Elizabeth: Well, I thought that was a productive follow-up, didn't you?

Jason: I did. It seems that Dr. Maddox has a handle on things.

Elizabeth: Yeah. He was right about us presenting a united front. Jake needs to see that we're on the same team -- that he can count on both of us.

Jason: Yeah, I agree. You know, it was nice, taking him to school together this morning.

Elizabeth: [Sighs] He was really surprised to see you.

Jason: I saw that. I'd like that to become more of a regular thing, do it as often as we can.

Elizabeth: Okay. Yeah, I'd like that. Anything to get rid of the tension he's sensing. 'Cause if we're not comfortable, then he's not comfortable, and --

Jason: And then he can't be honest with us about how he's feeling.

[Elevator bell dings]

Elizabeth: Right.

Jason: It's great. Look, we agree on something, and we're not gonna let anything or anyone get in the way of our son's progress, so... I got to go. Good to see you. Thank you.

Franco: Kiki? Hey, Kiki! You got a minute? I got to talk to you.

Kiki: I'm actually on my way to class. Can we talk later?

Franco: No.

Kiki: Okay, what's wrong? Are you okay?

Franco: Yeah, I'm fine. But I think Jake might be in serious trouble.

Tracy: I really need your help.

Finn: What kind of help?

Tracy: Um... I need a DNA test.

Finn: What do you need a DNA test for? And -- and you know I'm not a geneticist.

Tracy: No, but you're a doctor and you're my friend -- or what passes for a friend in my life, 'cause I don't really have a lot of friends -- and I need someone I can trust.

Finn: Okay.

Tracy: Oh, you'll do it?

Finn: It depends. Who's the test for, Tracy?

Monica: Yes?

Officer Torosyan: I'm looking for Samira Adin. I need to speak to her -- now.

Monica: And you are...?

Officer Torosyan: Officer Torosyan, Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Ms. Adin entered this country on a 72-hour emergency visa, which has now expired.

Monica: And what makes you think this person is here?

Officer Torosyan: Is Ms. Adin here or not?

Michael: [Sighs] Jax is going to be released.

Sonny: [Laughs] Are you kidding me?

Michael: This is a good thing.

Sonny: Yeah, he's not even in there five minutes. Doesn't even n-need to get his suit pressed.

Michael: Calm down, just calm down.

Sonny: Damn it. This is the worst --

Michael: Is this -- is this what you really wanted? Did you really want Jax to go to prison?

Sonny: I knew he wasn't gonna do time, I just thought he'd be in there a little longer. The cops do have a recording...

Michael: Yes.

Sonny: ...Of his confession.

Michael: They do, thanks to you.

Sonny: So why would he get off scot-free?!

Carly: I know why you chose not to testify against Jax. It's because you want to look good for Michael. You want Michael to think that he got through to you -- to think that you've changed. Hell, you may even want to believe that you've changed and that you're a better person. You may even want to believe that you're good enough for my son, but you're not. You are a damaged, screwed-up little girl. And just like me, you will destroy what you love most, so don't even try it. Don't even try loving Michael... because I know you now. Yeah, I know the real you, and I see you coming. And I will do whatever it takes to stop you.

Nelle: I told the truth about Sonny. I refused to press charges against Jax. Now, I'm just wondering, Carly, when is it ever gonna be enough for you?

Carly: Oh, that's easy -- never. And the sooner you get that through your head and you stay away from my son, the better.

Tracy: It doesn't matter who the test is for.

Finn: It matters to me.

Tracy: Why?

Finn: I've been suspended. I'm on probation -- oh, and thanks for asking, by the way.

Tracy: Well, cl-clearly, you're back at work.

Finn: In a research capacity. I can't even look at patients. And if I order a DNA test, let alone one that's questionable, forget it, I'm done.

Tracy: Who said it's questionable?

Finn: Oh, let's see, maybe by the fact that you're not telling me anything about it!

Tracy: I'm asking you to do this, no questions asked.

Finn: "No questions asked"? I'm sorry, Tracy, I-I can't.

Tracy: What happened to you?

Finn: Where would I begin?

Tracy: No, I'm serious. What happened to the renegade, the authority-be-damned guy? I liked that guy.

Finn: Me, too, but that guy liked drugs, and he almost got fired. So, if I want to keep my job around here -- which I kind of do -- these people are making me play by the rules.

