Laura: I know you're going out of your mind with worry, but Valentin loves Charlotte. He won't let anything happen to her.

Lulu: I just can't stop blaming myself.

Laura: For what? This isn't your fault.

Lulu: I tipped him off, Mom. I told him he was about to be arrested. All I wanted was to spare Charlotte the pain of seeing her father taken away.

Laura: Oh, honey.

[Doorbell rings]

Laura: Oh.

Lulu: Oh, please, come in. Is there any news?

Anna: Yeah. I think I know where Valentin is taking Charlotte.

Valentin: Ma petite, it's too late to visit the Falls tonight, but, uh, it will give us a chance to play a game. You want to know what it is?

Charlotte: I can't play, Papa. Something's wrong.

Valentin: Oh, no. Nothing's wrong. Why would you say that?

Charlotte: 'Cause somebody's in big trouble.

Lucas: Well, if you're here to see Ava, visiting hours are over.

Julian: I was looking for you, actually. Look, I know things haven't been good between us.

Lucas: Oh, there is no "between us."

Julian: Okay, I wasn't exactly expecting a hug. Look, I just figured that, you know, since I've been given this temporary reprieve --

Lucas: I don't care. I'm about to go off-duty. I just went in to check on Ava, and now I'm gonna go home. Good night.

Julian: I d-didn't realize you were Ava's doctor.

Lucas: I'm not. Well, that means if you're checking in on your aunt that...you still care about your family. So, let me ask you this, Lucas. Do you only have compassion for your patients... or do you have some left for your father?

Alexis: Mm. Thank you for giving me time with my beautiful granddaughter. I can't tell you how much I needed this.

Sam: I can guess why, though. Julian did make bail.

Alexis: Except we're not gonna talk about him, are we? You're gonna let me just focus on my two girls.

[Baby fussing]

Sam: Danny, it's okay. It's okay.

Alexis: Last time I checked, Danny was your older son. This is your baby girl, Scout. Remember her?

Sam: Yes, of course, Mom. So, I mix up their names sometimes.

Alexis: Sometimes?

Sam: It happens to every mom once in a while, doesn't it?

Alexis: You're not every mom. I'm looking at you, and you look pale.

Sam: Well, thanks. I feel so pretty.

Alexis: No, I'm serious. Are you okay?

Jason: Okay. [Chuckles] What are we drinking to?

Sonny: How 'bout justice? And not courtroom justice I'm talking about. True justice -- the kind where karma bites the right person in the ass.

Jason: Okay, I'll drink to that. This have anything to do with you letting Ava live?

Sonny: I let Ava live so she can lie there helpless, suffering, and she loses everything. That is the hell... that Ava deserves.

Sam: Cut me some slack, will you? This is the first time I've raised a kid from scratch.

Alexis: I'm sorry. I just wasn't thinking.

Sam: It's okay. Uh, I'm sorry. [Groans] I'm so sorry. I'm actually a very lucky girl. Danny is amazing. Scout, she's -- she's gorgeous and perfect and... exhausting. She's exhausting, Mom. I don't know why. All she does is eat and sleep, and I can't seem to do either of those things. It's really throwing me off my game.

Alexis: Okay. Maybe we should do this some other time.

Sam: No. No, no, no, no. Sit down. You said you wanted to spend some time with your granddaughter.

Alexis: And I will -- as soon as you go and spend some time just for yourself.

Jason: So, if Ava hadn't have thrown that lantern and started a fire... what would you have done?

Sonny: Let her go.

Jason: You were gonna let her go?

Sonny: Yeah.

Jason: Yeah, doesn't sound like you, my friend.

Sonny: Well, look. Too many people knew that Carly and I were looking for Ava. We would've been the prime suspects. So it was best to let her run. Let her go someplace where she could change her name. Let her think that she got away with it. And that way when, you know, people stopped missing her, that's when I would've dealt with her on my terms. For what she did to Connie, what she did to Morgan, but, you know, in a weird way, this is the best thing. She's in constant pain. She's gonna have surgeries for years to come.

Jason: And everything she lost, Ava lost it, because she took it from herself.

