[Kissing, sighing]Hayden: I'm not sure if I told you this, [Gasps] But this was on my bucket list, as well.
Finn: [Sighs] Huh. You never told me, but I'm very happy to be included on the list. And may I just say that you are much, much better at this than you are at skating?
Hayden: [Laughs] Well, it's easy when you're as happy as I am.
Finn: Are you?
Hayden: It's a little disorienting, really, because for so long, I was waiting for the Feds to catch up with me or for Nikolas to expose me or -- or kill me, and then I was thinking I was gonna die from this terrible disease, but now I'm finally done waiting for the other shoe to drop. Mm.
Elizabeth: Franco, it's me again. I don't know where you are, and I'm really worried. [Sighs] Listen, I know we're taking a step back, but I just -- I need to hear your voice. We're in this together, okay? I-I can help you. But, Franco, you've got to call me back. Please. [Sighs]
Brad: I couldn't help but overhear. You're looking for Franco?
Elizabeth: Have you seen him?
Scott: Uh, say, bartender, [Taps table] Let me ask you a question. You seen this woman?
Nathan: Well, welcome to your honeymoon, Maxie.
Maxie: Nathan, did you do all of this?
Nathan: Nina had my back.
Maxie: It's beautiful.
Nathan: It should be. It's the first night of the rest of our life together.
Anna: I remember.
Valentin: What do you remember?
Anna: That night. It was my birthday. You were in my room at the academy. Oh, you tried to kiss me.
Lulu: I know exactly what it feels like to miss your mom. It's just about the emptiest, loneliest feeling in the world. You still have a mom. It's me. I'm your real mommy.
Charlotte: No, you're not my mommy!
Finn: I know it doesn't feel fantastic, but what -- what are you doing?
Hayden: Looking for these peanut butter crackers, and we're out.
Finn: You ate those hours ago. I mean, we -- we ate everything hours ago.
Hayden: No. We can't be out of food. I'm starving!
Finn: Well, it's -- it's official. We have no choice. We have to leave this bed, and we have to venture out into the world and search for food.
Hayden: [Laughs] No, I don't want to. Now that I have you here, I want to keep you.
Finn: You know, leaving this bed doesn't mean it's the end. It's -- it's just the beginning.
Hayden: I like the sound of that. [Scoffs] I know this moment had to come sooner or later. Mm. I'm just gonna take a shower. And then I'll be back.
Finn: Okay. [Sighs]
Finn: [Sniffs] [Exhales heavily]
Hayden: I forgot my... Finn, what are you doing?
Elizabeth: Have you seen Franco?
Brad: Uh, sorry, no. I didn't mean to get your hopes up. I just wanted to tell you you're not the only one looking for him.
Elizabeth: Who else?
Brad: Uh, well, let's see, the guy missed all of his art-therapy appointments today, so Dr. Quartermaine was on the warpath.
Elizabeth: Oh, um, yeah, I'm sure he'll smooth that out tomorrow.
Brad: Uh, she's not the one Franco should be worried about.
Elizabeth: Who is?
Brad: [Sighs] The police.
Elizabeth: [Whispers] The police?! They were at the hospital? What did they want?
Brad: I don't know. Amy said they just asked if Franco was working today, and they weren't too happy to find out he was MIA.
[Cell phone ringing]
Brad: Oh, uh, that's Lucas. I'll see you later, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: Okay. Yeah.
[Cell phone rings]
Scott: Scott Baldwin.
Elizabeth: Hey, uh, hi, it's Elizabeth Webber. I'm -- I'm sorry. I don't mean to worry you, but I have been looking for Franco, and I just found out that he -- he didn't show up for work today. Have you seen him?
Scott: No, I haven't. Not since this morning. I'm worried about him, too.
Elizabeth: Well, we need to find him.
Scott: Okay, listen, I'm at Gene's Branford Roadhouse. Can you meet me here?
Elizabeth: The place that Tom Baker was killed?
Scott: Yeah, yeah, that's the place. Um, I'm here trying to get some clues about what happened that night.
Elizabeth: Yeah, I'll be right there.
Maxie: My mom was supposed to take all of these presents back to our apartment.
Nathan: She did. These are my wedding presents to you.
Maxie: All of them?
