Franco: Sorry.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Franco: Hi. I didn't mean to wake you. I just want to be sure.

Elizabeth: Sure of what?

Franco: That this isn't a dream.

Elizabeth: Well, if it is... ...I don't want to wake up either.

[Finn's pills rattle as he counts how many he has left]

Michael: The vote was a lot tighter than I expected. I guess some members aren't ready for another Quartermaine in the mix.

Hayden: Yeah.

Michael: But, uh, my grandmother asked me. I couldn't turn her down.

Yeah, well, I'm gonna have to send Monica a thank-you. Because you're just the kind of progressive CEO I need to help me guide GH through this transition.

Brad: What kind of transition would that be? Are the rumors true? Did the board just vote to sell off GH for good?

Carly: Finn. Hi.

Finn: Hi. Oh, my gosh. It's been so long.

Finn: It sure has.

Carly: I mean, for a man who lives in my hotel with his lizard, how do I not see you more?

Finn: I don't know.

Lucas: Because you're looking at a guy who's a potential Nobel prize candidate. I have it on good authority that Finn here has maybe come up with a cure for Blackwood's Syndrome.

Carly: Oh. I'm guessing that's a big deal.

Finn: Well, yes, although Blackwood's is rare, the hope is the cure will have other potential applications.

Carly: Congratulations.

Finn: Thank you.

Carly: Hey, you okay?

Finn: Yeah. Yeah, I'm...sure. I'm good. Uh... how's Sonny doing?

Carly: Sonny's fine. Yeah, he's, uh -- he's doing great. Why do you ask?

Finn: I am a proud man. And if I had anywhere else to turn, I would. But I don't. Is there anything you could do to help me?

Sonny: Well, it''s possible that I know someone who might know someone.

[Back to present]

Finn: Oh, nothing. I just -- I-I heard he, uh -- he was cooped up at home. I...I don't know. Maybe it's time I paid him a visit.

Sonny: What happened between us, I take full responsibility. And we were drunk and, uh, alone. And I slept with you. And I...I sh--

[Rhythmic knocking]

Nelle: Who is it?

Felicia: Hi, Nelle. I hope you don't mind me dropping by like this, but I was just so darn excited.

Nelle: Um, no, no. But why are you excited? And here?

Felicia: To makeover your bedroom. Are you ready for some do-it-yourself magic?

Jason: Thanks. Hi. How are you? Okay?

Sam: Yeah.

Jason: Where's Danny?

Sam: He's upstairs. I was so afraid you weren't gonna make it.

Jason: No, no, I-I-I... well, the equipment took a little bit longer than we thought to set up, but...I'm glad I'm here in time to see you.

Sam: Are you kidding me? I wouldn't have left without seeing you first.

Sonny: You know, Sam, we got...we got people watching the grounds, and if we can get a long-range camera, so can they. So we got to...we got to get you out of here.

Sam: Are you guys serious? Really, sending me to the safe house? It's the only option?

Jason: Yes, it is. We talked about this. Okay? It's gonna be over soon. I promise.

Sonny: You got something?

Jason: No, I don't. I don't have anything yet, but...Curtis has been following Julian, and he's been on the move. It's only a matter of time until he leads us to the boss.

[Engine turns off]

Curtis: Hmm. Julian...what kind of remedies do they sell in there? And why does that interest you? Hmm.

Olivia: Oh, well, you're up bright and early this morning.

Julian: I'm not in the mood for your games.

Olivia: No, you're in a foul mood. It's not my fault that Alexis gave you the boot.

Julian: Well, if you recall, I was on my way out when you showed up.

Olivia: So you were. So you are out in the cold. Now, what are you doing here? You could have been followed.

Julian: I took care of that.

Olivia: Call me paranoid, but I don't believe everything you say.

Julian: Oh...oh, is that why you're pretending to be Alexis' sponsor? I mean, what is this? Some kind of a head game you're pulling on me? Threatening my wife?

Olivia: Ex-wife. And I really thought it was brilliant, don't you? I mean, I get her to tell me everything while I'm helping her.

