[Franco clears throat]
[Franco groans and groans]
[Cell phone ringing]
[Ring, ring, ring]
Jason: You 100% sure it was Franco?
Max: Yeah. The guy came out of nowhere about 20 minutes ago. Walked right past our car, straight into the studio. He's not trying to hide from anybody.
Sam: You and Milo watched his place all night?
Max: Yeah, since both of you left last night.
Jason: Did he see you?
Max: Here's the weird part -- guy gets to his building, opens his door, he turns back around and waves at me.
Jason: Franco wants me to know he's waiting.
Sonny: You need coffee? 'Cause what I'm picking -- I'm going to need some coffee.
Carly: Guess what Michael did yesterday.
Carly: This would be after he skipped school, missed his first quarter exam, and stopped by the -- well, where the cabin used to be. But you already know all that. This would also be after he yelled at Lucky at my house and let it slip that Claudia's dead. He went to Jake’s. Yeah. He went to Jake’s, and Coleman had to call Jason, and Jason showed up to see Michael confronting Lucky. He came this close to incriminating himself, Sonny.
Sonny: He didn't, right?
Carly: Michael's spinning out of control, and there's only one way to help him -- I'm going to make sure the truth comes out about Claudia, if I have to dig up her body myself.
Rebecca: Good morning, Elizabeth. Lucky and I were just talking about you.
Sam: Franco's ready for you to find him, because letting Max and Milo see him is almost sort of like an invitation. And I am not liking this at all.
Jason: He's playing games with me.
Sam: Yeah. Well, you should have just said "hello" to him to begin with, and we wouldn't be going through all this trouble.
Jason: Okay. So Franco obviously has some kind of fascination with me. I go to the opening, he wants to meet me, but I refuse.
Sam: Which probably doesn't happen to him very often.
Jason: Right. Then you get the idea, let's go to the art gallery, get some information, and of course, Franco's one step ahead of us, and he leaves me this painting.
Sam: Yes, he does, which is loaded with clues of where to find him.
Jason: Yeah. Well, I'm going over there right now --
Sam: No, no, no. No, you are not. That is not a good idea.
Sam: Franco planned this out carefully. The last thing you should do is cooperate.
Jason: I don't see any other choice, Sam. I got to find out what this guy wants. More importantly, I need to find out what he knows. He must have seen something. And if that's the case, there's a chance he knows that Michael killed Claudia.
Sam: Yeah, Jason, but what if you're walking into a trap?
Dominic: I appreciate you inviting me for breakfast. It's very efficient of us to eat a Danish and walk it off at the same time.
Lulu: Maybe I just want to keep my eye on you.
Dominic: Mmm. So I don't go and bust Sonny right this second?
Lulu: Well, you can't. Jax erased the recording of Sonny confessing to Claudia's murder. I think you should take that as a sign.
Dominic: Look, this whole investigation has gotten more complicated than I ever expected, but I'm not going to give up.
Lulu: Well, I think if you wanted to bust Sonny, you would have done it a long time ago.
Dominic: I -- look, I know this has been kind of tough on you, lulu, but it's going to happen, and you should know that I appreciate that you've been keeping quiet.
Lulu: My coffee's getting cold.
Dominic: Wow. Wait a minute. That's it.
Dominic: Man. I finally remembered where I've seen this tag before. It was in downtown Manhattan. You know Tribeca?
Lulu: Yeah. Yeah. I know where it is.
Dominic: Yeah. When I was a rookie cop, I busted a guy for spray painting the exact same thing half a block from a major crime scene.
Carly: We tried it your way. It's not working. I want to call Diane. I want to put together a deal, go to the police, and tell them where Claudia is buried --
Sonny: No. No way.
Carly: We have to take control of this situation before someone else does.
Sonny: Okay. You always do this. You overreact. You think up some crazy plan, and then you do exactly the wrong thing.