Nathan: Yeah. I could fill the whole room, and it wouldn't be enough to show you how much I love you, Maxie. Do you want to open them right now?
Maxie: I want to wait.
Nathan: You want to wait? I don't know that I've ever known you to postpone presents.
Maxie: Well, I already have the best present ever...husband.
Nathan: Mm. So when do you want to open them, wife?
Dante: You are grabbing a piece to go?
Nina: Oh, no, it's not for me. It's for Charlotte.
Nina: She didn't get a piece, and she and her father wandered off.
Dante: Do you --
Nina: Thank you.
Dante: Yeah. Hey, you know, since -- since we are alone right now, maybe we can have a word about Charlotte.
Nina: I don't think that's a good idea.
Dante: Look, I know things are tense, because of the hearing coming up and everything.
Nina: Yeah, well, that was Lulu's idea. She wants sole custody. Never mind that Charlotte is completely happy with Valentin and me. Excuse me.
Dante: Right, um, all that aside, Lulu, Rocco, and I are -- are a part of Charlotte's life, Nina. Th-that's not gonna change.
Nina: Uh, yeah, I mean, maybe if Lulu would put her own selfish needs aside and realize that ripping that little girl away from her father is actually hurting her...
Dante: Okay, Nina, Lulu is her mother.
Nina: Charlotte doesn't know that.
Lulu: Charlotte, listen to me. Okay, I know that you will always love Claudette. [Voice breaking] And I know that you are so sad that she's gone. There are a lot of people here that love you. [Sniffles] I love you. So does my husband, Dante. You even have a brother. Do you remember Rocco? You guys had so much fun together on Christmas Eve. Any time you are sad, you can come to my house, and you can play with me and Rocco, okay? I would love that more than anything 'cause you're a part of our family, okay? We love you so much.
Charlotte: No, you're not my mommy!
Lulu: No, Charlotte.
Charlotte: Leave me alone!
Lulu: No, Charlotte, wait! Charlotte, wait! Wait!
Lulu: Damn it! Damn it! It's stuck! Charlotte? Charlotte, can you hear me?
Lulu: Charlotte, can you hear me?
Griffin: What did you do to Anna?
Valentin: Get the good...father out of here before I beat him unconscious.
Griffin: Son of a --
Anna: Stop it!
André: Easy, Griffin! Easy. Easy. Anna, what do you want us to do?
Anna: Just leave. Leave.
André: Let's go.
Griffin: I'm not leaving her out here with this son of a --
André: This is Anna's b-- this is Anna's business. Griffin. She said we're leaving, so we're leaving.
Valentin: Alone at last, though not quite what I'd hoped for when I visited you in your room on your birthday.
Anna: So we were at the academy together, weren't we? The WSB. I was training to be a field agent, and you were, um...
Valentin: An analyst.
Anna: Oh, yeah.
Valentin: Do you remember why?
Anna: No. Um... I don't remember much about you. Only that... you looked different.
Valentin: What a polite way to put that. Do you know why I've changed so much? Because of you.
Hayden: I knew it was too good to be true.
Finn: Hayden, you got to listen to me, please. [Sighs]
Hayden: You're still sick, aren't you? I thought we both finished our medication, but you're still taking the serum. Did the cure not work for you?
Finn: I'm not sick. I'm not sick.
Hayden: Then why are you injecting yourself?
Finn: I was fighting the disease much longer than you. The infection was in my body for years. It's just taking a little longer to eradicate the bacteria from my system, but I'm getting there.
Hayden: So there's nothing to worry about?
Hayden: Don't scare me like that.
Finn: You scared me. [Chuckles] Sneaking up on me. I thought you were in the shower.
Hayden: No, I just -- I forgot my brush. You're sure everything's okay?
Finn: I'm sure.
Hayden: Good. 'Cause I want you to be the picture of health when we do this again.
[Soft-rock music plays]
Elizabeth: [Quietly] Scott.
Scott: Hi, Elizabeth.
Elizabeth: Where's Franco? His car's in the parking lot. Did you find him? Is he here?
Scott: I didn't see his car in the parking lot. No, he's not here.
Elizabeth: What do you mean? If his car's here and he's not, then where is he?
Scott: [Sighs deeply] I don't know.
Elizabeth: Well then, what are you waiting for? We should call the police.
