Jason: This is Anna's?
Griffin: Sort of. Uh, Anna just came into possession of it. It's a long story. It used to belong to her sister.
Jason: Well, this charm is a Chimera. This can't be a coincidence. This has to mean something.
Dillon: Deanna. Thank you so much for filling in for Kiki tonight. She's working, and there is no way that I could do this number alone.
Deanna: I'm sorry you two won't get a chance to sing together again. I heard you were great last year.
Dillon: Thank you. Yeah, it was a big night for us. But we're gonna be great, too. I mean, right?
Deanna: You -- you know it!
Deanna: I better go change into my costume.
[Cell phone chimes]
[Cell phone chimes]
Kiki: [Sighs] I wish I was there, too.
Nina: First you won't leave me alone, now I can't find you. Where are you, Valentin?
Anna: You sold the Chimera to her? Helena Cassadine.
Valentin: Yeah, that's right.
Anna: What were you thinking? You knew it was lethal. Why would you put it in her hands?
Charlotte: Why is it doing that?
Emma: It must be part of the magic trick. We can go ask Jake.
Charlotte: Maybe the lights mean it's unlocked, and now we can open it.
Lucy: I need you backstage now.
Lucy: Why? To present the large donation I blackmailed out of you for my silence about you and Morgan.
Carly: What do you mean, answers about Morgan?
Sonny: I know why he spiraled out of control. Someone tampered with his medication.
Olivia: We should have been here hours ago. I can't believe you made us so late! What? This is my fault?
Ned: What? This is my fault?
Olivia: Well, I kept trying to put my dress on, and your hands kept taking it off of me.
Ned: [Laughs] Do you blame me? You're simply irresistible.
Olivia: You know what? You know what? I think if we go in there right now, it's just gonna highlight how late we actually are. Why don't we just -- we should just go home?
Ned: No, no.
Olivia: Why don't we just go home?
Ned: We're not going home! I know what this is about.
Ned: You have stage fright.
Olivia: [Sighs] Well, can you blame me? I -- every time you get up there, you bring the house down. What if I can't?
Ned: You are going to be great.
Olivia: How do you know?
Ned: Because you are my star.
Curtis: Here's to us enjoying time together.
Jordan: To us.
Curtis: Yeah. And I'm glad I planned ahead.
Curtis: Mm. I, um, got a room upstairs for us tonight.
Ava: I told you, I'm not making the donation in Morgan's name.
Lucy: Well, that is too darned bad because Jake Webber canceled his magic act, so now I have a ton of dead air to fill, and you're it.
Ava: No -- I'd really rather not call attention to myself!
Carly: I don't understand. The lab report said the pills were lithium.
Sonny: 300 milligrams. Morgan's prescription was 600 milligrams. Those were not his pills in the bottle.
Carly: Okay, well, could the lower dose cause the breakdown?
Sonny: No, no. There was something else. Residue from a placebo. So, when Morgan said he was taking his medication, when he promised us, he was. But he just wasn't getting any lithium.
Anna: You had to know what Helena would do with a weapon like that.
Valentin: I didn't have the luxury of moral judgment.
Valentin: I was running for my life. I had stolen classified material for you. Uh, sorry. Your sister. I needed money. I needed lots of it. To pay for my new identity, my surgeries. And I will admit, it gave me perverse satisfaction to know that Helena would be giving me the money, that she'd be paying for my transformation.
Anna: Really? In exchange for a deadly weapon.
Valentin: Which has never been used. And now she's dead. So the Chimera is no threat to anyone.
Charlotte: If we're going to do Jake's act, then we need to know how this works.
Emma: Okay, you're right. We need to get it open.
Jake: Stop! What are you doing?!
Lucy: Ladies and gentlemen, I'm so excited because we have a very, very special treat for all of you. She is Port Charles' red-hot mama hotelier, and he is the artist formerly known as Eddie Maine. So put your hands together for Olivia Falconeri and Ned Quartermaine.
