Dominic: You know what? I'm tired of you jerking me around, Jax.

Jax: You think I'm lying to you?

Dominic: You know, whatever my mother is up to, I seriously doubt she's about to blow my cover.

Jax: Well, then you are in serious trouble, my friend. If you don't go over there and stop Olivia right now and do some damage control of your own, this whole thing's going to blow up in your face.

Dominic: All right. Look, you want to run this show? Be my guest. You go stop my mother yourself. I'll go to Carly, tell her I'm undercover, and you've been working with me to put Sonny in prison. How's that?

Olivia: Sonny, I swear, when you called and asked me to come over tonight, I did not -- in a million years did I expect it was going to be for a dinner date.

Sonny: Good, good. I like being unpredictable.

Olivia: Oh, you are that.

Sonny: Well, it's better than being at each other's throats.

[Sonny laughs]

Sonny: No, I'm just saying.

Olivia: This is -- this is beautiful, really. I really appreciate it. But I -- I can't stay.

Sonny: Can't? You used to say can't is a four-letter word. Have you changed that much?

Lucky: You said Claudia's dead. Is that a straight-up fact or just a guess?

Carly: Michael, Lucky's here on official police business.

Lucky: Claudia's missing. If Michael can tell me what he knows about her disappearance, we may be able to wrap this case up and move on, okay?

Michael: I know what you know. Claudia's gone. Look, if it turns out that she's dead, I won't be sorry.

Lucky: Sounds like you heard that forensics confirmed Claudia's voice on the recording Jason found. That means she was the one that ordered the hit on the warehouse that got you shot. So I understand why you hate her.

Carly: Lots of people hate Claudia.

Lucky: She's also Sonny's wife, which makes her Michael's stepmother. I find it hard to believe that you wouldn't care if she were dead.

Michael: Forget it, Lucky. You're not going to make me feel guilty.

Jax: You're not going to take this to Carly or anyone else 'cause there's too much at stake.

Dominic: Well, according to you, my mother's about to drop-kick my cover anyway, so.

Jax: Well, that's why I'm telling you all this. So why don't you complete the job that you came here for instead of standing there arguing with me?

Dominic: Okay, look. This doesn't make any sense. Why would my mother give me up to Sonny?

Jax: You haven't been listening to anything I've said, have you? Your mother has been worried sick about you. She's fearing for your life. Now, she knows what's going to happen if Sonny finds out the truth. So she convinced herself that it's best she tell Sonny that you're her son, she begs for mercy, and then, you'll be safe.

Dominic: Okay, look. I don't buy it. She knows how important this case is to me. I'm sure she'd love to see me pack up and move on, but she's not going to back me into a corner like this.

Jax: Well, I know that she's on her way over to see Sonny right now. Come on, Dominic. You've been working really hard at this case. But you've got to give Sonny a push. Otherwise, it will all be for nothing.

Dominic: What do you want me to do? If it was up to me, Sonny would be in prison right now. But there is not enough evidence. I cannot manufacture what doesn't exist. And you need to stop using my mother to get to me.

Jax: I'm not your enemy here, you know. I've been on your side since the moment I found out what you were doing.

Dominic: Look, I don't want you on my side. I want you to stay out of it so I can do my job with no distractions.

Jax: You should be grateful for whatever help you can get.

Dominic: Oh, come on. You'd do anything to bring Sonny down.

Jax: Yes, I would, actually. I want Sonny out of my life and away from my family. You're the one that seems to have lost momentum here.

Dominic: Yeah. You know what? I will see this investigation through to its conclusion. You don't call the shots, Jax. I don't work for you. I never did. So you stay out of it, or as soon as I pop Sonny, I'll bring you up on charges, too.

[Jax sighs]

[Door shuts]

Sonny: I'm very, very glad you stayed.

Olivia: You make it hard to say no -- to dinner.

Sonny: You know, I am known as a damn good cook.

Olivia: Yeah, I've been thinking about that a lot since we had our little chili cook-off the other day. And it occurs to me that I hear that cooking in Port Charles, you're like a God among mortals, but back in Bensonhurst, you're pretty much just a guy with an apron.

Sonny: Ouch.

[Olivia laughs]

Sonny: Can we keep that as our little secret? 'Cause I want to preserve my reputation.

