Nelle: And the charity that wants to hold their fundraiser later this week, in our ballroom, I moved their scout of the location to next week. Um, I hope that, uh, the fact that you're not in yet means you're enjoying yourself. All right, I'll talk to you later.
Michael: Happy New Year.
Nelle: Happy New Year.
Nelle: You, again, too. [Chuckles]
Michael: [Chuckles] Hey, have you seen my mom?
Nelle: Uh, no, no. She is MIA.
Michael: Well, maybe she found someone to spend New Year's with.
Nelle: Fingers crossed.
Carly: Oh, my God, what smells so good?
Carly: You cooked breakfast?
Sonny: Uh, yes, I did. Breakfast or brunch.
Carly: What time is it?
Sonny: Uh, I let you sleep.
Carly: I'm gonna be late for work.
Sonny: I talked to Olivia, she's taking care of everything. So, I made all your favorites.
Carly: Wow. Well, okay. I mean, I might as well eat, since you went to all this trouble, right?
Carly: I can't believe I slept so late. I mean, I haven't had a solid night's sleep... you know.
Jason: Hey, hey.
Sam: Hey, guys.
Jason: Good to see you. Glad you could make it.
Sam: Hi. Wow, I -- I had no idea this is where you were...
Sam: ...Every Friday afternoon, feeding the homeless.
Curtis: I'm trying to teach your man the importance of paying it forward.
Jason: Oh, I got it. [Clears throat] I'm actually here for a different reason, but I'll tell you what -- being with some of these people, hearing their stories, seeing how many of these kids are dependent on these shelters. It'll break your heart. I think, uh... I think maybe we should do this more often, you know? After our job's done, maybe volunteer a little bit.
Sam: I agree. That's good. Um, but you are here about the case?
Jason: Oh, yeah, I'm here about the case.
Ava: Is it safe to come in?
Julian: Alexis is still out, if that's what you mean.
Ava: Yes! [Chuckles] That is what I meant. Happy to see you.
Julian: Oh, thanks.
Ava: Happy New Year.
Julian: Mm. Same to you. How was, uh -- how was New York?
Ava: It was nice.
Ava: Yeah. Nice little getaway. How were the holidays for you?
Julian: Uh, I'm in one piece.
Ava: Yeah, barely, thanks to Alexis trying to kill you.
Julian: [Sighs] Okay, I'm just gonna keep repeating this until you hear me -- I love Alexis.
Ava: Yeah, yeah, yeah. So...where is the hit-and-run driver, huh?
Julian: She's out.
Ava: Right. 'Cause it's got to be happy hour somewhere.
Franco: This guy was in your bar on December 21st, and I'd like to know who he talked to.
Gene: I already talked to the cops about that guy. Who are you?
Franco: I am a concerned party.
Gene: Yeah, concerned how? A lot of people come here to relax. They mind their own business, I mind mine.
Franco: Okay, but this guy didn't get a chance to relax, 'cause he came here for drinks that night, and then someone murdered him. And the cops think... that it was me.
Michael: So, you agree that little nudge we gave my mom last night might've worked?
Nelle: It's possible. However, I wouldn't get my hopes up if I were you.
Michael: Hell, yes, I'm getting my hopes up. 2016 was probably one of the worst years I've ever had. I got to hope this year is a lot better, and my mom and dad getting back together, that would be a good start.
Nelle: Yeah, well, I'm all for optimism, Michael, but if you want something to happen, you got to do more than hope.
Michael: Wha-- why, are you suggesting that I lock my mom and dad in a room until they work things out?
Michael: Actually, Morgan and I tried that when we were -- we were younger, and I'm trying to remember if that did any good.
Nelle: I'm just saying, if you want things to happen the way that you want them to happen, you got to work at it. You know? That's what I do.
Carly: So, I guess we should talk about what's going on here, huh?
Sonny: It's called "brunch."
Carly: You know what I'm talking about.