[Cheers and applause]
[George Michael's "Faith" plays]
Ned: Well, I guess it would be nice if I could touch your body I know not everybody has got a body like you oh,
Olivia: But I've got to think twice before I give my heart away and I know all the games you play because I play them, too
Ned: Oh, but I need some time off from that emotion time to pick my heart up off the floor, oh
Olivia: Oh, and when that love comes down without devotion well, it takes a strong girl, baby, but I'm showing you the door
Both: 'Cause I got to have faith mm, I got to have faith because I got to to have faith, faith, faith I got to have faith, faith, faith
Olivia: I know you're asking me to stay saying, "Please, please, please, don't go away" you say I'm giving you the blues
Ned: Maybe you mean every word you say can't help but think of yesterday and another who tied me down to lover boy rules
Both: Before this river becomes an ocean before you throw my heart back on the floor oh, baby I reconsider my foolish notion well, I need someone to hold me but I'll wait for something more got to have faith mm, I got to have faith 'cause I got to have faith, faith, faith I got to have faith, faith, faith before this river becomes an ocean before you throw my heart back on the floor oh, baby, I reconsider my foolish notion well, I need someone to hold me but I'll wait for something more 'cause I got to have faith mm, I got to have faith 'cause I got to have faith, faith, faith I got to have faith, faith, faith ahh!
[Cheers and applause]
Dillon: Awesome job, you guys.
Ned: Thank you.
Dillon: Oh, my gosh! Olivia, you were like a total pro!
Olivia: Thank you very much. I wasn't even remotely terrified.
Dillon: Well, I'm glad that you guys showed up because I was all by myself, and I was kind of starting to feel like the new kid at the cafeteria table.
Ned: What's going on here? You flyin' solo? Where's Kiki?
Nurse: Kiki. You're wanted in the supervisor's office.
Curtis: I'm sorry, maybe you can help me with this, but, um, did I do something wrong?
Jordan: Curtis, you booked a room on our very first real date. I mean, we haven't even discussed what we are yet.
Curtis: Jordan, we've been doing this song and dance for over a year now. I mean, I could cancel the room. No harm, no foul.
Jordan: No, that's not the point.
Curtis: Well, then what is the point?
Jordan: I just --
Curtis: Oh, wow. It ain't even about the room, is it? You still don't think I'm good enough for you.
Anna: Why didn't your warn the Bureau?
Valentin: Because I don't trust the Bureau.
Anna: Well, you could have just pointed them in the direction of Helena, just through an anonymous source or something. You could have done that.
Valentin: They created it in the first place, and once Helena died, it was irrelevant.
Anna: No. Nothing that deadly is ever irrelevant.
Valentin: Okay. Anna, claim it. I own Cassadine Island. You have my permission to search it with a fine-tooth comb. Once you find it, you dig it up. You destroy it. Right now, I've got to go see my wife.
Jake: I told you not to touch it!
Charlotte: We wanted to see if we could do the act for you.
Jake: No one is doing my act!
Nina: Oh! Hey, are you okay? What's going on here?
Anna: Robert, when you get this message, call me back. I think I know where the product is. Possibly.
Emma: Jake pushed her.
Jake: She shouldn't have touched it!
Lulu: What is going on in here?
Elizabeth: Do you think I should have encouraged Jake to go through with his performance?
André: No. No, I think you did the right thing.
Anna: Hi. André. Sorry. Excuse me for interrupting. Can I speak to you, um, privately?
André: Excuse me. Hey, what is it?
Anna: Um, how much do you know about the Chimera project?
Elizabeth: Anna. I'm sorry, did you just say Chimera?
Carly: Someone replaced Morgan's lithium with a placebo?
Sonny: I think so.
Carly: So he wasn't medicated, Sonny. That's why he had the manic episode. That's why he died!
Sonny: That's right.
Carly: But I don't understand. How -- how would his pill bottle with the wrong dose of lithium get to The Floating Rib? It doesn't make any sense.
Sonny: Turns out Lucy Coe was at The Floating Rib the night of the robbery.
Carly: I don't understand. Why would Lucy --
Sonny: With Ava. There she is now. No, no! Sit down.
Sonny: Not until we're sure.
Curtis: I thought things had changed. But I guess there's no real way to prove myself, is there?
Jordan: This isn't about your past. This is about my past.
Curtis: What do you mean?
Jordan: I see Thomas every single time I look in your eyes. I already cheated on him with Sean. I -- I guess there's a part of me that believes that if you and I really got serious, it'd be like I'm betraying him all over again.
Griffin: Anna. Hi. Excuse me. I think we have something that belongs to you.
Jason: Is this yours?
Jason: Well, then maybe you can tell us the significance.
Elizabeth: Anna, what's going on?
Anna: I'm sorry. No. Um... I can't because nobody here has clearance for any of this, other than André, really.
