Dante: Ooh, nice shot.

Michael: Oh, thanks.

Dante: Your shareholders at ELQ cool with you shooting pool tonight?

Michael: Yeah, well, I need to blow off some steam. It's been an interesting 24 hours.

Dante: Oh. Talking about Sonny setting up Jax to be arrested in front of your mom? Not the most memorable of moments as a cop, but I didn't have a choice.

Michael: That's my fault. I shouldn't have got you involved.

Dante: Well, I want to be involved. Didn't want to arrest Jax, but, like I said, Sonny didn't leave me much choice.

Michael: Yeah, well, the good news is Jax is being released.

Dante: Really? I didn't know that. Uh...he got bail?

Michael: No, no. The charges were dropped 'cause, uh, Nelle refused to cooperate.

Lulu: Really? Good for her.

Michael: Yeah. No, it's nice she did something [Clears throat] Good for Jax, but it doesn't change what she did to my parents.

Lulu: I know you're mad at Nelle for sleeping with your dad, but it's a two-way street. I mean, no offense to Sonny, but he is every bit as responsible as she was.

Michael: Wait. Dad didn't tell you?

Dante: Tell me what?

Michael: About Nelle... and what really happened between dad and her that night.

[Door opens]

Lulu: Oh, looks like Nelle can tell us herself.

Nina: "Time heals all wounds" -- in your dreams, viper. Valentin, why are you not telling me that Anna gave you this watch?

[Door opens]

Valentin: Nina? Have you seen my watch?

Nina: Hey. Um. You were out riding.

Valentin: Yeah, I was, but I came back early. Why are you holding my watch?

Anna: Yes, Nina, why don't you mind your own business? Hmm?

Tracy: Your only option is to leave.

Laura: I wouldn't say that's her only option.

Tracy: Well, it's either that or wait for the Immigration officers to arrive with a warrant, and then God knows what trouble she'll be in.

Samira: I'm not leaving without the painting. It's the only way I can save my daughter.

[Elevator bell dings]

Finn: [Sighs] Oh...hello. [Sniffles]

Hayden: I was just heading down to my office.

Finn: Yeah, no, of course. Hey, is this gonna -- this the way it's gonna be every time we run into each other? I mean, uh... hospital's not that big.

Hayden: It's not that small, either.

Finn: Hey, look, I know... you want to keep your distance while I'm going through rehab, but we don't have to act this awkward, do we, just when we bump into each other?

Griffin: Hey. Sorry to interrupt. I need a word with Finn.

Finn: Is this about the drug test I took this morning?

Hayden: Uh... got it. I'll go.

Finn: No, it's okay. Please -- please stay. I, uh, I-I want you to hear this. I want to hear the results of the test to prove that I'm not using. Go ahead, Griffin.

Griffin: Your test came back positive.

Nina: It's a beautiful watch. You have excellent taste. You have so many watches, why did you need to get another one?

Valentin: No particular reason. I just liked it. And I could afford it, which wasn't always the case. I used to have to do questionable things for money, and now I have the money to buy questionable things.

Nina: So you're indulging yourself.

Valentin: Yeah. But I would rather indulge you. Wait right there. [Sighs]

Nina: Are those for riding a horse or riding you?

Valentin: Whatever strikes your fancy, darling. But I would like to show you your gift before it gets too dark.

Nina: There's more?

Valentin: Mm-hmm. Give you a hint -- she's waiting in the stables.

Nina: Oh, my God, you got me a horse? You got me a horse?

Hayden: I'm gonna let you two talk.

Finn: No, please. Stay right here. There's no way I tested positive.

Hayden: Did it say what the drug was?

Griffin: The test isn't that specific. It won't tell us exactly what kind of drug, only the category, and Finn here tested positive for some form of opiate, which includes Zen-Zen or heroin.

Finn: Griffin. It's impossible, all right? It's got to be a false positive.

Griffin: They ran the test twice -- same results both times.

Finn: No, no, no. Something's wrong. Something's wrong. [Sighs] Listen, maybe there's still a -- a trace of Zekenestrol in my system.

Hayden: D-doesn't it take a long time for that drug to pass through the system?

Griffin: Maybe.

Finn: Listen. These tests can be wrong. You and I both know that, and -- and they need to be repeated, but, listen, I still think there's a mistake somewhere.

