Patrick: Everything looks good. Pupils are equal and reactive, which is a good sign.

Hayden: So, I can be discharged?

Patrick: Yeah, as long as your labs don't show any other complications, it looks that way.

Hayden: Oh, great. I can't wait to get out of here.

Patrick: I don't blame you, but you're gonna have to stick in town for the remainder of your outpatient treatment. And if you don't mind me asking -- I know you don't have any family or friends, but do you have somebody that's gonna be taking care of you?

Hayden: Yeah, yeah. Someone's taking me in.

[Nikolas walks in]

Elizabeth: [Sighs]

Jason: Nikolas stole the company. After that, I went to Michael, told him I'd help him get it back, and a couple days later, we brought Sam into the mix.

Elizabeth: To do what?

Jason: To look into Nikolas' dealings, try to find some weaknesses, scare up some leverage that we can use against him.

Elizabeth: Did you find anything?

Jason: Hayden, before she was shot, she said that she wasn't the only person to know who I really am. There was someone else, and since Hayden was living with Nikolas, Sam and I thought, well, maybe he is someone else.

Jason: Hey. Whoa, whoa.

Carly: Oh, gosh.

Jason: [Laughing] Sorry.

Carly: No, no, I'm sorry.

Jason: I just -- the guard at the door let me in.

Carly: That's okay. You just scared me a little. That's all.

Jason: You're sure that's it? You seem a little agitated.

Carly: One of Jerome's men was killed, and of course, the press is trying to pin it on Sonny, like, you know, he causes every crime that's committed in this town.

Nathan: Little early for the style column, isn't it?

Maxie: Bite your tongue. I do have other worldly interests, thank you very much.

Nathan: Celebrity dirt, then?

Maxie: In a sense. It's the case you guys caught yesterday, the one that had Valerie so concerned, she threw herself onto Dante.

Dante: Oh, thanks.

Lulu: What do you think? Did Sonny have that guy killed?

Dante: I don't think so. Sonny's a little more discreet and efficient. Mind you, his enforcer is behind bars. Maybe it's the best he could manage.

Lulu: Mm, I know this sounds awful, but I'm kind of glad it was all over before you and Nathan got there. One less firefight for you to be involved with is a blessing. I just don't want to risk losing you.

Dillon: Valerie?

Valerie: Dillon. Is it 8:00 already? Uh, just give me one sec while I deal with all this.

Dillon: It's no big. It's only breakfast. Unless they have a run on pancakes, I think we'll be fine.

Valerie: Oh, I lost track of time.

Dillon: Be honest. You slept right through your alarm, didn't you?

Valerie: As you can see, I've been up for hours.

Dillon: Yeah, you mind me asking what's going on?

Valerie: Yeah, I have to find a new place to stay. Nikolas is moving in some other woman.

Nikolas: I've invited Hayden to recuperate at Wyndemere.

Patrick: That's right. You two know each other from before, right?

Hayden: Yeah, so he tells me. Not that I remember, but if you can't trust a prince, who can you trust, right?

Nikolas: Not to worry. Hayden and I go way back. I'll make sure to take care of her.

[Doorbell rings]

Elizabeth: Hi.

Sam: Hey, hi. Um, I hope we're not too early.

Carly: Not that you need a reason, but what brings you here?

Jason: Um, I wanted to ask you something.

Carly: Oh, ask away.

Lucas: Has anybody seen the lab reports for Hayden Barnes? They should have been dropped off by now. I need to go over them before her discharge.

Brad: They're right here. Personal delivery.

Lucas: Thanks.

Brad: Unh-unh, not so fast. First, we're gonna talk about what's going on between us, then you can give Miss Barnes the once-over.

Nikolas: You were staying with me when you were shot, and all your clothes are still in your room at Wyndemere. I'm having my assistant bring you something to wear.

Hayden: I hope I wasn't a fan of off-the-rack.

Nikolas: No, no, you definitely have expensive tastes.

Hayden: It'd be nice if I didn't have to take your word for it. How long until my memory comes back?

Patrick: Uh, that's a little hard to tell. You suffered a traumatic injury. Your brain is still healing.

Nikolas: I can assure you that Wyndemere has all the necessary resources to take care of Hayden during her convalescence.

