Ava: And look at this pretty flower. Not nearly as pretty as you.

Carly: This isn't your scheduled visitation day.

Ava: No, you're right. It isn't.

Carly: So why do you have Avery?

Ava: What I do with my daughter and when I do it is none of your business -- especially now that Sonny's divorcing you.

Martina: [Sighs]

Sonny: [Sighs]

Martina: [Chuckles] That'll teach me to give a man jewelry -- even his own. [Chuckles]

Sonny: You don't have any regrets, do you?

Martina: [Sighs] Well... I can't help feeling less than transparent about my client. I'm...I'm sorry. Is -- is this weird?

Sonny: No, it's just that if we could stop talking about Carly for one second, it'd be -- it'd be nice.

Martina: [Chuckles] I guess -- I guess she just -- she's on my mind. I mean, not -- not because of, you know, this.

Sonny: Well, I hope she wasn't on your mind during this.

Martina: No.

[Both laugh]

Martina: The only thing that was on my mind during this... was this. [Chuckles]

Brad: "Urine trouble, Mr. Cooper." Is that what passes for humor with you? No wonder you don't get invited to parties.

Finn: Oh, Brad, that hurts my feelings. I mean, I realize it wasn't one of my best jokes, but, you know, I liked it.

Hayden: It's also not the point.

Brad: I agree. The point is that you, Dr. Finn, did not provide the sample you're required to provide.

Hayden: And when you thought that was Finn's sample, you picked it up. That's not your job.

Brad: Look, I-I don't know what kind of game you two weirdos are playing. All I know is that heads are gonna roll around here -- soon.

Griffin: You may be right. But I'm afraid to tell you, the head that's going to roll is yours, Brad.

Jake: I'm ready to show you my act for the Nurses' Ball.

Lucy: Yay. Okay, kid, show me what you got.

Jake: I need a few minutes to prepare.

[Both laugh]

Elizabeth: Okay.

Lucy: I can hardly believe that is the same little boy that froze with stage fright at last year's ball.

Elizabeth: I know, right?

Lucy: [Laughs] He's just... amazing. ...Amazing. Hey, oh, here. You left this.

Elizabeth: Oh, thank you. I think that's Jake's. Yeah. That's Jake's.

Lucy: Uh, Jake's? Um, is Jake seeing Dr. Maddox?

Elizabeth: Yeah, he is.

Lucy: Oh, well, you know, that -- that might just change everything.

Emma: Something's wrong. That's not Grandma.

Alex: Oh, she's just tired after the long flight, isn't she? You'll feel so much better after a nap, Emma. Here's the keys to my flat. The spare room's all made up, okay? For both of you.

Robin: You haven't said "flat" since I was a kid. Oh, my God, Emma's right. You're not my mother. You're...

Emma: Grandma!

Robin: Mom!

Alex: Hello, Anna.

Carly: If you think the divorce changes anything about Avery's custody, you couldn't be more wrong.

Ava: [Sighs] She's not your daughter, Carly. Could you pl-- would you please stop inserting yourself into her life? And people say that -- that I'm selfish, that I'm egocentric? Next to you, I'm like Mother Teresa.

Carly: [Laughs] What?

Ava: [Laughs] You have to be the center of all the drama, so dramatic. I, for one, am sick of it. And for the record, I'm only interested in one fact, one very wonderful fact, about your divorce -- that your time with my daughter is over. So, take a nice, long look at my pretty darling. It's your last.

Martina: [Sighs] God...

Sonny: [Chuckling] What?

Martina: As much as I've enjoyed this, not even you are worth risking my career.

Sonny: It won't happen.

Martina: [Chuckles] Yeah. [Sighs] I guess I'm just still worried Carly won't accept my reasons for withdrawing from her case. I-I don't think she'd buy the fact that I -- that my firm has a conflict of interest with you.

Sonny: You worry too much.

Martina: Oh, really?

Sonny: Yeah.

Martina: Well, um, maybe you can still take my mind off of things.

Sonny: Always happy to help.

Martina: Yeah? [Chuckles] Whoa, whoa.

Sonny: Wait --

Martina: What time is it?