Sonny: [Chuckles] [Sighs] You know what, I just -- I just want you to stay. I just want you to... be my wife, live with me here. What do you want?
Carly: I don't know. I don't know. I woke up this morning, and it was -- I don't know, it was like I thought everything was a dream. And...then I remembered where I was and then I remembered what happened last night.
Sonny: Are you happy about what happened or do you think it was a mistake?
Sam: So, you hope to track down the guy who planted the bomb in Julian's car at a soup kitchen?
Jason: [Chuckles] Yeah, believe me, if we had a better option, we'd take it.
Curtis: Well, for right now, it's all we've got.
Jason: We talked to the employees at The Floating Rib, asked them if they had seen this guy on the surveillance footage.
Curtis: Well, the dishwasher said his name was Buzz and that he used to sneak him leftovers when he could. But he ain't seen him since the bombing.
Sam: Okay, well, what about anyone here? Have they seen Buzz?
Jason: Well, we asked a few of them. They all said the same thing -- "keeps to himself, moves around a lot."
Curtis: Yeah. Well, he probably took off for the winter, and to get away from Sonny.
Jason: But on the off chance that he didn't...
Sam: Whe-- [Sighs] Any other leads?
Jason: Any other leads? Well, I've got to call in Spinelli, to ask about that Chinese model boat, and he's looking into the characters that spell "reincarnation."
Sam: What about the, uh, owner of the pawn shop, Rudge?
Curtis: Oh, I've had eyes on Rudge. It's a pretty boring life -- goes to work, back home. Doesn't to go to a gym, don't go out for drinks. Nothing there.
Sam: That leaves one person -- Julian.
Jason: Well, he's not gonna talk to me and he's certainly not gonna talk to him.
Sam: [Chuckles] You know what? He'll talk to me.
Ava: So, is this last week's collection or last night's?
Julian: Mnh, neither. It's everything I just poured down the drain.
Ava: You're kidding me.
Ava: Alexis agreed to dry out?
Julian: No, but she will. Mnh.
Ava: So, she doesn't know that you just dumped out all of her booze?
Ava: Oh, please, can I be here when she finds out?
Julian: Oh, come on, Ava, this is a serious issue. This has gone on for far too long. I emptied those bottles for her own good.
Ava: Oh, Julian. You didn't install yourself here to try to win Alexis back, did you? You want to save her.
Julian: [Sighs] Well, somebody has to. I mean, she refuses to admit that she's got any kind of problem. [Breathes deeply] And she needs some help, even if she can't admit it.
Ava: So, that's what this is -- a prelude to an intervention.
Julian: [Groans] Call it whatever you want.
Ava: Well, what about Alexis's daughters? Her friends? Do they know about your plan?
Julian: No, absolutely not. The only two people that know are us.
Ava: Julian, the only way you're gonna get Alexis to admit she has a problem is to expose it.
Julian: Okay, well, Alexis can't afford that. Okay? Because if anybody finds out that she's become dependent on alcohol or has been -- has been driving drunk, okay, or that she's the reason I'm in this cast and walking around with this cane... I mean, she's never gonna get her law license back.
Ava: Okay. I know that you think that you're helping her, but by keeping her drinking a secret, you're enabling her.
Ava: Julian, if running you over wasn't her rock bottom, God knows what she's gonna do next to destroy her life.
Franco: You just told me you talked to the police already.
Gene: And I'll tell you the same thing I told them -- I didn't see anything.
Franco: [Chuckles] Okay, but it's been a few days, right? So, maybe something else has occurred to you.
Gene: Nope. Nothing.
Franco: All right, look, I -- I get it. You know, people come in here and they pour their hearts out to you, and they suffer from this misconception that speaking to a bartender is the equivalent of talking to a priest in confession. So, just think of it this way -- think about all the great press you'll get for helping to exonerate an innocent man who just wants to be reunited with the woman he loves.
Gene: I have no interest in being famous. [Taps bar] Now, rich, on the other hand...