Patrick: Yeah, not that you couldn't afford it before. You definitely can now after taking over Michael's company.

[Knock on door, door opens]

Patrick: Look at that. There's your partner in crime.

Dillon: So, why are you moving out? It's not like there isn't plenty of space here. Just because Nikolas is moving somebody else in doesn't mean that you need to move out.

Valerie: Oh, it's not about the room. It's about the house guest, Hayden Barnes.

Dillon: I've never heard of her.

Valerie: Be grateful. Actually, I've been thinking of moving for a while now.

Dillon: Island life isn't cutting it for you?

Valerie: Yeah, I've been trying to keep a low profile ever since Nikolas stole ELQ from your family.

Dillon: The Quartermaines would hate losing control of ELQ under any circumstances, but what Nikolas did? You didn't know him before. Nikolas was a different guy. He was in love with my cousin, Emily, absolutely devoted to her. We considered him family. For him to spit on her memory and turn around and steal from us is... an absolute betrayal.

Valerie: The woman he's bringing in is nearly as bad. Truthfully, I should have listened when people told me to pack up weeks ago.

Dillon: So, what are you gonna do now? It's not like you can crash at Dante and Lulu's anymore.

Dante: I'm not going anywhere. As for Sonny, I think this is the first time we can actually say that his hands are clean.

Lulu: Well, yeah, but Sonny's still a suspect.

Dante: Yeah, of course, he is. Commissioner hates him. She can't stand that her son is living with him. She'd pin anything on him if she could find evidence to back it up. But I don't understand. I thought Sonny was the one who asked us to bring these guys in. He gains nothing from killing them.

Lulu: So, do you think the rumors are true? Are the Jeromes still a threat?

Elizabeth: Come in, please.

Sam: Yes, thank you.

Elizabeth: Um... Come in.

Sam: Hey, Danny, you remember Miss Webber, don't you? Yeah? It's, um, Aiden and Cam's mom. We had Thanksgiving here last year.

Elizabeth: Hi, Danny.

Danny: Hi.

Elizabeth: It's nice to see you again.

Sam: I can't thank you enough. It really means a lot to me that little Jake and Danny know each other as family. And I know it would mean a lot to Jason, too.

Elizabeth: Let me go get Jake, and then you guys can meet, okay?

Sam: Okay. [Chuckles] I think you're gonna have fun here. [Sighs]

Carly: That's an engagement ring.

Jason: You're very perceptive. Yes, engagement ring.

Carly: Who's it for?

Jason: For Elizabeth, of course.

Carly: Oh, I see.

Jason: Do you -- what do you think?

Carly: I think you're making a big mistake.

Jason: I was referring to the ring.

Carly: Oh! Uh, it's lovely. It's -- it's beautiful.

Jason: Yeah, it's lovely. Okay, why am I making a mistake?

Carly: [Chuckles] Oh, I don't know. Uh, Sonny and I have been married four times. It might not work out. Maybe you and me?

Jason: Aside from keeping me as your back-up plan --

Carly: I think it's too soon for you to ask Elizabeth to marry you.

Jason: Well, I already asked her.

Lucas: Brad, this isn't funny. We're professionals. Stop it.

Brad: You think this is fun for me?

Lucas: Yeah, I don't know. Apparently, I don't know you at all.

Brad: Okay, that is not true. I told you something I never told anyone else... except for Felix.

Lucas: I'm sorry, what was that?

Brad: The -- the point is, okay, I told you because I wanted us to work it through, to have a future together. But we're not gonna have a chance if you won't talk to me. I mean, it's been days since you've been home.

Lucas: Oh, I'm sorry, Brad. I've had a lot on my mind. You know, my -- my fiancé just told me he's already married.

Brad: Then let's hash it out, okay? You don't have to pull any punches. to me.

Lucas: You know, I doubt Dr. Obrecht would look too kindly on you using patient information as leverage in our personal dispute.

Brad: Well, you're not giving me a lot of options here.

Lucas: Well...

Brad: Okay? Wait, fine. Promise me, once you're done with Hayden Barnes, we'll talk. I'll explain everything. Nothing held back. Promise.

Lucas: Fine.