Sonny: That's not usually the reaction I get when I --

Martina: Oh, no, hold on. [Sighs]

Sonny: [Chuckles]

Martina: Oh, God. I'm gonna have to get ready soon. I'm -- I'm catching a flight back to L.A. tonight.

Sonny: Okay. You know what? In that case, I'm gonna have to leave you with something, you know, that you won't forget.

Martina: Uh, yeah. Didn't you just do that? [Chuckles]

Sonny: [Chuckles] Well, I was thinking of taking it up a notch.

Elizabeth: What does Jake seeing Dr. Maddox have to do with him performing at the Nurses' Ball?

Lucy: Uh, you know, it's just that in the past, we've had issues, uh, with performers with their, you know, creative temperaments. [Chuckles]

Elizabeth: Oh, well, Jake is not a problem.

Lucy: I-I know, and y-you say that -- you kind of have to say that 'cause you're his mommy and everything. But I-I'm just a little concerned and --

Dr. Obrecht: [Clears throat]

Lucy: Oh, n-- excuse me. E-excuse me. No. Nope. Nope. Nein. Nyet, nyet, nyet. You see, I really am very, very busy, and I don't have time for -- how shall we say it in German -- your shenanigans.

Dr. Obrecht: Do not fear, mein freund. I come in peace to save the Nurses' Ball. [Chuckles]

Brad: [Chuckling] My head? Why would my head roll? I'm not the one who's d-done anything wrong -- which is more than I can say for a certain lying, drug-addicted doctor standing right over there.

Hayden: You were just about to take Dr. Finn's sample to the lab.

Brad: Yes, where I run lab tests. It's kind of my job.

Griffin: But retrieving samples from the floors is not your job. We have orderlies and assistants to do that.

Hayden: I mean, do you always do your subordinates' work, or were you making a special case for Dr. Finn?

Brad: [Scoffs] Dr. Finn is jeopardizing patients, okay, and this hospital, and nobody here seems to give a damn.

Hayden: We are all very concerned about his condition.

Brad: Really? Because addicts don't care about the condition. They can't. And their enablers like keeping them that way because they like being depended upon. See, his dependence is your drug. And you...

Griffin: Yes?

Brad: I don't know! But what I do know is that he has already failed two drug screenings and was about to blow off a third.

Finn: Actually, that was my fourth. The first three came back positive.

Brad: I knew it. I knew you flunked that last one, too.

Hayden: You know, the only problem with that is that the last sample he provided? It wasn't his.

Anna: What the hell are you doing?

Alex: Just stop. Ugh. What?

Anna: You are not going anywhere, do you understand?

Alex: Just leave me alone.

Nathan: Hey! Enough! Break it up! Anna -- Anna, what in...? Anna?

Anna: Yeah, Nathan, it's me.

Alex: No, I'm Anna. Just tell him to let me go, will you?

Anna: [Sighs]

Dr. Obrecht: You have heard my tape?

Lucy: Um, yes. Yes, I have heard your tape, and your voice is, um, good.

Dr. Obrecht: My voice is magnificent. Even my inexplicable detractors agree. Is that not so, Nurse Webber?

Elizabeth: Yes. You have a lovely voice.

Dr. Obrecht: I have learned my lesson after last year's abduction.

Lucy: [Chuckles] Oh, have you, now? [Chuckles]

Dr. Obrecht: I come to you hat in hand, so to speak, and humbly ask for an audition -- a chance. When I think of all the types of talent sharing the stage, I am inspired to share it, as well. I would even say I am determined. [Chuckles]

Lucy: I had no doubt of that.

Dr. Obrecht: So share it, I will. Now, if you need to see the full effect, I have the costume right here.

Lucy: Oh, thank you. Gee, no. I am in the middle of something very important. Excuse me.

Dr. Obrecht: And I have to get back to the hospital to save lives!

Lucy: Fine. I'll tell you what, why don't I meet you in the dressing room? And I'm sure everything will work out.

Dr. Obrecht: It had better.

Lucy: Even if we have to cut out another act.

Elizabeth: You're not gonna cut Jake out of the show for Obrecht or anyone else. This is important to him.

Hayden: I submitted my own sample for the last test. And guess what? It came up positive.

