Elizabeth: May I have a couple of chicken sandwiches on sourdough with 2 apples and a cheese platter, please?

Mike: All right. Coming right up. So, where are you two lovebirds headed, huh?

Elizabeth: Lucky's taking me hiking in the woods.

Mike: Ooh.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles]

Nikolas: Sounds like fun.

Elizabeth: Ohh. Nikolas, are you following me?

Nikolas: Heh. Well --

Rebecca: Nikolas...hi.

Nikolas: Hey.

Rebecca: I'm glad you got my message.

[Both chuckle]

[Elevator dings]

[Telephones ringing]

Lisa: Oh, excuse me. I'm looking for the administration office.

Robin: Uh, yes. If you're here to pick up records, they're on the sixth floor.

Lisa: You know, actually, I wanted to make an appointment with a doctor.

Patrick: Lisa?

Lisa: Patrick. [Chuckling]

Patrick: Hey. How are you?

Lisa: My God. You look exactly the same.

Patrick: What are you doing at general hospital?

Robin: Whoa, whoa. Wait. Hold on. Back up. Are...

Patrick: Yes. This is Dr. Lisa Niles.

Robin: The college girlfriend.

Lisa: Yeah.

[Door opens]

[Horns honking in background]

Dominic: How are you holding up?

Johnny: Well, still trying to believe my sister is dead and I'm never gonna see her again.

Dominic: I don't have a sibling, but I mean, I know it's gotta be tough on you.

Johnny: Yeah. Even tougher when you're mourning and everybody else is dancing in the streets.

Dominic: Did you, uh, find anything knew? Anything that would help us find out who killed Claudia?

Spinelli: The origin of the photograph taken at the scene of Claudia's death remains elusive.

Jason: You figured out the make and model of the camera?

Spinelli: Uh, yes. It is undoubtedly a Lensco SC 817 with thermal imaging, originally designed for defense work.

Sam: Well, that's good. It should narrow it down.

Spinelli: Well, it is relatively rare, but thousands have been sold for civilian use.

Sam: Okay. Well, if we can't come up with anything more definite, I would imagine that we're gonna have to wait for the sender to contact you with demands.

[Knock on door]

[Jason sighs]

Lucky: You got a minute?

Patrick: Why did you not tell me you were coming to Port Charles?

Lisa: I wanted to surprise you and meet the family. I assume you're the woman who's brave enough to marry this hound dog?

Patrick: Yeah, one in the same.

Robin: Thank you so much for that bucket of beer that you sent Patrick, by the way.

Patrick: Yes, naked beer -- good to the last drop.

Lisa: I'm sure he told you the story.

Robin: Mm-hmm.

Lisa: Well, I thought it would be nice to give the new dad a taste of the glory days in between, you know, diaper changes. You had a girl, right?

Robin: Yes, Emma.

Lisa: Oh, I cannot wait for the day she starts dating a guy like Patrick.

Patrick: Not gonna happen. She'll be locked in the attic.

Robin: Yes. According to all the stories, your college days were legendary.

Lisa: Mmm. Well, thank God we outgrew them.

Patrick: Yes, thank God.

Lisa: Which, uh, brings me to why I came.

Patrick: Say no more. If you need me for a consult, I'm available.

Lisa: Actually, it's with Robin, not you.

Dominic: Okay. Uh...I told you I'd help you find answers.

Johnny: I got answers. Sonny killed my sister. Okay? And I get it. From a business standpoint, someone gets in your way, you eliminate them. But it's not like Claudia was some anonymous business rival. She was Sonny's wife. And then when you dispose of her like she was some sack of yard mulch...

Dominic: Claudia was walking a pretty dangerous line.

Johnny: Look, I warned her several times about the price she would have to pay if Sonny found out she was responsible for Michael's shooting. But she had this dream. Heh. When she lost that baby, she was devastated, and she just wanted to have another child with Sonny. She wanted them to raise that baby together. A lot of people thought my sister was cold-blooded, and... she was, in a lot of ways. But underneath all of her defenses was just a lost girl who had a heart.

Dominic: You think Sonny ever cared for her?

Johnny: Uh, Sonny married her to cement the business deal that she had with my father. I don't know. I...she was a good wife, in her own way. She thought it would protect her. But in the end, nothing could.

Dominic: And now you want to avenge her death.