Carly: First of all, that's not true. Don't patronize me. Wanting to help Michael is not wrong, and bringing in Diane on this is not some crazy plan.
Sonny: How about when you set me up for the FBI? What was that? Was that a crazy plan?
Carly: You're really going to bring that up?
Sonny: No --
Carly: You're really going to bring that up right now?
Sonny: You overreacted then like you're overreacting now. That's the point.
Carly: If we continue to hide this, it's going to make things worse for Michael.
Sonny: I am not turning Michael over to the cops.
Carly: So what's your plan? What are you going to do, Sonny? Let's hear it. Come on. What's Sonny going to do to protect his son?
Johnny: Bourbon, please. Make it neat. Start a bottle.
Coleman: Compadré, I'm not even open yet.
Johnny: Make an exception.
Coleman: You want to go on a bender, you can wait till I open, or you can go elsewhere.
Johnny: Elsewhere? I got no elsewhere, not anymore.
Coleman: What about Olivia?
Johnny: Like I said.
Coleman: Oh, come on, now. You two make a place like this livable. Man, honky-tonk love of the highest order, and it all started right here in this room, my man.
Johnny: Olivia's in love with Sonny.
Coleman: Dumped for the boss man. That's got to hurt.
Johnny: Not dumped. She swears up and down she loves me. She just loves him, too.
Coleman: And the problem with that would be what? I mean, look at you, man. You're all upset because you don't get to be the one and only? Most of us don't. You're thinking about dumping a good woman like Olivia just 'cause she's got a little itch for someone else, then you need a hell of a lot more than bourbon for breakfast, brother.
Lucky: Hey. I just took Rebecca's statement.
Rebecca: Yeah, such as it is. I mean, how many times have you and Elizabeth told your kids to look both ways before crossing the street?
Lucky: More than once, I'd say.
Rebecca: I can't believe I ran out into the middle of the street without even looking, Lucky. I feel like such a klutz.
Lucky: I'm just glad you're here to tell us about it. You were pretty out of it when they brought you into the E.R.
Rebecca: Edward and Michael were so worried. I just feel awful for putting them through it. And Edward kept saying how he lost Emily and he couldn't lose me, too.
Lucky: This isn't relevant to your police statement. I'm just curious, as a friend. Why were you in such a hurry to get to my house last night?
Rebecca: I was heading over to your house on total impulse.
Lucky: Oh, I wish you had called me first. I wasn't even there.
Rebecca: Ah. I couldn't believe how Nikolas was acting, and I wanted to talk to you about it.
Lucky: He and Ethan got into it at the Haunted Star last night. Probably hadn't heard about that.
Rebecca: No, no, but that doesn't surprise me, because he hasn't been himself lately, and I really wanted to talk to you about what's going on.
Lucky: I'm not sure I could have been much help.
Rebecca: Well, after I talked to you, Lucky, I went out to Wyndemere, and I got a big surprise.
Lucky: What happened?
Rebecca: Um -- let's just say that I finally realized that Nikolas and I are over, that we never had anything real, and that I was never the one he wanted.
Lucky: I guess it's pretty impossible to compete with a ghost.
Rebecca: See, I used to believe that, too, but lately, Nikolas has been very focused on the here and now. And he doesn't seem to care about what happened before or who it might hurt. I guess the accident's a perfect metaphor for me and Nikolas. He used me up, and then, he ran me over. [Laughs]
Johnny: Who's that for?
Coleman: Well, good morning, Ms. Falconeri.
Johnny: You've got to be kidding me.
Coleman: You've got a woman who'll drop everything to come and see about you, man. You've got no problem, buddy. You can thank me later, man.
Johnny: I don't need some bartender running interference, trying to play cupid, all right?
Coleman: You know what, John, the way I see it, you need all the help you can get. But what I don't need is you getting hammered and trashing the place. All right? I mean, you want to hit the ivories, do a few love songs, that's just fine, but what you really need to do is be grateful for what you've got.
