Larry: Jerry, it's me. We have a problem.
Patrick: Son of a bitch. It's true. He's working with Jerry.
TJ: What's this about?
Shawn: It's about your father.
TJ: Okay. You want to explain that, or...?
TJ: Okay, now you guys are starting to freak me out. What's going on?
Jordan: TJ, there are things about your father that you don't know -- things -- things that we didn't tell you.
TJ: Like what?
Jordan: Like how he died.
Ms. Jacks, is it true you knew your ex-husband killed AJ Quartermaine?
How does your son with the deceased, Michael Corinthos, feel about all of this?
Carly: Don't talk about my son!
Diane: Carly, Carly, don't you say one word. Look, the whole "anything you say can be used against you" -- that still applies right here. The only thing more disastrous than this current situation would be for your words to go viral, influencing the jury's verdict...
Diane: ...And further antagonizing Baldwin. You got it?
Carly: I got it. I got it, okay? Where's my mom?
D.A. Baldwin, is it true Duke Lavery has been denied bail?
Scott: Your questions should be directed to my office.
Is the plan to get him to turn on Sonny Corinthos?
Scott: Thank you. Good night. Bailiff, please.
Bailiff: All right, everyone. Let's go. Time to move out.
Scott: Bobbie, how you holding up? Ohh!
[Camera shutters clicking]
Diane: You are going to be arraigned before Sonny, which means, Carly, that if you are polite, contrite, and, above all, silent, I may be able to get you released on bail.
Carly: Do you really think so?
Diane: You're not who they're after, Carly. You're simply the on-ramp to the true target.
Mr. Corinthos, are you nervous about whatever outcome may come in the courtroom today?
Mr. Corinthos, what are your plans after today?
[Camera shutters clicking]
Anna: Ava Jerome, this is police business. Ava? Go check and see if she's in there.
Michael: No. She's gone.
Anna: All right. Hello? This is commissioner Devane. Alert security that Ava Jerome is not allowed to leave this hospital under any circumstances. What? I'm in her hospital room right now. She's not here.
Michael: You did this, didn't you?
Anna: Thank you.
Michael: You helped your mom get away.
Larry: Michael Corinthos, who now wants to be known as Michael Quartermaine, has moved in to the mansion. He had no sooner put down his bags but he put Tracy Quartermaine on notice, which means that any procurement of ELQ is gonna be nigh on impossible, which means that our friend is more of a liability than an asset. All this goes to say that don't you think it's time we did something about the, uh, "Luke Spencer" problem?
Patrick: We may have got this wrong, Sam. Maybe Luke is really just a hostage.
Larry: Yes, I agree, Jerry. It's less than an ideal outcome, but we always knew there was such a possibility. That's why we made contingency plans.
Patrick: I knew that lush was working with him.
Sam: Well, you did accuse him of it, yeah.
Patrick: Yeah. He knows I'm suspicious.
Sam: Maybe Jerry is, too.
Patrick: How does Luke fit in to this? Is he a problem because now he's just a useless hostage, or is he a problem because now he knows we're suspicious and he's not a reliable inside man?
Larry: I'm glad you agree, Jerry. So, are we set? Has everything I'm going to need been put in our safe-deposit box?
Anna: Security checked the surveillance footage. Ava left the hospital a few minutes ago.
Michael: So, is that why you were talking to Anna -- so you could distract her while your mom slipped out?
Kiki: Are you listening to yourself? Anna didn't listen to the recording until after I was already with her. I wouldn't have had a chance to create a distraction, not that I would have wanted to, because I'm as horrified by what she did as you are.
Michael: So horrified that you kept quiet about it?
Anna: Did you know Ava killed Connie Falconeri?
Michael: Kiki knows a lot of things.
Kiki: Yeah, I knew.
Anna: Is your mother aware of this?
Kiki: I went off on her, and I told her that she wasn't going to get away with it now that Michael knew the truth.
Kiki: When what?
Anna: When did you have this conversation?
Kiki: Well, not too long ago -- right before she asked me to check in with you about my -- about my little sister.