Tracy: I'm asking for a favor, Finn. And after everything I did for you, you owe me.

Franco: I have been trying to honor Elizabeth and Jason's request that I stay away from Jake -- you know that, right?

Kiki: Right.

Franco: But I can't control the kid, you know? [Sighs] So, if he were to, say, show up at my studio...

Kiki: You call his parents and you send him home.

Franco: Yeah, and I did that. I did that right away. And at the time, I didn't know why Jake came to see me.

Kiki: But now you do?

Franco: I do. He is afraid. Jake is afraid -- really, truly, paralyzingly afraid.

Kiki: Of what?

Franco: Of his father.

Sonny: Not even 24 hours, Michael?

Michael: Dad, you have to look at this rationally. Be thankful that they didn't keep him there any longer.

Sonny: Thankful for what?

Jason: Hi.

Sonny: Jason.

Michael: Hey.

Jason: Who we talking about, here?

Sonny: Jax. Long story short, he's the one who paid for Nelle's kidney.

Michael: Y-yes, yes, but -- but he didn't know it was Nelle at the time.

Sonny: Jax confessed to Carly. I don't know if that was before or after they slept together. Then he -- then he confessed to me, so I got a -- a recording on my phone. And then I turned it over to Dante.

Jason: You did what?

Michael: Yes, and Jax was arrested in front of Mom and Josslyn. But I just got word that Jax is being released, and I'm trying to explain to my dad, here, that that is a good thing. Now Mom could possibly, maybe, maybe, forgive you -- in, what, like 50 years' time.

Sonny: Jax messed with our family, so he's got to pay for that.

Michael: Yes, I get that. I get that. This is not --

Sonny: You don't think he has to pay for that at all?

Michael: This is not the way to settle! This is not the way to settle it, though. You -- you and Mom aren't the only people that are -- that are affected by this. The people that are most affected by this are -- are Avery and Josslyn. You guys -- you're getting so wrapped up in your own world that you're not -- you're not looking at the big picture, here.

Sonny: I hate... what it's doing to Josslyn, but Avery's a baby. Don't bring that up. She can't tell.

Michael: Oh, what are you talking about? You -- you don't think that -- that Avery's not gonna notice that Mom's not here anymore? You don't think she's gonna miss her? I mean, come on, Dad.

Sonny: Where are you going?

Michael: I-I'm gonna go to the station and I am gonna pray with everything that I have that they didn't just let Jax go on -- on bail. That this whole thing is over, not gonna be charged with anything, th-that it's done. And you know what, Dad, if I were you, I'd -- I'd be praying for the exact same thing.

[Door closes]

Nelle: Well, it's clear Michael didn't get any of his compassion from you.

Carly: No, not a bit. Don't get me wrong, I am happy that you're doing right by Jax, but it doesn't absolve you for what you did to my family or when you did it. You used Morgan's death as your in to screw with me. I will never forgive you for that.

Nelle: Carly, I --

Carly: So, when you ask yourself, you know, "Why is Carly being so vindictive? Why is Carly so unfair?" Now you know. Now you know.

Jax: Hey.

Carly: Hey. Oh, gosh, I'm so happy you're being released. [Chuckles]

Jax: Yeah, that makes two of us.

Carly: It'll be three when Josslyn finds out.

Jax: Thank you for not pressing charges. And I truly am sorry for everything.

Nelle: Just be good to Josslyn, and we'll call it even.

Jax: Okay. Done.

Carly: We need to get you signed out.

Jax: All right. Uh, if you ever change your mind, you know, I meant what I said. If you ever want a fresh start somewhere else, my offer for financial help is always on the table, okay?

Nelle: Thank you, but Port Charles is home to me now, so I'm not going anywhere.

Carly: We should go.

Jax: Okay.

Monica: As you can see, I have a great deal of security on these premises. So, if someone were to get into my house, I would know about it.

Officer Torosyan: Even so, I'd still like to take a look around.

Monica: Do you have a warrant?

Officer Torosyan: Do I need one?

Monica: To come into my home? Oh, absolutely. And by the way, the person you're looking for is not here.

Officer Torosyan: I guess I'll be back, then. Oh, and you should be aware... that if I find that, in fact, you have been harboring a foreign national with an expired visa, you'll be facing federal charges.

Monica: Understood.

Officer Torosyan: Good day, Ms. Quartermaine.

Monica: It's Dr. Quartermaine, and goodbye.

