[Ginny Owens' "love is a mystery" plays]

[Door opens]

Once we were strangers it's hard to believe

Kiki: Hello?

Michael: Hey. Perfect timing.

Kiki: What is going on? Why did you want me to meet you here?

Michael: To celebrate.

Kiki: Oh. Oh, I see. Okay. No, we should be celebrating. Now that my marriage to Morgan is over, I'm a free woman.

Morgan: I can't wait to see the look on my dad's face when he sees I chose your family, not his.

Ava: That makes this even better for you, doesn't it?

Morgan: Kind of. [Chuckles]

[Knock on door]

Morgan: Hey. Pretend you're not home. Please.

Delia: Can I get you anything? Pickles, relish, mustard, ketchup?

Silas: No, I think -- I think we're good. You know, unless you happen to remember anything about that woman we were talking about.

Sam: Yeah.

Delia: No, I don't. No can do. I don't know what women you're talking about.

Sam: Actually, we think you do, Delia. You [Chuckles] Either know her or you are her.

Delia: Me?

Sam: Yeah, you. We think you're the woman who gave birth to Victor Jerome's daughter -- a little girl named Ava.

Ava: Put your shirt on, would you? I have to get this. It could be important. [Sighs]

Derek: Busy?

Ava: What do you want?

Derek: To talk to Morgan about his father.

Sonny: So, what are my options? Sit back while Julian Jerome destroys my business? Then he's gonna come after me.

Olivia: He's a problem.

Sonny: Yeah. And when there's a problem, what do you do? You got to eliminate the problem.

Olivia: Eliminate the problem?

Sonny: Yeah.

Olivia: Are you speaking literally? Sonny, are you talking about killing Julian Jerome?

Lulu: Great.

Dante: What did Alexis have to say?

Lulu: Um, she's on her way to court to argue against Diane's motion for a court order to take Connie away from us.

Dante: [Sighs] [Smooches] And? What else did she have to say?

Maxie: Sorry. It look me a little longer -- make that a lot longer than I thought, but I'm pretty sure I got everything. Spinelli. Look at that crib. Oh! I can't wait till our baby's home.

Dante: Lulu, what else did Alexis have to say?

Lulu: She said that if she loses and if Diane wins, then we have to hand Connie over to Maxie and Spinelli.

Dante: When? [Sniffles]

Lulu: Today.

Delia: So, you actually think I was that big shot's girlfriend? And that I had his kid? Like, do I look the type? What would even make you say something like that?

Silas: You heard the guy's name and you dropped a coffee pot. I mean, clearly, it affected you.

Delia: Yeah, well, I had on a lot of anti-bacterial cream, and it gets kind of slippery, and the handle was wet, and I better wash off my hands before I drop something else.

Sam: No. Hey, listen. Listen. Delia, please. We're not here to make trouble for you. We really aren't. Victor is long dead. We don't want anything to happen, but we're not trying to come after you or anything like that.

Delia: Then why do you want to know?

Sam: Well, I-I did tell you that I was a P.I., But I am here for purely personal reasons. I just -- I want some answers about my past, and if Ava is Victor Jerome's daughter, then... well, that makes us family.

Ava: Julian, I think you said all you needed to say to Morgan last night when you almost had him killed.

Morgan: Okay, Ava. What's up?

Derek: Just wanted to make sure we're clear about what happened last night.

Morgan: How much clearer can it be? I didn't tell my dad that you're Julian Jerome and you're going after him, and I'm not going to.

Derek: And what, uh, guarantee do I have of that?

Sonny: I'm only talking to you about this because you understand me and you would not turn your back on me.

Olivia: Of course I wouldn't.

Sonny: Right.

Olivia: But, Sonny, you're talking about killing a man.

Sonny: Julian Jerome could be planning to kill me.

Olivia: You don't know that.

Sonny: Well...

Olivia: All you know is that if you go and take this guy out, one of his soldiers is gonna come and retaliate. And then what happens? He's not the only guy dead -- you're dead, too.

Sonny: I've been doing this a long time. I know what I'm doing. I'll be fine.

Olivia: Don't Sonny. Stop it. Don't you brush this off like that. After Connie got killed, your kids and I -- we thought we were gonna lose you.

Sonny: That was different.