Michael: Right. So, not only are you a liar, you're an idiot, too.
Kiki: Excuse me?
Michael: She used you, Kiki. She wanted you gone so she could slip out of here before the cops showed up. Nice work.
Mr. Corinthos, what are the chances you'll get out from under these charges?
Port Charles' most notorious crime boss...
Diane: Alleged crime boss.
...Finally being brought to justice.
Diane: Come with me.
Carly: Are you okay?
Sonny: I've never been better. I hate that I dragged you into this. I'm worried about you.
Carly: You didn't drag me into this. I'm here because I wanted to protect my family.
Diane: Yes. As touching as all of this is, none of it is to be uttered in court. Do you understand me? You do not speak until you are asked how you plead, and your answer is...?
Carly: Not guilty.
Diane: Excellent. Do you see how it's done? Okay. Give me some verbal confirmation.
Sonny: The only thing I want to say is, "not guilty."
Diane: Excellent, 'cause the last thing we need in there is for anyone to cause a scene.
Mrs. Spencer, do you feel betrayed, knowing the man you're involved with is prosecuting your daughter?
Considering the circumstances, D.A. Baldwin, is it possible for you to remain unbiased in this --
Scott: I thought I made it clear to you scribblers to direct these questions to my office! Would you please get them out of here, bailiff?!
Bailiff: Everyone out. Out!
Scott: [Sighs] That was quite an entrance, huh?
Bobbie: I thought the image would be perfect for your re-election posters next year.
Scott: Yeah. "Let's slap some sense into the good people of Port Charles"? Bobbie, you know how much I care about you.
Bobbie: If you really cared about me, you would look the other way.
Scott: I can't.
Bobbie: You would have given Carly a slap on the wrist, but you didn't. You're too obsessed with settling your score with Sonny.
Scott: That's not true.
Bobbie: Oh, really? What if it had been Serena? Would you have thrown the book at her the way you did at Carly?
Scott: Well, that's different.
Bobbie: Why?! Because she's your daughter or Lucy's? You had a choice, Scott, and you didn't choose us. We're through.
TJ: I know how my father died. You shot him. I mean, it wasn't easy to accept, but I did. It was an accident. I mean, you never meant to hurt him.
Shawn: No, I didn't. That much is true.
TJ: What are you talking about, Shawn?
Jordan: You know what? We can do this another time.
TJ: No, no, no. Do what? What the hell is going on?
Shawn: Look, Jordan, it's time. When I told you how your father died from friendly fire during a raid on our camp -- it's what I wanted you and everyone else to believe. [Sighs] Look, uh, TJ, when I shot your father... it was no accident.
TJ: You shot my dad on purpose.
Shawn: No. No. Not exactly.
TJ: Then what?
Jordan: Honey, just listen to him. Don't ask --
TJ: No. Are you saying that everything you've been telling me about him, what happened -- everything has been a lie?
Shawn: Not everything, TJ.
TJ: Then somebody needs to explain what's going on right now.
Jordan: Okay. The night that your father died... he attacked Shawn.
TJ: What? No.
Jordan: He was -- he was defending himself.
TJ: No, no, no. No. It makes no sense. Dad was your best friend. All three of you were best friends. Why would he attack you?
Jordan: Because of me.
Shawn: Because of both of us.
TJ: What? What are you --
Shawn: TJ, um.. your mother and I had an affair behind your father's back.
Larry: Don't worry. I hid the safe-deposit key in my room -- no mean feat, considering how nosy the bloody maid is. First thing in the morning, I'll go down to Port Charles savings and get everything that we need to get the ball rolling. Now I'm gonna make myself a nightcap -- turn in early.
Sam: We need to get in to that safe-deposit box.
Patrick: It could hold all the evidence we need to prove that Luke is involved and working with Jerry and lord Larry.
Sam: Yeah, and your accident.
Patrick: How do we get the key?
Sam: I have an idea.
Kiki: God. My mom used me.
Michael: How could you let this happen?
Anna: It's all right.
Michael: It's all right?!
Anna: Well, yes. Ava is still very weak, I'm sure, from labor and delivery, so she couldn't have gone far.