Dante: I can't even begin to know what Julian Jerome's end-game is. The guy keeps insisting that he's out of the business for good.

Lulu: Well, yeah, but he's lied about that before.

Dante: That's why I'm glad my mother and my little brother are far away from him. It's not safe for them to come back until I know what's what.

Lulu: I know you miss them.

Dante: I do. But I can't even risk going to see them. Julian has to keep believing that his son is dead. Just -- I don't like thinking about my mother being out there alone.

Lulu: Just because you can't see her doesn't mean that she's alone. She has Ned and Brook Lynn to support her.

Dante: I know. But I want to see how she's doing for myself.

Lulu: [Sighs] Oh, my God. I am -- I'm late. I'm so sorry. I have to text them.

Dante: Late for what?

Lulu: Uh, for work.

Dante: Work? What are you talking about? Lulu, the club doesn't open for eight hours. You have all the time in the world.

Lulu: Um... actually, the Haunted Star's gonna be bringing in some extra income.

Dante: What do you mean?

Lulu: I'm going into business with...Dillon.

Valerie: I'm not a charity case, you know.

Dillon: [Chuckles]

Valerie: I've got a pretty good job at the PCPD, so my plan is to get my own place. Until then, I'll stay with Carly, so Dante and Lulu don't have to worry about me showing up on their doorstep.

Dillon: Why does that keep happening? It seems like every time we're alone, at least one of us brings up the topic of Dante and Lulu.

Valerie: I guess it makes sense. We all...know each other.

Dillon: Right.

Valerie: I'd say we should ignore them, but...I work with 1/2 of that couple.

Dillon: That makes two of us.

Nathan: I thought you were gonna take it easy on Valerie from now on.

Maxie: I know, but you should have seen her last night, practically fainting with concern over Dante.

Nathan: Well, they're friends. Dante shows up covered in blood. I mean, she'd be pretty unfeeling if she wasn't concerned, right?

Maxie: Okay, you're right. God, grant me the wisdom to accept long-lost cousins of best friends I cannot change.

Nathan: Is that how that saying goes?

Maxie: Look, I told Valerie that I would bury the hatchet. I can at least do that.

Nathan: And when did you and Valerie discuss burying hatchets?

Maxie: Right after I called her a home-wrecking bitch.

Nathan: Uh-huh.

Maxie: Mm.

Hayden: I'm picking up a little tension here.

Patrick: It's fine.

Nikolas: I think what Patrick is trying to say is that he's trying not to let his current personal opinion of me affect his relationship with one of his patients.

Hayden: It's okay. Why did you call her one of his partners in crime?

Nikolas: Hayden, this is Rosalie Martinez, my executive assistant.

Hayden: The one with the clothes.

Rosalie: Yeah, yeah, that's how I list myself on LinkedIn. Anyway, I brought you some options with some accessories for you to choose from.

Hayden: Great, I can't wait to get out of this hospital gown.

Lucas: Well, then, you'll be glad to hear that all your labs look great.

Hayden: Which means?

Lucas: You get to blow this pop stand.

Hayden: [Sighs]

Lucas: Congratulations.

Hayden: Thank you. And thank you. As soon as I get my memory back, I will not be your problem anymore.

Carly: I take it Elizabeth said yes.

Jason: She did, yes.

Carly: Then I wish you all the happiness.

Jason: Mm-hmm. You sure about that?

Carly: Yes, if Elizabeth is who you want to spend the rest of your life with --

Jason: She is.

Carly: You sure you're not confusing gratitude with love?

Jason: Not a chance.

Carly: [Sighs] Okay, all right. Congratulations. Elizabeth is very fortunate.

Jason: Uh, actually, I'm the fortunate one. I was keeping a secret from her, and she forgave me without a second thought.

Carly: What secret? You brought it up, so you have to tell me.

Jason: Fine, if you have to know, it's about Sam.

Sam: Danny, look. That's your daddy. [Chuckles] You guys look exactly alike. Oh, here we go. Ready to say hi?

Elizabeth: Okay. Here he is.

Sam: [Chuckles]

Elizabeth: Jake, this is Danny.

Sam: Remember, I told you about him? He's your big brother. You two have the same daddy.

Jake: I have two dads. One is named Lucky. He had to leave. The other's Jason. He died.