Johnny: Sonny committed murder. He shouldn't be able to just walk away clean.

Jason: Is this official?

Lucky: No. Not that it matters. You can stonewall me either way. Could we talk in private?

[Jason sighs]

Spinelli: I'll continue my work.

Lucky: I hope that helping Jason doesn't get you into trouble.

Sam: Jason didn't do anything wrong. And neither did I.

Jason: So, what do you want to know, Lucky?

Lucky: Exactly what happened at that cabin the night Claudia was killed.

Jason: I have given you my official statement.

Lucky: Yeah, there's that. And then there's the truth. Here's what we've got. Based on the phone records and the statements... you and Sam saw Carly at the cabin. Sam drove Carly to the hospital in your SUV. You called Sonny from Sam's phone when he left the house. Now, the rest is just conjecture, but it's not gonna take a whole lot of effort to mount a compelling case behind it. Sonny drove to the cabin and executed Claudia. Then the cabin was burned down to cover up the murder. And someone, maybe Max or Milo, disposed of Claudia's body.

Jason: That's a lot of speculation.

Lucky: Well, that's the scenario that best fits the evidence. But I don't believe that's what happened.

Rebecca: You're not allowed at Wyndemere until I say so.

Nikolas: Even though it's my own house?

Rebecca: Yeah. Alfred and I have a little surprise for you. We thought it was gonna be ready by now, but, uh, we're running a little behind schedule.

Nikolas: Uh, okay. Well, when can I return?

Rebecca: When I call you on your cell and I tell you that you can. Okay?

Nikolas: Okay.

Rebecca: [Chuckles] I promise it's gonna be worth the wait.

Nikolas: All right. As you obviously observed, I am not following you.

Elizabeth: Can I speak to you outside for a moment?

Nikolas: Sure.

[Clears throat]

Elizabeth: Um... Obviously, Rebecca has something romantic planned for the two of you, and I just wanted you to know that...I'm glad.

Nikolas: Oh. You're glad.

Elizabeth: Yeah. Yeah, I'm glad. I'm glad that you're working things out with her, because it'll make it that much easier for us to get on with our own lives.

Nikolas: Really?

Elizabeth: Mm-hmm.

Nikolas: Now look at me in the eyes and say that again.

Elizabeth: I don't -- I don't want to do this anymore. You know I want to try to work things out with Lucky.

Nikolas: I may be selfish enough to betray my own brother, but at least I'm honest with myself. At least I can admit what I want.

Lisa: The tumor was attached to the girl's spinal cord. I surgically removed it, but she still hasn't recovered full function in her legs.

Robin: And how long has it been?

Lisa: Four months.

Robin: Okay. She's doing physical therapy?

Lisa: Uh, yes. But I know that you've had success with similar cases.

Robin: I have. And I have to say, I'm impressed that you are considering other options besides surgery.

Lisa: Well, I am the first to admit that I love the challenges of surgery, but I'm humble enough to know that it may not always be the answer.

Robin: [Chuckles] The operative word being "humble." This guy over here, who always insists that surgery is the answer, doesn't know the meaning of the word.

Patrick: Yeah. And I'm right here, and I can hear you.

Robin: Please tell me his ego was not this big in college.

Lisa: Uh, he tried to show up our professor in a biology lab, and I put a sign on one of the chairs -- "reserved for Patrick Drake's ego."

[Both chuckling]

Robin: And he liked it.

Lisa: Loved it.

Matt: Who's the hottie with Robin?

Patrick: That would be Lisa, my college ex-girlfriend. She's here for a consultation with Robin.

Lisa: Um, I guess so. Yeah...

Matt: You are so dead.

Lisa: It was hilarious, actually.

Robin: Yeah? He looks better now?

Lisa: Um, I guess so, yeah...

Matt: Finished.

Nikolas: Stop lying to yourself, Liz.

Elizabeth: Nikolas, please. We can't be together. We need to accept that.

Nikolas: Okay, then. Walk away. Walk away. I won't follow you. Leave. Never look back. Go ahead. That's what we want.

[Footsteps approaching]

Robin: [Gasps] I don't believe this. You just get engaged to Lucky, and you two are all over each other?

[Nikolas clears throat]

Elizabeth: Robin, it's not like that.

Robin: In a public place, no less? I mean, right outside of Kelly's, where Lucky could run into you?