Julian: Enough already. How much longer until you have what you came for? What the hell do you want?

Curtis: All right, Mr. Julian. Let's see who you know and who knows you.

[Instrumental music plays]

Olivia: You know full well what I want. I want you to suffer for what you did to me.

Julian: For trying to kill you?

Olivia: You thought you did kill me. You wanted me dead.

Julian: Well, lucky for both of us, you lived. Isn't that enough? I mean, come on, Liv. I can't change what happened in the past.

Olivia: Neither can I. I lost everything -- the people I loved, the purpose in my life. You took away everything I had to live for.

[Music continues]

Curtis: Damn.

Olivia: For years, I had to hide away from the world. Away from people I cared about.

Julian: Oh, come on. Name one person.

Olivia: There were people. I even have a sister I've never met.

Julian: Leave Ava out of this.

Olivia: Oh, right, because you are one big happy family living out in the open and right in front of the whole wide world, while I'm stuck on the other side of it in dumps like this.

Julian: Well, I don't know. You seem to be getting out and about. You've stalked Alexis. You don't seem to be too worried about being spotted out there, are you?

Olivia: There's just not a lot of people in Port Charles that would recognize me now.

Julian: Exactly. So why keep up the charade? You could put a stop to this, Liv. Instead of threatening my family, you can be a part of it.

Olivia: Aren't you the sentimental one.

Julian: Well, I have had a chance to start over. You can, too, you know. I mean, isn't that what you want? To start over?

Olivia: Sounds lovely. But until you do what I ask you to do, you belong to me.

Julian: For what? What, buddy-ing up to Gray? Buy the hospital? No, no, no. This can't be your end game. What aren't you telling me? Why is General Hospital so important to you?

Hayden: You know that we cannot comment on what we discussed in the board room, so...

Brad: Hayden, we all know you were brought back to pull GH out of the red by end of last year. And when you got sick, not much was done on your end.

Hayden: You know better than anyone what I was up against physically. What you don't know is that the board gave me until the end of the fiscal year.

Brad: Which is the end of this month. Congrats, you got a few weeks to save a sinking ship. I mean, on the bright side, I never fully unpacked from the last time we shut down. Maybe I'll just throw everything overboard. I... okay.

Michael: Don't listen to him.

Hayden: No, he's right. I can't turn the ship around if it's going down. I know exactly what we need to do.

Michael: Okay, well, then let's hear it.

Hayden: Look, I've tried every angle. I've trimmed costs left and right. I-I-I've looked at this every which way except for one. There's one cost keeping GH in the red. Reduce it, and we reduce the deficit.

Michael: Okay. Now, what's the catch?

Felicia: Would you say that this room reflects your tastes?

Nelle: Pretty much.

Felicia: Mm. But not in the bedroom?

Nelle: No. No. I mean, to call it utilitarian would be kind.

Felicia: So then we need to talk about themes and influences.

Nelle: Influences.

Felicia: For instance, I am originally from Texas. My great-grandmother had this wonderful ranch. It's the reason why I decorated my own home in Mojave dune-colored walls and southwest rugs. It reminds me of her. What about you? You have any memories that you can share? They would be a great springboard for us.

Nelle: Oh, I don't know.

Felicia: Oh, come on. Design is nothing if not personal. So tell me all about Nelle Hayes.

Sonny: Sam, if it's any consolation, uh, I know where you're coming from 'cause I want to be out there, too, instead of, you know, waiting around here on updates. But that's just the way things fell. So we both have to just be on the sidelines.

Jason: Look, you know I'm gonna come back for you as soon as this is over. [Sighs] Is Danny asleep upstairs? I want to say goodnight.

Sam: You know what? That's not necessary.

Jason: Why is that not necessary?

Sam: I'm not going.

Elizabeth: I really have to get going.

Franco: No, you don't.

Elizabeth: Yes, I do.

Franco: It's barely morning.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles] It's not barely morning. And I have to work today.

Franco: You could call in, you know. Epiphany would totally let you get away with it after everything you've been through. I don't want to leave this bed.