Franco: Okay, mm-hmm, fine. I'll just, uh, tell you what... it's all yours.
Gene: You can keep the Noodle Buddha card.
Franco: Thanks. So, um, now do you recall seeing Tom the night that he was killed, in your bar?
Gene: As a matter of fact, I do. He was sitting right there, drinking a vodka tonic.
Franco: Vodka tonic. Anything else?
Gene: Tom can't really drink. The lady friend he was with, man, she can pound them.
Franco: What? Wait, hold on. Lady friend? What lady friend?
Julian: I've got in under control. I -- trust me, I know how to get through to Alexis better than anyone.
Ava: Right. Riiiight. Just imagine how grateful she'll be once you've saved her from her alcohol-soaked life. Right? Maybe grateful enough to forgive you for trying to kill her?
Julian: Oh, come on, Ava! Gah! You know, I never meant to hurt her, okay? It wasn't supposed to go down like that. [Sighing] I mean, if it wasn't for...
Ava: What? If it wasn't for what? For me? For what?! Julian, after Alexis ran you down, I went to the hospital to see you. Remember?
Ava: And you told me that I was not the reason that you went back into the business. Did you mean that? What? Was there some other reason? Is there another reason that you held a knife to your wife's throat?
Julian: [Sighs] No. No, it's all on me. All of it.
Julian: Oh, excuse me. Hey. Hi, I wasn't expecting to hear from you.
Sam: Are you free?
Julian: Well, for you, yeah, of course.
Sam: Good. I need to see you right away.
Carly: Last night was not a mistake. And I'm sorry if I gave you that impression.
Sonny: No, I'm just trying to figure out where we stand.
Carly: [Sighs] Yeah. Me, too. I've been trying to do that for months, and... I still don't have an answer.
Sonny: There's no time frame.
Carly: I just want to do the right thing. I want to do the right thing for me, I want to do the right thing for us and our kids. I mean, they're watching every move we make, Sonny. And I don't want to jump back into a marriage if we're not sure that the ground underneath is solid. I mean, can you understand that?
Sonny: Oh, no. [Sighs] [Sighs]
Nelle: Good morning.
Sonny: Yeah, I do.
Franco: All right, so let me get this straight. Tom Baker came in here with a woman.
Gene: Mnh-mnh. I didn't say they came in together. She came in by herself. And I didn't get the impression they were too friendly.
Franco: Well, what does that mean?
Gene: Well, he was hitting on her.
Singer: Here with the echoes of the past
Tom: Hey, there.
Singer: I tried and tried to know them beyond my reach
Tom: We meet again.
Franco: Tom was hitting on her, and -- and what? How did she react?
Gene: She wasn't too into it.
Tom: I'm glad to see you again. Gives us a chance to finish what we started a while back.
Alexis: Get the hell away from me.
Tom: [Chuckles] What's your problem? Last time, you were a lot more friendly.
Alexis: I know who you are, and I know what you've done. Back off, or I'll call the cops.
Franco: Okay, so Tom's hitting on her and she's not into it and then -- then what happens?
Gene: She left.
Franco: She -- she just left? Alone?
Gene: Yeah, as far as I know. I turned around to answer the phone, and when I turned back, she was gone.
Franco: Okay. Wait, so, Tom -- Tom did not follow her?
Gene: No. He sat right there, nursed his drink and his bruised ego.
Tom: Come on. The night is young. You don't want to play rough already, do you?
Alexis: Enjoy your night alone. [Sighs]
Franco: All right. Okay, so, you're absolutely sure that Tom didn't go after her?
Gene: Yeah. That's all I know.
Franco: I think you know a little more than that. You know who the woman is.
Julian: Hey, Sam. Yeah, it's really good to hear from you.
Sam: Are you at Ava's? I'll meet you there.
Julian: Um, you know what? I, uh, have been kind of cooped up all day, so I'd really love to get out and get some fresh air. I'll tell you what -- why don't I meet you at the Metro Court and, um, I'll have Ava drop me off.