Olivia: Secret's safe. Pinky swear.

[Olivia chuckles]

Sonny: You were always very good at keeping secrets.

Olivia: The best. Me and Father Mullaney. Nothing passes our lips. Sonny?

Sonny: Yeah?

Olivia: This really is, actually, very good.

Sonny: I made it just for you.

Olivia: Just for me?

[Sonny laughs]

Olivia: Yeah, for me and every other woman in the entire Commonwealth.

Sonny: Nah.

Olivia: Michael Corinthos Junior, how many women do you think that you've compromised with this salad dressing and acted like they were the only one? Really?

Sonny: Um -- [Chuckles] Over 2, less than, maybe, 300 --

Olivia: Less than 2,000? Yes.

[Both laugh]

Olivia: Son of a bitch. I'm onto you, though.

Sonny: You never let me get away with anything.

Olivia: I know you too well, and I've known you for too long. And plus, with that thing you're doing, it just bugs me.

Sonny: What are you talking about?

Olivia: The whole -- the little charming act that you're doing, with the smiling and the dimples and everything.

[Sonny groans]

Olivia: It just bugs me. Do you think you can wear me down with some food and a nice bottle of wine and a nice meal? It doesn't work that way, okay?

Sonny: I expect nothing, so that way I can be pleasantly surprised. Even if I had an agenda, you've got your own ideas about things.

Olivia: Which you hate, because as far as you're concerned, this is all your world, and we're all just living in it.

Sonny: Not always. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want more. I think you're very beautiful, and it's very difficult not to stare at you.

[Olivia scoffs]

Sonny: What?

[Sonny laughs]

Olivia: Thank you.

Sonny: You're welcome.

Olivia: Um, you're very handsome yourself. Heh. It's a shame you already know it. [Laughs] Sorry. Would you like more wine?

Sonny: Love it.

Olivia: You know, it's so hard for me to believe that we're just sitting here in this ridiculous, gigantic house of yours all these years later, just eating a salad. Hard to believe.

Sonny: Well, I'm grateful. And sometimes, when we're sitting here like this talking, it just reminds me of something that's missing in my life.

Olivia: Sonny, I swear, if you say I complete you, I'm getting up and walking out the door --

Sonny: No. No expectations, no agendas. I just -- look. You know, it's like I don't get a chance to speak my mind with you 'cause a lot of times, we're interrupted by something, by someone, and I just want this night to be about us. And I just want you to know that I miss you. It's that simple.

Jason: Hey. Can you meet me? I need your help.

Tracy: I see Jake's is still taking our customers.

Ethan: You know, tell it to Luke. He decided not to open again.

Tracy: He is so preoccupied about something. Do you know what it is?

Ethan: You're his popsicle. Did he tell you?

Tracy: Heh. Well, we all know how Luke loves to share his feelings. Actually, in all the time I have been married to him, I've never seen him this moody.

Ethan: Well, maybe he's just itching to hit the road again.

Tracy: Uh-uh. Phew. Nice. It's something different. He's struggling. I wish I knew what it was.

Ethan: Well, he hasn't confided in me.

Luke: Nice. My wife and my son conspiring behind my back.

Tracy: No, grouchy. We are not conspiring.

Luke: Well, whatever you're saying to each other about me, you can say to my face.

Ethan: Okay. Why do you look like somebody just killed your puppy?

Luke: Not my puppy -- my first-born.

Nikolas: Elizabeth, look, I --

Elizabeth: Please, don't say anything.

Nikolas: You're confused. So am I.

Elizabeth: I wasn't confused when I begged Lucky to marry me today. So what am I doing here?

Nikolas: You're here because you want to be with me.

Elizabeth: No. I want to be Lucky's wife.

Nikolas: Stop. Stop. You can't deny how we are with each other.

Elizabeth: This is insane, Nikolas. It's insane.

Nikolas: No, it's not insane. I've never known anything like this before. We have to stop hiding. There's --

Elizabeth: There's no we. There's no we. I don't even know who I am anymore. I can't even think straight.

Nikolas: Stop -- look. We'll figure it out, okay?

Elizabeth: Everything that matters to me just goes out the window every time I'm with you, and it scares the hell out of me.

Nikolas: Just come here.