Elizabeth: What's going on?

Franco: Nothing. [Sighs] [Clears throat] All right. I am... I'm a little worried about what's gonna happen with us outside of this room.

Elizabeth: What do you mean?

Franco: Look, I'm not being paranoid and needy. I just -- a lot of people in my life have been warning me about us. About me specifically. People have been warning me about me. That I'm gonna screw it all up. And I don't want to walk out that door, go out there, and prove them all right. I'm afraid I'm gonna screw it all up and then I'm gonna lose you.

Elizabeth: Franco.

Franco: Hey, look, I'm a tortured artist. Narcissistic insecurities -- they kind of come with the territory. Fair warning.

[Both chuckle]

Elizabeth: I don't think being scared is unique to tortured artists. Yes, there are risks that'll come with us hitting the world together, but that's where the real life is. And my friends and family are just gonna have to accept that you're in my life now.

Franco: I am gonna screw up, you know.

Elizabeth: And so will I.

Franco: [Scoffs]

Elizabeth: But I think we're strong enough to work through it.

Franco: Oh, with you by my side, I definitely feel strong enough. Strong enough for anything.

Felicia: Where did you say you were from again?

Nelle: Atlanta.

Felicia: Atlanta! Well, that's a beautiful city. All that art, culture, and cuisine.

Nelle: Yeah, it's a really, really great place, if you have the money. But, um, maybe Atlanta isn't, uh, the place that I want all over my walls. You know, with the memories associated with it. I'm not sure I want to be reminded of my past every time I wake up in the morning.

Felicia: Okay, got it. Fresh start. Okay. But nothing too floral or polished. After all, we want your man to feel comfortable in your bedroom.

Nelle: Sorry?

Felicia: Well, the flowers from the Metro Court. Won't your boyfriend be spending time here, too?

Sonny: Sam, we can't keep doing this. 'Cause here's the thing, we have to let him take care of things. Because if he's worried, he's distracted.

Jason: We talked about this. We decided.

Sam: No. You decided. I was never fully convinced. And you know what? I-I was thinking about it this morning, and this plan doesn't make any sense. My father's gonna know that something's off.

Jason: By the time your father figures out anything's going on, we're gonna have something on him.

Sam: And what if you don't, Jason? What if whoever's threatening Julian's family actually goes after his family? Danny and I aren't the only ones. There's -- there's Leo. There's Lucas. There's Kiki.

Jason: Okay, okay. Listen to me. You and my kids are all I care about right now. I'll figure out what we can do about the rest of them. We're gonna be okay.

Sam: Okay, well, then that's fine. You can go after the boss. And I will stay here and make sure the others are okay.

[Cell phone ringing]

Jason: Give me a second. Curtis, what is up?

Curtis: Man, you better get down here. Julian's having a meeting with somebody. And I'm willing to bet it's the boss lady.

Jason: Text me the address. I'll be on my way.

Finn: You know, Sonny and I, you know, we're not exactly friends, but you've been so good to me, and, you know, if there's anything I can do. If he needs some company.

Carly: That's really kind. I mean, Sonny's busy right now, because he has a trial coming up, so he has a lot of meetings with his attorney. But I will tell him that you were thinking about him.

Finn: Okay. Okay.

Carly: Why Monica hired that woman to work here is a mystery to me.

Lucas: Carly.

Finn: Are you, uh, referring to, uh --

Carly: Seriously. Yes. The way she struts around this hospital like she owns the place. I mean, the stories I could tell about that woman. Lies, fraud, identity theft. The list goes on.

Lucas: Carly. Carly.

Carly: Seriously. She is the last person GH needs with her hand on their money.

Hayden: Hey.

Finn: Uh, hi.

Hayden: How's it going?

Finn: Hi. I believe you two know each other.

Sonny: Because you're pregnant, and he's worried about the baby.

Sam: Yeah, of course. I get that. But hiding out right now -- it's not the right option. If anything, it's a red flag.

Sonny: You could have a point.