Dillon: Well, that was intense.

Monica: Uh-huh.

Samira: I don't know how to thank you for not turning me in.

Dillon: Are you sure you made the right call?

Monica: Well, would you have preferred me to invite him for tea?

Dillon: No. I just -- look, believe me, you were thoroughly badass back there, but you just made a pretty big decision.

Monica: You think?

Dillon: Don't get me wrong, I'm in total agreement, but you just made the entire house complicit.

Monica: And your point?

Dillon: What do we do when officer stick-in-the-mud comes back?

Finn: I'm sorry, wait, I owe you?

Tracy: Did I not hide your illness from everyone? Did I not get you Zen-Zen to keep you alive and harbor your ailing girlfriend with monitors and medical equipment out of the goodness of my own heart and my pocketbook?

Finn: You're right, Tracy, you did do all those things.

Tracy: Thank you.

Finn: May I remind you, though...

Tracy: Oh, here it comes.

Finn: ...I once saved your life.

Tracy: I remember.

Finn: Yeah, and now you're telling me I haven't paid you back in full?

Tracy: I'm telling you... that I need your help -- again.

Finn: What's so important about this DNA test that you can't do it at some no-name lab?

Tracy: It involves my family.

Kiki: This is all over a scarecrow?

Franco: No, it's -- to Jake, it's much more than a scarecrow. It represents much more. And when Jake caught me showing the drawing of the scarecrow to Elizabeth after he asked me not to...

Kiki: He wasn't too psyched.

Franco: No, no. But he didn't completely freak out until after.

Kiki: What happened after?

Franco: Well, I went to the kid, and I tried to explain to him that his parents just had his best interests at heart, right? And he lost it. He said he did not want his mom and dad to know about the scarecrow.

Kiki: His mom and dad?

Franco: Yeah, exactly. She's Elizabeth. I mean, Elizabeth -- who could be afraid of Elizabeth? It has to be Jason that he's scared of.

Kiki: Franco...

Franco: What?

Kiki: Are you more interested in Jason being the bad guy or in helping Jake?

Franco: Helping Jake, hands down.

Kiki: Okay, good, because it sounds like he's really struggling. What did Elizabeth say?

Franco: I didn't tell her. I couldn't. I mean, "Hey, you son freaked out again."

Kiki: You have to tell Elizabeth.

Franco: I've already betrayed Jake so many times. If I do it one more time --

Kiki: You will be a decent human being. You have to keep Elizabeth in the loop.

Elizabeth: Keep me in the loop about what?

Sonny: Just say it.

Jason: Say what?

Sonny: Whatever you're thinking.

Jason: What I'm thinking?

Sonny: Yeah.

Jason: Well, I'm thinking that Michael's right.

Sonny: Mm.

Jason: You're lucky that Jax was released. I mean, come on, face it -- the harder it is on him, the harder it's gonna be on you -- Carly's gonna make sure of that. You kind of messed with the wrong person.

Sonny: I piss Carly off all the time, and then she yells at me, and then, you know, whatever. We-we're both used to it.

Jason: Yeah, well, you know, sending Jax to prison isn't exactly the norm.

Sonny: I knew that he wasn't gonna do time. I just wanted him to sweat a little bit. You know, maybe, uh, plead to a-a lesser offense.

Jason: Mm-hmm. Sure. Well, trust me, you're better off this way. You're lucky he's out.

[Bottle thumps]

Sonny: What's with the scotch?

Jason: This scotch? This scotch right here?

Sonny: Yeah.

Jason: This scotch is for you. It's your birthday. Happy birthday, man.

Sonny: [Laughs] Really?

Jason: Yeah.

Sonny: You shouldn't have, but I'm glad y-you did.

Jason: Well, I wish this was the only reason why I came over, but it's not.

Sonny: What's up?

Jason: You're gonna find this hard to believe, but, uh, Julian Jerome...

Sonny: What about him?

Jason: He's alive. And he's been arrested.

Samira: I am so very grateful. To take a risk for a virtual stranger... I would have understood if you gave me up to that man.

Monica: I wouldn't have done that.

Dillon: Who would've tipped him off? Did the sponsors at the charity know that you were coming to us?

Samira: They would never turn me in. You have to believe me, I only came to you because I was desperate. I have no ill intent.

Monica: [Inhales sharply] I understand that. I'm not sure about Tracy. [Sighs]

Samira: Tracy.