Olivia: So you're starting out on a bender. Want to tell me why?
Johnny: You came running in here to save me. You want to tell me why?
Sonny: You want to hear all the reasons why Michael can't confess? I'll tell you. Jason cleaned up the crime scene. He burnt down the cabin. There's no evidence to support self-defense or justifiable homicide.
Carly: Claudia dragged me out of the Metro Court at gun point. My life was undeniably at risk. We can go to the cops. I'll just tell them what --
Sonny: We've already lied to the cops. There's nothing to support changing your story. You'll look like a terrified mother who was protecting her son. Even if you convince a jury that it was self-defense or an accident -- Michael's a target for the Zaccharas.
Carly: You never change, do you? You don't. You play on my worst fear just to get your own way. I don't appreciate it, and I don't buy it. I don't buy it this time.
Sonny: Because you don't understand the business.
Carly: Then explain it to me. Please explain to me why are the Zaccharas a threat? How are they a threat? Anthony is in prison, Johnny would never hurt Michael, and Claudia's dead. If they wanted payback, how come they haven't come after you already?
Sonny: Don't assume they haven't. I can protect myself, but I am not putting Michael's life in the line of fire ever again.
Sam: Don't get me wrong, I know you can pretty much handle anything, but Franco is just a little bit different than anyone you've ever had to deal with. Who else is gonna crush Joey Limbo's windpipe and pose the body? It's sick. This guy has made a career off of crime scene pictures, and now all the sudden he's got a personal interest in you, where he's sending you pictures of Maxie blindfolded in a chalk outline like she's some sort of murder victim.
Jason: Well, Franco has figured out that death sells.
Sam: Yeah, Jason, but maybe this is some sort of elaborate set up so he can kill you. Okay, um, I have a really terrible feeling about this, and I really don't often ask you for anything, but I'm asking you now, Jason, please do not play Franco's game.
Sonny: All we have to do is stick to the story. Michael understands that.
Carly: That doesn't mean he can do it, Sonny.
Sonny: Unfortunately, this cover-up is the best way to do this. And if we start messing around with it, Michael's gonna be completely vulnerable, so we have to stick to the plan, go exactly as we said. Claudia vanished. She was never in the cabin. Michael wasn't in the cabin. Nobody hit anybody over the head. Nothing happened.
Carly: That's what Michael said. He said nothing happened.
Sonny: Exactly. Michael understands how it works.
Carly: Michael said that you were proud of him. And he's right. You're thrilled that he's following in your footsteps, aren't you?
Sonny: Okay, just because I'm proud that Michael protected his mother and his sister doesn't mean that I want him following in my footsteps.
Carly: I don't know why I'm wasting my breath.
Sonny: Hey, Carly. Carly, don't go to the police. Don't go behind my back.
Carly: I don't need your permission. I have custody. I can do whatever the hell I want to do, Sonny.
Sonny: Then you need to think. 'Cause if you panic and you try to fix things, you're gonna destroy our son's life.
Carly: You're already doing a damn fine job of that on your own.
Jason: I agree with you. I have never encountered a guy like this in my entire life. But I'm not gonna avoid him. He's gone to a lot of trouble to meet me, and if I don't show up --
Sam: There has to be another way.
Jason: If he knows the truth about Michael, Sam, I got to shut him up.
Sam: I get that, Jason, but you can't just play into his hands.
Jason: Well, if I ignore him, he's just gonna keep making the stakes higher. That's why I need to confront him now, find out what he wants, and just take it from there.
Sam: Oh, really? How is this confrontation gonna work? Are you just gonna bust into his studio with your gun drawn? He's a famous artist. You can't threaten him without your face being all over the evening news, and you can't make him disappear, Jason. You know why? 'Cause your picture is all over his studio. And guess who's gonna be the prime suspect? You are.
Jason: That's nothing new, really.