Olivia: No, it wasn't different. The result would be the same -- no more you. Please. Do not put us through that again, Sonny. Please, don't put yourself in the line of fire.

Lulu: What if Alexis loses? Diane is a shark, and Alexis warned us that the courts, they favor the biological parents. What are we gonna do?

Dante: Okay. Well, let's not try to jump to the worst possible scenario.

Lulu: Well, how's this gonna work? Will Maxie and Spinelli just show up and -- and take Connie away? They can't just force us to hand her over.

Dante: I'm sorry, Lulu, but they can.

Spinelli: As tempting as it is to get ahead of ourselves, I think we should probably refrain.

Maxie: Well, from everything Diane said, getting our daughter back is practically a done deal.

Spinelli: Yes, well, Diane was confident that the judge would grant the court order. It's not a fait accompli, not yet.

Maxie: Spinelli, she's our daughter. The court is going to give her back to us. You must think the same thing. I mean, why else did you put this crib together?

Spinelli: Well, because you made a strenuous request -- make that an outright demand that I do it immediately. Modesty aside, though, I think I did a commendable job, yeah?

Maxie: You loved every minute of it.

Spinelli: [Chuckles] I did.

Maxie: Because you know she's gonna be sleeping here soon.

Spinelli: [Sighs]

Maxie: You even added that adorable little mobile.

Spinelli: Well, because I've read that infants respond positively to the presence of mobiles.

Maxie: And...?

Spinelli: And I, too, believe that we'll be taking care of our daughter within hours. I just -- I was trying to prepare us for the unlikely event that it doesn't happen, that's all. But I'd say with your [Clears throat] Considerable purchases... I'd say we're ready for her arrival.

Maxie: How's this gonna work? I mean, when they bring us our daughter, then what happens? We don't know the first thing about being parents.

Lulu: How can anyone take Connie away from us if we don't want to give her to them? I mean, how would that work? You're a cop. You know.

Dante: Yeah. I've seen it go down before. The cops show up, and the social worker shows up, and they forcibly remove Connie from our home.

Lulu: A social worker? Just a -- just a total stranger that Connie doesn't know at all.

Dante: Well, they have been trained in these situations.

Lulu: This isn't a situation. Dante, this is our child, and cops and social workers are gonna come into our home, and they're going to take her away from us like we've done something wrong -- like we're criminals.

Dante: [Sighs] All I can tell you is that if the judge sides with Maxie and Spinelli, then there's nothing, really, we can do.

Lulu: Then... we need to take her and run.

Delia: Okay, so what's the big deal? I mean, if this Ava person is your relative, then why not just ask her?

Sam: Why not, right? But it's actually very complicated. And after years of not knowing anything about my father, I finally found out that Victor Jerome had a son. His name was Julian.

Delia: Great. Then why not ask him?

Sam: Because he's dead.

Delia: Oh, well. I'm sorry.

Sam: And Ava -- she refuses to admit to knowing a Julian.

Delia: Well, then, there you have it.

Silas: But the thing is about Ava -- she lies about everything, and you could help us prove that, Delia, one way or the other.

Delia: Why do you keep calling me by my name?

Silas: You don't like your name?

Delia: No. I mean yes. No, I mean -- I mean I like my name, but it's just that, uh, well, you're pretty intense, and, uh, kind of irresistible -- no, that's not really the right word. No, I think what I mean to say is compelling. Yeah. That's it. So, what did you say your name was?

Silas: I didn't.

Delia: [Chuckles] Is it a secret or something?

Silas: [Chuckles] I'm Silas clay. This is Samantha Morgan.

Sam: Hi.

Silas: Now that we're all acquainted and become chummy and all that, what do you say you answer the girl's questions?

Sam: All I want to know is if Ava's my father's sister. Please, can you please help us? It would answer so many question

Silas: Look, there's someone else who would really like to know, as well.

Delia: Who?

Sam: Ava's daughter.

Delia: Ava has a daughter?

Michael: Yes, we should celebrate the fact that you are a free woman. But the truth is, I called you here to, uh, celebrate this place.

Kiki: What about it?

Michael: I'm gonna be running it. My dad put my in charge.

Kiki: You -- what? Oh, my God! That's awesome!

Michael: [Laughs]

Olivia: If you go after Julian Jerome, he will not be the only one that gets hurt. You will, too.

Sonny: I'll make sure no one can get to me.