Dillon: What?

Samira: I mean no disrespect, but... maybe it was her.

Monica: What do you mean?

Samira: She clearly doesn't want to part with the painting.

Dillon: That doesn't mean that --

Samira: And she conveniently disappeared. Maybe she's the one who turned me in.

Finn: And the painting really looks like you?

Tracy: It does, and that's not the important part.

Finn: What's the important part?

Tracy: The important part is that my father was thinking of me. That while he was in hiding, he saw this painting and it reminded him of me and he wanted me to have it. Of course, in typical daddy fashion, he gave and took away in the same breath.

Finn: How do you mean?

Tracy: Okay, so... last night, this woman shows up on the doorstep, and I have this... hideous suspicion that she might be my father's... illegitimate daughter that while he was in hiding, he was engaged in some... [Clears throat] ...Extra-curriculars.

Finn: Ah, this is her theory?

Tracy: No, no, no, no. She knows nothing about it. She just wants the painting. She claims that her daughter was taken hostage by human traffickers.

Finn: Oh. I've treated survivors overseas. The -- the stories are horrendous.

Tracy: And the painting is worth a lot of money -- $20 million, to be exact -- and before I claimed it, it was going to be sold. And part of the proceeds were to go to Samira, so she could get her daughter back.

Finn: So, she wants you to give her the painting?

Tracy: And I don't want to do any such thing.

Franco: Hey, you.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Franco: Hi.

Elizabeth: So, you were about to loop me in.

Kiki: On the Nurses' Ball.

Elizabeth: Oh. What about it?

Kiki: Franco wants to perform again.

Elizabeth: Again?

Kiki: Yeah. Uh, isn't that right?

Franco: Yeah, I can't get enough of that singing and dancing and stuff.

Elizabeth: Oh, I thought you just did that last year to help Jake out.

Franco: Yeah. I guess I caught the bug.

Kiki: Well, I really got to run.

Elizabeth: Hey, how's class going?

Kiki: It's great. Yeah, you know, it's amazing what you can accomplish when you're actually interested in the content. [Laughs]

Elizabeth: Before you know it, you'll be our next nurses' aid.

Kiki: That's the plan.

Elizabeth: And like I said, if there's anything I can do to help you, just let me know.

Kiki: Thank you so much.

Franco: Want me to walk you out?

Kiki: Uh, no. No, actually, I-I know the way out. Thank you. See you at home?

Franco: Yeah. Definitely see you at home.

Kiki: All right. Bye, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: Bye. Mm, so, you weren't talking about the Nurses' Ball at all, were you?

Franco: No, we were not.

Sonny: I was hoping that they found Julian dead.

Jason: Thank you. Yeah, you and a lot of people, but at least we can be sure he's gonna stay behind bars.

Sonny: If -- if he gets convicted.

Jason: He committed how many crimes, including the murder, and his only defense is, what, "my -- my sister made me do it"? I think he's going down.

Sonny: We'll see.

Jason: Yeah, we'll see. Can you do me a favor? Can you forget about Jax, please, and start focusing on what's important? Making things right with Carly.

Sonny: She slept with Jax. Any chance I get to make his life miserable, I'm gonna take it.

Jason: Okay, that's a little petty. And how are you gonna do that, really?

Sonny: Well...

Jason: H-how are you gonna do it? Your worlds don't collide. What, are you gonna pop a tire on his jet? Are you gonna steal a company out from underneath him? Why don't you stay in your lane? You live in your world, let him do his thing.

Sonny: You know what? When you're right... you're right.

Michael: What are you doing here?

Nelle: Uh, they called me in to give a statement on Jax and my experience with Josslyn's --

Michael: You know you don't have to, right? You can tell them you have nothing to say.

Nelle: But I already --

Michael: I'll pay you. I'll pay you.

Nelle: What?

Michael: In thanks for not pressing the issue and letting my family move on in peace, I'll compensate you whatever you think is fair. Just name it.

Nelle: No, no. I'm -- I'm good, Michael. Excuse me.

Michael: Well, Josslyn must be so relieved. Have you, uh, called her yet?

Carly: No, we wanted to wait and tell her in person. You know, like, when Jax walks in the door and surprise her.

Jax: Yeah, it'll be a great photo op, you know, like, "Hey, look, my dad's not in jail."

