Waitress: Whenever you're ready, sir.
Duke: Oh. Thank you. That's all right. I was... just about to leave. [Sighs] Thank you.
Waitress: Mr. Lavery, this is too much.
Duke: No. I insist.
Waitress: Thank you so much.
Duke: I'm assuming you have seen this?
Anna: Yeah. Julian Jerome is a free man again.
Duke: Uh-huh. My question is what are you gonna do about it?
Alexis: I -- we can't.
Julian: What do you mean? I think we did, since we have several times over.
Alexis: You're a champ, and I'd love to stay and linger longer, but I-I -- we've been doing this since I've walked the door, so.
Julian: Still don't see the problem.
Alexis: I have to go to work.
Julian: Okay, you know what? If it wasn't for this pesky gunshot wound, I would drag you off to the bedroom right now.
Alexis: Yeah, well, your leg wasn't bothering you an hour ago.
Julian: Oh, is that so? Is that a challenge there, Couns--
Alexis: No, it is not a challenge because I have a full day in the courtroom tomorrow, so stay there.
Julian: All right. Fine. Fine, fine, fine. So, who's on the docket?
Alexis: For starters, I'm representing Nina Clay at her competency hearing.
Nathan: Yeah, thank you, Doctor. No, no, I-I agree with you. I don't think we should say anything to Nina about her competency hearing until we know how they'll rule.
[Telephone ringing in background]
Nathan: Yeah. Yeah, I'll be in touch.
Maxie: [Sighs] How am I ever gonna make this right?
Spinelli: [Sighs] Well, our sweet and energetic daughter has finally deigned to go to bed. Don't you think it's high time her parents did the same?
Dante: Yo, you hungry? Want to grab a bite at The Rib after our shift? [Clears throat] Yo, West, you with me?
Nathan: Yeah -- what? Huh?
Dante: You all right?
Nathan: Yeah, yeah. Um, I'm just thinking about my sister's hearing. I'm sorry. I know she, uh -- I know she kidnapped your sister.
Dante: She's not well, man. I can see that, and the courts will see that, too.
Dante: What the hell is he doing here?
Fluke: Dante, is that any way to greet your father-in-law?
Lucas: Am I late?
Nurse: By 28 seconds.
Nurse: I won't tell der kommissar if you won't.
Lucas: [Laughs] Thank you. You're a lifesaver. I have just spent the last hour wrangling my niece and her -- wait for it... boyfriend. [Sighs]
Nurse: Isn't she, like, 8?
Lucas: 10 but, yeah. And get this. She was only dating the old boyfriend to make the new one jealous. I swear it's like an episode of "Southwest General." I'm just glad I got her home when I did. I can't imagine what the fallout of that party would have been.
Nikolas: Lu -- Lucas. Please.
EMT: Dr. Jones.
Lucas: What do we got?
EMT: A 10-year-old male. Burns right side of body and face.
Nikolas: Please. Will you please help him?
EMT: Found unconscious, Glasgow coma scale 1/1/1. We're assisting ventilation. BP 90 over 50.
Lucas: He shows signs of smoke inhalation. We need to intubate him and place him on a ventilator immediately to stabilize his airway and support his lungs. Prepare the trauma room. We need to begin IV-fluid resuscitation. Trauma room one. Let's go. Let's move him.
Nikolas: I'm coming with you.
Lucas: Listen, handling the burns requires special prep. We both got to gown up.
Nikolas: Whatever. I just want to help my son.
Emma: Hey, did Spencer wake up yet?
Patrick: I don't think so, sweetheart.
Emma: Why not?
Patrick: Because he breathed in a lot of smoke, and he's unconscious.
Emma: I didn't get help fast enough, did I?
Patrick: No, no, no. You did everything right. You did your part to save Spencer, and now the doctors are gonna do the rest.
Emma: Daddy, is Spencer gonna be okay?
Patrick: Emma, come here.
Spinelli: What do you say, Maximista? You want to hit the hay?
Maxie: Ugh. Cease and desist.
Spinelli: [Scoffs] I'm sorry. Did you say "cease and desist"?
Maxie: You, me, hay?
Spinelli: Okay, you -- you misunderstand. I-I had no intention o-of -- of staying in your bed, okay? I -- I-it is clear to me that I am not welcome in your inner sanctum, so I just assumed that I'd be staying on the couch again tonight.
