Carly: Wow, no grass growing under his feet, huh?

Alexis: He needed a friend to talk to.

Carly: About what? Divorce?

Alexis: Of course not.

Carly: Last time we split up, you represented him.

Alexis: I would not get in the middle of a divorce between the two of you right now. I'm here as a friend.

Carly: You're Jax's friend. You're not my friend.

Alexis: Carly, you just had baby. If you go through some sort of a custody battle, that would be the most ridiculous --

Carly: Jax came to you about custody of our daughter?

Jax: All I'm asking is that you talk to Carly. Help her understand why I kept quiet about my brother's involvement in Michael's shooting.

Jason: This is between you and Carly.

Jax: I wouldn't be here if I wasn't desperate to save my marriage, right? Carly respects you, Jason. You're the one person whose advice she actually listens to. So if you ask her to reconcile with me, she may just consider it.

Jason: Jax, I understand that, but I am done telling Carly what to do. I talked her into going back to Sonny more than once, and look at the damage it's caused.

Dominic: Hey, Graciella, let me get that for you.

Graciella: Oh. That's all right, Dominic. I don't want you getting dirty.

Dominic: You look a lot nicer than I do. And besides, I'm used to it. My mom got me to carry the garbage out as soon as I was big enough to lift the bags. So I can take it.

Graciella: You're such a gentleman. Not like those other goombahs who work for Mr. Corinthos.

[Dominic chuckles]

Graciella: Ha! Thank you, Dominic.

Dominic: Ah, it's my pleasure. All right. You have a nice day.

Graciella: Thank you.

Michael: Hey, why are you helping the housekeeper?

Luke: Lucky's not blind and he's not stupid. You need to tell him that you're involved with his fiancée before he figures it out for himself.

Nikolas: If you think he needs to know the truth so bad, tell him yourself. Now's your chance.

[Indistinct chatter]

Lucky: Hey, Dad. We have dinner reservations at 8:00. What did you need to see me about?

Matt: Can you, when you get a chance, give me a consult about my patient?

Robin: Sure, I'll take a look.

Matt: Thank you very much.

Patrick: Ahh.

Matt: Oh! Touchdown. I'm not cleaning that up. And no texting and walking for you from now on. You're cut off.

Robin: So what's got you so enthralled?

Patrick: Um, do you remember Lisa, my college ex-girlfriend? Well, now Dr. Lisa. Now she's an orthopedic surgeon in Houston and she needs me to consult on a case because she doesn't trust the neuro on staff, so she's gonna send some MRIs and some ct scans over for me to take a look at.

Robin: Wow.

Patrick: Wow what?

Robin: Oh, nothing. Just, you know, your ex-girlfriend from college is contacting you right after you went out and had drinks with her friend. Her best friend. What a coincidence.

Patrick: I don't think it's a coincidence. Lisa and Louise talk every week. So I'm sure she mentioned that she saw me, but I don't think it's a big deal.

Matt: Wow. I'm, you know, I'm going to just, um, I've got work. You've some clean-up to do.

Patrick: Yeah, thank you.

Matt: Yeah, play nice. Uh, color me gone. I'm gone.

Patrick: Robin, it's my area of expertise.

Robin: Ah, which gives Lisa a perfect excuse to contact you, and reminisce about the bad old days.

Jax: You can't honestly be comparing me to Sonny.

Jason: Okay, I'm just saying that this is Carly's decision. I'm staying out of it, Jax.

Jax: All right, what about Carly's children, Jason? Shouldn't you speak on their behalf? Come on. I mean, because of Sonny, Michael and Morgan have been shot at, kidnapped and almost killed. Okay, but I don't need to tell you that, because you've witnessed it firsthand.

Jason: Hey, you think you can protect Carly's kids, you need to tell it to her.

Jax: I've tried, but she won't listen.

Jason: Then it's out of my hands.

Jax: Look, Carly's too upset to think clearly. And she's too stubborn to change her mind. I'm worried about her, Jason.

Jason: Michael's the one that I'm worried about right now, because the kid's in a lot of trouble from a situation that we all helped create. Now if Carly has a problem with your part in this, Jax, that's her right. And if you want to get her back, you need to convince her that you're equally concerned about all of her kids, including Michael.