Brad: Great, so you're both junkies. What a fantastic love story.

Griffin: Actually, Hayden submitted portions of the sample to other labs. All the results came back negative.

Finn: Which means someone here at GH has been tampering with my drug screening.

Brad: And you think it's me?! No. No, no. Okay, wait. Forget about the test with Hayden's sample, okay. You failed two drug screenings all on your own!

Finn: Because of you.

Brad: I didn't tamper with your tests!

Griffin: Brad, you've made it known far and wide that you feel greatly wronged by Dr. Finn, and you had access to all of his tests.

Brad: O-of course I have. I have access to all the tests. People, I am the lab manager!

Griffin: Just come clean and I will do what I can before I take this to Dr. Quartermaine and the board. You're busted. Just admit what you've done. Just tell us the truth.

Carly: Sonny and I will decide how much time I spend with Avery moving forward. You don't get a vote.

Ava: You're so smug. So proud of yourself for blackmailing me away from my daughter when I was awarded legal custody.

Carly: Then why don't we do something about that, okay? Why don't we settle the custody issue once and for all? Let's go back to court, I will play the video of you having sex with Paul Hornsby, the serial killer. I mean, I'm sure that Diane can make a compelling argument that you were working with Paul. So, you won't only lose custody of Avery, you could possibly go to prison. Wow, the more I think about it, the more I love it. I don't really see a downside to this at all.

Ava: You'd be hurting Avery.

Carly: I would be protecting her. That's right. I would be protecting her from the woman who uses Avery as an excuse for every horrible thing she does.

Ava: You got a lot of nerve, lady. Standing there, lecturing me when you are obviously using my daughter to compensate for your own loss.

Carly: What the hell are you talking about?

Ava: Well, it's obvious. You're using Avery as a substitute for Morgan.

Martina: Oh, my God. This is so good. [Chuckles] The carbs are gonna kill me, wreck my body, and the butter's gonna give me a heart attack, but mmm, I'm gonna die a happy woman.

Sonny: Don't worry about it. We'll just work it off later.

Martina: [Laughs] Presumptuous.

Sonny: Is it?

Martina: Mm-hmm, it is. Mm. But you know what? It doesn't matter if you just teach me how to make this. Ugh.

Sonny: It's actually not -- not every difficult at all. It's a big hit with my family. The only person who didn't like it was Morgan. He always kept wanting to put parmesan on it and...

[Both chuckle]

Sonny: And I'd tell him, "stop putting the cheese 'cause it's not good for the pasta," you know?

Martina: I, uh, saw pictures of him inside. He's a -- he was a beautiful young man. Heartbreaker, just like his dad.

Sonny: Don't tell me that, 'cause I'll end up breaking your heart.

Martina: Mnh-mnh. No. You don't have to worry about me. I don't have a heart to break.

Sonny: I don't believe that at all. Morgan broke a lot of hearts... and he got his heart broken, too. [Groans] [Sighs]

Martina: I'm so sorry. I mean, I-I can't even imagine how... difficult that loss must be. I'm -- I'm really sorry.

Sonny: Yeah, me, too. Something was very wrong with my son... when he climbed into that stolen car. And I still haven't been able to make sense of it.

Nathan: All right, all right. So -- so, which one of you is Anna?

Anna: Me. Me.

Emma: That's my grandma.

Anna: Come here, sweetheart.

Nathan: Emma, are you sure?

Emma: Yeah.

Robin: Yes, Nathan, Emma's right. That's my mother. This is her twin sister, Dr. Alex Marick.

Anna: So, she assaulted me, as you saw -- among other things..

Nathan: I'm gonna take her into custody until we get all this figured out.

Alex: No, you have to let me go, please, because people's lives are at stake.

Nathan: Right, right.

Alex: You don't understand.

Nathan: Well, for now, you're under arrest for assault and disturbing the peace.

Anna: Oh, my goodness, I am so glad to see both of you. I'm so happy to be back here at all.

Emma: I knew she wasn't you, Grandma.

Anna: Oh, you're so smart for knowing the real me. [Chuckles]

Robin: Mom, what is going on? Why is Alex here?

Anna: I just got back, so I haven't figured any of it out yet.