Maxie: Well, you assumed wrong.
Nathan: Hey, I got this.
Fluke: You should listen to your partner there, Dante. And you need help with that temper of yours. It's mystery to me why you're so angry at me. We used to get on like gangbusters, so to speak.
Dante: That's before you knocked me out, left me for dead in a basement with a rotting corpse and a bomb.
Fluke: Was that a problem for you? I thought you became a cop because you enjoyed a challenge.
Dante: Didn't expect one of those challenges to be my father-in-law trying to kill me.
Fluke: [Sighs] Yes, well, I'd thought I'd finally be rid of you and Lulu, but here you are. How disappointing.
Nathan: Give it a rest.
Fluke: I'm just stating the facts, Officer. And one of the facts is I'll probably get another shot at it -- to get rid of you and Lulu and that snot factory you call a son.
Lulu: He looks like an angel when he sleeps. You don't have to do that.
Tracy: I want to. I have to keep busy until Bobbie gets back to us about that aunt of yours. It's practically midnight, and we haven't heard a word from her.
Lulu: Considering I've gone my entire life not knowing that I had an Aunt Pat, I'm not surprised that it's taking a while to find her. Oh, my goodness. Look at this. Olivia can't pass a baby shop without picking something up.
Tracy: Well, at least Rocco has one attentive grandparent.
Lulu: Glad you're here. Dante's been working nights, and it is horrible just waiting to hear something.
Tracy: Well, you're the one that's keeping me sane, and besides, every time you bring Rocco to the house, Alice nabs him, so this is my turn to put all the love on him I can.
[Knock on door]
Lulu: [Gasps] Aunt Bobbie. I am so glad to see you.
Bobbie: Hey, I'm sorry I'm so late. I would have called, but the stupid phone of mine.
Tracy: Forget about the phone.
Tracy: Did you find anything out about pat?
Dante: What the hell did you just say to me?
Nathan: No, no, no.
Fluke: You should get your hearing checked.
Nathan: Hey, come on.
Fluke: The minute they let me out of here, you, my so-called daughter, and that ugly brat of yours will be the first three I visit.
Dante: You son of a bitch.
Nathan: Dante, come on.
Fluke: Whoa, whoa, whoa. Whoa.
Alexis: Well, technically, Nathan's family. I mean, it's bad enough finding out you're a Cassadine. I had to mitigate the damage somehow by helping him out with his sister.
Julian: Yeah, well, with all due respect, your prowess as an attorney, I hope they keep Nina Clay locked up forever. She kidnapped my niece.
Alexis: She's mentally ill, which is why she's been remanded to ShadyBrook.
Julian: So, there's no one else?
Alexis: No. I called everyone. No one wants to take the case.
Julian: Are they reluctant because of Sonny?
Alexis: And you. It's a lot taking on the Jeromes and the Corinthoses, and everyone, regardless of how many people they've pissed off or what they're mental state is, deserves a defense, right?
Julian: Yeah. I get that. More than anybody. Believe me. I just wish it didn't have to be you providing Nina's defense.
Alexis: Is this going to be an issue?
Julian: Not at all. God forbid, I would come between you and your work.
Alexis: Good. Uh, then in the spirit of full d-disclosure, I should tell you that the other person I'm representing in court tomorrow is Michael.
Alexis: Well, he goes by Michael Quartermaine these days, but yes.
Julian: So why would I care about him?
Alexis: Because he's seeking custody of your niece.
Anna: Well, it's nice to finally agree on something.
Duke: Jerome shouldn't be free to walk the streets.
Anna: I'm no longer commissioner. If you want to file a complaint, you should take it up with Sloane or Scott Baldwin.
Duke: Oh, you're being very cavalier about it.
Anna: I'm anything but. However, the matter is out of my hand.
Duke: So he's free to walk the streets. How long do you think it will be till he builds up his business again? Surely, the PCPD can do something about it.
Anna: He gave a false confession when it came to the whole Zacchara matter, so that's been pushed aside. And Luke Spencer was never actually a prisoner. Those charges have been dropped.
Duke: He runs a criminal organization.
Anna: Staring into... the Jerome crime family is in a shambles, and he's doing nothing to reassemble it.
Anna: Yet. Look, even I don't think that Sloane would stoop so low as to arrest someone for a crime he may or may not commit.