[Laughter]

Michael: So, h-how did you pull it off, anyway? I mean, don't get me wrong, I'm glad. I just -- I was very surprised when I heard the charges were dropped. Mom and I got you an excellent attorney, I just -- I was not expecting those kind of results.

Jax: Well, it wasn't the attorney, it was Nelle.

Michael: I-I don't understand.

Jax: She refused to say anything that could have indicted me.

Michael: Wait, Nelle already gave her statement?

Jax: Well, a non-statement, as it turns out.

Michael: I thought -- I thought she was --

Carly: Don't -- d-don't feel bad for her, okay, don't. Yes, she did a decent thing -- she did one decent thing, and it's the least she owes us after everything she did to our family. And I got to tell you, I'm surprised after what she and Sonny did that this family is still standing. I mean, I can barely wrap my head around it. In the pettiest, lowest moment, your father threw Jax to the wolves -- and get this -- for something that he would have done himself.

Michael: Yeah, I-I get it, M-Mom, you're -- you're -- you're furious with Dad.

Carly: Yes, I'm furious.

Michael: And I-I don't -- I don't blame you, but you have to remember that there's a lot of people who share the two of you. Me, I'm okay, but Avery and Josslyn -- that's a different story.

Carly: Your father crossed a line, and I don't know it's one that I can come back from, Michael.

Michael: Even -- even if that's true -- even if that's true, even if every single time you see him you want to tear his head off, just...

Carly: Don't? Just don't, right?

Michael: Okay. For my sisters' sakes, okay... don't get so focused on -- on -- on getting back at Dad that you forget about them.

Jax: Yeah, Michael's right, okay? For -- for -- for Josslyn and for Avery, it would be best if you call a truce with Sonny.

Carly: Oh. Okay, after everything Sonny did to you, I will have to really think about that one, okay? And you... I love you.

Michael: [Sighs]

Carly: I love you so much.

Michael: I love you, too.

Carly: Okay. We really need to get out of here. Can we get out of here?

Jax: Nah, I'm gonna stick around for a little bit more. Good coffee.

Carly: Ha ha. Ha ha. I'll call you later.

Michael: Okay, tell Josslyn to call me if she needs anything.

Carly: I will. I will. See you.

Michael: All right, see you.

Jax: See you, Michael.

Michael: Good to see you.

Jax: [Clears throat]

Michael: [Sighs]

Sonny: No word from Michael.

Jason: Well, I'm sure he'll call when he knows what's going on. Can we focus on the good here, please?

Sonny: Julian?

Jason: Yeah, Julian. He's finally gonna get what he deserves.

Sonny: I'll believe that when I see it.

[Cell phone rings]

Jason: Oh. It's Sam.

Sonny: Go ahead and take it.

Jason: Yeah.

Sonny: And can you do me a favor?

Jason: Sure, what?

Sonny: Can you get some more ice?

[Ringing continues]

Jason: Yeah. Here.

Sonny: Thanks.

[Ringing continues]

Jason: Hey, what's up?

Sonny: Yeah, it's me. Uh...I need a favor.

Franco: Hey, you want something?

Elizabeth: I want you to tell me what you were talking about with Kiki.

Franco: Ooh, they got the honey-mustard pretzels.

Elizabeth: Franco?

Franco: Elizabeth. Come on. You know I want to tell you... but I can't betray Jake's trust again.

Elizabeth: So this was about Jake. Okay, look, I-I love how devoted you are to him, but you are not betraying him by keeping his mother informed. It's quite the opposite, actually. Jason and I just came from a-a follow-up session with Dr. Maddox.

Franco: Oh, yeah, how'd that go?

Elizabeth: It went really well. He said that we should continue to present a united front to keep Jake comfortable, and hopefully he'll open up about his past.

Franco: No, no, no, no.

Elizabeth: What do you mean, "No"?

Franco: I mean no. Jake is not gonna be comfortable as long as he's afraid of his own father.

Finn: You have this painting. It means a lot to you. It reminds you of your father, it's got great sentimental value, and you don't want to give it back.

Tracy: That's right.

Finn: That's totally understandable. But I think we both can agree that it's... it's kind of a, for lack of a better term, first-world problem. Whereas this woman, Samira, her daughter's been kidnapped for the purpose of selling her to other human beings. I think we can also agree that's a pretty serious third-world problem.

Tracy: I agree, it's terrible. [Sighs] But it's not mine to fix.