Sam: Yeah, sure, I'll -- I'm on my way now. Okay.
Jason: Mm, mnh-mnh. I'm coming with you.
Sam: No, you're not.
Jason: Yes, I am.
Sam: No, you're not. Julian is not gonna talk the same way if you're there. Besides, we're meeting at the Metro Court. It's a public place.
Jason: Look, I don't care how Julian's involved in all of this. That makes him not safe to be around. I don't want you there by yourself.
Sam: I -- I understand, but guess what? We need answers. So I will get them any way I can.
Jason: [Clears throat]
Sam: I love you.
Jason: Be safe. Love you, too.
Curtis: She is right, though.
Jason: You know what? Shut up.
Gene: I can't tell you who the woman is. I make a specific point of not learning my customers' names. Makes conversations like this easier.
Franco: All right, so, how did she pay? Did she pay with a credit card?
Gene: No. She stiffed me.
Franco: No kidding? So, um, what did she look like? How old was she? Did she have hair? What color hair did she have?
Gene: You know how many sad, washed-up people come through here every day? You think I want to commit any of them to memory? No, thanks.
Franco: All right. Well, if you do remember anything...
Gene: You're gonna need a much fatter wallet.
[Rock music plays]
Gene: Couple of vodka rocks?
Alexis: I thought you said you didn't know me?
Gene: [Chuckles] Contrary to what I tell strangers snooping around, I never forget a face. I know who you are. I know what you drink. And I know you were with Tom Baker the night he was murdered.
Michael: Question -- um... do you believe in -- in making New Year's resolutions?
Nelle: I already did. I'm gonna learn to play chess.
Michael: That -- that's it?
Nelle: Do you have a suggestion?
Michael: Learn to have fun.
Nelle: What are you talking about? I have fun all the time.
Michael: Okay. Okay.
Michael: I struck a nerve there. I see.
Nelle: What -- what about last night? Dancing at -- at New Year's, at midnight? That was -- that was fun!
Michael: Yes, if only you didn't insist on being home by 1:00 a.m.
Nelle: Well, if I'd have stayed out any later, I wouldn't have made it in to work today.
Michael: Okay, would it have been that big of a deal if you missed one day of work?
Nelle: Says the rich boy.
Michael: Hey, I work, too.
Nelle: [Breathes deeply] You know, Michael, I just... I have priorities... goals... plans I want to achieve. You know?
Michael: Okay, so, are these -- these plans so all-consuming they don't allow you any time to have fun? You really can't make this resolution? You're just gonna stick to chess?
Nelle: You think I can't resolve to have more fun?
Michael: I think you should do exactly that. And as far as resolutions go, this is a pretty easy one to keep. I mean...no gym memberships, no diets, and, uh... I'll coach you.
Nelle: In chess or fun?
Michael: Well, how about both? Hmm? Got a deal?
Michael: Okay. Well, hey, fair warning -- your first lesson starts tomorrow night. Okay? I'll see you then.
Carly: Sonny, please don't misunderstand me. You know, being here with you in our home, God, it feels so good. I miss you so much. And in the past 24 hours, things have become so clear, you know, as to why it's been so damn hard to mourn Morgan. It's because I've been trying to grieve on my own when I should have been grieving with you. And last night, we were able to comfort each other.
Sonny: I figure it was why we slept, you know, so well.
Carly: Yeah. I would love to go back to getting a good night's sleep every night. But, you know, it's not so easy, you know? It's not just packing my stuff and moving back in. I mean, if we were to move forward, and we were to build on what we have and... [Sighs] ...You were to break my trust in you again, I -- I don't know if I could handle that, Sonny. I think that would, um... that would kill me. I would be done. So, uh... [Sniffles] I mean, this is hard.
Sonny: Well, all I can say... is that won't happen.
Alexis: I don't know what you're talking about.
Gene: You. I'm talking about you. And the guy who was all up in your business, Tom Baker.