Elizabeth: Right, and... [Sighs] ...Little Danny is also Jason's son, and that makes you guys brothers.

Sam: Yeah, I really wanted you guys to meet. I hope you can be as good a big brother as you are to Cam and Aiden to Danny.

Elizabeth: Look what he has in his hand.

Jake: Cool.

Elizabeth: Want to go look at it?

Sam: You guys should go play with your toys. [Chuckles]

Carly: You and Sam?

Jason: No! No, not like that.

Carly: Okay, I get it. I get it.

Jason: Wait, wait.

Carly: I can see why you would be attracted to her.

Jason: Please stop. Just --

Carly: The appeal. I can.

Jason: P-put on the brakes, please. Nothing -- I repeat, nothing has happened between me and Sam. I don't even look at her in that way. That's ridiculous.

Carly: You don't?

Jason: No, I -- we -- we work together. That's it.

Carly: You work together? Doing what?

Jason: Well, trying to get ELQ back for Michael, that's what.

Carly: You're working for Michael?

Jason: Where do you think I got the money to buy the ring?

Carly: I don't know. I-I -- I-I don't understand. If you're working with Sam, why can't you tell Elizabeth that?

Jason: Because we're trying to find some leverage to use against Nikolas.

Carly: What kind of leverage?

Jason: We want to blackmail him into giving back ELQ.

Carly: Excellent. That is the least of what that snake deserves.

Jason: He and Elizabeth are very close, and I didn't want to put her in a position where she had to choose between us.

Carly: Elizabeth would never choose Nikolas over you.

Jason: That's pretty much what she said when I confessed.

Carly: Okay, the more important question -- did you find any information about Nikolas?

Jason: [Sighs] Well, we did find out there's something very weird going on between him and Aiden.

Nikolas: You look lovely.

Hayden: Thank you. What is that?

Patrick: That is a wheelchair. That is hospital policy. Anybody that's discharged from the hospital has to roll out on one of those.

Hayden: Why? I-I'm fine.

Rosalie: Didn't you hear the part where he said it was hospital policy? Come on. We just got to go down the elevator and out to the curb.

Patrick: You'd be doing me a favor. If not, I'm gonna have to listen to the chief of staff about not following procedure.

Lucas: Oh.

Hayden: [Sighs] Let's go. Thank you for taking such good care of me, Dr. Drake. And you, too, Dr. Jones.

Lucas: It's always nice to have a success story.

Patrick: And we'll see you in a few days for the follow-up.

Hayden: Great. I can't wait to get outside.

Nikolas: Uh, I have this. Rosalie, will you make sure that the hospital has my current information? I'll be taking care of Hayden's medical bills.

Rosalie: Are you sure?

Nikolas: I am. She and I have a lot of catching up to do, don't we?

Carly: Okay. Hayden Barnes is awake? Way to bury the lead.

Jason: I'm sorry. I thought you knew.

Carly: No, I didn't. This is huge, Jake. She knows who you really are.

Jason: Yes, well, the woman had been shot in the head. Her memory has been compromised. She actually woke up thinking that, uh... [Laughs] ...We were married.

Carly: You got to be kidding me.

Jason: No, I'm not kidding, and I am uniquely qualified to sympathize with her. I don't even know my own name.

Carly: Mm-hmm. And now she claims that she doesn't know anything about your past?

Jason: Alas, my past is still a mystery.

Carly: And you're still going through with this engagement to Elizabeth?

Jason: Yeah, that's the ring, which you have yet to comment on. Do you like the ring? Is it a good ring?

Carly: Marriage is a big deal! I just want to make sure that you have thought this through, okay? Hayden may have been a fraud, but you don't know. You may have a wife out there!

Sam: [Laughs] Okay, it's official. They both love motorcycles. They are definitely Jason's sons.

Elizabeth: Yes, they are.

Sam: Hey, I was -- I was thinking about our conversation in the chapel. Did you ever decide what to do about Jake's proposal?

Elizabeth: [Sighs]

Sam: Elizabeth...

Elizabeth: [Sighs] I said yes. I'm gonna be Jake's wife.