[Elizabeth sighs]

Nikolas: Stop analyzing everything and just trust what you feel.

Elizabeth: What we feel is not real. It's just going to -- it's gonna go away, and it's just gonna burn out.

Nikolas: Oh, really? So what do I do in the meantime?

[Elizabeth sighs]

Nikolas: You just endure me until you get tired of me?

[Elizabeth sighs]

Nikolas: Because I'm not getting tired of you.

Elizabeth: This has to be kept a secret. Nobody deserves to be hurt by this except us.

Nikolas: You act as if the way we feel for each other is some sort of a curse, Elizabeth --

Elizabeth: Well, isn't it? I mean, truly, how do you feel about what we're doing to your brother? This stays between us.

[Door shuts]

Lucky: What do you have to feel guilty about, Michael?

Michael: Nothing.

Carly: Of course Michael is conflicted over whatever happened to Claudia. They lived under the same roof. He cared about her, even after he found out she was the one who got him shot.

Michael: You don't have to defend me --

Carly: Yes, I do. Yes, I do. The moment Michael found out about the shooting, Claudia kidnapped me. Now, I think that's a lot for a kid to handle. So right now, you're going to give Michael a break. And you're going to go upstairs, and you're going to do your homework. Where are you going?

Michael: I'm going to go to the library. I got to study for that test that I blew off.

[Carly sighs]

Michael: I'll see you later.

Carly: You know what? I get that we're not close, but we are family, and I really think it's unfair that you're harassing me after everything we just went through, Lucky.

Lucky: If you could just tell me what else you remember about the night Claudia disappeared, I can move on.

Carly: I already gave my statement. I mean -- Claudia crashed the car. I was already in labor. I was trying not to panic before I delivered my baby. Claudia was unconscious. I went to find shelter. I never saw her again.

Lucky: So you don't want to change any part of your story?

Carly: No.

Lucky: I think you and Sonny and Jason are covering up what really happened.

Carly: I was taken hostage by an insane woman. My life and the life of my little girl were in jeopardy. I think -- ha -- that I, you know, would be a little justified in defending myself. Why would I try and cover it up?

Lucky: I don't know. I'm just -- I'm trying to figure it all out, okay? That way, we can all get a little more sleep.

Sonny: You got something against the past?

Olivia: No. I've had a good life. I got a lot of nice photographs in scrapbooks, memories, and -- I just live in the present.

Sonny: Well, I got nothing to say about your present.

Olivia: Because of Johnny.

Sonny: I mean --

Olivia: Well, I mean, Sonny, I'm sorry about that, but Johnny's a part of my life now -- today, tomorrow, and, I mean, who knows how long? But if you think that sitting here with you having a meal or something was something to get you --

Sonny: No, I don't. This -- sometimes, a cannolo is a cannolo.

[Olivia chuckles]

Sonny: You are a reminder of -- something in my past that made me happy. It's a gift, and I thank you for that.

Olivia: If that's true, then I'm very glad.

Sonny: Yeah. All right. Well --

[Sonny grunts]

Sonny: It's time to get this, right?

[Sonny exhales]

[Footsteps]

Dominic: Whoa. What the hell?

Sam: Jason? Jason! Did you find something? Wow. What a psycho. Is this supposed to be art?

Jason: I can't figure this guy out.

Sam: Okay. They say some people thrive off of chaos, which you would know nothing about. Keep it simple, right?

Jason: I mean, none of this makes sense to me.

Sam: Why on earth would Maxie agree to go on the floor and pose for a picture? If that were me, I would be kicking and screaming the whole time --

Jason: Okay, just remember, Maxie said that Franco did not force her to do anything.

Sam: Okay. All right. He's rich and famous, and -- she needed something from him, so she did it. I get it. Um -- oh. You were right. Okay. You were right. He is the homeless guy.

Jason: Now, there's no question about that.

Sam: And he wants you to know it. Jason, why?

Jason: I don't know. The more I see, the more I know that Franco's the one who sent me that picture of Claudia's dead body.

Tracy: Why are you so concerned about Lucky?

Ethan: Dad, he seems all right to me. In fact, he seems less obnoxious than usual.

Tracy: What kind of trouble is he in?