Alexis: Sorry, I still don't know what you're talking about.
Gene: Yeah, you were pretty trashed that night. But just now, I saw you dawdling over by the jukebox, listening to my conversation. And when I told that guy about the woman that Tom was with, you knew I was talking about you. And you waited till he left before you came forward.
Alexis: Well... that night was a little fuzzy.
Gene: Yeah. I take care of my regulars. As long as you don't stiff me again.
Alexis: I'm -- I'm sorry, I'll pay you back whatever I owe you, a-and then some.
Gene: Yeah. You heard what I told that guy, right? I covered for you.
Alexis: Uh, thank you. But you -- you didn't need to cover for me, because I left, and that guy Tom stayed. We both know that's not accurate, right?
Gene: We both know more than we're saying about that night Tom was murdered.
Julian: Happy New Year. You look, uh -- you look wonderful, sweetheart. How's the baby?
Sam: It's not really a topic I care to discuss at the moment.
Ava: Ah, well, delightful as always, Sam.
Ava: Enjoy your lunch.
Julian: Your Aunt Ava made a resolution to be nicer.
Sam: How many minutes did that last?
Julian: Well, maybe we should figure out what we want to order, huh?
Sam: No, no, no, I'm not eating. I told you on the phone I couldn't stay long.
Julian: Okay, well, then, I'll just appreciate whatever time I have with my daughter. I know it couldn't have been easy for you to call.
Sam: I, um -- I spoke to Mom yesterday.
Sam: Me and Jason, and she said that a guy that used to work with stuff at the house, thinking that you still live there -- a guy named Rudge? Does that ring any bells?
Jason: Do you know a man named Winston Rudge?
Alexis: Do I?
Jason: [Sighs] [Chuckles] You do. He owns a pawn shop on Van Ness. We know that he was here.
Alexis: How do you know that?
Sam: He'll explain that in a second.
Jason: This guy?
Alexis: Oh, yeah. Yeah, he was here. He wanted to talk to your father.
Julian: What about him?
Sam: Well, you see, I did my research, so I know the two of you were not co-workers. He owns a pawn shop. So you have never done business with him -- not legitimate business, anyway. So, why don't you tell me, Dad? What kind of trouble have you gotten into now?
Curtis: If this Buzz guy, right, did take off south for the winter, it could be months before he returns. And knowing now that Sonny is on to him, he may not ever return. What we need to focus on --
Jason: What -- what do you want to focus on? Other leads? You want to focus on a little toy boat? How 'bout a pawn shop owner who's on to us, he's living like a hermit, he's covering his tracks -- is that what you want to do?
Curtis: It's the best we got, man.
Jason: Yeah, and this is better than everything else we've got, so if you can't handle it, I got it. I will take care of this myself. You can go on home.
Curtis: Whoa, I'm not saying I want to leave, all right? A boy is dead for no reason, and my nephew seems to think that he's partly to blame. Now, the cops are looking in all the wrong places, which means it's up to us to get answers. Now, I will ladle soup, stuffing, and ham till the cows come home if that's what it takes.
Jason: Good. That's what I need from you. Keep your eyes open.
Buzz: Hello. Is it too late to get some food?
Sonny: This is a nice surprise.
Sonny: How was your, uh, New Year's Eve?
Michael: You know what? It was better than expected.
Sonny: Did you go out?
Michael: Yeah, I'll tell you all about it. But first, yeah, yeah, I went to the Metro Court for a meeting, and I thought we could share lunch.
Sonny: Well, it's kind of -- no, I already had kind of a late breakfast, but you go ahead. You go eat what you want.
Michael: That's a pretty classy setup for you and Max.
Sonny: Yeah, it just -- it wasn't Max. Uh, I had breakfast with your mother.
Carly: Happy New Year!
Nelle: Oh, you're here.
Carly: Yes, I'm sorry I'm so late.
Nelle: Well, didn't you get my messages?
Carly: I did, but you know, New Year's day is a busy day for the hotel, and I don't want to leave you and Olivia underwater.