Sam: Wait a minute. What if he did take that picture of Claudia? What if the cops find it? What if there are pictures all over that studio --
Jason: What if? What if? We're going in circles right now. I need to find out what's going on. The best way for me to do that is to meet with Franco.
Sam: What if he tries to kill you, Jason?
Spinelli: While picking up on nonverbal cues is not exactly the Jackal's forte, even I can sense the tension in this room.
Sam: Franco is back, and Jason is determined to confront him.
Lulu: Do you remember what the tagger looked like?
Dominic: Yeah, I'm trying to think that. I mean, that was a lot of arrests ago, but. I mean, I wouldn't even remember him at all if it hadn't been for that first murder scene that I was at. I guess he was scruffy. He was pretty detached. I mean, I remember he didn't put up much of a fight. I remember he should have been in a place like Bellevue.
Lulu: This obviously stayed with you.
Dominic: Yeah, I don't know. There's got to be more to this than just a coincidence. I got to figure out who this tagger is.
Lulu: How are you gonna do that?
Dominic: Well, I'm sure his record is on file.
Lulu: So you're gonna go back to Bensonhurst?
Dominic: Ha ha. There's another way to get what I need. And you are gonna help me.
Ethan: So, how's Rebecca?
Lucky: It looks like she's gonna make it. I just took her statement.
Ethan: And when are you gonna arrest Nikolas?
Lucky: It was an accident, Ethan. She started across the street without looking, and she stepped right in front of his car. Nikolas couldn't stop in time.
Ethan: And that's it?
Lucky: Yeah, that's it, according to Rebecca.
Ethan: Okay, wait. Nikolas breaks up with Rebecca, and on the same night he tries to run her down with his car? That doesn't seem strange to you?
Nikolas: How's she doing?
Ethan: Well, she's alive. No thanks to you.
Nikolas: I really don't appreciate what you're implying.
Ethan: Oh, I'm not implying anything. I'm saying straight up that you tried to kill Rebecca.
Lucky: Hey, hold on, dude. How would that work? Seriously. You really believe that Nikolas waited outside of my house for Rebecca to show up, and then deliberately ran her down?
Ethan: Look, I don't know the details, okay, but it was no accident.
Lucky: Why? Why would he do that? There's a huge difference between breaking up with someone and wanting them dead. What possible motive could he have?
[Knock on door]
Rebecca: Elizabeth, is that you?
Steve: Will you settle for Elizabeth's older brother? Steve Webber.
Rebecca: Rebecca Shaw.
Steve: Wow. At the risk of being impolite, you really do look exactly like Emily Quartermaine.
Rebecca: Oh, is that why I rank a visit from the new chief of staff?
Steve: How'd you know?
Rebecca: Well, Edward and Monica have been talking about you for weeks.
Steve: I was in the E.R. when you were brought in last night. I just wanted to see how you're doing.
Rebecca: Oh, I'm fine so far. And it's so nice to meet you. Monica's over the moon because you took the job. She thinks it's perfect that Steve Hardy's grandson is gonna be the new chief of staff.
Steve: Well, it sounds like Monica has you up to date on this place.
Rebecca: At least some of it. The Quartermaines have been so kind to me. So they were saying that you're moving here from Memphis.
Steve: Mmm. I ran a trauma unit there for years.
Rebecca: So you must be ready for anything.
Steve: Oh, well, I guess we'll see about that, won't we?
Rebecca: It must be so exciting to come back to Port Charles after having been away for so long. I'm sure there's so much you don't know about, especially about your little sister.
Elizabeth: And what exactly are you planning to tell my brother about me?
Steve: You want to tell me what that was about? Or maybe you just wanted to rip her face off?
Elizabeth: Oh, don't tempt me.
Steve: Look, whatever it is, you know I'm on your side.
Elizabeth: She's just a miserable bitch, that's all. I hate the fact that every time I look at her, I miss Emily even more.
Steve: What I just saw has nothing to do with missing your best friend. And I'm guessing whatever she has on you must be pretty good, because I found you crying last night, you're on edge today.