Luke: He's whipped up a pink cloud around Elizabeth, and he's in for some hard knocks when life kicks him in the teeth.

Tracy: Luke, it is so unlike you to involve yourself in other people's issues, especially your children.

Luke: I know, and I hate it. But if I'm just standing there, and the train is running down on some stranger, I have to say something. I certainly have to say something if it's my own kid.

Ethan: Well, you know whatever you said to Lucky, he doesn't hear. Whenever you and Lucky fight, nobody wins.

Tracy: I agree. And if Lucky and Elizabeth have to get married 10 more times before they get it right, it's not your business.

Luke: Trying to wait it out, but it's not doing anybody any good, and it's only going to get worse.

Tracy: Okay. Where are you going?

Luke: I'm going out for a drive. I need to think. And that's not code for "I'm leaving town." As much as I'd like to bail on this mess, I can't.

[Door shuts]

Carly: You just missed Lucky. He was here asking questions about Claudia.

Jax: Oh. Did you stick to your story?

Carly: Yeah. I'm not the problem. It's Michael. He was very upset that Lucky was questioning me, and he came close to telling Lucky everything. This is where you can tell me "I told you so."

Jax: I don't get any pleasure in this, Carly.

Carly: God. I wish I would have listened to you. You know. I mean, we should have listened to you. I should have told the truth about what happened to Claudia, that Michael was just defending me and the baby. I mean, everything is starting to unravel. Lucky stood right here and told me that he thinks I'm helping Sonny and Jason cover up for something.

Jax: Well, do the police suspect Michael?

Carly: No! No. God forbid that Michael had help. Now, he's walking around telling anyone who'll listen that Claudia got what she deserved.

Jax: Well, he's got to be careful he doesn't incriminate himself.

Carly: He doesn't care. He just wants to be a tough guy. I mean, that kid right now is thinking, "if I could just be tough enough -- "

Jax: Right, right -- his father will bring him into the mob.

Carly: And Michael knows how to work Sonny. I mean, and what man isn't flattered by his son telling him that he thinks he's the greatest guy in the whole world? Michael knows how to wear Sonny down.

Jax: Well, then we have to be that much more diligent.

Carly: And then, I'm the bad guy. Oh. I can feel my son pulling away from me, and he doesn't care, even when Sonny called him on it. It's like that kid doesn't know the difference between right and wrong, and he feels no remorse, Jax.

Jax: Okay, okay.

[Carly sighs]

Jax: What do you want to do?

Carly: I don't know. I mean, the days of me telling Michael what to do are just long gone. I -- I feel helpless. I feel helpless. I don't even recognize my son anymore. And I don't know how to find him and get him back.

Olivia: Sonny, have you seen my purse?

Dominic: No. You know what? I'm not staying, so.

Olivia: No, it's okay. Really. I do have to go.

Sonny: You haven't even had dessert, Olivia.

Olivia: Like they say, sometimes a cannoli just a cannoli. Here it is. I'll see you, Sonny. Thank you so much.

Sonny: Yeah. Okay. What the hell is wrong with you?

Dominic: Look, I didn't know you had company.

Sonny: What does it matter if I kiss Olivia Falconeri?

Dominic: It doesn't. I'm just surprised. I don't care who you kiss. I just thought she was with John Zacchara. And then, I see you guys together --

Sonny: She's having doubts who she should be with. And you better pray that you didn't blow it for me.

Maxie: Is it safe?

Spinelli: Heh. Stone Cold is not home, if that's what you're referring to.

Maxie: I just don't want to provoke another meltdown. I mean, who knew Jason could be so high-strung?

Spinelli: Stone Cold is out dealing with Franco.

Maxie: What? What do you mean? Did he find him?

Spinelli: Yeah. We were able to determine the local address of the darkly focused one.

Maxie: How?

Spinelli: Well, the artist gifted Stone Cold a piece of his art, and working together, Stone Cold and I deciphered some implanted clues. And it led us to be able to pinpoint the local address on the studio. Franco's proving to be a most worthy adversary.

Maxie: Why would Franco send Jason a piece of his art?

Spinelli: Whatever his nefarious plan, it's been ingeniously plotted, however dark and twisted he might be.

Maxie: Um, what do you think Jason's planning on doing to Franco?