Sam: Jason is a protector. You know that. He wants to protect everyone. Even though I'm pregnant, it doesn't mean I can't protect myself. I can, Sonny. And I got to thinking this morning that if this woman gets suspicious of my absence, who's she gonna go after? Jason. And I can't have that. You understand, right, Sonny?

Sonny: Sure. Sure I do.

Jason: [Sighs] So what do we got?

Curtis: Well, Julian's been in there about 20 minutes. He's meeting with somebody.

Jason: Can you tell if it's a woman?

Curtis: Well, the blinds are nearly closed, and all I can get is the back of his head.

Jason: All right, what are they saying?

Curtis: Check for yourself.

[Instrumental music plays]

Jason: Music? Music?

Curtis: Yeah. So I, um... I texted Brick, right? And he told me while this laser thing here is good for going through walls, it can't isolate specific noises and voices. So if they turn the music up, it's gonna drown everything out.

Jason: Great. So they know they're being tailed.

Curtis: Well, they could just be precautious. They do seem like extra-careful people.

Jason: Pawn shop, herb shop. This is it. I'm telling you. This is the new base of their operations.

Curtis: So what next?

Jason: What's next is we sit here, relax, wait for the mystery woman to show up. [Sighs]

Olivia: Don't. Can't be too careful.

Julian: So you never answered me. Why are you so hot to buy General Hospital, tear it down, and put up condos? I mean, uh, real estate was never your thing.

Olivia: Times change. It's -- it's a wonderful business opportunity. It's a... it's a great investment. And it will provide me with a wonderful place to live. And I can go there anytime I want to and be alone if I need to, and... except for my staff, of course. Beats the hell out of this dump.

Julian: Yeah, that's if, uh... if the deal goes through.

Olivia: If?

Julian: Well, I have allies on the GH board, but if the majority refuse to sell, there's nothing I can do, Liv.

Olivia: Get more creative. Get more allies. Pay people off. Get them on the board. General Hospital is bleeding money. This is a perfect time to strike.

Julian: Okay. If you want a luxury property, why don't I just buy up the waterfront? You could put up whatever you want and get the hell off my back.

Olivia: You don't understand. It has to be General Hospital.

Julian: But why?

Hayden: Hello. Carly.

Carly: Wow, you two, huh?

Finn: Yes, we are, uh... we -- we are. Uh, and we were, uh... we were trying to keep it quiet, but somehow apparently word got out around the hospital. Yeah, thanks to Amy.

Bobbie: Amy?

Lucas: Yeah.

Bobbie: Oh, Amy Driscoll.

Lucas: Yep.

Bobbie: Oh, yeah. Well, that girl can spread gossip faster than anybody since... must be something about that name.

Finn: Yes, well, I have, uh... I have a meeting to attend. I, uh -- it was nice seeing you again, Carly. And I --

Carly: You too.

Finn: I'll see you later.

Hayden: I'll hold you to that.

Michael: Okay. Um, Mom, I know you and Hayden have a complicated history, but she got me a seat on the board. And we might have a shot at saving the hospital.

Bobbie: Congratulations, honey.

Lucas: Oh, my God, that's great. Awesome.

Michael: Thank you. Oh.

Lucas: Wow. Nice.

Carly: That is great news. It really is. Okay, look, I don't think I'll ever forgive you for what you did to Jason. But if you can do good here at the hospital, I'll appreciate that.

Hayden: Thank you. That means a lot.

Carly: All right, well, let's not get all warm and fuzzy. 'Cause if you do anything to hurt my son, or anyone I care about, there will be hell to pay.

Nelle: Boyfriend? I never said I had a...

Felicia: The flowers from the Metro Court. You said they were from some guy you know.

Nelle: Oh.

Felicia: Well, I know romance when I see it. It seems like you know him pretty well.

Nelle: You know, it's a long story. Uh, I don't think he's gonna be spending the night anytime soon.

Felicia: Oh. Well, you know, I get so dehydrated in the wintertime, between the cold outside and always having the heater on. Could I trouble you for a glass of water?

Nelle: Yeah, sure. Not a problem at all.