Elizabeth: I wish Rebecca had never even heard of Port Charles.
Steve: Well, maybe she feels that way, too. But I'm concerned about you. I don't care what she has on you or what you've done. So when you're ready to tell me about it, I'm ready to help.
Lucky: Look, I just took Rebecca's statement. She was very clear that Nikolas ran her over by accident.
Ethan: Well, what do you expect her to say to his brother the cop?
Lucky: Okay, if you're serious about this and you want to look over the statement or discuss it with Mac, that's fine.
Ethan: Maybe Rebecca's giving you the benefit of the doubt, but it's pretty obvious to me that you saw Rebecca crossing the street and you thought, hey, what a great chance to make your life easier, so you hit the gas.
Lucky: Maybe Nikolas hasn't handled the situation with Rebecca perfectly, but he's no murderer.
Ethan: You know, I was actually starting to build up some respect for you, Lucky. But now that you're siding with the Cassadine over here, I guess all that's out the window.
Nikolas: Look, I'm not proud of the way I treated Rebecca, but I swear to you, Lucky, hitting her was an accident.
Lucky: I know it was. You don't have to defend yourself. You haven't done anything wrong.
Coleman: All right, guys, look, it's still early, but I'll go ahead and pour you both a drink if that'll, you know, break the ice.
Johnny: We're fine.
Coleman: Olivia, you sure?
Olivia: That's okay, Coleman. What we got going on here alcohol's not gonna help.
Coleman: All right, then I'll leave you guys to it. But you know something, for whatever it's worth, most people who come into this place, they're looking for what you two already got.
Johnny: You know, I thought about it all night. About you being in love with Sonny. I thought over and over again how much am I gonna have to take in order to be with you, knowing that you love somebody else and that somebody else just happens to be my boss. And that you've got a son who's an undercover cop who's trying to bust that same guy. And if Sonny ever finds out that I know about it -- you know, maybe I do want that drink.
Olivia: No, Johnny, you don't.
Johnny: You've been lying to me from the moment we got together.
Olivia: I know.
Johnny: So now, Olivia, I got to tell you it's just really a matter of self-respect. You know, how many times am I gonna let myself get walked over, played for a chump before I walk away?
Olivia: I understand why you don't want anything more to do with me, Johnny.
Johnny: I didn't till you walked in here. And one look, that's all it takes. I know I'm a fool, but I just want to be with you. It's all I care about.
Lulu: Is Detective Spencer here?
Man: He left to take a statement.
Lulu: Is it okay if I wait?
Man: Well, it could be a while.
Lulu: Um, well, you know, Lucky is -- it's just, he's my brother and, um, I've been trying to call his cell phone, and he hasn't been answering. And my boyfriend and I had got these tickets to a concert and we can't use them, so I thought Lucky could use them.
Man: You can wait as long as you'd like.
Dominic: So which way?
Lulu: That way. But I swear, if you get Lucky in trouble, this is over. I'm gonna bust you.
Dominic: Nothing's gonna happen. It's gonna be fine.
Lulu: Okay. I hope so. Just go.
Sam: Can you do me a favor and just wear the vest?
Spinelli: May I suggest that you're being overly cautious.
Sam: Humor me.
Spinelli: Franco is peculiar, and, I mean, his subject matter is provocative and disturbing, but such is the role of the artist in society. And the fact that Franco has created a genre that's gained popularity and is indeed lucrative, I mean, so much the better, right?
Sam: Not necessarily.
Spinelli: Okay, yeah, his material is dark, but that doesn't mean the artist himself is dangerous or that is motives are sinister. I mean, look. I mean, his actions prove the otherwise. Look at all the ways he's tried to contact you. They're all nonviolent. What, waving at a camera, asking for an introduction at a gallery, giving you an interesting work of art that contains an invitation.
Sam: Loaded with clues. The guy is weird, Spinelli.