Sam: [Sighs]

Jason: Can't keep holding out for the possibility that we'll discover who I really am. I mean, and -- and even if I do, who's to say that I have a wife or a girlfriend? I mean, I might be a monk.

Carly: [Chuckling] I doubt that.

Jason: Maybe I'm --

Carly: [Laughs]

Jason: The point is, I-I can't walk away from what I have right now for something that might never happen. I want a future. I want a future with Elizabeth.

Carly: I get it. I do. You feel like you're in limbo, huh?

Jason: You know, I-I just got engaged, and I wanted to share the great news with my best friend, and this is -- this is what's happening here?

Carly: I'm your best friend?

Jason: Do you think I have a lot of other choices? I mean --

Carly: [Laughing] Oh, congratulations, best friend!

[Both laugh]

Nathan: You called Valerie a home-wrecking bitch?

Maxie: In fairness to me, I was under duress. You left me to go check on Nina, and I was stuck at the table with your mother -- your aunt -- I was with Madeline.

Nathan: Yeah, I know. I'm sorry. She was being really rude to you.

Maxie: Yeah, she got worse after you left. And Valerie showing up, that was just icing on the cake.

Nathan: Madeline has a tendency to bring out the worst in people.

Maxie: I know, right? Anyway, I had to make peace with her.

Nathan: W-with Madeline?

Maxie: No, with Valerie, so I extended an olive branch.

Nathan: After the bitch part?

Maxie: Look, logically, I know that Valerie did not do anything wrong. It was Dante that threw himself onto her lips. And even then, it was nothing more than a kiss.

[Nathan's flashback]

Dante: If I say anything more, I need to know that -this stays between us.

Nathan: Hey, of course, man. I wouldn't tell anybody, not even Maxie.

Dante: I cheated on my wife...

Maxie: What's with that face? What's wrong?

Dante: So, Dillon's shooting his movie at the Haunted Star?

Lulu: Only in the off-hours. If we have to close for a night shoot, he's going to double our average bar receipts.

Dante: Double. That's big talk for a kid who almost had to sell his soul to your brother for funding.

Lulu: Actually, his father came through for him. Paul is funding the entire thing in an attempt to get closer to Dillon.

Dante: Wow. How the other half lives.

Lulu: You don't have a problem with me working with Dillon? Right? This isn't like the situation with me and Johnny. I mean, it's similar in the fact that we'll be working together, but obviously, Dillon is not doing anything illegal.

Dante: True. I have no concerns about Dillon dragging you into anything criminal.

Lulu: I know that I caused a lot of problems for us by lying and taking off with him to save my brother, but I promise you. Dillon is just renting The Haunted Star. I was only thinking about the extra income and Rocco's education, keeping our other embryo in storage.

Dante: I trust you, Lulu.

Lulu: You do?

Dante: Yeah. If you can deal with me working with Valerie every day, I can find a way to deal with you working with Dillon every day.

Valerie: Wow. That's really nice of Lulu to let you use her boat like that.

Dillon: She's an old friend. It's all about relationships.

Valerie: [Chuckles] Now you sound like a stereotypical filmmaker... or like my friends in Pennsylvania used to think Hollywood types talked.

Dillon: Well, if that were the case, then I would be going on and on about how this room would be perfect for the scene where the two leads...

Valerie: The two leads what?

Dillon: Kiss.

Nikolas: [Clears throat]

Hayden: Don't mind us. I love a good show.

Rosalie: [Sighs] God, you'd think they'd make it easier for people to pay their bills.

Lucas: Hey, um, Dr. Drake? I was hoping you'd take a look at Mr. Linney's MRI and see if you think he's a candidate for gamma knife therapy.

Patrick: Yeah, of course.

Rosalie: Uh, Doctor? Hey.

Lucas: Yeah, hey. Uh, Rosalie, right?

Rosalie: Yes. Yeah, that's it. Um, sorry, I didn't get your name.

Lucas: Uh, I'm Dr. Jones. Hi.

Rosalie: Hi. Um, I'm just going through all of this billing for my boss, and it's really confusing. There's no way that you'd want to go down to the café with me and just help me go over it?

Lucas: Oh, well, I'm afraid I wouldn't be very much help. But don't worry. We have a patient advocate who can assist you, okay?