Michael: So aren't you supposed to be working for my dad instead of helping Graciella with the chores?

Dominic: Yeah, I'm a good multitasker.

Michael: Why bother?

Dominic: Well, you know, it doesn't hurt to be nice once in a while. You know, offer to lend a hand. You're lucky. I mean, you had it good. You had a kitchen staff, mAIDS, people cleaning up after you all the time. And where I come from, the house staff was me and my mom.

Michael: Oh, so you're assuming because I'm the boss's son that I'm spoiled and lazy.

Dominic: Well, that's not what I said.

Michael: Yeah, well, you did say that I've been waited on hand and foot my whole life while you've been in the real world. That's pretty condescending.

Dominic: Yeah. I know I obviously rub you the wrong way. I don't mean to.

[Door opens]

Michael: No, I think you do. I think you resent that I'm the boss's son.

Lulu: Ooh. Looks like I caught you red-handed with Sonny's garbage.

[Dominic sighs]

Alexis: Jax doesn't even know I'm here.

Carly: Right. You came to talk to me out of the goodness of your heart because you and I are so close.

Alexis: I came here because Jax loves you, and he is devastated that he isn't at home with you right now.

Carly: You know what, that's Jax's fault.

Alexis: May I sit down? Because my feet really hurt.

Carly: Sure.

Alexis: Thanks. You and I both know that his intentions were good.

Carly: Jax did not warn me that Claudia was the one who had Michael put in a coma. Michael was at risk every single time he went to Sonny's house. Now you tell me, Alexis -- could you be so forgiving if it were one of your daughters?

Alexis: I honestly don't know.

Carly: Right.

Alexis: But I would hope, after I had time to process it, that I would realize his motives were benign, because he was, in fact, trying to protect you and your baby.

Carly: I know that. But he put Michael in danger to protect Josslyn.

Alexis: Carly, if you're going to look for ways to make Jax wrong, you will have no trouble doing that.

Carly: He was wrong!

Alexis: We've established that. Wow, you're stubborn. Let me ask you something. Do you still love your husband?

Carly: I love Jax more than anything, but I don't know if I can forgive him.

Alexis: Then take some advice from my bitter experience -- the more entrenched you get in who's right and who's wrong, the more you're going to lose your common ground. And at some point, it will be gone, and then you will find yourself in divorce court.

Carly: Okay. Today, right now -- I need space, and I need time.

Alexis: Okay. Fair enough. But during that time, I'm going to ask that you try to focus on Jax's finer qualities, and there are many. Because he's a wonderful person. He's made you very happy. You've had a wonderful marriage up till now. Don't mess it up.

[Carly sighs]

Lucky: You didn't mention you were coming by.

Nikolas: Oh, yeah. I just came down here to ask Luke if he heard anything from Helena.

Lucky: Is that why you called me? Cassadine trouble?

Luke: Well, I'll tell you the truth. I'd a lot rather deal with the dragon lady and her nest of vipers than this annoying paperwork, these stupid noise citations.

Lucky: And the only reason I came by early with the citation, because Elizabeth and I had plans. Didn't want the interruption.

Luke: Well, interruption's over. On your merry way.

Lucky: Why don't you just put your cards on the table? You don't approve of us getting remarried, do you?

Kristina: How do I look?

Kiefer: That's a pretty bad bruise. Does it hurt?

Kristina: Yeah, it hurts. You hit me really hard.

Kiefer: [Sighs] Sorry.

Kristina: Yeah, you're always sorry.

Kiefer: I don't know what came over me, okay?

Kristina: Kiefer, you yelled at me, called me names. You accused me of sending my dad's guards after you, and then you hit me.

Kiefer: Look, I'd never want to hurt you, okay? I just lost it. Not that it's any excuse. Just, I got so pissed off when those two goons came after me and threatened me and told me to treat your brother with respect. I figured you were the one that sent them. Obviously you wouldn't, but it just had to be Michael.

Kristina: If Michael did, then he was wrong. But that still doesn't excuse you for hitting me.

Kiefer: No, it doesn't. [Sighs] I'm sorry I did that. It's just, you're so pretty and so sweet. I don't know how I can ever be angry with you.

Kristina: I just don't know how I'm going to explain this to my mom.

