Sabrina: [Chuckles] Where am I?
Patrick: In my bed.
Sabrina: So, I'm not dreaming. Hmm? This actually happened?
Patrick: It did.
Patrick: But if you don't believe me, I would love to prove it again.
Sam: Jason, please give me and Danny strength to get through this.
[Elevator bell dings]
Silas: I would, uh, like an update on a patient -- Daniel Morgan.
Nurse: General hospital ICU.
Carly: Yes, I'm -- I'm calling about a patient.
Nurse: Which patient?
Carly: Uh, Olivia Falconeri.
Nurse: I'm sorry, sir. Are you family?
Silas: What do you think? How is the boy? Has his doctor been in to see him this morning?
Carly: Yeah. I'm, um, her daughter-in-law, Lulu Falconeri.
Nurse: Daniel is scheduled to receive some, uh, test results. I'll check the chart and see --
Sam: Oh, no, no, no, no. No, you won't. This man is not family. Far from it.
Carly: Uh, Olivia had surgery, and I just was calling to see how she's doing.
Nurse: I'm sorry. Who did you say you were?
Carly: Lulu Falconeri.
Nurse: That's strange, because I'm looking at Mrs. Falconeri, and, uh...she's not on the phone.
Dante: You gave this to me at my first communion. Remember that? It just kind of sat in a drawer ever since then. [Sighs] It's getting a workout lately, though. [Chuckles] First Lulu and now you. It's not a competition, you know? So, uh, don't leave me hanging as long as she did. Just open your eyes and come back to us, okay?
Lulu: [Smooches] She will.
Carly: Okay, um, I'm not Lulu, but, um, my ex-husband is the father of Olivia's son, which makes my son Olivia's son's half-brother, and so that makes us family. We...
Anna: You've been here all night. Keep your strength up so we can continue our discussion. Where did we leave off? Oh, yeah. You were about to tell me about the hit that you ordered on Franco.
Franco: You're Alexis Davis, aren't you? You are. Yeah. I recognize you from your photo. I mean, we've never met, but Danny, my nephew -- you're his grandmother. I've never met Danny, either. But, uh, spitting image of his dad, don't you think? I mean, there are parts of him that do resemble his uncle, don't you think? Right? This is my good side. This is my great side.
Alexis: Yeah, I devoutly pray he doesn't have any of your sides.
Franco: Oh, come on. Kid's likely to grow up to be an artist -- you know, a photographer or a painter or a killer. I mean, Jason took contract killing to the level of an art form, don't you think? I mean, as far as I know, he only failed in killing once, and aren't we all so lucky that he failed to kill me?
Alexis: Actually, I'm seriously disappointed that he didn't finish the job.
Franco: Well, sorry to disappoint you, but here I am, alive and well, despite all recent efforts to the contrary.
Carly: Can I have my phone back, please?
[Cell phone clatters on the floor]
Shawn: Give me one good reason why I shouldn't strangle you right now.
Patrick: What now? Not thinking about Felix again, are you?
Sabrina: No. It's just...ooh. This is gonna take some getting used to.
Sabrina: Yeah. I never thought I'd be here with you. And now I am.
Patrick: Never thought?
Patrick: Never, never, never imagined?
Sabrina: No! Well, I mean, imagined -- yeah. Maybe once or twice. But it was fleeting.
Patrick: Once or twice?
Sabrina: Yeah. It seemed presumptuous, not to mention far-fetched.
Patrick: So, does the, uh... reality live up to the fantasy?
Sabrina: [Chuckles] Oh, well, um... I don't know. You never really know what it's gonna be like to be close to someone. I mean, at least, not in my limited experience.
Patrick: You're wonderful. Yes.
Patrick: Caring and generous, open, and so very sexy.
Sabrina: [Chuckles] My God, I'm blushing.
Patrick: I just want to make sure you're enjoying yourself.
Sabrina: Are you asking for a review?
Patrick: Hmm. Not a review, but, I mean, your...ex-boyfriend kept you happy for so long that I just want to make sure that --
Sabrina: I am thoroughly enjoying myself. And I'd love to continue to do so if I didn't have to get to work.
Patrick: Mm, work.
