(Missing a portion in the middle -- will get it soon.)[Knock on door]
Sonny: Working late?
Michael: Yeah. Um, I'll be with you one second. Just let me finish this thought.
Michael: Uh, okay. So, what brings you by?
Sonny: Well, I just wanted to talk to you about something. I didn't want to do it over the phone.
Michael: What happened?
Sonny: Your mom and I -- we split up.
Laura: Dr. Collins. Paging Dr. Collins. Report to Laura Spencer. Dr. Collins.
Kevin: Madam board member, at your service.
Kevin: What a pleasant surprise. Oh, and I'm so sorry I was a no-show at the Metro Court.
Laura: Yeah. Well, I think you might be even sorrier when you hear, uh, what I did left to my own devices.
Kevin: Should I sit down?
Laura: Uh, depends on how you react to news of separation.
Laura: I have to take a little trip.
Elizabeth: What did you just say?
Franco: I asked you to marry me. You didn't hear me?
Elizabeth: No, of course I heard you. I just...can't believe you said that.
Franco: Well, I just said out loud what I've been thinking for a long time. I'm just -- I decided why wait, right?
Elizabeth: But why -- why are you asking me now?
Franco: Well, why not?
Valentin: Jason. My wife said you wanted to talk to me. You want a drink?
Jason: No, thank you. But, uh, I do want to ask a favor.
Valentin: Yeah. She said that, too. Something about your son Danny?
Jason: No, Jake, my oldest. He, uh, spent a better part of four years with Helena Cassadine.
Valentin: I heard. I'm sorry.
Jason: Yeah. I'm trying to find out what she did to him. I'm hoping that you can help.
Lulu: Hey, babe. I'm picking up a BLT for Rocco. Do you want anything? [Chuckles] Yes, I'm joking. Okay. All right, I'll see you at home. Bye. [Sighs] Oh!
Nelle: Oh! I am so sorry.
Lulu: Hi. Um -- y-- are you Nelle? Hi. I am Lulu Falconeri. I'm Dante's wife.
Nelle: Right, you're Sonny's daughter-in-law. So, I guess you want to tell me off now?
Lulu: What? No. No -- oh, yeah. Whatever happened there, it's none of my business. It's not my place to judge. But I do actually want to talk about something with you. My daughter -- Charlotte.
[Cell phone rings]
Alexis: [Mumbles] Hello? Hello? Anyone there?
[Cell phone rings]
Alexis: Julian? Julian?
Sam: No, Mom, it's -- it's me.
Alexis: Oh, honey, hi. H-how are you? Everything okay with the baby?
Sam: Yeah, everything's fine here. How are you?
Alexis: Uh, great. Um, I got that picture that you sent me of -- of Scout in her new outfit. She's adorable.
Sam: Hey, Mom, when you picked up the phone, you called me Julian.
Alexis: Uh... well, you know how that is. Uh, old habits kick in when you least expect them.
Sam: You know what? Why don't I come over. I can have the kids packed up in like less than a half an hour.
Alexis: No, no, no, no. Don't do that. Don't -- don't drag the kids out right now.
Sam: Yeah, um, but I want to see you, so I'm just -- I'm gonna come over. I'll -- I'll be there soon.
Alexis: No, no. It... uh, give them a bath, and I'll be there shortly.
Sam: Are you sure you're up for driving?
Alexis: Honey, I'm fine. Really, I am.
Sam: Okay. Okay, um, great. I'll see you soon.
Michael: When you say that you and Mom are breaking up, I mean, you already... live in separate houses. What are you? Getting a divorce again?
Sonny: Well, it hasn't gone that far. Sh-- she just called it quits a few hours ago. She's mad as hell. As far as I know, she's got a lawyer and the whole thing.
Sonny: Well, you don't seem that -- that sorry.
Michael: [Sighs] I'm not exactly in shock, dad. I mean, you and Mom went through the worst thing a parent can possibly go through. Now there's no -- no distractions. There's no Olivia Jerome, not even the fallout from Nelle and her lies.
Michael: And losing Morgan -- that could've done two things. It could've brought you two closer together, or it could've -- it could've tore you apart. And you decided to let it tear you apart.