Nelle: Oh, well, we're all good, you know? I specifically didn't schedule anything for later today just in case.
Carly: Just in case -- what?
Nelle: Just in case you found a way to start the New Year off right.
Carly: As it turns out, that's exactly what I did.
Buzz: Well, looks like you're starting to clean up. I guess I got here too late to eat, so...
Jason: Hey, hey, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait.
Curtis: Hey. Hey, hey, Jason, remember, do onto others... Hi, I'm Father Curtis. This is my altar boy, Jason. He gets a little excited sometimes.
Buzz: Isn't he a little too old to be an altar boy?
Curtis: Well, he's young at heart. Would you get our guest some soup, please?
Jason: You got it, Father. [Grumbles]
Curtis: Why don't we take a few minutes to get to know each other?
Buzz: Oh, uh, I'm not a real big talker. I usually just come for the soup and go, so...
Curtis: Can I, um, ask how you found yourself in these circumstances?
Buzz: What? Excuse me?
Curtis: Well, I mean, here at the church, we like to provide more than just a meal.
Jason: Yeah, if we knew a little bit more about you, maybe your skill set, we could point you in the right direction to get a job.
Curtis: Like, you look like you'd be good at mechanics.
Buzz: Well, done some repair work, sure.
Curtis: On cars?
Buzz: Look, I'm supposed to meet my social worker. So, I'll come back tomorrow --
Curtis: [Sternly] Sit down.
Buzz: What kind of priest are you?
Curtis: I'm the kind of priest that takes confession, Buzz.
Buzz: How'd you know my name?
Jason: Well, you know what they say -- God sees all. He knows all.
Curtis: It's time for you to confess your sins, Buzz.
Jason: And you can start with the murder of boy named Morgan Corinthos.
Julian: I'm not in any kind of mess, Sam.
Sam: [Chuckles] And I'm supposed to believe that based on your reputation for honesty?
Julian: [Sighs] I know Rudge. We've done business in the past, but not the kind you're suggesting.
Sam: Mm-hmm? Enlighten me.
Julian: Rudge runs a pawn shop, as you said. Every once in a while, he acquires some really unique stuff, some hard-to-come-by things, that's all.
Sam: Oh, so, hard-to-come-by meaning illegal?
Julian: No, not at all. Um, Rudge and I, we have an agreement. If he comes across any unique item, I gets the first right of refusal.
Sam: [Sighs] So, Rudge drops by unannounced to a place you haven't lived in since the summer, and I'm not supposed to be suspicious?
Julian: [Sighs] We do business a couple times a year, Sam. I probably never told him I moved, I mean...
Sam: And what kind of business? You -- you expect me to believe that just gets you, what, ancient tribal masks or something?
Julian: Look, if you don't want to believe that, don't. What I expect you to do, Sam, is back off.
Alexis: No, see, you are mistaken. It's like you said before. I left, and that guy, Tom, he stayed.
Gene: If that's what helps you sleep at night.
Alexis: I didn't see him after I left.
Gene: Yeah, I find that hard to believe.
Tom: Come on, baby, the night is young. You don't want to play rough already, do you?
Alexis: Enjoy your night alone.
Gene: Hey! Hey, where are you going? You didn't pay!
Tom: That's all right. I'll go get her.
Gene: There's no way Tom didn't catch you. He was moving quick, and you were stumbling around drunk.
[Rock music plays]
Alexis: [Breathes deeply]
Tom: Hey, beautiful. What's your hurry?
Gene: Tom never came back. Which means you owe me for both those tabs -- 60 bucks.
Gene: And as a reminder, most of that was yours.
Alexis: [Sighs] Keep it. [Sighs]
Franco: Thirsty much?
Michael: Mom was here?
Sonny: Yeah, she was.
Michael: Just for breakfast?
Sonny: [Sighs] There's some leftover food, if you want any bread, and there's a little bit of fruit.