Patrick: Yeah, I know. I could spend the whole morning here, too, but...I have a patient -- a friend, actually, that needs some test results.
Sam: What the hell do you think you're doing? You can't pry into my son's medical records without my permission.
Silas: I'm not prying. I'm following up, since a lot of people seem to have trouble comprehending Danny's symptoms.
Sam: I already had an appointment with his pediatrician.
Silas: The one who thought Danny had a cold? Did you have his bone marrow biopsied?
Sam: Yeah, I did. And not because of your recommendation.
Silas: Nuanced. Did it confirm my suspicions?
Sam: I'll find out today.
Silas: Then you need to prepare yourself, Sam, because the results are only gonna give you one answer, and it's not the one you want.
Alexis: I'm not surprised that someone went after you. It's just so disconcerting that no one else has considering the level of damage that you've inflicted.
Franco: You're hot. You look great up there on your high horse. I would love to photograph you with a low angle -- super moody, clothing optional.
Alexis: Go away... before I kill you myself.
Franco: Well, I hope you have better aim than last night's would-be assassin.
Alexis: What is that supposed to mean?
Franco: Couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. Olivia Falconeri, on the other hand...
Lulu: Connie is out hounding the doctors for details on Olivia's prognosis. Have you spoken to them yet?
Dante: Not since the surgery. Uh, nurse said the doctor would be making the rounds soon. [Sighs] He said the first 24 hours were critical. We're in -- we're 12 hours in.
Lulu: You know, one of the, uh -- one of the first things that I realized about your mother was that she is tough. She's resilient. Anyone who could survive Heather Webber and your adolescence can handle a little gunshot wound.
Dante: I was a pretty well-behaved teenager... Comparatively. I never -- I never got arrested. Came close one -- one particular time.
Lulu: Close? Really? How close?
Dante: Doesn't matter. It wasn't my fault.
Lulu: Oh, I think every perp says that.
Dante: [Chuckles] I just -- I just I can't believe this is happening.
Lulu: Have you talked to Anna?
Dante: Not since she took Sonny into custody last night.
Anna: You know, other than Heather Webber, I can't imagine anyone wanting Olivia dead. Franco, on the other hand -- they'd be lining up to buy tickets for his funeral. You brought a -- brought a gun on him, didn't you, the other day, on the Haunted Star? Yeah. And then you come here to the PCPD wanting to confront him. Look, I warned you against it, but you wouldn't listen. Now the mother of your son has paid the price. So, the CSU -- they determined that the shot was fired from a hotel room overlooking the terrace restaurant, and since you were present when the shots were fired, you obviously didn't pull the trigger. I'm just wondering -- maybe one of your men did.
Carly: I don't like your tone.
Shawn: Oh, you're not going anywhere.
Carly: You want me to call Security?
Shawn: Go ahead. Call the cops, too. I'm sure they'd love to hear my story.
Carly: What story's that?
Shawn: Look, drop the act. You're not gonna play me again.
Carly: I don't know what you mean.
Shawn: Look, did you or did you not tell me Sonny signed off on taking Franco out?
Carly: Yes. We discussed it. Remember? You were there.
Shawn: Was it or was it not a lie, Carly?
Carly: Sonny came up with the whole idea, okay? He paid off the DA, so Franco could be out on the street. You were there. He brought you in on this.
Shawn: And he called it off.
Carly: So Sonny and I had a difference of opinion on timing.
Shawn: Sonny called it off, Carly! You put it back on!
Carly: Franco needed to die.
Shawn: What the hell are you thinking?!
Carly: I was thinking about protecting my family. And Sonny wouldn't do it, so I did it.
Shawn: By dragging me into it and going against Sonny's wishes?
Carly: It had to be done, and I knew you wouldn't act without Sonny's say-so.
Shawn: So you lied. You manipulated me!
Carly: I didn't know what else to do.
Shawn: [Chuckles] You could stay the hell out of it like he asked.
Carly: That man threatened my kids twice. I wasn't gonna stay the hell out of it. It's too late now.
Shawn: Yeah. Maybe for you, too, if you're not careful. You know, my advice to you -- you might want to take a long trip before Sonny finds you.
Carly: Sonny knows.