Nikolas: Don't --

Robin: Is that what this is about? You want him to find out, so that you don't have to hide your infidelity anymore?

Nikolas: Don't tear into her. It's not her fault.

Robin: You know if Lucky finds out, he'll never forgive you. It will be over for the two of you. And if he files for custody of your children, I...will testify on his behalf.

Sam: Elizabeth... are you all right?

Elizabeth: [Exhales] Yeah. Uh, yeah, I'm fine. It's just -- it was a really... just a long morning at work.

Sam: Oh. Okay. Um, I hope your day improves.

Elizabeth: Sam... when I was with Jason, I judged you an awful lot. And I look back now, and I see what a hypocrite I was. I had no right to cast judgment on anyone. Lord knows I'm not proud of anything that I've done. So, I owe you an apology. You don't have to accept it. I'm not sure I would.

Lucky: You and Sonny are too smart to have handled it like that. Claudia would still be dead, no question, but there wouldn't be anything leading back to Sonny. Which means that something else happened -- something that made you and Sonny have to improvise. You're covering up more than a murder.

Jason: What do you want me to say? Do you want to hear that I've got nothing to say without my attorney -- again?

Lucky: I'm not condoning what you do, Jason, and I'm not looking the other way. But... you gave up your own child because your life is too dangerous. You knew Elizabeth and I could give Jake a safe and happy home. And I respect you for that decision.

Jason: You have a murder to solve, Lucky.

Lucky: Yeah, I do.

[Jason sighs]

Lucky: A few more pieces of evidence, and I'm taking myself off this case for a conflict of interest. But when I step down, somebody else is gonna take my place. And that cop is gonna ride this thing -- all the way to a murder charge against Sonny and you.

[Jason sighs]

[Knock on door]

Olivia: Hey, honey.

Dominic: Hey, Ma. Thanks for leaving work early.

Olivia: What did you want to see me about?

Dominic: Well, I'm betraying all kinds of confidences here, but I'm scared for you, so... take a look.

Olivia: Is that...

Dominic: Claudia's body -- on the floor of the cabin where Carly gave birth.

Olivia: Where did you get this?

Dominic: Sonny. The photo was sent to him anonymously -- to Jason.

Olivia: Oh. God, that is horrible. First, Claudia is killed in cold blood, and then someone has taken pictures of it? I mean -- who would do that?

Dominic: Your boyfriend?

Olivia: John? No. No. No way. There is -- there's no way that John's responsible for this.

Dominic: Look, Ma, I'm not saying that he killed Claudia, but let's face it. The Zaccharas have a genetic screw loose. And maybe Johnny was wound a little tight, and Claudia's death was what sent him off the rails.

Spinelli: Johnny?

[Footsteps approaching]

Johnny: What are you doin'?

Spinelli: Uh, I'm -- I'm just admiring your photographic equipment. I -- I have a fair to passing knowledge of cameras, but I -- I don't know that model. Which one is it?

Johnny: Claudia got it for me. I don't know, some fancy artist grade with a hell of a lot more bells and whistles than I know what to do with. But she wanted me to have the best.

Spinelli: It's a very considerate gift, indeed.

Johnny: Yeah. I didn't even appreciate it at the time. I was so fed up with my sister, ticked off with her at all the choices she was making. I'm not even sure I thanked her. [Chuckles] Hindsight's twenty-twenty, right? But now, there's a whole bunch of things I wish I could tell her, like how much she meant to me. I never would have made it out of my childhood without her.

Spinelli: As inadequate as it may seem, memories and photographs, they bring some comfort in time of pain.

Johnny: [Chuckles] Yeah. They do. Ahh. I was going through my pictures, realizing that I didn't have very many... of Claudia. But a few months back, she convinced me to go to the park with her. [Chuckling] So, I went, took a couple of pictures of her on the playground riding the swings, and...this particular picture, she was laughing so hard. I don't remember why.

Spinelli: Your sister was unceasingly loyal to you. That's for sure.

Johnny: Yeah. She loved me. And I didn't say it often enough, but I loved her, too. Let's be honest, Spinelli. You're not here to reminisce about my sister, are you? (Sighs)

Olivia: Johnny would not send a photograph of his sister's dead body to Sonny and Jason.

Dominic: Think it over, Ma. Johnny's grieving. He's furious. His sister's just been murdered in cold blood.