Kiki: Okay. So, what happens now?
Anna: We issue an APB on her -- see if we can find your mother immediately. But if she tries to contact you before that --
Kiki: Yeah, you'll be my first call.
Michael: You sure about that?
Kiki: I'm sure, Michael.
Anna: Good. Rivers, it's the commissioner. I need an APB out on Ava Jerome immediately.
Kiki: Michael, I'm sorry. I honestly didn't think my mom would leave with everything gong on with the baby right now.
Michael: Yeah. I'm sure.
Kiki: I swear.
Michael: Do you think that means anything to me after what you did?
Kiki: I don't know what to say to you.
Michael: Neither do I, 'cause either you're lying to my face and you helped your mom escape, just like you did Franco, or you looked the other way while she took off.
Kiki: That's not what happened. She tricked me.
Michael: Well, then you're just plain stupid.
Morgan: Hey! Lay off her.
Judge Chua: Be seated. This is docket 196, the people of the state of New York vs. Caroline Corinthos jacks. The charge is obstruction of justice. Ms. Jacks, on this count, how do you plead?
Carly: Not guilty.
Diane: Your honor, my client is a very reputable member of this community, both as a local business owner and as a mother. A flight risk she is not. So, I ask, in light of that fact, that the court set a reasonable bail.
Scott: The district attorney's office has no objection at this time.
Judge Chua: Unfortunately, this court does.
Diane: Uh... may I ask what those objections might be?
Judge Chua: Ms. Jacks is a very wealthy woman who, yes, co-owns a local hotel but also several international ones. And two of those three children are grown men.
Diane: Yes, but her youngest, her daughter, Josslyn, is only 9 years old, and she needs a --
Judge Chua: Your client stuck her neck out for one of the most powerful men on the eastern coast, ms. Miller. It's safe to assume he'll go to any lengths to return the favor. Bail is denied. [Bangs gavel]
Diane: Your honor, I respectfully request that you reconsider your -- your decision.
Judge Chua: The matter is settled, Counselor. We'll take a 15-minute recess and resume with the arraignment of Mr. Corinthos.
Bailiff: All rise!
Carly: I thought you had this handled.
Diane: I said I would do my best. But the justice system obviously relishes having you and Sonny in its crossings.
Carly: Mom, Josslyn -- Josslyn -- she needs me.
Bobbie: I know, honey, and she's gonna have you, okay? In the meantime, I will take care of her until this is all settled. We're gonna figure this out, okay? I'm right behind you, okay?
Sonny: I'm sorry, Carly.
Carly: It's not your fault.
[Camera shutters clicking]
Scott: Bobbie, Bobbie, listen -- I tried.
Bobbie: Too little, too late, Scott.
Sonny: What the hell happened?
Diane: I know it looks bad, but this is all part of the process. But I can pretty much guarantee you now that you will not get bail.
Sonny: I got that, Diane.
Diane: Have no fear. This is where I shine -- the trial. If I play this right -- and by "right" I mean "make some sort of miracle" -- then, in two months, you will walk out of here with a verdict of "not guilty" and they will be forced to drop the charges against Carly and Duke.
Sonny: There's no chance of that happening.
Diane: It's possible.
Sonny: No, but it's not likely, right, Diane?
Sonny: Baldwin! We need to speak.
Patrick: That look -- that scares me, Sam.
Sam: What look?
Patrick: That look you get when your wheels start turning, you start conjuring up ideas. What are you gonna do?
Sam: I don't know yet.
Patrick: Okay. Well, you better think of something, because he's about to slosh up to his room.
Sam: Stall him.
Patrick: Stall? Hey! What do you mean, "stall him"?
Sam: Not long. I mean, long enough for me to go around and go into his room and get the key.
Patrick: Oh, really? Is that it? How am I supposed to do that?
Sam: Hey, you just said you like adventures, right? This is an adventure!
Sam: Okay, just... think of something, please.
Patrick: [Clears throat]
Larry: [Coughs] What the devil are you doing here?!
TJ: How could you do this, man?