Shawn: Oh, yeah. He knows. He knows what happened and how bad it went. You know, I'm surprised he hasn't come here yet to kill you.
Anna: The job of executing Franco would have normally fallen to Jason...If your business hadn't already claimed his life. So I wonder -- who was it? Who stepped up to take over and go after Franco? Oh, come on. Just make this easy on us, couldn't you -- on Dante, on Olivia, on everybody?
Sonny: It wasn't me!
Sam: You don't know what the test results are gonna say.
Silas: After they confirm that Danny has acute lymphocytic leukemia, he'll need induction therapy -- chemotherapy -- to eradicate the cancer cells. Now, the best way to administer this treatment to a child Danny's age is a spinal tap. It delivers a payload of drugs directly into the cerebrospinal fluid, stopping the cancer from spreading into the central nervous system.
Sam: Why are you telling me this?
Silas: Your little boy is sick, Sam. His survival may depend on it. Now, on top of chemotherapy, they may need to consider radiation, even if it affects the cognitive --
Sam: Are you deliberately trying to be cruel, or were you just born without any empathy?
Silas: If that's a shot at my so-called bedside manner, you're missing the point.
Sam: Yeah, so-called bedside manner.
Silas: If I'm curt, it's because time is no longer on our side. Would you rather have me hold your hand and whisper silly things, or do you want me to prepare you for what you are about to face and tell you the truth?
Sam: I will choose door number three -- shut the hell up and leave me and my son alone.
Patrick: Oh. Kicking it old-school with the glasses, huh?
Sabrina: Yeah. Forgot to bring my lens case last night, so I put my contacts in a cup of water. I accidentally spilled it down the sink.
Patrick: Guess it's better than drinking it.
Sabrina: Yeah, well, I'm gonna have to tell Felix that. You know, I love him, but sometimes...he can be a little controlling. I can't even put my hair up without him confiscating all of my clips.
Patrick: Oh, forget Felix. I think the glasses are sexy.
Sabrina: Really? In what universe?
Patrick: In this universe.
Patrick: If I didn't, would I be doing this? Hmm? I shouldn't have started doing that. 'Cause I'm not gonna want to stop, and I'm already late.
Sabrina: [Chuckles] You know what? You go ahead. Go. I'll pick Emma up.
Patrick: It's already done.
Patrick: I called Duke when you were in the shower.
Sabrina: Oh? Did she have a good time with Anna and Duke last night?
Patrick: Yeah. She said she had a great time... until the shooting started.
Alexis: Olivia Falconeri was shot?
Franco: Well, one minute, she's standing there. The next minute, she's on the floor.
Alexis: And you were there.
Franco: Of course. Carly and I had just arrived, just looked at our menus.
Alexis: Carly agreed to have dinner with you?
Franco: [Chuckles] Are you kidding? It was her idea. And how could I say "No" and give up the opportunity to piss off so many people, including Sonny who showed up table side, threatening to drag Carly away by her hair? And then Olivia rushes out all aggravated about something, and then -- she's on the ground.
Alexis: Sounds like the shot was meant for Sonny.
Franco: No. Given the angle of the shot and where I was seated, I'm pretty sure the shot was meant for me, and let's face facts. Who would want to kill Olivia? I mean, her accent is cloying, but motive for murder?
Alexis: Did the police make an arrest?
Franco: Yeah. Oh, you haven't heard. Yeah, your number-one client -- Sonny Corinthos.
Anna: Calm down.
Sonny: You want me to calm down? Then don't lock me up all night and come here and suggest that I had something to do with the mother of my son getting shot. I know what you're doing. I've been around the block. You're trying to make me feel responsible for something I didn't do.
Anna: Well, if you didn't do it, why don't you help me figure out who did it?
Sonny: That's your job, not mine. Now, my job is to go to the hospital and be with Olivia and Dante. They need me.
Anna: I sympathize. Really, I do. But when I look at my list of suspects, you're the one with the most reason. And you assumed, somewhat naively, I think, that whoever you put in his position would be able to perform at the same level, but they didn't.
Sonny: I didn't send anyone.
Anna: And I know that this outcome is not what you intended, but Olivia would never have been shot if you hadn't been trying to kill Franco in the first place.