Olivia: This photograph would mean that he was in the cabin that night. It doesn't even make any sense.

Dominic: Or someone else took the photo and sent it to him.

Olivia: Like who?

Dominic: I don't know. I don't have all the pieces of the puzzle just yet.

Olivia: You don't have anything. You don't have any proof. So, why are you even suggesting this? Because you don't like Johnny and I together? You don't approve?

Dominic: Do you think this is fun for me?

Olivia: I don't know. You tell me.

Dominic: Look, I'm just trying to figure out who had motive here. Johnny has a temper. He's unpredictable. He had a sister who was just murdered.

Olivia: Dante, I know Johnny better than anyone on this earth. Now that his sister is gone, he is not capable of doing this.

Dominic: Look, Johnny loved his sister. She was murdered like a dog, and her body was disposed of God knows where. Okay? He wants Jason and Sonny to pay. If he managed to get his hands on a crime scene photo, he'd use it in a heartbeat if he could make these guys twist in the wind for what they did. Okay, What would you do if Jason and Sonny murdered me and covered up any trace of proof, but you had something. What would you do with it?

Spinelli: I came to commiserate over the loss of your sister. There are few that you can turn to, particularly among your business associates.

Johnny: A number of them wanted her dead anyway. They would spit on her grave if they knew where it was.

Spinelli: I would not be among their number. Claudia was... she was always kind to me.

Johnny: She liked you, Spinelli.

Spinelli: She was a misguided soul.

Johnny: Heh. Well, look. I'm not gonna sit here and defend what Claudia did to Carly and Michael, but...she had no idea Michael was gonna be in the warehouse that night. She had no intention of him getting shot, and she was truly remorseful in the aftermath.

Spinelli: Hence her frequent visits to his bedside.

Johnny: Claudia would have done anything to take back what happened that night. The night she kidnapped Carly, again, was unforgivable. [Exhales] The way...Sonny called her out in front of that whole group of people...the way he threw it in her face that he was glad their baby died, it's no wonder my sister snapped. But I'm her brother -- was her brother. She was cornered, and I did nothing to help her.

Rebecca: Bonjour. Heh.

Nikolas: Hey.

Rebecca: Hey. Well, welcome to Provence. [Chuckling]

Nikolas: Yeah. This is -- this is quite the spread.

Rebecca: Yeah. Do you like it?

Nikolas: Um, yeah, very much so. It's almost as if you read my mind. [Chuckling]

Rebecca: Really?

Nikolas: Yeah.

Rebecca: You were thinking about having a picnic with a woman that's been...mmm. Fantasizing about you all afternoon?

Nikolas: What gave you the idea to do this?

Rebecca: Well, I wanted to come up with something that you'd really enjoy. So, I asked myself, "what kind of food does Nikolas really like?"

Nikolas: French.

Rebecca: Mm-hmm. And then I asked myself, "What romantic country have I always wanted to go to?"

Nikolas: France.

Rebecca: Yes. You're good at this. But then again, you're good at a lot of things.

[Both moan]

Nikolas: So, what did you bring me? Ah. My favorite burgundy.

Rebecca: Yeah. [Chuckling]

Nikolas: Very nice.

Rebecca: That's why I was running late. The wine store on Eighth Street is the only place that carries it. Nikolas...maybe we could go to France someday. Hmm? Tour the burgundy region, get off the beaten path and explore the towns and the vineyards... and share long...[Moaning] Lingering...

Nikolas: [Chuckling]

Rebecca: Evenings with a bottle of wine.

Mike: I, uh, threw in a couple of the chocolate chip cookies as a kind of congratulations for your reengagement.

Elizabeth: Oh, thanks, Mike.

Mike: It's nice when something works out. And you and Lucky, you deserve to make it.

Elizabeth: [Sighs] Thanks.

Lucky: Hey. Sorry I'm late.

Elizabeth: HI.

Lucky: I was paying Jason an unofficial visit.

Elizabeth: Jason? Why?

Lucky: Uh, following up on Claudia's disappearance.

Elizabeth: Well, have you found any new evidence?

Lucky: Uh...Not yet, but we're closing in. If any of the evidence points to Jason, though, I can't be the one to arrest him. I'll have to take myself off the case.

Elizabeth: I'm sorry, Lucky. I know this is all my fault.

Lucky: No. No, don't -- don't blame yourself.