Duke: Well, if the authorities won't rein Jerome in, I'll just have to handle it myself.
Anna: Just stop right there. All right, I may no longer be commissioner, but I'm still in law enforcement. I'm a federal agent.
Duke: And very proud of it, obviously.
Anna: Yeah, well, my point is that if you make a statement threatening Jerome, all that does is implicate you.
Duke: What are you gonna do? Turn me in again?
Anna: I don't want to know anything about your world, Duke. Anything you say is potential evidence, and it would be remiss of me not to pursue it.
Duke: Mm, yeah
Anna: Maybe you should just leave.
Duke: All right.
Duke: You have yourself a nice evening, uh, Special Agent Devane.
[Cell phone ringing]
Patrick: Anna, I need a favor. Can you come and get Emma from the ER?
Anna: What's the matter? What happened? Is she okay?
Patrick: She's fine. Uh, there was an accident at Wyndemere during Spencer's birthday party, and Spencer's been hurt.
Lucas: ...Plus an I.V. Lr. I want some carboxyhemoglobin.
Nikolas: Why isn't he waking up?
Lucas: CBC, ABG.
Nikolas: Why isn't he waking up?!
Nurse: Excuse me, excuse me.
Nurse: You have to leave now. Excuse me. You're in the way.
Lucas: Nikolas, you need to step out and let us do our job if you care about your son.
Nurse: Mr. Cassadine, please.
Patrick: What's going on?
Nikolas: I don't -- I don't know. I really don't know. What -- Patrick, what was I thinking? Why didn't I just -- why didn't I go back there?
Patrick: Hey, Lucas knows what he's doing, okay? He's an excellent physician.
Patrick: Look, Anna's on her way to be with Emma. Stay with her until she gets here, and I'll go try and find out what's going on, okay?
Julian: So, you're helping Michael take my niece away from Sonny?
Alexis: The judge ordered a preliminary hearing. How do you feel about that?
[Cell phone ringing]
Julian: Who the hell's calling you so late?
Alexis: It's Nikolas. This must be important. Hey, what's up?
Nikolas: I'm at the hospital. I need you.
Spinelli: I must admit to some confusion. I-I thought you were comfortable with me on the couch. I slept there last night.
Maxie: Well, last night was an act of charity.
Spinelli: You took pity on me?
Maxie: Yeah. Because it was Valentine's Day, and it was late, and I wasn't gonna kick you out into the street so that you could run to Sam's, ruin whatever plan she had with Patrick.
Spinelli: The fair Samantha is dating Dr. Drake? I-I suppose that's not entirely a surprise. There is an aspect of symmetry when you think about Samantha --
Maxie: I know what you're doing, and it's not going to work.
Spinelli: Opining on the vagaries of the human heart?
Maxie: Changing the subject. Yes, I took pity on you, which is why I let you stay here last night. But now that you've said everything you needed to say to me...
Spinelli: That I want you back.
Maxie: Will you please stop saying that?
Spinelli: Actually, no, I won't.
Maxie: Okay. A-and that is exactly why you can't stay here.
Dante: No, no, no, no. I don't care.
Nathan: Easy, easy.
Dante: I don't care how sick you are, how twisted up your mind is, you don't threaten my wife and child, you got me?
Fluke: That's a double standard. You two were just saying that Nathan's sister didn't know what she was doing, because she's sick.
Nathan: Hey, bear in mind that I am the only thing keeping Dante from throwing you the beating you so richly deserve.
Fluke: Oh, Bensonhurst doesn't have it in him. He's all bark! No bite.
Dante: You try it. You try it. You go anywhere near my family -- go anywhere near my family, I will kill you, okay? I swear to God I'll rip you apart with my bare hands.
Diane: Can I get that in writing, Detective? Huh? Step away from my client.
Bobbie: I'm so sorry. I thought I had a lead on pat, but...
Lulu: But what happened?
Bobbie: [Sighs] Well... I tried reaching out to our old next-door neighbor, Colleen Middleton, 'cause she and Pat were very close back in the day, and I was hoping that maybe they stayed in touch, but, as it turns out, Mrs. Middleton passed away a few years ago.
Tracy: So, does anyone in your family have any idea where Pat is living?
Bobbie: Nobody's seen her in years. We're at a dead end, so I have no idea where Patricia could be.
Tracy: Okay. So, now it's time for you to tell us what you're not telling us.
