Ronnie: What's this? More fireplace garbage?

Dominic: It's a recording I made of Sonny. He implicates himself in Claudia’s murder. I got him talkin' about everything, from being driven there to the blood on his shirt to the fact that she's buried someplace. I mean, it's definitely enough for a warrant.

Ronnie: Wow. I gotta admit I'm a little surprised. I was startin' to think that you weren't gonna deliver. So what happened? Your pal Sonny do somethin' to piss you off?

Dominic: No. It's my mother. I'm worried about her. It's, like, impossible to make her see Sonny for who he really is. Maybe once he's behind bars, she'll open her eyes.

Ronnie: Yeah. Well, I don't see Olivia thanking you for this.

Dominic: Well, you know what? My mother can hate me all she wants, as long as she's safe.

Olivia: Okay. Here's your chili. You should probably enjoy it, then leave.

Sonny: Is this my chili or yours?

Olivia: It's yours. Someone's gotta eat it. It's not gonna be me.

Sonny: You liked it. Admit it.

Olivia: Mine's better.

Sonny: Then get yourself a bowl, and let's eat some chili right--

Olivia: Sonny, I've got work to do, okay?

Sonny: Why are you so mad at me because I kissed you?

Olivia: I'm not mad at you. I'm mad at myself.

[Knock on door]

[Elizabeth sighs]

Robin: Hi.

Elizabeth: Hi.

Robin: Are you okay?

Elizabeth: Yeah, I'm fine. I'm just--you know, just emotional right now.

Robin: Well, I wanted to go over some stuff for the peer oversight committee, but if it's a bad time--

Elizabeth: No, no. Please, come in. Please.

Robin: Wow, so what's goin' on?

Elizabeth: Well, I'm putting the house up for sale so that Lucky and I can make a down payment on a piece of property we found. We want to build a house of our own.

Robin: Elizabeth, you don't have to hide anything. Nikolas told me about your affair.

Nikolas: A pier's no place to make life-altering decisions.

Lucky: Better than doin' it in a bar, right?

Nikolas: Yeah.

Lucky: You're right, though. I need to think this through.

Nikolas: Okay, so what changed your mind about marrying Elizabeth?

Maxie: Now would be the perfect time for you to go to your office, because I need to spend some alone time with Spinelli.

Jason: Spinelli's not here.

Maxie: But I need to see him.

Jason: You can explain it to me first.

Maxie: Explain what?

Jason: This.

Maxie: Oh, my God. I cannot believe you have this picture. Has Spinelli seen it?

Jason: No.

Maxie: How did you get it?

Jason: It came this morning addressed to me in this envelope from the gallery.

Maxie: Doesn't make sense. Why would he send it to you?

Jason: He who?

Maxie: Franco, of course. I know he's some sort of artistic genius, but why would he take this picture and send it to you of all people?

Jason: Okay, wait. Wait. Wait. Wait. How and when was this picture even taken?

Maxie: Well, I was with Franco at the art gallery, which you know, 'cause you were there when you refused to meet him, which was really rude.

Jason: Please, where was this picture taken?

Maxie: I'm trying to tell you, if you would stop interrupting me. Look, Franco wanted to leave the gallery, and he asked me to go with him, and I was trying to convince him to do the photo shoot for "Crimson," so I went.

Jason: Where?

Maxie: To a studio.

Jason: Where is this studio?

Maxie: I don't know. He blindfolded me when we got in the limo. Look, I thought that was really weird, okay, but I was trying to convince him to do the shoot.

Jason: Did Franco force you to do this?

Maxie: It's more like I didn't really know what he wanted until it was too late.

Dominic: You called?

Jax: Yeah. How's your case going against Sonny?

Dominic: Well, not to point out the obvious, but you're not my commanding officer.

Jax: Listen to me. The longer Claudia’s disappearance goes unsolved, the more chances are that Sonny will get away with killing her. You need to find some evidence.