Finn: Well, except in this limited context, it -- it kind of is, because the only way Samira can get her daughter back is if the people that are helping her sell your painting.

Tracy: If she's telling the truth.

Finn: Ah, interesting -- you think she isn't.

Tracy: I don't know. She seems genuinely distraught, but can I just not have this one thing from my father? He left me out of the will. I'm sorry. I stand corrected -- he left me a jar of relish. Do you have any idea how much that hurt?

Finn: I can imagine.

Tracy: I thought he didn't love me. But I was wrong. Am I a bad person for wanting to keep this painting?

Finn: No, of course not. I never said that you were. I-I totally understand why you want the painting. But I think we both agree that Samira needs it, and, you know, if she really is you sister --

Tracy: Which we don't know -- enter Hamilton Finn.

Finn: [Chuckles] I assume that she's unaware that you're running this test.

Tracy: You assume correctly.

Finn: Okay. Just out of curiosity, if I do this for you, how do you want it to turn out?

Tracy: [Laughs] Are you kidding? I don't want to be related to Samira.

Dillon: Okay, look, my mom is not perfect -- far from it. But there's no reason that she would turn you in to immigration.

Monica: I'm inclined to agree. Unless Tracy knows that you -- you're lying about your plight here --

Samira: I'm not!

Monica: Okay, all right, then I don't think it was her.

Dillon: Well, then who? Think, Samira. I mean, there has to be somebody who would have some reason to --

Samira: I-I don't know!

Monica: Okay, okay, I think it's time that, uh, we consult lawyers and see about extending Samira's visa.

Samira: No! I need to take the painting home. I cannot lose my daughter to those monsters.

Tracy: Was that a terrible thing for me to say?

Finn: That you don't want this stranger to be your sister?

Tracy: No. It's not just that I don't want to take on her problems. It means that my father cheated. While we were all here in Port Charles, grieving him -- while my mother was grieving him... ...he was sleeping with a woman half his age in Turkey. So, no, I don't... I so don't want to be related to her. And I don't want to solve the human-trafficking problem in Turkey. And I don't want to give up my painting.

Finn: What do you want?

Tracy: [Chuckles] I want to go back to that moment when I first read his letter. I felt a sense of peace I've never felt before. Everything was all right in the world.

Finn: Yeah. And Samira?

Tracy: You know me. I'm not gonna let her leave empty-handed. I'm gonna come up with some money for her, so that she can rescue her daughter.

Finn: This painting means the world to you.

Tracy: It means everything to me. It's changed my perspective -- the way I look at the past, the way I see my future, everything.

Finn: What do you got in there for me?

Tracy: Everything you need to run the DNA test. I'm not gonna beg. I'm asking you.... help me.

Franco: You saw how upset Jake was when I showed you that drawing.

Elizabeth: Well, yes, because from his perspective, you went behind hid back. But we both agreed it was the right thing to do.

Franco: And -- and it was.

Elizabeth: What does this have to do with Jason?

Franco: So, I went to Jake after that because I wanted to apologize, and I wanted to let him know where we were all coming from. And he totally lost it. He said that he did not want his parents to know about the scarecrow, but you had already seen a version of that drawing, so... the person that Jake is afraid of is Jason.

Sonny: Just tell me when it's done. Uh-huh.

Jason: Hey, ice.

Sonny: How's Sam?

Jason: Uh, she's fine. Actually, she told me to tell you happy birthday.

Sonny: Oh, that's very nice.

Jason: Yeah.

Sonny: So, how's she doing, as far as Julian?

Jason: Well, she's conflicted, to put it mildly.

Sonny: I'll bet.

Jason: Well, she's mostly worried about her mom.

Sonny: Please tell me that Alexis is not gonna go back to Julian after everything he did to her?

Jason: I don't know. I really don't. If he weren't in prison, it's certainly a possibility, but since he is going to be charged as an accessory to every one of his sister's crimes, I think he's going to jail for a very long, long time.

Sonny: Well-deserved.

Jason: Mm-hmm.

Sonny: To the legal system.

Jason: I'm sorry, is Sonny Corinthos making a toast to the legal system?

Sonny: [Chuckles] You never know. Uh, justice will finally be served.

Jason: Well, hear hear, I'll drink to that. Happy birthday.

Sonny: Thanks.