Olivia: How in the hell are you gonna make that happen?

Sonny: I'll disappear for a while.

Olivia: Okay. So, you disappear for a while?

Sonny: Mm-hmm.

Olivia: And then what happens next? His people come after your family instead of you.

Lulu: We got to take her. We got to go.

Dante: What are you doing?

Lulu: We got to move. We got to go.

Dante: Wait. Just stop. Would you stop, please, and just take a breath?

Lulu: No. I can't.

Dante: Would you stop and slow down?

Lulu: We could lose her, Dante.

Dante: Okay. Look. Look. Look. Nothing has happened yet. Okay?

Connie: [Crying]

Dante: I'm sorry, honey. I'm sorry. We have Alexis fighting for us, okay? She's good lawyer. Oh, honey, are you okay? Okay. We have a good lawyer, okay? Okay? And Diane's case is not open and shut, okay? Maybe she won't get the court order.

Lulu: Yeah, but she could. We could lose our little girl, Dante. I can't take that chance.

Dante: Okay. Okay. You're all right.

Dante: I happen to know how wonderful you were with Emma when Robin was suffering from postpartum depression.

Maxie: Yeah, but that was, like, playing with her and buying her cute clothes and stuff. Everybody else did the dirty work.

Spinelli: You know, um, from what I understand, diapering is an easily acquired skill.

Maxie: How do you know that?

Spinelli: Well, I have made some purchases of my own -- the 10 best-reviewed parenting books on the market. Hundreds of pages of expert advice, and I'm sure that Mac and your mom will help out if they need to.

Maxie: [Scoffs] What if I'm not a good mother? What if she's unhappy here and I do everything wrong? What if she misses Dante and Lulu? Aren't you scared?

Spinelli: Yeah. I'm petrified, Maxie, but she's our daughter. We created her. I mean, those few, precious times that you held her, didn't you just feel right?

Maxie: It felt perfect.

Spinelli: See? She'll feel our love for her. She'll be okay. So will we.

Lulu: We need to disappear.

Dante: Would you stop saying that? We're not going anywhere.

Lulu: We can do this, okay? I didn't grow up as Luke Spencer's daughter without knowing a thing or two about going on the run, so...we need fake passports. My dad can provide those.

Dante: Baby, what are you -- what are you talking about? We don't even know where your father is.

Lulu: Okay, then Nikolas. He's got money. He can pay for us to disappear.

Dante: Great. Great. Now we're dragging your brother into this thing -- something illegal like this?

Lulu: He is a Cassadine. It won't be the first time.

Dante: Oh, so it's no big deal? Just take advantage of him?

Lulu: Okay. Your father. Sonny would help us keep Connie in a heartbeat. Family means everything to him.

Kiki: So, he just gave you this place?

Michael: Well, as you know, my job search was a fail. You know that little space on the form where they ask you if you've been convicted of a felony? I have to check "yes." And on top of that, my last name's Corinthos. And on top of that, my biological father is being tried for murder, so I'm basically the trifecta of unemployable. But I worked at my dad's coffee warehouse before, and I was hoping that, you know, he'd take me back.

Kiki: And he just gave you this restaurant instead?

Michael: Well, the warehouse was trashed recently, and he thinks that the restaurant's safer. And now it's on me to turn this place into a legit business, or, in his words, a showplace. Yeah. No pressure, right?

Kiki: You're gonna make this place absolutely amazing. And I'm very happy for you. For us. Cheers.

Michael: Cheers. Me, too. Oh.

Kiki: [Chuckles]

Michael: But, uh, Morgan freaked when he found out.

Morgan: Mr. Jerome, I didn't tell my dad who you really are. Instead, I'm gonna come work with you against him.

Derek: Except, uh, yesterday when you left my office, you were pretty determined to go to your father and, uh, blow my cover. You said no matter how angry you were with him, you had to go to Sonny and warn him. So, what happened between then and when Carlos found you down at the pier?

Morgan: I already told you what happened. I went down to my dad's warehouse and he'd given Michael a job after he told me that he'd never let me work for him. Okay? He chose Michael again, and he always will, and I hate him. So, I want to help you take him down.

Derek: Hmm. Now, Carlos was pointing a gun at you. How do I know you didn't just say that to save yourself? How do I know that you didn't go to Sonny and tell him, then he sent you back here to double-cross me?