Dominic: Yeah, relax, okay? There's been a break in the case. Sonny made incriminating comments about Claudia’s murder. I got it on tape. It's with my superiors. We should have a warrant anytime now.

Jax: Wow. Really? Well, congratulations, Detective Falconeri.

Dominic: You know, Sonny's bust might not be all that good news for you.

Jax: Sonny has put Carly and the boys in constant danger. When he's behind bars, it'll be better for everyone.

Dominic: Yeah. And when all this breaks that Dominic Pirelli’s an undercover cop, you don't think Carly and Michael and Morgan are all gonna feel betrayed, not to mention pissed as hell?

Jax: At you, yeah, not me.

Dominic: Aw, come on, Jax. You are in this up to your neck.

Jax: Yes, but my family will never find out, will they?

Olivia: Shouldn't have kissed me, Sonny. It was wrong.

Sonny: Why?

Olivia: It was--why?

Sonny: Yeah.

Olivia: For about a million different reasons, all you know.

Sonny: Please, listen. Technically I was married, but we're not foolin' anybody. I wasn't in love with Claudia. She's gone for good, so what's the--

Olivia: Sonny, I sent you mixed signals.

Sonny: Did you?

Olivia: Okay, yeah.

Sonny: You didn't have fun with me cooking in there?

Olivia: Of course I did.

Sonny: Then what?

Olivia: I always have fun with you.

Sonny: Uh-huh.

Sonny: Laughing and fighting with you, but that's the past. Sonny, it's in the past.

Sonny: We're good together. We always have been.

Olivia: We dated when we were teenagers. Okay, the next umpteen years, we didn't have any contact, no nothing. Nothing.

Sonny: But the feeling--we had feelings. Feelings are still there.

Olivia: Sonny.

Sonny: You're gonna deny it?

Olivia: Do not push this. Okay? Stop. I can never be with you again.

Sonny: Give me one good reason why.

[Door opens]

Elizabeth: This is great. I'm sure you think highly of me, engaged to Lucky and sleeping with his brother.

Robin: Elizabeth, you are a good and kind person. I know that you wouldn't get involved with Nikolas on a whim.

Elizabeth: I know what we're doing is wrong, and I wanna stop, but I just can’t. I'm trying to control my thoughts and my feelings, but it's like I've become obsessed with him, and I know that's not an excuse. In fact, it makes it worse. I know it's just horrible, and it's deceitful, and I'm wrong, and--ohh.

Robin: Hey, can you just stop beating yourself up for a second?

Elizabeth: Well, I hate myself for allowing this to happen.

Robin: Listen to me, okay? If there's anything that I learned from the whole postpartum depression thing, it's that being ashamed just makes everything worse.

Elizabeth: But you had a medical condition. I'm just a cheater and a liar.

Robin: Elizabeth, it's not like you woke up one morning and decided to ruin your life.

Elizabeth: It's the last thing I wanted to happen.

Robin: Can I ask how it happened, how it all started?

Elizabeth: It seems so shallow.

Robin: Come on. Nothing between you and Nikolas is shallow. You've been friends for a really long time.

Elizabeth: Which is exactly why it took me by surprise.

Robin: What did?

Elizabeth: Nikolas and I kissed. It was a silly impulse. We had been drinking at Jake's, and then out the blue, I started to want him.

Lucky: I've been lookin' back, trying to find a pattern. I think Elizabeth only agreed to get remarried because I pushed it.

Nikolas: You don't know that.

Lucky: You know, the night I asked her to marry me, she asked me for more time. She told me that she was afraid of repeating all the mistakes we've made in the past.

Nikolas: Yeah, well, I can understand that, given all that you've been through.

Lucky: But I really thought that we'd made peace with it--my drug addiction and affair with Maxie, her affair with Jason, the lies she told about Jake. But once we agreed to get remarried, the guilt just came crashing in on her again. Elizabeth has forgiven me, but she hasn't forgiven herself. I mean, she's scared to death she's gonna do something wrong to destroy everything we're in the process of rebuilding.