Scott: No, no, no. That's the worst thing to do right now.
Maxie: If this is any indication of our life together, then I'm really excited about our future.
Nathan: Oh, I knew my future the night I met you. You opened that door, and I just knew.
Maxie: Yeah, but then I went away for a few months, and I came back.
Nathan: Yeah, you know, it was a little rocky getting here, but I always knew that the destination would be worth the journey.
Maxie: You're a very smart man.
Nathan: I have my moments.
Maxie: You know what would make this moment even better?
Nathan: Yeah, those little cookies that you always eat in bed?
Nathan: Yeah, check the nightstand. Top drawer.
Maxie: My cookies!
Nathan: That's just your first present.
Maxie: Ohh! What -- you hate it when I eat these cookies in bed. They get crumbs everywhere.
Nathan: They do, but that's just part of the gig, right?
Maxie: Oh. I could get used to this. Mm. Thank you.
Lulu: [Groans] Hello?! Can anyone hear me? I am stuck in the linen closet. Hello?! Anyone?!
Dante: Oh, what the hell, Lulu? Where the hell are you?
[Cell phone ringing]
Nina: What's wrong? What's wrong? Where's your papa?
Valentin: I expressed my feelings to you, and you recoiled in horror.
Anna: No, you're wrong.
Valentin: You couldn't possibly care for a creature like me.
Anna: I didn't recoil in horror. No. I was startled. 'Cause we were friends, and I didn't expect you to want anything more than that.
Valentin: Otherwise you could have never shown me any kindness at all. Isn't that right?
Anna: Oh, I didn't care what you looked like.
Valentin: Of course, you did. You just covered it better than most.
Anna: I liked you! You were smart. You were really smart. We were friends.
Valentin: Until I forgot my place.
Anna: Your place? What?
Valentin: Yeah. Behind a desk in a dark room out of the way where people like you could use my skills and my brain without having to look at me. That's not friendship. That's no life! So I decided to remake myself. I sold my skills to the highest bidder, paid for the, uh, surgery that would straighten my spine. It made me look somewhat normal. I have you to thank for that. Did you know that scoliosis would have killed me? I-I probably would have meant very little to you. I mean, what's one less twisted cripple next to the perfect agent Anna Devane?
Dante: Where the hell would Lulu go without her phone?
Lulu: Hello?! Get me out of here! [Groans] Great! Great! I have no purse. I have no phone. How am I gonna get out of here? [Sighs]
Elizabeth: Why don't you want to call the police? Franco's car is in the parking lot. He's not answering his cell. Obviously there's something really wrong going on here.
Scott: Calling the police would just make things worse.
Elizabeth: Do you know something I don't? Do the police have more evidence against him?
Scott: I got some friends in the DA's office, and they told me that the police found Tom Baker's DNA on a dog cage in Franco's art studio.
Maxie: Please let it be what I think it is. Please, please, please, please, please. [Tears paper] Is this real?
Nathan: Every stitch and scrap of leather.
Maxie: Ohh! I have prayed for one of these. I love it! I love it! I love it! I love it! Oh, you are wonderful!
Nathan: [Chuckles] So it was worth the wait?
Maxie: Completely. Have you, um -- have you ever seen something so beautiful?
Nathan: Actually, I have.
Maxie: This is the most wonderful, most perfect wedding present I could ever get.
Nathan: Well, there is one other present I'd like you to open, if you could ever set the bag down for...
Maxie: One minute.
Nathan: [Whispers] It'll be okay.
Maxie: [Chuckles] What is this?
Nathan: Open it and see.
Maxie: [Tearing paper] Oh, my God.
Dante: Lulu, are you in there? Lulu?!
Nina: All right, I want you to know, all right, whatever happens, you can always come to me and talk about it, all right? You want to tell me what happened?
Charlotte: That lady said she was my mother.
Nina: Oh, Lulu? She said she was your mom? Okay. Well, you know what, don't worry about it right now. Let's not worry -- think about it or worry about it. We'll talk about it with your papa later.
André: So I'm guessing Valentin didn't just attack you on a whim.
Griffin: He murdered the woman I love.
André: So you hit first.
Griffin: Did you not hear what I just said? Valentin murdered Claudette.
André: Griffin, listen, I wouldn't be a very good shrink or a very good friend if I didn't tell you that you're projecting a lot of grief and guilt onto a convenient target.