Sonny: You're acting like I wanted this.
Michael: I know you didn't! But it's happening.
Lulu: I'm sure Valentin told you that I'm Charlotte's biological mother, and I understand that you are the new nanny.
Nelle: Yes, I was just hired recently.
Lulu: Uh, do you have a minute? I'd love to get to know each other. I'm sure we'll see each other all the time when you're brining her over to visit.
Nelle: I guess. I mean, but Mr. Cassadine and Nina will have to work that out.
Lulu: Oh, of course, of course. I just thought in the meantime, there's no harm in us getting to know each other, right?
Nelle: Yeah, I can talk for a minute, I guess. [Chuckles] Um, I was just on my way home, picking up some scones for Charlotte for breakfast. They're her favorite. Cranberry in particular. I think they remind her of her mom.
Kevin: A trip? Where -- where to?
Laura: To Turkey. With Tracy.
Kevin: I don't know what surprises me more -- that you're taking a trip to Turkey or you're taking a trip to Turkey with Tracy.
Kevin: Is Luke in prison again?
Laura: Oh, wow. That'd be something if both of his ex-wives showed up to break him out of jail.
Laura: I think he might opt to stay in. [Chuckles] No. No, that's not it. In fact, Luke is not a part of this equation at all. I just feel like I need to help Tracy.
Elizabeth: Franco, I don't understand. I tell you that this is not the right time for us to move in together, and you counter with asking me to marry you?
Franco: Yeah. Okay, look, you don't play poker, but I raised you, okay? And I know it seems unexpected, but if you think about it, it makes perfect sense that you and I get married.
Elizabeth: With everything that's going on right now? How?
Franco: Hey, look, any two people can shack up together, right? There's like zero commitment there. Nobody takes it seriously. But if we make it official, then I'll be your husband. I can be the stepfather to your children.
Elizabeth: Is that what this is about? If we get married, then you'll have some legitimacy in Jake's life? Is this about you and me... or you and Jason?
Valentin: Well, there's not much I can tell you about Helena Cassadine other than she was a thoroughly horrible person. I was sent to a, uh, boarding school at a young age as a precaution. If she knew that Mikkos left everything to me, she'd have had me killed.
Jason: Okay. Let's forget about Helena for just a minute. What can you tell me about the island? You know the layout well enough.
Valentin: So do you.
Jason: Well, I-I can find my way to the villa. I don't know anything about the countryside, the farms, the vineyards.
Valentin: Why would you need to?
Jason: This is gonna sound strange, but I need to know if there are any scarecrows on the island.
Sam: Hey! I was getting worried about you. You took a lot longer than I expected. Hey what -- what's that?
Alexis: Oh, well -- I stopped. I got some diapers and things I thought you'd need, and then -- I'll put it over here. And then I got Danny's favorite cookies. [Sighs]
Sam: That's really sweet, but it wasn't necessary.
Alexis: Well, I'm Grandma, so... just let me do my thing.
Alexis: Is it too late? Are they sleeping?
Sam: Uh, you know, you can take a peek in in a little -- in a little bit. [Scoffs] I'm -- I'm so sorry. I-I don't even know how to say this, but when I was talking to you earlier, I got the feeling that you were drinking.
Alexis: I was. I, uh, really didn't want to worry you, but I-I did. I had a little bit of a relapse. [Inhales sharply]
Alexis: When you called, I told you that I was in a meeting, but I-I wasn't. I-I was drinking.
Sam: Okay. Okay. I-I -- I don't -- I don't know what to do right now. I'm -- am I -- am I supposed to take you to a meeting or something?
Alexis: No, no, no, no. I went. I did.
Alexis: I went. In fact, I -- I -- I was just coming back from one when you called.
Sam: All right.
Alexis: I don't want to do this to my family -- I don't, you know that -- or myself.
Sam: It was a slip up. That's all -- not a big deal. Get back on track -- you're grieving over Julian's death. It's understandable.
Alexis: It's been hard. Um... but ironically... [Laughs] ...It was Julian who, again, convinced me to stop drinking.
Michael: Look, for what it's worth, I'm not taking sides.
Sonny: Even though I'm the one who cheated on your mother?