Bobbie: What do you mean?
Tracy: People don't just lose their siblings. Something happens -- a tragedy, an argument. Something drove Pat away. Time to tell us what that was.
Julian: Hey, Alexis, call me when you get a moment, okay? I want to know how the little guy's doing. And, uh, tell Spencer I'm pulling for him, okay? [Sighs]
[Knock on door]
Julian: Lavery. What the hell are you doing here?
Duke: Oh, it's quite simple. I'm here to save you from yourself.
Anna: You're so brave, sweetheart.
Emma: The whole room was on fire.
Anna: Oh, that must have been so frightening. But you're safe now. You're okay. Hmm?
Emma: Mm. But what about Spencer? Is he gonna be okay?
Nurse: I've switched the IV to d5/lr. Would you like me to run it through a fluid warmer?
Lucas: Yes. Good idea. Thank you. Bring some warm blankets, too.
Lucas: Oh, Nurse did the pharmacy send the silver sulfadiazine yet?
Nurse: Yes, Doctor.
Lucas: Bring me some telfa, as well.
Alexis: Oh. It's okay. It's okay. It's okay.
Bobbie: I assure you, Tracy, I'm not hiding anything.
Tracy: Bobbie, there's something you're not telling us. Something happened in that house on Elm Street, something to make Pat get the hell out of dodge years ago.
Lulu: Aunt Bobbie, I know that you and my dad didn't have a happy childhood, and it must be difficult to talk about. We don't mean to pressure you, but it's the only lead we have.
Bobbie: [Sighs] Look, I really do wish that I could remember something, but I was so young when we left that house, and most of what I remember was actually just what Luke and Ruby told me.
Tracy: So tell us what you can.
Bobbie: Okay. [Sighs] I remember that my father drank...a lot. He was a rotten drunk. He was one to fight someone or hit someone. And Mom always did her best to keep him away from us. And Patricia -- she was the oldest. She took care of us. [Sighs] Right up until the day Mama died and Daddy took off.
Lulu: And then the three of you went to live with Aunt Ruby in Florida?
Bobbie: No, no, just Luke and me. Patricia didn't come to Florida with us.
Tracy: Why not?
Fluke: Ms. Miller, your reputation precedes you, and you do not disappoint. Your timing couldn't be better.
Dante: You show Diane the money, she'll do just about anything.
Diane: I received a desperate phone call from Mr. Spencer just several hours ago. Apparently, he is in need of representation.
Dante: Yeah. You hear that? As long as the check clears, she'll even quote you the constitution.
Diane: A paying client, no matter how abrasive, is still entitled to his rights.
Diane: Mr. Spencer's been held here for days now with arraignment, during which time, he was subjected to a medical procedure without his consent, without benefit of counsel. If that's not a violation of his constitutional rights, Detective, I just don't know what is.
Nathan: Why are you defending this man? Do you know what he's done?
Diane: I am aware of the charges, yes.
Nathan: And I thought you were one of the good guys.
Diane: Detective, providing a good defense is what a good guy does. We are all innocent until proven guilty. Now, I'm sorry if you and I don't happen to see eye to eye on that, but let's table this ethics discussion, shall we? Now you go have your boss release Mr. Spencer immediately.
Dante: No way. No way in hell.
Marie: Spinelli, you can't just waltz into my life and tell me that you have feelings for me.
Spinelli: In point of fact, I'm not much of a waltzer.
Maxie: I-I have a boyfriend.
Spinelli: You sure about that?
Maxie: Just because Nathan and I had a fight does not mean that we broke up or that we will ever break up.
Spinelli: All right, then I don't see the difficulty. If your mind's made up, having me on the couch shouldn't be a threat.
Maxie: I'm trying to be a more considerate person, in case you haven't noticed. And Nathan's mad at me enough already because of the whole Johnny situation. You staying here would not be fair. I-I-it -- it would give him th-the wrong idea, since you've already announced your intentions.
Spinelli: I was attempting relationship transparency.
Maxie: I don't know if I believe that. Shocking, I know. Because you used to be so sweet and honest, and I was the sneaky one, but now I don't know. What I do know is if you stay here, you will give Nathan the wrong idea. He'll think something's going on between us, so.
Spinelli: Be honest, Maxie. Are you worried that Nathan will think something will happen between us... ...or are you worried that something actually will?