Griffin: Well, we'll wait till the next test and see what happens. After that, if it doesn't come back clean, it had better show a significant decrease in the amount of drug in your system. I have to go. As your supervisor, I want to remind you that under no circumstances are you allowed to treat any patients.

Finn: Aye, aye, Captain. Supervisor, supervisor -- I'm gonna get that right. [Sighs]

Hayden: Okay, Griffin's gone, so tell me the truth. Have you been using?

Tracy: I'm just trying to help you.

Samira: I understand that, and believe me, I'm grateful. But I can't leave without the painting.

Laura: [Sighs] Tracy. I was there with you when you read your father's letter, and -- and I know how valuable that painting is to you.

Tracy: Invaluable.

Laura: But it's more than a reminder of your father. It has the power to save lives. Think how you'd feel if you were in her shoes and someone you loved were at risk, like, you know, a relative, maybe, like maybe even a niece. Tracy, a couple of months ago, you didn't even know that this painting existed. And I know how special it is that your father saw it, and he thought of you, but your real connection to your father is that letter. You have that letter. You have his words, you know? The painting is just -- it's a thing.

Tracy: So...let's say I give her the painting. How does she get it out of the country? There are levies. There's red tape. It's bound to bring attention to Samira and her expired visa.

Samira: It's clear you're not going to change your mind. I should go.

Laura: [Sighs]

Samira: You think I'm horrible.

Ned: I think... the situation requires further investigation.

Laura: If it turns out that Samira is your sister, will you help her then? Or maybe you just want to get rid of her, so you won't be reminded of Edward's other daughter?

Finn: Hey. I swear on my life I haven't taken anything. I...can't lie to you and...say I wasn't tempted -- I was. But I know I'm an addict. Getting beat up on the dock -- I want that to be my rock bottom. If it's not and I use again, then I definitely lose my job, I probably lose my career, and more importantly, I-I lose you. You know, I want to crawl up out of this hole that I've dug for myself. I want to get... Supervisor Griffin's respect back and -- and Monica's... and yours.

Hayden: Why are you sweating? I mean, I-I don't want to sound judgmental, but I also don't want to enable you. And you look like you did when you were using.

Finn: No, I don't mind the question, you know? It's my own fault for creating a situation where people are gonna doubt... the things that I say. Listen, I, uh, I'm probably sweating a little because I-I did a workout on my lunch break. You know? That's one of the things they told me in rehab, you know, is that it's one of the ways to cope with addiction is to stay distracted and w-work out, do things like that, and I-I did. I took a shower afterwards, and maybe still I'm a little heated. If you don't believe me, you can check with Felix. He was there the entire time I was in the gym.

Hayden: I'll talk to Felix.

Finn: You should. I'm sorry, he was the only one who was there.

Hayden: No, it's not that.

Finn: Okay, so what's bothering you?

Hayden: How come your test came back positive?

Finn: I don't know. I don't know. You know... I know Zekenestrol has a long half-life. Maybe there was still a-a-a trace of it in my system or maybe, like I told Griffin, just the test is wrong.

Hayden: You promise me you've been playing by the rules?

Finn: Playing by the rules? Uh, well... Not exactly.

Michael: Hey. You have a minute?

Nelle: What's up?

Michael: Well, I was just talking to my brother, and he, uh, he has no idea that you drugged my father. Maybe you should tell him, you know? Get it out in the open.

Lulu: You know...I hope they work things out. Nelle is crazy about Michael.

Dante: How do you know that?

Lulu: As soon as I found out that Nelle was working for Valentin as Charlotte's nanny, I made an effort to get to know her. I should obviously know the woman who takes care of my daughter on a daily basis, and... fortunately, I like her. And as far as I can tell, I think that Michael was pretty into her before... the whole story about Nelle and your dad hit the fan.

Dante: Well...Michael is very forgiving, almost to a fault [Sniffles] Unless someone hurts the family. Then he's got a long, mean memory. But the fact that he's being as cool as he is to Nelle means we're not in the loop. We don't know everything that happened with that whole thing.

Lulu: Mm. Here's an idea. How about you take off your detective hat for the night...

Dante: Mm.

Lulu: ...And just let it go and we can enjoy our date night? Hmm?

Dante: [Sighs]

Nina: That horse is the most gorgeous creature I have ever seen.

Valentin: I love seeing you this happy.