Rosalie: Um, uh, how about dinner, then, when you finish work? Just, you know, so all my bases are covered.

Lucas: Um... [Chuckles] I'm sorry. I'm, uh...

Rosalie: What?

Lucas: Uh...

Rosalie: Engaged? Gay? It's complicated?

Lucas: All of the above, actually.

Sam: You and Jake are engaged.

[Both chuckle]

Sam: Wow. Congratulations.

Elizabeth: [Sighs] Thank you.

Sam: You both have been through some really tough times. Lost a lot. I think it's really great that you managed to find each other.

Sonny: Don't let me interrupt the fun.

Carly: I was congratulating Jake. He and Elizabeth are getting married.

Sonny: Yeah? When?

Jason: Haven't set a date yet, but don't worry. We'll be after you guys. We're not gonna steal your thunder.

Carly: You better not. [Laughs]

Jason: I got to go, but thank you for the advice.

Carly: Any time.

Jason: Sonny, good to see you.

Sonny: Okay, we're gonna have -- [Sighs] We need to have a conversation about that.

Carly: Okay, can you not start, please?

Sonny: Can you just let me talk and just listen? Okay. Okay, that Jake guy is dangerous, and any time you're close to him, there's a physical risk. We both know that he planted that bomb on that boat. Could have killed a lot of people, including ourselves.

Carly: Not of his own free will.

Sonny: Okay, if you're gonna tell me that he didn't mean to hurt anybody, I believe you, but that doesn't change the fact that he's capable of killing quickly and efficiently. And you don't just acquire those skills by accident.

Carly: He's trying to start his life over, Sonny.

Sonny: Yeah, I know, with Elizabeth and her three beautiful children, but what could be further than what he used to be?

Carly: We don't know what he used to be.

Sonny: Oh, I do, and so do you, and so does he. Now, maybe not the details, but he knows he was violent. He knows he was deadly. And that kind of past comes back to get you!

Carly: Okay, so are you saying that I shouldn't be friends with him, because maybe, someday, someone will come back to pay him back for something he did that he doesn't remember doing?

Sonny: I can't tell you not to have friends or anything like that, but I'm saying they're gonna hit him where he's most vulnerable, and I know. They're gonna -- they're gonna hit him with the people that are close to him. And God bless Elizabeth and her children. I pray for them, but you're the mother of my children, including that beautiful little girl upstairs, and you know what? I don't want you to get caught in the blowback of Jake Doe's sins.

Carly: So, you don't want me to see him?

Sonny: [Sighs] It's not about -- I can't tell you not to see him, but I -- there's a risk. Whoever's looking out for him is gonna come back to get him. And I just want you to keep that in mind and be safe.

Carly: I will.

Sonny: You mean that, or just --

Carly: I do. I do. Hey. I hear you, okay? I hear you, and... I respect your concerns. I do.

Sonny: Good.

Carly: Okay, can we change the subject? Can we talk about something happy...

Sonny: Mm?

Carly: ...Like our wedding?

Sonny: Yeah?

Carly: Yeah.

Sonny: Are we on track?

Carly: Yes, it's gonna be perfect. It's gonna be -- well, I just feel bad, because not all couples, you know, have that.

Sonny: What are you talking -- who are you referring to, couples?

Carly: Well, my brother. I found out the whole story. His wedding plans have hit a snag. Brad's already married.

Rosalie: Well, that was a little swing and a miss.

Lucas: Yeah, uh...

Patrick: Jonesy, everything looks good.

Lucas: Thank you for your second opinion.

Patrick: Absolutely.

Lucas: The patient advocacy office is down --

Patrick: You know what? It's on my way. Why don't I take you? I can show you.

Rosalie: Great.

Patrick: Good.

Lucas: [Sighs]

Brad: [Sighs]

[Door slams closed]

Lucas: What do you want, Brad?

Brad: I love you, Lucas, and I'm not giving up on us without a fight. So I'm gonna tell you everything, and we are not leaving here until you hear me out.

Lucas: I don't know what you could say that would change anything at this point, Brad. I was ready to love, honor, and cherish you for the rest of my life.

Brad: I was ready to do the same for you.

Lucas: Well, that's too bad, 'cause you already promised those things to somebody else long before I came into the picture.