André: You obviously had a complex relationship with Claudette and a lot of unresolved feelings for her.
Griffin: What, are you defending this bastard?
André: I'm suggesting that it's much easier to believe that Valentin killed Claudette than to accept the fact that, for whatever the reasons, she may have taken her own life.
Griffin: What about Anna? You saw how upset she was. I'm no shrink, but I'm willing to bet Valentin did a lot more than just try to kiss her.
Anna: I think you misunderstood my actions.
Valentin: Oh, no, it couldn't be you. It would have to be me. But I do have to thank you for giving me the nudge to remake my life. Do you know I've recently come into a fortune? But until that time, everything I had, everything I am I made myself. And it all started in your room at the academy on your birthday. I just want you to know, your rejection of me has given me more than your friendship ever could.
Valentin: Charlotte, Nina, sorry to leave you hanging so long.
Nina: I'm glad you're here. Uh, Charlotte's pretty upset.
Valentin: Qu'est-ce qui se passe, ma petite?
Valentin: Oh! Well, why don't you tell Daddy? I'll fix it.
Charlotte: Papa, Griffin said you killed Mommy.
Valentin: Hey, listen to me. Regarde-moi, s'il te plait. Griffin is very mad at Daddy, so he told the worst lie he could possibly think of, but that's all it is. It's just a lie. I would never hurt Mommy. I would never hurt anyone or anything that you love.
Charlotte: I hate Griffin.
Valentin: No, no, no, no. I don't want you to feel that. That's poison. I don't want you to hate anyone or anything.
André: You look like you could use this more than me.
Anna: You all right?
Griffin: Are you?
Nina: Charlotte's been having a rough night. Griffin isn't the only one who said something that confused her.
Valentin: Who else.
Dante: I'm sorry. Have you seen my wife? She was the matron of honor. She's got blonde hair. She was...
Dante: Did you hear something?
Anna: Oh, my God, are you all right?
Lulu: Yes, I'm fine.
Anna: Oh, my goodness.
Lulu: The cake broke my fall.
Dante: Okay, but what were you doing up there?
Lulu: It's a long story. Can you help me up?
Dante: Yes, yes, yes, yes.
Lulu: Okay. Okay. Okay.
Anna: All right?
Lulu: Ohh. Look at the mess that I've made. We're going to have to call Carly and your mom and tell them we'll pay for the damages.
Dante: Okay, worry about that later. Are you okay?
Griffin: Any pains, blurred vision, headache?
Lulu: The only thing hurt is my pride.
Anna: Should we leave you? Are you all right?
Dante: We're good. Thank you.
André: I don't know about you guys, but I could use another scotch.
Dante: What happened?
Lulu: I have to tell you later. Can you just help me get cleaned up?
Dante: Yes, of course. Come on.
Valentin: Did something happen with Lulu?
Nina: Hey, it's okay, baby. Tell your papa what you told me.
Charlotte: She said she was my mommy, but I don't want her to be.
Maxie: What is it? What's wrong?
Nathan: The necklace looks fine but it pales in comparison to your beauty.
Maxie: Nathan, it's beyond stunning. I don't even have the words. But this is vintage. Where did you get this?
Nathan: Used to belong to my great-grandmother. Edith Vandergeld Reeves. She was a grand dame of high society, but I'm sure it never looked as good on her as it does on you.
Maxie: How does Nina feel about me getting a family heirloom.
Nathan: I'm sure Nina is fine now that you're part of the family.
Maxie: I love it. I love you.
Finn: We may have to separate to eat.
Hayden: Maybe this is a bad idea. Maybe we should go.
Finn: Yes, let's go.
Hayden: [Laughing] No. No. Now that I smelled the ribs, my mouth is watering. We need to eat now.
Finn: All right. Let's eat.
Hayden: Eat fast.
Brad: Hey, guys.
Brad: I'm just waiting for Lucas, but it's good to see you out and about looking hearty.
Finn: Yeah. Well, it's thanks to you.
Hayden: Make sure this one doesn't skip any of his last doses now that he's almost done with his medication, I don't want anything compromising his health.
Scott: And if the cops find out that he's on the run, they are just going to assume that he's guilty.