[Glass clinks]

[Water runs]

[Water stops]

Felicia: [Gasps] Oh, my goodness.

Nelle: Felicia? Hey. What are you doing?

Elizabeth: I have to go.

Franco: I know.

Aiden: Mommy.

Elizabeth: Hey, hey. What have I said about knocking when the door's shut?

Aiden: Sorry. Grandma's downstairs, and I didn't see you.

Elizabeth: Okay. Um, are you hungry?

Aiden: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Go downstairs, and I will make you and your brother something to eat in just a few minutes, okay? And tell Grandma that I say, "Thank you." All right?

Aiden: Okay. Mm-hmm. Are you hurt?

Franco: Yep. Sure am. Your mom's been nice enough to help patch me up, so...

Aiden: So...are you two boyfriend and girlfriend now?

Franco: Dude, I'm just kind of hanging out right now. It's... yes.

Elizabeth: Yes, we are. How do you feel about that?

Aiden: Can we have waffles? Jake wants pancakes, but I call waffles.

Franco: Oh. Well, waffles are awesome. [Laughs]

Curtis: Anything?

Jason: No, just music.

Curtis: Look, man, we need to make a move. Let's go knock on the door. Just bum-rush this place. Something. But we sitting here messing with these fancy gadgets, and we gonna blow our opportunity to id the real boss.

[Instrumental music plays]

Jason: You need to sit tight. Julian led us here. This woman's gonna surface.

Curtis: [Sighs] Yeah. I guess you're right. You know, even when I was a cop, I had a hard time with this whole waiting-game thing. I see you got it down pat, though.

Jason: Well, I've done this a time or two. And believe me, I have a lot on my mind and more than one reason why I shouldn't be here right now. But I can't focus on that. I need to focus on doing my job.

Curtis: See, you got that talent for compartmentalizing. That's cool stuff, man. I could never do that. I never could. Maybe that's part of my damn problem.

Jason: Could be one of them, yeah. [Chuckles] So, why are you here, huh? Putting yourself through this? The boredom, the waiting.

Curtis: Pass on the opportunity of playing with all these fancy-ass gadgets that don't work?

Jason: Is it still about your nephew? Or, uh, is there something else out there? Something more important to you?

Sonny: Why don't I make you something to eat? 'Cause I know you're starving. Western omelets.

Sam: [Laughs] I can't believe you remember that.

Sonny: Well, I mean, it does seem like -- like a long time ago, but, uh, we've been through a lot, and we're doing all right.

Sam: Yeah, we have, haven't we?

Sonny: You and Jason really helped me out lowest point when...Morgan died. I'm -- I-I -- that's something I'm -- I'm not gonna come back from. You helped me survive, and you -- you helped me realize that giving up isn't gonna bring my boy justice. But you know what -- when it all comes down to it? We're family. And I'm gonna owe you for that. And I'll -- I'll never forget it.

Hayden: Message received. But you have nothing to worry about. I'm doing everything I can to help GH. Michael, are you ready to go over those financial records?

Michael: Yeah. Sure.

Carly: Now?

Michael: Yeah, why?

Carly: I just thought you were gonna go over the legal paperwork with me and your dad. For Morgan's foundation?

Michael: Oh, right. Oh, God. I'm sorry. I completely forgot. Um, Hayden, can we -- can we do this some other time?

Carly: You know what? Don't worry about it. The hospital takes priority. I can handle it.

Michael: Are you sure?

Carly: Yes, yes. It's just paperwork. I can figure it out.

Michael: Okay. Well, call me if you have any questions?

Carly: I will.

Michael: Okay. See you.

Bobbie: Hmm.

Lucas: I can help out if you need an assist.

Carly: No, that's okay. I can just call Nelle and ask her to come in.

Nelle: Is something wrong?

Felicia: No, no. I, um...I'm just taking in your room, you know. I see that you prefer clean lines as opposed to slip-covered, modified country-chic.

Nelle: I guess. Um, well, here's your water.

Felicia: Oh, thanks. I'm parched.

Nelle: Yeah.