Spinelli: All right, maybe I just empathize with one who is less than gifted at the standard routines of social interaction and might be a little misunderstood.
Jason: So you don't see him as a threat at all?
Spinelli: Well, I mean, there's no way to completely rule out the variable of danger in any situation, but, Stone Cold, maybe he just wants to be friends.
Sam: Can you please just wear the vest?
Jason: Sam, if Franco wants to kill me, the vest isn't gonna stop him. And I really don't want to be aggressive with this guy. I need to find out what he wants first before I piss him off.
Sam: Okay, good. Then I'll come along as backup.
Jason: No, you're not gonna come with me. This is between me and Franco. I need to confront him alone. Just try not to worry. I'll be okay.
Sonny: If you go to the cops or you and Diane work out some deal where Michael confesses, you could blow all our lives apart.
Carly: What about Michael's life? 'Cause his life's already falling apart.
Sonny: I think he should come back and live with me.
Carly: Are you out of your mind?
Sonny: I've been through these situations. I can just tell him that, you know what, you were just trying to protect your family. I could help him through this.
Carly: He wants to be you. He wants to be just like you. If I let him live here, that will just reinforce everything we agree we don't want, Sonny. God.
Sonny: Okay, you know what, Michael can stay with you, but I tell you what, on the condition that you don't go to the cops, you don't talk to a lawyer. On the condition that nobody ever finds out that Michael killed Claudia. Could you at least give me that? Just say that you'll do that.
Carly: Okay. I won't say anything. I won't go to the police, I won't go to a lawyer. That means I just have to find another way to save my son.
Olivia: You know, Johnny, you feel like a fool. I swear, I feel like a bigger one. I mean, you are the last man on the earth I should have gotten involved with. You're the same age as my kid, for God sakes. I spent my whole life swearing that I would never touch a gangster, and you were born deeper in the mob than anyone I've ever laid eyes on. And then Dante comes to town. And I still don't let you go.
Johnny: It doesn't make any sense.
Olivia: You know, you wouldn't know it from the choices I've been making lately, but I actually am a pretty strong person. That's why I refuse to lie to you about the way that I feel for Sonny.
Johnny: Well, I wish you would have. You found a way to lie about everything else.
Olivia: You have every right to want me to love only you, okay, and I wish to God that I could make myself stop feeling what I feel for Sonny, but I can't. Okay, I don't know how to do this. You can either -- you can either take me the way that I am or you can end this thing. And I hope to God that you don't, but -- maybe you should.
Johnny: So we can stay apart to preserve my pride or stay together, huh?
Olivia: Pretty much.
Johnny: Well, I should run in the opposite direction. But -- I've always been a little nuts.
[Knock on door]
Maxie: Is Spinelli around?
Sam: No, he went on a chips and orange soda run.
Maxie: Oh, good. I'm glad it's just you here. You can help me take some measurements. You know, when I was talking about the whole man-cave thing earlier, I wasn't really serious, but then I thought about it, and this place actually could really use a makeover. Good thing Jason can afford for me to do whatever I want.
Sam: Yeah, that's true.
Maxie: I mean, poor Spinelli. I can't believe he actually sleeps in a pink bedroom. And there's a pool table where the dining room table should be. All of this furniture looks rented. And there's not one space downstairs for Spinelli to call his own. I think that that's unfair. Even though he would never really complain.
Sam: You're trying to compensate for the fact that something happened with Franco.
Maxie: Nothing happened with Franco. Nothing that, you know, matters anyway. Kate made it very clear that I needed to lock Franco down for the "Crimson" photo shoot, which I didn't do, but I will. And anything beyond that creepy photo he took of me was a slip.
Maxie: A momentary lapse in judgment, a mistake that Spinelli never needs to know about, right?
Sam: Do you have any idea what's at stake here?
Steve: I apologize for walking out on you before.
Rebecca: Oh, that's all right. I kind of put you on the spot.