Sonny: You know, when Carly and I confronted her about what she did to Morgan, she tried to turn it on us, like... we failed our son.

Jason: Come on, now. You know you did everything you could for Morgan.

Sonny: Did we? Turns out, maybe Ava wasn't the only one living in her own nightmare. Me and Carly, we -- we... we're in a place where it's -- it's a parent's worst nightmare... when you think you failed your son... when he needed you most.

Lucas: Well, you've lived this long without my approval. Why's it so important now?

Julian: Because this might be the last time I get to see you without a glass partition between us.

Lucas: [Sighs]

Julian: The last time I get to tell you how different I wish things were, how -- how sorry I am.

Lucas: What exactly are you sorry for, Dad? Sorry for the crimes you've committed and the people you've hurt or just that you're finally gonna have to pay for it?

Julian: Both.

Valentin: I think we've already covered this. I'm not in trouble.

Charlotte: Not you, Papa. Me.

Valentin: You? Why are you in trouble?

Charlotte: For skipping school. They have people who come and look for you, don't they?

Valentin: Ma petite, no. I mean, yes. Yes, they -- yes, they do. But -- but I promise you, you're not in any trouble. If anything, I can -- I can get credit for our vacation.

Charlotte: They don't you give you credit for vacation.

Valentin: They do if you call it a field trip. Want to learn about the game?

Charlotte: Sure. What are we playing?

Valentin: Okay. Let me lay down some rules. It's exactly like Halloween, except instead of costumes, we have identities. We get all-new names, and we get to pick for ourselves new life stories. Isn't that fun?

Charlotte: Yeah. I want to be from Narnia!

Valentin: Okay, but here's the challenge. You have to choose real-people names and real places. So, if anyone asks where we're from, you have to have the answers for that.

Charlotte: So it's like Social Studies?

Valentin: Exactly. Now, here's the most important part. In order to win the game, you have to play it all the time.

Charlotte: So once we start pretending, we don't stop?

Valentin: That's right! That's right, even if we're just by ourselves. And that's very important that you remember that.

Charlotte: I understand, Papa.

Valentin: You ready?

Charlotte: Ready.

Valentin: Set.

Charlotte: Set.

Valentin: And...

Charlotte: Go.

Valentin: Go. Okay, your new name... is Genevieve LeBlanc. Say it.

Charlotte: Genevieve LeBlanc.

Valentin: Trés bien, trés bien. And I am your father, Gaspar LeBlanc. So, what will you call me?

Charlotte: I still call you "Papa," don't I?

Valentin: Right, right. But let's say we're separated and somebody says, "Young lady, what's your father's name?" You will say, "My father's name is"...

Charlotte: Gaspar LeBlanc.

Valentin: Trés bien! Trés bien! And we hail from Montréal.

Charlotte: Where Nana lives?

Valentin: Exactement! You ready?

Charlotte: Ready.

Valentin: Bonsoir, Genevieve.

Anna: It took a little persuading, but we managed to get Nina to give up the fact that Charlotte's always wanted to go visit Niagara Falls. So, I think that's where Valentin might've taken her.

Dante: That tracks with the direction his car was headed according to the tollbooth cameras.

Anna: The Canadians have tightened security at their borders, but if he manages to get her across...

Laura: They could disappear. I mean, they might hide in Canada, but they could also just jump on a plane or a ship and go from there.

Lulu: Then they'd just be gone.

Dante: I'll contact authorities on both sides of the falls. I mean, one thing we have going for us is this isn't just a guy by himself who can hide. It's a guy travelling with his daughter, right?

Lulu: Yeah. [Sighs] Um, Anna, what, uh, can I do?

Anna: Valentin loves Charlotte. He wants her to be safe. He doesn't want her to be upset. You could help with that.

Lulu: You think he'll listen to me? We hate each other.

Anna: Yes, but you are Charlotte's mother. At the end of the day, he's a realist. And I think he would prefer that Charlotte was with you rather than a ward of the state.

Lulu: Oh, I can definitely be there for Charlotte. I need to be there for my daughter. Please, don't try to talk me out of this.

Dante: I wouldn't dream of it. Laura, do you mind?