Michael: Nelle set you up. Okay? Mom knows that, and she's not leaving you because of what happened with Nelle or even the lies that you told after.
Sonny: How do you know that? Did you -- did you talk to your mom?
Michael: N-not about the break-up, okay? She -- [Exhales sharply] She didn't have to. I grew up with both of you. I know what you two do to each other, and I know why. Look, you two are stronger than anyone, and sometimes you -- you turn that strength against each other. The -- the pain you're feeling over losing Morgan is so huge that it's causing you to lash out, and that's -- that's sad, you know? I-I'm sorry for both of you, but I-I'm even sorrier for Avery and Josslyn, because they just lost Morgan, and now each of them is gonna lose one of you.
Sonny: Do you have any idea how -- how... how terrible this is for me, how much I... hate hurting the people that I love... including you?
Nelle: You know, I meant... cranberry scones remind Charlotte of her surrogate mother, Claudette. It was incredibly insensitive of me. I apologize.
Lulu: It's okay. [Laughs] [Sighs] It's not your fault. I don't even know why that just hit me so hard. I guess it's because I didn't even know that Charlotte likes cranberry scones. There are so many things that I don't know about my own daughter. Seemingly insignificant things -- like, does she like syrup or jelly on her pancakes? Does she prefer dolls or stuffed animals? Is she the kind of kid who follows directions while she's playing a game, or does she just throw the directions out and flip the game board over and turn it into a playhouse? I would know all of those things if I had been there with Charlotte from the beginning. But Valentin kept her from me all of her life.
Kevin: All right, let me get this straight -- you're traipsing halfway around the world with Tracy Quartermaine... because she asked you?
Laura: Uh, y-yeah. I'm -- that's pretty much the size of it, yeah.
Kevin: Good to know. Do you have any time before you leave? Because I would love to know how this one came about.
Laura: You know, I know we seem like sort of an unlikely pair...
Laura: ...But -- yeah, I know. But we actually -- we do have sort of a relationship. She -- she's the one who talked me into throwing myself at you. Remember? Th-the fur coat? That's her fur coat that I was wearing when I-I flashed you that night.
Kevin: And earned my eternal gratitude in the process.
Laura: There you go.
Kevin: But do you have to go all the way to Turkey? Couldn't we just have her over for dinner sometime?
Laura: It's just that she's got this situation that may or may not lead her back to her father, and I feel like if she tries to do it by herself, she might miss out on her last opportunity to reconnect with her father's memory, and I -- I... I feel like I should help her, okay? I know. Call me a sucker for a really good cup of Turkish coffee and -- and adventure.
Kevin: Well, far be it from me to keep a lady from her adventure.
Laura: But I will miss you. And I promise you, I will be very, very careful.
Laura: And you know what the best part of the adventure is?
Laura: The homecoming.
Kevin: Hmm! Oh, yeah. [Chuckles] Now I can't think about anything else. [Chuckles]
Laura: Good. Hold that thought.
Kevin: [Scoffs] Okay.
Kevin: I'm counting on both.
Franco: I didn't ask you to marry me because of Jason or because of Jake. I like Jake. I love Jake. Jake's a great kid. All three of your boys are great kids. And I would love to be a more permanent fixture in their lives. Elizabeth, I'm asking you to marry me because I love you. Because I want to commit to you, to us, to the whole thing.
Elizabeth: You know I love you, right?
Franco: Well, then tell the world. Commit to me. Show the world that you trust me, and that you -- that you -- that you choose me over all other people.
Elizabeth: And I have -- I-I've told everyone that I trust you and I choose you. And I do choose you over everyone else, including Jason. But Jason is Jake's father, and I really have to make an effort to get along with him.
Franco: Yeah, okay -- Jason won't even acknowledge that Jake is having a problem, okay? Jason just wants to roll in now and call all the shots, and if he's not careful, he's gonna mess up Jake's life worse than ever.
Valentin: That's a weird question -- "Is there a scarecrow on the island?"
Jason: Well, odd or not, I'd really like an answer.
Valentin: Well, I want to help you out. I just -- I don't know what you mean.
Jason: Right, well, thanks for your help. Have a good night.