Jason: Clearance? Okay, listen to me. My son drew a picture of an image that looks just like that. And then I saw another image of a Chimera in Cassadine Island. And now you have a necklace of one. So please tell me what's going on.
André: Anna. We're talking about their son. They have a right to know.
Jason: [Clears throat]
Anna: Okay, um... so, the Chimera project is --is a biotoxin that was developed by the WSB a long time ago, and it was -- um, it was illegally sold to Helena Cassadine. She didn't deploy it, obviously, thank God, but do you think it's possible that Jake saw this symbol when he was held captive by her? Do you think that could have happened?
Jason: Where is this biotoxin now?
Anna: That's what we're trying to determine. So we can secure it.
Lulu: What is going on?
Nina: Just a little disagreement the kids were having. Charlotte was upset.
Lulu: Oh, Charlotte! Here. Come here, sweetheart.
Nina: Oh. That's not a good idea.
Lulu: That's not really your call anymore, is it, Nina?
Valentin: Qu'est-ce qui se passé, ma petite?
Charlotte: Jake's being mean.
Jake: I am not!
Emma: Jake doesn't want to do the magic act anymore.
Valentin: Is that so? Well, how would you like a slice of the most beautiful chocolate cake you've ever seen?
Valentin: How about you, Emma? You like cake?
Emma: Yes, please.
Valentin: Why don't you guys go into the ballroom and order two slices, three forks? I'll be right out.
Emma: Come on, Charlotte. Let's go.
Lulu: Jake, are you okay?
Lulu: Okay. I think your mom's looking for you. Come on.
Valentin: Is there a problem?
Nina: No problem at all.
Valentin: I'm sorry. Was she being horrible to you?
Nina: No, just territorial, as usual. I was looking for you.
Valentin: You were?
Nina: That song that you sang... it meant the world to me.
Valentin: Then it was all worth it.
Sonny: Lucy, Carly and I need to --
Scott: Excuse me, Sonny --
Sonny: No, no, we don't --
Lucy: I need to get up onstage.
Sonny: Right now. Let's go.
Lucy: Uh, Sonny, you know that I always make time for you. You're such a dear friend, and you're such a generous donor at this thing, but I'm hosting the whole thing. I got to get back up onstage, so --
Sonny: What were you doing at The Floating Rib the night of the robbery?
Lucy: The Floating Rib?
Sonny: Yeah, yeah.
Carly: You were there with Ava Jerome. We want to know why.
Lucy: I was hoping, uh, you would never, ever have to find this out.
Carly: Find out what?
Lucy: I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry, but Ava and Morgan were sleeping together again.
Lucy: Yeah, right -- right before the accident. That's how Ava ended up with Morgan's pills.
Sonny: Okay, let me be clear here. Ava had Morgan's pills?
Lucy: I saw her, okay? I happened upon her. She was throwing something away in a trash can. She was discarding something in this bin in an alley on Van Ness, and -- and so she looked, I don't know, panicked and furtive, so I had to check it out. So I looked in the can, and there was Morgan's pills.
Carly: When was this?
Lucy: Late October. I, um -- I remember because I was so excited. I signed a new lease on a condominium, and it was October 20th.
Sonny: That was 10 days after Morgan died.
Lucy: Look, I confronted Ava. I asked her, and she admitted that she was sleeping with Morgan again, and I debated -- I wanted to tell you guys. I kept thinking I should tell you, I should tell you. I wanted to tell you, and she convinced me, though, that you two had just suffered enough. Don't do it. I hope I did the right thing, I hope I --
Sonny: Hey, Lucy! None of this is your fault.
Lucy: I'm so sorry. I am so sorry. I -- I got to go.
Carly: It was Ava all along.
Ava: It is my honor to present the Jerome gallery's donation to the Nurses' Ball HIV/AIDS fund.
Scott: Listen to me. You got to get out of here.
Ava: What? What are you talking about?
Scott: Sonny. He knows everything.
Lucy: Thank you so much. I hope you're having fun.
Felix: Hey! What are you waiting for? You're on!
Dillon: Yeah, Deanna is supposed to fill in for Kiki tonight, and I can't find her anywhere!
Felix: Too bad! Get out there! Make it work!
Kiki: Get a move on, DQ.
Lucy: ...Young nurse at General Hospital. Can you guess who that might be? Of course, you can.