Laura: Sure, I will watch Rocco, and I'll stay right by the phone in case she tries to call here.

Dante: Thank you.

Anna: Okay. Let's go get your daughter.

Valentin: Tell you what, I'll give it to you for half off. And Monsieur and Mademoiselle LeBlanc hail from...

Charlotte: Montréal.

Valentin: Which part of Montréal?

Charlotte: Plateau Mont-Royal, but we call it "The Plateau."

Valentin: Trés bien. Trés bien!

[Knock on door]

Valentin: Why don't you go into the bedroom and keep practicing?

Charlotte: Oui, Papa.

Valentin: [Sighs] Yeah? Is there a problem?

Man: Someone was just asking about a father and daughter matching your description. Given how generous you were at check-in, I didn't tell them anything.

Valentin: Thank you for your discretion and for letting me know.

Man: And should they come back, I imagine you'll require my continued discretion.

[Bills rustling]

Valentin: For your troubles. [Sighs] Charlotte?

[Lock clicks]

Valentin: Charlotte, we need to go -- now.

Charlotte: Papa, I'm supposed to be Genevieve!

Valentin: Uh, oui. You -- you win the practice round. Now the real game begins. So, Genevieve, you go get your backpack 'cause we don't have a moment to lose.

[Door closes]

Valentin: Yeah, it's me. Listen, there's a change of plans. I need a car with Canadian plates, and I need it now.

Alexis: I mean it. I want you to get a massage, a facial, something, and I will watch your daughter.

Sam: Oh. Oh, oh, I get it. So, you want me to go to the spa -- the same exact thing I wanted you to do when Julian was stalking you. But you wanted to go home, or have you forgotten about that?

Alexis: No, I have not forgotten, and the circumstances are vastly different. You have two kids. One is a newborn. You're being run ragged, and you need to -- to take some time and recharge before you really get sick.

Sam: No. No, I cannot ditch Scout. No.

Alexis: Yes, you can, because that's what I'm for. I'll watch her. That's what grandmas do. We -- we help our children out, and then we -- we corrupt them, and then hand them back to you.

Sam: [Scoffs]

Alexis: But I can't do the latter unless you let me do the former.

Sam: Okay. Okay. When should I pick her up?

Alexis: Don't worry about it. I'll have her back so you can tuck her in.

Sam: All right. I'll see if they have an opening for a massage or a facial or something. Have fun with Scout.

Alexis: I will. You have fun. Relax. Bye-bye.

Sam: Bye-bye.

Alexis: [Whispering] I thought she'd never leave.

Lucas: The answer to your question is no. I have no more compassion for you, and I have no more forgiveness for you. So if I see you around GH, I will be polite, and I will be cordial. If you have any questions about Ava, I will refer you to her physician, as I am doing now.

Julian: Okay, okay. You made your point.

Lucas: I wasn't finished. If you run into me anywhere outside of here, keep walking.

Julian: Well, considering where I'm gonna be, that's not gonna be very hard to do.

Lucas: Great. Good luck in prison.

Julian: Is that all you really have to say to me?

Lucas: Do you think I actually owe you anything else?

Julian: No. No, you don't owe me anything, son. Still, it hurts like hell.

Jason: You and I both know you and Carly did everything you could to save Morgan.

Sonny: Yeah, I know. I just hit a-a raw nerve with Ava. It's just... [Sighs] When Morgan started to spiral out of control, we were searching for an explanation, an answer we couldn't find. But there it was, right there in the pill bottle. All we had to do was look. Why didn't we just look?!

Spencer: Bonsoir, Grandmother! You may kiss me on both cheeks, like we do in France.

Laura: [Sighs] Spencer! Spencer! [Chuckles]

Valentin: Genevieve? Vite! Vite! As soon as the car gets here, we have to hit the road.

Charlotte: Where are we going? We haven't even had time to see the Falls yet.

Valentin: I-I know. I was hoping we could drive by the Falls on the way out of town, but it looks like we're going the opposite direction.

Charlotte: But, Papa, you promised.

Valentin: Listen, do -- do you trust me? Do you trust me? Sometimes plans change. I promise you, we will see the Falls together someday.