[Cell phone ringing]

Nelle: Oh. Sorry. Excuse me.

Felicia: Mm-hmm.

Nelle: Hey, Carly. Hi. I am so sorry to call you on your day off. But I could really use some help setting up the forms for Morgan's foundation. Can you meet me at Sonny's? Please? I'll pay you overtime.

Nelle: Yeah. Yeah, not a problem. Um, I'll be right over. Duty calls.

Felicia: Oh, yeah, well, I gathered. I'll just be going. And, you know, I can just leave this stuff behind, and we can go through it the next time that I come back.

Nelle: Okay. I-I can see myself out. Thank you. Oh, uh, it was a real pleasure getting to know you. I-I'll see you soon.

Nelle: Okay. Have a good day.

Felicia: Mm. [Sighs]

Finn: [Sniffs as he takes a pill]

Brad: How's the pain? Feeling any better?

Finn: What do you want, Brad?

Brad: Security. Peace of mind. I just heard your girlfriend talking to Michael Corinthos. And, uh, this hospital is circling the drain, which means I might be out of a job soon. So let's make sure we're both on the same page, okay? I get co-credit for the Blackwood's cure. And then I stay silent about why you're lying to doctors and acting like a common street junkie trying to get his next fix.

Finn: Whatever you think you know, you don't. You're wrong.

Brad: Oh, I'm not wrong about wanting to be compensated for my work. So we have a deal, or what? Pay up, or I don't shut up.

Jason: Want to switch?

Curtis: Yeah. What the hell.

Jason: Good man.

Curtis: Look, man, first and foremost, this is about Morgan and TJ. Two kids who got caught up in a crossfire. I only want justice. Yeah, guess it's just the cop in me, but I can't stand to see bad guys get away with stuff. And the person who planted that bomb? That's a bad, bad guy... or gal.

Jason: So this is all about justice, huh?

Curtis: Only partly. It's also about the cop in me. About the man I used to be. The man I always wanted to be. I somehow lost him a long time ago. Sure would like to get him back, though. Now, I'm sure you're aware of the mistakes I've made in my past. Those mistakes have haunted me. They make folks look at me twice on the street no matter how pure my motives.

Jason: Curtis? I don't think it's "folks" that you're worried about. I think it's one person in particular. Could be wrong.

Curtis: They say the truth shall set you free. Hmm? It's what they say, right? Well, maybe if we find truth, I can prove my worth. Prove that I am that man, that cop, that dude I've always wanted to be.

Olivia: You ask too many questions.

Julian: Well, there's an easy way to put a stop to it. Just answer my question. What is it about GH that's so important to you?

Olivia: I have very fond memories there.

Julian: No, you don't. You have awful memories. In fact, this whole town holds nothing but painful, cruel memories for you. I cannot fathom why you'd want to come back here. I mean, why now?

Olivia: Ah-ah-ah. Those are several different questions. And right now they are above your pay grade. All you really need to know is what will happen if you're not successful. Come take a look.

[Instrumental music playing]

Olivia: Hmm.

Julian: You hacked into GH's security cameras?

Olivia: Mm. Yes, uh...I got quite an education overseas, and cloud hacking is so easy. It's a skill that I have now. It made it so much easier to see your -- your son and his husband. It's -- t-they're the cutest couple I've ever seen, aren't they?

Brad: [Sighs]

Lucas: What were you and Finn talking about?

Brad: Oh, it was, uh... it was nothing.

Lucas: Oh. Really? 'Cause to me, it sounded like you were blackmailing him.

Bobbie: How did it go?

Felicia: Well, I can't be sure. But I suspect that Nelle is being less than truthful about this boyfriend of hers.

Sonny: So where's Michael? I thought that he was supposed to help us with the foundation.

Carly: You know those high-flying GH board members. Something came up.

Sonny: Oh, he's on the board now. I'm sure Tracy and Monica are just thrilled to death.

Carly: I'm sure they are. But you know, there was an emergency session, so I called someone else to help.

Nelle: Hi, Mr. Corinthos.

