know. Laura's coming to drop off Avery in a little while. You're gonna be okay to get Avery to bed?
Josslyn: I'll be fine, Mom. I know all of Avery's favorite bedtime stories.
Carly: No going out before.
Josslyn: I'm grounded. Where would I go?
Carly: Your grandmother's working. I'm going out. We're trusting you, okay?
Josslyn: Yes, Mom. You've told me that. Like, ten times.
Carly: [Sighs] Baby, things are gonna get better.
Josslyn: I hope so.
Carly: I love you.
Josslyn: Yep. Goodbye.
Carly: [Sighs] Let's go.
Dillon: This showed up at the house. It's from Mom, addressed to both you and Olivia.
Ned: Oh. Which means Mother must be embracing my marriage.
Nina: Um, I'll be back in with you guys. I need to help my assistant out with something. So just...
Nathan: No, Max, I promise I'm not -- Maxie, I promise -- I'm not working too hard. Matter of fact, I am in my sister's office right now. Uh, you know, just catching up and just trying to keep her mind off of Valentin. Yeah, yeah. I should probably get going, too. Love you.
Amy: I don't think we should do this anymore.
Nathan: W-what? Why? We're doing this to help your brother.
Amy: And you know how much I want to help Chet, but now you're lying to your wife because of me.
Nina: Hey, how's the dress fit?
Nelle: Like it was made for me.
Nina: [Gasps] Nelle. [Chuckles] You look beautiful.
Nelle: Thank you so much for letting me borrow this.
Nina: Oh, my gosh. Oh, my God. It's my pleasure. Are you kidding me? It's my pleasure to help dress you. And, besides, I have really good taste, so you're lucky.
Nelle: Well, you are brilliant. There's no question about that.
Nina: And for just a couple seconds, I stopped thinking about Valentin.
Olivia: How could this have happened?! That's it. That's it. You guys, the wedding is off.
Lulu: Oh, no. What happened? Did she see the...
Laura: Shh! The wedding dress didn't arrive.
Olivia: They guaranteed! They guaranteed that the wedding dress was gonna be here on time. They promised! They swore! They vowed!
Laura: Listen. Let's not panic. There's still time. Tell me, where was the dress coming from?
Olivia: New York City, Dream Brides.
Laura: Dream Brides.
Lulu: I'm gonna call them right now.
Laura: Okay. Thank you, honey.
Olivia: Okay. You know, I know -- I know that I ordered the dress late. I thought I was gonna be wearing my cousin Violetta's dress, but, obviously, that was a bit of a bust.
Charlotte: I liked it.
Olivia: Oh, sweet pea. You are so adorable. But you know what? It just wasn't my cup of tea.
Kiki: Hey, do you have a tracking number? I could get on their website and see where it is.
Olivia: Oh, good idea.
Monica: And I am gonna check with the front desk. I know it's old school, but it just might be there.
Lulu: Yes, the last name is Falconeri.
Olivia: Do you see anything?
Kiki: Um, you know, this browser isn't working. It just keeps redirecting me.
Olivia: Wait a minute.
Kiki: Oh, never mind. Never mind.
Olivia: Wait a minute. Wait a minute.
Kiki: No, that's fine. Never mind.
Olivia: Is that me?!
Lulu: Olivia, I am so sorry to tell you this, but the van that was carrying your wedding dress broke down three hours from here.
Olivia: I -- uh... Kiki, I don't have my reading glasses on right now. Wh-- what does this say?
Kiki: That? Oh, um, that's just a tag line trying to get people to view the article.
Olivia: And what is the tag line?
Kiki: Um... "over 500,000 people have seen this story... have you?"
Monica: Oh, Nina.
Monica: Thank God you're here.
Monica: Listen, I need your help! We have a -- a fashion emergency!
Dillon: Wow. Monogrammed with both Olivia's and your initials. Leave it to our mother to put the Quartermaine stamp on everything.
Ned: You know, I wish she could be here. But at the same time, I know she's happy starting her new life, whatever that may be. She is still our mother.
Dillon: Of course, she's gonna put in her two cents.
Ned: Oh. Yes. "Dear Ned, I'm so sorry I can't be there today in person, but I'll be with you in spirit, wishing you well. I may not have expressed it as exuberantly as I should have before I left, but I'm thrilled you and Olivia are making a life together. Much love, Mother. PS, I've reserved a bottle of the restaurant's best champagne [Laughs] For your wedding toast." Well, our mother certainly rose to the occasion.
Ned: I think she's happy for me.
Dillon: I think she's happy for both of you. There's another card in there for Olivia.
Dante: Looks like everything's working out just fine, right?