Robin: Got back from where?

Anna: London. I went over there to talk to Alex, and... I got stuck there.

Robin: Mom, what about your protocols for PV?

Anna: I'm fine.

Alex: I took care of that. You're welcome.

Anna: Well, she did. So, anyway, I will fill you in on the whole story once I know.

Robin: Okay. Well, Alex gave us your keys, so I guess we'll meet you at home?

Anna: Okay. Can you do me a favor? Can you find Griffin, and can you tell him that the Anna he's been talking to isn't me?

Robin: Yes. As weird as the news is, I'm sure he'll be relieved.

Anna: Yeah. Try to find out what Alex has been saying to him. Once I know the whole story, I'll let you know -- which should be soon, okay?

Robin: Okay. I'm just so glad you're okay.

Anna: Oh, me, too.

Robin: [Chuckles]

Anna: Me, too.

Emma: Love you.

Anna: I love you, too. Right, so, I'm gonna need a secure place where I can question her.

Nathan: Right this way.

Brad: I am not going to confess to something I did not do.

Griffin: Then we'll have to prove the other screens have been tampered with, and for that... we'll need a clean sample.

Finn: Oh, and this time, Brad, you're gonna have to stay away from the testing.

Brad: You. You think you're so clever, don't you?

[Cell phone rings]

Brad: But really, you should be ashamed of yourself.

Hayden: Oh, you know what, if anyone should be ashamed, Brad -- uh, I got to take this. We'll finish this later. But in the meantime, Brad... get a lawyer. You're going to need one.

[Elevator bell dings]

Dr. Obrecht: Oh.

Brad: Excuse me.

Dr. Obrecht: Not until I have shared my news.

Brad: Okay. Who'd you toss off a parapet this time?

Dr. Obrecht: I have finally achieved my goal. It is small but noble goal -- one that has eluded me for far too long, but today, it is in my grasp and I shall not let it loose.

Brad: Great. Bye.

Dr. Obrecht: Finally, Herr Cooper, my talent will be showcased without bribery or subterfuge. But I see you are distracted.

Brad: Frankly, Liesl, a huge injustice is being done to me as we speak.

Elizabeth: Lucy, listen. He just got this magic kit, and he's really quite good at it. And he -- and he actually enjoys it, and it would just be a real blessing if he could perform.

Lucy: Okay, like, maybe next year. You know, he practices, and then he makes certain progress.

Elizabeth: Well, maybe he can just audition or... Come on, Lucy, just give him a chance.

Lucy: [Sighs]

Jake: Mom, do I get to do my show now?

Martina: Listen, I'm... if you'd rather not talk about it, I totally understand, but, um, I just -- I think -- I think you and I, um, we have an unusual bond.

Sonny: Yeah? How so?

Martina: Well, I mean, because even though we've been intimate, we're still practically strangers.

Sonny: Yeah.

Martina: And we know each other just enough to care, but not enough to care too much. Do you know what I mean? I -- so, if -- if you need a set of fresh eyes or ears, I mean, I'm... I'm here.

Sonny: I'm not one to really talk about things like this. Probably doesn't surprise you.

Martina: Shocked.

Sonny: Morgan was bipolar. He inherited that from me.

Ava: Morgan was your only biological child with Sonny. Without him, your bond is broken. So, you need Avery to get it back. You paint yourself as some kind of paragon of motherhood, accuse me of using Avery, when really, it's you that's using her to try to hold on to Sonny while he's divorcing you.

Carly: I don't buy it.

Ava: Of course, you're not going to admit it. You're not going to admit how self-serving you really are.

Carly: Not even you -- someone as hateful and nasty as you are -- could think I'm trying to replace Morgan with Avery. You're just trying to piss me off.

Ava: I meant every word. Avery is mine. You're nothing to her. So why don't you back the hell off?

Carly: Why are you trying to pick a fight with me? What are you trying to distract me from? Huh? Today's not your scheduled day with Avery. It's not.

Ava: Which is still none of your business.

Carly: How did you convince Sonny to let you spend time with her, huh? How'd you do it? What do you have on him?

Anna: All right. Thanks, Nathan. Um, you're gonna have to step outside 'cause you don't have clearance for what we're gonna discuss.