Sonny: I'm not gonna cop to something I didn't do!
Anna: All right!
Sonny: So, either you charge me or you let me go to the hospital to be with Olivia.
Lulu: Do you really think that your father could have had something to do with this?
Dante: Okay, look, the bullet trajectory from the hotel room where we found the shell casing is a -- it's a straight shot to where Franco was sitting.
Lulu: Sonny had plenty of motive.
Dante: Yeah. And apparently, he wanted to kill Franco at the Haunted Star the other night. And you know what? Part of me really wishes he did, because then someone wouldn't take a shot at Franco at the Metro Court and my mother wouldn't have walked into the line of fire.
Lulu: You know, Sonny wasn't the only one. There are a lot of people that hate Franco.
Dante: Yeah, but do they hate him enough to take a shot at this guy on a public terrace?
Carly: You misunderstood Sonny. He's gonna understand that I had to do what I had --
Shawn: The only thing we understand is Olivia may die.
Carly: [Voice breaking] I am so sorry that Olivia got hurt.
Shawn: Well, you know what? Sorry won't -- won't put Olivia back together again. It won't unshoot the bullet. It won't appease me, Sonny, or Alexis.
Carly: [Normal voice] What the hell does Alexis have to do with any of this?
Shawn: Look, I had to lie to Alexis to cover for last night. Oh, she knew I wasn't being honest, so sooner or later, Alexis is gonna figure it out, and then what? Huh? You know what? Maybe it won't matter. Maybe Sonny will have me killed first.
Carly: Sonny's not gonna kill you or anyone.
Shawn: Yeah, you just keep telling yourself that. I pulled the trigger and you put it in motion. You know, if Olivia doesn't pull through, maybe we won't, either.
Anna: I understand why you're upset. An innocent woman has been shot -- a member of your own family. And I am sorry for the turmoil that this is putting you and your loved ones through.
Sonny: Could have fooled me.
Anna: Yeah, well, I'm a police officer, not a social worker. And I'm looking for the person who shot Olivia.
Sonny: Well, you're gonna have to look somewhere else, because you're wasting my time, you're wasting your time, and that just -- I don't know what else to tell you at this point.
Anna: Why we were on the terrace last night?
Sonny: Do you really want to do this? 'Cause where's my lawyer?
Anna: You know, we tried to call Alexis, but I guess we have the old number or something.
Sonny: You want to keep violating my rights? Is that what you want to do? You just -- come on. Just let me go, will you?
Anna: All right. You can go. Something went very wrong last night, and you can keep stonewalling me, but I will get Olivia's shooter no matter who it is.
Sonny: I hope you do.
Patrick: Emma wasn't in any danger.
Anna: The bullet that shot Olivia was fired from a high-powered rifle from a window overlooking the terrace restaurant. Dr. Drake. Yes. I'll be right there.
Sabrina: Is that the hospital?
Patrick: Yeah. Test results came back.
Sam: If you come near me or my son, if you try to interfere in his treatment in any way, I will have you arrested. Do you understand?
Silas: I'm trying to help your son.
Sam: Nobody asked you.
Silas: You have my number. When you calm down and you realize your son's survival requires the opinions of the best doctors available... at that point, give me a call.
Sam: Oh, go to hell.
Silas: Conversely, I will never hold your negative attitude against Danny.
Alexis: Sonny's in custody?
Franco: Someone should have called you.
Alexis: Yeah. Somebody should have called me. Although there's really not a chance in hell that he shot Olivia.
Franco: Olivia wasn't the target. I was. Don't forget that. And Sonny was table side, so everybody's pretty sure he wasn't the shooter. Although it does not preclude the fact that it was one of his pals, and I think that's the theory that the police have embraced. Oh. Either way, it's a good thing I retained Ms. Miller to represent me and not you.
Alexis: [Laughs] Trust me. That wasn't an option.
Franco: Well, it's just as well. You don't seem overly diligent when it comes to your clients. I mean, here one of your clients is in custody, and you're here chasing your boyfriend, Shawn, right? If you'll excuse me, here's Ms. Miller now. I'm hoping someday that she allows me to call her Diane, but, for now, I'll just have to settle for being free.