Elizabeth: I lied about being involved with another man, and I didn't tell you. I don't know why I didn't just tell you.

[Knock on door]

Sam: How'd it go with Lucky?

Jason: He tried to warn me. He's smart enough to know this evidence doesn't add up.

Sam: Okay. Well, do you think he suspects that Michael killed Claudia?

Jason: No.

Sam: No. What did you tell him?

Jason: Nothing. He didn't press me.

Sam: Ohh. Okay. This has gotta be really difficult for you, dealing with Lucky because of Jake and...

Jason: Yeah. Lucky's been a terrific father to my son. I know that he loves Jake, and when I see them together, it's obvious Jake loves him.

Sam: Yeah. And you wish that things could be different.

Jason: Jake is where he needs to be. He's happy, and he's safe, and I owe a lot of that to Lucky.

Sam: Uh...Lucky is a good person. And I do know that he loves Elizabeth and the boys a lot. I just...[Sighs] Jason, I don't think that she feels the same way about being engaged to him as he does.

Matt: Letting the wife compare notes with the ex-girlfriend or the college girlfriend? Not a good idea.

Patrick: You're overreacting. They're getting along fine, and that's a good thing.

Matt: Until they start the inevitable slide into who knows you better, and that becomes competitive, and then the raging hormones start, and then claws --

Patrick: You're sexist. You know that?

Matt: Fine, fine. Ignore me. Even as your wife learns exactly what you were like under the influence of 6 or 7 Jell-O shooters.

Patrick: Robin knows that I was a pig. We've talked about it. She's accepted it. There's nothing that Lisa could say that would change her mind of that.

[Elevator dings]

Robin: So, how did you get into orthopedics?

Lisa: Uh, the sympathy factor. I was a dancer when I was a kid, and I got sidelined by an injury. So, when I got to med school, I found myself gravitating to that field, and, well, here I am. I'm hoping you don't hold it against me that I used to date Patrick.

Robin: Oh -- [Chuckling]

Lisa: I could really use your input on this case.

Robin: Sure. I will do an analysis of the spinal chord tumor, and I'll get back to you.

Lisa: Thanks. I appreciate it.

Patrick: Okay. How deep of a hole did you put me in with the wife?

Lisa: [Chuckling] Oh, would I give the secrets away of your frat boy days?

Patrick: In a heartbeat.

Lisa: Well, as it happens, you're temporarily off the hook. Uh, most of my conversation with Robin was about the case I asked her to consult me on.

Patrick: Really? So, no Jell-O shooter shot stories or anything?

Lisa: [Chuckling] Maybe later, when I know Robin better. were wild back in the day.

Patrick: Me? I was just trying to keep up with you.

Lisa: Oh?

Patrick: Yeah.

Lisa: Well -- well.... it was a long time ago.

Patrick: It was. Sometimes, it doesn't seem like it was that long ago.

Dominic: Sonny asked me to find out who sent the photo.

Olivia: Not even knowing that he's handing over evidence that Claudia was killed to the guy that's investigating him.

Dominic: You know what? That's all part of it, Ma. I gain Sonny's trust, I collect evidence, I build a case against him.

Olivia: And what if Sonny didn't do this? Or Jason? What if it was somebody else?

Dominic: Okay, look. As far as I can tell, Jason and Sam are the first to arrive at the cabin. Sam takes Carly to the hospital. Jason sticks around, calls Sonny. He shows up and kills Claudia.

Olivia: Do you have any proof?

Dominic: Some, and I'll get more.

Olivia: I feel like I'm standing by a train track watching a wreck here.

Dominic: Look I know -- I know this isn't easy for you.

Olivia: No, I'm worried about you. Baby, you've gotten to see that Sonny isn't this monster that you thought he was. You're friends with his ex-wife, with all of his kids. Now you're involved with Lulu, one of his best friend's daughters --

Dominic: Let's not bring her into this. Barely know the girl. She'll even tell you herself.

Olivia: This is one case in a lifetime full of cases. I'm begging you to walk away from this before you get in too far and you wind up paying the price.

Dominic: Look, Sonny has been evading the law for decades. I've got a chance to bring him down, and I'm going to. There's no way to stop what's coming, Ma.

Olivia: God, you are so stubborn.

Dominic: Well, the apple doesn't fall far.

Olivia: [Sighs] Aren't you gonna need this?