Maxie: Excuse me?
Spinelli: I would speculate that your request to have me leave and sleep elsewhere has very little to do with any concern that you have for Nathan. You want me to leave because you reciprocate my feelings, and that casts doubt on your loyalty to Nathan.
Maxie: Wow. [Laughs] Wow. Okay, where was all this, uh, self-confidence when I was rejecting you for years?
Spinelli: I know you, Maximista, and I saw you at Kelly's earlier, when Nathan asked you to deny that you had feelings for me. You didn't convince him, and you surely didn't convince me. He told you to figure out which one of us you wanted. Now, I-I don't want to speak for you, but if the very thought of me being on your couch makes you so nervous...
Spinelli: ...Perhaps you've already figured out which one of us you want. You just haven't admitted it to yourself yet.
Nathan: No. There's no way Luke Spencer walks free.
Nathan: No -- he tried to kill 50 people on The Haunted Star. He assaulted and tried to kill a police officer. There are additional charges -- conspiracy, extortion, another count of attempted murder, in the shooting Dr. Lucas Jones.
Dante: Yeah, and on top of all that, he just threatened to kill me, my wife, who also happens to be his own daughter, and my son.
Diane: Detectives, this is not my first rodeo, all right? Yes, I am aware that my client is facing serious charges. He cannot simply be released. However, he does have the right to see a judge, at which point, I intend to ask for bail, and since he's been here way over the 48-hour period, I'm gonna ask you to arrange for a bail hearing immediately.
Bobbie: I never did find out why Pat didn't come with us to Florida. I guess I just assumed she was old enough to take care of herself.
Tracy: And that's it? Your older sister disappears from your life, and you never questioned it?
Bobbie: Yeah, well, you know, the story never sat right with me, but... [Sighs] Whenever I brought it up to Ruby, she changed the subject. And when I would bring Pat up to Luke, he would tell me to forget she ever existed.
Dante: It's midnight, Diane. Do you think there's any courts in session right now?
Diane: Fine. Well, it's settled, then. He will be arraigned bright and early tomorrow morning.
Diane: Let's say 9:00. I trust your illustrious DA and the new commissioner will handle all the details.
Nathan: Hmm? I'll make the call.
Fluke: What can I say, boys? She's worth every cent.
[Police radio chatter]
Nikolas: I shouldn't have left the kids alone. I-I-I should have been supervising them. I mean, there -- there were candles there. There were chafing dishes around me. Come on, how could I be such an idiot, Alexis?
Alexis: Spencer is 10 years old.
Nikolas: So what?
Alexis: He's old enough to be in the room next door to you with his friends. You did nothing wrong -- nothing. It was a tragic accident, and it's not your fault.
Nikolas: Emma said that he went back inside to get a -- to get the present that Sonny had left for him. She -- she said that he told her that he was trapped. I mean, my -- my God, he must have been terrified. Wondering -- [Sobs] -- Wondering when I was gonna come in and get him out from there. You know what I m--
Alexis: You did go in and get him.
Nikolas: No, I didn't.
Alexis: You saved him.
Nikolas: No, w-- but what if -- what if I didn't save him, Alexis? What if he doesn't make it? That boy is everything!
Alexis: Shh, shh, shh.
Nikolas: I can't lose him. I can't lose him. [Sobs]
Julian: How'd you even get up here?
Duke: Once your guard ascertained that I wasn't armed, it was pretty simple for me to convince him I just wanted to have a word with you.
Julian: Let me guess. You, uh, paid him off, huh? [Laughs] Remind me to fire him. So, let's have it, Lavery. You want to save me? Hell, I didn't even know you cared.
Duke: I don't. Ah. But Alexis has worked tirelessly on your behalf. I wouldn't like to see it all go for naught. You're a free man. You got a clean slate. This is your chance.
Julian: My chance? For, uh, what?
Duke: A fresh start.
Duke: Luke's been apprehend.
Duke: Carlos is in lock-up at PCPD.
Duke: Johnny Zacchara's on the run. And sadly, your sister is dead.
Duke: My condolences on that.
Julian: Shut up.
Duke: Your organization is in a shambles. You're the only one left on the inner circle. Just in case you're thinking about rebuilding, I thought I'd give you an opportunity to step away from our animosities. We can go our separate ways peacefully.
Julian: So, what's the catch?
Duke: You hand over all your territories to me.