Nikolas: Can you reassure her?

Lucky: That's what I've been trying to do, man, over and over. I don't know. I'm just-- maybe at this point, the only way to make this right is to call off the wedding.

Epiphany: Do I look like your personal delivery service?

Patrick: Not particularly, no.

Epiphany: Heh. Then you can take your surgical notes to the nurse yourself. That way, when they have questions, you're already there to answer.

Patrick: Consider me properly chastised. Now, will you take 'em?

Epiphany: You know, just when I think you're developing a tiny bit of humility, you're right back to thinking you're God's gift.

Patrick: You mean I'm not?

Epiphany: God's gonna be wantin' a refund, Drake Junior. Mark my words.

Matt: I'm sorry. Well, I'm just saying just give it some thought.

Lisa: I will.

Matt: Okay.

Lisa: I promise.

Patrick: If you're angling for another date, I advise against it.

Lisa: There's an opening on the hospital staff for an orthopedic surgeon, and Matt has been hounding me to apply for the position.

Matt: And there you have it. I mean, wouldn't we be honored to have a doctor with her experience working with us? I--

Lisa: I have a busy practice, not to mention a life back in Houston.

Matt: And you have an even more amazing life here in Port Charles. Just think about all the wonderful things Port Charles has to offer, like--well, I'm here, for example. I just--

Patrick: Wow. Smooth, isn't he?

Lisa: Almost as subtle as you were.

Epiphany: Dr. Hunter.

Matt: Yes'm.

Epiphany: You are due in surgery.

Matt: Right. So lunch later?

Lisa: Sure.

Matt: Great.

Patrick: Yeah, he's relentless.

Lisa: I have to admit I am flattered.

Patrick: Well, his ulterior motives aside, it's a great institution here. I've never regretted coming to work here at Port Charles.

Lisa: Well, you did find true love. You think that's in the cards for me? Heh heh.

Patrick: You never know.

Lisa: Oh. Well, seriously, how would you feel about having me around on a permanent basis?

Epiphany: Accident victim coming in. Massive head trauma with spinal injuries. You're both needed in the ER.

Patrick: Okay.

Elizabeth: I don't know if you know this, but Lucky and Rebecca dated for, like, a blink of an eye.

Robin: Oh. How did Nikolas feel about that?

Elizabeth: Well, he was jealous. And so he kissed me to make sure they saw it, and I figured why not? 'Cause in a way, I wanted Lucky to be jealous, too.

Robin: Heh heh. Did it work?

Elizabeth: Yeah. Yeah, it did. Lucky and Rebecca stopped seeing each other, and then later Nikolas and I met up at Jake's so we can discuss what had happened, and we decided to kiss again just to see what it would be like.

Robin: And?

Elizabeth: And I've never been kissed like that ever. And afterwards, I couldn't stop thinking about it. And I know it's crazy, and it doesn't make sense, because Nikolas should be the one person that is totally off-limits to me, but I couldn't help myself. And I know he feels the same way.

Robin: But it didn't stop there.

Elizabeth: Well, we fought it. I mean, we made a point of not being in the same place, 'cause we were just hoping that our feelings for each other would subside. And then the night of the carnival when Jake had almost been killed by the car, he came by to check on me, and we ended up kissing again. And then he left, and Lucky showed up, and next thing I know, Lucky's asking me to marry him.

Robin: Wow. You're dealing with a lot.

Elizabeth: I told Lucky that I needed time to think about it, so I went to Nikolas, and we ended up losing control. And I thought that it was just gonna be a one-time thing, that we would realize what we had done, that we would regret it, and then we would just move on.

Robin: And Lucky was still waiting for an answer to his proposal.

Elizabeth: I just thought that if I committed to Lucky, that all of this with Nikolas would just go away, but it didn’t. My feelings just keep getting stronger.

Robin: Do you love Nikolas?

Elizabeth: I love Lucky, but I can't stop wanting Nikolas.