Spinelli: I'm unable to share Stone Cold's intentions, but suffice to say, a confrontation is most likely.

Maxie: Wait. You don't think he's gonna hurt Franco, do you? 'Cause Kate still wants him to commit to doing the photo shoot for "Crimson," and Franco would be useless if Jason broke anything important.

Spinelli: Well, all we know is that Franco strove pretty hard to get Stone Cold's attention, and he has it now.

Sam: Hey, Jason. This all seems kind of random, but everything is here for a reason. He is definitely trying to send you a message.

Jason: Every move Franco makes is to send me a message. I mean, obviously, he wanted me to find this place.

Sam: Yeah. And the fact that he rented this place under your name, there's got to be a method to all this madness.

Jason: And I'm supposed to see through it all and try to figure out what this guy's trying to tell me?

Sam: But wait a minute. You are always in control. Franco is controlling this game. You've got to take that back.

[Jason sighs]

Jason: Okay. We're going to go through this place one section at a time.

Rebecca: Huh!

Ethan: Wow, honey. You look like you could use a drink.

Rebecca: Yeah. Keep 'em coming.

[Rebecca laughs]

Rebecca: Pour one for yourself while you're at it. There you go. We can toast how brilliant you are. There you go. And what a fool I've been.

[Rebecca grunts]

Ethan: Okay. What happened?

Rebecca: You were right about Nikolas. He's a liar, and he's a user, and he never gave a damn about me, just like you said.

Ethan: If you expect me to mend your broken heart, you came to the wrong bartender.

Rebecca: Oh, no, sweetie. I'm here to applaud you for your dead-on instincts.

Ethan: Okay. Before you drink yourself unconscious, why don't you tell me what Nikolas said or did to finally drive the point home?

[Door opens]

Lucky: Hey, man. I just wanted to drop by and let you know how everything went. Elizabeth and I are going ahead with our marriage.

Nikolas: What? Really?

Lucky: Yeah.

Nikolas: 'Cause you were so determined to break it off earlier.

Lucky: Oh. But she refused to walk away. She said building a life together is all she wants and that she's determined to get past whatever it is that's got her all twisted up inside.

Nikolas: Wow. So she was the one who actually insisted on getting married.

Lucky: Yeah. I mean, I tried to end it, but she wouldn't let me go. She actually asked me to marry her, and I couldn't refuse.

Nikolas: No, no. Of course not. That's great, man. I'm happy for you, for the both of you.

Lucky: Thanks. I still feel a little uneasy about the whole thing, just because she's been all over the place lately.

Nikolas: Yeah.

Lucky: You expecting someone?

Nikolas: Hmm?

Lucky: Am I interrupting anything here?

Nikolas: Oh, no, no.

Lucky: Hey, you know, I ran into Rebecca earlier at the hospital. She said you broke up with her. What the hell happened, man?

Nikolas: Yeah. Well, it just -- it just wasn't working out. But…. really nothing to say about it. I'm fine. I'm fine, though.

Lucky: All right. Sorry.

Nikolas: That’s alright.

Lucky: Anyway, Elizabeth swears that if I just stand by her, she can get through anything.

Nikolas: Well, then, why are you so unhappy? Isn't this your dream come true? The love of your life doesn't want to live hers without you?

Maxie: You're going to be working for a while, aren't you?

Spinelli: Well, I need to gather as much information about Franco as I can.

Maxie: Well, I was hoping we could spend some time together, but I understand that Jason needs you, so I'll leave you to your brilliance.

Spinelli: Well, actually, I mean, if you could find a way to otherwise occupy yourself, I might be done pretty soon.

Maxie: Don't rush on my account. You need to stay focused and methodical. I will just come back later and take some measurements.

Spinelli: For your design project?

Maxie: Yeah. It's sad that such a great space is so pathetic-looking.

Spinelli: Well, it's very generous of Maximista to use her penchant for design to enhance Stone Cold's living space, especially since he was less than kind to you.

Maxie: Hey, even Jason Morgan is allowed to be on overload. Besides, he'll thank me when the renovations are done. You'll see.

Spinelli: Wait. Do you promise you're all right?

Maxie: Spinelli, yeah. I'm fine. As long as I have you, I'm perfect.

Spinelli: It's true. You are perfect, indeed.