Shawn: TJ --
TJ: You two were serving together. Brothers in arms, right? That's what they call you?
Jordan: Yes, but, TJ, you don't know the whole --
TJ: And you -- fooling around behind his back? That was your husband. What, you just didn't think about what it would do to him, to me?
Jordan: No. Of course, I did, baby.
TJ: And what about the family you were breaking up? No wonder he hated you.
Jordan: Honey, it wasn't like that, okay? It wasn't.
Shawn: Your father was the best friend I've had.
TJ: And that's how you treat a friend?
Jordan: Listen, it was a mistake, okay?
Shawn: Yeah, and the affair was long over before Thomas died. You know, TJ..
TJ: How long?
Jordan: Years, baby. Years. Look... right after we were married, your father was deployed to Haiti, and he was gone for almost a year.
TJ: What, you got lonely? You couldn't wait?
Jordan: It was really hard, TJ. It was harder than I expected, and I needed to lean on a friend. I leaned on -- on Shawn for support.
Shawn: And one thing led to another, and... we crossed the line.
Jordan: But we ended it quickly -- okay? -- Because we loved your father. We both did.
TJ: Well, you've got some way of showing it.
Jordan: Well, miraculously, um, you know, things went back to normal.
TJ: So, Dad found out?
Shawn: In Afghanistan, we were running lookout together, just the two of us, when he -- when he confronted me. He lost it. I've never seen him like that.
TJ: Well, can you blame him?
Shawn: Being furious, writing me off for life? No. But your father reached for his gun, TJ. I asked him repeatedly to please put it down. He wouldn't. And I saw the look in his eyes, and he was gonna shoot me.
TJ: Shawn, you don't know that.
Shawn: Yes, I do, TJ, and I had no other choice but to take him out before he could do it to me.
Julian: Could somebody tell me what the hell is going on? You can't just barge in to my home, search my things, and then drag me off.
When we have a warrant, we can.
Julian: A warrant? I want to speak to the commissioner about this.
Anna: Oh, good. It's your lucky day. I want to speak to you, too.
Morgan: I don't care how pissed you are at us. You need to back off.
Kiki: Morgan, it's fine.
Morgan: No, it's not fine. Really? You're gonna talk to her like that?
Michael: Why don't you stay the hell out of it?
Morgan: Oh, what -- and let you verbally abuse her? No. Okay, we get it. You're never gonna forgive us because we didn't tell you about Dad, but that doesn't --
Michael: He is not my father. AJ was, and he's gone now because your mother framed him and your father killed him.
Morgan: Oh. So, now it's our fault?
Michael: No, it's your fault because you lied to me every single day with every single breath, and it's her fault that Ava escaped.
Morgan: Whoa, whoa. What? Ava's gone?
Michael: Wow. You two are a regular brain trust, aren't you? Do you see her anywhere here, genius?
Kiki: Okay, you don't have to be so hateful, Michael.
Michael: You know what? I'm sorry that you helped the woman who framed my father escape, and I'm not being nice enough.
Kiki: Morgan, my mom found out that Michael knew about Connie, and she took off before the cops could get here.
Michael: Yeah, thanks to you.
Morgan: Okay, you need to ease up, all right? Kiki wouldn't help Ava escape on purpose.
Michael: If it wasn't Kiki who helped Ava escape, then maybe -- maybe it was you.
Anna: All right. I'm just gonna cut to the chase. Where are you hiding Ava? Should I have used smaller words?
Julian: I don't know what you're talking about.
Anna: Ava was tipped off that we were bringing her in.
Julian: For what?
Anna: When she fled the hospital, I know she must have turned to someone to help her. I'm guessing that someone is you.
Morgan: You think I helped Ava escape?
Michael: Well, you did once before.
Morgan: Okay, dude. I don't have time for this. The baby's still missing, so --
Michael: You know, even you wouldn't be dumb enough to stash her in the brownstone again, so tell me, Morgan, where's Ava?
Julian: Well, I don't know.
Anna: You don't know?
Julian: Why don't you ask your officers out there? They went through my place -- came up empty.