Lucky: I kept thinking that once we made that one commitment to each other, Elizabeth would feel the same way. But it seems like her fears are getting worse.

Nikolas: Well, maybe you can work through it.

Lucky: That's what I'm hoping for. Every time I consider calling off the engagement, I swing back the other way and decide I need to have faith in us till she feels it again.

Nikolas: Well, maybe that's your answer.

Lucky: If Elizabeth only agreed to marry me to make me happy, I can't stomach that. That's not love. I don't even know what that is, but it's not fair to either one of us.

Maxie: Spinelli cannot see that picture.

Jason: Did you know Franco was taking pictures of you?

Maxie: Well, I heard his camera going off, and I just figured he was doing art and I should just go with it.

Jason: Did you take off the blindfold?

Maxie: Eventually I did, and when I realized what he was doing, I freaked out.

Jason: And how did Franco react to that?

Maxie: Well, he apologized, and it seemed sincere. At least, I wanted to believe it was sincere, so I didn't leave.

Jason: What does his studio look like?

Maxie: A loft with big windows, and he had some art propped up against the walls and some sheets covering stuff.

Jason: Okay, do you know what part of town you were in?

Maxie: No clue, but we drove for, like, 10 or 15 minutes. I don't know in what direction.

Jason: Did you hear any sounds from the street, anything that could help you identify the location?

Maxie: Not really.

Jason: You must have seen or heard something, Maxie.

Maxie: Look, if you're implying that I'm not really good at noticing stuff, I'll have you know I'm incredibly observant. I can go to a fashion event and then later in the night tell you every single outfit and shoe that was worn.

Jason: But you didn't hear anything in Franco's studio?

Maxie: Okay, maybe I heard an occasional passing car, but I didn't hear, like, boats or a train or anything like that. I'm sorry. That's all I can remember. I just don't understand why Franco would take that picture and send it to you of all people, unless it really is art.

Jason: What does that mean?

Maxie: Well, Franco told me he thinks that you're another artist. Isn't that weird? I mean, that's why he wanted to meet you at the gallery, so maybe he sent that picture to try to impress you.

["Mad World" instrumental plays]

Johnny: Sonny.

Olivia: Hey.

Johnny: I didn't realize you were taking a job at Kelly’s.

Olivia: Oh. No, Mike just injured himself. It's just a one-time thing.

Sonny: Mike's very lucky, 'cause she's a fantastic cook.

Johnny: I know.

Sonny: Okay, um, well, thanks for, you know, the fun and the meal. Don't forget what I asked you to do. Here you go.

Olivia: Yo. Yo. Sonny.

Sonny: Keep the change.

[Olivia sighs]

Olivia: It's a $50 tip. I don't know if supposed to take that as a compliment or an insult.

Johnny: You seem pretty keyed up.

Olivia: Yeah. I'm just annoyed. It's just so typical of him.

Johnny: Did I interrupt something here?

Olivia: There's nothing going on between Sonny and I, if that's what you're suggesting.

Johnny: Yeah, you sure about that? 'Cause the way he was lookin' at you...

Olivia: He can look all he wants, all right? I'm not lookin' back. And don't be throwin' any attitude at me either, because I have no idea where we stand right now.

Johnny: Whose fault is that?

Olivia: It's mine.

Johnny: Mm-hmm.

Olivia: Okay, I get that. I know. I've been lyin' to you for months about my own kid, but there's so many mixed signals goin' on here, John. I don't know what to think, if we're back together or if we're apart for good.

Johnny: I don't know what to think either. All I know is I've tried to walk away, and I can’t.

Patrick: Her head injury's definitely life-threatening-- 2 broken blood vessels, bleeding on the brain, internal swelling.

Lisa: We're also looking at spinal damage and crushed bones in both legs.

Patrick: If I don't operate immediately, she's not gonna make it. Usually I'd ask Robin for a consult, but she's not--

Lisa: We don't have time to wait. I need to repair the damage to both her legs and her spine, or she could wind up paralyzed.