Charlotte: Someday soon?

Valentin: I need you to know something. Sometimes things don't go our way, but we're gonna be okay as long as we're together.

Charlotte: Of course, I know that, Papa.

Valentin: That's my girl.

[Knock on door]

Valentin: Oh, good. The car's here, not a moment too soon. Where's your jacket, Genevieve?

Charlotte: I forgot it.

Valentin: Go get it. Ah! [Inhales sharply]

Jason: I've been where you are now. I remember losing Jake and wondering how I was ever gonna move past that.

Sonny: You don't. You can't. You just, you know -- I-I lost a son. He can't be replaced. The only knowledge I gained was -- was knowing that... nothing is bulletproof -- me, my business, my marriage. Especially my marriage.

Jason: I don't know about that. I don't think you and Carly are done just yet.

Sonny: Have I given you a cause to think otherwise?

Jason: Oh, yeah, actually. I think facing down Ava, escaping that fire, just might've brought you two closer.

Julian: I swear I'm not stalking you.

Alexis: I know.

Julian: Though God forbid I should bump into someone else in this town that I actually care about.

Alexis: Well, since you're here...

Julian: No, it's okay. You don't have to leave.

Alexis: I wasn't --

Julian: No, no. I-I'll leave. I know all too well that you need your space. See you later.

[Scout fussing]

Julian: Is this, um...?

Alexis: [Chuckles] Say hello to your granddaughter.

Spencer: Grandmother, please. I'm far too sophisticated for such an American welcome.

Laura: Oh, well that's just too bad. You come on in. Spencer, how did you get here?

Spencer: Um...

Laura: Uh... Don't tell me that you left school, and you flew across the ocean all by yourself?

Spencer: Well, turns out, there's an app for everything from the airline tickets to the town car that brought me from the airport.

Laura: Spencer! What about that school?! H-how could they just let you leave? What's with the sterling security rating?

Spencer: Well, that. Um, turns out there's also an app that enables one to generate a text from one's grandmother saying that one is urgently needed at home.

Laura: Spencer. That is shameless.

Spencer: Where has shame ever gotten anyone? But you're too excited to see me to be mad.

Laura: I can multitask. [Scoffs] Oh. [Sighs] Actually, I'm thrilled you're here.

Spencer: Well, yeah.

Laura: Yeah. With everything that's going on, to know you're safe, especially after...

Spencer: Oh, are you talking about my evil uncle who killed my father and robbed us both of our family home?

Laura: You don't have to worry about Valentin. He's gonna get what he's got coming to him.

Spencer: Oh, I know.

Laura: You do?

Spencer: Yeah, that's why I'm here.

Laura: What?

Spencer: While my classmates idle away their summer vacation beaching in St. Tropez, I intend to do right on Valentin's wrong. I shall vanquish him, avenge my father, and reclaim Wyndemere.

Laura: No, Spencer. You will do nothing of the kind.

Spencer: Have you forgotten that Valentin tried to kidnap me? Huh? He might even have pulled it off, if it wasn't for Uncle Sonny.

Charlotte: Papa, who is it?

Lulu: Surprise!

Charlotte: I didn't know you were coming!

Lulu: Oh, that's why they call it a surprise! [Giggles]

Anna: You know what you have to do.

Valentin: Charlotte? M-ma chérie? [Speaking French]

Charlotte: But, Papa, I'm supposed to be Genevieve.

Valentin: [Sighs] Trés bien. You win. Listen, uh, you were right. School wants you back to finish the year.

Charlotte: Am I in trouble?

Valentin: No, no, no. You missed one day. I think you'll be okay. [Voice breaking] I want you to go with l-- your mother. Your mother's gonna take you home.

Charlotte: Can I get a ride home from you, Papa?

Valentin: No. No. No, Lulu hasn't seen you all day. You feel at home with her and her family, don't you?

Charlotte: I do.

Valentin: Good. Good. You go with them. You make me proud. Promise?

Charlotte: I promise. When will you come to get me?

Valentin: Well, I have some business I have to take care of. But, um, as soon as I can.