Carly: What a nightmare. I still can't believe Sonny did it. I can't. I mean, I get that there's no love lost between the two of you, but it's just a cheap shot, you know? On the heels of your mother's death, he has you arrested? And I get that he doesn't care about you, right? He doesn't care about how that might affect you, but what about how it affects our daughter, Josslyn, huh? I'm gonna call him. I'm calling him --

Jax: Oh, no, no, no, no.

Carly: And I'm gonna -- yes, Jax, come on!

Jax: First of all, I'm not defending the son of a bitch...

Carly: Oh, you better not.

Jax: ...But the fact is, I did what I did. It was wrong, it was illegal, and I was ready to face the consequences, okay? The only reason that I'm here and not in jail --

Carly: Don't say it. Don't say it.

Jax: ...Is because of Nelle.

Carly: Oh, my gosh. I'm never gonna forgive her. I'm j-- I'm not.

Jax: I know! I'm not asking you to, okay? But s-sit down. Come on. Sit. Let's look at the bright side here, okay? As far as fallout goes, this was fairly minor.

Carly: Minor? You were arrested, Jax.

Jax: And released with no charges filed. And more importantly, our daughter is healthy and alive.

Carly: [Sighs] You're right. We're lucky.

Jax: Say it again.

Carly: We are lucky.

Jax: No, the "I'm right" part.

Carly: Oh, come on.

[Both laugh]

Jax: There it is.

Carly: I can't believe you're talking me down after everything you just went through. I'm sorry. I'm really sorry.

Jax: Why are you sorry? You're not to blame for any of this.

Carly: Yes, I am.

Jax: No, you're not.

Carly: I'm to blame for all of it. I mean, this whole mess with Sonny was because of me. Sonny was trying to lash out at me. You know, if there's anything -- and I mean anything -- I can do for you, please don't hesitate to ask.

Jax: I'd love a glass of wine.

Carly: Okay, I can do that, easy, but I was thinking about something a little more meaningful.

Jax: Oh, okay, well, if you're gonna keep pushing, then, yes, I guess... there is something that you can do.

Michael: Nelle? Um, sorry, I didn't mean to, like, sneak up on you or anything. I just -- I wanted to catch you before you left for work.

Nelle: Oh, yeah, if I ever get there. The launch should have been here 10 minutes ago.

Michael: Oh, yeah?

Nelle: Yeah.

Michael: Well, I... I'd say I'd give you a ride, but, uh...

Nelle: What, n-no boat?

Michael: No boat.

Nelle: Darn.

Michael: Yeah. S-- [Clears throat] Why -- why didn't you, um... why didn't you set me straight at the station?

Nelle: I guess I didn't see the point. I mean, you'd already made up your mind about me.

Michael: Well, thank you for not sinking Jax.

Nelle: I think I've caused enough trouble, you know?

Michael: Yeah, but he's -- he caused you pain. Inadvertently, yes... but you still suffered, and, um... you could have made him pay and you didn't. What I'm trying to say is, uh... I'm sorry that I misjudged you.

Samira: Do you have children?

Monica: I do.

Samira: Daughters?

Monica: Uh, two, but, uh, they're not -- they're not with me anymore.

Samira: I'm very sorry for your loss.

Monica: Well, thank you.

Samira: May I ask another question?

Monica: Yeah.

Samira: If there was something you could have done to save them...

Monica: Oh, Samira, I would have done anything in my power. I would have moved heaven and earth.

Dillon: Monica, we really need to think about this.

Monica: I am going to find a way to get Samira out of this country, and with that painting.

Finn: Okay.

Tracy: "Okay," what, you'll do it?

Finn: Yeah, I'll do you DNA test, all right? It's obviously important to you.

Tracy: Oh, my God, this could change the whole course of my life.

Finn: Now you're laying it on a little thick.

Tracy: No, I'm not, but thank you.

Finn: But let's be clear about one thing.

Tracy: Oh, here comes the "but."

Finn: Yes. Let's be clear about one thing -- if I lose my medical license -- or worse yet, I lose Hayden --

Tracy: Why would you lose Hayden?

Finn: First thing, I need to get her back. It's -- it's a long story. But say I do get her back, and then I lose her again, because she thinks I'm a colossal idiot for violating the rules of my suspension...

Tracy: That's not gonna happen. You're not gonna get caught.

Finn: You'd better hope not, 'cause if I do, I'm gonna be very, very, very angry with you for a long, long, long time!