Michael: 'Cause -- 'cause -- 'cause -- I ran into Mom last night at the Metro Court. She said she had no special plans for New Year's Eve, that she was just gonna keep busy with work. She left. She never came back.
Sonny: Uh, your mom just stopped by to see me, Mike.
Michael: Did she stay over, spend the night?
Sonny: [Chuckles] Wha-- let's just say that your mom and I we're -- we're -- I think, you know, things are looking pretty good.
Michael: Okay. I'm... [Chuckles] I'm very happy to hear that, Dad. I appreciate that.
Sonny: What about you? Who'd you ring in the New Year with?
Michael: Um, there's not much to tell. I just spent it with a friend.
Sonny: Ohh? And who is this friend?
Michael: It's, uh, Nelle.
Carly: So, it was actually my talk with you and Michael, and then...a, you know, small, little talk with Sam. But I'm gonna credit you with telling me that I needed to make something of my New Year's Eve.
Nelle: Did you go to another party, or find a place to enjoy yourself where you weren't working?
Carly: I went to Sonny's. And we had a bit of a breakthrough.
Nelle: Oh my God, I am so happy for you! Wait, are you -- you're happy, right?
Carly: I think I am, yeah. I...
Nelle: So, I mean, what does this mean? Like, are you guys gonna get back together?
Carly: We haven't made any commitments or decisions except that we're gonna keep talking, but, yeah, I -- I think we're gonna make it.
Franco: Never pictured you as the roadhouse type.
Alexis: I don't really care how you picture me.
Franco: Have you been here the whole time?
Alexis: I don't ha-- I'm not going to exp--
Franco: You okay? You seem a little discombobulated.
Alexis: Maybe it's because I'm having a conversation with you.
Franco: Okay. Well, I'll leave you to it. Enjoy your time tonight. But what are -- what are you having over there?
Franco: No? That's not your drink?
Alexis: No. It's not my drink.
Franco: It's not your stool?
Alexis: No, I'm not a customer here. I got lost, and I came in here for directions.
Franco: You got lost? You're the only person in the world that doesn't have a GPS on your cell phone?
Alexis: My battery's dead. Is there any reason for this interrogation?
Franco: I asked if you've got GPS on your cell phone. It's not an interrogation.
Alexis: Don't approach me again.
Franco: What do you want to bet this is vodka?
Sam: You've got some sleazy guy hanging around at my mom's house, and you're telling me to back off?
Julian: Okay, look. I know you and Jason are investigating the car bomb. You think I did it, and that I framed Sonny, right?
Sam: No, I -- I -- I think you know a lot more than what you're saying.
Julian: Well, I certainly didn't plant that bomb in my own car. [Sighs] Somebody wants me dead, and may very well be planning another attack. So please, Sam, I'm begging you, just stay out of it, okay? For your sake and your baby's sake, you have got to stop asking questions.
Sam: Wait, wait, what are doing?
Julian: Stop asking questions.
Sam: You're throwing the family card in here now? You're acting like you're coming from a place of concern?!
Julian: Well, we're family. You're my daughter, and I love you.
Sam: Prove it. Tell me the truth.
Singer: Keep asking if there's still time
Julian: Look, the deeper you dig, the more you know, the greater the danger to you, Danny, and the baby. So just please, Sam, stay out of it.
Buzz: You can't just keep me here. This is false imprisonment.
Jason: You want us to call the cops? I can call the cops.
Curtis: I'd be happy to, actually. The commissioner is a good friend of mine.
Buzz: No, don't. Don't. Please.
Jason: Sit down. Look... we're not interested in causing you any trouble. We know you didn't plant that bomb all by yourself.
Curtis: Somebody paid you to plant that bomb, didn't they?
Buzz: What happens to me if I tell you?
Jason: I think a better question is what happens to you if you don't.
Buzz: I had no idea I was planting a bomb. They told me it was a tracking device. Gave me 50 bucks to attach it to that car.
Curtis: Who? Who gave you 50 bucks?