Carly: You can call him Sonny, Nelle. You can call him Sonny by now. You know what? Go ahead and put the papers down there on the desk.

Nelle: Well, I'm ready to get started whenever you are.

Carly: Okay, great. Um, I think we have a few copies of our tax returns up in the bedroom cabinet upstairs. Do you know where the bedroom is?

Nelle: I'm sure I can find my way.

Olivia: Lucas and Brad. That's his husband's name, right? I bet they had a beautiful wedding. Another family gathering I wasn't invited to.

Julian: Why are you watching them?

Olivia: Why do you think? And if you're worried about your son, don't be. I saw him earlier today. He was out in the park with his mother having a wonderful time. You are not gonna make me send somebody over there again, are you?

Julian: No, no. [Sighs] I get it. If it's GH you want, it's...GH you'll get. I'll have to grease some palms, get some allies on the board, get that sale approved. Provided... you lay off my family.

Olivia: We'll see.

Julian: [Chuckles]

[Instrumental music playing]

[Music stops]

Curtis: Hold on. The music stopped.

Julian: No more threats. No more bombs under my car. We're done. I'm tired of living in fear of my own sister.

Curtis: Did he say "sister"?

[Camera shutter clicks]

Brad: I think you just misheard. I...I told you how it is with arrogant doctors like Finn. They trample all over the support staff unless we stand up for ourselves. [Sighs] Okay, look. I-it's been a tense time around here. Maybe I overreacted with him just a little.

Lucas: You sure? 'Cause there was a tone in your voice, Brad. It reminded me of how you used to be. I mean, I know you've changed a lot the last couple years. It's why I can depend on you now, and I hope for the rest of my life.

Brad: Of course, you can. Lucas, I will always take care of you. Okay? Of us.

Lucas: Yeah, you're right. Sorry I doubted you.

Brad: [Scoffs]

[Pager chimes]

Lucas: Um, oh. Yes. I am late for rounds. I got to go. I'll see you at lunch, okay?

Brad: Okay.

[Finn takes his last pill]

Hayden: So, what do you think? Please tell me my numbers are off or something, that you see another solution.

Michael: No, your numbers are solid. Are you absolutely sure there's nothing else we can trim? Even temporarily?

Hayden: I've nickled and dimed this every which way already. The only way to keep the hospital doors open is to make personnel cuts across the board. Including the nurses.

Bobbie: Do you think this boyfriend is Nelle's accomplice?

Felicia: I couldn't say. Nelle tries to make this man in her life out to be a casual thing, but he isn't exactly a non-entity.

Bobbie: Why do you say that?

Felicia: I found a brand-new bra, a European number, with a price tag up in the hundreds.

Bobbie: Whoa. Expensive taste.

Felicia: Yes, well, she can't even afford to redecorate her own bedroom. If I had to guess, these expensive tastes belong to a certain gentleman.

Bobbie: Which means this so-called boyfriend of hers has money.

Sonny: Since Michael can't be here to help out, I'm just gonna ask Diane to -- to take care of things.

Carly: Um, Sonny, Diane is busy prepping to defend you against murder charges.

Sonny: Well, she can do both. Because this is just, like, you know, setting up a foundation. It's contracts and forms. It's not a big deal.

Carly: That's why we can handle it.

Sonny: No, but you got too many things you're doing.

Carly: Listen to me. Nothing is more important than setting up this foundation so other kids with mental-health issues have a resource to turn to. And the only thing I want more than that is for Diane to give your case her undivided attention. So I'm sure with Nelle's help, we can figure this out.

[Upstairs, Nelle plants her expensive bra in Sonny's bedroom.]

On the next "General Hospital" --

Michael: I hate it, but it's the only way to keep GH open.

Maxie (to Nina): You and your husband, you're keeping my best friend away from her daughter.

Amy (to Elizabeth): Everything is very much not okay.

Lulu (to Alexis): We are more than prepared to fight Valentin.

Nelle (to Carly & Sonny): It's only fair I find a way to pay you back.

Curtis (to Jason): Do we continue investigating, or do we tell Sonny what we found?