Maxie: Bye.

Sam: I just wish we knew more about this guy, other than he's an artist from Paris, originally in New York, and he returned to the states when?

Jason: September.

Sam: September. Okay. And then, he rented this place under the name Jason Morgan, which means his interest in you dates back to before the gallery show, and then, he shows up as a homeless man, which is the strangest thing anyone could ever do.

Jason: And he witnessed the shoot-out.

Sam: Yeah, but that wasn't planned. I mean, you had no intention of killing anyone --

Jason: I didn't.

Sam: Excuse me?

Jason: Well, I didn't kill all the men, remember? Lucky said someone came up and stepped on Joey's throat, broke his windpipe. That was his cause of death.

Sam: And whoever that was -- posed the body the same way Maxie was posed for the fake crime scene.

[Jason sighs]

Sam: Death as art.

Jason: It's Franco.

Sam: This is about you personally, Jason. He's trying to prove something to you.

Jason: Prove what, Sam? And why?

Sam: I don't know. I keep going back to what Maxie said, that he told her that he thinks you're an artist.

Jason: Yeah, but it doesn't make any sense. I'm not an artist.

Sam: It doesn't matter what you think. It's what Franco thinks that counts. He's trying to reach out to you as a fellow artist. I just can't figure out what he's trying to say.

Jason: Franco got me here for a reason. And I'm going to wait here until I get an answer.

Sam: What if he doesn't come back? I mean, seriously, Jason, the guy has done his homework. He knows everything about you. What if he decides that this is a game that he doesn't want to play because you are too skilled at what you do, and he went back to Europe because he doesn't want to end up like Joey and the guys?

Jason: Sam, can you just do me a favor? Can you check the neighborhood, please, see if you can figure out the last time anyone saw Franco?

Sam: Fine. But it may take a while, if I'm right.

Jason: This is personal. This is obviously about me. I need to face Franco alone.

Sam: Okay. But Jason, this guy is seriously disturbed. Just promise me you're gonna be safe, okay?

Jason: Always.

[Jason sighs]

[Door shuts]

[Jason sighs]

Rebecca: He finally told me that he was finished with me and I should have accepted the truth. But see, he was such a perfect gentleman about it. That's how he keeps himself blameless, Ethan. He's so sad and filled with remorse while he's humiliating you.

Ethan: Oh, for God's sake, Rebecca, just tell me what happened.

Rebecca: Oh, I don't know. I guess being blown off once wasn't enough. I felt so sad for him, I wanted to fix the poor, damaged prince. Even gave it one more try today. Yeah. And I'll spare you the details, but I came onto him, and I ended up totally mortified. Yeah. Heh. He said that he never felt anything for me, that I never meant anything to him. Guess that's the only thing he didn't lie about.

Ethan: I am so sorry, love.

Rebecca: I don't want your pity.

Ethan: I can see you're hurt.

Rebecca: Yeah. Look at you. After every horrible thing that I said and did to you, you're still nice to me.

Ethan: Well, yeah, I mean, you want me to take care of Nikolas for you?

Rebecca: Oh, no.

Ethan: I’d love rearranging his face. Come on.

Rebecca: He's a lying bastard. He's going to have to live in his own hell. See, that's the difference between you two. You're a con artist, but at least you're honest about it. Nikolas is a phony. Everything about him is an act, just like that holier-than-thou Elizabeth. Mmm. They're both users. They deserve each other.

Ethan: Well, I guess that's why they're such good friends, then.

Rebecca: Yeah, probably. Poor Lucky. Out of that whole group, he is the only decent one. He liked me from the beginning. Heh. None of that Emily crap. Just me for me. Guess I picked the wrong brother.

[Ethan scoffs]

Ethan: No, you picked the wrong half-brother. But you know, it's a shame that Lucky's going to remarry Elizabeth. There's really nothing that's going to get in their way.

Rebecca: Hmm.

Lucky: I only have to look into Elizabeth's eyes to know what she's feeling. And it's been a long time since she's been really happy. She just seems disconnected.

Nikolas: And you still don't know what that is?

Lucky: Well, she tries to say and do all the right things, but I'm not going to be one more person she thinks she has to be perfect for.

Nikolas: Maybe this isn't something that you can really help her with.