Steve: Well, I know Elizabeth's all grown up with children and a career, but she'll always be my little sister.
Rebecca: Are you asking me to back off, Dr. Webber?
Steve: I'm just saying when Elizabeth says jump, all I'm gonna ask is how high.
Rebecca: Hmm. You won't be the only one.
Steve: Look, I don't know who did what to who, and I really don't much care, but I've always found that the longer you hold a grudge, the more people get hurt. And not just the person you're mad at. So now that you've got all this time on your hands, maybe you want to work something out with my little sister. Or you could both do yourselves a favor and agree to let it go.
Ethan: Is this a bad time?
Steve: No, no, no. I need to get going. Glad you've got some company.
Ethan: Who was that?
Rebecca: Hmm, Elizabeth's big brother, Steven Webber, the new chief of staff. Yet another man who's instantly in Elizabeth's corner. She's unbelievable, Ethan.
Ethan: Are you in trouble?
Rebecca: I don't think so. You know, he's so nice. It's hard to believe he's related to Elizabeth.
Ethan: Well, I know how we can get your mind off all this. Molasses cookies and a deck of cards.
Rebecca: Aw. Thank you. You're the best.
Rebecca: Uh, yeah. Maybe later.
Ethan: How are you really doing?
Rebecca: Uh, I've been thinking about my old job in Washington State. And how much it would cost to move to France. Or Monte Carlo.
Ethan: Basically as far away from Nikolas as possible.
Rebecca: Yeah, something like that.
Ethan: Well, I don't understand it. First Nikolas leads you on, then he dumps you, then he runs you down with his car. I don't see how you can forgive him.
Rebecca: Who says I have?
Rebecca: Gin. Ha ha!
Ethan: See, there's the Rebecca I remember from the bar at Kennedy.
Ethan: Smart and tough and not taking any crap from anyone.
Rebecca: I'm definitely starting to feel more like myself again.
Ethan: Well, Nikolas made a serious mistake and he needs to pay. We just need to come up with a plan.
Rebecca: Ethan, um, I don't want to send you any mixed messages because I care about you and I really want what's best for you, but we're not gonna end up together, no matter how I decide to deal with Nikolas.
Ethan: Well, if that's what you want, I can live with just being friends. As long as you're not wasting time on Nikolas Cassadine.
Nikolas: How you feeling?
Ethan: Go away. You're not welcome here.
Rebecca: Oh, on the contrary. Please come in, Nikolas. I'm so happy to see you. Why don't you stay for a while?
Nikolas: I just want to tell you again how sorry I am. And I'm happy to pay for any medical bills or follow-ups that you may have.
Rebecca: Ah, that's very kind.
Nikolas: I handled the situation poorly, I admit that.
Rebecca: That was very moving, Nikolas. Really, it is. But I didn't ask you to stay so I could hear your apology. I thought you might be interested in the conversation I was just having with Ethan. I was just about to tell him why I was so determined to see Lucky last night.
Sam: Franco came back. Jason went over to his studio.
Maxie: Oh, good. That's great. Do you think maybe Jason could pick up the other pictures Franco might have taken of me?
Sam: I don't think that would be Jason's first priority.
Maxie: Maybe I should just call him really quick, see if he could drop a couple of hints about the "Crimson" photo shoot.
Sam: No, no. Don't call him. He doesn't need any distractions.
Maxie: Look, Franco is a successful artist. Yes, he is intense and weird and incredibly good-looking, but I don't think he's dangerous.
Sam: Really? Are you sure about that?
Maxie: Yes. He had plenty of chances to hurt me after we left his opening together, which was a stupid decision on my part, but he didn't.
Sam: Yeah, okay, he didn't. But it doesn't mean that nothing's gonna happen to Jason.
Maxie: But if Franco is obsessed with Jason, you know, maybe Jason could mention something about the photo shoot. I know it's me asking the impossible for Jason to drop a good word for me, but --