[Cell phone beeping]
Dante: Oh. Or maybe not.
Ned: What do you mean?
Dante: See for yourself.
Ned: Oh, damn.
Olivia: How am I supposed to get married today? I look -- I look like an absolute lunatic!
Kiki: No, no, no. It's really not that bad. You know, so many people would kill to have a story about them go viral.
Olivia: Not in an underwear with a plastic crown and a feather boa! The cop thought I was some kind of a 50-cent hooker! I have brought shame to the Quartermaines, and I'm not even one of them yet!
Laura: Oh, listen. Trust me, those Quartermaines have done so much worse!
Olivia: No. No, no, no, no. This is god's way of telling me. This is a sign telling me that I'm not supposed to get married.
Lulu: Oh. No, no. Olivia, don't say that. You and Ned are so good together.
Olivia: Yes. Ned's been married before, and they've all ended in divorce.
Laura: That doesn't mean that yours will.
Olivia: Every woman in this room has been married before. How many of them have lasted?
Lulu: I [Stammers] I married Dante twice, so technically...
Olivia: Yeah, and there was pain, and there was suffering, and there was despair! After all of the vows and the promises to stay together forever, all that happens -- it always get broken!
[Knock on door]
Ned: Olivia! Lulu texted Dante. I know about everything. Can I come in? I know it's bad luck for us to see each other before the ceremony, so I promise you I'm going to keep my back turned.
Olivia: It doesn't matter if you see me or not. The wedding's off!
[Oscar texts Josslyn and invites her to go out with him.]
Sonny: Okay. Looks like we're the first ones here.
Carly: Yeah. Okay, so, what do you think?
Sonny: I think you look beautiful tonight.
Carly: I meant the room. I had it decorated as a gift for Olivia.
Sonny: I'm not surprised what you did for Olivia, 'cause you're very generous and thoughtful, and that's who you are.
Carly: I wish my daughter shared your high opinion of me.
Sonny: Well, you know what? Joss has been through a lot, as you know, and she's been pushed and pulled...
Sonny: ...Ever since Morgan died.
Carly: [Sighs] I know. I know she needs some time. [Breathes deeply]
Sonny: Could you not worry? 'Cause this is our first night out together in months.
Carly: You're right. It is.
Sonny: Yeah. Come on.
Carly: I do want to spend tonight just enjoying my time with you.
Michael: Wow. You look incredible!
Nelle: Well, thank you. I had a lot of help.
Michael: Shall we?
Sonny: It's just beautiful.
Carly: Hell no.
Olivia: Tracy already doesn't think that I'm good enough for you.
Ned: Oh, my mother has made plenty of mistakes in her life. Things far worse than groping a fireman.
Laura: He's not just saying that, Olivia. Far worse.
Olivia: Okay. What about my dress? Maybe I should just get married in a plastic crown and a feather boa and my underwear! Then everyone in the world would recognize me!
Ned: I don't care about a little scandal. Or a missing wedding dress. I adore you, Olivia Falconeri. You could walk down the aisle wearing a Metro Court robe and a pillowcase for a veil, and you would still be the most beautiful bride in the world to me. And I would still be the happiest man in the universe. Everything is going to be okay.
Olivia: [Sighs] You really think so?
Ned: Yes. I know so.
Olivia: Well, what about my dress?
Monica: Aha! I think I have a solution.
Olivia: [Gasps] Is that a...
Monica: I got an idea. I went to Crimson, asked for Nina's help, and, lo and behold, she had this, what I think is a gorgeous gown, in your size.
Ned: I'm sure it'll be perfect! Olivia, let's get married.
Olivia: Okay. Okay. Ned! You get outta here! I got a wedding dress, and I gotta get ready! [Laughs]
Amy: What kind of advice columnist am I? I'm asking you to lie to your wife!
Nathan: Amy, it's gonna be fine, okay? Look, listen to me. When I see Maxie face-to-face, I'll explain this whole "Ask Man Landers" situation and how we're doing it to help your brother. And because Maxie is an even better person than you realize, she's gonna be totally fine. She'll totally understand.
Nina: Okay. I'm sorry that took so long. [Sighing]
Nathan: Oh. You don't look like you're in the middle of a work crisis.
Nina: Yeah, just the opposite. You know, I've been so bummed out about Valentin, I forgot how good it feels to actually help somebody. I feel so much better.
Nathan: Huh? Listen to my sister. Yeah, I'm doing you a favor 'cause I want to help you and I want to help your brother. But it helps me, too. Right? Otherwise, I'd just be home missing Maxie. So this is good. It gives me something else to focus on. Right? I mean, we're kind of in the same boat.