Valentin: Wait a minute. I never intended to be a father. Helena Cassadine stole that decision from me. And now Charlotte's the light of my life. I want you to know that everything I've done is to keep her from Helena. You come here asking for help for your son -- I understand that. So this island is mine now. But if you want to search it for scarecrows, you go right ahead. We'll make arrangements.
Jason: [Inhales sharply] Well, thank you. I just might take you up on that.
Valentin: You might want to start with the olive grove.
Elizabeth: So, this is about Jake after all. No matter what happened with Helena or the meanings of those drawings, you think that Jason isn't handling this well, and you would like a say in how we help Jake. That's why you want to marry me.
Franco: No. Well, yes. Yes and no. That's the truth. Look, Elizabeth... the feelings that I have for you are very real. I love you. And I love Jake, too, and I do want to be his stepfather. I do want a say in how decisions are made, and I want to -- I want to make sure this kid gets everything that he needs. Jake's in a little bit of trouble right now, right?
Elizabeth: And I know my son's in trouble. I know that. But no matter what, Jason is Jake's father, and I have to take into account his wishes.
Franco: You want me to keep my distance from Jake?
Elizabeth: [Sighs] For now.
Sam: You know what, Mom?
Sam: Sometimes grief or traumatic situations can produce seemingly real dreams.
Alexis: I know, and it sounds rational. But then there was the phone call and the knocking --
Sam: Wait, what knocking?
Alexis: I was taking a nap. I was conked out on the couch because I was drinking.
Alexis: But I woke up because there was knocking at the door, so I-I thought it was Julian, but it wasn't.
Sam: Okay. Let's see -- so, you were, um, sleeping and -- and drinking. Who was it?
Alexis: No one.
Alexis: The first time, no one was there. The second time, it was Valentin.
Valentin: There's an olive grove on the island. It's old. It was planted long before the Cassadines arrived, and it has a -- a scarecrow. It's not an average "Wizard of Oz" scarecrow, though. It's dark and threatening, and there's a legend it came alive one night and scared some local kids. So if your son was on the island and ran into this scarecrow -- pretty sure it would make an impression.
Jason: Well, thank you. Uh... appreciate the help.
Valentin: Well, anything else I can help you with, you just let me know.
Jason: Yep. [Inhales deeply] You know, I'm really, uh -- really not used to you being this forthcoming. Make me wonder if you have an agenda.
Valentin: Just trying to be helpful, father to father. No child should be subject to Helena Cassadine, and I'm sorry that yours was.
Jason: Yeah, so am I, but I'll get him through it, no matter what it takes.
Nelle: Mr. Cassadine told me a little bit about Charlotte's childhood, but it was very broad stokes. [Sighs] I had no idea about the details.
Lulu: Guess that makes sense, right? It's not exactly the usual rundown for a new employee. "Oh, my daughter likes cranberry scones and apple juice. She naps at 1:00, and, oh, yes, her mother's egg was stolen." [Chuckles] Why would Valentin let an employee know what kind of man he really is, right?
Nelle: [Inhales sharply]
Lulu: I'm sorry. Never mind. Never mind. I am glad that you took the job, and I'm happy to get to know the very capable young woman taking care of my daughter.
Lulu: And if I'm completely honest, part of the reason that I'm just seeing Charlotte now is... when I found that I had a daughter, I completely blew it. I was just so excited when I heard I had a little girl in the world. She was right there. She was right in front of me. I just wanted to hug her, never let her go. Instead, I scared her away. I acted in the moment... and I didn't think it through. I got carried away. I made a huge mistake.
Nelle: And you'd do anything to take it all back?
Michael: Thank you, Mr. Shu. A, uh -- a courier is en route with the contracts, and I'll send you an e-mail copy shortly. All right. Have a great day.
Sonny: Just working hard there, huh? You're jumping into it.
Michael: Yeah, yeah, and, uh, sorry for the distractions. It's the start of business day in China, so...
Sonny: Look, I-I don't want to hold you up, but I don't want to leave it like this. Maybe Nelle didn't -- or wasn't the main reason your mom and I broke up, but she did help it along. And when the truth came out, I know... that it hurt you.