Dominic: No, uh, you can keep it. I made copies -- a little reminder of what this guy Sonny who isn't a monster can do to his wife.

Elizabeth: I've been so unfair to you. I should have told you the truth right from the start, and I don't know why I couldn't. I just didn't -- I was so -- I was so afraid that you weren't gonna love me anymore. I was so afraid to lose you.

Lucky: [Sighs] We've been through this, Elizabeth.

Elizabeth: [Voice quavering] I'm sorry, Lucky. I'm sorry.

Lucky: Stop saying that. I've already forgiven you.

Elizabeth: Ohh. Well, maybe I don't deserve to be forgiven.

Lucky: Who does? I mean, that's what forgiveness is. It's something that we don't deserve. Look, I'm not saying that we just pretend like nothing happened. Okay? Things went wrong -- very, very wrong -- and it hurt like hell for both of us. But the only way that we're gonna move forward is to let go of all of that stuff. Elizabeth... I forgive you.

Elizabeth: You don't understand, Lucky. I --

Lucky: No, no. I understand. I'm the one that screwed up in the first place. I mean, I got addicted to drugs. I -- I cheated with Maxie. I deserve as much blame as you do.

Elizabeth: No, no you don't. Uh, you don't.

Lucky: Listen to me. I finally managed to... receive forgiveness for myself, okay? And because I did, I'm free now to love you with all of my heart. That's what forgiveness does, Elizabeth. It sets you free.

Patrick: Do you remember when we celebrated final exams by climbing on the roof of the administrative building?

[Lisa chucking]

Patrick: Yeah?

Lisa: And you peered over the edge and poured beer on passers-bys.

Patrick: It seemed like a good idea at the time.

Lisa: And so did having sex up there.

Patrick: Ohh. The perfect mixture of pleasure and pain. I had tar on my ass for 2 weeks.

Lisa: Oh, my God.

Patrick: I know.

Robin: I took a look at the case, and I wrote up my recommendations.

Lisa: Ah. Thanks for the quick turnaround. I will take a look at these as soon as possible.

Patrick: See ya.

Lisa: See ya. Thanks, guys.

Robin: See ya.

Patrick: Yeah. [Exhales] There goes a wild woman.

Robin: Well, they don't call 'em the glory days for nothin'.

Patrick: Heh.

Robin: You miss 'em?

Patrick: Not at all. I wouldn't change my life for the world.

Robin: Even to party like a rock star?

Patrick: I'm just glad I made it through and it led me to you. Mmm. And it even rhymed.

[Knock on door]

Johnny: Hey.

Olivia: Hey, honey. Mmm. How are you?

Johnny: Mmm.

Olivia: Come in.

Johnny: I got your message.

Olivia: Yeah. You want something? A glass of wine or a snack? I got the usual assortment of leftovers.

Johnny: No, I'm fine. You don't have to take care of me.

Olivia: Maybe I want to take care of you. Did you ever think of that? You're going through a tough time right now, honey.

Johnny: Yeah.

Olivia: I want you to know that anything you need to say, well, you can say to me. Okay?

Johnny: Yeah. You've been great through this whole thing, Liv. Thank you. And I know my sister was vicious to you, so you don't need to go on lighting any candles or anything, all right?

Olivia: I was no angel to your sister, either. Okay? But my feelings are beside the point. You loved your sister. And Claudia's love for you was one of the best things about her. So, I understand that you're... grieving, and you're angry. Y-you might even want revenge.

Johnny: You're afraid I'm gonna do something to Sonny?

Elizabeth: How far do you think we've gone?

Lucky: Uh, I don't know, couple of miles.

Elizabeth: Do you want to continue on to the bluff? Oh, ho ho. What, are you tired already?

Lucky: No. It's just, uh, it's a perfect spot. There's a great view right through the trees there.

Elizabeth: Oh, yeah. That's perfect.

Lucky: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Ohh.

Lucky: So, what's for lunch?

Elizabeth: Ohh. I've got a little of everything. I got a couple of sandwich and apples and cheese. And Mike put these in there, 'cause I didn't have the heart to tell him that I'd already made brownies.

Lucky: Ooh, brownies.

Elizabeth: Yes. Now, I know that we're supposed to be looking forward and not back, but some of the things about our past are just too good to pass up.

Lucky: I couldn't agree more.

Elizabeth: Mmm.