Elizabeth: What about you? Do you think he's on the run because he killed Tom Baker?
Scott: I don't think that Franco murdered Tom Baker. I don't.
Elizabeth: But you do think he went on the run?
Scott: Well, when I saw him this morning here at the bar, he, um, was adamant about not going to prison, and he suggested that taking off might be an option. Now that you're telling me that his car is out there in the parking lot --
Elizabeth: You think he decided to disappear before he could be arrested.
Scott: Well, he might have ditched the car and just hitched a ride out of town.
Hayden: You know what, it looks like they're almost done playing pool. Do you feel like playing?
Finn: Yeah, sure, but I thought you wanted to eat and run.
Hayden: Well, beating you at pool may have been another item on my bucket list. And now that I'm going back to work, you know, I'm not gonna have time for things like this.
Brad: You're coming back to GH?
Finn: It would -- it would seem we both are.
Brad: That's great. Hopefully you can dig the hospital out of the financial hole it's in.
Brad: Oh, and it'll be, uh, nice to have you back, too, Finn.
Finn: Yeah, thanks.
Brad: [Chuckles] Okay, but seriously, though, now that we've had a successful trial with the serum, we should really start applying for grants to take the protocol to market.
Finn: I've been thinking -- I've been thinking about that. Have -- have you heard about the Higgins Foundation?
Brad: Yes, the Higgins Foundation.
Finn: They do a lot of grants with research in our area.
Hayden: You know, I'm gonna let you two talk without me. I'm gonna stake a claim on the pool table, okay?
Brad: So... so. You and Hayden?
Finn: Have nothing to do with possible grant proposals. Now we're sitting.
Brad: [Chuckles] Okay. I won't say anything, but I got to ask. If you two are together, why are you lying to her?
Maxie: I love everything you got me from the custom bag to the heirloom diamonds.
Maxie: I just wish that I got a present for you as equally wonderful as what you got me.
Nathan: Oh, you don't have to get me anything.
Maxie: Oh, no, no. I-I got you a present. I just hope that you love it as much as I love what I got.
Nathan: I'm sure --
Maxie: Now, listen, I had my mom sneak in here during the reception, so it's not very well-wrapped. But since you sprung this whole wedding thing on me, I'm thinking you're gonna understand.
Nathan: You got me a ball signed by Jeter?
Maxie: Okay [Sighs] Not just any ball. Do you remember that story you told me about the first Yankee game you ever went to?
Nathan: No way. You -- this is that ball? You tracked this down?
Maxie: Well, luckily, that guy -- he's a huge Yankee fan, and he frequents the message boards. He saw my post.
Nathan: And he agreed to sell it to you?
Maxie: I can be persuasive!
Nathan: You are amazing. I got a signed ball.
Maxie: Uh --
Nathan: "To Floyd."
Maxie: Yeah, unfortunately, Floyd already had it autographed. I hope you don't mind.
Nathan: No, I don't mind. Are you kidding me? This is -- this is insane. I can't believe you managed to track this -- I can't even believe you remembered that story. I only told it to you once when we were handcuffed together. [Chuckles]
Maxie: Yeah, that was [Chuckles] -- That was the second-best night of my life.
Nathan: Second best?
Maxie: Yeah. Tonight, our wedding night -- that was my first.
André: Everything okay? Valentin just threw a lot at you.
Anna: Yeah, I know. I'm just thinking it through.
Griffin: Well, you said he -- he kissed you. Did he, uh, uh, try to force himself --
Anna: No, no. I don't remember much. But... we were friends of a sort.
André: Well, clearly, he hoped for more.
Anna: Yeah. And when I turned him down, I-I... I guess we went our separate ways 'cause I just don't remember him after that. He must have left the academy. Honestly, I never gave him much thought. That night really didn't mean that much to me.
Valentin: I have to apologize, ma petite.
Valentin: Well, it's not very easy to be my daughter, but that's my fault. That's not your fault. Lulu should not have said what she did.
Charlotte: Was she lying?
Valentin: That is a complicated and very grown-up conversation that one day Nina and I will have with you one day.
Valentin: When you're not upset and you're not tired, and I've had some time to think about how I'm gonna put terms like "in-vitro fertilization" and "surrogacy" in ways you'll understand.
Charlotte: What do those words mean?