Kiefer: Well, you can't go home with your face bleeding. I'll take you to the hospital.

Kristina: If we go, they'll want to know how this happened.

Dominic: What are you doing here at Mr. Corinthos' house? Not that I'm complaining.

Lulu: Hmm. I came to see how you're doing.

Michael: Oh, I'm good. Better than ever, actually. How are you? I heard you almost died of hypothermia.

Lulu: Yeah, yeah. That was a scary situation. I'm very glad I survived. And this guy here is my savior.

Michael: Dominic?

Dominic: Ah, I just kept Lulu company.

Lulu: He kept me talking to distract me from the rising water level.

Michael: Yeah, he's a pretty handy guy. First he helps you, then the housekeeper. Maybe one day, he'll get around to helping Dad.

[Dominic chuckles]

Lulu: [Chuckles] Wow. What was that about?

Dominic: Well, I guess I'm not Michael's favorite person right now.

Lulu: If he knew what I knew about you --

Dominic: Yeah, let's not go there.

Jax: I love Michael and Morgan as if they were my own.

Jason: I don't think Carly agrees.

Jax: [Sighs] Look, Josslyn's just a baby, okay? Morgan's a little boy, and Michael is a young man who's capable of making his own decisions. And in fact, he's asked not to be treated like a child.

Jason: Well, Michael doesn't always know what's best for him.

Jax: That's an understatement. Since Michael came out of the coma, he's repeatedly asked to spend more time at Sonny's.

Jason: If you'd spoken up, Claudia wouldn't have been an issue.

Jax: I knew that you were watching her every minute of the day, Jason. I knew that she wasn't a threat to Michael.

Jason: Well, except the fact that when Michael and Kristina ran away, Claudia hired Jerry to go after them.

Jax: I didn't know Jerry was going to be in Mexico.

Jason: We're wasting our time here, okay? You're wasting your breath. I don't know what to say. You need to convince Carly, not me.

Jax: I know that, I know that, but you can help, okay? She doesn't want our marriage to fall apart. Michael needs a stable home; an alternative to Sonny's way of life. I'm not asking you to lie, Jason. I'm not asking you to say something that you don't believe. I'm really asking that you --

[Door opens]

Carly: Jason, Jax went to Alexis -- what are you doing here? Don't tell me that you're trying to get Jason to work me for you.

[Music playing]

Elizabeth: Why don't we just get the papers and go?

Lucky: Yeah, as soon as Dad answers me.

Elizabeth: Well, we don't want to miss our reservation.

Lucky: Looks like you're off the hook.

Luke: You know, you're right. I could give a damn if Miles Davis blasting out of this place in the wee hours of the morning disturbs the peace. I called you down here because I think you've got this crazy idea that I don't wish you and Elizabeth happiness. And I do. The two of you had a roller coaster ride, more ups and downs than most people would have in a lifetime. And you survived it. I'm just hoping that you've learned from your mistakes.

Lucky: Actually, Dad, I'm thinking I'm just repeating them all. But now that you've advised against it, we'll reconsider.

Luke: I'm trying to look out for you, Lucky.

Lucky: We wouldn't be doing this, Dad, if we weren't sure. Okay? So thank you for your concern, but to be honest, I'm feeling kind of nostalgic for your old narcissism. Thank you for these. Come on, let's go.

Nikolas: Since when did you start monitoring his personal life?

Luke: Since you decided to drop-kick his trust and fool around with his fiancée.

Patrick: If this bothers you, I can tell Lisa I'm just not available.

Robin: Please. I'm not bothered by an ex-girlfriend contacting you.

Patrick: Are you sure?

Robin: Yes! I'm just saying, it's not a coincidence. It's perfectly normal for an ex-girlfriend to, you know, wonder how you're doing and who you're with, if you're fat and balding.

Patrick: Oh, gosh, I hope not.

Robin: Oh, just give it time, honey.

Patrick: But you'll still love me, right?

Robin: Of course. You know I'll love you forever.

Patrick: Thank you.

Robin: And I am not threatened by Dr. Lisa Niles.

Patrick: Good. You shouldn't.

Robin: Unless, you know, you're still into her or something.