Brad: No, you don't understand. It's nothing like that.

Lucas: Then, what is it like? You're married. You already told me that.

Brad: I'm married to someone else, yes. But it was never out of love.

Sonny: Your brother Lucas' fiancé is already married?

Carly: Yeah, it's crazy, and I thought Brad was serious about Lucas.

Sonny: How is Lucas doing?

Carly: What do you think? He's devastated.

Sonny: Well, Lucas is your family, which means he's my family, so anybody messes with my family --

Carly: Would you stop? Do not joke.

Sonny: [Laughs]

Carly: This isn't funny.

Sonny: No, who says I'm joking?

Carly: Okay, since we're on the subject...

Sonny: Yeah.

Carly: ...Is there any part of this that's true?

Lulu: It's not like I have to be there every minute that Dillon is shooting. If you think about it, I'm actually gonna have more free time.

Dante: No, I don't have no problem with you working with Dillon.

Lulu: I should have known that you would understand. I'm so sorry. Just can't wait for this part to be over.

Dante: Which part is that?

Lulu: The part where we're tripping over our words, worried that we're gonna remind each other of what happened.

Dante: Then let's skip to the end.

Lulu: What?

Dante: You already said that you know what's gonna happen, right? We're gonna move past this, and we're gonna be happy together, right?

Lulu: Yeah, sounds like a good idea.

Dante: Then let's do that. Let's move past this once and for all. Deal?

Lulu: Deal.

Nikolas: Valerie, remember I told you that Hayden was coming to stay with us for a while? What's -- what's all this?

Valerie: Yeah, about that --

Hayden: Nikolas told me about you on the way over here, Valerie, but, um, who are you?

Dillon: Oh, Dillon Quartermaine. Valerie's moving out.

Nikolas: What?

Dillon: I guess she didn't want to live with a blackmailing thief who stole ELQ from its rightful owners.

Valerie: Thanks, Dillon. I can speak for myself.

Nikolas: This true?

Valerie: I wanted to thank you for your hospitality, but considering the circumstances, I think it's best I set out on my own.

Jake: Thanks for coming.

Sam: Thank you again for having us. It's incredible to know that little Jake and Danny are gonna grow up as brothers. I just -- I really wish Jason were here to see it.

[Door opens]

Jason: Hey -- oh. I'm sorry, I didn't know you had company. Hi. How are you?

Sam: Good.

Jason: Danny, look at you, man. It's good to see you.

Sam: We were just actually talking about you.

Elizabeth: We were?

Sam: Oh, yeah? Yeah, Elizabeth told me that you're engaged. Congratulations.

Jason: Yeah, we are. I'm pretty happy about that.

Elizabeth: Makes two of us.

[Both chuckle]

Sam: Oh, okay. Well, um, we should probably get going. Say goodbye to everyone.

Danny: Bye.

Jason: Bye.

Elizabeth Bye, baby.

Sam: Bye.

Jason: Good to see you guys. What do you got there?

Elizabeth Bye.

Jason: Hmm? Hmm? Hmm? [Chuckles]

Elizabeth [Sighs, chuckles]

Jason: Hi.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Jason: Hey, uh, got something for you here, buddy.

Elizabeth: What? You want to open it?

Jason: [Laughs]

Elizabeth: Come here! Let's see what it is! Open it up. Sorry. I opened that for you.

Jake: Cool!

Jason: You like it?

Elizabeth: Oh, that's awesome. Say thank you.

Jake: Thank you.

Jason: You're welcome. Of course.

Elizabeth: Go open it. I'm gonna have to keep an eye on you, make sure you don't spoil my boys.

Jason: Are you jealous? You don't have to be jealous. I got something for you, too.

Valerie: We were supposed to have breakfast. I wasn't expecting you to carry my luggage.

Dillon: Please, anything I can do to get you away from here. Hayden, right?

Hayden: Mm-hmm. I hope you know what you're getting yourself into.

Hayden: Well, I don't have any companies to steal -- that I know of, anyway, so I should be fine.

Nikolas: So, no need to drag things out. The launch is waiting.

Dillon: I've learned a few things in the movie business. You screw enough people over, and eventually, you're the one who ends up with a knife in your back. Can't wait till that happens to you.