Alexis: [Chuckles] Free.
Franco: So far. You'll have to excuse me. I have to go see a dame about a dismissal.
Alexis: That wasn't Sonny on the phone. Who was it?
Shawn: TJ. You know, he -- he's in a pretty bad place over the Molly thing. You know, I had to talk him down.
Alexis: TJ called me while you were consoling him. He said he never got ahold of you, and you didn't even speak.
Alexis: You're a liar. And what business would make you do something like that?
[Back to present]
Alexis: Oh, God.
Dante: I don't know who hurt my mother. This is not the first time someone has caught a bullet because of Sonny. [Sniffles] The man is my father, and I have grown to love him, but if he's in any way responsible for this...I will not stop until he's prosecuted and put away for life.
Sonny: Hey. Olivia. Sorry it took so long. I was, uh, praying for you and thinking about you. She used to tell me to go to church -- get my butt to church. But I never -- I never listened.
Sonny: I tell you what -- I'll say a hundred thousand Hail Marys if it means that you're gonna wake up. No change?
Sonny: [Sighs] [Sniffles] I heard the last part of what you said.
Sonny: And I-I swear to you on my children's souls I had nothing to do with this.
Dante: Then who did?
[Elevator bell dings]
Sam: Patrick. Patrick, hi. I'm so glad you're here.
Sam: I've been climbing the walls waiting for Dr. Singh to show up with, uh -- with Danny's test results.
Patrick: Yeah. I have a copy of them here. I wanted to look at them before we meet with Dr. Singh.
Sam: Oh, you do?
Sam: Oh, good. Please. Tell me. There's nothing to worry about, right? I mean, tell me Danny's gonna be okay.
Diane: Honey, don't forget we have an appointment in court today. The judge is going to rule on --
Alexis: Sam's not gonna be able to make it.
Diane: Okay, well, if Sam doesn't want to continue as Rafe's foster parent, all she needs to do is sign a petition.
Alexis: Sam's in the hospital. Danny may have leukemia.
Diane: No! No, not Danny.
Alexis: I got to go. I have to go to the hospital.
Diane: Okay. Yes. Yes. I'll, uh -- I'll get a continuance. Don't worry about anything. You just go be with your daughter. Oh, God.
Franco: My nephew, Danny, is sick?
Diane: Like you care?
Franco: Of course, I care.
[Cell phone rings]
Anna: [Sighs] Commissioner Devane.
Alexis: Anna, it's Alexis. Are you holding Sonny in connection with the shooting at the Metro Court?
Anna: Uh, he's been questioned and released.
Alexis: How long was he in custody?
Anna: Uh, since last night.
Alexis: Based on what evidence?
Anna: He was a person of interest.
Alexis: You know, it was standard practice for the old regime to pull Sonny in for any shooting regardless of the evidence or lack thereof. I was hoping this new regime would be different.
Anna: Yeah, well, we have the right to hold Sonny for 48 hours without charging him. He got out in 8. Overall, I'd say we were pretty accommodating.
Alexis: And the shooter?
Anna: I have no information to release at this time. Thank you.
Shawn: You wanted to see me?
Anna: Yeah. Sit down.
Shawn: What's this about?
Anna: Well, I have questions for you. Sit down.
Shawn: Okay. Will this take long? I'm supposed to be at work.
Anna: Oh, at Kelly's? Or would this be for Sonny?
Shawn: [Sighs] You said you had questions.
Anna: Yeah. You are aware of the events that took place last night at the restaurant at the Metro Court Hotel?
Shawn: Yeah. It's been all over the television. I mean, what has it got to do with me?
Anna: That depends.
Shawn: On what?
Anna: If you can account for your whereabouts when Olivia Falconeri was shot.
Dante: I want to believe you're innocent. But I know the way you think. And I know that Franco hurt Michael, and you are not gonna let him get away with that. Everyone knows that if someone hurts your kids, you're gonna make them pay. And what better opportunity than last night? I mean, hell, you might have even been a decoy for the sniper to get Franco up off his feet, so he could have clear shot of him. And you didn't expect my mother to come in there, have one of her crazy visions, and to --
Sonny: Excuse me.