Nathan: All right. Leave the cuffs on ya. It's the fastest way to tell you two apart.

Anna: [Chuckles] Good idea. All right. Let's start at the beginning, shall we?

Alex: First of all, I want you to know I did everything in my power to protect you.

Anna: [Chuckling] Is that what you call it?

Alex: I left you in a safe place with round-the-clock care. I mean, it was the best that I could manage under the circumstances.

Anna: All right. Duly noted. So, I want to know about my history with Valentin and how much of it actually happened to you and when did that all start.

Alex: Oh, decades ago. Um, Valentin was still with the WSB. And I was... I was recruited by the DVX to do certain things -- things that you wouldn't.

Anna: Why?

Alex: Money -- same motive as you. But I didn't have any loyalty to the WSB. What do I care about spy games?

Anna: So, you wouldn't have cared, then, if you got me shot as a traitor?

Alex: You were a traitor all on your own.

Anna: Tell me about Valentin.

Alex: You know all about him. Ivan Theodore was a rising star in threat analysis, and he had access to classified projects and... I was assigned to impersonate you and seduce him and bring everything that I got from him back to the DVX. But I botched the final rendezvous, and Valentin took off with something highly classified and extremely dangerous. The Chimera.

Elizabeth: Of course, you get to do your show.

Lucy: Uh, we were just waiting for you to perform.

Jake: I've been ready for like five minutes.

Elizabeth: Oh, well, then, get to it. Show Lucy what you can do.

Lucy: All righty. I will not be blackmailed.

Elizabeth: And I will not let prejudice or hearsay kick my son out of the show.

Jake: Well, my assistant isn't in town yet, so this is just a sample.

Lucy: It's okay. It's good. No worries. All that counts here is talent.

Elizabeth: Go ahead.

Lucy: Go ahead.

Brad: They think I tampered with Finn's drug tests.

Dr. Obrecht: And did you?

Brad: No!

Dr. Obrecht: It would hardly be the most unscrupulous thing you've done.

Brad: That was the old me.

Dr. Obrecht: Mm-hmm.

Brad: Listen -- even if I did, it wouldn't make a difference. Okay, in this hospital, Finn can do no wrong.

Dr. Obrecht: I never trusted that man.

Brad: I can't believe I'm saying this, but... you were right.

Dr. Obrecht: Stay strong, Herr Cooper.

Brad: [Sighs]

Dr. Obrecht: I know we've had our differences, but you were a friend to my Britta. I'm here for you.

Brad: Thank you... I think.

Dr. Obrecht: Now, I need to get this costume pressed. What a night the Nurses' Ball will be! [Chuckles]

Griffin: Hey, we, uh, just handed Finn's sample over to hospital security. They will take it directly to the lab. Brad won't be allowed anywhere near it.

Hayden: I'm so glad this is almost over.

Finn: That makes two of us. Thanks. Yeah.

Griffin: See you guys.

[Elevator bell dings]

Emma: Griffin!

Griffin: Emma! Robin! Oh, my goodness, I'm so happy to see you.

Robin: Hi.

Griffin: How's the baby?

Robin: You, too. Coming along just fine.

Griffin: Great.

Emma: Griffin, you're not gonna believe what happened at the airport.

Griffin: Uh-oh. Should I be worried?

Robin: Do you think there's somewhere we can talk a little bit more privately?

Griffin: Yes, yes. Come on. Come on. Here. What's going on? What's -- what's wrong? You seem upset.

Robin: Uh... my mother recently, uh... literally hasn't been herself.

Anna: Yeah, I remember hearing something about Chimera. I mean, no details or anything, but... yeah, that it was deadly. But then, the WSB just shut the whole thing down.

Alex: Yeah. They were just trying to cover up the fact that it had disappeared.

Anna: 'Cause you got Valentin to steal it for you.

Alex: I told him that I was in mortal danger and that my life was, uh -- well, your life -- depended on it. And so, he stole it for me -- you. We met at this really lovely little church of Santa Theresa, and then we went across the square to a hotel... where I slept with him.

Anna: Oh, my God. You're a heartless bitch, aren't you?