Michael: Hey, you don't -- [Chuckles] You don't have to worry about me, okay? Uh... yes, I was sympathetic... to Nelle... to a point. But she -- you know what? She, um, tore apart our family with a wrecking ball, and she left us in ruins, so, uh... I can't get past that.
Sonny: Are you sure? She's staying in Port Charles.
Michael: I know.
Sonny: And? Does it change anything for you?
Lulu: Okay, you really did not have to wait while I put my order in. I have kept you long enough. I'm sorry if I've -- I've said too much. I'm sorry. This is just me. My emotions get away f-- I'm gonna stop talking.
Lulu: I'm gonna thank you. I really appreciate you listening.
Nelle: It's okay.
Lulu: Well, it was great talking to you, and I hope you have a good night, Nelle.
Nelle: Uh... could I ask you something? And you can say "no," obviously, if -- if it's not okay.
Lulu: No, it's okay. What?
Nelle: Um... I was just wondering about Michael. You know, how -- how -- how is he doing?
Lulu: Um... I haven't really seen Michael much lately, but Dante says that he's keeping to himself mostly, really throwing himself into work. He had a hard year last year. It was a really difficult time. I just hate that he's going through things alone.
Nelle: Yeah. Me, too. Bye.
Lulu: Good night.
Michael: Nelle can stay in Port Charles if she wants, you know? She -- she... [Sighs] She got a job as a nanny to Charlotte Cassadine.
Sonny: Yeah, well, she could have gotten a job anywhere else, right? But she stays in Port Charles 'cause she's working an angle, 'cause that's who she is.
Michael: Yeah, well, Dad, w-what can she do? You and Mom already know the worst. There's no way she can manipulate you again.
Sonny: I just don't want you running into her, 'cause you're gonna feel uncomfortable.
Michael: Like the way you would if you run into Mom? Dad, don't project your feelings onto me. Trust me, I can handle the occasional running into Nelle. I've -- I've dealt with far worse.
Sonny: I'm just trying to protect you, son.
Michael: Hey, Dad, I'm way past the age where you have to protect me, okay? I'm an adult, just like you -- have to make my own choices. And if I make a mistake, then I have to live with the fallout, just -- just like you're doing right now.
Elizabeth: I want you in Jake's life. I want you to still help him, but right now, your presence is causing an issue with his father. And the last thing that kid needs is any more disruptions, and I know you don't want that, either.
Franco: No, I don't, I don't. I don't want anything bad to happen to that kid. I just -- I want to be his stepdad, that's all. You know, I want to get crappy cards on Father's Day, be terrified teaching him how to drive.
Elizabeth: [Chuckles] And I'm not ruling any of that out. I just need for you right now to give Jake some space. At least until we figure out what all those drawings mean. Maybe this will be a breakthrough. Maybe we'll finally figure out what happened on Cassadine Island, and when it's all said and done, we'll have you to thank for getting the ball rolling.
Franco: Okay. You got it. We'll do things your way. I just need you to know that no matter what, I don't want to lose you.
Elizabeth: You won't.
Jason: [Clears throat] Hey. Uh, when you get a chance, we need to talk about Jake.
Sam: Well, I don't know what's worse -- a visit from Valentin or Julian's ghost.
Alexis: A visit from Valentin.
Sam: What exactly did he want?
Alexis: [Scoffs] Some song and dance about bonding with siblings.
Alexis: He offered me the keys to the estate.
Sam: [Laughing] Oh! Okay, I'm assuming you passed on it.
Alexis: Oh, yeah, I'm moving in with him right after I leave here.
Sam: I'm just wondering why he chose now to reach out.
Alexis: He wanted to give his condolences about Julian. He was full of it. I kicked him out of the house. And that's when I started seeing Julian.
Sam: Okay. Well, maybe he triggered those thoughts.
Alexis: I don't need anyone to trigger thoughts about Julian. It's what happened after I got back from the AA meeting -- you know, that hang-up phone call.
Sam: Yeah. I mean, it's probably just a wrong number.
Alexis: Sam, I'm telling you -- I got the weirdest feeling about this.
Sam: Okay. Why don't you just, um, give me your phone.