Charlotte: Until then, don't you -- don't be sad, Papa. School's almost over. You can take me to the Falls then.

Valentin: [Sighs]

Dante: Hey, Charlotte. You know, uh, you know who's gonna be super excited to see you when he wakes up in the morning? Rocco.

Charlotte: See you tomorrow, Papa.

Valentin: Au revoir, ma petite.

Lulu: Come on, sweetie.

Valentin: [Crying] [Sobs]

Laura: Spencer, listen to me.

Spencer: Uh-oh. You have that tone like you're about to try to talk some sense into me.

Laura: Yes. Now, you are not to tangle with your Uncle Valentin. Listen. You understand that?

Spencer: You look worried, Grandmother. Stop it. I am here, and I have sworn to protect you. I shall make you mistress of Wyndemere once again.

Laura: Oh, Spencer. You know what, that was such a big house and... and it's isolated and, you know, we're more comfortable here.

Spencer: This place is certainly more convenient for deliveries. Can we order a pizza from Gino's? I've missed the local cuisine.

Laura: [Chuckles] And I have missed you. But I'm sorry, Spencer. I'm afraid I'm going to have to send you back to France. And it's for your own good.

Masseuse: Any trouble spots or areas where you'd like me to focus?

Sam: Um...[Sighs] I don't know. I've been feeling kind of achy the past couple of days, especially in my shoulders.

Masseuse: Let's start there.

Sam: Okay. [Sniffles] Mm. I'm so sorry. I'm just -- I'm not -- I'm not big on massages. I can't remember the last time I've had one.

Masseuse: The first rule to a good massage is to relax.

Alexis: Julian, meet Emily Scout Morgan. Scout, meet your grandfather, Julian Jerome.

Julian: Hi.

Alexis: Would you like to hold her?

Julian: More than almost anything. [Chuckles]

Alexis: Come here, sweet girl. Come on, sweet girl.

Julian: Oh, my goodness.

Alexis: Ooh, it's okay. There you go. Here you go.

Julian: Hello, sweetness. Oh, my goodness. Hello, little Scout. It's so nice to meet you. Yeah, you gave us a little scare the way you came into this world, yes, you did. You certainly did. Good thing your mama's as strong as... well, her mama. And as gentle, when she wants to be. Huh? She's gentle.

Alexis: I just wish Sam would take better care of herself.

Julian: Come here. Come here. Why, is she sick?

Alexis: Uh, no. Uh, she's just tired. I-I needed to practically force her to get a massage and let me babysit.

Julian: Hi, sweetness. Oh, that's good.

[Scout fusses]

Alexis: How's Ava?

Julian: There's no change. There's no change between Lucas and me. Hi, sweetness. Hello. If the jury sends me to prison, [Chuckles] I'm sure there'll be no going-away party. Boo-hoo, right? [Chuckles] I know, baby.

Alexis: I didn't say anything.

Julian: Oh, you were thinking it. That's okay, though. If I end up alone, that's on me. Oh, my goodness! You see, I have the life and the fate... I deserve. Yeah. It's true.

Valentin: I want your word my daughter will want for nothing.

Anna: Dante and Lulu are wonderful parents.

Valentin: I want more than a picket fence and a puppy dog! She's extraordinary!

Anna: If you truly cared about Charlotte, you wouldn't have run away with her! You knew I would follow you because of her. Think about what if this had gone down differently, if there had been a high-speed chase or a SWAT team? What would've happened to your extraordinary child then?

Valentin: Nothing. I would never have let anything happen to Charlotte. I gave her up, didn't I?

Anna: Yeah. Now you did. That's the man I know, that man there. See, that was a good gesture.

Valentin: Yeah. The courts don't recognize a gesture. Ah! Neither does the Bureau. [Winces]

Anna: [Sighs]

Valentin: Please don't take this personally, Anna.

Anna: What are you gonna do? Kill me? Is that the legacy you want to leave your daughter?

Valentin: I'm too good a shot to kill you. But if you push me, I will incapacitate you.

Anna: You'll never see your girl again if you do that. You'll never see your child.