Nina: I am. You know, as much as I loved riding your horses, I just never felt like there was one of my own.

Valentin: And now there is.

Nina: weren't really riding before -- you were getting the stable ready for Lumière, right?

Valentin: Guilty as charged.

Nina: And I love the name Lumière. It's so perfect for a cremello.

Anna: [Sighs] Enough about the damn horse.

Valentin: You know, horses of that color are exceedingly rare, but I wanted you to have the very best.

Nina: I love it. [Kisses] Oh, she's gorgeous. Beautiful. She defines light. She glows.

Valentin: Just like you right now.

Anna: [Scoffs]

[Both kissing]

Valentin: Mm.

[Kissing continues]

Valentin: Right here?

Nina: Yeah. Charlotte's on a play date, remember?

[Doorbell rings]

Griffin: Anna!

Anna: Oh.

Griffin: Why haven't you returned any of my calls or texts?

Anna: I-I've been extremely busy.

Griffin: Too busy to save your own life?

Anna: What are you talking about?

Griffin: I ran into your oncologist today. He told me you didn't show up for a phlebotomy. Do you have any idea how dangerous that is? Look, I'm taking you to GH right now. Let's go.

Anna: Oh, wait. I'm fine. I am absolutely fine. I certainly don't need to go to the hospital.

Griffin: Anna, I get that you pride yourself on being tough and independent, but you're not superhuman. You need to get the treatment done immediately.

Anna: Oh, it's so touching how much you care.

Griffin: No, the red blood cells can build up in your body and cause a serious blood clot, like the one that made you pass out at Wyndemere. Do you want that to happen again?

Anna: No. I certainly don't. But it's all right.

Griffin: No buts. No more buts. I'm calling Robin.

Anna: No, don't do that! I don't want her telling me what to do. I don't need you doing that, either, please. [Sighs]

Griffin: Wow. Y-you are so stubborn.

Anna: Yeah, could you just let me finish? I do not want you or Robin to intervene, because I've already had my treatment.

Griffin: Why doesn't your doctor know about that?

Anna: I decided to have it performed at a private facility.

Griffin: Why? GH is providing excellent care for you.

Anna: Yes. Of course. No question. But between everybody that knows you and everybody that knows Robin, it's just too public for me. Everyone is so concerned with me. And that's lovely... in theory, but I really would like my health issues to be kept to myself. And I would just like to go about my treatments without all the fuss. Is that so wrong?

Griffin: [Scoffs] Yes. Uh, yes, it kind -- it kind of is, because left to your own devices, you could skip a treatment, because you get caught up in a case. You need the extra fuss.

Anna: Could you just please respect my wishes and my privacy? Could you just do that?

Griffin: I'm still gonna check on you. Blood cancer is nothing to be messed with.

Anna: No. I understand that.

Griffin: Not to mention, I'm still worried about your relationship with Valentin.

Anna: Oh, don't, it's... it was just a memory that I blocked. And when I went to my contact at the WSB, I-I recalled it. And... his accusations of me were right. I really was very cruel to him.

Griffin: Now, that just doesn't sound like you, Anna.

Anna: Well... no one's perfect. We all have our pasts, don't we? So...I treated Valentin poorly, and it -- it happened. [Sighs]

Griffin: So, what's next? Between you and Valentin?

Nina: Stop. Stop.

Valentin: What? Why?

Nina: Because if I'm gonna ride Lumière, I have to do it before nightfall.

Valentin: You can ride Lumière all day. You can ride Lumière in the morning, in the afternoon, at night. You can't stop.

Nina: No, I don't know if I can, you know, think... when I know she's in the stable.

Valentin: I can change your mind.

Lulu: One of the things that I love most about you...

Dante: Mm.

Lulu: ...Is how determined you are.

Dante: Mm.

Lulu: You never give up. But tonight, we are celebrating how well my first visit with Charlotte went, so maybe you could just put the police work aside?

Dante: [Sighs] I can do that. I'm gonna get us another round.

Lulu: Mm-hmm.

Nelle: When I told Sonny that I drugged him, I knew there was a chance that he could have me arrested.

Michael: Mm-hmm. Well, I guess he didn't want to pursue it.

Nelle: So what about you, hm? Brother's right here. Could do it yourself, hm? Have me arrested.

Lulu: Hey, guys. I'm...sorry to interrupt. I'm kind of anxious to hear how your new job is going.