Patrick: Lisa and I didn't exactly have what you'd call a committed relationship. I cheated on her just as much as she cheated on me.

Robin: Well, at least the expectations weren't high.

Patrick: We had fun. You know, I liked her. But we weren't anywhere near love. So, no, I'm not still into her.

Robin: Good.

Patrick: Good.

Robin: Well, then, happy consulting.

Patrick: Thank you.

Robin: Hey, Kristina. Wow. That's quite a bruise you got there.

Kiefer: Yeah, her lip is bleeding, too. I thought she should get it checked.

Robin: Can I take a look?

Kristina: Yeah.

Robin: Looks like a surface wound. Not too deep.

Kiefer: Okay, well, I'll take care of her.

Robin: How'd it happen?

Kiefer: Uh, K tripped and fell.

Olivia: So what'd you want to see me about?

Lulu: Um, I was wondering what you know about Dominic Pirelli.

Olivia: Uh, not much, why?

Lulu: I just thought that you guys were close from the carnival, because you were visiting him at the hospital.

Olivia: Well, I was worried about him, just like I would have about anybody. But, um, what about you guys? You're dating? Are you seeing each other?

Lulu: Oh, no, no. I mean, not really. We might, I guess.

Olivia: You like him.

Lulu: He -- he saved my life the night that Carly was kidnapped. I was drowning, and he was amazing. He's a really good guy. I'm worried about him, though.

Olivia: Why is that?

Lulu: Because he's in a high-risk profession, and, uh -- I was thinking, since you seem to care about him and you guys are from the same neighborhood, that he might listen if you were to advise him to quit.

Olivia: You know, don't you?

Lulu: That Dominic is really Dante, the cop? Your son? Yeah. I know.

Carly: You're trying to use Jason to convince me that you're right and I'm wrong?

Jax: You know, maybe we should stop using labels like right and wrong.

Carly: You're wrong. It was wrong to lie to me, and now you're going behind my back to manipulate me into forgiving you when I can't. You put Michael at risk.

Jax: Sonny puts Michael at risk, okay? So does Jason. And so do you. First by being with Sonny, and now by insisting that Michael cover up what really happened to Claudia.

Carly: You always do this. You always shift the blame.

Jax: Tell me that it hasn't crossed your mind that maybe it would have been smarter to go to the police and tell them the truth instead of making Michael go along with this cover-up. Maybe it would be better if Michael just dealt with the consequences.

Carly: Michael killed Claudia to protect me and his little sister. Why'd he have to do that?!

Jax: By covering this up, you're handing Michael over to a life in the mob. And you're blaming me for trying to protect my family. Sorry I wasted your time.

Carly: Don't. Don't look at me like that.

Lucky: Ah. Sorry about the scene earlier.

Elizabeth: Oh, you don't need to apologize.

Lucky: No, I shouldn't have dragged you over to the Haunted Star for round 347 of my dad and I going at each other.

Elizabeth: Oh, your dad just has a way of baiting people even if he doesn't intend to.

Lucky: Yeah. I don't know. When I was a kid, we were inseparable. And we got along and finished each other's sentences.

Elizabeth: Mmm, I know how much you admired him.

Lucky: I wanted to be just like him. I wanted to be him. And now -- I don't know, I just can't help but see all the ways we're different.

Elizabeth: Well, you are the best part of Luke Spencer. He knows it, and he loves you for it.

Lucky: My mom's the best part of him. And he knows that. When I was younger, even when we fought, we could always say what was on our minds. Now he's throwing out these veiled warnings with nothing to back them up. I don't know if he's lost it or what.

Elizabeth: Yeah, I know, that kind of surprises me, too. 'Cause, I mean, the man that doesn't want to be involved in his kid's lives and doesn't really care what you guys do or think.

Lucky: There's only one explanation I can think of.

Elizabeth: And what's that?

Lucky: Well, Dad's marriage to Mom didn't last. So he thinks that ours can't, either.

Elizabeth: That's kind of a stretch to compare us to your parents.

Lucky: No, not really. He never got over the divorce. So in some subconscious way, he needs to believe you and I are headed down the same road.

Luke: You know how much I hate this? This is not me, getting involved like this. But I just can't sit on my hands while I watch Lucky get cuckolded by his older brother.