Olivia: Okay. It may take all six of us, but all we got to do is get me into that gorgeous dress.
Kiki: Hey, not until we uphold all the traditions.
Charlotte: What are those?
Lulu: Well, when a bride gets married, she needs something old, something new, something borrowed, and something blue -- for good luck! And I have the "something old."
Olivia: [Gasps] [Voice breaking] Those are Connie's.
Lulu: She said that you always loved them, so she gave them to Dante for safekeeping.
Olivia: [Gasps] You're gonna spoil my makeup. I'm gonna cry. [Sniffles]
Charlotte: I'll be your something new!
Olivia: Oh, sweetheart. You are the best something new that I could ever imagine. Really.
Laura: And from one grandma to another. Something borrowed.
Olivia: Thank you, Laura.
Laura: Mm-hmm. You're very welcome.
Lulu: Okay, so we just need the something blue.
Kiki: All right. Hold out your leg.
Charlotte: What is that for?
Monica: Oh, honey. Honey, it's just a tradition. You'll see what it's about at the reception.
Olivia: Thank you all. I cannot believe that this day is finally here!
Lulu: You're getting married!
Monica: You're getting married.
Olivia: I am getting married!
Carly: I didn't expect to see you here with Nelle.
Michael: We're dating.
Carly: I can see that. Is this phase three of your revenge plan?
Michael: Mom, stop. I respect your choices, even when I don't agree with them. I'd like for you to return the courtesy.
Sonny: You know what, Michael? You can feel the way you want to feel, but you got to respect why this is so difficult for me and your mother. She's done a lot of damage -- and she did it on purpose.
Nelle: I was wrong. I know that. And I hope that, one day, I can make amends.
Michael: Okay, let's get a drink.
Carly: What the hell is he thinking? How could he bring her here?
Sonny: You know Michael. When he has something on his mind, he doesn't change it.
Carly: She's gonna hurt him. You know she's gonna hurt him.
Sonny: Well, then he's gonna get hurt, and he's gonna deal with it. Last thing you want to do is interfere.
Josslyn: Hi, Oscar. Are those for me?
Josslyn: Thank you.
Oscar: They were from the woods over there. Surrounded by lightning bugs.
Josslyn: They're beautiful. I love summer. You know -- the sounds, smells, no school.
Oscar: I know. I mean, it's good to get a break. I got here super early and was starting to think you weren't coming.
Josslyn: Oh, I wouldn't do that... not to you.
Carly: I was really looking forward to this wedding...
Sonny: We can still enjoy ourselves.
Carly: Really? With Nelle and Michael over there?
Sonny: Yeah. We can think of the good and just that we're here together. That's it.
Carly: That should be enough to console me.
Sonny: That's not enough?
Carly: Getting better.
Laura: Hello, Sonny.
Sonny: Oh, hi.
Laura: Hi. [Laughs] So, would I be correct in assuming that the two of you are back together?
Sonny: We're definitely back together.
Laura: Oh. Yes! Congratulations. This makes me very happy.
Carly: Thank you.
[Wagner's "Bridal Chorus" plays]
Olivia: Where's Lulu?
Dante: I'm sorry, Ma. She wasn't feeling good. I told her to go lie down.
Dante: Now, are you ready to go do this?
Olivia: I just need a minute to take it all in. It's so beautiful.
Officiant: We are gathered here today to celebrate the wedding of Olivia Maria Falconeri and Edward Lawrence Quartermaine.
Olivia: [Breathes deeply] Ned... you were never the man of my dreams... because you are better than any man I could have ever dreamed of. You are so generous, so kind, funny, and so good to our little Leo. [Sniffles] And patient. [Sighs] My God, you waited for me through thick and thin. [Voice breaking] And it is not fair what I put you through. But it's what I needed to get to this point. Where I can marry you with my heart wide-open. No doubts. No hesitations. You have erased all my fears and replaced them with your unwavering love. [Sniffles] Ned Quartermaine, I will love you forever.
Officiant: Ned, your turn.
Ned: Actually, I have something different in mind.
Nina: We're totally not in the same boat.
Amy & Nathan: We totally are!
Nina: We totally are not. You have a beautiful, wonderful, if not flawed, wife who's in Portland, who's coming back eventually. Valentin's not coming back -- ever. So, anyway, I just have to move on.
Amy: At least you have someone to move on from.
Nina: You don't have anybody special in your life?
Amy: Nope. [Laughs] Just my brother. I work, I visit Chet, and I go home and dole out advice.