Valentin: You are about to extradite me to the ICC in The Hague! From there, I will be shipped to a Supermax for the rest of my life! I will take my chances! Move! [Grunts]

Spencer: Don't send me back to the Bastille, Grandmother, please.

Laura: [Scoffs] It's hardly a prison. [Scoffs] It's a very exclusive boarding school with state-of-the-art facilities and to quote you, "The best bed I've ever slept in."

Spencer: Well, that was when school first started. Autumn was in the air. The mattresses were new. But now that I'm back, I have a new perspective.

Laura: And what is that?

Spencer: That any place that keeps me from my beloved grandmother and Gino's Pizza is a prison of the cruelest and most unusual punishment.

Laura: Mm-hmm. You're laying it on awfully thick -- thicker than Gino's Sicilian with extra-extra cheese.

Spencer: Besides, how can I restore the family honor if I'm busy conjugating French verbs?

Sonny: We could've died in that warehouse. Um, but we didn't 'cause, you know, we have each other. Don't mean we're gonna end up...together. But... we didn't die. That must count for something, right?

Jason: Yeah, it does.

Sonny: So...how's Sam and the kids?

Jason: [Sighs] They're good, you know. They're great. It's only been a few months since Olivia left Sam to die.

Sonny: Ugh! Olivia and Ava -- one is as bad as the other. I mean...

Jason: I could've lost Sam. I could've lost the baby, but Sam -- she kept fighting. Taught me something. I don't think it's possible to love anything as much as I love my family, and I'll tell you something. There's not a thing in this world that I won't do to make sure they're safe.

Sam: [Remembers] You're not safe.

Masseuse: Any pain?

Sam: [Sighs] No. I'm -- I'm sorry. I -- I told you. I just wasn't, um... I'm sorry, I'm not big on massages. [Sighs]

Masseuse: You're tensing up. Try to let go.

Sam: [Sighs] Your family's not safe. Oh, I'm so sorry. I'm sorry. Um, I -- I can't do this. It's not your fault. I'm just, um... you know, I'm -- I'm not big on massages. Let's skip this one. [Sighs]

Julian: Look at you.

Alexis: Well, at least you're acknowledging the pain and the damage that you caused people. That's something. And I know that I caused... pain when I was drinking -- to myself, to my career, to the people that I love.

Julian: I remember.

Alexis: Uh, yeah. You threw it in my face as part of my recovery.

Julian: You're welcome.

Alexis: My point is that people don't change overnight. Some people don't change at all. Some people can't change who they are, but they can change what they do.

Julian: Okay, so it's a piece of cake.

Alexis: Or they can just make excuses and go back to hurting people.

Julian: Well, I'm not gonna do that -- to myself or to you.

Alexis: No. You don't make me the reason for anything.

Julian: It's too late. You are my reason. I want to prove to you that... I'm worthy of your love.

Alexis: Julian...

Julian: Don't deny it, Alexis. I mean, that night I was caught and taken to jail, we were alone in my hotel room. You don't have to say the words, but I know you love me, Alexis. I love you, too.

Alexis: But sometimes love just isn't enough.

Sonny: Safe and secure -- that's all I ever really wanted for my family.

Jason: I know.

Sonny: But there's not much you can do. I-if you plan for the future, you got -- you got the past just breathing down your neck. Sooner or later... it's gonna catch up to you.

Jason: Go home safe.

Sonny: Yeah, man.

Julian: I'm sorry I'm not gonna get to be a better grandfather for you. Yeah. I don't know when I'm gonna see you again. Maybe at your wedding if I get paroled, huh? Will you take pity on me and invite me? [Laughing] Yeah. You think I'm boring her? [Chuckles]

[Scout coos]

Julian: No?

[Scout coos]

Julian: No?

[Scout coos]

Alexis: Do you want me to take her?

Julian: No, that's okay. I've got her.

Alexis: So, you don't think you can win an acquittal?

Julian: You offering to take my, uh, my case?

Alexis: Don't even.

Julian: I'm sorry. I know. Now that I've turned down the DA's deal, I'm sure he's gonna come after me with everything he's got.

Alexis: Well, maybe Scott Baldwin is better than we give him credit for.