Patrick: Okay. You assist on the brain, and I assist on orthopedic.

Lisa: Try and keep up, hotshot.

Patrick: Try and learn something, hotshot.

Elizabeth: I've never been all that passionate. I mean, my sex life with Lucky has been great. He's so gentle and loving, and with Nikolas...

Robin: It's okay. You can tell me.

Elizabeth: It's so intense, sometimes I feel like I'm going crazy.

Robin: Well, I know he feels the same way about you.

Elizabeth: I've never experienced anything like it.

Robin: Do you think it's purely physical?

Elizabeth: Well, that's the thing. I mean, Nikolas and I have been friends for so long, it's literally impossible to separate the physical from the emotional. I mean, we have been there for each other. We have confided in each other. We talk about everything under the sun, been there in grief and--I have genuine feelings for Nikolas.

Robin: He told me that he cares for you deeply, too.

Elizabeth: Well, it doesn't really matter what we feel. We can't act on it. Too many lives would be ruined. And I do love Lucky. I really do with all my heart. And then I see Nikolas, and I lose my resolve. I don't know what I'm gonna do.

Robin: Okay. Well, you can start by being honest with yourself and with Lucky.

Elizabeth: You think I should tell him the truth?

Robin: I don't know. I mean, how much of the truth you tell him is up to you, but you could at least be honest about how conflicted you are.

Elizabeth: I keep having these flashes that he's found out the truth and how angry and betrayed he is. He deserves someone better. He deserves a woman who would be faithful to him.

Robin: Elizabeth, Lucky loves you. And he pretty much always has, and he certainly always will, so whatever you decide to do, what's most important is that you don't torture yourself.

Nikolas: Here you go.

Lucky: I mean, I would have sworn nothing could break us up. I mean, I helped her through that time of healing after the rape. The love between us was so strong. I don't know. Maybe at the end of the day, it's just one too many mistakes for us to overcome.

Nikolas: Well...

Lucky: You're bein' awfully quiet. Am I boring you?

Nikolas: Nah. No, I just really don't know what to say to you about it.

Lucky: Wow. Now I know I'm in trouble. Does she seem different to you?

Nikolas: Different? What do you--how?

Lucky: I don't know. Confused, unhappy.

Nikolas: Not really. I mean, she's maybe a little distracted.

Lucky: Has she said anything specific?

Nikolas: I think you need to ask her. Just be honest with her and let her be honest with you.

Lucky: I've tried. There's something she's not telling me.

Dominic: You got a job for me?

Sonny: Yeah. Yeah, I didn't wanna talk to you about this at Kelly’s this morning.

Dominic: Oh, whose chili tasted better, yours or Ms. Falconeri's?

Sonny: Who do you think? Mine, of course. I'll say one thing about Olivia. She's a hell of a cook and--among other things.

Dominic: Yeah, you know, you might wanna be careful how you-- Claudia hasn't been gone that long. The cops might notice you being with another woman.

Sonny: Ah, I think Olivia can take care of herself.

Dominic: I'm just sayin' you don't wanna pull her into any trouble. That's all.

Sonny: I appreciate your concern, but in order for me to take care of Olivia and anybody else that I care about, we have to deal with the situation at hand. That's why I called you.

Dominic: All right. What's up?

Sonny: Joey Limbo was not acting alone when he set up the ambush against me. He was working with a lieutenant from the Zacchara organization, Tony Bianco.

Dominic: Bianco. He's dangerous. Anyone you sent after him could end up in a body bag.

Sonny: Does that mean you're not up to the job?

[Door opens, knock on door]

Sam: Hey. What's up?

Jason: Got another picture in the mail.

Sam: Oh, my God. Franco.

Jason: It's from the gallery. I already asked Maxie about it. She said that Franco took this picture when she went with him back to his studio. He blindfolded her...

Sam: Uh-huh.

Jason: In the limo so she wouldn't know where he was taking her.