Lucky: Listen, I'm sorry I keep dumping all my stuff on you.

Nikolas: No, no. Look, I absolutely want to hear everything you have to say. So you were saying Elizabeth begged you to marry her, but you're still unsure?

Lucky: I just -- I don't want us to get married because she's decided it's the right thing to do. I don't want her hiding in our marriage. It's not a safe haven. It's a promise, one that's hard enough to keep, even when you start off in love and committed. If Elizabeth isn't honest about why she's struggling, if we can't work through this together now, what kind of marriage are we going to have?

[Nikolas sighs]

Dominic: If you're going to hide from me, you got to do better than this.

Olivia: Don't start with me today, Dante. I know it was stupid to kiss Sonny.

Dominic: Oh, you think? But there you were.

Olivia: You know what? I don't need to hear about this from my son. I got out of there before anything happened.

Dominic: Oh, yeah? And what would have happened if I hadn't shown up when I did, Ma? Did you go there to tell Sonny what I've been doing? Because Jax is pretty convinced of that, and I had to tell him he was wrong.

Olivia: For one crazy second, I actually considered it, all right? But I couldn't go through with it.

Dominic: Wow. I mean, this is really scary, Ma. I mean, you obviously still have some pretty strong feelings for Sonny. I mean, to do that in spite of Johnny, in spite of how it would compromise my work --

Olivia: I hate what Sonny's chosen to do with his life. Okay? And I'm really sorry for what's about to happen to him. If there's any way to stop it without hurting you, I would. But I can't. The price for protecting you is my silence. I know that. So Sonny's never going to hear the truth about you from me. Don't worry.

[Knock on door]

Sonny: I really don't have time to deal with you tonight, Jax.

Jax: Sonny, listen to me. Lucky's been over at the house asking questions about Claudia's disappearance. And this whole cover-up was your idea, and it seems to be falling apart.

Sonny: As long as no one changes their story, I will make sure the truth about Claudia's death never comes out.

Lucky: So, Ethan, you wanted to see me?

Ethan: Oh, yeah. Um -- look. I know Rebecca considers you a friend, all right? And she was here a little while ago. And she's a mess, man.

Lucky: That's why you wanted to see me?

Ethan: Well --

Lucky: I just saw her at the hospital. She seemed like she was holding up okay.

Ethan: Okay. Well, she must have been covering because Nikolas just broke up with her, and she took it really bad.

Lucky: No, I know. I talked to her about it.

[Ethan scoffs]

Ethan: Okay. Well, she said you were the only one who really was ever honest with her. She said Nikolas and Elizabeth, on the other hand, were both phonies and users.

Lucky: Wait. She said that about Elizabeth?

Elizabeth: "And the littlest whale swam home -- "

[Jake babbling indistinctly]

Elizabeth: "Singing the song the wind had taught him."

[Knock on door]

Elizabeth: Look at the fishes.

Jake: Door.

Cameron: Door!

Elizabeth: Here. You can read the story again, okay? Stay on the couch, please.

Cameron: Okay.

Rebecca: Bad time?

Elizabeth: Actually, I was just putting my boys to bed. We can talk tomorrow --

Rebecca: No, that's okay. I'll wait. Hi, Cam.

Cameron: Hi.

Rebecca: Hi, Jake. How are you guys?

Cameron: Good.

Rebecca: Hi!

Elizabeth: This is a really bad time.

Rebecca: Oh, look, stories! I love children's stories. The fairy tales and fables about castles and princes and wicked witches and all of that good stuff. Is this a fun book, Cam?

Cameron: It's about whales.

Rebecca: Oh, really? Well, I know a story, too. It's about a castle named Wyndemere and a prince named Nikolas and a wicked witch named -- why don't you tell it, Mommy? Why don't you tell the boys what the prince and his sister-in-law did in the turret room earlier tonight?

Jax: The police aren't going to close this investigation just because you want them to, Sonny.

Sonny: They got nothing.

Jax: Yeah, but it's going to get worse. If they uncover evidence at the scene or find Claudia's body, it's going to get worse --

Sonny: It won't. I figure the cops will think I killed Claudia for all the reasons she deserved. But that's why there is no evidence to find. I disposed of the body where it cannot be found. The cops can look all they want. They will not prove anything.