Sam: Do you have it?
Alexis: Yeah, it's here. Hold on.
Alexis: What are you doing?
Sam: I have an app that can trace the phone number. [Inhales sharply]
Alexis: What'd you come up with?
Sam: Okay. Just give me a second. Okay. All right. Well, the map indicates a pay phone off Route 31 near Roebling Park.
Alexis: S-- what? Sam, that's -- that's at the footbridge! That's right where Julian died. So, what is that? That's the gas station?
Alexis: So there's -- there's a pay phone by the gas station near the bridge. Sam, I -- I think Ava may be right. I think Julian is alive.
Sam: M-Mom, calm down. Don't jump to any conclusions. Just because the call originated by the bridge doesn't mean that Julian is alive. You understand that, right? Please tell me that you get that.
Alexis: I get it.
Alexis: I get it, and I know that I shouldn't feel this way, but I'm somehow wishing that he's still alive. Well --
Sam: Oh! It looks like one of your wishes has just come true. Scout's awake. You can finally see her.
Alexis: Actually, Sam, I'm gonna go.
Sam: Mom, I don't want you to leave.
Alexis: [Sighs] I'm okay, baby.
Sam: No, please -- you are not okay. Hey, Mom, do me a favor. Please call Kristina or Molly and have one of them stay with you.
Alexis: No. Please! No! Go feed your baby.
Sam: Then stay here with us. Move in with Jason and me.
Alexis: [Scoffs] I'm sure Jason would love that. I'm not that delusional. I'm -- I'm just tired, all right? I just want to go home and pull the covers over my head.
Alexis: It's been a long day.
Sam: Okay. I love you. Call me.
Alexis: I-I love you more, and I will.
Sam: Day or night.
Alexis: You better go feed that baby.
Sam: I will.
Alexis: Okay. Go feed that baby. I love you.
Sam: You, too.
Franco: I'll see you later, okay? Tell Jake I said hi.
Elizabeth: Just a second. Just -- Franco, even though I know right now is not the best timing, it -- it doesn't mean that I don't want to spend the rest of my life with you, and I realize I didn't say yes, but I didn't say no, either.
Franco: What'd you say?
Elizabeth: Did that not come out right?
Franco: No, I'm just teasing you. I understand, and thank you. I'll remember that.
Elizabeth: [Sighs] Okay, well, Franco has agreed to take a step back for now.
Jason: That's good. I think I might have found a lead about, uh, that scarecrow that Jake drew and how it ties into Cassadine Island.
Elizabeth: Oh, good. Well, I have a lead of my own, and I think I know who can help us with Jake.
Laura: [Laughs] Thank goodness. Great minds think alike.
Laura: [Laughs] I was gonna surprise you two with take-out dinner.
Lulu: Oh, my goodness.
Laura: Hi, honey. Ooh!
Lulu: You are always spoiling us, and now it is our turn to spoil you. Tomorrow night, I am cooking a huge home-cooked meal.
Laura: Oh, and I would love that, but I'm not going to be here. I will be gallivanting around the globe with Tracy Quartermaine.
Sonny: I have learned from painful experience -- you don't just turn off your emotions when you care about somebody. You don't just drink, get into your job, get into a bad relationship -- all those distractions, they -- they don't work.
Michael: Okay, how many times do I have to tell you, Dad? You don't have to worry about me.
Sonny: See, that's the other thing. You're more than capable of doing your business wheeling, dealing all over the world. But you're my son. And even though you don't think you need my protection... it doesn't stop me from wanting to.
Nelle: Oh. Um... I didn't mean to disturb you. I bought Charlotte a treat for tomorrow -- her favorite scones.
Valentin: That's very kind of you. She'll like that. I'll reimburse you. Anything else?
Nelle: No. Uh, I just -- I ran into Lulu at Kelly's.
Valentin: Did you? What were the circumstances?
Nelle: I'm not sure what you mean.
Valentin: Under which you ran into each other. Did you talk to each other? Who approached who?
Nelle: Oh, no one approached anyone. I was just leaving the counter with the scones, and I almost ran into her.
Valentin: Did she introduce herself?
Nelle: That's right. She was just being polite.