Dante: What are you talking about?
Sonny: Just stay with your mom.
Carly: Oh, come on. What is taking the elevator so long? [Sighs]
Sonny: Where are you running off to? You're not gonna pay your respects to Olivia? I know what you did.
Anna: Where were you last night?
Shawn: What, you think I had something to do with Olivia getting shot?
Anna: Oh, I think Olivia took a bullet meant for Franco.
Shawn: Come on. I hardly knew the man.
Anna: From what I understand, you were hired by Jason Morgan to protect Carly and her family from Franco.
Shawn: I was hired to protect them from any and all threats.
Anna: Yeah, and I can see why, 'cause you have quite the skill set. You're a Marine and a mercenary, and now you're using those skills to work for Sonny.
Shawn: Okay. Is there a question in there somewhere?
Anna: Yeah. Here's a question for you. You're a trained marksman. Is that correct?
Shawn: Yeah. What of it?
Anna: The bullet that shot Olivia was fired from a high-powered rifle from a window overlooking the terrace restaurant. Now, none of Sonny's known associates could handle a shot like that. Except you.
Shawn: [Chuckles] Now, according to your theory, the person that took that shot missed.
Anna: Yeah. How did it feel to have Franco in your sights? Did you get that hunter's rush with your finger on the trigger? And then Olivia came between you and your quarry just as you let the bullet loose. How did it feel to see that bullet tear through Olivia's flesh and bone instead of Franco's? Yeah. Well...whatever the feeling, it's certainly familiar to you, isn't it? It's not the first time you've spilled innocent blood.
Dante: What the hell was that?! He comes in here, says he's praying by my mother's bedside, then he -- then he swears on the souls of his children that he had nothing to do with her --
Lulu: It sounded like a serious vow. Maybe he meant it.
Dante: Okay. Then where did he go? Where is he now?
Lulu: Maybe he remembered something.
Dante: Or he's afraid that I figured it out.
Dante: What if Sonny meant to be on the terrace last night? What if he -- he wanted to go there to confront Franco, to get him on the feet, so the sniper could have a clear shot, and then my mother got in the way.
Lulu: Look at me. Hey, you can't do this. You can't focus on who's to blame and how you're gonna make them pay. Right now -- right now, you need to focus on your mom. Because she needs you. And all of the rest of that stuff can wait.
Dante: [Chuckles] [Sighs] [Sniffles] Okay. Then where's that damn doctor?
Lulu: Just stay here. I'm gonna go find out what's going on.
Sonny: I told you to say away from Franco, that it wasn't safe, that I would deal with him when the time was right. But you didn't do that, did you? You took matters into your own hands. You went behind my back and used my employee to do the very thing I told you not to do. And now Olivia's fighting for her life because of you.
Carly: Sonny, listen to me.
Sonny: Shut up! And listen. You're gonna pay attention, 'cause I'm not gonna say this more than once. You have gone too far, and I've had it. Now...you are the mother of my children. So is Olivia. It's very simple. If she dies, you die.
Franco: Do you believe in redemption?
Diane: From a legal standpoint? Well, that remains to be seen.
Franco: No. I'm talking about from a personal standpoint.
Diane: Mr. Frank, you pay me for legal representation. Now, if you feel the need for a psychiatric consultation, which, by the way, I think you need, then I will be happy to make a referral.
Franco: I don't believe in psychiatry.
Diane: Well, you have a raft of charges still pending against you. And it is up to me to prepare your case using every means at my disposal, and if that includes a psychiatrist's testimony, then so be it.
Franco: Isn't there an alternative?
Diane: You either do what I say, or you spend the rest of your unnatural life in prison.
Franco: Well, at this point, I'd probably be safer behind bars.
Diane: [Chuckling] Why is that?
Franco: Oh, you didn't hear. Someone tried to murder me last night.
Diane: Sonny? Oh, actually, hold that thought. I need to speak with another client.
Franco: You have another client?
Diane: Learn to share. Consider this a milestone in your personal evolution. Dr. Silas, I am hoping you can extend your stay in Port Charles for just a couple of days. I'm gonna have to ask for a continuance in Rafe's custody hearing.