Anna: Just because she's not at the penthouse, it doesn't mean you haven't hidden her somewhere else.
Morgan: You have 3 seconds to get your hands off me.
Michael: Yeah? Or what?
Kiki: Michael! Hey!
Michael: Yeah, bring it, okay?! You've had this coming for a long time!
Kiki: Stop! Stop! Please, guys, stop!
Morgan: I'm telling you the truth, Mikey. I don't know where Ava is.
Julian: If my sister's on the run, she must have gone someplace else for help, because I do not know anything about this.
Anna: Well, if not you, then who? Who else would she turn to?
[Knock on door]
Ava: Hide me.
Ava: No. No one can see me here, Silas.
Silas: All right. Slow down. Who's "no one"? Who are you hiding from?
Ava: Would you just say that you'll help me, please -- no questions asked?
Silas: I can't do that. You need medical attention, Ava.
Ava: I can't stay there, Silas. If I did, it'd be the end for me.
Silas: Why? What kind of trouble are you in?
Julian: I can understand why you're skeptical.
Anna: Oh. Can you blame me?
Julian: No. I suppose not. But look -- even if I knew where Ava was, I certainly wouldn't tell you. But I tell you what -- I'm gonna give it to you straight. Call it a professional courtesy.
Anna: Yeah, there's nothing professional about you.
Julian: I had no idea that my sister was missing, let alone that the police were after her.
Anna: So, you're surprised?
Julian: I'm worried. My sister should be in the hospital, recuperating. She just had a baby, for god's sake! There's an innocent little girl out there somewhere with some sociopath and a madwoman. You know, maybe you should be more focused on that instead of some trumped-up charge.
Anna: Okay, first of all, I have every available officer out there searching for that child, and, second of all, this is not a trumped-up charge.
Julian: Okay, fine. Let's hear it. What do you got on my sister?
Anna: I have a recording of her admitting to murdering Connie Falconeri.
Michael: If you don't tell me where Ava is, I will beat it out of you.
Morgan: Back off.
Kiki: Michael, he doesn't know!
Michael: Okay. Then where were you? Before you came here, what were you doing?
Morgan: I was at the PCPD, and I was trying to get answers about the baby. That's what I was doing.
Michael: What, so you and Ava can run off with the baby?
Morgan: Are you serious? Are you serious right now? I'm done protecting Ava. You can ask her if you don't believe me.
Michael: You really think I would believe Kiki?
Kiki: Well, it's true.
Michael: What part -- the part that you're a liar or the part that he's through with your mom?
Morgan: Oh, my God. Enough! You can hate us for a lot of things, Michael, but not for this. I made it very clear that Ava's on her own, all right?
Morgan: For starters, when I found out what she did to Connie, okay, I told Da-- I told Sonny where he could find her.
Diane: For future reference, chats with the D.A. without your lawyer present -- 100% ill-advised.
Sonny: I'll keep that in mind, Diane.
Bailiff: All rise! Honorable judge amber Chua presiding.
Diane: If you threatened him, Sonny, you just turned an uphill battle into mount Everest.
Judge Chua: Be seated. This is docket 197, the people of the state of New York vs. Michael "Sonny" Corinthos Jr. The charge is murder. Mr. Corinthos, how do you plead?
Larry: Well, I'm waiting -- and not very patiently, I might add.
Patrick: You're probably wondering why I didn't just come through the front door.
Larry: Then it wouldn't have been an ambush, would it? So, I suppose you're wanting to know if I've been putting my noggin together with Luke Spencer and Jerry jacks again.
Patrick: That's actually why I'm here.
Larry: For the last time, I'm not the man you're looking for. I'm the victim. I'm the one who was trussed up in some filthy sack by somebody I can only assume was Jerry jacks. This was his final insult to Tracy Quartermaine. Now, if there's nothing else, I'm toddling off to bed.
Patrick: Actually, there is.
TJ: [Exhales sharply]
Shawn: I'm sorry, TJ. You okay? Look, I never meant for it to go down like that. Your father and I, man -- we loved each other.
Jordan: We both did.