Nathan: I had no idea. You got to get out more, you know? I mean, I know single life isn't easy, but that doesn't mean you should just go out and do stuff just to meet people. You should do something that you enjoy, you know? For you, maybe that's choir. I don't -- look. Whatever you do, you should get involved in a cause that you believe in, right, 'cause that's when people are at their most attractive. When they're doing something that they believe in and they love.
Nina: My god.
Nathan: What? What?
Nina: Is it just me, or does he sound like "Ask Man Landers"?
Oscar: You can see the whole city from up here...
Josslyn: You sound surprised.
Oscar: I've only been up here in the daytime. And, yeah, you can see the city, but it's different at night...
Oscar: ...With all the lights...
Josslyn: It's like we're the only two people in the world up here. Like we can get away from everything...
Oscar: How are things going? With you and your mom...
Josslyn: Oh, I don't want to bore you by talking about all of my drama.
Oscar: I'm not bored.
Josslyn: Still... why don't we talk about your drama, instead?
Oscar: Who says I have any?
Josslyn: Well, do you?
Oscar: It's just my mom and me... and, honestly, sometimes it's hard.
Josslyn: Where's your dad?
Oscar: I... I don't know. He was just a guy my mom knew for a while. I never met him.
Josslyn: Well, I-I guess I'm lucky then. I have two dads. One good, one bad. Plus, I have two brothers... I mean, I had two brothers. [Voice breaking] Now, I just have one.
[Piano music plays]
Ned: [Singing] What can I feel about something I never felt? Who can tell me the words to say? Could this be the moment I waited for? 'Cause it's not like me to lose my way I'm not used to all you are come, love closer now, forever we're just starting out I've always struggled when troubled been too afraid I'm used to taking the easier way but you're what I need I won't run away 'cause I know you see through all of me the good and the bad and the in-between come, love closer now, forever we're just starting out, yeah let me catch my breathless feelings now I understand just who I am just who I am, mm-hmm let me catch my breathless feelings now I understand just who I am just who I am
[Music ends, applause]
Olivia: I, Olivia, take you, Ned, to be my partner in life and my one true love. I will cherish our friendship. I love you today, and I will love you tomorrow, and forever.
Officiant: Ned, do you promise to love, honor, cherish, and protect Olivia?
Ned: I do.
Olivia: I do.
Ned: With this ring...
Olivia: I thee wed.
Officiant: By the power vested in me by the state of New York, I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.
Charlotte: Yay, Nonna!
Nathan: I was just suggesting that, Amy -- I don't know -- do more stuff you like and get more involved.
Nina: Amy, I think he likes it.
Amy: Me, too.
Nina: Being "Ask Man Landers."
[Camera shutter clicking]
Sonny: Carly, Carly. Forget about them. Let's be happy for Ned and Olivia.
Carly: I know. You're right. It was a wonderful ceremony. It was.
Sonny: Well, maybe we should renew our wedding vows. Let everybody see that we're starting over.
Sonny: I don't know. I mean, you know.
Carly: I think I'd love that. Just as soon as Josslyn is okay with us.
Sonny: All right.
Oscar: Trina told me about your brother. I'm sorry.
Josslyn: I didn't mean to get so emotional. It's just... Morgan's the one who taught me how to catch lightning bugs in a jar. You know, I used to love the way they'd flash and light up my bedroom. I didn't want to fall asleep. And now I stay awake because whenever I sleep, I dream that everything's okay. [Voice breaking] And then I wake up, and I realize that everything's different... and I'm fighting with my mom. [Sobs]
Oscar: I know what you mean. I mean, it feels like all my mom does is tell me what I can't do. Never what I can.
Olivia: I loved your song. You are always surprising me.
Ned: And... the surprises aren't over.
Olivia: What's that?
Olivia: Oh! [Chuckles] [Gasps] [Laughs]
Oscar: Where do you think they're coming from?
Josslyn: I don't know. Maybe the Metro Court? I mean, there's that big wedding down there. They're so spectacular.
Oscar: I don't know. I'm kind of partial to fireflies.
Dillon: Oh, wow.
Dillon: How nice!
Nelle: Oh. [Laughs]
Carly: Whoa. Hey!
Laura: Yeah. That was a good one.
Charlotte: Look! [Laughs]
Olivia: Oh! It's not even the Fourth of July.
Ned: Nope. This is just for us. And our day.
Everyone: Aww! Aww!
On the next "General Hospital" --
Dillon (on microphone): I now present to you Mr. & Mrs. Edward Quartermaine.
Charlotte (to Nina): I really want Papa to come home.
Kevin (to Laura): I realized I was missing something. Your grandson.
Oscar: Your mom?
Josslyn: She's gonna kill me.
Sonny: Josslyn's not home.
Carly: Then where the Hell is she?