Morgan: Because he wouldn't do that.

Ava: He's right, Julian. Sonny would never put Morgan in that position. It's too dangerous.

Morgan: Oh, screw that, Ava, okay? He didn't -- he didn't do it because he cared if I was in danger. He wouldn't do it because he thought I didn't have what it takes to work for him. So, why would I be loyal to him after that?

Derek: [Sighs]

Ava: The bottom line is that

Morgan had told Sonny that you are really Julian Jerome, you'd likely be dead already.

Olivia: Sonny, if you go after Julian Jerome, you're putting all your kids in danger. Ava's already got her hooks so deep into Morgan, and God forbid you lose someone else you love to this family.

Sonny: That's the plan, ain't it? Make sure I don't.

Olivia: But the violence always escalates. You know this.

Sonny: Julian Jerome's coming after me. He's not gonna stop. So, how do I stop him? You know how, Olivia?

Olivia: Yeah. I think I do.

Michael: I just wish there was some way I could get through to Morgan... you know, help him to see that it doesn't have to be this way. I mean, he rushed out of there before he even told my dad what he was doing there in the first place.

Kiki: Maybe that's for the best.

Michael: The thing is, though, is I think he was there to try and make things right.

Morgan: Running to my dad thinking that I was gonna warn him about you was a big mistake, but I'm glad that I did it.

Derek: Really? Why's that?

Morgan: Because I was -- I was going soft, okay? I needed to -- I needed to see one more time that my father didn't give a damn about me. All right? So, it gave me the kick I needed to do something about him by throwing in with you.

Derek: You know, sons have been rebelling against their fathers since the dawn of time. You don't believe me? Read the bible. But here's the thing. In the end, they always go back. They stay loyal to their fathers.

Morgan: No. No. No! Not me, okay? I don't owe Sonny anything. I can help you. I want to help you. I just -- I don't know what else I can say to prove that.

Delia: Ava never told me I had a granddaughter, after everything I did for her.

Sam: Okay. So, Ava is your daughter.

Silas: You were involved with Victor Jerome.

Delia: [Sighs] Okay. I went out with Vic a few times. Maybe more. I knew the guy was bad news. [Sighs] So I broke up with him, but he left me with one last gift -- baby Ava.

Sam: My aunt.

Delia: See, I was really young, I was really irresponsible, and I knew that I couldn't take care of her, so I gave her away. [Sighs] I wanted her to have a much better life than I had growing up, and then I married my husband, Frank Ryan, and that was it. [Sighs] Yeah, I knew she would have a good life without me. And then, all of a sudden, one day, Ava shows up all grown-up.

Morgan: I'm gonna go get cleaned up, unless Carlos is gonna come by and kill me after all.

Derek: [Chuckles] Not this afternoon, but, uh, I told him to stay available.

Morgan: [Chuckles]

Derek: The kid doesn't know when to stop talking. That's gonna get him into trouble. Besides, I've got, uh, bigger things to worry about right now. There's some stuff going on that I do not like.

Ava: Why? What happened?

Derek: Alexis Davis came by my office today. She and her daughter, Sam -- that would be my daughter -- have quietly figured out that, uh, Sam's father is Julian Jerome.

Delia: Oh, Ava wanted answers -- just like you -- about who she was, who her father was, and I know I owed her an explanation no matter how difficult it was. I was just afraid that she might be upset to find out that her daddy was a mobster.

Silas: She wasn't?

Delia: [Laughs] Are you kidding? Oh, Ava lit up like a Christmas tree when she found out that she was the long-lost daughter of one of the most powerful men in New York. And I told her how Vic made his money, but she didn't care, 'cause she wanted in. Believe me, she lost interest in me. I never even heard from her again. I don't even get a postcard telling me that I have a granddaughter. [Sighs]

Sam: Oh, so -- um, we're -- we're sorry about that.

Delia: So, do you know her? Do you know my granddaughter?

Silas: Yeah, we know her.

Kiki: Let's not talk about Morgan anymore. Let's talk about this food. It is killer. We haven't had anything this fancy since we got together.

Michael: And that is going to change.

Kiki: Oh, really? Now that you're some restaurateur now?

Michael: Oh, yeah. You know it.

Kiki: [Chuckles] So, tell me. If this place hasn't been in business for years, who is the amazing chef that cooked this feast?