TJ: If it was out of self-defense, then why come up with a cover-up -- so people wouldn't find out you cheated on him?
Jordan: No, no, no. It wasn't like that at all.
Shawn: Look, TJ, you got to understand, okay? Before I could even absorb what I had done, we were ambushed. Bullets started raining down. I-I was hit.
Jordan: Yeah, and when Shawn finally woke up, it was days later, baby. I mean, he was in triage.
Shawn: That's when they told me Thomas was gone... that one of my bullets killed him. They assumed it was friendly fire -- you know, an accident during the raid.
TJ: And you let them.
Shawn: Not to protect me... but to protect your father's memory, okay? Your father was a good man -- a good man who snapped because of something I did. He deserved better than what he got in the end.
Jordan: He did. He did. He deserved -- he deserved to be honored, baby. Your father -- your father -- don't let this one thing just overshadow everything that he is. He was a good and wonderful man who served this country for many years.
TJ: [Sobbing] Then why?! God!
Jordan: [Crying] Baby... I'm sorry.
Shawn: Look, man... your father was a hero... and nothing's ever gonna change that.
Patrick: I came to apologize, okay? I may have crossed the line before.
Larry: I had nothing to do with the death of your son, and for you to continually imply that --
Patrick: I am sorry about that, okay? It's still very fresh to me, and I am still looking for people to blame. Believe me -- you're not the first. But there's no indication that you were involved, so... will you accept my apology?
Larry: Of course.
Patrick: Thank you.
Larry: We all make blunders. And now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to retire.
Patrick: Wait. Wait.
Patrick: We should drink on it, right -- look each other in the eye, have a little cheers/ at least I know all of this is behind us.
Larry: I've already had my nightcap.
Patrick: Oh, come on, Larry. What's one more? So, what are you -- a whiskey man, a vodka man?
Larry: I'm a gin man.
Patrick: A gin man.
Larry: And I prefer to drink alone.
Patrick: Come on. What kind of attitude is that? Here. You know what? On second thought, Larry, you were man enough to accept my apology, so I'm gonna let you drink on your own tonight, okay? Have a good night.
Larry: And use the front door!
Patrick: You know what? It's such a gorgeous evening out here, I'm gonna go through the garden, but I will see you again.
Larry: [Sighs heavily]
Morgan: That's what you walked in on last night between Sonny and Ava. I mean, the only reason he knew where to find her was because of me.
Michael: You're proud of that?
Morgan: I'm just trying to get you to believe me, damn it. Come on. If I knew full well what he might do to her, does it make sense that I would help her run from the cops? No, it doesn't.
Michael: Morgan, you're just as bad as Sonny is.
Morgan: Oh, come on.
Michael: You know, I should have known you wouldn't help me clear AJ's name.
Morgan: Come on.
Morgan: Come back here, man.
Bobbie: Just wait -- just wait -- until I get to unload on Scott! He has the nerve to do this to my daughter!
Carly: Mom, stop. It's not Scott's fault, okay? He's just doing his job.
Bobbie: Oh, please. Don't give me that.
Carly: It's my mess.
Carly: Why did I get involved with him?
Bobbie: Who, Franco?
Carly: Yeah, Franco. If I wouldn't have talked myself into believing he changed -- and then once I did, I should have stayed the hell away from Sonny. If I would have stayed away from Sonny, this would have never com out.
Bobbie: Yeah, but then you would still be with Franco. Honey, that is no better.
Carly: What do you think's going on in there?
Bobbie: I don't know. Want me to find out?
Sonny: [Sighing] Hi.
Carly: Hey. You didn't make bail, either, huh?
Carly: At least I'll know someone in Pentonville while we're waiting for trial.
Sonny: You're not going to Pentonville, Carly.
Carly: You -- you heard the judge, okay? You know. [Chuckles]
Sonny: The only place you're going... is home.
Ava: You know exactly what kind of trouble I'm in. Sonny wants me dead.
Silas: Wasn't that to keep you quiet about him murdering AJ Quartermaine?
Silas: So, it's out in the open now. You're not a threat anymore.