Valentin: Uh, right. Well, that's not important. What's important is that I'm your papa and that I'll never let anything happen to you, and I love you more than the world itself. And Nina is my wife, and she loves you, too.
Nina: I do love you. And I'm very honored to be your stepmother.
Charlotte: Don't say that.
Nina: Why not?
Charlotte: Stepmothers are wicked. And you're wonderful.
Valentin: Nina is wonderful.
Lulu: How does Charlotte seem?
Dante: Uh, she seems okay. Do you think now you can tell me what happened?
Lulu: I did something really stupid. I saw Charlotte hiding in a linen closet, and I could tell that she was upset. So I went in after her and... [Sighs] I just wanted to take away her pain, okay, and -- and then I made it worse.
Dante: How did you make it worse?
Lulu: I told Charlotte that I'm her mother. I know that I shouldn't have. Okay, I couldn't help myself. She looked so lost and so alone. I just wanted to make her feel better. I scared her.
Dante: Okay, look, you love her. She may have been upset, but I don't think you scared her.
Lulu: When I told her, Charlotte ran out of the linen closet. She slammed the door so hard it jammed the door. [Voice breaking] That's how badly she wanted to get away from me. And I don't blame her. She is my own child, and I had no idea what she needed, because she's like a stranger to me, just like I am to her.
Maxie: You have to admit it turned out to be a very good thing we got handcuffed together on the 4th of July.
Nathan: Is that your way of apologizing for locking us together?
Maxie: Have you forgotten that you arrested me for a small act of civil disobedience?
Maxie: Nathan, I think you owe me.
Nathan: Oh. Here you go.
Maxie: What is this?
Nathan: I guess that's the last present.
Maxie: [Chuckling] Okay. Okay. Now, who are these for -- me or you?
Nathan: I'm willing to negotiate.
Lulu: Charlotte hates me. What if she hates me forever?
Dante: Stop, okay? That's not gonna happen, I promise you. All right? Let's get out of here.
Nina: She's asleep.
Valentin: Yeah, let's go home.
André: What else did Valentin say to you out on the terrace?
Anna: He thanked me.
André: He thanked you?
Anna: Hmm. He told me my rejection of him inspired him to change his life. I don't believe him. I don't think he's grateful. I think he came here to Port Charles to get revenge against me.
Scott: Listen, Elizabeth, I'm not giving up on Franco. I'm not. I'm gonna go down to the police department right now and see if they're gonna charge him.
Elizabeth: Will you let me know what you find out?
Scott: I will. And if you hear from Franco, tell him to sit tight and tell him to call me, okay?
Elizabeth: I will.
[Door opens, closes]
Gene: What can I get you?
Elizabeth: I heard that some guy was murdered here. Is that true?
Gene: I'm not supposed to talk about it.
Elizabeth: Oh, right. Your boss probably doesn't want to scare away the customers. Well, I'm totally fascinated with that kind of stuff. I watch all those "true crime" shows on TV. Do you think maybe you could at least tell me where it all happened? I promise I won't tell anyone.
Gene: In the alley around back.
Brad: All the doses of the protocol are locked in my lab. Your treatment's complete, just like Hayden's. So why does she think you're still taking the serum?
Finn: Don't worry about it. [Scoffs]
Brad: But if Hayden saw you taking something, that... wait. You're not still taking Zen-Zen, are you? 'Cause that drug's highly addictive.
Finn: Brad, I'm well aware of the USP warnings, all right? Why don't we stick to talking about making the cure for Blackwood's Syndrome available to everyone, okay?
Hayden: Hey. Pool table's ready. How do you feel about losing?
Finn: I like it.
Hayden: Good. Bye, Brad.
Finn: Bye, Brad.
Elizabeth: Is that Franco's? [Blows] Is this blood? Oh, Franco, you didn't run away. Oh, God, what's happened to you?
On the next "General Hospital" --
Sonny (to Carly): What about us?
Michael (to Josslyn): My dad's not responsible for Morgan's death.
Curtis (to Jordan): Sonny Corinthos had nothing to do with his son's death.
Kiki (to Elizabeth): They're charging Franco with Tom Baker's murder.
Sam (to Alexis): What else were you lying about, Mom?
Julian (to Jason): Hey, what I have to say affects you, it affects Sam, and it affects your children.