Dillon: [Singing] I know when to go out. I know when to stay in get things done I catch a paper boy, but things don't really change I'm standing in the wind but I never wave bye-bye but I try I try there's no sign of life it's just the power to charm I'm lying in the rain but I never wave bye-bye but I try I try I'm never going to fall for modern love walks beside me modern love walks on by modern love gets me to the church on time church on time terrifies me church on time makes me party church on time puts my trust in God and man God and man no confessions God and man no religion God and man don't believe in modern love it's not really work it's just the power to charm I'm still standing in the wind but I never wave bye-bye but I try I try I'm never going to fall for modern love walks beside me modern love walks on by modern love gets me to the church on time church on time terrifies me church on time makes me party church on time puts my trust in God and man God and man no confessions God and man no religion God and man don't believe in modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love modern love
[Cheers and applause]
Nina: I didn't know you could sing.
Valentin: Oh. Only for you. Because I love you. And because I'm gonna do whatever it takes to make sure that you trust me again.
Nina: Listen, let's just see how the night goes, and we'll take it from there.
Valentin: I think I'm good with that.
Kiki: We were awesome! Like, even more awesome than last year!
Dillon: Absolutely. Are you kidding me? What are you doing here?
Kiki: Deanna --
Dillon: I thought that you were supposed to be working.
Kiki: I was, but Deanna covered for me for an hour so we could perform.
Dillon: You did that for me?
Kiki: Mm, don't flatter yourself. I was gonna miss out on the Burt's Bees gift bag.
Dillon: Oh. Okay.
Kiki: Ha, ha!
Dillon: Well, whatever got you here, I'm just glad that you came.
Kiki: Me, too. I really have to get going.
Dillon: What? So soon?
Kiki: Yeah, Deanna's in the finale, but, you know, if you see a camera, wave and I'll be watching.
Dillon: Wait, wait, wait, wait. What if I go with you and we can watch it together?
Kiki: Oh! I like the way you think.
Curtis: Look. Ash, you're a good person, and you have worked incredibly hard to get past everything that's happened. And if you can't, I do understand. But just in case... here's the key card to my room. I will be waiting.
Jordan: Curtis --
Curtis: No, listen. You don't have to say anything. You don't have to talk. There's no pressure at all. But if you're not there by 10:00, I am gonna feel some type of way. I'm gonna feel like you're not ready to accept this.
Carly: Lucy's wrong about one thing. Morgan did not start up with Ava again. He couldn't stand her. He didn't want to have anything to do with her.
Sonny: Ava lied to cover why she had the pills in the first place.
Carly: I could see her messing with your pills if she had the chance, but why Morgan? I don't get it!
Kiki: [Laughs] You're so silly!
Dillon: You are.
Kiki: No, you!
Carly: That evil bitch. She wanted Morgan away from Kiki.
Sonny: And for that, she drove our son to a breakdown.
Scott: Okay, listen. I overheard Sonny and Carly. They know that the pills were switched out.
Scott: Yeah. Sonny also knows that you were at The Floating Rib the night of the robbery.
Ava: Oh, God.
Scott: Now, you have got to get out --
Scott: You've got to get out of town, okay? Fast.
Carly: Where the hell is she?
[Cheers and applause]
Lucy: Hey, there, everybody. Thank you so very much. I want to thank you for making the Nurses' Ball such a rousing success, so please give yourselves a great big hand. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You are terrific, and each penny we donate tonight is crucial to the fight against HIV and AIDS. So thank you from the bottom of my heart for opening your hearts and, of course, for opening your wallets. Thank you. Um, now, I would be remiss if I didn't recognize someone who made, um, quite an extraordinary donation. So, um, here to present that generous donation, from the Jerome gallery is Ms. Ava Jerome.
Lucy: Ms. Jerome?
Sonny: She knows.
Lucy: Ms. Jerome, any time now would be great. [Chuckles] All righty, then. Thankfully, that check is gonna clear whether Ms. Jerome is MIA or not, so a big hand.
Sonny: Where is she? Where's Ava?
Ava: Oh, hey. Hi, Kiki.
Ava: What are you doing here?
Kiki: Didn't you just see us perform?
Ava: No. No, I'm so sorry. No, I didn't.
Kiki: Why are you heading out? Is everything okay?
Ava: Just a very minor emergency at the gallery.
Kiki: Oh, yeah, a woman's work is never done, am I right? I'm heading back to the hospital right now, but luckily, I have this handsome man to escort me.