Nelle: Oh, it's great. Charlotte's a fantastic kid.

Lulu: Did she happen to mention her visit with me?

Nelle: Yeah, she loved the Easter egg hunt and, uh, loved seeing the bunny, too.

Lulu: Oh, yay, yay. [Chuckles] I just wanted her to have a good time and be comfortable around me. It's so important that we have a chance to bond.

[Barstool scrapes]

Dante: Keep it.

Bartender: Cheers.

Dante: Uh, listen, I'm a detective with the PCPD investigating the attempted robbery that happened here.

Bartender: Wasn't my shift.

Dante: You might still be able to help me. Uh, one of the items we recovered was a prescription bottle of pills. They didn't belong to anyone here -- staff, customers that were here that night. I'm trying to figure out how they got here. You ever seen a prescription bottle in with the supplies somewhere -- a shelf, maybe? Or -- or a box with lost-and-found stuff?

Bartender: Um, almost every shift, someone comes in looking for glasses or a cell phone. I check that box every day. I've never found pills before.

Dante: Thanks.

Hayden: I can't believe that after all of that, now you admit that you're using.

Finn: No, no, no. This -- this has nothing to do with drugs of -- of any kind.

Hayden: Then what rules are you breaking?

Finn: Oh, well, I had a friend, uh, come to me with a problem, and I said I would help.

Hayden: What does Tracy want?

Finn: What? I didn't say --

Hayden: Look, come on. Who else could it be -- Roxy? You don't have any other friends.

Finn: Well, you don't have to say it like that.

Hayden: But for the record, it has nothing to do with me treating patients. I did agree to use hospital resources for something that's not entirely ethical. I know I could get in trouble, but it was important to my one friend, so I said yes.

Hayden: It's -- it's your career.

Finn: Yeah.

Hayden: It's your life.

Finn: I know it's my career, but... at least you know, if I get into trouble, it had nothing to do with drugs.

Laura: Tracy. Look, I know we've had a long and complicated relationship, but... [Sighs] I think I know who you are deep down, and you are better than this. You know, come on, a woman who may be your sister, who's absolutely desperate --

Tracy: Half-sister.

Laura: [Sighs]

Tracy: And that hasn't been proven yet.

Laura: Who cares? Who cares? Just do the right thing. Help her. You know? She's a mother. She's -- she's trying to save her daughter from a life of sheer hell.

Ned: I need to make some phone calls to see if there's a solution we haven't considered. In the meantime, Mother, can you take Samira someplace safe? Not Canada -- someplace in a 20-mile radius just in case Immigration does return. Samira? Are you okay? Samira? Oh, whoa!

Samira: [Grunts] Laura.

Lulu: I have the best news.

Dante: Oh, yeah? What'd I miss?

Lulu: While you were getting the beer...

Dante: Mm-hmm.

Lulu: ...I went over to say hello to Nelle, see how she's enjoying her job as Charlotte's nanny, and Charlotte loved the Easter egg hunt and seeing the bunny on our lawn. [Chuckles]

Dante: That's great. I'm so happy for you. Now -- now you don't have to pull any tricks with, uh, Valentin.

Lulu: I wasn't going to pull any tricks with Valentin.

Dante: Yes, you were. Yes, you were. You were all fired up. You were gonna try and win by whatever means necessary. I was actually a little concerned about your well-being for a little while there.

Lulu: Okay, fine, I was considering having Nelle spy on Valentin for me.

Dante: Yeah.

Lulu: Mm.

Dante: You mentioned that. How were you gonna do that?

Lulu: You won't like this part.

Dante: Mm.

Lulu: I was gonna pimp out your brother.

Michael: Well, I, uh, I only met Charlotte once with you, but, um, yeah, I feel for the kid. It sucks being the prize in a custody war.

Nelle: How do you know?

Michael: How do I know? Uh...well, let's see. First, there was the custody fight between my uncle on one side and my mom and my biological father on the other. Then there was the custody fight between my mom and dad and my biological father. Then there was a custody fight between my mom and my dad. So, yeah. [Chuckles] I spent a lot of time being shuttled back and forth, knowing that the people I loved were pissed off at each other because of me. [Breathes deeply] And, uh, no matter how many times my parents told me it wasn't my fault, I didn't believe them.

Nelle: Maybe you could explain that to Charlotte?