Sam: Ahh. Okay, so Franco blindfolds her, takes her back to his place, puts her in this mock crime scene setup, takes a picture, and sends it to you. What the hell is that about?

Jason: This guy really wants me to notice him.

Sam: Why?

Jason: I don't know why. But I'm assuming that Franco and the homeless guy are the same person. He's goin' to a lot of trouble to get my attention. I refused to meet him at the gallery. Then he takes Maxie back to his studio, puts her in this position, takes a picture, and sends it to me?

Sam: I just don't understand why go through so much effort. What does a big-time artist like Franco want with you?

Matt: Okay, I'm gonna try asking the question a different way. How about tellin' me when Lisa’s gonna be out of the O.R.?

Epiphany: The injuries were critical. The surgery will be over when it's over.

Matt: Thank you. Thank you for that useful information, Epiphany, really.

Robin: Excuse me. Patrick sent a text saying he wanted me to do a consult on something. There should be some ct scans for me to take a look at.

Epiphany: Dr. Drake is in surgery. The injuries were critical. Massive head trauma with spinal injuries. He is now in the O.R. with Dr. Niles.

Robin: Thank you.

Matt: Just a bucket full of cheer, that one. I should be in that O.R. with Lisa right now, by the way.

Robin: It's life and death, Matt, okay, not an opportunity for romance.

Sonny: Is that a problem for you, takin' out Tony Bianco?

Dominic: Look, you want it done, I'll handle it or die tryin'.

Sonny: You're too valuable to waste. I'm gonna get somebody else.

Dominic: Look, I don't want any special treatment around here.

Sonny: What do you mean? You deserve it. Look what you did at the shootout. I'd be dead right now.

Dominic: I saw a gunman. I pushed you down. That was right place, right time. That's all.

Sonny: That's what I'm talkin' about. It's second nature to you, like pushin' my son out of the way at the carnival when the car was gonna hit him and it hit you instead. Most people don't have those kind of instincts. You do.

Dominic: I'm guessing you do, too.

Sonny: Well, maybe that's why I appreciate it. Like I said, I'd be dead if it wasn't for you. I don't wanna squander your life. Excuse me. Johnny, I need you over here. I got a job for you.

Elizabeth: Hi. Can I have a glass of chardonnay, please? Great. Thank you.

Nikolas: I didn't know that you would be here. Want me to leave?

Elizabeth: No, it's fine.

Nikolas: So Lucky and I had a conversation about you earlier. He's wondering if he should call off the engagement.

Elizabeth: Why?

Nikolas: Why? Because he knows something's wrong with you and sees you tearing yourself up about it.

Elizabeth: Well, did you tell him anything?

Nikolas: No. No. He's convinced that you can't get past all the mistakes you--the two of you have made, and he thinks it's his fault because he can't make it right.

Elizabeth: He's been bending over backwards. He's been nothing but sweet and thoughtful to me.

Nikolas: Well, I can tell you he disagrees. He thinks it was selfish to assume that getting remarried is what you both want.

Elizabeth: He's the most unselfish person I've ever known.

Nikolas: I'm just saying he wants you to be happy and knows you're not.

Elizabeth: This has nothing to do with him.

Nikolas: Well, he can't imagine what else it could be.

Elizabeth: Right, 'cause he can't imagine that his brother and fiancée would be sleeping together.

Nikolas: Which is why he deserves to hear the truth from you.

Lucky: Hey.

Maxie: Hey. Thank you for meeting me.

Lucky: Have you decided to tell the truth about what you saw outside Sonny's house the night Claudia disappeared?

Maxie: No, forget Claudia. I'm in huge trouble, and I need your help, and if Spinelli finds out, I'm gonna lose him over this really stupid thing I did that I can't take back.

[Passing sirens]

Lucky: What did you do?

Maxie: I need to find that artist, Franco.

Lucky: Well, he's showin' at the Proett Gallery, and "Crimson" set it up.