Michael: Well, if I tell you, I'd have to kill you.

Sonny: Why don't you tell me how I should deal with Julian Jerome?

Olivia: By sitting down and talking to him like the civilized, intelligent man that I know you are.

Sonny: That is your solution -- to sit down and talk to him?

Olivia: Sonny, he's a human being.

Sonny: Yeah.

Olivia: He's got a heart in there somewhere, maybe a family that he cares about. There's no reason that if the two of you sit down and talk, maybe you could work something out.

Sonny: There's a lot of maybes. And I appreciate your -- your concern and everything, but from what I know about Julian Jerome, he's not open for negotiation, and he's left a trail of bodies when he was here last time.

Olivia: Well, maybe he's changed.

Sonny: Well, he hit my shipment. He trashed my warehouse. I don't know what he's gonna do next -- maybe go after my family, so, look, if I -- if I said to Julian, "hey, why don't we sit down and talk?" He'd laugh in my face.

Olivia: So, maybe you get someone else to talk to him for you.

Sonny: Who, Olivia?

Dante: You want me to talk to my father about helping us disappear?

Lulu: Yes. He'll help us get out of the country. We need to pack some supplies for Connie, and then we need to go to Sonny. He'll help us figure this out. He has underground connections all over the place. We got to go. Dante, we got to do this before it's too late.

[Knock on door]

Maxie: What happened? Are we getting our baby today?

Dante: Lulu, you need to -- you need to stop and think about what you're talking about here. We'd be abandoning our lives and raising our little girl as fugitives, okay? You really think you can live your life like that?

Lulu: Yeah. We'll be together. Can you really just stand here knowing that officials could arrive at any minute to rip our child away from us? Do you think that you can hand over our baby when they show up at our door?

[Knock on door]

Ava: Sam knows that her father is Julian Jerome? How? How did they find that out?

Derek: [Chuckles] Alexis had a DNA test done.

Ava: Well, that's impossible.

Derek: Mm.

Ava: Whose DNA did they compare Sam's to? Everybody thinks you're dead. Nobody knows that we're related, so they wouldn't have tested Kiki's. Everybody else in our family is dead.

Derek: I, uh, asked Alexis that, and, unfortunately, we got interrupted before she could answer.

Ava: If it wasn't your DNA that they compared to Sam's, then whose was it?

Delia: What's she like?

Sam: She's smart and really, really pretty. And she has a good heart.

Silas: A little boy crazy.

Delia: [Laughs]

Silas: But, you know, given that Ava's her mother, a lot less screwed-up than you'd think.

Delia: Oh, that's good. What's her name?

Silas: Well, she -- uh...she goes by Kiki.

Delia: [Laughs] Kiki. Kiki -- I love it. [Chuckles]

Silas: Really?

Delia: Yeah. [Sniffles]

Silas: I have a picture.

Delia: Could I see it, please?

Silas: Yeah.

Delia: [Chuckles]

Silas: Let's get this up here. There you go.

Delia: Oh, she's beautiful. You know, I-I see a little bit of me in her. And some of you, too.

Kiki: [Smooches] Tell me who the chef is.

Michael: If I don't tell you, will you keep doing this?

Kiki: If you don't tell me, I won't come back here.

Michael: Okay. All right. I was thinking of poaching the chef that Tracy hired to cook for the Quartermaines.

Kiki: Cook two?! From the mansion? Wow. Revenge, huh?

Michael: Well, he -- he wants out, so...

Kiki: [Laughs] I can't blame him.

Michael: Okay, so, I told you. So, are you gonna go back to doing what you were doing?

Kiki: Oh, of course. Right after I finish this.

Sonny: You want me to go to Dante?

Olivia: Yes. He's a cop, Sonny. Maybe he could help you work this thing out without going to such extremes.

Sonny: It's an extreme situation.

Olivia: But it doesn't have to be. Sonny, you -- you go to the cops. Maybe they can offer you some kind of protection. They can keep tabs on this guy.

Sonny: Listen to me. Julian Jerome has spent his whole life running away from the cops. Now he's Derek Wells, legitimate businessman, supposedly. Everybody thinks Julian Jerome is dead thanks to the WSB. Right?

Olivia: Okay.

Sonny: They gave him a whole new identity. How do I know they're not protecting him now?