Alex: No! It made him very happy. He was really sweet. Whether you believe me or not... I cared for him. I did. I saved his life.

Anna: Well, that was noble of you.

Alex: I was supposed to tie up all the loose ends. I was supposed to put out a kill order in your name.

Anna: Oh, yeah. With Valentin dead, there'd be no trace. I see.

Alex: I couldn't do it, though. So, the following morning, I just stayed out of the way -- you know, I had a long shower or something -- and I left the instructions for the kill order out where he could see it. And he did. Then, he ran... but he took The Chimera with him.

Anna: Oh. Well, DVX couldn't have been happy about that, could they?

Alex: I didn't care. I mean, it was over, as far as I was concerned. And then Valentin resurfaced again.

Anna: 'Cause he's the only one who knows what he did with it.

Alex: Yeah. I'm supposed to get him to tell me.

Anna: What do you want with a -- with a classified weapon? Who are you working for?

Sonny: Morgan was the sweetest little boy. [Sighs] And once he got into his teens... he started to get violent and impulsive. And I would -- I would ask myself, "is he? Is he not?" I would pray that he wouldn't be. Being bipolar is -- is a lifelong struggle. You can treat it and medicate it, but you can't be free of it. So, y-years ago... Morgan started just getting out of control. And Carly and I didn't have a choice. We -- we -- we had to get him diagnosed, so we took him and he started getting treatment. And he hated it.

Martina: Oh, God. I can imagine. I mean, a kid that age facing a lifetime of medication? Geez.

Sonny: Well, actually, um... he got off his medication, and he had a breakdown. And Carly and I had to have him committed.

Martina: [Sighs]

Sonny: It was one of the... one of the hardest things I've ever had to do. And I'm glad she did it with me. It was the right choice, and he started getting better. He started accepting his bipolar disorder, and, uh... he got out of the hospital. And he started doing great. He started -- you know, he was gonna rebuild his life. He -- he looked good. I was so proud of him... my little boy, you know? And then -- boom. Out of nowhere, in a matter of weeks, everything just fell apart. I don't understand why. It still haunts me. It's the pain that never ends.

Martina: [Sniffles] We... we all hurt, Sonny.

Sonny: Well...

Martina: I mean, and we think no one else could understand. I mean, sometimes, we're right. You know what I've learned? Sometimes, connecting with someone, you know, even for just a short time, can -- can help. And maybe for, uh -- for a moment, just -- just a moment -- you can forget all of this and the pain can go away. [Clicks tongue] Ugh. I don't think -- I'm not making any sense, am I?

Sonny: No, no, you're -- you're making a lot of sense. Hey, can you, uh... can you just stay with me?

Carly: Sonny hates you. He would never willingly give you one extra second with his daughter.

Ava: Maybe that was true once upon a time. But nowadays, things are different. It all started around the same time as his divorce proceedings.

Carly: Give me a break. Sonny did not have a change of heart because we're in the middle of a divorce. No, something else is going on.

Ava: I am not gonna waste the time I have with my precious daughter being interrogated by you. Say bye-bye to Carly.

Avery: Bye-bye, Carly.

Carly: Goodbye.

Ava: Bye-bye.

Carly: All right, Sonny, what's going on? Why did you give in to that bitch?

Hayden: I just wish we had more evidence against Brad -- something that would prove beyond a doubt that he tampered with the tests.

Finn: Yeah, I don't know if -- if this is gonna get rid of him, but I don't think Brad's gonna be a problem anymore.

Brad: Okay, you two are the worst.

Griffin: This explains so much about your mother's behavior since she's come back from England. We thought she seemed like a different person. Now we know.

Robin: Mm.

Emma: We sure do.

Griffin: Look, I need to see her, all right?

Robin: [Stammers] Not right now. Um, she's a little busy taking her twin into custody.

Griffin: Another reason why I'm worried.

Robin: Don't be. Honestly, if there's anyone that can untangle all of this, it's my mother.

Anna: Yeah, I can't really see you as a sleeper agent for the DVX, somehow.

Alex: Well, no. Everyone has moved on since the cold war. Everyone who -- who knew my history has since found other employment.