Ava: Except for my testimony. This is how the mob works, Silas. Once the boss is caught, the men have orders to eliminate all witnesses.
Silas: Well, then, in your condition, wouldn't you be better off at the hospital?
Ava: No. Sonny's men are already watching the place. I think they are. I saw two men hanging around outside my room. They clearly did not work for GH.
Silas: And you think they're Sonny's guys?
Ava: Yeah. I can't be sure, but they looked familiar. I thought I recognized them from when I was staying at his place. I panicked. I waited for them to look the other way, and I got the hell out of there.
Silas: You took a big risk, Ava.
Ava: At least I'm alive. Please, Silas... would you please let me stay here until all this dies down? You're my only hope.
Julian: [Chuckles] AJ killed Connie, not Ava.
Anna: You expect me to believe that you didn't know about this -- that your sister murdered Connie Falconeri for you?
Julian: At the risk of repeating myself, I don't know what you're talking about.
Anna: Oh, come on! Connie found out that Derek wells was you, and so Ava shot her, probably on your orders.
Julian: On my -- I don't -- I had nothing to do with this. Just like everybody else, I thought AJ killed Connie. Now, as far as where Ava is right now, well [Chuckles] I'm in the dark as much as you are.
Anna: Well, that's convenient.
Julian: All right. Well, you know what? If there's nothing else, I'd like to go home now.
Anna: I'm sure you would.
Julian: So, you gonna let me go or not?
TJ: [Sniffling] [Sighs heavily]
Jordan: Do you have any questions?
Jordan: Why what, baby?
TJ: Why are you telling me this? You could have just left it alone. I could have stayed in the dark forever. Why now?
Shawn: Because keeping it a secret just wasn't right anymore -- not for us and not for you.
Jordan: Yeah, and after last night, after the warehouse, you know, it dawned on us, what if we died? You would have never known the truth.
Shawn: You deserve to know, TJ -- okay? -- Even if it hurts.
TJ: Well, that's great. So, now I'm supposed to do what -- just live with it?
Shawn: Would you rather have kept on believing a lie?
TJ: Kind of, yeah. What does this do for me? Nothing. Telling me was all for you, just so you could clear your consciences about screwing each other right before you capped my dad.
Jordan: No, baby. No. We told you it was not like that.
Shawn: Look, what happened between your mother and I was over years before your father found out.
Jordan: Before you were even born.
TJ: When Dad was in Haiti?
Jordan: Yeah. That's right.
TJ: So, that means -- is there a chance that Shawn could be my father?!
Shawn: You know, the possibility of, uh, being your father was in the back of my mind for years.
Jordan: Both of our minds.
Shawn: Neither one of us wanted to admit it, let alone find out if it was true.
TJ: So, you never had a paternity test? You don't know?
Shawn: Well, after a close call in Kandahar, everything changed. You know, I had to know the truth, in case something happened to me.
Jordan: Yeah, so after we talked about it, I agreed to a DNA test...
Shawn: And a few weeks later, she wrote back with the results. Your father found the letter.
TJ: [Sighs] Oh, man.
Shawn: That's what set him off.
TJ: What did the test say?
Shawn: That Thomas was your father by blood -- and every other way that counts.
TJ: [Exhales sharply] Well, is that supposed to make everything okay?
Shawn: No. But at least you know that it wasn't all a lie and that there are still things you can count on.
Jordan: Like us.
TJ: Right. Right.
Jordan: No, TJ. What, you're leaving?
TJ: I need to get to the library.
Jordan: No, no, no. Please don't leave. We need to talk about --
TJ: Mom, I've really -- I've heard enough.
Shawn: It was for the best, Jordan, okay? The truth always is.
Jordan: It doesn't feel like that at the moment.
Shawn: Well, it could have been a lot worse, right? I mean, for all of us. I mean, the DNA results could have gone the other way and Thomas could have died without the comfort of knowing TJ was definitely his son.
Carly: What did you do? What did you do?
Diane: Would you please take the handcuffs off Mrs. Jacks?
Bobbie: What's going on?
Scott: I dropped all charges.
Carly: You did?