Maxie: No, no, you don't understand. He's a major talent on the contemporary art scene, and he lives in Paris and never sees anyone, and I already tried to talk to his agent, but she wasn't much of a help, and I don't where else to turn, so do you think you could help me?

Lucky: Is it that important to you?

Maxie: It's more than important. My life's on the line.

Jason: Second photo I got this month, first one of Claudia, now this. You think they're connected?

Sam: Franco just happened to be in the woods when Claudia was killed?

Jason: Yeah, well, maybe he was followin' me.

Sam: And did what? Took a picture of her dead body and sent it to you instead of the police? Jason, this is getting out there.

Sam: I understand. You saw Franco's art.

Sam: It's twisted. But I don't understand. Why stalk you? What's the motivation?

Jason: I don't know what the motivation is. I don’t. I don't even know if these photos are related. I mean, I can have Spinelli check to see if the photos came from the same type of camera, but I do not want Spinelli to see this picture of Maxie.

Sam: We are gonna go to the gallery first, and we're gonna pretend that we're interested in buying one of his pieces, say that we wanna meet the artist. I mean, it's worth a try.

Jax: Hey.

Olivia: Hey.

Jax: Have you heard from Dante today?

Olivia: He stopped by earlier. What happened?

Jax: He, uh--he has a recording of Sonny admitting his guilt in Claudia’s murder. He expects to secure a warrant for his arrest anytime now.

Olivia: Thank you for telling me.

Jax: Take it you're not too happy about that.

Olivia: Well, this is all isn't just so cut and dry for the rest of us, Jax, especially for Dante.

Jax: Well, he seems pretty happy with the end result.

Olivia: My son is a very good cop, but he's dealing with people now that he's gotten to know and he's gotten to care about.

Jax: Well, if you're referring to Michael and Morgan, they're better off without their father.

Olivia: That is so easy for you to say, Jax.

Jax: Same goes for your kid, Olivia. Once Sonny's arrested, Dante will be out of danger. No one ever has to find out that Sonny's his father.

Olivia: If you want me to say that I'm happy that Sonny's goin' to prison, that it's for the best, maybe. I don't know. But I'm not gonna be happy about it.

Jax: Well, I hope that you make peace with it.

Olivia: Like you have?

Jax: I need to know that you won't have an attack of conscience and give away my part in Sonny's arrest.

Elizabeth: I have run it through my head every possible way. I cannot tell Lucky that I've been with you. It'll hurt him too much.

Nikolas: Then what's the alternative here? Continue to torture yourself?

Elizabeth: Okay, so what happens if I tell him? Where do Lucky and I go from there?

Nikolas: I don't know. You'll suffer the consequences and have to move on.

Elizabeth: Oh, yeah. The truth will set me free.

Nikolas: Well, it's better than the purgatory you're in right now.

Elizabeth: Do you know what this is gonna do to him, the realization that all of his dreams have been shattered?

Nikolas: But he already knows that there's something wrong. He deserves to hear something.

Elizabeth: He deserves to know that his brother and fiancée have been sleeping together?

Nikolas: Ahem. Okay.

Elizabeth: And why are you putting this all on me? What about you? Can you honestly look him in the eye and tell him that you've been having sex with me?

Nikolas: Okay, all right. All right. Okay, maybe just tell him that you're having second thoughts about the engagement. Just tell him that, because he is beating himself up over this because he thinks he pushed you into an engagement you just don't want.

Elizabeth: But I do want it, because I love him, and I wanna spend the rest of my life with him. The only thing messing me up is my feelings for you.

Lucky: Yeah, I saw some of Franco's work when I was at the gallery following up on a case.

Maxie: Creepy, isn't it? All those crime scenes and images of death. It's gross.

Lucky: Why is your life on the line? Did someone threaten you?

Maxie: Not exactly.

Lucky: Okay, then why do you need my help?

Maxie: Okay, I was supposed to try to convince Franco to do a photo shoot for "Crimson," and I knew it was impossible, but Kate said I should try anyway. And I went with Franco to his studio and let him take compromising photos of me. Don't let your mind run wild. It could be worse.