Michael: No, I wish I could, but I'm a stranger to her. She wouldn't listen to me.

Nelle: Well, I mean, I'm her nanny. You know, I could introduce you two. Or not. We didn't finish our conversation... about your brother... the cop. Look, if you're gonna tell him what I did to your dad, just -- can you just do it now? 'Cause I don't like the threat just hanging over my head.

Finn: You're never gonna look at me the same.

Hayden: It's funny you care so much what I think now, but, you know, when you were detoxing and at your worst, you called me a two-faced, lying gold digger.

Finn: [Sighs] I'm sorry. I don't remember what I said then. I don't believe any of that.

Hayden: Why not? It's true.

Finn: In the past, maybe, just like it's true that I was a junkie. But you changed. You showed me compassion and love, and you were there when I needed you most, and I'm gonna change, too. When I...get back to being someone I actually like or at the very least, someone that can look at themselves in the mirror. I know I have a long way to go. But I'm working on it.

Hayden: You understand why I'm gun-shy.

Finn: Yeah. Yeah, of course. Yeah. You know, I still remember the... the day we first met, Tracy's room. I don't think we liked each other very much. You were... trying to get over the mess that your life had become. But look at you now. You succeeded. And I will, too. I know it's not gonna be easy. I just hope maybe you can see that I'm on the right path. And I am gonna be the kind of man you can trust.

[Elevator bell dings]

Tracy: Finn, I need your help.

Finn: What do you need?

Tracy: This is the young woman that I told you about this morning. She just passed out at the house.

Finn: Get a wheelchair.

Laura: She fainted for no apparent reason.

Finn: All right.

Ned: She was out for a while.

Finn: Let's get her into exam room 1. Okay?

Laura: Okay, got it.

Tracy: You will help her, won't you?

Finn: [Sighs] I, uh, I can't help her. It -- it violates the -- the terms of my suspension.

Tracy: It's an emergency.

Finn: Deanna. Deanna, we -- we have a woman that fainted in exam room 1. Will you get her vitals for me?

Deanna: Uh, yes, Dr. Finn.

Finn: Thank you.

Tracy: So that's a yes, you will treat her?

Anna: Nothing's going to happen between me and Valentin because we called a truce.

Griffin: Does he know that?

Anna: Yes, yes. We made the decision together.

Griffin: Look, I just don't see it. I mean, Valentin doesn't strike me as the type of human that has the ability to forgive.

Anna: I trod very carefully.

Griffin: [Sighs] All right, look, you know I applaud anybody who decides to make peace, just, for me, just be careful. I-I-I don't trust him, and neither should you.

[Cell phone ringing]

Anna: Oh, you know me. Always vigilant.

Griffin: Yeah. [Scoffs] This again. Yeah, Finn, what is it?

Finn: Hey, listen. I-I've got an emergency patient, and I-I know I'm not allowed to treat her or else I'll be fired. Can you help me out?

Griffin: Have the nurse page the on-call doctor.

Finn: No, no, l-listen, she's got an expired visa and Immigration's after her, all right? Listen, I figured, you know, you being who you are, being a-a-a priest that, you know, you could help.

Griffin: Yeah, uh, yeah, okay. I'm -- I'm on my way. Listen, there's an emergency at the hospital. I-I ha-- I have to go, but...

Anna: Okay.

Griffin: We will have our dinner, okay?

Anna: Yes. I look forward to it. Okay. Okay.

[Door opens, closes]

Anna: [Sighs] Hi. I need to schedule a procedure immediately. Yes, yes, yes. A phlebotomy.

[Both kissing]

Valentin: I love you, Nina. You've transformed my life. You've made me happier than I've ever been, happier than I deserve to be.

Nina: Why do you say that?

Valentin: Well, when I left the WSB, I was a bad, bad man. Did some bad, bad things. I justified them, because I needed the money for my surgeries. [Sighs] But then, after that, it was just what I did. And I never really changed until Charlotte came along. I just wasn't a nice person.

Nina: I haven't always been a nice person.

Valentin: No, that's different. You reacted out of pain. I made conscious choices. [Sighs] I just -- I don't want those choices to affect you or Charlotte. My greatest happiness is knowing that you and Charlotte are happy.

Nina: I am. Is that why you gave me the horse?

Valentin: I gave you the horse to see you smile... and to let you know how sorry I am.

Nina: For what?