Tracy: [Sighs]

Franco: I realize that you might think I'm not objective in this, but you got to believe me. This is very real. For some reason, Jake does not want Jason to see the scarecrow.

Elizabeth: I don't know what to do with this.

Franco: Well, maybe you could just talk to Jason. You know, talk to him, ask him if there's some reason that Jake would be afraid of him.

Elizabeth: There isn't. I know Jason's not perfect, but he's a good father. He's kind and he's patient and -- and he's devoted. So, whatever Jake thinks he's feeling, it just -- it isn't true.

Franco: It's true for Jake. And whatever it is, it's keeping Jake from telling you what really happened on that island.

Sonny: Michael is convinced that my giving up Jax is finally gonna do Carly and me in.

Jason: [Inhales sharply] He might be right.

Sonny: Yeah? What about the fact that I went over to Carly's house... ...and I poured my guts out to her, and Jax is coming down the stairs, buttoning his shirt up? If I could just press the rewind button before Morgan died, before Nelle ever existed, when -- when things were just less complicated...

Jason: Things have always been complicated, Sonny.

Sonny: But not like this. Then you put Jax into the mix. He needs to stay out of it! Matter of fact, he just needs to get out of the country.

Nelle: Did you just apologize to me?

Michael: [Chuckles] Yes. I was -- I-I was wrong to assume the worst of you.

Nelle: He says like I haven't given him a reason to.

Michael: Well, you hadn't -- not today.

Nelle: Have you always been this fair?

Michael: I try to be.

Nelle: I wish I could think that clearly. There's always something clouding my judgment.

Michael: Oh, uh... bird poop.

Nelle: What?

Michael: Yeah, a seagull just landed a direct hit.

Nelle: Where?!

Michael: Right there, on your -- on your shoulder.

Nelle: Oh, gross!

Michael: Yeah, actually, I got it. Here, I got you.

Nelle: [Whimpers]

Michael: My best.

Nelle: I never liked this jacket anyway.

Michael: Well, hey, look on the bright side -- they say it's actually good luck.

Nelle: Oh, who is "they," exactly?

Michael: All those bird-knowing people.

Nelle: Oh. Well, I'll take all the good luck I can get.

Michael: Uh, it'll need a little bit of, uh, TLC when you get home.

Nelle: But I'm -- I'm presentable?

Michael: Yeah, they'll let you on the launch.

Nelle: Thank you.

Michael: Oh, speaking of which, uh, there's your ride.

Nelle: Yeah.

Michael: Well... have a good day, Nelle.

Nelle: You, too, Michael.

Jax: Mmm.

Carly: You are out of your mind.

Jax: Why?

Carly: Camping?! That's what you want me to do for you?

Jax: No, not just camping -- snow camping. Camping in the snow.

Carly: [Laughing] Oh, my gosh. That's even worse. You're crazy.

Jax: No, it'll be wonderful. We'll make a fire. It'll be beautiful and warm and cozy.

Carly: Cozy is when the snow is outside and we're inside and we're watching TV and we have wine and frozen pizza.

Jax: We can bring wine.

Carly: Can we bring a microwave?

Jax: A microwave? No. No. What we're gonna do is we are going to forage for twigs and berries for our meals.

[Laughing]

Carly: Oh, my gosh, no. That is not happening. I am not going. Nope.

Jax: You know, the funny thing is, if we did go camping, and we got caught in a blizzard, do you know who would survive and probably battle a grizzly on her way out?

Carly: Me.

Jax: You.

Carly: Mm.

[Doorbell rings]

Jax: Exactly.

Carly: [Chuckles] Yep. Still not going.

Jax: Ah, you'll come around.

Carly: Never ever! [Chuckles] Hi.

Officer Torosyan: Hi, is Jasper Jacks here?

Carly: He is. He is. Come in, please.

Officer Torosyan: Thank you.

Carly: Jax?

Jax: Uh-huh?

Carly: You have a visitor.

Jax: Oh. Okay. Can I help you?

Officer Torosyan, with ICE. I need you to come with me immediately.

On the next "General Hospital" --

Elizabeth (to Jason): I need to see you.

Ava (to Julian): So why don't you give me one good reason... why I shouldn't return the favor?

Sam (to Alexis): What really happened between you and Julian last night?

Officer Torosyan (to Jax): You're no longer welcome in this country.

Jason: Sonny, what makes you think Jax is leaving?