Lucky: You should have brought your canvas and easel. You could have painted the view.

Elizabeth: Aw, while you serenade me on your guitar.

Lucky: There's a scary thought. It's been a while.

Elizabeth: God. How did we go from being an artist and musician to a nurse and a cop? What happened?

Lucky: I don't know. We're still doing things we love. It's just different -- getting paid for it.

Elizabeth: Yeah. We're really raking in the bucks.

Lucky: Hey, we're rich, in all the ways that count.

Nikolas: I'm sorry. I can't -- I can't do this anymore.

Rebecca: What? I don't understand.

Nikolas: [Exhales] Look at the effort you put into this, all the thought and care. Look, I'm so sorry --

Rebecca: I thought it would be fun for both of us.

Nikolas: I lied to you, Rebecca. Everything I said, all the promises I made -- they're lies, all of them.

Rebecca: What do you mean?

Nikolas: What Ethan said to you was true. I did want revenge. I did offer him a million dollars to take you away from me.

Rebecca: Why?

Rebecca: Are you deliberately trying to hurt me?

Nikolas: I -- I was, but now I'm trying to stop. I mean, this isn't fair to either one of us. I -- I can't pretend anymore.

Rebecca: What exactly are you pretending?

Nikolas: Okay. When I found out that you were lying to me, I vowed to pay you back by making you fall in love with me and -- and then dropping you. But w-wait. Then I realized that you had a good heart and that you didn't deserve it.

Rebecca: Oh. So, why didn't you tell me?

Nikolas: Because I really didn't want to hurt you, Rebecca. Honestly, I didn't. So, I enlisted Ethan, offered him money. But to his credit, he didn't take it. And then I... I just decided to... keep you for myself.

Rebecca: Why, if you didn't care?

Nikolas: I don't -- I'm not sure exactly. Ease, maybe, convenience? And then I --

Rebecca: Ease and convenience? What does that mean, Nikolas? That I was handy to have around? I was handy to sleep with?

Nikolas: No. Wait, please. I --

Rebecca: Uhh.

Nikolas: I'm sorry. Uh... okay. I was never free to love you... because I love someone else.

Elizabeth: Thank you, Lucky...

Lucky: You're welcome.

Elizabeth: For knowing this is exactly what I needed.

Lucky: You have an eyelash. Here. I -- I got it.

[Elizabeth giggles]

Lucky: I got it. Here. Make a wish.

Lucky: That was a pretty serious wish. What was it?

Elizabeth: Oh, I can't tell you that. It won't come true.

Lucky: You really believe that?

Elizabeth: I believe that some things are precious. And if you don't cherish them or take care of them, then you might lose them. What? What are you seeing?

Lucky: There's, like, a sign over there by that tree. I think this property is for sale. Just a second.

Anthony: So?

Joey: The arrangements have been made. I'm meeting with Sonny on Thursday to discuss a truce.

Anthony: Sonny thinks he's putting one over on me, but we got a little surprise waiting for Mr. Dimples.

Joey: [Chuckles] The building where we're gonna meet -- perfect for an ambush.

Anthony: Do it right. No mistakes. This is your chance to kill the beast. You're gonna chop off its head and then its right arm, and then you're gonna bring them to me on a platter.

Jason: Sonny has a meeting with Joey Limbo.

Dominic: Joey agreed?

Jason: Luke Spencer acted as go-between. Sonny's gonna try to make peace with Joey and cut Anthony Zacchara out.

Dominic: That's a smart move. Anything I can do to help?

Jason: Sonny wants you there just in case.

Dominic: Is he expecting trouble?

Jason: Just being cautious. There's been enough violence. We need it to end.

Olivia: [Sighs] Honey, I want Claudia's death to be the end of all the hatred and all the violence, okay? Not the start of more.

Johnny: That's up to Sonny.

Olivia: I know that you're angry that your sister got killed.

Johnny: I just want to know what happened to her. That's it.

Olivia: If somebody doesn't walk away from this, someone else is gonna wind up getting killed, and I don't want that someone to be you.

Johnny: It's not gonna be me.

Olivia: Hey, look. I know that you can't make me any promises. All right? I'm not asking for any. I just want us to be together.

Johnny: That's all I want, too.

Olivia: Okay. I'm gonna get you something to eat.

Johnny: [Sighs] Where's that damn corkscrew? [Exhales]