Ava: Kiki, I'm -- I could not be more proud of the woman you're becoming. And I feel so relieved that you're happy. That's all I ever wanted for you.
Kiki: Easy, there. You're talking like I'm never gonna see you again.
Ava: Yeah. I'm being silly. Hey.
Kiki: Oh. Okay.
Ava: I love you so.
Helena: I'm disappointed in you, little man. You didn't keep your end of the bargain.
Curtis: [Sighs] Well. I guess she ain't coming. I ain't about to sit up in here by myself.
Sonny: Where is she, Baldwin? Where is she?!
Scott: Take it easy, Sonny. Take it easy. What do you want with her?
Sonny: She killed our son!
Scott: No, she didn't. That's her crazy lunatic sister. Olivia did that.
Carly: She messed with Morgan's pills.
Scott: That's crazy.
Carly: She caused the episode that led to his death!
Scott: No! No! That's crazy talk. Why would she do something like that?
Carly: Why don't we get my mother in here? And you can look her in the face, and you can explain to her how you're covering for the woman who caused her grandson's death. Let's do that.
Scott: Okay, look. Ava doesn't want any trouble.
Sonny: Too late!
Scott: She's got a bag stashed, okay? She's gonna make a getaway. She'll disappear for good!
Ava: Damn it.
Elizabeth: What if Jake never gets past this? What if his time with Helena scars him for the rest of his life?
Jason: We're not gonna let that happen.
Franco: Nope. None of us will.
Jake: My mom says I don't have to do the magic if I don't want to.
Helena: Oh, never mind what she says. If it weren't for me, you would be dead, Jake. Now, you know what you have to do, little man. Perform your magic trick. Oh. Make all of Port Charles disappear.
[Ava grabs her bags and documents, ready to flee.]
Scott: All right, listen. I want to file a complaint.
Dante: What? Why?
Scott: Your father attacked me.
Dante: Well, you seem fine to me.
Laura: Why would Sonny attack you?
Scott: Personal reasons.
Dante: Okay. I better go deal with this. Mwah.
Dante: Excuse me. Goodnight.
Lucy: Ladies and gentlemen, it's hard to believe, but, um, the time has come for the finale of another fabulous Nurses' Ball. I want to thank our talented performers and all the behind-the-scenes volunteers and especially our very, very generous sponsor, Burt's Bees.
Lucy: But you know what? I really -- I want to thank all of you especially because you show up, and you sit there, and you give so much to a cause that we all believe in so very much. So thank you. And now to close this wonderful evening, I would like to welcome back the General Hospital nurses and also a very, very special guest.
Epiphany: Now, I heard there was a secret chord that David played, and it pleased the Lord but you don't really care for music, do ya? It goes like this, the fourth, the fifth the minor fall, the major lift the baffled king composing "Hallelujah" Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Robin: I'm sorry I can't be there with you tonight. I was lovingly convinced by my family to sit this one out, because I am expecting my second child. I guess that's a symbol of how far we've come, right? Over 20 years ago, I was diagnosed with HIV. I didn't think that I would be able to have one child, let alone two. I didn't even think that I would be alive today. But here I am thanks to research and the dedication and the generosity of people like you. It's true there is no cure for HIV and AIDS, but I am living proof that it's a fight that we can win some day really soon.
Epiphany, Felix, Deanna, Amy, Bobbie: Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Felix: I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch
Deanna: I told the truth, I didn't come to fool ya and even though it all went wrong I stand before the Lord of song with nothing on my tongue but
All: Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
Amy: Well, maybe there's a God above but all I've ever learned from love was how to shoot somebody who outdrew ya, and it's not a cry that you hear at night it's not somebody who's seen the light it's a cold and it's a broken Hallelujah
All: Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah I did my best, it wasn't much I couldn't feel, so I tried to touch I've told the truth, I didn't come to fool ya and even though it all went wrong I'll stand before the Lord of song with nothing on my tongue but Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah
[Everyone holds lighted candles]
Jake: Mom? I'm ready to do my magic trick now.
On the next "General Hospital" --
Amy (to Nathan): You've done more than you know.
Laura (to Lulu): No, that didn't happen.
Jason: What's the hold up?
Elizabeth: We had a little problem.
André (to Anna): Why are you always so willing to give him the benefit of the doubt?
Valentine (to Nina): Is it Anna?
Nina: When is it never Anna?
Carly (to Ava): Do not lie to me! Because if you do, I don't know what I'm gonna do to you.