Bobbie: Scott, I don't know what to say except, "thank you."
Diane: Oh, don't thank him. He got something huge in return -- a guilty plea from Sonny.
Anna: No, I don't think I'm ready to let you go yet.
Julian: Oh, come on. You got to be kidding me.
Anna: Sullivan, can you come in here, please, and escort Mr. Jerome down to a holding cell?
Julian: Okay. You know, I did nothing wrong, and you know it.
Anna: Yeah. You're a person of interest in a murderer's disappearance, so I am well within my rights to keep you for 48 hours.
Julian: You know, this is insane! You're making a mistake -- a big one!
Silas: Shouldn't you be in some kind of protective custody or something?
Ava: No! I should not.
Silas: Understand this. I don't have the kind of resources -- and by "resources," I mean "guns" -- to keep you safe from these people, all right? I mean, the cops -- they do.
Ava: And you don't think Sonny could get to me? All it takes is one cop to flip and I'm as good as dead. What I need is one person I can trust -- just one person to stay quiet and keep me safe until --
Silas: Until when?
Ava: Until -- until I can figure out my next move. Please? Please, Silas. Would you tell me that you'll be that person? I need to get through this for my daughter. She's just a baby. She needs me.
Silas: All right.
Ava: [Chuckles] All right?
Silas: You can stay here until you figure things --
Silas: Until you figure things out.
Ava: Silas... you just saved my life.
Kiki: That was almost as bad as last night.
Kiki: The way he is talking to us -- Morgan, he has definitely written us off.
Morgan: Well, I think he means it about my parents, but us -- especially you -- I mean, I think once things calm down, he will come around.
Morgan: He loves you, Kiki. I mean, I just -- I think you're gonna have to fight for him.
Kiki: You know, that's what Silas said, too, so I went to see Michael this morning.
Morgan: You went to see -- well, based on just now, I'm guessing that didn't go too well.
Kiki: Not really, considering he was in bed with Rosalie.
Carly: How could you do this?
Sonny: It's for the best, Carly.
Carly: You pleading guilty is not for the best.
Diane: [Claps hands] Well, now that you have coerced my client into an ill-advised plea of "guilty," all that's left is the sentencing. I trust you will be lenient on that front?
Scott: I'll do my best. But I wouldn't hold your breath.
Diane: Excuse me.
Carly: Don't do this.
Sonny: It's al--
Carly: Don't do this for me.
Sonny: It's already done.
Carly: No, it's not. You can change your plea.
Sonny: I'm not gonna let you go down for what I did.
Carly: What we did, and I would do it again to protect you. I would.
Sonny: Now it's my turn. I love you. And the only thing that matters to me is that you're safe. And if I know that, that's gonna make me feel okay.
Bailiff: Let's go.
Patrick: God. Thank you for bailing me out. I was tap-dancing --
Sam: No, you handled yourself like a pro.
Sam: I don't know. I mean, I wasn't in there.
Sam: But I-I-I imagine you did. I mean, that guy would have never known anyway, he was so drunk.
Patrick: Yeah, I hope so. Now, did you, uh, get the key to the safe-deposit box?
Sam: No. Well, I-I was afraid that if I made off with it, that I'd sound an alarm or something.
Patrick: But you did find it?
Sam: Uh, no. I -- but I -- uhh. Silly putty.
Sam: Silly putty. I know. Isn't it crazy? I carry it in my pocket for Danny in case he has a temper tantrum, and I think it actually made a really decent impression.
Patrick: Decent enough to get a copy?
Sam: Yes! Yes! I'm gonna call my guy in the morning. We're gonna have a copy of the safe-deposit box!
Patrick: Then we'll get our answers about Luke once and for all.
On the next "General Hospital" --
Sam: (to Lulu) We wanted to talk to you about Ned's father.
Britt: (to Nikolas) I have decided to cooperate after all.
Olivia: (to Julian) Where the Hell is your sister!?!
Ava: (to Silas) Those two maniacs are still out there with my daughter.
Nina: (to Franco) I'm the mother of his child.
Agent Sloane: (to Anna) You murdered Cesar Faison.