Julian: And maybe pigs will fly. Maybe you'll fly.

Alexis: Anyway, it's, uh, it'd be good for you to stick around a little longer... to -- to rock, uh, Scout to sleep.

Julian: No other reason?

Alexis: Nothing springs to mind.

Julian: Okay, here's your grandma. There you go, sweetness. Okay, sweetie.

Alexis: There you go, baby. There you go, sweetheart. There.

Julian: Okay, sweetie. Bye-bye.

Alexis: Good night.

Julian: Scotty, it's Julian. Look, there's something important I need to talk to you about.

[Door opens, closes]

Jason: Hey.

Sam: Hey!

Jason: I was just about to text you.

Sam: Oh. Here I am.

Jason: Sweetheart... did you forget our baby?

Sam: Oh, Scout. No, she's, um, she's with my mom. She's gonna bring her back soon, or [Chuckles] I hope she does.

Jason: Huh. So, your mom wanted a little one-on-one time with Scout, and you've been, what? Walking the streets?

Sam: I stupidly let my mom talk me into getting a massage.

Jason: Why stupidly?

Sam: Because, um, I couldn't relax. It literally had the opposite effect. I feel m-more tense now than when I even started.

Jason: Okay, okay. Anything I can do to help? Huh? You okay?

Sam: [Sighs] This is good.

Laura: Oh, I am so glad that everyone's all right. Yes. Okay, we'll see you when you get home. Oh, yes. [Laughing] It's a "we." Uh, I have a little surprise of my own waiting for you. Okay, honey. See you soon.

Spencer: I deduce that I'm the surprise you're talking about? Ergo I'll be here when Aunt Lulu gets home. Ergo I am staying.

Laura: Ergo nothin'. I might just send you back to France on the red-eye.

Spencer: A red-eye?

Laura: Mm-hmm.

Spencer: At the last minute? All that will be left is the main cabin, where people bring their livestock!

Laura: [Laughing] Oh, no, no, no, they don't. [Laughs] Oh, honey. Well, you know, by the time I got you back to the airport, it would be really late. And you have been travelling for an awfully long time.

Spencer: Ergo?

Laura: You can stay.

Spencer: [Grunts]

Laura: But...for now.

Spencer: Mm.

Laura: Okay. Come here, little one. I have missed you.

Spencer: I've missed you, too.

Anna: Oh, I know what you're looking at. That's not who you are.

Valentin: Of course, it is. [Voice breaking] Only now, I'm shattered on the inside.

Anna: I remember who you were back then. You're a good man. I liked you. I admired you.

Valentin: Yeah, you liked me. You didn't want me kissing you.

Anna: What do you want me to say? I was young and stupid and naive. I regret that. I'm not the enemy here. I didn't exploit your attraction or your friendship or whatever. I didn't manipulate you. That was Alex. She betrayed you.

Valentin: And now you're arresting me. It's ironic, isn't it?

Anna: In what way?

Valentin: You have a past, Anna. You have transgressions of your own. I hope they are buried well enough. I hope they're as good as gone. Because if they ever see the light of day, maybe somebody will come for you with handcuffs.

Anna: Would that make you happy?

Valentin: No, not at all. See, you did what you did. You had your reasons. But you changed. You made a good life, a new life. I hope you get to keep it. One of us should be able to. Go on, then. What are you waiting for?

Anna: Valentin Cassadine, you're under arrest... [Voice breaking] For espionage, treason... related crimes.

[Handcuffs clinking]

Anna: You'll be extradited to The Hague, where you'll stand trial. If found guilty, you will be... taken to a Supermax facility... ...where you'll serve a life term.

On the next "General Hospital" --

Spencer (to Laura): Admit it...you're happy I'm back.

Griffin (to Finn): I could really use your expertise on this.

Hayden (to Elizabeth): I took the day off. Maybe Cameron should hang out with me.

Jordan (to Curtis, with a candlelit cupcake): Make a wish.

Mac (to Anna): Are you gonna be able to take the stand against him?

Nina (to Nathan): He would have gotten away if it wasn't for me.

Lulu (to Valentin): Nina's the one who turned you in.