Lucky: And now you want the photos back.

Maxie: I have to destroy them.

Lucky: Well, they're Franco's property, and he did have your consent.

Maxie: I know. I know. I should have thought it through, but you know me. I just acted on the moment, and now I have to fix it. So I was thinking if I could talk to Franco, maybe I could convince him to destroy the photos, but I would have to find him first with your help. Please?

Lucky: I can run a check on the guy, but if he doesn't have a criminal record, there's not much I can do.

Sam: Okay. All right. Thanks. Yep. It's open till 8:00.

Jason: All right. Let's go.

Sam: I'm feeling really bad for Maxie right now. I know she's really ambitious about her career, I know she didn't think this through, and I just hope it doesn't come back to haunt her.

Jason: Well, I'm the one that Franco wants. We just need to find out why. Let's go.

Spinelli: Oh. Greetings. You all are leaving just as I arrive?

Sam: Actually, yeah. Jason's helping me out on an investigation.

Spinelli: For McCall and Jackal? Perhaps I could be of assistance.

Jason: Well, we'll let you know.

Sam: Yeah.

Spinelli: Oh. Well, actually, you know, before you go, if you could spare a few moments. See, Maximista's recent behavior--

Jason: You know, can we do this later? We're really in a hurry.

Sam: Yeah. Sorry.

Spinelli: Well, good luck, whatever your...

[Door closes]

Spinelli: Mission may be.

["Mad World" instrumental playing]

Olivia: Don't tell me you're having second thoughts?

Jax: No, I'm not having second thoughts. Once Sonny's locked up, my family will be out of danger once and for all.

Olivia: So then why don't you just tell Carly what you did and explain yourself?

Jax: Oh, no, no, no. Carly would never understand.

Olivia: So much for an open, honest relationship.

Jax: Hey, if Carly found out that I had a part in putting Sonny away for the rest of his life, it will destroy my family, okay? Carly can never know.

Olivia: Okay, just so you know, everyone else in this is gonna be bleeding in the aftermath, all right? Sonny'll be in prison. My kid'll be shredded up from all the betrayal, and I know I will be chokin' on all my secrets and my lies, and you're just gonna walk off smellin' like a rose with your new family all intact. That's how it works for you, isn't it, Jax? Winner takes all.

Sonny: I want you to check out Tony Bianco, see if he was workin' with Joey Limbo.

Dominic: If you need any help, I can arrange some--

Sonny: Bianco is a longtime Zacchara associate. Johnny can handle it.

Johnny: I'm on it.

Sonny: Dominic, I told you I don't want you involved.

Dominic: I know. I'm sorry. I just happen to believe that I--

Sonny: Okay. You know what? Do me--when I ask you to do something, just follow the order. Eh?

Dominic: Look, Sonny, with all due respect, what you just did wasn't worthy of you.

Sonny: Heh. Heh. What you implying?

Dominic: Johnny's been seeing Ms. Falconeri.

Sonny: Okay.

Dominic: So maybe you're sending Johnny to die because you want her all to yourself.

Sam: Ohh. There is seriously something off with this guy.

Attendant: Welcome to the Proett Gallery. If I can answer any questions...

Sam: Yes, you can, actually. We were here for Franco's show the other night, and we're interested in buying one of his pieces.

Attendant: You're Jason Morgan, aren't you?

["Mad World" playing]

Jason: Yes.

Attendant: You're exactly as Mr. Franco described. We've been expecting you.

Spinelli: The Bernificent one will be pleased to know that as of this moment, the bank transfers are en route to their final destination. You are most welcome. I bid you adieu.

[Knock on door]

Maxie: Hi.

Spinelli: Hi.

Maxie: Are you alone?

Spinelli: Yes. Stone Cold and fair Samantha left.

Maxie: Good. I wanted to catch up, because I was so sick on Thanksgiving, and then when you came by the office to see me, I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off. Where'd you get that?