Diane: Because neither Alexis or Sam can make it today. Sam's son might be seriously ill.
Silas: No "might" about it.
Alexis: I'm sorry I'm late. I got held up.
Sam: No. It -- it's okay, Mom. Actually, Dr. Singh isn't here yet, but Patrick has the results of the biopsy.
Patrick: I just think it's better that we wait for Dr. Singh.
Sam: Please, Patrick. Come on. I need to know. Patrick? Does my son have leukemia or not? Patrick?
Patrick: I'm sorry, Sam.
Alexis: All right. So, we have the diagnosis. What's next?
Patrick: I'm not an expert. I think it's better we wait for Dr. Singh to discuss Danny's treatment options.
Sam: Induction therapy to destroy the cancer cells? Chemotherapy via spinal tap. And then maybe radiation?
Alexis: How do you know all that?
Sam: I just do.
Silas: I am aware of Danny's condition. I brought it to Sam's attention.
Diane: Well, thank you for that. Yes, Danny Morgan is a very special little boy, and I-I'm sure you will agree to a continuance, and I have no doubt that the court, of course, will grant it for you.
Silas: No continuance.
Diane: Yes, but I just told you that Sam's son is facing a potential cancer diagnosis.
Silas: It's not potential. Danny has leukemia. But there will be no continuance. I want a ruling today as scheduled.
Diane: Dr. Clay, as your attorney, I-I must remind you that you've got to convince the judge -- especially as a single, childless man -- that you are compassionate, that you have empathy, and that --
Silas: Consider this -- I'm doing Sam a favor. Danny needs his mother's full attention.
Diane: To rip her -- to rip her foster child away from her at the moment that she might be losing her biological child?
Silas: What does one thing have to do with the other?
Sonny: Lulu. Hi.
Lulu: I'm sorry. I didn't mean to interrupt. I was -- I was just looking for Olivia's doctor.
Anna: I'm referring to your friendly fire incident that resulted in your dishonorable discharge. Now, you opened fire in what turned out to be an unsafe position in front of an embedded journalist, no less. And, uh...you hit one of your own men, and he died.
Shawn: Yes, he did.
Anna: And you opted for a dishonorable discharge in lieu of a full court-martial.
Shawn: That is correct.
Anna: That must have been devastating, really, to take the life of a fellow Marine. It must still weigh on you. I mean, why else would you take TJ in? Because it was his father that you killed, wasn't it?
Shawn: That's right.
Anna: Yeah. You wanted to do right by the man you shot.
Anna: So, my question to you, Shawn, is how are you gonna do right by Olivia?
Lulu: I just talked to the nurse, and there will be a doctor here in a minute.
Dante: [Sighs] Uh, did you see Sonny?
Lulu: Um, yeah. Yeah, I did.
Lulu: He was in the middle of something with Carly.
Dante: What do you mean?
Lulu: I couldn't hear what they were saying, but it was -- it was really intense.
Carly: I am sorry. I'm so sorry about what happened to Olivia.
Sonny: I don't want to hear it. I just want you to know what's at stake for you here.
Carly: Really? Really, Sonny?
Franco: Oh! Hey! Well, well, well. Gang's all here.
Anna: You're not a bad guy, Shawn. You saved my life when that Cassadine assassin came after us in the park, and I'm grateful for that -- very. And I know that the shot you fired that killed TJ's father -- that was an accident, too. It was a mistake based on a wrongful order from a superior, much the same circumstances that have put Olivia in the hospital. Sonny ordered the hit on Franco, and Olivia's injury is the accidental result. Now, I'm giving you an opportunity to make this right. You can just confess to your involvement, and you can start to make amends. Tell me what happened.
Shawn: Are you gonna charge me, Commissioner? No? Yeah, well, I have nothing else to say.
Anna: Don't leave town. Got it?
Franco: I just stopped by to check on Olivia Falconeri. Is she receiving visitors yet?
Sonny: You know what? You take one step in her direction, you will be dying for days.
Franco: You two already tried that -- completely messed it up. Yeah, that's right. I know you two are behind my almost assassination. But don't worry. As I told Carly, my lips are sealed... for now. Be seeing you around, Sonny. You too, Carly.