Nikolas: I'm not proud of what I'm doing, okay?

Luke: Well, then, stay away from Elizabeth.

Nikolas: I've tried. I can't. Look, I have genuine feelings for her. What do you want me to do?

Luke: Please, don't give me this self-serving crap!

Nikolas: Don't get righteous on me now, Luke. You've rationalized your share of bad behavior, don't you think?

Luke: Lucky has proved his loyalty to you in more ways that I can count, and this is how you repay him? By screwing his fiancée?

Nikolas: It's not like that.

Luke: No? Really? How is it, then? You're what, are you like soul mates? This is true love or something? Oh, come on. You are cuckolding your brother, and you don't give a damn about it. You know what the kicker is? For years, he's been telling me that I didn't give you a fair shake. That you were loyal and you were generous to a fault.

Nikolas: Wait a minute, you did exactly the same thing. You betrayed your own best friend, Scott, remember? By falling in love with Laura? You remember that?

Luke: That's completely different.

Nikolas: You're right, it was. I didn't rape Elizabeth.

Olivia: So how did you find out about Dante?

Lulu: After Dominic was hit by the car, I went to go see him in the hospital and I found his badge. He covered pretty well. I actually believed him. Your son can be very convincing.

Olivia: Don't I know it.

Lulu: And I heard him talking on the docks with Ronnie. I was drugged at the time. It's a long story. And I didn't remember at first what I had heard. But then it came back to me when I was in that freezing water with Dominic. I know he's undercover and he is gathering evidence against Sonny.

Olivia: So what are you going to do about it?

Lulu: Why did you let Dominic come to Port Charles in the first place? When you found out that he was going to be undercover, gathering evidence against Sonny?

Olivia: I didn't know. He was already in Port Charles undercover by the time I found out.

Lulu: You are one of Sonny's oldest friends. He trusts you. Carly trusts you. None of them know that your son is working to put Sonny in prison.

Olivia: I know.

Lulu: What about Dominic? His cover could get blown at any minute. You need to get him off this case before anybody gets hurt.

Olivia: Lulu, do you really think that I haven't done everything in my power to get my son to leave this town?

Ronnie: What is this evidence?

Dominic: This is real subtle of you to just come into my room. You might as well just have a sign that says I'm undercover.

Ronnie: Look, when you call and tell me to alert forensics and Sid, you've got something that connects Sonny Corinthos with Claudia's murder, well, then, I'm just figuring that your case is about to break and your cover won't be an issue anymore. So now what do you got?

Dominic: This.

Ronnie: Ashes? Are you serious? Why don't you just pull a few banana peels out of Sonny's garbage can, while you're at it?

Dominic: Look, have them analyzed. I'm betting that these ashes will prove that Sonny killed Claudia Zacchara.

Carly: This is really hard. This is so hard, because Jax is so wonderful. And he was so loving and he was so supportive when I was pregnant. And he made me wonderful meals and he took care of me and he was so concerned and terrified about my condition, and he was so worried something was going to happen to me. And everything was okay. You know, everything was fine. And when we got through it great. And then the night she's born, I find out about all the lies. Everything.

Jason: I'm sorry about that, Carly.

Carly: What if I can't get past this? What if I can't forgive him?

Jason: If you want to, you're going to find a way to do it.

Carly: [Sighs] Oh, God. I thought Jax was the best thing that ever happened to me. I love him so much. And you know me, when I have something good, I just pick up a sledgehammer and I destroy it.

Jason: Nothing's being destroyed yet.

Carly: [Sighs] Jason. I mean, is it really so bad? Is this really that bad, or am I just being stubborn?

Jason: Well, that's for you to decide.

Carly: Please stop. Stop being so reasonable. I need you to tell me what to do.

Jason: No, I'm not going to tell you what to do, because every time I told you to go back to Sonny's -- I was wrong. I'm not going to talk you into anything.

Carly: Okay. Well, my main concern right now is Michael. I gotta take care of my kid. I want to go to Sonny's, and I'm going to bring him home. Tonight.

Elizabeth: Do you think maybe your parents' break-up is partly the reason you want to get married again? To prove love can last?

Lucky: I'm not out to fix my parents' mistakes. I'm too busy working on the ones we've made.