Valentin: The whole business with Anna. The back and forth, my past -- I just -- I apologize.

Nina: Listen. I love Lumière. She's gorgeous. But you don't have to get me a horse. All you have to do is be honest with me. If honesty is what I'm asking for, then I should give you honesty in return. And...yes, this thing with Anna does still bother me.

Valentin: The kindest thing I could say about Anna Devane is that her past is as compromised as my own. [Sighs] She wants to avoid that past as much as I do. She's realized that the only way she can do that is by offering a truce.

Nina: Okay, listen... that sounds rational. But...the truth is, if you suspect your mate is cheating on you, and then you find out that they are, it kills you. It shatters your self-confidence. It's hard to trust again. I don't know -- maybe it's something that will be there for me forever, feeling this way.

Valentin: I'm not cheating on you.

Nina: I know, but I'm saying jealousy makes people do... really crazy things. Really crazy. And I don't want to go backwards. I don't want to give in to that part of myself because of Anna Devane.

Valentin: Listen to me. Anna Devane is not a threat to you or to us. I promise you that.

Anna: We'll see about that.

Nina: I'm gonna hold you to that promise.

Valentin: You should. There's a little daylight left. Are you gonna ride Lumière? Or you want to continue this conversation in the bedroom?

Nina: Um, I'm gonna ride Lumière.

Valentin: Mm.

Nina: [Chuckles] And then, we can have dinner in bed. What do you think of that?

Valentin: I am enthusiastically wild about any suggestion about you in a bed.

Nina: [Chuckles] Okay. Oh, well, why don't you get Bosco, and we can ride together?

Valentin: No, I'm gonna run an errand in town. I'll be back by dinner.

Nina: All right. What errand?

Valentin: It's just a business thing. I'll be back before you're done with your ride.

Nina: Okay.

Valentin: You okay?

Nina: Yeah. I'm good. I am literally gonna ride into the sunset. [Laughs]

[Cell phone ringing]

Valentin: What do you want?

Anna: Is this a bad time?

Valentin: Uh, no. Actually, I need to see you.

Anna: [Gasps] How serendipitous. I need to see you, too.

Valentin: I'm on my way.

Michael: Look, it's, uh, not my place to tell Dante what you did. It's my dad's. And since he's chosen not to, you know what? I guess you're off the hook.

Nelle: Are you okay with that?

Michael: [Sighs]

Nelle: 'Cause you were really angry before.

Michael: I am still angry, Nelle. I just understand you better. I know you weren't completely at fault. But you set something in motion that is still spiraling. I mean, my parents are getting a divorce, and it's gonna get ugly. And as bad as I feel for them, I feel even worse for Avery and Josslyn.

Nelle: If you never believe anything that I say, please believe... I never meant to hurt your sisters.

Michael: Yeah, I know. That's the thing about revenge, Nelle -- it's like an explosion. You can't control where the fallout hits.

Nelle: So, this is your way of saying you're never gonna forgive me?

Michael: No, I'm not -- I'm not saying that. I'm just...

Bartender: To-go order for Nelle?

Nelle: That's me. I should go.

Michael: Wait, wait, wait. Nelle, Nelle. Maybe...someday... I can forgive you.

Nelle: I should go.

Dante: You were gonna play matchmaker with Nelle and my brother?

Lulu: I was gonna give them a little nudge, but now I don't have to, 'cause Plan B is off the table.

Dante: Oh, good. I'm glad.

Lulu: Mm. Oh, okay, Mr. High and Mighty. I saw you talking to the bartender over there. Were you asking questions about Morgan's pills? So, working right in the middle of our date night.

Dante: [Sighs] I'm sorry. It's just -- it's not any other case -- it's my brother.

Lulu: I know. And I love you for it.

Dante: And I love you, even though you're tying to use my brother for your own personal gain.

Lulu: It was my mother's idea?

Dante: [Chuckles]

[Bottles clink]

[Elevator bell dings]

Griffin: Hey.

Finn: Thank you for helping out.

Griffin: Yeah, no problem.

Finn: Her name's Samira. She's in exam room 1. Deanna's running her vitals.

Griffin: Okay.

Finn: She's, uh -- she's in good hands. We should know something soon.

Laura: Okay, great. Thank you.

Finn: Yeah, you're welcome.

Laura: If you don't mind, I'm gonna go see if Kevin's in his office.