Buzz: He didn't tell me his name.
Curtis: [Sighs] Was it him?
Buzz: Mnh-mnh, no.
Jason: What about him?
Buzz: Yeah. That's the guy.
Curtis: I need you to tell me everything he told you about the job.
Buzz: Not much, I mean that's the guy who paid me. But he's not really the one calling the shots.
Carly: Enough about my New Year's Eve. What about yours? Did you and Michael have a good time?
Nelle: Yes, it was nice.
Carly: It was nice? Okay, I can't help but notice how well you and my son get along.
Nelle: We make very good friends, yes.
Carly: Okay, all right, well, I just want you to know that if you guys choose to be more than just very good friends, I am totally okay with that.
Nelle: Well, I certainly appreciate that, Carly, but, um, it's not gonna happen.
Carly: Oh. Is Michael not interested?
Nelle: I'm not available. There's, um -- there's already somebody in my life.
Sonny: I'm surprised that you spent the New Year's Eve with Nelle. I mean, I was under the impression that you weren't going to push it with her.
Michael: No, I told you, we went as friends, you know? Besides, that's -- that's all I can handle at the moment.
Sonny: Well, I'm glad you realize that, 'cause it's way too soon for you to, you know, have a rebound relationship, especially with somebody like her.
Michael: I -- I -- I -- I know. I agree. Uh, still, it was -- it was nice to ring in the New Year with her. There's, uh... there's something about Nelle, you know?
Curtis: So, Rudge ain't even the boss?
Jason: He answers to someone?
Buzz: One day, I went looking for Rudge at his pawn shop.
Jason: Why'd you do that?
Buzz: When I heard about the car bomb, I realized I'd been suckered into helping someone commit murder. Oh, I was so angry. I think I went there to kill Rudge. I'm already homeless. What did I have to lose?
Curtis: But you didn't hurt him. Why not?
Buzz: When I got there, Rudge was there with his boss. She -- she's no joke. I was lucky to leave with my life.
Jason: Wait a second, I'm sorry. Rudge's boss is a woman?
Ava: Where's my brother?
Sam: He -- he called a cab. He's probably back at your place by now.
Ava: [Chuckles] It's just like him to leave without me.
Sam: Ava, wait. How is Julian doing?
Ava: You just met with him. You didn't bother to ask?
Sam: No, I know. Um, we had other business to discuss.
Ava: Well, the physical therapy is going well. He should be done with that cane soon. All he talks about is healing and fixing his relationships with Alexis and his kids. He actually believes he's gonna win you all back one day. Crazy, huh?
Franco: Hey, Pops, it's me. Listen, I was hoping we could get together. I'm thinking maybe we meet at Gene's Branford Roadhouse. Yes, that is where Tom Baker was murdered. If we're gonna prove to the world that I'm innocent, this is where we're gonna have to start.
Alexis: [Breathing heavily]
Tom: How 'bout we go someplace cozy, like the, uh, motel across the street?
Alexis: Leave me alone.
Tom: Hey, hey, hey, be nice. Or I won't be.
Alexis: I had a full bottle in there. [Slams cabinet doors] What the hell did you do with it, Julian? [Panting] [Groans] What did you do with it?
Julian: Nice to see you, too.
Alexis: I had a full bottle of vodka.
Julian: What did I do with what?
Alexis: What did you do with it?
Julian: Oh, yes. Will you just relax? It's all over here. Right here for you. There you go. Not that it's gonna do you any good.
[Empty bottles clatter on the floor]
On the next "General Hospital" --
Dillon (to Kiki): You kissed me. Did that change anything for you?
Laura (to Elizabeth): Everyone deserves a second chance.
Scott (to Franco): Where were you the night of the murder?
Jason (to Buzz): Are you trying to tell me that there's a way into the shop from underground?
Julian (to Alexis): I'm trying to stop you from killing yourself.
Rudge (to Olivia): I'm afraid I have some more bad news.