Elizabeth: You've forgiven me when I've done the unforgivable.

Lucky: We've both messed up. But we're finding our way back, because we have something that won't ever go away.

Elizabeth: You know what I did the other night?

Lucky: What?

Elizabeth: I made a list of all the wonderful memories we've shared together.

Lucky: All right, let's hear it.

Elizabeth: [Chuckles] The list went on for pages and pages. Like when you lived in a box car and we painted it together. I remember when we said our vows in that empty church.

Lucky: Yeah.

Elizabeth: Oh, do you remember that trip we took to New York? We were planning our future and you were going to be a musician, I was going to be an artist. We had big dreams.

Lucky: We'll create new ones, and we'll spend the rest of our lives making them come true.

Elizabeth: You have so much faith in us.

Lucky: Because when I look at you, I see my whole life -- my past, my present, and my future. And I know that if we can just hold on to each other, even our history is going to make us stronger.

Elizabeth: Lucky --

Lucky: I know that you worry about all that's gone wrong, but -- read your list again. So much has gone right, Elizabeth. And if we keep living our lives with regrets, we're going to miss out. We're going to miss out on all the good that's happening right now. And that's -- that's what we should be focusing on, don't you think?

Luke: So this is how it works, huh? You're going to bend over backwards to justify your behavior by saying I'm worse? I never cuckolded my own blood.

Nikolas: Luke, come on. You raped a woman that you claimed to love. Come on.

Luke: You're living down to your name, you know that, Cassadine? The worst thing I can say about you, Nikolas, is you're a credit to the family.

Nikolas: We're not as different as you'd like to believe.

Luke: No. The difference is that I don't justify my behavior by saying somebody else is worse.

Nikolas: Wait a minute, Luke. Really? How do you keep from choking on your own pride? I mean, here you are, Luke Spencer, the king of bad asses, right? You climb up onto your high horse so you can look down your nose and condemn the rest of us whenever you're feeling holier than thou.

Luke: I don't have to condemn you, Nikolas. Your lies are going to condemn you. Because you're living up to the family name. You're going to destroy everybody you care about.

Nikolas: Which makes me no different than you, right?

Sam: Are you busy?

Jason: No.

Sam: Well, that's good, because I needed your advice on a case that I'm working on.

Jason: Okay, I'd like to help.

Sam: Good. So this client that I have under surveillance, she left her apartment this morning and she didn't show up to her office, and I actually was downtown for so long and stuck in all this traffic, and I wound up losing her.

Jason: Well, did you check her office?

Sam: Yeah, of course.

Jason: Well, then, you know what, maybe we should break into her apartment and see if we can find any clues.

Sam: No, um, that's probably not a really good idea.

Jason: Well, come on. If she's missing --

Sam: No, no, okay. Fine. I made the whole thing up. I just really wanted to see you.

Jason: What am I going to do with you?

Dominic: A witness sees Sonny came back to his house at 3 A.M. on the same night as Claudia's disappearance. He was wearing a light gray shirt with what appears to be a bloody handprint on it. I go to Sonny's house an hour later, and he's changed his clothes and in the fireplace, the remnants of burnt clothing.

Ronnie: Let me guess -- the fireplace ashes.

Dominic: That's the first time the fireplace has been cleaned since that night.

Ronnie: Look, even if the bloody handprint on the shirt was Claudia's, I mean, Sonny didn't get to where he is by being a stupid guy.

Dominic: All we need is a fragment of that shirt.

Ronnie: Yeah, if it's not up in smoke.

Dominic: Look. Take it to the lab. Of Claudia's blood is on there, and Sonny's DNA, that goes a long way to proving Sonny committed murder.

Lulu: Dominic said he won't stop until Sonny's busted.

Olivia: Well -- my son is a very dedicated cop.

Lulu: He says he's trying to get justice for a cop that Sonny had killed. It's very admirable, but his life is on the line.

Olivia: Honey, if I had a nickel for every time I said that to my son, I would be a millionaire.

Lulu: So you can't get through to Dominic?

Olivia: I don't see what there is that I can do, short of confessing everything and throwing myself on Sonny's mercy.