Olivia: They wouldn't do that. Look at what he did to this place. The WSB isn't gonna get behind that.

Sonny: I can't prove that it's him.

Olivia: But if you point Dante in the right direction, maybe he can. Sonny, please, please, let Dante help you. Go to our son about this.

Dante: Hey. What happened?

Lulu: [Voice breaking] Are they coming to take the baby?

Alexis: No. The -- the judge turned down Diane's court order to take Connie and turn her over to Maxie and Spinelli. Lulu, no one is taking your baby from you. Not today.

Lulu: [Sighs] [Normal voice] Thank God.

Maxie: The judge...wouldn't grant our court order?

Spinelli: What was his explanation?

Diane: Alexis argued that to grant it would be premature. I, of course, countered, hard, that you are the baby's biological parents, but Alexis managed to convince the judge to let this whole thing play out in a custody suit in the courts.

Maxie: But she's our baby.

Spinelli: Uh, what is Dante and Lulu's strategy?

Maxie: They don't have one. How could they possibly think they could win custody of our child?

Diane: There's only one way they're gonna win this.

Maxie: How?

Diane: They're saying you're an unfit mother.

Derek: I have no idea whose DNA Alexis used to compare to Sam's. But she said she had definite proof.

Ava: She doesn't suspect anything about you, does she? Or us?

Derek: No. No. No one else does either, as far as I know. Except, of course, your little boy toy back there, which, I have to tell you, Ava, I'm not really happy about.

Morgan: What's it gonna take to convince you that I'm serious?

Derek: You really need to stop sneaking up on people.

Morgan: What can I say? I'm quiet. But seriously, dude, why -- why can't you just trust that I'm gonna be loyal to you?

Derek: Oh, so you just want me to -- to trust you?

Morgan: Yeah.

Derek: Well, sorry, dude. That's not gonna happen.

Sonny: Olivia, I get that you don't want anybody getting hurt.

Olivia: Sonny, we've both lost too much already.

Sonny: I agree, but you're not thinking this through. If I go to Dante and tell him that Derek Wells is Julian Jerome, he's gonna go after him. I don't want to use my son to protect me.

Olivia: Of course not. He's got the whole police force behind him, Sonny. Maybe even the WSB gets involved and makes this Jerome guy leave town.

Sonny: I don't want to do that, though. 'Cause he's got enough going on with his baby. I don't want Dante to be in the middle of my bad business.

Dante: So, uh, what -- what happens next?

Alexis: I filed the paperwork to sue Maxie and Spinelli for full custody. Now it has to be proven beyond a reasonable doubt that Maxie is an unfit mother. You need to cast doubt on her reputation and devastate the woman who is your best friend. Are you prepared to do that?

Maxie: Dante and Lulu are saying I'm unfit to be a mother? How can they do that?

Diane: It's the only way they can make a case for custody. It's a desperation play, Maxie, and I promise you, we are going to fight this hard. We're gonna prove that you have every right to that child.

Spinelli: I guess we should have expected something like this. I mean...they want our daughter as much as we do.

Maxie: But I'm fit. I'm her mother. I will be good to her. How could they think that I would do anything to hurt her or make her suffer?

Diane: Maxie, it's a necessary evil of the law that in order to prove one thing, you have --

Maxie: No. No! Whose idea was this? Lulu would not do something like this to me.

Diane: At the very least, Lulu had to approve Alexis' strategy.

Spinelli: Yeah. When I last saw Lulu, she made it clear that she and Dante were determined to keep Connie no matter what the cost.

Diane: Maxie, I don't want you to worry. I'm not gonna let this happen.

Spinelli: Thank you, Diane.

[Door opens, closes]

Maxie: I-I can't believe this. I can't believe that Lulu would do something like this.

Alexis: This fight is going to be painful and ugly. At the very least, you're going to destroy your friendship with Maxie, and you might destroy Maxie altogether. Do you want me to pursue this?

Lulu: Yeah. I'm ready.

Alexis: Okay. Then I'm gonna need you to start putting things down in writing -- anything you can think of that might prove Maxie to be unfit, including any evidence of past wrongdoing.

Lulu: [Sniffles] Okay. Yeah. We're on it.

Alexis: Okay. I'll be in touch as soon as we have a court date.

Lulu: Thank you, Alexis, so much.

Dante: Thanks, Alexis.