Emma: Spencer saw flames. He pulled me out of the room. He saved me. He was so brave.
Anna: You were, too. You went and found an adult and got help. You're so smart and level-headed. I'm very proud of you.
Emma: I just hope we got here fast enough. Daddy always says it's so important. You have to get to the hospital right away if you're hurt.
Anna: Well, Spencer was lucky. You know, your father was there to help him.
Anna: And now he's in there with Dr. Jones, and he's not gonna let anything happen to Spencer.
Nikolas: How is he?
Maxie: [Sighs] you know what, Spinelli? You're right.
Spinelli: I am?
Maxie: You don't speak for me. You came back into town and totally disrupted my life, and instead of feeling bad about it, you're doing anything you can to ramp up the tension between Nathan and me.
Spinelli: Look, I simply wish to clarify our mutual feelings.
Maxie: Of course, I have feelings for you. You're the father of my child. And we've done everything together, everything that matters, since forever. But what you're doing to me now -- it's... [Sighs]
Maxie: It's unfair and unacceptable. [Scoffs] You need to go now.
Spinelli: Well, wh-what -- what about Georgie?
Maxie: I'm her mother. She'll be fine. You can see her in the morning.
Spinelli: Well, where am I supposed to go?
Maxie: Crash at Sam's.
Spinelli: Yeah, but Sam has a full house. It's her mother's --
Maxie: Stay at a motel.
Spinelli: What if there aren't any available?
Maxie: Spinelli, you're a genius. I'm sure you can figure it out. You can stay anywhere, just not here.
Spinelli: Okay. Fine. I'll go, but I'm not giving up on us. I know you want the three of us to be a family.
Maxie: [Slams door]
Nathan: [Sighs] Look, all right, it's all set. Luke will be arraigned first thing in the morning.
Diane: Excellent. And now if you don't mind, I would like a moment to confer privately with my client. I see the interrogation room is not in use.
Dante: Yeah, knock yourselves out. Please.
Nathan: Hey. Take it easy, huh? Sloane's on our back already. He'll take any excuse he can get to fire you. Besides, the best way to keep an eye on Luke is to stay here.
Dante: You know, there's always been an edge to Luke, a darkness. That's why he would always take off. So he could give in to it and not inflict it on his family, but this is different. This version of him -- it is vicious. I do not know what he's capable of, and I do not think Lulu realizes how dangerous her father is.
Lulu: So, you think my father actually knows what happened to Patricia?
Bobbie: Well, he could know, or he maybe he just resents her for abandoning us. I mean, you know how he can get.
Tracy: Well, he's not about to tell us because every time I try and ask him about Elm Street or his sister, the walls go up.
Lulu: And I couldn't find anything online.
Bobbie: So, that's it? We're at a dead end.
Lulu: Not necessarily. I have an idea.
Julian: So, you want to take over my family's territories, huh?
Duke: You don't have the resources to rebuild. Oh. I'm offering you an exit strategy here.
Julian: Do you have any idea how much I've sacrificed to build my business?
Duke: If it makes your feel any better, I'm not interested in Derek Wells Media. You can keep that. I only want your territories.
Julian: Well, you're not taking anything. I came back here to prove something, and I did. So I'm not gonna roll over and play dead just because things have gotten slightly more difficult.
Duke: So, you're still in the game? Mm-hmm. I wonder how Alexis will feel about that.
Julian: Well, that's between us. But if you thought I came out of this experience a kinder, gentler Julian Jerome, you're dead wrong. Sonny put you up to this?
Duke: I'm sure you've heard I'm the head of the Corinthos family.
Julian: Well, so then it's gonna be us, huh, just like old times?
Duke: Oh, yeah, just like old times. Except the only difference -- I'm gonna bury you.
Nikolas: How is he?
Patrick: He's stable.
Alexis: Thank God.
Patrick: Lucas is treating him for smoke inhalation.
Nikolas: Well, is he awake?
Patrick: Uh, no. Not yet. They've got him on morphine and midazolam drip for the pain, and he's ventilated right now, so it's actually better that he's sedated.
Nikolas: Well, what about the -- the burns?
Patrick: He's got severe burns on his right side.
Nikolas: Oh. Okay. Will you just -- will you please just tell me what he's facing here?