Anna: All right, so, this employer, then, found out that The Chimera is back in play, and is deadly and therefore valuable, and pulled you out of retirement to go get it.

Alex: Yeah. And you made it so easy for me, coming to London to ask questions about Valentin.

Anna: Yeah, I played right into your hands, didn't I? And then, you drugged me and took my place.

Alex: Valentin was quite receptive at first. You know, he does still carry a bit of a torch for you. And I have genuine feelings for him.

Anna: Do you? Or is that just a lie that you tell yourself to justify your cruelty, frankly?

Alex: You know what, screw you. I gave him more happiness than you ever did. You wouldn't even kiss him, for god's sake. Why, because he wasn't good-looking enough for you? I could see past all of that to the man he really was inside, you know?

Anna: Is that why you were in such a hurry, then, to get away? You failed. Valentin didn't give you The Chimera, did he?

Alex: No. You're gonna have to be the one to get it from him.

Martina: [Sighs] Hang on, hang on.

Sonny: What?

Martina: No, I don't want to take advantage of your pain. I just... [Sighs] Maybe I should go.

Sonny: No, no. Listen to me. Listen to me. You had the right idea. Can we just -- just forget about everything else? Just for now?

Martina: [Sighs]

Carly: "Conflict of interest" my ass.

Brad: Are you trying to get me fired? You guys would wreck someone's livelihood -- my livelihood -- just to cover up an addiction instead of getting help? H-how? How can you keep treating patients? And how can you keep letting him, knowing he's using?!

Finn: I'm not using!

Brad: The tests say that you are! Okay, you know what, if this hospital chooses to have your back instead of mine, so be it. Okay, but when patients are getting hurt and -- and dying, I can say I did what I could, all right? My -- my conscience is clear.

Finn: Either there goes the most brilliant liar ever, or Brad has gone off the deep end and actually has convinced himself he didn't tamper with my tests.

Hayden: Or something else is going on here, and we're missing it.

Dr. Obrecht: I won't say, "Auf wiedersehen," Dr. Finn, just, "good riddance." Once you've failed this final drug test... I'll never have to lay eyes on you again.

Griffin: Are you okay to fly?

Emma: Well, as long as we fly home the day after the Nurses' Ball, she's in acceptable limits.

Griffin: Oh, I see. [Chuckles]

Robin: Yes. Between Emma and her father, I am not taking any risks. They barely let me climb the stairs.

Emma: Can't be too careful.

Robin: See what I mean?

Griffin: Mm-hmm.

Emma: But we had to be here for the Nurses' Ball. Guess what?

Griffin: What?

Emma: Jake texted me yesterday. He's a magician now!

Griffin: No!

Emma: [Chuckles] He'd gonna perform at the ball, and he wants me to be his assistant.

Griffin: [Chuckles]

Jake: Ta-da!

Lucy: [Laughs] Whoa!

Elizabeth: Yay! [Laughs]

Lucy: Fantastic! Whoo! He is gonna be brilliant. You're brilliant! He's gonna be absolutely brilliant.

Elizabeth: Thank you. [Chuckles] Lucy, listen, I understand your -- your concerns with Jake's emotional state, but he really is doing much better, and I don't want you to --

Lucy: Don't care.

Elizabeth: You don't what?

Lucy: I don't care. Because you -- you're an amazing person, you're an excellent nurse, and you're a fantastic, great mother. So, if you say Jake's gonna be fine, Jake's gonna be fine. And besides, more importantly, you know what? Jake's gonna bring down the house.

[Both laugh]

Jake: Never forget, Jake. Never tell.

Alex: It's a little Chimera.

Anna: Oh, subtle. Yeah. Oh, so, let me guess -- so, while you were professing your sincere feelings for Valentin, you just sort of up and asked him, "Oh, excuse me, do you remember what you did with that deadly weapon that I had you steal for me?" God, he must have laughed in your face.

Alex: No. He didn't do much laughing. He told me that, uh, there was a buyer who had since died without using it.

Anna: So, it's still out there somewhere?

Alex: Yeah. And it's still deadly. So, you have to get Valentin to tell you what he did with it.

Anna: Oh, piece of cake... now you've got him to hate us both.

[Carly walks in on Sonny & Martina in bed.]