Lulu: You didn't say anything when Alexis asked if we would go after Maxie. Why not?

Dante: [Sighs]

Kiki: [Groans] Okay, okay, okay. We should stop. We should -- [Sighs] We shouldn't do this here. What were we think...

Michael: Right. It might be weird if somebody walked in. I mean, technically, this still is my dad's place.

Kiki: It sucks to be responsible. It really does.

Michael: Yeah.

Kiki: Right, Mr. Boss man?

Michael: Right. We still, uh -- still have dessert, though.

Kiki: Dessert? Okay. And we still do have some champagne.

Michael: [Sighs]

Kiki: Here's to you and your fabulous new restaurant.

Michael: And to you, the person who makes me want to be successful.

Derek: I mean, you say you'll be loyal, Morgan, but, uh, why should I trust your word just because you say I should?

Morgan: What does that mean?

Ava: I'd like to know that, as well. Are you threatening Morgan again?

Silas: You have a good eye. Kiki is my daughter.

Delia: So, Ava snagged herself a doctor.

Silas: We called it quits before Kiki was born.

Delia: So, you abandoned her, too.

Sam: No, no, no, no. He would never do that. Ava didn't tell him that she was pregnant.

Silas: I didn't even know I had a daughter until recently.

Delia: She didn't tell you had a kid? I know this sounds completely crazy, but I think that Ava would have been a lot better person if I had raised her.

Sam: Hey, you...thought you were doing the right thing by giving her up.

Delia: Yeah, well, what can you do? You know, it's spilled milk, huh? [Chuckles] What's done is done. Could you shoot me a picture of her? I'm gonna put my number in here.

Silas: Yeah, okay.

Delia: Okay. And would you tell my granddaughter that if she wants to come to New York, drinks are on her grandma?

Sam: Of course. And thank -- thank you, again. I really appreciate it.

Delia: Listen. I'm sorry I lied to you. It's just...I don't like talking about vic. You watch out for those Jeromes.

Derek: Just because I don't trust you doesn't mean I'm threatening you. Not even close.

Morgan: Okay, so what is this about then?

Derek: If you mean what you say, you're willing to go after your father, you're gonna have to prove it.

Sonny: Hey, hey, hey. I'm sorry, all right? I'm sorry I was so harsh. I-I got -- I got this Julian Jerome thing under control.

Olivia: Sonny, I'm afraid.

Sonny: I know.

Olivia: My cousin is gone, and I'm afraid we're gonna lose our grandbaby. I need to know that you're gonna be around for a long, long time.

Sonny: Be careful what you wish for, 'cause, uh, you might just start getting sick of me.

Olivia: Yeah. I'd like to have a chance to do that.

Sonny: I got to go in the back and get something.

Olivia: Yeah. You do whatever you need to do. Go.

Sonny: Try not to worry about me.

Olivia: [Chuckles] Yeah. [Sighs]

Dante: This whole tearing Maxie apart in court -- it just -- it just feels a little weird.

Lulu: Well, losing Connie makes me feel worse.

[Cell phone rings]

Dante: It's my mom. Hey, ma.

Olivia: Dante, are you free?

Dante: Um, sure. Why? What's wrong?

Olivia: Nothing. I just need to talk to you. Uh...can you meet me on the pier near your father's warehouse?

Dante: Yep. Yeah. I'll be right there.

Lulu: Something wrong?

Dante: No. [Clears throat] No emergency. She just wants to talk, so maybe I'll take Connie. I know my mom would like to see her.

Lulu: Okay. Yeah. Time with her grandmother would be good. Um, just keep her really warm, okay?

Dante: Okay. We'll put this up, yeah? We'll do that. Okay. Want to give mommy a kiss?

Lulu: [Smooches] [Sniffles] I will, uh, get started on that list of things that Maxie has done in her life that will prove that she's unfit to raise our little girl. You know that list is gonna be a long one, so...

Spinelli: Maxie, I found a couple of your favorites in the freezer -- triple-chocolate mousse ice cream and... Maxie? Maxie?

Lulu: I'm not gonna feel guilty. Maxie started this. I am Connie's mother. She is my daughter. I can take better care of her than Maxie ever could. I can never let her take my baby from me.

[Knock on door]

Lulu: One sec.

Maxie: How could you do this to me? How could you?