Lulu: Why don't you do that? Why don't you tell Sonny who Dominic is and what he's doing. Dominic hasn't gathered enough evidence against Sonny yet. So this can end before anybody gets hurt. Look, Sonny and you are old friends. You can make him understand.

Olivia: You're making a lot of huge assumptions here. Sonny can be a very warm and generous man. He can also be deadly when you cross him.

Lulu: Sonny values the people that he is close to. He has always been loyal to me and my father, and he has known you even longer.

Olivia: I get it. But this is like the ultimate betrayal to him. This is not something that he's just going to forgive.

Lulu: Dominic is your kid.

Olivia: Trust me. If the truth came out, it would destroy his life. Okay? So I am begging you. He saved your life. Please return the favor by keeping his identity to yourself.

[Lulu sighs]

Elizabeth: Sometimes I wonder who I really am. We've both changed so much over the years.

Lucky: Maybe that's a good thing.

Elizabeth: Is it?

Lucky: Well, we were so young when we fell in love. We had to grow up. Experience things. Maybe we had to go our separate ways to get to where we are today. And now we're here, looking forward to the rest of our lives.

Elizabeth: What if I disappoint you? What if I hurt you again?

Lucky: You can't live like that, Elizabeth. Constantly scared of what you might do wrong. You're too hard on yourself, you always have been.

Elizabeth: [Scoffs] With good reason.

Lucky: Do you trust me?

Elizabeth: Of course I do.

Lucky: Then trust me on this. We're going to make it this time. I love you. For who you are. For your kindness and your generosity. And for your strength and your love. The way you laugh. And listen to me when I need to talk. And the way you call me on my mistakes, but you always -- find a way to forgive me. You're my first love. And my last. And that's why -- I hope that you will accept this ring as a symbol of my love for you and our promise to marry.

Alexis: I'm sorry. I need to borrow -- [Gasps]

Dominic: Okay, it's true. Sonny's fireplace ashes might be a long shot, but you always tell me not to leave any stone unturned, right?

Ronnie: You can't get DNA evidence from incinerated clothing.

Dominic: Yeah, and no murder is foolproof, especially when it's been covered up as quickly as Claudia's has. Look, we already have a witness Sonny doesn't even know exists. All we need to find is corroborating evidence, and this might be it.

Ronnie: Fine. I'll bring this to the forensic Sid guys, and I'll try not to mind when they laugh in my face.

Lulu: Sorry. I didn't know you had company. Ronnie, right?

Ronnie: Yeah. You're the girl from the hospital?

Lulu: Yeah, Lulu. You guys seem pretty serious. Shall I guess what you're working on?

Carly: So where's Michael?

Max: He's upstairs, Mrs. J.

Carly: All right, I'll go get him.

Max: You know, the boss isn't here. He might not like it if you --

Carly: Michael! If Sonny has a problem with it, he can come to my house, we can hash it out there.

Max: If this is about what Milo and I did, you know, we weren't going to hurt the kid, honest.

Carly: Hurt who? What are you talking about?

Max: Kiefer, that little punk Kristina's been dating. Michael wanted us to shake him up a little bit, you know, put the fear of God in him. But that's all we did. We did not touch --

Carly: Michael, get down here, please.

Michael: Yeah, Mom, what's going on? Why aren't you at home with Josslyn?

Carly: You and I are going home together.

Michael: No, wait. I'm staying here with Dad.

Carly: I'm your mother, and I need you home with me.

Michael: Look, I don't belong there, and you know it.

Carly: That's not true.

Michael: I killed Claudia. Dad understands why I did it. He says he's proud of me for protecting my family.

[Carly sighs]

Max: You can discuss it with the boss after all. Mr. C. just pulled into the driveway.

Lucky: Did I pick the wrong ring?

Elizabeth: No. I love the ring. It's perfect. You're perfect.

Lucky: Elizabeth, what's -- what's going on?

Elizabeth: I'm so afraid of losing you.

Lucky: You won't.

Elizabeth: I love you, and I need you in my life. My boys need you. And I am just so afraid, if we get married, we're going to risk what we have. Not because of you, but because of me.

Lucky: You just tell me, please. Just tell me what it is. Okay, whatever it is, we can work through it. No matter what you've done, we can get past it.

Elizabeth: I love you with all my heart. I need you to know that.

Lucky: I do know.