Ned: Um, actually, I need to touch base with Olivia, too. Be right back.

Tracy: So, uh, what's w-wrong with her?

Finn: Oh, I don't know. Could be something as simple as dehydration and stress.

Tracy: When are you gonna have the results of that DNA test?

Finn: I put a rush on it. Could be tonight -- it could be a few days.

Griffin: A few days? Is that the best you can do?

Finn: Yes. It is, considering I'm putting what's left of my career on the line to do it at all.

Ned: Mother. What was that about?

Hayden: Finn?

Finn: Huh?

Hayden: Um, I'm really impressed.

Finn: Oh. For what?

Hayden: That you didn't break your agreement with Monica and you didn't treat that patient, especially since it was Tracy that was asking.

Finn: Yeah, that was -- that was hard. Yeah. Um, but, like I told you, I'm trying.

Hayden: I can see that. And I can see the man that you are when you're not under the influence.

Finn: [Scoffs] I'm almost afraid to ask -- and?

Hayden: I think I'm going to give it a little time. Give us time.

Finn: Yeah? That's all I ask.

Hayden: It's a deal.

Tracy: Nothing. I'm...worried about Samira.

Ned: Understandable. She collapsed right in front of us. [Sighs] But she is also a virtual stranger who's asking you to give up Grandfather's last gift to you.

Tracy: Your point?

Ned: I'm just wondering why you care so much so soon. It's not like you. But then again... Grandfather is where you're most vulnerable.

Tracy: Samira has nothing to do with your grandfather, except that she wants my painting.

Ned: Exactly. The painting is key.

Laura: Tracy. Is everything okay?

Tracy: No. And it's gonna be till I get that damn DNA test back. And that could not be for days.

[Pool balls clatter]

Dante: Mike, we're out of here.

Michael: All right.

Lulu: Did you and Nelle resolve anything?

Michael: [Chuckles] You know, I'm not really sure there is anything to resolve.

Lulu: Oh. Well, I hope you're wrong about that. Nelle obviously screwed up, but maybe she can do better if somebody believes in her.

Dante: All right.

Nina: Hey. Valentin, are you here? Of course not. [Sighs and remembers]

Valentin: Nina.

Nina: What are you doing here?

Anna: I-I had to find out something.

Nina: Can you please get out? I don't want to see you here ever again.

Anna: Yeah, you won't.

Nina: Just, please, don't be with Anna.

Nelle: Nina?

Nina: Hey.

Nelle: Sorry. I'm sorry to disturb you, but I -- Charlotte's not in her room, and I've just been looking everywhere. Was I supposed to pick her up?

Nina: I know. I'm so sorry. I didn't text you. I apologize. She's with her friend Keri for a sleepover.

Nelle: Oh, okay. Okay, thank God. I was -- I was really worried.

Nina: Yeah.

Nelle: Um, those two are so cute together.

Nina: Aren't they cute?

Nelle: Yeah, they're so cute.

Nina: Yeah, it's sweet. It's really sweet. I apologize. I didn't let you know that you were free.

Nelle: Oh, it's totally fine. I have a great book I want to finish. It's a spy thriller.

Nina: Oh. Wow. You like spy thrillers?

Nelle: Oh, yeah. It's my favorite genre -- you know, just pure escapism. I think being a spy in some European country just sounds so exotic.

Nina: It does. I know. So much fun. Um...could I ask you a favor?

Nelle: Yeah, sure. Why don't you put your love for spy thrillers to good use? What do you think? Uh... I'd like you to spy on somebody for me.

[Doorbell rings]

Anna: [Sighs] Come in. Please. Thank you so much for being able to meet at such short notice. Can I get you a drink?

Valentin: No. No, I, uh, I won't be staying. I've just come to return this.

Anna: You're giving it back?

Valentin: Yeah. Whatever there was between us, it's over.

Anna: No. [Watch clatters lightly]

Anna: Wait. Don't. [Smiles]

On the next "General Hospital" --

Nelle (to Nina): Who exactly do you want me to spy on for you?

Anna (to Valentin): In a very real sense, I owe you my life.

Griffin (to André): Do you think she's hiding something?

Kiki (to Ava): Working at GH makes me happy. Can't you see that?

Sonny (to Bobbie): If you have something to say, I want to hear it.

Carly (to Michael): I won't do anything that he doesn't deserve.