Patrick: I mean... with any burn, you get evaporative water loss. Now, this could lead to hypovolemia, which could cause organ failure. It could also lead to cold stress and hypothermia because of the evaporative heat loss. And again, with a burn, you're worried about infection and septic shock.
Nikolas: Okay. I-I-I need to get in there and see him.
Patrick: Come see him.
Diane: So, we are all clear about tomorrow morning?
Fluke: I am depending on you, Ms. Miller.
Fluke: And you don't want to find out what happens if I'm disappointed.
Dante: That's it. Time's up. Let's go.
Diane: Good. Yes, well, we were almost, um -- we're done. Anyway.
Dante: Good. Let's go.
Diane: No, no, no, no. No. You take him.
Nathan: All right. Come on.
Dante: Way to go, Diane. You know, just when I think you can't stoop any lower, you go ahead and you really surprise me.
Diane: Detective. There is something seriously wrong with your father-in-law...
Diane: ...And your anger isn't going to help either you or your family heal.
Luke: We've done everything we can to track down my Aunt Pat. Like Tracy said, my dad is not talking. I think it's time to bring in a professional.
Bobbie: You mean like private investigator?
Lulu: What could it hurt? They have access to all types of files.
Bobbie: Like genealogy.
Lulu: And driver's license, tax forms, photo registration, the kind of things that could give us an address. Okay.
Lulu: Okay. Um, I'll call Sam first thing in the morning.
Tracy: No! No, no, no, no, no, no. I'm all for farming this out but not to Sam. I was less than thrilled with the job she did tailing Luke to Amsterdam. She was way too distracted by her companion.
[Knock on door]
Tracy: Isn't that a little late for visitors?
Bobbie: Mm, yeah. Well, I agree with Lulu that we should hire a PI, so if not Sam, then Felicia. I will call her in the morning.
Tracy: No! God no. A world of no.
Bobbie: Well, then who?
Nathan: Take him to his cell.
Fluke: Detective West, we've never been formally introduced.
Nathan: Oh, no. I think we've covered our bases.
Fluke: You're the new Cassadine.
Nathan: Let me guess. You have a problem with the Cassadines.
Fluke: Well, let's just say your family and I go way back. Of course, recently, Helena and I have found common ground, but as for the rest of you, I have no use whatsoever.
Nathan: That another threat?
Fluke: I won't forget that you're the one that threw the wrench in the works the other night at Wyndemere. I suggest you teach your loved ones to sleep with one eye open.
Nikolas: How is he?
Lucas: We got him stabilized for now. We're gonna do a bronchoscopy to assess the damage to the lung tissue.
Nikolas: Can I have a few minutes alone with him?
Lucas: Of course.
Emma: Daddy, I'm so scared for Spencer.
Patrick: I know, sweetie. He's a very strong young boy, so he's gonna be okay. And they're doing everything they can for him in there. I'm gonna stay here with Spencer to make sure he's okay, and you're gonna go home with Grandma, okay?
Emma: Can we say a prayer for him first in the chapel?
Patrick: Yeah, of course we can. That's a good idea. Come on.
Duke: Anna. I heard about the fire in the news. How's Emma?
Anna: She's fine. She just went to the chapel with Patrick.
Duke: Oh, thank God.
Anna: Did you come all the way here just to check on her? Yes. Well, just because you and I aren't in each other's lives doesn't mean I'm ever gonna stop caring about you and your family.
Alexis: I'm sorry I had to run off like that.
Julian: Forget it. Now, how's Spencer?
Alexis: [Sighs] He's in serious condition.
Julian: I'm so sorry. How's Nikolas holding up?
Alexis: He's devastated. He's -- he's in there with him right now.
Nikolas: I love you. Listen, when you wake up... ...you're gonna be hurt... and confused... ...but you don't have to be afraid, okay? You don't have to be afraid 'cause everything's gonna be okay. I'm right here. I'm your father, and I love you... ...and I'm not going anywhere. [Sobs]
On the next "General Hospital" --
Silas: (to Nathan) You really think that Nina's ready to be released?
Nina: (to Franco) I'm not gonna abandon you.
Kiki: (to Morgan) Michael wants custody of Avery?
Michael: (to Alexis) I just want to make sure you're prepared to take my little sister away from Sonny.
Carly: (to Sonny) Spencer was in a fire.
Nikolas: (to Liesl, with Elizabeth) I don't want you anywhere near my son!