[Door shuts]

Nathan: I'm not doing anything.

Maxie: Yes, you are. You're making that face that you make when you're upset about something, and you're trying not to let me know.

Nathan: No, I am upset because I think that Madeline is messing with Nina's mind, trying to make her think she's crazy again, and you just reminded me of it when you brought her up.

Maxie: I'm sorry. I'm sorry. You're dealing with so much, and here I am trying to unload other people's business on you, business that, quite frankly, I should be staying out of. [Sighs]

Nathan: I kind of like it when you get all passionate about people you care for. It's one of the reasons I love you.

Maxie: Yeah?

Nathan: Definitely.

Lulu: Please tell me that you will be careful working the murder case.

Dante: I will be careful. You, too, you know. I mean, the film industry can be pretty cutthroat.

Lulu: Oh, har-har.

[Knock on door]

Dante: [Sighs] Who could that be?

Lulu: No idea.

Dante: Rocco doesn't have a play date or anything, right?

Lulu: No.

Sonny: You know I don't discuss business with you, Carly.

Carly: I want to know if I should be worried, because that article makes it sound like the police are coming after you.

Sonny: Yeah, but you know what? It's just Julian. He's trying to deflect the attention away from him and onto me. That's why he put it in --

Carly: Be careful, please. Be careful. Because if Julian's still in the game, he has a vendetta against you, and I -- I don't want anything to happen to you. I don't want to lose you.

Sonny: Nothing's gonna happen to me. With you by my side, I got too much to live for.

Sam: Hi, there.

Patrick: Hey.

Sam: [Chuckles]

Patrick: Hey. So? So? How did it go at Danny and little Jake's meeting?

Sam: They were playing together in no time.

Patrick: That's amazing. It's so great.

Sam: I know. It was. It was really great seeing Jason's sons together.

Patrick: Good, good. I'm glad it worked out.

Sam: Yeah. Me, too. Oh, I-I got some interesting news while we were there.

Patrick: All right.

Sam: Jake and Elizabeth are engaged.

Patrick: So, she said yes.

Sam: Yeah.

Patrick: Wow. Well, that's -- that's great. Good for them.

Sam: Yeah. Yeah, it's good.

Elizabeth: [Exhales softly] Jake, it's beautiful. [Chuckles] But it's too much. I can't accept it.

Jason: Yes, you can. And you're worth it.

Jake: Can I show Cam and Aiden what I got?

Jason: Yeah, buddy, of course.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

Jason: You like it, don't you?

Elizabeth: I love it.

Jason: Yeah? [Grunts]

Elizabeth: [Sighs] [Chuckles]

Jason: Oops. [Chuckles]

Elizabeth: [Gasps] Oh, my gosh.

Jason: I love you.

[Telephone rings]

Elizabeth: Mm.

Jason: Mnh-mnh. Mnh-mnh. Let it ring.

Elizabeth: It could be the hospital.

Jason: Let it ring. O-okay. I'll, uh -- I'll go check on the kids. And I love you.

[Telephone continues ringing]

Elizabeth: I love you more.

Jason: [Chuckles]

Elizabeth: [Sighs] Hello?

Nikolas: Hey, it's me. So, I moved Hayden back into Wyndemere, keep an eye on her, make sure she doesn't remember anything.

Hayden: Yeah, I think I'll be very happy here.

[Vase shatters]

Lucas: I don't understand. You married somebody you don't love?

Brad: There are a lot of reasons why I got married. But love wasn't one of them.

Lucas: Okay, then, why the hell did you marry the guy?

Brad: I never said it was a guy.

[Door opens]

Lucas: What --

Rosalie: Brad?

Brad: Oh, my God.

Rosalie: What are you doing here?

Lucas: Wait a minute. You two know each other?

Brad: You could say that. Dude -- she's my wife.

On the next "General Hospital" --

Sonny: (to Jordan) You know who did it, and why.

Dante: (to Olivia) Where's my baby brother?

Julian: (to Alexis) I want to tear this weasel apart for hurting my son.

Brad: (to Lucas) Give me a chance, and I'll tell you everything.

Nikolas: (to Hayden) Can you tell me what you think you're remembering?

Elizabeth: (on phone) He cannot find out the truth.