Valentin: I want you to tell me everything that she said to you.
Sonny: Anyway, who am I to be lecturing a-anybody on mistakes? I-I've made a few. I'll see you later, Michael.
Michael: Dad, wait. Look, I'm... [Sighs] I'm glad you stopped by. And if I didn't make this clear... I love you, and I don't blame you for what happened. The only person I blame is Olivia Jerome. She put this whole thing in motion when she took Morgan away from us, and now -- now we're all s-stumbling around trying to put our lives back together. And Nelle did what she did, because she's screwed up. She is screwed up, and that doesn't absolve her. That's just -- it puts it in context.
Sonny: Well, you're -- you're a lot wiser than I was at your age. Hell, you may even be wiser than I am now. Love you, buddy.
Michael: I love you, too, Dad.
Sonny: Um... don't work too hard.
Lulu: Turkey with Tracy? You know you're crazy, right?
Laura: [Chuckles] Do you think I shouldn't go?
Lulu: Actually... I guess it makes sense. The two of you will keep each other out of trouble.
Laura: [Chuckles] But is it okay with you if I go? Because I had reservations about it. You know, I-I felt bad leaving you when this custody stuff is just so raw, and --
Lulu: No, no, no. It's totally okay. I just ran into Nelle right before you got here. I think you were on to something. Nelle asked me about Michael. I think you were right about her having a thing for him.
Laura: Oh. Well, did you learn anything that we could potentially use?
Lulu: Not yet, but it's a start. You bet I laid the groundwork for more.
Laura: Okay. Just take it easy. It's just the first step, okay? Valentin is smart, so you have to be smarter. Just remember your daughter's custody depends on this.
Nelle: I think Lulu just wanted to make sure that we knew each other, since I'd be picking up and dropping off Charlotte and wanted to be familiar with me.
Valentin: That's it, is it?
Nelle: That's right. Uh, I think she just wanted to get to know me and make sure I was okay.
Valentin: Thanks for mentioning.
Valentin: Listen, just so you know, I offered to share custody with Lulu, but she took me to court and tried to take Charlotte away from Nina and me. So if you run into her again, she's the opposition, and she's not to be trusted.
Nelle: I'll remember that.
Valentin: And one more thing...
Valentin: I had the locks changed. You can never be too careful. Good night!
Nelle: What can I do for you, Michael?
Michael: Well, uh... here. I wanted to give you this for when you decide to get back out there.
[Cell phone rings]
Franco: [Gets a text from Jake: "See you tomorrow. Can't wait to do more drawing." [Sighs]
Kevin: I completely understand, and I agree that you should pursue this, but given my... [Sighs] ...Personal connection to the case and my personal history, I-I'm going to refer you to a colleague.
Elizabeth: But that's why I thought of you, because you understand everything.
Kevin: And I appreciate that. But I think you need fresh eyes and a greater objectivity. Now, I can highly recommend Dr. André Maddox.
Elizabeth: Okay. I know him. I -- we can give him a try.
Jason: Yeah, thank you for the help.
Kevin: I can make the referral and see if I can set up your appointment right away. Sometimes these appointments are scheduled weeks out.
Elizabeth: Yeah, yeah -- that'd be great. Thank you.
Jason: Appreciate it.
Kevin: Yeah. Good luck.
Jason: Okay. Well, that's progress.
Elizabeth: [Sighs] I'm glad we can put aside our differences just to help our son.
Jason: Well, of course. Jake comes first.
Sam: Hey, is this Speedy Gas? Are you located off Route 31 near the west entrance of Roebling Park? Great. Would you happen to have surveillance cameras pointed at the street?
Alexis: [Sighs] [Sighs]
[Creaking, wind whistling]
Alexis: [Sighs] It's okay. It was just the wind. It was just the wind. [Sighs] [Creaking]
On the next "General Hospital" --
Sonny (to Sam & Jason): Someone want to tell me why you called me away?
Josslyn (to Carly): Are you going to divorce Sonny?
Ned (to Larry): Whatever plans you have in store for Mother, I'll put a stop to them right now.
Tracy (to Laura): I'm not leaving without my painting.
Jax (to Alexis): Who says chivalry is dead?
